A couple years later, while volunteering at a refugee camp in Thailand, I stayed in a run down building where a gibbon was kept as a pet in a tree (much less enlightened in those days). The singing was wonderful unfortunately the only nonhuman primate listening was a macaque in a neighboring tree. Gibbons really do suffer from exploitation as we as habitat loss. iCloud Photos on MAC and iPhone

In this tutorial, I show you how to download photos from the iCloud servers directly to your Mac or a USB HDD connected to your Mac.

A lot of you asked for this tutorial so I hope it helps you all. Once you have setup iCloud and the Photos app correctly there isn't a "download all" option like in Windows. Photos will begin downloading the files automatically from iCloud in the background. Here are some time stamps to help:

1. Create a default library for Photos app: 0:45

2. Select where the files will be stored: 1:14

3. Setup iCloud: 2:06

4. Enable iCloud Photo Library: 2:56

5. Locate photos that have been downloaded: 3:35 If you don't want to use step 5 you can export the photos directly from the Photos app under

File > Export and then choose the destination. Some people may prefer this method.

With iPhoto, we often recommended breaking image libraries into multiple iPhoto Libraries, and only loading the library with which you intended to work. This was especially true if you had large photo libraries, which tend to bog down iPhoto and make it run slower than molasses.

Remotely transfer iPhoto images to iPhone

Photos for OS X doesn’t suffer from this same problem; it can breeze through a large photo library with ease. But there are other reasons you may want to maintain multiple libraries with Photos, particularly if you plan to use Photos with the iCloud Photo Library.
