masterlist
requested: y - “Hii, could you make one about Timothée and reader having a toddler, and just pure fluff please 🫶🏻”
pairings: dad!timothee chalamet x mom!reader
warnings: fluff + child has been given a name + established relationship
a/n: this is short I’m sorry love!
silence never fills the walls of your New York apartment anymore— at least not since aurora, your daughter, was born.
her presence has been a blessing, there’s no doubt to that, but when the silence exists it’s deafening. which is why you’re concerned at six am when the pitter-patter of little feet against the hardwood floor is nonexistent. she’s only four, you think to yourself, there’s no way she’s learned to sleep in yet.
Timothee, your husband, is dead asleep beside you. he couldn’t of heard a tornado hit with the way he sleeps, and you don’t blame him. work and production of the upcoming films he was in were beginning to start, and sleep was lacking with not only a toddler, but work.
so yes, he had his reasons to sleep in, but aurora didn’t.
you heave out a worried sigh, throwing the blankets off your body, exposing you to the cool air of the room. you slip on your slippers and trudge down the hall towards her bedroom. the homemade sign of her name Timothee made hangs loose on the door, the stickers her and Pauline stuck to the wood were fading, but stuck like glue. you push open the door carefully, to see her blinds are pushed open already, and she’s dressed herself.
“aurora,” your groggy voice jolts her head from the book in her lap, it’s timothees copy of dune that she stole because it reminder her of him. he spent months in the desert thinking of you two, and she spent months pretending the fat book in her lap was readable.
“mommy, is daddy awake?” she slips off the bed, book falling open onto the ground, she brushes past you headed straight for your bedroom door that’s closed. she doesn’t give you a second to reply, the man in the cozy bedroom is all she cares about and you don’t blame her. his presence was absent due to filming, any chance she got cozying up with him was a win in her book
you don’t have in your heart to warn her that he’s sleep. she’s already pushed open the door and by the time you slip into the dark room, she’s made herself comfortable in his arms. he’s barely awake, but when he felt her finger poke his chest, he unconsciously lifted his arms up.
you slip back under the sheets, turning in bed to look at the two. their mouths part the same way, their strains of curly brown hair fall over their faces in the exact same way.
you watch his eyes flutter open for a brief minute, he takes a look down at her, and then at you. your eyes are shut once again, forehead touching auroras, the two of you are sound asleep, and he doesn’t hesitate to sink further into the mattress and let sleep wash over him.

A DC X DP IDEA # 24
A Chill Protector
Imagine dis…
We all heard about the different spirits hidden beneath the thick blanket of snow, and how winter and ice were always associated with death. As many succumb to the winter cold weather.
Parents tell their children myths and legends to their children as the snow spirits will drag them out of their warm home if they ever misbehave. Snow spirits both legends/ myths alike walk along the icy path and will drag any unsuspecting traveler to be their next victim. The horror stories he saw and heard as to why no matter how officials try to recover the bodies that might have been lost to the blizzard and snow could never have a body to return to.
But not all snow-related spirits from any legend or myth are there to lead us to a cold death. Some are protectors, to children who simply lost their way or even they join in the play.
But did you know there was a protector from the old?
Danny Phantom edition
Little Bruce Wayne is running to where no one knows, not even himself. That year will be the first Christmas without his parents. In the cold harsh winter in Gotham, tears never stopped flowing through. Alfred tried his best he did but some holes could not be filled with gingerbread cookies or hot cocoa. Little Bruce kept on running and running, he wanted his parents to be here, his mom who could be heard singing Christmas carols in the manor while his dad secretly put the gifts under the Christmas tree and signed the gifts from Santa, he missed the times where they would decorate the Christmas tree with both his mom and dad.
Little Bruce ran until he found himself in the middle of nowhere. There were street lampposts but no people, perhaps they had already begun to hide themselves from the upcoming harsh winter. Little Bruce tried to go back, he turned and turned but could not remember where he came from. A harsh blizzard heading towards Gotham that day, Little Bruce remembers as the dark grey clouds started to form out of nowhere.
Little Bruce tried to hide from the upcoming blizzard by squishing himself in between the dumpsters in the far corner. He knew that even if he asked for help there would be a likely chance for him to be kidnapped and be ransomed than be helped. He may be born from the higher class but he is still a Gothamite and knows of the dangers of outing himself.
Unluckily some homeless men saw and recognized him and tried to corner him, Little Bruce ran again into the unknown. He tries to lose his pursuers by sandwiching himself in between dumpsters. He had held his breath when the said pursuers ran past his hiding spots in their midst of angry grunts.
As he tried to warm himself a stranger went and crouched in front of him. Little Bruce never heard the crunching of boots when he walked so he was understandably startled, thinking that he was one of the men who were after him. A young boy with soft white hair, probably dyed a thought passed by, the bluest of eyes he had ever seen from anybody, freckles that looked like snowflakes decorating his cheeks, and an impish grin as he wore a white hoodie and cargo pants with sneakers and carrying a blue umbrella staring at Little Bruce with clear playfulness in his eyes.
Little Bruce knows that winter in Gotham is far worse than anywhere in the States yet he never seemed to question the stranger to only have a hoodie and shorts.
Little Bruce is wary of the stranger but he just puts an umbrella on top of him and puts his finger on his lips making a shushing gesture and noise as he winks playfully to Bruce.
Bruce who already sensed that this stranger had no malice but pure playfulness copied him giving his grin and shush.
Next, he was there holding an umbrella on top of his head the next time Little Bruce blinked he was gone.
When he tried to look for the kind stranger, he saw Alfred running towards him with clear relief and exhaustion. Alfred tried to scan him for any injuries, when little Bruce tried to ask about the kind stranger Alfred mentioned how it was a miracle, that he was still alive after 3 hours in this kind of weather.
Little Bruce kept telling Alfred that there was someone, someone who was kind someone who hid him someone who put an umbrella over his head. As the years went by Bruce kept looking for that kind Samaritan who saved him that day but over the years that memory made Bruce think that it may have been the light and the snow that made him imagine that stranger, how he was still grieving over his parents at the time. He concluded that the stranger was nothing more than a figment of his imagination to deal with his grief at that time.
Years later Batman along with his sons Nightwing, Red Hood, Red Robin, and Robin were on a mission in the high ridge in Antarctica on the East Antarctic Plateau. About a suspicious sound wave which resulted in them botching another alien invasion. But before they could even go back to the plane another dying alien had shot an explosive in their direction, it may have missed them but their transportation was destroyed. Another blizzard was expected in a few minutes which brought the temperature to -135.8 F. They may have some heat built in their suits but not enough to warm them into the upcoming blizzard. It will take hours before Oracle and the others back send help to them. Superman is on a mission in outer space and cannot hear them.
As they make a makeshift shelter from the debris of the broken plane each then starts a quiet yet somber conversation with one another. Without the screaming and the death threats some of them had a few things to say to each other, Dick tried to be optimistic as they have survived far more dangerous situations and scenarios surely they can survive this and remove it from their bingo card. Maybe it’s an unconscious belief of their upcoming death, the heat sensors in their suit are already working overtime to give them warmth when fighting off the aliens, they could already see the battery in it draining as fast as they see the strongest snow storm approaching.
Batman had his entire arms surround each of his children. Wishing that his children survived this as he could hear the howling icy wind coming through the tiny cracks in their makeshift shelter.
Suddenly Batman heard the unmistakable sound of crunching of boots in the snow. He also noticed that all of his children fell into a deep sleep with how deep each breathing was. He slowly looked up and widened his eyes at what he saw.
There standing is the same white-haired teen wearing the same hoodie, the same pants, the same shoes, and carrying the same umbrella looking at him with the same playfulness twinkling in his eyes.
The teen once more opened his umbrella and put it over the head of Bruce along with his children who were huddled together. Slowly put his finger to his lips and made the same shushing sound and gesture as if they were back in the alley in between dumpsters hiding the little Bruce Wayne as if they were playing hide and seek.
Batman was just staring at him, one moment he was there next moment he was gone, like back then. Spoiler and Orphan found and came rushing to their location as they had been looking for them for 6 hours the snow and wind made it difficult to look for them.
Danny had fully died when he was 78 years old, he formed and turned back into his ghostly prime of 14 years old and turned into some sort of protective spirit of the winter side. Frostbite explained on how the great one can finally stop the stigma against winter spirits. Frostbite explained that the majority of the winter spirits are vengeful to the mortals, sure his tribe to end the stigma but many people just kept running away from them and when they went near a mortal they were already dead and buried them for the death rites, As Danny is both protector and a winter spirit he can finally stop the stigma as well continue fulfilling his obsession. Clockwork then added that he had the perfect dimension as a tutorial for Danny.
PS: If someone out there wanted to continue or make a fic about this you are free to do so, don’t forget to tag me though.

Hello! 💕 I love your work!
May I request a small drabble where Roan is at a stage when she's so fascinated with reader's makeup and outfits that Roan wants to copy her mom's style.
Thank you!
thank you for your request!! I know you sent it in April but I hope you can enjoy regardless! dad!eddie x fem!reader, 1.8k
Roan is trying to be respectful. She really, truly is, but this is her chance. She can hear you in the bathroom talking to her dad where he's sitting with his back to the closed door. Eddie hadn't paid Roan any mind when she walked past him into your room, because Roan isn't badly behaved. Well, usually.
She knows she shouldn't touch your things without asking, but she just loves how you look before you go out with your friends —you'd traipsed down the stairs yesterday afternoon in a casual dress and flats with your make up all shiny and dewy and pretty— and she wants to look pretty too.
She looks through your make up bag cautiously. She doesn't want to break anything. Eddie's laughing loudly now, and the door must be ajar because your voice is louder. You're telling a story, and Eddie's eating it up, he's practically shouting he's laughing so much. Roan stands up to go and investigate, but then she thinks maybe she won't get to do this again, so she sits back down and picks up a lip gloss.
Roan jumps as you get out of the bath, a plastic pulling sound like skin rubbed against porcelain ringing down the hall. She's on high alert, and she's scared of being caught, and she definitely didn't think this through. She grabs your make up bag and flees to the wardrobe, throwing open the doors and climbing inside. She shouts the door behind her, holding her breath in the dark.
You walk into the bedroom, Eddie on your tail.
"I don't think you should hang out with her anymore," Eddie's saying, his voice still laden with laughter.
"By that logic I should've stopped hanging out with you a long time ago," you say. You squeal like you've been pinched, adding, "A long long time ago."
"Yeah, you should've. Do you want to go anywhere, or are we putting our pyjamas on?"
There's thirty seconds of relative silence and then sound. A plastic lid from your body butter, the bedside table lamp being turned on, Eddie coughing. Her dad's been sick this week, a cold Roan miraculously didn't catch. She made sure to give him extra cuddles and he healed up pretty fast. Roan the Healing Balm, he called her.
"Nowhere," you say finally. A drawer rolls on its hinges. "Did you want to–"
"Nah, just wondering. We need crackers for Ro's lunch tomorrow and toilet paper, but we can get those in the morning. That smells nice, what one is that?"
"One you got me, uh, mandarin and something. Ylang-ylang?"
"Smells good."
"You want some?"
"I'm okay."
"No, come here."
Roan holds your make up bag closer to her chest. She pushes the door gently to widen a slit so she can spy on you. You're in pyjamas now, a towel wrapped around your hair, sockless and climbing onto the bed where Eddie's lying. He sits up. Roan's worried she'll be caught, so she lets the door fall back into place.
Mattress springs shift, and Eddie says, "It's cold."
"Your arms are sooo long," you say simply. There's a smacking sound like a kiss. "And kissable! Who knew?"
"I love you," Eddie says warmly.
"I love you too…" There's another kiss. "You're pretty."
"You're pretty," Eddie says.
"Want a hug?"
Eddie doesn't say yes or no. Roan peaks out through the gap again to find you kneeling at the end of the bed with your arms around his shoulders. He rubs your back, his tattoo looking darker than usual from the moisturiser.
"Where's Ro?" you ask quietly, kissing the top of his head. "Maybe she wants a hug too."
"She's being really quiet today," Eddie says, "I think she's up to something."
You kiss his head again and peel away, brushing a curl from his eyes as you say, "You always think she's up to something. Your dad sense is on the fritz."
"Probably. Hey, have you seen my big hoodie? I was thinking I'd take her out for a bit, push her on the tyre swing and burn off some mischievous energy."
"Gonna wear it over your pyjamas?" you ask.
"Duh."
"I think it's in the wardrobe. If it's not in there it's in the laundry. I'm gonna go find my girl," you say.
"I'll be right there," Eddie says.
Roan holds her breath again as he approaches. She knows she's busted but she can't help trying to hide anyways, burying her face in her knees, hands around her legs, your make up bag lost in the folded jeans beneath her. The door creaks slowly, and Eddie gasps.
"Oh, holy shit," Eddie says. "Holy sugar. Hey, babe, what the heck are you doing in there?"
"What?" you ask.
Roan lifts her head, a pout on her lips that begs for forgiveness. Eddie grins as soon as he's recovered from the shock of finding her, and you're wide-eyed from behind him.
"Well, there's my girl," you say, resting your hand on Eddie's thigh as you crouch. "Watcha doing? Who are we hiding from?"
Eddie crouches down next to you, and you both look so happy to see her that Roan figures she might not get into trouble after all. Now that she can see, she picks up the stolen make up bag and offers it back to you.
"I just wanted to try," she explains.
You and Eddie look at each other.
"Well, you shouldn't be in mom's things," Eddie begins, gently scolding as you accept the bag.
"All you have to do is ask, Ro," you finish.
"I want to look like you," Roan says.
