“Floyd, could you sing to me?”
The big brother looked up from where he was tucking the blanket under Branch’s feet. “Sure thing,” he said with a light smile. “What would you like to hear? A lullaby?”
“I don’t know,” Branch mumbled as he nestled his head into the pillow. “You choose.”
Floyd could still see a crease of worry between his baby brother’s brows. He softly brushed a thumb over it in a silent reassurance that everything was going to be okay before he turned around to reach for their dad’s old guitar.
I think Floyd would often sing to Branch to get him to fall asleep, usually the songs and lullabies their parents sang when the older four were still little.
I know in the movie it seemed like they all left right after their fight, but I like to imagine that they just stormed off to cool off and that they actually left in the following days. And that this was the last song Floyd sang for Branch that night. :')
Both Sides Now (specifically this cover by Voncken)
Rows and flows of angel hair
And ice cream castles in the air
And feather canyons everywhere
I've looked at clouds that way
But now they only block the sun
They snow and rain on everyone
So many things I would've done
But clouds got in the way
I've looked at clouds from both sides now
From up and down, and still somehow
It's clouds’ illusions, I recall
I really don't know clouds at all
Moons and Junes and Ferris wheels
The dizzy dancin' way you feel
When every fairy tale comes real
I've looked at love that way
But now it's just another show
You leave 'em laughin' as you go
And if you care, don't let them know
Don't give yourself away
I've looked at love from both sides now
From give and take, and still somehow
It's love's illusions, I recall
I really don't know love at all
Tears and fears and feeling proud
To say "I love you" right out loud
Dreams and schemes and circus crowds
I've looked at life that way
But now my friends, they’re acting strange
They shake their heads, and say I've changed
Well, something's lost, but something's gained
In living life each day
I've looked at life from both sides now
From up and down
And give and take
And win and lose, and still somehow
It's life's illusions, I recall
I really don't know life...
I really don't know life at all

Ya know what shout out to butches who wrestle with our butchness because we don’t fit the mold in some way. Butches who aren’t physically strong or naturally caretaking because of physical disability, who need to be cared for, who can’t hold open the door for a femme. Butches with long hair, butches with big hair, butches who express their culture via their hair. Butches who’s masculinity is shaped by their culture, who’s masculinity doesn’t fit the white eurocentric mold. Fat butches, butches with curves viewed as feminine, butches who don’t have skinny, boyish builds. Butches who don’t want to be sexualized, butches on the ace spectrum. Butches who don’t have traditionally masculine interests or mannerisms or whatever. Effeminate butches. Butches who take inspo from gay men. Butches who like the occasional dress or skirt. TRANSFEM BUTCHES!!!!! And any other butches who don’t fit a certain mold!! All butches are good butches and we are all valid.

the passive aggressive comments from ted's mom.....contrasted by how emotionally available jamie's mom is......like yeah. Yeah. sometimes a relationship with your mother may have people outside believing it's sunshine & sunflowers when really it's all superficial. and sometimes she will do nice things like leave notes in your lunches or bake your favorite bread, but when push comes to shove she isn't really There for you in the way you need. you can't cuddle with her on the couch and cry your eyes out and hear supportive words. she won't watch your football match even if you invite her. she'll leave before you wake up so she doesn't have to say goodbye. it's all this yearning for connection, but on her dime. she controls when to let you in or when she hangs you out to dry and you never get a say. you can't verbalize your needs or wants because you weren't allowed to or just plain never learnt the tools to.
it's not because she doesn't love you — it feels even unfair saying that, she clearly loves you — but because people can only connect with others as deeply as they connect with themselves. so when you better yourself, grow, try to unlearn the same toxic behaviors she imparted on you, she'll hit you with the insecure guilt trip of "ooh let me guess, it's all my fault" and you'll think fuck you

An archangel is actually a type of babygirl,
We've all seen The gabe dress but I had a divine vision of him in a kroj (Czech folk costume) and y'know what? I was right. He slays. What's the point of art if not to take some fictional guy, say "that's my wife" and put clothes on him like a paper doll
Anyway I think everyone should draw him in their culture's folk costume now. I wanna start a trend
((bonus sketch idk if I'll finish,,))