Eddie smiles. "Come on. Get out of the wardrobe, babe, before we close you in."
You elbow him as Eddie gets his hands under Roan's arms, helping her out of the wardrobe. She doesn't need help, but her dad is super strong and has her sitting on the big bed before she can blink. You follow with your make up bag in hand, sitting down with an excitement that wobbles the mattress.
"What do you want, babe? Lip gloss?"
"And the sparkly eyes," she says. They're imperative.
"Oh, good choice," you say.
You shuffle closer to Roan and pull out the white square of eyeshadow, flipping it open. There's lots of colours inside, but the best in Roan's opinion is a white that shines baby pink in the sun. Roan tells you what she wants, and you have her close her eyes, leaning in to take her chin into your hand gently. Your breath fans over her cheek. "Keep your eyes closed, lovely girl."
Roan squeezes them closed.
"Not that closed!" you laugh.
Roan relaxes. Carefully, softly, you pat eyeshadow onto her eyelids with your fingertip, humming little affirmative sounds under your breath.
"Good girl," you murmur, blending the ends out with what feels like a different finger. "Just sit still, one more second."
More patting. Roan tries not to move around, but her excitement has her shaking. After a few more moments you lean back.
"All done, babe. You can open your eyes."
Roan opens her eyes wide, the light nearly too bright. Eddie sorts through the stuff in your make up bag, interested, bottles and brushes clinking together. "Oh, hey," he says, lifting a tube up, "this colour?"
It's the red-pink colour that Roan yearns for. She nods eagerly and you hold out your hand. You unscrew it and bring the applicator to her lips. Roan pouts, which makes you and Eddie smile in tandem. She has no idea why.
You put a little bit on the centre of her lip and spread it out with your pinky finger. Roan is totally relaxed by your lap.
"I need the shiny one too," you say.
Eddie shuffles through your things and procures a clear lip gloss. "This?"
"Yes, please."
Eddie hands it to you and you uncap it deftly.
"Rub your lips together, baby," you say, demonstrating.
Roan rubs her lips together. You brush the clear lip gloss on top of the pink and tell her to rub her lips together again, before smoothing a little bit of moisturiser over her face with kind fingers. You trace the heart of her face down to the chin and beam at her.
"You look so pretty," you say, falling into the bubbly voice you and Eddie don't use so much anymore.
Roan's chin dips inward shyly. Eddie pulls a compact from your bag and shows her the mirror part, and her chin quickly lifts. A blush rises to her cheeks as she turns her face one way and then another.
"What do you think?" Eddie asks.
Roan nods a bunch of times before she answers, not wanting to tear her gaze from the mirror. "I look beautiful," she says.
"Yes, you do! You always look beautiful," Eddie says.
"I need to put my dress on," Roan says firmly. She gives herself one last look in the mirror before sliding off of the bed and out of your reach.
She races off.
You and Eddie look at each other while she's gone, two pleased, stickying smiles. "She's so easy to please," you say.
"No, you just spend the time with her. She loves you."
You push your hand across the bed toward his thigh and lean on it, looking up at him with a teasing smile. "Want me to do yours, too?" you offer.
"Definitely. I'll hold off on the dress, for now. I don't think I have one that'll fit."
You lift your chin for a kiss. "Good idea," you say against his lips.
"I'd look good though, right?"
"You'd look amazing. You have the thighs for it."
"I do, don't I?" he asks, pleased.
You have your face on Eddie's leg when Roan comes back, his arms splayed across the length of your back, as though you've collapsed in on one another. She does a spin in her second nicest dress.
"Do I look like you, mom?" she asks.
You smile like you've won the lottery. "You look a thousand times more beautiful than me, sweetheart."
Roan laughs and does another spin. Eddie hums unhappily because you're just as beautiful, but he has to admit that his girl looks good.
"Let me grab the camera," he says.
For once, Roan doesn't grumble. She poses for pictures and makes sure she has a bunch with you, too, even though you aren't wearing anything so nice as she is.
"I'm gonna have that one printed," Eddie says after a flash.
"No you are not!" you say.
Eddie and Roan share a look. He's definitely having it printed.
thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed! please think about reblogging if you enjoyed and have the time ♡

⭑・゚゚・*:༅。.。༅:*゚:*:✼✿ ✿✼:*゚:༅。.。༅:*・゚゚・⭑
You've just hung up facetime with your friend, Jennie after even further planning on what you're wearing to the party at her boyfriends house later tonight. You've got clothes thrown all over your floor from digging & taking all items worth wearing out of their places before showing them to the camera, getting her opinion on each piece & even having her call dibs on wearing a certain something.
You sigh before you swing open your bedroom door to go downstairs to go make yourself something to eat before you begin to get ready, but you're not happy with the sight in front of you, that being your step brother, Jeongin, giving you his cheeky smile, hair drooping down his forehead.
"What the fuck are you doing standing in my doorway, weirdo, move." you groan, pushing his shoulder but not with much strength behind it, letting him chuckle.
"Where ya going? Does your dad n my mom know, hmm?" he teases, following right beside you as you begin walking down the stairs, looking at the side of your face as you scoff.
"Are you eavesdropping on my conversations? Fuck off Jeongin, I'm not going anywhere, I need to study, so do you for that fact so leave me alone n go get busy." You walk into the kitchen, the guy skipping & humming as he follows you, leaning on the counter top as he watches you pour some cereal into a bowl but before you're able to get to the fridge, he stands in front of it.
" 'studying' my ass y/n, & I have been studying so shut up. You're a really bad liar, you know that right?" he smirks as he turns around to open the fridge & give you the milk.. well, lack thereof. "I drank some earlier n haven't told mom to get more, whoopsies." He walks out of the kitchen happy as a rainbow as you groan & throw the empty milk carton on the floor, yelling at Jeongin as you hear him running up the stairs.
⭑・゚゚・*:༅。.。༅:*゚:*:✼✿ ✿✼:*゚:༅。.。༅:*・゚゚・⭑
You have your music playing quietly so your parents don't awaken as you're doing your makeup, humming along to the song as you finish applying a pretty blue/silverish shimmer shade across the inner part of your eyelids, making them stand out. You finish doing your hair & go through the few outfit options you managed to choose between the other thirty at the beginning of the day & you end up holding each of them up to your chest to get a better idea now that you are mostly ready & your mind settles on a blue denim miniskirt along with a black strappy gemstone top.
You put it on & take a few pictures that you'll probably post later before packing your 'escape bag'. You put some sweat pants over your skirt & a hoodie over your top before putting your black clutch & your alcohol wrapped in a shirt to stop the clanking noise in a backpack before you pick up your shoes, turning off your bedroom lights & extremely slowly closing your bedroom door, making sure to be as quiet as possible.
⭑・゚゚・*:༅。.。༅:*゚:*:✼✿ ✿✼:*゚:༅。.。༅:*・゚゚・⭑
You hold your breath as you begin tiptoeing down the long hallway, not being able to lightly sigh as you get past your parents silent bedroom, hearing your dad snoring inside, knowing the first part of the difficulty is over with.
You can hear Jeongins TV's low volume further down the hall & you feel a pit in your stomach growing, knowing he is still awake. You pause your steps for a minute, hearing no further movements or rustling coming from behind his door, so you progress.
You get past his door & you can't help but feel a cold sweat on the back of your neck, 'no matter how much I do this shit it never gets easier' you think to yourself. You get to the bottom of the stairs eventually & walk past all other rooms until you get to the door that leads to the basement.
You open the small cabinet next to the door & get the key before putting it in the door & turning it. You turn the door knob but it's now locked.. & your parents never leave it unlocked. Your stomach butterflies return as you use the key again, the door now being able to open.
You don't have much time to think about it however, as your light brown haired stepbrother appears from the basement. "Told you you are bad at lying, what you doing so late?" he whispers, letting out an overdramatic sigh as he grabs your wrist to snatch the key out of your hand, ushering you away from the doorframe as he slowly closes the door, not looking away from you.
"Jeongin, cmon. Just move." you whisper back, attitude in you voice as he somehow leads you into the living room, you still walking backwards. "N why would I, you lied to me, broke my huge heart." he remarks as he leans over your shoulder to try take your bag off your shoulder. You go back & forth, pulling & tugging on it before he overpowers you & now has the backpack in his hands. You are quick to try snatch it back but he pushes you onto the soft sofa behind you. "Ah,ah, ahhh, don't be stupid y/n, might wake 'em up. Why you got shoes in your hands n not wearing them, you really are odd at times."
You give up & throw the shoes onto the carpeted flooring, knowing you're probably not going anywhere tonight. He pulls out everything in your bag, holding it up to the window, letting the moonlight shine onto your alcohol in order to read it, just to tease you further since he knew what would be in your bag before even getting his hands on it.
He pulls out your clutch bag & an eyebrow raises before looking back at you again, your arms crossed as you frown up at him, the reflection of the moon showing his defined cheekbones that little bit extra. "You have this bag, inside a bag, while looking as if you've just got out of prison.. wha'cha underneath?" He questions, stepping towards you before sitting next to you.
You scoff at his words but he doesn't look away from you, noticing you have perfume on too. You both sit in silence for a second but before you have time to react, Jeongin is grabbing at your hoodie & somehow gets it over your head, the top you are wearing underneath now on show. He scoffs as he looks at you & you push him. "You're genuinely psychotic Jeongin, you caught me for fuck sake, do you really need to go this far? I'm not gonna go anywhere anymore, just give over." you whisper yell at him, irritation in your voice.
He looks into your eyes, his dimples appearing on his cheeks as he quietly chuckles. "I didn't say you couldn't go y/n." he says nonchalantly as he leans fully into the couch, turning his head to look at you. "So.. you're not gonna snitch if I go? bull.shit." you remark but your tone still raises, sounding more hopeful than you were a few minutes ago.
"Well I mean, If I got something in return, I wouldn't" he replies, sitting up again to match your posture, leaning forward a bit, which you notice, but choose to not say anything. "Seriously? What is it you're after? Money? I'll deep clean your car for you? I'll write that stupid essay you keep putting off for you? I'll give you Jennie's number?" you ramble, still making sure to keep your tone down but Jeognin 'shooshes' you anyway. "You're so loud, learn to whisper." He jokes before he shuffles over so his right leg is touching your left one now as he leans in to your ear.
"Like this, & what if I know what I want, but it's not anything you mentioned?" his breath tickles your neck as he whispers which makes you twitch subconsciously. "Just tell me Jeongin, I have places to be, do you wanna come with or something? Is that what this is? Coulda just said you have no friends to invite you out." you whisper back, getting fed up. Jeongin lets out a sigh into your ear before moving away, as you both make eye contact again, Jeongin puts his hand on the back of your head & lean you both in & he kisses you.
Your eyes shoot as wide as plates as his lips move against yours despite yours not doing the same way. You push him by the shoulders & wiggle your head free from the hand against the back of your teeth & you just stare at him, not saying much. Jeongin looks back at you, breathing a bit heavier due to the nerves. You both sit in silence for a minute, a million thoughts racing through your head but that is interrupted as Jeongin throws himself back at you, locking lips with you again.
You flop backwards on the couch as Jeongin puts more of his body weight on you, him holding himself up by putting his arm on the arm of the couch right above your head as he keeps his lips locked with yours & to his surprise & yours, you both realise your lips are moving along with his this time.
"Jeongin what the fuck, we can't be doing this this is just fucked up. Get off." you say in a more serious voice, your hands moving to cross over your chest, trying to create distance between you both despite you could just push him. "Stop acting so innocent y/n, you just kissed me back n besides we aren't blood related, we have only known each other for what, five years? Don't act as if you don't want this." he smirks as he speaks, pushing the bit of hair that is resting weirdly on your face back into its place.
"Jeongin, If you get off me now I won't tel-" You don't finish your sentence as he cuts you off by kissing you again, & you can't help but take a bit of pleasure in how soft his lips are, a light taste of his cherry lip balm transferring onto your own.
Jeongin starts to nibble on your bottom lip every few seconds as his tongue also starts to poke at where your own one is & he eventually worms his tongue inside your mouth, humming as he tastes it.
This continues for a minute or so before he breaks it off, spit coating both of your lips & your bottom lip a bit swollen & reddened from his teeth attacking it as he begins a trail of kisses down your jawline & landing on your neck, biting at it, making you hold back a whimper.
"Jeongin, plea-" "shhh y/n, just enjoy it, I'll make this wayyy better than going out, promise." he snaps back, interrupting you as he wiggles his way down further, kissing your collarbone & chest as he begins to shimmy your sweatpants down with his free hand & you have no idea why but you help him by raising your hips, letting them slide off your pretty legs.
He looks down after giving one last kiss to your collarbones after feeling a rough fabric that is no longer hidden by the joggers. "Ahh, you really did dress up hmm? Atleast the pretty outfit isn't gonna go to waste since someone's seen it now. Were you planning on fucking someone y/nnie?" he questions as his long fingers trace over your denim skirt, making you flinch & squirm.
"Jeongin what if someone catches us, you're being stupid." you respond, avoiding his question completely, your voice now soft despite your voice never being above a whisper at all. Jeongin rolls his eyes as he reaches down that little bit further & lands a quick flick to your covered core, making you jolt, eyebrows furrowing as you look back up at him. "Just be quiet n we will be fine, answer my question." he puts his hand up to your face & squishes your cheeks as he makes you look fully at him, both of you making eye contact as his other hand is now playing with the skin on the inside of your thigh, making your hips move on their own, seeking more. "No,Jeongin, I wasn't." he hums at your reply as he shuffles down so he is no face level with your lower stomach as he gives it a few kisses before undoing the button on your miniskirt before also removing hat item of clothing, Now being only left in your thong & black top despite Jeongin still wearing his grey sweatpants & white tank top.
"That's what I wanted to hear but for some reason, I don't believe it y/nnieee, nobody would dress like this & sneak out if you weren't after cock." Your cheeks are as red as cherries as he suddenly sits up on his knees long enough to take his shirt off to show his chiselled, defined, gorgeous abs which you have to try force yourself to look away to try save whatever self preservation you're trying to convince yourself you still have.
Jeongin resumes his place on your lower tummy as one hand is now playing with the hem of your sparkly top as his other hand begins to play with your covered cunt, which unsurprisingly has a small wet patch which is now transferring onto his fingers, despite you trying your hardest to not be turned on from the current situation. "Someone's enjoying this more than they're letting on, No need to be completely mute jagi, just remember who's upstairs." he says, more to himself than anything but you huff at his words anyway, embarrassment radiating through your body, partially from his words, & partially from how turned on you actually are.
He continues lightly dragging his long fingers along your folds, causing your panties to be dampened even more as his other hands fingers dig their way under your shirts fabric & grabs onto your nipple which makes you arch your back on instinct. He begins to lightly pull on your nipple, flicking it with his thumb as he continues kissing your lower stomach, his soft hair tickling it.
His kisses get lower & lower until his lips hit the hem of your panties & you don't put up a fight as he now discards that too. He moves his hand from your left nipple as he wraps his arms around your legs as he is now face level with your dripping core. "Be good n keep your legs open for me, mkay? Stay quiet f'me." He says in a low tone, voice sounding flushed out despite it being you being touched, not him. You have no words that even come to mind to create a response, you just sigh as you cross your arms over your eyes, trying to not focus on your step brothers breath hitting your naked heat.
Jeongin takes this as enough of an answer & licks a long, slow strip up your entire core, which in return makes you hiss at the contact. He wastes no time in digging into your cunt like a man starved as he uses two fingers to spread your folds as he begins slurping on it before switching & nibbling on your swollen button, making you bite down on your lip painfully to hold back as much noise as possible.
He snakes his arm up your frame until he taps two fingers against your lips & you immediately open your lips, letting his fingers now rest on your tongue as you begin sucking on them, using them to help swallow your moans. The room has slurping & hisses filling the room, a mix of your own juice & also his own spit dripping down past your cunt & his chin onto the couch below.
He pulls his fingers out of your mouth, much to your dismay as but that is short lived as he worms his now spit covered fingers into your pussy & begins scissoring them & he lets out a quiet groan as he has now gotten a feeling of your wet walls as you instantly clench down on his long fingers which you're convinced are grazing your cervix. He wriggles his fingers around slightly until he finds your G-spot before attacking it with them & you begin squirming around as much as you can with heavy breaths despite his arms still being wrapped around your legs, preventing you from moving freely.
He keeps suckling & slurping on your clit as he is finger fucking you & you begin clenching down a lot more than you were a minute ago. "Jeo- g'na cum- plea-" Your words die in your throat as he struggles but manages to pull himself completely away from your cunt, watching you with a smirk as your eyes are watery, stress & agitation on your face from feeling your orgasm drifting away from your lower stomach as your own juice drips down his chin, giving it a shine that you can make out now that your eyes have adjusted to the dark.
"You really think I'd let you cum on my fingers when I don't know how much you can take, hunny? You can cum on my dick this time, just till I see how well you can take me." He gives you a kiss on your thighs before now using this chance to take his sweatpants & also boxers, leaving him now completely nude as his words sink in & you can't help but think & hope this happens again..?
He helps flip you around before bending you over the arm of the couch, your pretty ass on show for him. He spreads your legs enough so he can fit between them before letting spit drip from his lips, landing directly on his cock as he pumps it in his hand. You turn your head to at least get a look of what exactly you are getting yourself into & you almost regret that choice because you genuinely have no idea how the fuck you're going to be able to handle it. His cock is longer than it is thick but it curves upwards which you now both know will be your G-spots best friend within the following minutes.
Jeongin realises your reaction & can't help but chuckle. "You scared you won't be able to take it y/n? where's that cocky, bitchy personality now disappeared to hmm?" he questions, cockiness in his voice as he begins running his leaky cock head along your folds, making him hold back a groan. "Just, ugh, just put it in Jeongin, Don't be a dick." you try to say with venom, but just ends up sounding needy, which Jeongin laughs at. "Say please & I'll happily give you it." he replies, leaning forward to kiss your shoulder, eyes looking at the side of your flushed out face.
You take a deep breath but don't budge & Jeongin isn't happy with that so he sits back up on his knees as he wraps his long hand into your hair before pulling your hair so now you're looking at him upside down, your back arching. "Say. Please." he repeats, voice sounding way more serious the second time around. Your eyes water from the burn on your scalp but you can't deny how needy you actually are & before you can think for a moment, you're throwing your ego out of the window. "Jeongin, p-please just put it in, want it., want your cock." you murmur, trying to be aware of where you both currently are.. completely naked. He is happy with this & lets go of your hair, making you flop forwards as he lines himself fully up with you, before finally sliding inside.
Your legs almost give out from just the pleasure of him filling you out alone but you somehow keep yourself up. You both let out a whine, his being louder since he hasn't got the edge of the couch to smother his face in to shut himself up. He oh so kindly lets you adjust for around thirty seconds, you both sitting in silence other than the heavy breaths & the sound of the living room clock ticking away in the backround.
"So tight, holy shit y/n. Gonna move now, alright.?" He asks but doesn't actually give you any time to respond before he is withdrawing his hips before returning to where they just were, then repeating it.
He picks up his pace, his hips connecting with your ass as his hands find their place on your hips, helping you now meet his thrusts. You are muffling your whines & squeals by biting down onto the fabric of the couch, your eyes rolling to the back of your head as your gummy walls are being ruined by the fluffy haired man behind you.
You find the strength to lift your head up off the couch to mutter out a few incoherent words Jeongins fucked out brain can't completely understand, He keeps chasing his own release, throwing his head towards the ceiling & panting until he feels you clenching so tight he thinks his cock can turn purple.
"Gonna cum for m-me y/n? Squeezing me so tight, g-gonna kill me. You're s-so fucking wet." Your moans encourages him to pick up the pace even more than he already is, his great stamina being something he is thankful for in this moment. He admires the squelching noises coming from your cunt & he thinks he can honestly melt from pleasure. "Jeon-in f-fuck, t-too-so big." you whine, trying to keep as quiet as possible but can't help the noises you're letting out, his cock pushing your cervix into a completely new place inside you.
"Yeah? Taking it so well for m-me, so beau-hot." He cuts himself off, trying to not say such nice words, since that is the imaginary line he is trying to draw for himself, despite not wanting to.
Your legs begin to shake again & you try to warn Jeongin you're about to cum, but it's no use since you're so fucked out you're convinced your brain has completely melted. You feel it bubble up & then over as your orgasm sprays out of your pussy & lands onto your own thighs, Jeongins cock, trimmed pubes & also the couch beneath you.
Jeongin watches this & he tries to hold out until you at least start to come off your orgasm so it isn't completely ruined before he pulls out as his own orgasm is only a second away & pumps his cock at an extreme pace before his own orgasm shoots out of him, landing onto your ass & back, a few drops landing on the one item of clothing that somehow didn't come off.
Your legs have already given out & you are now just awkwardly arched on the edge of the sofa, trying to catch your breath back. Jeongin pants & pushes his now wet with sweat hair out of his pretty face before he stands up on his own shaky legs & puts his hands on your legs gently before pulling you, so you're now laying fully flat on your back.
You both don't exchange words but Jeongin takes it upon himself to grab his tank top to wipe his orgasm off of you, which you appreciate deep down. "I'll get you some water, I would say sit tight but you can't move anyways dick's too good huh." he teases as he is still panting, kissing leaning down to kiss your lower back. You just 'tut' at his words.
He returns with three glasses, you can see one has a dark liquid in it & you think the other two are water. "Why the third glass, the hell is that.?" you mumble, only now actually returning fully to earth. "Well you squirted all over the damn couch in case you didn't realise & it's one in the morning, I can't be fucked to clean that n I know you can't, just gonna pour cola on the spot since our parents drank vodka coke earlier, they'll probably just believe it." He pants out before chugging his own cup of water then remembering to give you your own drink. You let out a giggle as you force yourself to sit up enough so you can drink the water that you didn't realise how much you actually needed a drink until you take a sip then you suddenly have the driest mouth on earth.
He helps you gather your clothes (after letting you whisper yell at him for getting cum on your shirt) & he helps you tiptoe up stairs along with him. "We never speak of this again Jeongin, I swear to god." you whisper outside his bedroom door, his TV still playing from earlier. "mhmm, If you say so, sleep well." he snarkily replies before closing his own bedroom door, before taking his phone off his desk & going onto the message app.
⭑・゚゚・*:༅。.。༅:*゚:*:✼✿ ✿✼:*゚:༅。.。༅:*・゚゚・⭑
Jeongin: It actually worked lmaoo
Jennie: Told ya, u just needed to test her limits lol
Jeongin: ahaha, was worth the risk, thx jen
⭑・゚゚・*:༅。.。༅:*゚:*:✼✿ ✿✼:*゚:༅。.。༅:*・゚゚・⭑
Jeongin can't help but blush slightly as he shuts his phone off & just looks around his clean bedroom, realising what he did & how easy it was, which he is definitely keeping in mind.

(one day I’m) gonna cut it clear
have this sad stuff I wrote last night to try and cheer myself up :)
(Sorry for any mistakes this was copied and pasted from photos of notebook proper :/)
TW: mentions of past trauma and paternal abuse
Tumblr media
The first time that Eddie had cut his hair short, he had been eight and messing around with his mom's fancy brass scissors—the ones where the blades were a beak She used him to cut string from her quilts, and to trim his uncle’s hair when the man wasn't out in his boat. Eddie had used them to chop his hair off, watching The long brown curls fall onto the rug that his dad had bought as a wedding present for his mom.
It was rough and scratchy. Probably cheap, too.
He sat there on his knees, one hand curled around the scissors, the other feeling through his choppy strands, staring down at the loose hair on the floor.
His dad had hit him for that, grabbing him by the arms and shoving him into his room with a sharp “the hell were you thinking, girl?” before he had locked the door.
Eddie had cried all afternoon, begging to no one, because he was sorry and he didn’t want his hair short anymore. Because he had cut it to stop people from calling it pretty but he knew they still would. Because he didn’t want to be trapped in the suffocating Georgia summer heat that was seeping in through the windows anymore.
When his mom had come home from Auntie Lacy's house—not his real aunt, but she got sad if Eddie didn't call her that, seeing as how she was close enough to family as is—he still remembered how broken she had sounded, finding Eddie laying on the wood floor in just his underwear, tucked away in a corner, panting.
She had drawn him a cold bath, hushing him softly when he complained about the cool water.
“My baby,” She had whispered, her accent seeping through her words. It wasn't like the southern one that she put on for his dad—some kind of Eastern European that he couldn't remember. She never talked about where she came from
"Your hair was so pretty.”
Eddie had turned to press his face into his mom’s palm, whimpering, “Don’t want it short anymore. M’sorry, mama, m’sorry.”
She had fixed his hair after that—made it look more even and neat. She had let him curl up in her lap afterwards, the bird scissors on the coffee table and the chopped strands gone from the rug. Her thin fingers pet through his hair—but there really wasn’t anything to pet through anymore, just gentle touches smoothed over his scalp, kisses pressed to the lop of his head where he could nearly feel her lips.
"It will grow back, iubirea mea," She assured him, rocking him in her arms as his fingers dug into the folds of her white dress. She smelled like cinnamon and sunscreen, and that incense that Auntie Lacy always burned. "It will grow back, Edith.”
"Eddie," He had whispered, his words unsure and choked as he closed his eyes and waited for her to hit him—to lock him back in his room with his bolted windows and stiff mattress.
But she just kissed his hair again, taking nis hand and rubbing her thumb over his knuckles.
"Eddie," she agreed, holding him tighter when he sobbed and nodded, her fingers soft and warm against his. “My sweet Eddie. My baby."
The second time his hair was cut he was thirteen. He had cried the whole way to the shop, gripping at the hair that fell just past his shoulders, like if he held on tight enough, it wouldn't have to go away.
“Stop crying,” his dad had snapped, his hands tight on the wheel of his Chevy truck. "If you wanna be a boy so bad, then fuckin’ act like one. Gonna look like one soon, too.”
He pulled Eddie out of the car. “This’ll show you. I ain’t raise my girl to be no fuckin’ queer,” he spat. “That was all that bitch’s doin’, ain’t it? Good thing she’s gone.”
“Don’t talk about mom like that,” Eddie sobbed, barely forcing the words out before he had stumbled backwards, face stinging and red from where his dad had hit him.
“She ain’t your mama no more. Ain’t that right, girl? Now fuckin’ get in there and tell the lady you want it all gone, or I ain’t letting you out of your room for a week,” his dad threaten, grabbing the collar of Eddie’s shirt. “A fucking week, you hear?”
That was the day that Eddie had left with Wayne for Indiana. His dad—no, Al, he wasn’t Eddie’s fucking dad anymore—hadn’t cared that Eddie had left. He had probably told all of his drinking buddies that “the other bitch is finally dead,” just so no one who might miss him in the town would go looking and bring him back. It would have only been Auntie Lacy. He still missed her sometimes.
Wayne hadn’t minded that Eddie didn’t want to wear the dresses or the skirts that he had packed from Georgia—took to buying him jeans when he had the money for something extra.
He had saved up for two years, working extra shifts and on holidays, so that when Eddie turned sixteen he could take him to the doctors and get him the stuff that made his voice drop. Eddie didn’t remember what it was called—hadn’t been able to hear the doctor over the ringing in his years from how hard his jaw was clenched as he tried not to cry in front of her and Wayne.
“Gonna get you fixed,” Wayne had said on the ride back to the trailer, and Eddie had laughed, but it sounded more like a sob.
“M’not a dog, Wayne.”
He had let Wayne do the shots, since anytime he tried to do it himself, his hands would snake too much.
“Haven't even done it yet, boy," Wayne muttered, his face annoyed, but his tone soft and sympathetic. "Just breathe."
Eddie did, but he had still flinched away again, just one more time.
The third time it was cut would be soon, if Eddie could just force himself to fucking man up and do it. He had just driven back from the antique shop down the road, bought those scissors he had seen nestled in between the old watercolor tins full of white chalk sticks and the black and white photos of men in long coats and hats—women with their hair up in a portrait studio, loggers standing on the planks stuck into trees as they worked, children sat on stools and chairs with dead-eyes.
They were bird scissors, brassy-brown and shining, still sharp. Like his mom used to have.
He looked out at the trailers he drove past. Two mail boxes until home. His stuff was in the back of his van, all the important stuff anyway, packed away into three boxes. Three.
And then he was home, into the house and then to the bathroom. He wanted to scream. He wanted to cry. And maybe he was crying. He was so fucking sick of crying.
His arms ached as he stretched the scars to reach up and grab a strand of hair, cutting. It was only an inch or two off the bottom, on a piece that he could easily tuck away and hide, but he still broke down—dropping the scissors and sobbing into his hands as he sank to the bathroom tiles on the floor.
He didn't want to cut his hair, but he had to. And he didn't know why he had to, which made him cry harder—hysterical sobs and gasps that no one but the nearly-empty shampoo bottles strewn sideways on the drain on the shower floor could hear.
He sounded like he was dying.
Maybe he was.
He Knew what it felt like to die — to have the skin ripped away from his insides, his body bloody and aching.
This hurt worse
It hurt worse than the hell he had been through.
It hurt worse than hearing Steve cry and break over him in the hospital, when his body was too sore to move—to cradle him gently like his mom used to do, brush a hand over his hair and whisper gentle names in a language that he didn’t know—a quiet "just breathe, my baby. Lucrul meu dulce. You can be sad, but don't let it choke you. You can cry, but don't let it make you forget how to live. How to breathe. How to smile."
Eddie pulled himself up, dragging himself out of the bathroom and over to the phone on the wall in the kitchen.
He spun the rotary, hearing it whir and click after each number. A number he had whispered to himself night after night until he was sure he wouldn't forget it. But now his brain was fogged as his breath caught on a whimper, and he couldn't remember if it ended in a six or a nine.
Six. He spun to a six and watched it move back, the phone gripped in both hands as it rang.
“Hello?” And Eddie sobbed again at the sound of Steve's voice.
"Hey," he choked out, willing his voice to be level and his breathing to be calm, but to no avail.
‘Baby," Steve breathed, and god, Eddie didn't think it was ever possible for him to grow tired of hearing Steve call him that. "What's wrong? Are you hurt?"
Eddie shook his head as an instinct, his eyes squeezed shut and his jaw set, strained words coming out as he spoke again. "Need you to come over. Want to cut my hair.”
"Your hair?" Steve parroted back, his voice unbelievably soft, so soft that it made Eddie's chest ache a bit inside.
"Yeah."
Steve didn't ask why, even though he knew that Eddie's hair was important to him. He did offer to do it for Eddie—being the one out of the two of them who was more knowledgeable on the subject—but Eddie declined, saying that he needed to be the one to do it himself.
“I just need you to be here when I do it," Eddie whispered. He would have asked Wayne to sit with him, but Wayne was at work, and Eddie wasn't supposed to bother him unless it was an emergency.
He knew that Wayne would have come straight home if he had called to ask, though.
“I’ll leave now, alright?" Steve whispered. “Ten minutes, You go rest, get yourself a drink. Whatever you need to do baby, then I'll be there. Promise.”
“Okay" Eddie whispered, and even though Eddie wanted a reason to procrastinate this further, he hung up the phone, listening to the dial-tone sound off for a few minutes before shuffling over to the living room and pressing his face into a scratchy pillow.
He tried to calm his breathing while he waited for Steve.

I hate myself for thinking this but, what if MC finds out she’s pregnant and the first thing in her mind is that she’s fucking up Cove’s future. So instead of telling him she just breaks up with him and shuts herself away from him so he can’t convince her that they’ll work it out. Now Cove has no clue why the love of his life just broke his poor heart. Skip to five years later, Cove comes back to surprise visit his dad but surprise there’s MC, Cliff and a little five year old boy that looks way too much like Cove. Like I’m talking copy and paste that’s a little Cove
oh my fucking god.... i. pls i have some thoughts but also OUCH. BIG OUCH
mmm i'm not gonna make a full fic/detailed post... maybe later if we're all itching for some angst or i'm up for causing more heart ache n then i am very much open to expanding on this (already thinking abt cove getting to know his son.... omfg my heart HURTS)
but i wonder how MC "gets away" (for lack 'a better words) with not telling cove about the kid.
because i can tell you right now, cliff and kyra can't know about it and keep it a secret. not for 5 years at least.
so does she beg everyone in her family to keep it a secret? i think that's the best bet. moms would really prefer Not to keep it a secret, but they also can't force you to tell cove...
but i also don't see them letting 5 years without cove at least knowing, go by either... they'd try to keep the secret, but seeing cove's sad face would break them quickly, if not instantly.
also your friends!!! god, they can not keep a secrete to save their life, especially that big. so you can tell them, but expect the news to find its way back to cove in about.. mmm... 4 hours? so yeah....
anyway!!! lets say that your family kept the secret...
i think your son would eventually start asking about his dad. he sees how you and your family react to him, hears all the mumbling about how he looks so much like... "cove"? when you think he's in the other room.
and he sees how sometimes you look sad and how you slowly and tenderly run your fingers through his hair. and how sometimes you tell him "yknow, daddy has hair just like yours."
and when he asks why you're sad, if you respond with something along the lines of "you look just like your dad, thats all."
or even if you say that in response when he asks what his dad looks like (if you haven't shown him pictures), or if he overhears you saying he looks like this "cove" guy
you notice he starts looking at himself more often... maybe even asking, "does daddy have green hair like mine?" "are his eyes really blue, just like mine?" "does he wear glasses too?" and still in awe that he and this man he's never met, but already seems to adore him (as much as a toddler can adore someone they don't know), share the same features.
and if you show him pictures of cove, which i hope you do, but if you don't, don't worry because your son will probably realize "he has green hair like me!!!!" and he'd either run up to enthuse about it or run up to ask him if he's his daddy bc they have the same hair color... or just call him daddy n if anyone tries to argue about it, wdym?! they have the same hair color, what more do you need?!
so hopefully, cove is the only man with specifically seafoam green hair. otherwise, you're shitting yourself every time your son runs off to meet his green-haired-brethern
anyway. I think all your sons questions, and seeing pictures, knowing that he shares so many traits with cove, and seeing you miss him.
oh god, seeing you sad would make him insist so so much on seeing cove.
"if we meet daddy, will you be happy again?"
also can't believe I almost forgot.. your son being sad about not having a dad, and being jealous of other kids for spending time with their dad, etc.
he'd ask you questions about why he doesn't have a dad, n if he does. why isn't he around? and a real heartbreaker.. does daddy hate him? does he not love him? is that why he isn't here?
so I guess that means it's time to go back to sunset bird! and finally explain why you moved away n never looked back, and why you don't talk to anyone but your parents from back then...
now I won't get into everything right now (im a fuckin liar. I can feel a tangent coming on)
but I wanna talk abt how cove would feel, just a bit, and how I think your future with him would look...
I think at first, he'd be really shocked, seeing this carbon copy of his much younger self. the only thing telling him that his 4-5 year old self didn't jump out of one of his many childhood pictures,
is any birthmarks or beauty marks that maybe you have, or the boys hair being curlier than his, or his skin tone, or maybe he has your nose. whatever it is, he knows he's looking at the imperfect combination of you and him.
(cove's heart is beating outta his chest right now, n you're lucky he only stumbles instead of fainting, because this really is a shock... but that deeper part inside of him, that egotistical, primal almost, part of his heart swells up at the thought, the reality. that his son looks mostly, if not entirely like him.)
but after shock, he's sad. I think he'd be really sad, because he realizes that this is why you broke up right? and no matter how in control of your emotions you think you may be, your wide eyes show how afraid, nervous, and sad you are. he knows. he knows without even talking to you and it hurts
and after he gets past the anger and confusion stage, maybe even in between in fact- which would be more natural since, I think he'd feel this all at once but that's besides the point
he'd be really sad he missed all his sons milestones. walking, first words... God he probably dreams about it (when he does eventually fall asleep), and now his heart is tugging at the seams and the seams are RIPPING.
he also starts thinking about how hard it must've been doing it by yourself. and going through all that without him, your partner.
but maybe you didn't rely on him like he relied on you? maybe you didn't trust him like he did you, maybe you just... didn't need him. like he needed you.
you did break up afterall, and you never let him know about the kid until now, so maybe you thought he'd be a failure of a father and nipped it in the bud before disaster struck...
but I also think that's where anger comes in. because you didn't tell him. he didn't have a choice at all.
he knows he had a tendency to hesitate or run away, but he thinks really hard about it, and he knows he wouldn't have ran away from this.
leaving you alone would scare him a lot more than being a father. being a bad or absent father would scare him a lot more than trying to be a good one. knowingly abandoning a life he helped create, would scare him so much more. he wouldn't be able to sleep otherwise.
so while he gets it. he doesn't get why you didn't try.
and if you explain that you worried about ruining his future, he's so upset and so mad because how could you make that choice for him? how could you take on the burden alone?
this is also where confusion merges in, because while the answers are so obvious or easy to guess, he just can't believe it. he doesn't wanna believe it...
now about your future...
cove still loves you. he's loved you his whole life, it's hard to stop even 5 years later... and seeing you, it makes his heart throb because he's dreamed about this for many nights.
you broke up with him without giving any answers. you even up and moved by the end of the week so when he tried to give you space, before talking to you, it was too late. your room was pretty much void of every sign of life.
you took all your treasured items, your clothes- spare some youd been meaning to get rid of, your pictures, your hobby items. everything. he's surprised you didn't just take the bed and frame.
he's surprised you didn't just carve out his heart n take it with you, because if it's still in his chest, why does it feel so hollow?...
it'd take a really long time to even think of a romantic relationship. if at all. maybe cove's even accepted the break up at some point, depending on how long you'd been together. but if you'd been together since you were 13, it's a hard pill to swallow. bc you can put up with his angsty teenage self, what changed...?
I think seeing you be a parent, and so adored by your son, warms up his heart. makes him fall in love a bit at the sight.
it's not instant, he's getting to know you again. and getting to know this life that he didn't even know was waiting for him.
it's a good 2 or 3 years of figuring out this mess until it becomes something that makes sense. or as much sense as it can make. and if there's still something there, no matter how miniscule. it will catch fire.
now about the kiddo... he's so scared. and I hope you took a few days of talking with cove, and prbly cliff n Kyra bc they have a lotta feelings n thoughts on this too, before you try to integrate cove into his life.
it's small. cove meeting you at the park, and either your son is asking cove a billion questions (both abt why the sky is blue, and awkward questions abt why he wasn't present before...)
or he's trying to drag him on the monkey bars (doesn't work, cove's feet are on the ground still....)
or he's sitting silently on the blanket, reading, occasionally showing cove his favorite scene of the picture book or making him pronounce a word
but it does get bigger, it becomes lunch-n-movie dates, spending the night at your house (at your son's insistence. prbly bc he didn't want him to leave after a fun day), then cove taking him out alone..
it's a lot. and sometimes it feels like you're going backwards or that you're not moving at all because it's hard, for awhile. and even though his dad is on speed dial, there's not enough information he can give cove in how to take care of and deal with a kid he just met a few months ago.
especially a kid who already has a bit of personality, is hell on wheels (like most 5 year olds), possibly has many questions n sometimes problems with cove suddenly being here... it's a lot. n cliff can't help with any of it really.
he does get comfortable, eventually. although there's still times when he's sad, sometimes even angry about what happened, and all he's missed out on, he's so so happy to not miss out on anything else.

Bakugo Angst part 3:
Time skip- HAPPY ending! <3
It's been a couple years since you last saw Bakugo, your baby now five years old, and he looked so much like his dad. From the hair to his eyes, your son was an exact copy. Some days you found yourself wondering what it would be like if you had told Bakugo.
Your daydreams were always happy ones; you and Bakugo out on a sunny day at the beach building sun castles together with your son, or you watching from the kitchen as Bakugo played hide-and-seek with his mini twin. You always found yourself making up sweet scenarios that only made you feel lonely afterwards.
Luckily enough, though, your knight in shining armor always showed up right on time to rid you of your depressive thoughts. Standing right in front of you with a big smile on his face was Haru. Your son, while he looked like an exact copy of Bakugo, his personality was the complete opposite. Haru was a bright and happy boy who loved his hero action figures more than anything and his mom, of course-
"Mama? You snapped back into reality, your eyes meeting Haru's, scooping him up in a big hug.
"My sweet baby boy."
After leaving, you moved three towns over in hopes of putting enough distance between you and Bakugo, moving into a tiny apartment that looked nothing like your old one. You took Haru to the park that morning to get some fresh air and were watching him play at the playground across from the bench you were sitting on. Hugging Haru made that lonely feeling disappear in a second, the adorable blonde boy laughing in your arms as he returned the hug.
"Shall we get going? It's time we get some lunch, my little hero." You gave Haru a quick kiss on his cheek that made him giggle and stood up from the bench; holding Haru in your arms, you began your journey out of the park. It was a short walk back to your apartment, only needing to walk about five minutes before getting home. At some point, you stopped before a road waiting to cross to the other side of the street with a crowd of people doing the same. It was Saturday, so there were many people around you and some waiting on the other side of the street that you were headed to.
In your arms, Haru was playing with an All Might doll you gave him for his birthday last year. Heros were Haru's favorite thing, his favorite currently being All Might. The crowd around you started to grow so you tightened your arms around your son as a precaution, "Hold on tight baby, we're about to go."
Finally, the crowd was given the go for the crosswalk and began to move; you followed the crowd across the road, following the pace of those around you like you always have since moving. After reaching the other side you were about to continue the walk home until Haru cried out, wailing and pointing behind you. "No! Mama, go back! I dropped him!"
Turning around and shifting a crying Haru in your arms, you noticed the doll was no longer in his hands. Looking back onto the road, you searched the ground for any sign of it, but cars were already zooming past, blocking you from seeing whether or not the doll didn't get run over. "Oh honey, I'm sorry, I'll just get you a new one I promise." You felt defeated, it was such a small object, but Haru had grown so attached to it you couldn't help but feel bad when he continued to cry. Rocking him in your arms a bit you decided to wait it out, to wait for the cars to stop and for the crowd of people to move again to see if you could catch a glimpse of the doll on the ground. Except your eyes found something else or rather someone else-
He stood on the other side of the row at the front of the crowd, just beginning to cross to your side of the road to where you stood. To you, it felt like everything was going in slow motion. He looked older now, more grown and mature-looking; he was taller, too, coming up to you with the softest smile you've ever seen. His appearance froze you in place; he looked the same yet so different.
"He dropped this back there, don't worry it's not too dirty." Bakugo's grown voice sent shivers down your spine. With how close he was standing to you, you could feel the warmth radiating off of his body.
In his hand was the All Might doll Haru dropped, and Haru immediately burst into a fit of giggles clutching the doll to his chest. "Thanks, mister! Thank you so...daddy?" Of course, you weren't a monster who kept secrets from Haru, especially those about his father. But Haru had only ever seen Bakugo in old photos you kept; it was surprising that he had managed to recognize him now.
Bakugo's eyes got watery, and it caught you off guard. "He knows about me?"
You nodded. While you still felt sad and guilty about leaving, Bakugo had never done any wrong towards Haru, so it made no sense to pretend that he didn't exist. "Of course he does...you're his dad."
Bakugo glowed at your words, his smile growing.
"I'm his dad." He whispered to himself.
Not wanting to be occupying the sidewalk for too long, you invited him over to your new apartment, the walk being a pleasant one where you and Bakugo found yourselves catching up. It no longer felt awkward to talk to him; everything from his mannerisms to his speech and tone made you feel safe, happy even. You felt proud in a sense, feeling proud of him and feeling better about leaving. Maybe being apart from each other was the one thing that would allow you both to grow as people.
Inside your apartment, you led him to the living room, leaving him with an energetic Haru so you could go to the kitchen. The living room walls were filled with photos of you and Haru, drawings Haru made in class, and silly little notes clearly written in your son's writing. Bakugo took it all in, admiring every photo and every drawing, happy that there was no fighting but sad he missed out on his son's important milestones.
From the kitchen, you could see Haru showing off everything to his dad and explaining every drawing, to which Bakugo happily responded in praise. God, how it warmed you up inside seeing the one thing you have been dreaming of for so long.
A happy family. A reunited, happy family.
Bakugo came into the kitchen laughing, grabbing the cup of coffee you held out to him. "He's amazing, y/n; he's perfect." His words touched your heart. The both of you stood there for a bit, quietly sipping at your drinks while you both watched Haru playing with his toys on the floor of the living room. After a while, you set your drink down and turned to Bakugo with a shaky sigh.
"I'm sorry." You blurted out, catching his attention right away. He stood quietly as you went on. "I'm sorry, Katsuki, I n-needed to leave, and I knew leaving like that and just leaving a note was a bad idea, but I had to. God, I'm so sorry; I know it was stupid-"
Suddenly Bakugo's arms were wrapped around you in a tight hug, comforting you as he gave you light pats on the back. The gentleness of his touch was enough to make you tear up. "It's okay. We needed it, the time apart." He loosed his hold and even gave you a light kiss on your forehead, one that you couldn't help but laugh at. "You're different," you said quietly.
He nodded with a sad sigh, looking defeated as he gently brushed your hair back away from your cheeks. "I changed for you and for Haru y/n. I got the help I needed to make myself better for myself and our family. We both needed the time, so please don't be hard on yourself about it."
You bit your lip to stop the flow of tears that threatened to fall and nodded, pushing yourself back into his warm arms.
"Mama! Daddy!" Haru came running from the living room into the kitchen, tugging at your pants and begging to join the hug. Bakugo scooped him up and drowned him in kisses that made your son laugh out loud; you did the same, tickling and kissing your precious son. "Daddy, are you staying?" Haru asked with eager eyes, looking back in forth from Bakugo to you.
A smile grew on your lips as you looked at Bakugo's nervous smile. "He's here to stay, my little hero." Both Bakugo and Haru exploded in cheers, Bakugo wrapping his other arm around your waist to hug you again.
----------
A couple months later:
After reuniting with Bakugo and getting back together, he bought a house close to the beach. It was the same beach where Haru now spent his birthdays and the same beach where Bakugo proposed to you one day while watching the sunset together. Of course, you accepted his proposal in tears and found yourself walking down the aisle in a beautiful winter with all of your friends and family; and with Haru proudly being the ring bearer.
It was hard holding back your tears after the vows; it was even harder when Bakugo whispered the sweetest "I love you" before planting the deepest kiss on your lips, dramatically dipping his new wife, and popping back in with a loud cheer. Haru cheering just as loud as his dad.
It really was the happiest moment of your life; marrying Bakugo, growing up with him, and raising Haru with him.
The best husband. The best dad.

꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
(Y/n) - Six years old
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
"Hey! Why are you sitting there all alone?"
The movement of your legs stalled on the swing as you peered up through your hair. You hadn't expected two boys to appear in front of you like a flash of lightning.
One of them had leaned down while tilting his head of light bubblegum pink hair. It was long, pulled into a high ponytail with bangs that split in the middle over his pale forehead. He observed your small stature sitting on the swing with otherworldy optics like he held the ocean in his iris.
His eyes were doe-like and hooded, gracing him with a curious, youthful face that probably won over the hearts of young and old women. Lastly, before you diverted your attention away, you observed the golden halo hovering above his head.
The one beside him was a lot shorter and appeared apathetic as if he were annoyed to be here at the park. He had rather dark, woolly blond hair with nice curls that were longer by the back of his head. Even as he kept his small body at an angle, looking off into the distance, you were still able to see the vibrant scarlet colors in his iris'.
Small angled eyes with long dark lashes could have had him mistaken for female if it were not for his facial features or body. Interestingly enough, unlike his counterpart, a pair of crystal-like horns sprouted from the top of his head.
They were small, too, like little baby horns of a goat. It would be blind of you not to mention their set of wings, one a soft fluff of white feathers hidden beneath a long-sleeved shirt. The other, dark, leather in texture and featherless, curled inwards behind his back.
"Mom and Dad were arguing again." You murmur while dropping your small hands that held onto the chain on top of your lap.
The angel boy raised his brow as his small lips formed into an o-shape. "Ah! You're the new girl that just moved in next to mine!" He stuck out his hand and offered it as he grinned boyishly. "I'm Javan, and this is my bestfriend Zagan. He also lives just down the street."
You stared at his rather thin fingers for a moment before reaching for it with a bleak expression. Yet once your skin touched him, your entire stomach became a ball of heated lava, and the cynical emotions running rampant in your young mind became non-existent.
The dark thoughts omitted from your mentality...it all became so clear.
"What's your name?" Javan questioned as he held your hand firmly while that bright grin remained on his face.
You had to swallow thickly before you could answer. "(Y/n)...I'm (Y/n)."
"Nice to meet you!" He beamed before looking over at the demon boy. "Why don't we include (Y/n) into the group!? You know we kids need to stick together!"
Zagan glanced at you for a moment before sighing and crossing his arms over this sweater. He didn't speak; probably didn't want another person to come into their already-established friendship and steal his best friend.
It was understandable.
"Oh, Zagan agrees! Then help me push her!" Before you could reply, Javan and Zagan appeared behind you and began pushing your back on the swing.
It didn't take long for you to start moving. Creaking reverberated around the park as the setting sun painted the sky with molten gold.
The wind rushing past your ear felt exhilarating, your heart skipping a beat as the sensation of your stomach dropping provoked tingling sensations to surge through your body.
You had never gotten so high, so high that you can touch the clouds. It felt like you could finally do it... as if you could finally flutter away on a pair of wings.
Weightless, feather-like, you could fly away anywhere but here.
One of your arms stuck out to the dimming sky. You wanted to grasp that warmness and hold it close to your heart, never to let it go ever again.
And for a moment, it felt like you were doing it. Until the air swooshed past your ear, and your body was descending swiftly.
"(Y/n)!"
The darkness of night took over as the lamps flashed with murky color.
And the chill ate you alive until you were swathed in that same lava-like heat from before. Your eyes drifted from the sky to Javan's face, who held you firmly.
His wings had torn from his clothes to beat in the air as he slowly descended until he kneeled and sat you down on the tire chips.
"Are you okay?" He questioned you, face full of worry, ocean blue eyes filled with dread.
The words felt caught in your throat.
A burning sensation sprouted in your chest, and it took everything in you not to cry. But when Zagan ambled over to kneel on the other side of your figure and lightly touched your shoulder, you felt overwhelmed.
So you cried and bawled and wailed so hard that you were choking on air. Your face burned, the heat on your cheeks and ears hot like the burner on the stove.
Wet tears fell as though they were never-ending, wetting your face and drenching your top. An ache so tense and strained gripped at your heart, squeezing to where you felt lightheaded.
Zagan and Javan hadn't said a word as they kneeled by your side and let you cry your heart out.
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
(Y/n) - Ten years old
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
A tap resonated from your window as you hid beneath your comforter, reading the superhero comic book with a rather bulky flashlight.
You had ignored it, mouthing the words on printed paper to yourself to practice your pronunciation. Turning the page, your lips parted to speak, and yet another tap at your window startled your movement.
For a moment, you sat in silence, hearing it again before thrusting the blanket overhead. It was hot and stuffy under the covering that once you were out, the chilly breeze of the central air rose goosebumps over your skin.
You nearly tripped, scooting off your bed and running over to your window. Kneeling over the cushioned bench, you forced it open to stick your head out.
Zagan and Javan hovered in the air of your second-story house with their wings. They've grown a lot since you first met them; well, the pink-haired one grew the most.
He grew taller, his limbs longer, and his hair, tied in a high ponytail, reached the small of his back. His halo now pulsated brightly with the pure white aileron's lengthier, far longer than the length of a car.
Zagan, on the other hand, remained the shortest, shorter than you. He still had a lot of baby fat on his cheeks that were framed by his golden curls that grew longer, reaching his shoulders. Though, if something had grown, it had to have been his leathery bat-like wings that extended to such a length that you were surprised it was not getting stuck in the tree branches.
"Baby girl!" The angel boy greeted as he smiled brightly and fluttered his white feathered wings.
That nickname used to be an insult because of how you cried your eyes out when they first met you. But then they both casually referred to you by it since you liked to call them Angel Boy and Demon Boy.
When they call you it, you swear all your worries melt away, and you become a small little jewel that they cherish like a national treasure.
You felt special and valued, adored by people who didn't see fault in your every move.
Instead of responding back joyfully as you usually would, you crossed your arms and turned the other way. "I'm not talking to you two! Not after you guys got me grounded!" Your young adolescent voice expresses out.
The demon boy frowns while he twiddles his fingers behind his back with his batty aileron's twitching.
J had clicked his tongue and shrugged rather nonchalantly in his grey windbreaker. "You can't blame us forever, Baby! You were the one that wanted to fly to the satellite tower-"
You flung your head towards the angel while sneering. "Yeah, but you both were the ones that flew into the camera with the news reporter! When my dad saw it, he flipped and took away all my privileges! That's why I'm still grounded after three months!" Your response only spurs the young boy to rub the back of his neck sheepishly.
He could only grin and hope that bright smile he knew you loved would cheer you up. It was irritable how right he was. Although you were still upset, you wavered without even a fight.
Javan was just someone you couldn't be mad at, and Zagan as well. Not when the demon looked like he would faint when you would ignore him and vice versa for you with the angel.
"You guys are so lucky." You whine while sitting down on your bench and resting one of your arms on the windowsill. "Your parents never ground either of you."
The angel quirks a lopsided grin as he wags one of his fingers. "You can't get in trouble if they don't know~" His teasing remark spurs you to flick his forehead harshly.
He winces slightly while you train your attention to the ends of your hair. "Easy for you to say when your parents don't monitor everything you do like a hawk. They only just recently allowed me to be in my room by myself during the day..."
Zagan's scarlet red eyes flicker upwards to meet your gaze. "Sorry..." He whispers so softly that you almost miss it over the loud wooshing of the wind due to their flapping wings.
You parted your lips to speak, yet it was interrupted by a voice. "(Y/n)! Who are you talking to when you're grounded!?"
It was your father, and you could hear his heavy footsteps already stalking up the stairs.
"Crap!" Javan groans. The angel boy flew over to kiss your forehead before waving goodbye and flying over to his house next door.
You watched him glide so effortlessly away as the warmth on the spot he touched was mind-numbing and addicting.
Z glanced down at the ground for a second before shuffling for something in his pants pocket. Just as the footsteps arrived at your door, he placed something in the palm of your hand and whispered softly against your ear.
"I thought of you."
His soft, boyish voice rose the hair on the back of your neck.
The door squeaked open, and Z was gone like a flash of lightning. "Who said you could have your window open? Close it now." His voice is grating, pungent with authority as the man of the house.
"Yes, Dad." You responded immediately and slammed it shut. Your blood is running cold, a type of chill that burns bitterly.
His presence lingers, staring at the back of your head like you are little prey unable to escape its trap. Then there are his eyes, those cold, lifeless eyes.
You never liked seeing those words in the books. Cold...Lifeless...how can one look like that? But as you grew older, you became aware.
Nothing behind the eyes, empty and void of basic compassion. Or maybe he's only like that with you. Fathers know best for their daughters, right?
"Do you want more privileges to be taken away?" He questioned, which spurred you to immediately shake your head, gaze still situated on the wooden floor. "Should it be your bed or your books next?"
"N-No, please." Your voice was feeble, powerless like an injured animal. "I'm sorry."
His bulky body leans against the door frame while his arms crossed over his chest, and remains in silence. He lets the stillness unnerve you, the unknown of what is to come to scare you into compliance.
So he just stood there while you sat on the bench, cornered and head bowed.
The silence is so deafening. No, it's suffocating. As though quietness manifested into hands to grip your little neck and squeeze-
"Dad, the show's back on!" Your younger brother's voice cuts through the tension and gains the older man's attention.
He huffs audibly and finally speaks. "When I say you're grounded, that means you're being punished for disobeying." The man retorts. "Don't piss me off again." And with that, he grasps the door handle and slams it shut.
A hanging frame on the door tumbles from the force, with the walls of your room rattling. You don't move for a second, remaining stagnant to cease the quivering in your lips.
"I hate you." It seethes from your lips before you rub your eyes free of a burning sensation.
Now that you were alone, you allowed yourself to relax and unclench your fingers over the object Zagan had given you. What you come to see is a silver necklace with a small pendant. It's a pair of wings, silver and shiny, with something engraved on the smooth backside.
'My Favorite Girl'
How gorgeous. It brought a smile to your face as you ran your finger over the present. The metal and jewels felt cool to the touch.
You swiftly ran over to your vanity and chained the necklace around your throat like your life depended on it.
Often, it felt as though Zagan was annoyed with you, rarely ever speaking while looking disinterested. But sometimes...sometimes, he did things that brought a smile to your face.
Just like now.

Javan settled down in the seat next to you as he placed one of his arms around the back of your neck. Your gaze rose from the school Chromebook while you smiled at the male.
The more he ages, the more he continues to grow. His limbs became lengthy, his pink bubblegum hair down to his knees, and all the youthful fat in his face graced him with a prominent jawline and hollowed cheekbones.
"Hey, you. I thought Mr. Voitier was going to keep you after class for not paying attention." You tease while reaching for an apple on your tray.
It's lunchtime during eighth grade; you had sat in the courtyard attempting to fix homework you made a mistake on before it was due.
The angel winks while wagging a finger. "Not some good 'ol persuasion couldn't help with." He states before sticking out his tongue.
You scoffed, pinching his tongue before wiping the saliva on a napkin. "Threatening to tell the school that he's being biased because he's a demon isn't going to work forever. Eventually, he's going to lose his patience."
J merely waves a hand, dismissing your words before he leans back in his seat. His ocean eyes peer over to your screen, which provokes a groan.
"Sh*t. I didn't even know that was homework."
"How did you not know? It literally says the due date at the top."
The angel shrugs, and you roll your eyes. "This cannot be a habit, you know." His gaze is burning against the side of your face, provoking little tingles to run up your spine. "Fine...Fine, you can copy." Once you spoke, he beamed so brightly that his halo pulsated almost blindly.
He's like the sun that you could have in your arms.
"You're a lifesaver! Mom would kick my a** if I got anything below an A." He expressed with his white wings fluttering behind his back.
He's so cute.
"Yeah, yeah. If you would just stop being lazy and forgetful, you'd never have to worry." As you return your gaze to the Chromebook, you catch a glimpse of dark wings and light hair.
Blinking, you tilt the screen down as you hone in on the background. It was Zagan, for sure.
You actually have not seen him around for a while now. He's always busy or off doing his own thing. Your parents do not trust you enough to have a phone, so it is not like you can just message him.
Often, you do see him around his house down the street, but in school, it's like he's a ghost.
Matching your sight, Javan stands up while unfortunately removing his arm from your shoulders. "Yo! Z, bud!"
Zagan's movement froze as he removed his earbuds and directed his attention to the wall of windows.
The demon boy was still the same as when he was years ago—chubby cheeks, short height, stick-like limbs, baby crystal horns, with his shaggy curly blond hair reaching his shoulders.
What really changed was his wings, which were just massive, even longer than Javan's. He had to have it folded behind his back and buckled with a binding due to how difficult it was for him to keep the huge ailerons closed.
It must hurt.
The male beside you waves his hand over, and at first, it appears as though the other person in the trio looks hesitant.
But after a moment, he shifted his path and opened the doors to enter the courtyard. His scarlet horns glimmered like a gleaming diamond under the sun.
Javan and Zagan share a quick handshake before he nods over to acknowledge your presence.
"Whatchya been up to, man? We barely see you anymore." The angel starts as he returns to sit down next to you.
His right hand found its place on your thigh, and you swore your heart nearly lurched out of your stomach. The heat of his skin that you could feel through your clothes was swathing you in a bubble of delight.
It was addicting and comforting and had shot tingles all across your abdomen.
The demon boy swallowed rather audibly as he turned his head away. "Just been busy." He states, his voice slightly cracking.
Hmm, why wasn't he telling you two about it? You all shared everything with each other.
"I get it, man. Just don't forget about us. We've been friends for way too long just to grow apart." Javan expressed, and you nodded your head in agreement.
"We are here for you, Z." His scarlet eyes fling down to meet your gaze. "With whatever's going on, we'll listen. We'll support you through anything. That's what friends are for."
He swallows thickly again, his one hand hanging by his side twitching before curling into a fist that he hid in the pocket of his sweatshirt. "Yeah, I know. Thanks for that." His phone abruptly vibrates, and he snatches it swiftly, reading something on the screen with hard eyes before sighing. "I gotta go."
Before either of you can tell him goodbye, he was trekking back into the school with his tied wings beating against the binding.
A scowl laces your lips as you slouch in your seat. "I hope he's okay." You murmur, which prompts the angel to squeeze his hand on your leg.
Your fingers twitch as you train your attention to meet his bright eyes. "He's fine. You know he's just always been moody." The pink-haired being expresses while reaching for his own phone.
Either on instinct or tendency, your dominant hand rose to graze over the winged pendant beneath your blouse.
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
Knocking audibly on the door, you could hear courses of children screaming and laughing with objects falling to the ground.
It took a moment for the front door to be opened, and you were welcomed by the sight of Jahi, Zagan's mother.
She's a beautiful woman, blessed with beautiful features, a small mole on her chin, and small, sharp cat-like eyes with long lashes. You could see where Zagan got his hair from, his mother sprouting bright golden curls that reached her hips.
Her wings were something else, still leather-like but marked with swirling scarlet red lines that seemed to glow.
There was a small toddler hanging off her shoulder with one on top of her head and another babbling in her arms.
"Hi, Aunty!" You greet and grip the straps of your backpack. "Is Zagan home?"
"Baby!" She gushes down at you from her tall height while using the childhood nickname the two boys in your trio used. "It's been a while since you've been over. Everything alright?"
For a moment, you feel the inner corner of your eyes tense and burn, but you push it down to smile and nod your head. "Yes, Aunty! Eighth grade is just so busy."
Jahi nods before she catches one of her kids that fell from her head without even looking. "I understand. Don't be afraid to come over more often, even if it's just for dinner. Come in; Zagan's down in his room."
You bowed slightly before entering her large home and immediately removed your shoes. Two other kids covered in paint ran past swiftly while knocking over a vase.
Aunty Jahi practically teleported over and caught the porcelain object with one of her wings. "It looks like the kiddos are rather active today." You jest while helping her to put the vessel back on the stand.
"No kidding." She murmurs while leading you over to the kitchen. Easily, she holds two of the tykes in one arm as she rummages through the refrigerator before pulling out a bowl of fruit. "Have a snack. I'll be making dinner soon."
A lopsided grin forms on your lips from the habit you've always had. Every time you all used to come over, the older demon woman had snacks for you to eat.
Whether it be fruit, candy, or pastries. Carefully, you took the bowl and nodded. "Okay, Aunty. I'll see you in a bit."
She waved you away as you strode through the home like second nature. The residence was big, bigger than all the houses in the neighborhood.
It made sense with all the children in the Lamia household—at least seven children, with Zagan being the oldest. He likes to say that he can't stand his siblings, but he's cared for them like a third parent.
He'll say he hates them, but you've never seen someone who'd go to the ends of the world to find a cure when his brothers and sisters have just a cold.
Yeah, the demon boy goes on and on about wanting to move away, but you both know he'd worry himself sick about the other kids.
Watching your footing, you strolled downstairs to the basement, where you passed one of Z's younger brothers by a year reading on the couch in the common area.
They were rather similar looking, except he was taller, a little more aged in the face, and his horns had grown to curl back over his ears.
If you weren't family friends, you would have guessed the second and third oldest had come before Zagan because of how fast they grow...it's something Zagan's very insecure about.
"Hey, Alastor." You greet him as you pass.
He peers up for a second before returning to his book. "Hey, (Y/n)."
Down the hallway, the last door at the end, you approach unhurriedly before knocking loudly. You wait for a response, and once you get a quiet 'what,' you open it.
Zagan's changed into a pair of sweats with a matching dark sweater. His attention is on the gaming computer as he effortlessly clicks the buttons on his controller without even looking.
Once his gaze flickers over to you for a moment, he's startled and bangs his knee against the desk. "F*ck..." He curses under his breath as he yanks the headphones off his head.
You hold in a giggle and step in fully to close the door behind your figure.
"What are you doing here?" He snaps, practically hissing it out as he slides out from the desk to rub his knees.
"Why else?" You retort, dropping your bag against the wall to settle on his wide bed. "I miss you and came to check in because it feels like you're ignoring us."
Zagan frowns at your words; his gaze focuses on his legs for a second before he returns them to his screen. "You should have just texted-"
"I don't have a phone, remember."
He's silenced as you begin plopping the fruits into your mouth and snacking on them as if you had been starving.
The demon boy returned to his game, placing back on his headphones but keeping one earpad off so he could hear if you spoke.
Indulging in the comfortable ambiance of his button clicking and the muffled screaming of his siblings upstairs, you watched him play silently.
Not long after, you grasped your bag and took out a folder with homework that needed to be completed. You lay on your stomach, kicking your legs back and forth while reaching for fruit in the bowl.
When it came to spending time with Zagan, you both enjoyed doing your own thing in each other's presence. And considering that the demon boy didn't often speak either, you did most of the talking as he either nodded along to what you were saying or grunted in response.
It was comforting and something you've missed. For a while now, there felt to be this distance growing, like he were on the other side of the bridge with the path crumbling apart.
You didn't want to lose him.
"Where's Javan? Thought you'd be with him." He abruptly speaks up, cutting off the neutral silence.
"Javan had something to do with the Angel community." You state while turning over the packet to the next page. "Something about reconnecting with their beliefs or whatever."
Although you do not see, the demon nodded his head while saving his game. He removed his headphones to hang them on his monitor before turning his gaming chair to face your figure lying on his bed.
Feeling his gaze, you peered up while smiling. "Hey, there, Demon Boy. I missed you."
Zagan swallowed thickly at your words, his throat visibly bobbing as he gripped the rest of his seat tightly. You didn't notice earlier, but beneath his vibrant eyes were dark undercircles.
Had he not been sleeping well? He was always the last one to fall asleep and the first one up during sleepovers.
Even Jahi used to take him to the hospital for chronic insomnia, and they thought it was resolved. Guess not.
"Do you-"
"I know that you are in love with Javan."
You choked on a bite of fruit, a stinging sensation sprouting in the back of your throat as you sat up to cough. "W-What?! No! What are you even talkin' about?" Zagan's expression was not pleased. "Was it...Was it really that obvious?"
He scoffed while nodding and leaning back in his seat.
Groaning, you ran a hand through your hair while keeping your eyes down. It felt difficult at that moment to meet his gaze. "I didn't want anyone to know. I don't want anything to ruin our friendship, you know? We're already becoming distant."
The embarrassment was eating you alive.
"Baby Girl..." It's been years since he has called your name, even longer since you've heard him use that nickname. It makes shivers run up your spine as a tingling in your abdomen flutters. "You know that Javan's not really..." He stops himself from speaking anymore as if he couldn't find the words. "Javan's not really who you think he is. Don't you see fast he switches up when you're around?"
Raising a brow, you shook your head. "Actually, no, I don't. What do you mean by that?"
He respired a heavy breath, appearing unsure and doubtful as he shifted in his seat. "F*ckin' A... Listen, you might think you know Javan, but you really don't. He's not...He's not a good person-"
"What are you talking about!" You interjected, feeling heat flush through your body and a wave of vertigo. "I've known him since forever. I know him. Why are you talking down on our friend like that?"
His constrained wings twitched, pushing against the binding that had the straps whine. He attempted to speak, his lips parting, but only wheezes escaped.
Cursing again, his thin, bony fingers gripped tightly onto the armrest as his right leg began to bounce. "Please, if you value our friendship, just listen to me."
Oh, how you wanted to walk away right there, but what he said halted you in your spot. Of course, you valued your friendship with him; he was your best friend.
He was your family.
"Baby, Javan knows you like him. Everyone knows." Your face was burning in embarrassment; it felt so humiliating for some reason. "He doesn't feel the same. H-He's rather ashamed and disgusted-"
"You're lying!" It was practically a scream as you shot to your feet off the bed. "Javan would never say that!" The inner corner of your eyes stung as tears glazed over the conjunctiva. "He's not like that! You're just envious that he's always been better than you!"
Due to your words, the rage boiling your blood had now transferred over to the demon in front of you. Zagan stood up almost dangerously slow, like a predatory. "You think that's why I'm envious..." He nearly snarled while his canines visibly grew longer and sharper. "I don't give a flying f*ck that he's taller, bigger, smarter. He could be better than me in a hundred more ways, but it wouldn't even come close to why I'm envious of that b*stard."
Seething hot tears trailed down your face, seeping down your chin to wetten your throat. You didn't know how to feel, what exactly to feel.
All your emotions were taken for a spin: disoriented, puzzled, dumb-struck. Who is telling the truth? Who is right?
They both are your best friend, the people closest to your heart that makes your days brighter and nights calmer.
But how do you react when the one you're utterly in love with isn't who you thought he was? Or when the other confronts you with what could be the truth...but also a lie?
"Please, Z. Just...just tell me that you didn't mean it, and I'll forget-"
The straps containing his massive wings had snapped from the force as they extended outwards. The dark, leathery ailerons knocked over objects and slashed through metal shelves attached to the walls.
You nearly fell over from the sudden action, intimidated by the spikes that lined the edge at the top. Not only was it long in width, but the height of it was nearly double his stature.
They don't grow their wings like that; they don't get so big they are nearly twice their size. But his had the possibility of rivaling Satan.
"Ever since we were kids, you've let him get away with everything. You've overlooked too many flaws for me to stand here and let you get your heart broken." He reached forward to wipe a tear away, but you couldn't stand the touch of him at the moment.
It can't be true.
"What does it matter to you..." It's a broken cry, whimpering from your lips as your heart shatters inside regardless.
It just can't be true.
"I-" His chest decompresses while his wings descend like a deflating toy. "Baby, I care about you-"
"Then why are you lying to me!?"
Zagan startles you as his hands latch onto your shoulders and squeeze. "I'm not lying! Not to you! Not to my Baby." His already slightly high pre-teen voice squeaked, and he cringed at his tone.
So overwhelmed, filled with grief and disbelief, you stepped backward and spoke to him in a way you never have before. "No, I'm not your Baby. Not anymore."
It was as if you watched his world crumble in his scarlet eyes. "(Y-(Y/n)...please."
You couldn't breathe at all, as if someone had your lungs in their hands and were depriving you of any air. With blurry sight, muddled with tears, you turned away and shoved your things into your bag.
His wings were still in the way; those beautiful things that you loved to play with when he would allow it made the tears all the worse now. "Let me out." You ordered.
The hands that were once holding your shoulder dropped to hang limply by his side, weak, frail, unstable. "If I let you go, then that's it."
You were losing strength in your legs.
"(Y/n), don't leave me...please." He begged while stepping forward, but you turned your head away.
Your grip on the straps of your bag was not enough padding to save your palms from being burrowed into by your nails.  "Goodbye, Zagan."
That was it. You both knew that it was final; there was no going back from this. The friendship has been tarnished, and trust broken.
It will never be the same again.
Hesitantly, Zadan curled in his massive wing, and you didn't waste another moment running out of there.
You flung the door open and scurried down the hall.
Alastor was still in the common room on the couch and waved to you without looking away from his book. "Goodbye, (Y/n)."
"Goodbye, Alastor."
You passed the other Lamia siblings who called out to you, and you had to say goodbye, knowing you'd never be back here again.
On your way to the front door, you tried to be silent, holding down a sob, but when you heard Jahi calling out to you from behind, you nearly bawled right then and there.
"I'll see you soon, right, Baby?"
You sniffled, hiding your face as you forcefully shoved your feet into your shoes and half-a**ed-tied them. "Of course, Aunty!" Faking the enthusiasm hurt like a punch to the gut. "I'll see you again soon."
Before she could reply, you left as fast as you could. There's no one left to turn to but him; you need to see him.
Without a phone or any way to contact him, all you could do was return home and wait for him to get back from the event.
At first, you walk as if your legs are broken, but the ardent emotions spur you to bolt down the street back to your house.
You fling the door open and hasten down the hallway to get up the stairs. Your father yells out to you, followed by your younger brother, whose mocking words pierce you like blunt knives.
The sobs raking your body are excruciating, aching as if your entire figure is cold rubber being pulled. It feels even worse here with all the memories.
Pictures of the three of you are everywhere: the unfished projects worked on together, and the clothes still left over from when they used to sneak in for a sleepover.
You cannot stand it; you cannot handle it.
Everything must go.
There is no carefulness or being mindful of how you handle the things in the room; you throw them into plastic bags with the full intent of being rid of everything.
Yet when you collapse to your knees to catch your breath, the necklace he gave you slips out from underneath your shirt.
The sight only provoked your wails to become silent, merely broken, stuttering wheezes as the stress spurred sleep to hold you tightly and close your eyes.
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
A warm touch ran through your hair while the same heat traveled up and down your spine in a soothing manner.
"Hey, it's not good to sleep on the cold wooden ground."
Your awareness was returning, and you groaned audibly while cracking your puffy eyes open. "Mmm, Javan...?"
He hums in acknowledgment, and as your vision focuses, you see that you are moved onto your bed, the angel boy sitting at the edge as he comforts your head in his lap.
"I'm sorry it took me so long to get here, Baby." He cooed softly as the singing of grasshoppers filled your room due to the open window.
His presence, the god-like radiance, was cathartic, like the pounding of raindrops on the roof. Everything had felt so cold, and you felt so alone.
With Javan here, as he holds you, it's like heaven.
You tell him everything, everything that happened when you visited Zagan at his home. Without mentioning your feelings for him, you skidded over that part, but it wasn't needed to explain the event.
It hurts inside as if you swallowed a cluster of needles.
The angel listens silently as he continues to rub your back and send tingles through the muscle. By the time you finished, a new set of tears had befallen your face; however, your throat ached too much to wail audibly.
"I'm so sorry he did that to you. I knew he had always been rude and inconsiderate, but I didn't think he would ever try to smear my name or break your heart." He murmurs while tilting his head. "I really thought our friendship meant something to him."
You could barely nod with exhaustion interwoven in your limbs. "Me too..."
One of Javan's hands lightly grazed over your lips as he trailed it down your neck. "You know how much I care about you, right?"
【"What does it matter to you..." It's a broken cry, whimpering from your lips as your heart breaks inside regardless.
"I-" His chest decompresses while his wings descend like a deflating toy. "Baby, I care about you-"
"Then why are you lying to me!?"】
You do not trust your voice, only nodding your head as you turn over to hide your face against his abdomen.
"I cannot tell you enough about how important you are to me." Javan's hand reached down as he clasped his fingers with yours. "You are my everything, Baby. You are my sun-" He squeezed your conjoined hand. "-my moon-" Leiursurely, he leans down to hover by your ear. "-you are the air I need to breathe-" And finally, you felt the softness of his succulent lips caressing the skin of your neck. "-and the strength that lets me fly. I cannot be without you."
He kisses down your throat until he reaches your shoulder so he can hide his face in the crook of your neck. "Don't let his hurtful lies make you question our friendship, our relationship. We don't need him anyway. Right?"
When you don't reply, he pulls away and lightly swivels your head to look up at him. "Right, Baby girl? We don't need him. Can you say it?"
"W-We..." It feels as though you have no voice even to speak. No one wants to drop a friend, let alone one from childhood that was like family.
Shaking your head, you attempt to pull away; however, you are not permitted to leave. Javan maneuvers your position, with you on your back, as he leans over from above.
The beautiful white feathered wings flap lightly in the air as the moon glimmers behind him, darkening his halo.
"You can do it, Baby. I know you can." The angel boy lightly pressed his open palm on your stomach as he stared down with otherworldly eyes. "Here, I'll even say it with you."

"I-"
His hand on your belly lifts so his fingertips trail up to your neck.
"I-"
He wraps them around your throat, tingles jolting across your skin.
"-Don't-"
The angel leans down just close enough to where your nose barely touches.
"-Don't-"
You feel hot beneath your clothes as if you were lying in a sauna.
"-Need-"
Your heart hurts, filled heavily with the distraughtness of losing your best friend.
"-Need-"
The closeness...the proximity of your bodies were suffocating your lungs.
"-Him-"
It's one word, but the impact of it was greater than an asteroid colliding with the moon.
"-Him-"
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
(Y/n) - Eighteen years old
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
Even early in the morning, the common room of the high school was bustling with activity. You felt heated beneath baggy clothes as you chewed on a piece of gum.
The insides of your stomach ached as though they were eating its self alive.
With your cracked phone in hand, your fingers danced over the keyboard as you debated whether or not to double-text.
Javan has left you on read again without a single response. You've been attempting to get in contact about when you could give him the essay that he needed help with.
During senior year, you know he's busy with Track and Lacrosse, and he doesn't have the time to check in with you like he used to.
It doesn't help that it's hard to get close to him. High school does what high school does.
Angels run with run angels, devils and demons congregate together, and any other monster type sticks with their kind.
There obviously were a few outcasts, but even then, it was hard to be included. Not even mentioning how the small populations of humans weren't a fan of you. The humans said you were too close to the monster, and the monsters didn't like you because you were human.
Lose/lose situation.
Just thinking about it always puts a damper on your mood. The isolation and seclusion were nothing new; it was merely exhausting to have to do everything by yourself.
You threw the broken phone on the round table in the common room and leaned over the AP history textbook that was open. Its cold, plastic-like texture felt pleasant against your warm skin.
Sleep hasn't been gracing you for a while now. There have been just too many things to do. So much homework, more than half, not even yours. Javan already had so much on his plate. As his best friend, it felt only right to help him as much as you could.
Resting the side of your head on your arms, you stared out at the entrance of the school. More students poured into the halls as the time grew closer to the first period.
Hopefully, Javan arrives by himself, so you won't need to deal with the other angels questioning your presence.
For beings that were made to be messengers of god, they were rather concerned about their vanity. Well, that's what happens when they are left to themselves.
They become rather human in their sins.
Your already sour mood became acidic as the one person you wish you didn't have to see walked through the door.
He had to bend down from his 6'6 (198.12cm-1.9812m) height, the grown crystal horns on top of his head only causing more hassle; it nearly scraped against the already lofty door frame.
Zagan used to believe that his horns would never grow, considering his younger siblings had curled and extended way earlier than he ever did.
The demon boy was just a late bloomer.
He used to be this short, scrawny little guy who was never in the slightest popular. Many of your peers picked on him, mocking him for his appearance, calling him a pathetic excuse of a demon.
Now, he was practically the poster child. His muscles grew, making him beefy and bulky. His upper torso was wide, more specifically, his shoulders, with his chest broadening.
Through his tighter clothes, anyone could see the muscle definition of his abbs and v-line. Before, Zagan was never one for such fitted clothes; you knew he was always insecure about his skeletal limbs and hid them beneath sweats and oversized attire.
Similar to his upper body, his legs grew just as muscular and thick. They fitted dark jeans perfectly to where you could see the curves and meat beneath the cloth.
What has also changed is his hair. His blonde curls were less defined, and he cut them so they were just slightly beneath his ear.
His earlobes are now pierced and riddled with embellishments and rings. Those beautifully dangerous batty wings of his had somehow grown even larger; the width was nearly unbelievable, with the height a little past his head.
The spikes were pointier, more ominous.
At first, when he was younger, he needed to bind his abnormally large wings for his size because he didn't have the control to keep them closed or out of the way. Now, he still has to bind them only because they are so oversized that even when he curls them in, it's like he walks with a wall behind him.
Zagan Lamia went from being super nerdy and a loner to a big shot that everyone wanted to be affiliated with...everyone but the angels and you.
Now, your ex-friend ran with the other demon students. He was like a celebrity, someone the girls threw themselves at, and the boys always tried to get into his good gracious with.
Sometimes, when you look at his mature appearance, you wonder if it was you who was holding him back from his potential.
For a moment, it felt as though Zagan's scarlet red gaze rose to meet yours as he swiped his tongue over his plump bottom lip. A small black ring pierced the left side of his lip, and he appeared to fiddle with it as he neared.
Your heart abruptly skipped a beat, and the back of your neck was drenched with sweat.
It's as though he's deadset on making his way to you, but a warm hand on your neck startled you. Your head flew up as you swung your gaze in the other direction.
Javan plopped his body down in the seat beside yours and tilted his head while smiling almost coyly. "What were you looking at, Baby?"
Your stomach coils like two hot wires being twisted around each other. Glancing back swiftly, there doesn't appear to be any trace of Zadan. He's nowhere to be seen, and that's saying something.
"Nothing." You murmur softly and return your attention to the angel. "Just thought I saw something, must be my mind playing tricks on me."
He hummed slowly, staring at your phone tossed aside on the table before glancing at your face. "I can see that you haven't been sleeping. Bad dreams?" His words are laced with honey, so sweet that you devour it like a greedy little kid.
You don't want to seem incompetent by confessing that you feel overwhelmed by your workload, so you attempt to smile and nod your head. "Yeah, bad dreams and Yose's little pranks getting out of hand."
Javan laughs lightly; you're sure that he can easily imagine that annoying little menace of a brother bothering you.
Similar to Zagan, the angel had grown and matured just as much. He didn't get beefy like the demon; his build was more athletic and toned.
His muscular limbs were proportionate to his 6'2ft (188.976cm - 1.8796m) stature, the white feathered wings just as big and as tall as himself. They curled perfectly behind his back; wouldn't be a problem unless he unfurled them outwards.
That long hair of his was no more. He cut it so it was long bangs over his forehead and a mullet of some sort down the back of his neck.
There was just something about the angels and the way they dressed; they were always on trend, stylish, and attired in a manner that always made their bodies look the best.
It was like having supermodels strutting down the halls, not accounting for the succubus' or Incubi.
Realizing why you were upset in the first place, you dig through your heavy backpack to pull out your Chromebook. "Before I forget, let me send the essay to you."
Javan beamed, his ocean eyes practically glimmering as he wrapped a hand around the back of your neck. "I literally forgot. You really are a lifesaver!"
【The angel shrugs, and you roll your eyes.
It's been four years, but that memory from the courtyard in middle school suddenly flashed in your mind. So long ago, but the recollection still feels as though it were yesterday.
The loss still feels so fresh.
"Right..." You wheeze out before clearing your throat. "What are your plans today? I've been wanting to get out of the house and go somewhere other than work."
J appears to think intently, his gaze almost out of focus, before he shakes his head and runs a hand through his hair. "I don't think I can. The community is meeting up at the grand church for a ceremony tonight."
The dejection is evident, your shoulders sagging, but it's what you expected. He's ever so busy; you should be more considerate of his schedule.
Humming, you sent over the documents through email as you kept your gaze away from meeting his. "Are you still going to senior formal?" You question just to start a conversation.
It's been weeks since you've actually been able to speak face-to-face with him. You're soaking his attention in as much as you can.
"Yeah, I wasn't gonna go, but the others convinced me."
"Oh~?" Your lips form into a faux smile. "Javan Wyn was peer pressured?"
The hand on the back of your was removed to flick at your forehead. "I don't get peer pressured." He stated, which spurred you to roll your eyes.
"Alright, whatever you say, Angel Boy. Do you have at least a date?"
"No."
The heat beneath your baggy clothes grew worse, and a sudden surge of anxiety flushed through your bloodstream. "Are you going to ask someone?"
You don't know whether you want him to say yes or no. He's so handsome, his appearance nearly a blessing of god. It's astounded you that he isn't in a relationship.
Everyone flocks to him.
And you're still in love with him after twelve years.
"Hmm." He leans over the table and rests his chin in the palm of his hand. "I haven't really put any thought into it."
A breath of air you hadn't realized you were holding in was released as you laughed. What did you expect?
He's never voiced anything about liking any of the girls at the school, and you'd know. Best friends tell each other everything.
"Well, if you come up with someone in mind, won't you tell me first?" You offer while leisurely closing your Chromebook.
"Sure, Baby. You'll be the first to know." Javan laughs under his breath while swiping a loose strand of hair over to behind your ear. Doing so, he was able to see a very small hair clip you had to keep some frays out of your face.
"What's this?" He questions, and you're unable to meet his gaze.
You immediately remove the clip and conceal it within the palm of your hand. "Oh! I-It's nothing. I just forgot to take it out. My hair was just getting in the way."
Whatever the angel says goes a long way for you. If he says a certain color looks good on you, you're altering your whole theme.
When he tells you, 'I really like it when you wear baggy clothes. You don't look good when you wear anything tight.' You change your entire wardrobe, so maybe he'll like you more.
Maybe his eyes would linger on you more when you listen when he says, 'Don't wear make-up, you look so much better bare-faced. Make-up just doesn't fit someone like you.'
Perhaps he'll tell you he likes the way you look when you do your hair just the way he likes it. 'It's ugly when you put those clips in your hair, ya know. I only like girls who keep their hair up in a bun. Yeah, yeah, that suits you much better.'
You would do anything for him.
"Don't forget next time." Javan reprimands and reaches for the colorful metal clip in your hand. "It's ugly when you wear it."
Your throat tightens, constricting with the sensation of sobbing, attempting to force its way through. But you swallow it down and nod your head with a small, frantic smile. "Of course."
His warm fingers graze over your palm to take the clip in his own and leans back to aim and toss it in the garbage can against the wall. "There." He murmurs while turning back to face you with a gleaming smile. "You look so much better when you're like this."
Simple, he likes it when you appear simple and clean. He likes it when you wear ill-fitting clothes, even when it's hot, and you're swathed in sweat. He likes it when you tie your hair up, fringes, and lose hair gelled back.
He likes it when you do nothing more.
The bell rings, which draws his attention as well as that of other students who scatter to get to class on time. The angel stands and pats your face lightly while grazing his thumb over your lip.
Your entire stomach is doing front lips, and you could melt in his angelic touch.
"I'll see you around, Baby." And with that, he departs from the common area to leave you alone just as you were before.
It was nice while it lasted, but all good things must come to an end.
"See you around, Javan." It whispers from your lips as you shift in your seat to collect your things.
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
You hate that sensation, the feeling of chlorine in your hair. Even as you try to scrub and wash it out after aquatic fitness, that awful tacky and dry sensation sticks to every strand.
It sucks, considering how much you enjoyed swimming. Weightless, fluid, as if you're flying away from here. The way your hands split the water, the manner in which your body glides through it so easily, drives all your worries to melt away.
Shutting off the shower in the female locker room, you reach for your towels and wrap them around your body and hair.
There should still be at least ten more minutes before the bell rings for the end of class. You can take a little bit of time to look presentable-ish.
As you enter the lockers, it appears that all the other girls had finished before you, already gone. Not that you minded either; you didn't like their eyes on your body, judging in the way they always do.
You're just a little human in a world of monsters.
Sighing, you undid the code to the lock and opened the locker. Instead of seeing your change of clothes and other items, it was bare.
Not a single object or article of clothing.
Your entire stomach filled with dread, and dropped to your knees.
"Awe, whatever happened to your clothes~?" It's a sickeningly sweet voice that originated behind you. The hairs on the back of your neck stand on end as your heart skips a beat.
Laughing lightly even though you desire to scream, you remove the towel from your hair and slowly turn around. "I just can't seem to keep my things together."
It's suffocating, standing in only thin, short clothes as six other students surround you, four angels and two humans.
Water trickled down your neck while you swallowed thickly.
"Oh, we agree." One of the angels expresses and steps forward. "Which is why you need to learn a lesson~!" She's so pretty; is such a shame her personality is rotten.
You latched onto the front of your towel as you stepped back, only for the locker to shock you with the contrast of heat.
"I-I'm sure I'm innocent." You're losing your voice, becoming guttural like you had been screaming it away. "What did I do?"
A human girl latches her hand on your bicep and tugs you so hard that you nearly slip on the cold concrete ground.
"You need to be reminded of your place."
Before you can attempt to de-escalate the situation, your other arm is latched onto, and you're being dragged away.
There is no grip on your bare feet that you are just sliding on the floor. You can only hold onto that thin towel to keep even a bit of your modesty.
"Stop it! Hey!" They bring you closer to the exit, where loud chattering emanates from. Classmates and other students must fill the large open area where the hallway had opened up for gatherings.
Your elbow slams back, knocking into one of the girl's noses. She gasps, and blood immediately begins to trickle down.
She licks it while a terrifying sneer forms on her plump lips. "You bitch!" Her hand latches onto the back of your knotted, wet hair as two others open the door.
They managed to drag you through the door and thrust you outwards so you fall forward. You're barely able to catch yourself, striking your knees on tile that immediately spurred an onset of blood to stream down your shins.
Laughter...Laughter reverberates outwards, so loud that the vibrations echo beneath the ground.
You feel sick.
The one you had hit grasped onto the back of your hair again. She tugged your head upwards to look at everyone while also grabbing onto the bottom of your jaw.
At least more than half of your grade had congregated in this massive area, and they surrounded you like a school of fish.
"Look, everyone! It's the girl who thinks she's better than us!"
Ice runs through your veins, so cold that it's a burning sensation. The insides of your throat swell up, depriving you of air.
You're scared.
You're humiliated.
They're laughing at you, their giggles and cheers so deafening it's as though they are bursting your eardrums.
"Come on!" A different girl locks onto your wrist and pulls you to your feet with her pure strength. "Where did all that entitlement go!?"
Not even a second after you are standing, were you kicked down and forced to collapse on your bruised and rived knees.
A strangled gasp wheezed from your lips as the inner corner of your eyes stung. Tears clouded your conjunctiva before trickling down your heated face.
"Doesn't she deserve a little humility!?" Courses of 'yes' and cheers echo like the booms of fireworks. They begin chanting...chanting to take everything away.
These people wanted to ruin you.
Your hand holding up the towel was yanked away as another gripped the cloth to tear it off your body.
"No!" Just as you finally release your voice, a vociferous snapping sound overtakes the shouting and replaces it with gasps.
Scarlet red eyes meet your gaze as his wings tear apart the binds and extend outwards, knocking nearly half the crowd to the ground.
He practically teleported in front of your figure to yank you up to your feet by one of your wrists and hold you tight to his body.
The massive size of his wings is not just for show as he flaps them; the force sends everyone tumbling away, skidding across the ground and hitting the walls.
You cannot breathe, even with your lungs expanding and retracting vigorously and your mouth gulping in the air like a fish; lightheadedness only grows more intense.
Zagan's burly arm wraps firmly around your back as he hauls you back into the locker room, the male locker room.
A clamorous cry echoes out from your lips as you grip his shirt, burrowing your nails in his thick, muscled waist. You didn't mean to cry, to wail out and release this visceral wail that rattles through your entire being.
He doesn't say a single word, merely picking your much smaller figure into a bridal position. His body heat contrasted against the chill of your damp person in such a way that you immediately succumb to his warm hold.
To be against his body brings back so many memories, all before the fallout, before the trio became nothing anymore.
You've missed him so much.
Why did it have to be this way?
The strength of your sobs worsens, racking through your bones. Zagan's wings surround the two of you, blocking out the light and muffling the sounds from outside.
It's only the quiet hum of the internal conditioning and your blustering cries. Your face is hidden against his pecs, wetting his shirt, but he doesn't seem to mind.
He only continues to hold you like you're a cracked vase, precious, broken, and needing his undivided attention.
Even though your nose is stuffed, this close proximity and protective surroundings of his wings allow you to smell his scent.
Zagan smells like an early dawning, with fog concealing the world and honeydew drops garnishing the grass.
This is not the smell of heaven, but damn, does it feel like paradise.
Soon, without a single word being spoken, your cries cease to become hiccups and whimpers. Strength has dissipated from your muscles, leaving your entire being exhausted.
You just want to fall asleep and never wake up.
The demon boy leans his head down, and though it is void of light while swathed in his batty wings, you can feel his gaze on your face.
His one arm under your shoulder gingerly pushed up upwards so you were sitting on his lap. He held onto your bare thigh while allowing your head to rest on his shoulder.
There are tingles erupting beneath his fingers that ignite your nerves. You've never been touched like this before.
"Better?" Not the voice of an angel, not the singing of the devil; it's something entirely different. Deeper, coarser, it's manly and rugged.
The sound of it reminds you of a rustic cabin, lost in the woods with a fire burning in a stone pit. Everything, from the foundation to the wiring, was done by hand.
It feels personal.
Slackly, with barely any strength, you nod your head and raise a hand to swipe at your face.
"...You...You still have it."
It is obvious what he's referring to; that cold pendant abruptly feels warm at the mention of the necklace. You hadn't the heart to remove it or to throw it away.
Doing so would be completely removing him from your life, even more than he already was. "Yeah..." You didn't want to tell him anymore.
You can't tell him that sometimes you'd grip that necklace and pray that everything would revert back to the way it used to be. Or that you'd run your fingers on the engraving on the back, remembering when he was always there for you...always there until that event.
Feeling him nod his head, his massive spiked wings part very carefully to let in the light. Zagan stands up to place your body in the spot he was just sitting in and strides over to a wall of lockers.
The way he just manhandles you sends shivers across your stomach and farther down.
He undoes the lock and shuffles through a bag before turning to face your figure. You can't believe the man standing in front of you is Zagan.
This is really the same nerd who had to look up at you; now you have to crane your neck even to meet his gaze.
It's really been four years without even acknowledging one another.
"Here, It's obviously not going to fit, but it's better than nothing." Zagan murmurs as he steps closer to lay a set of clothes on your lap.
That sweater...he still had that same dark red sweater that you bought him once at the mall. You said it went well with his eyes, made them as bright as stars.
It most definitely doesn't fit him now, which means he's kept it even after he had finally developed.
"I'm going to turn around to make sure no one comes in while you change."
His speech breaks you from your thoughts. You peek upwards just as he folds his wings and trekks over to the locker room door.
You feel more self-conscious now with Zagan's back turned than you did in front of the other students. The tips of your ears are burning along with your cheeks.
It's almost like the clothes are made of glass the way you gently handle them and set them on the seat as you stand. Your body has long dried after the shower, yet you keep the towel over your shoulder as you shuffle on his attire.
The sweater was soft, lined with cushiony fabric that felt nice against your skin. Without a bra or support system, you were lucky it was rather oversized and thick to obscure your chest.
Next is the pair of black fleece sweatpants. You end up fitting it well; you're definitely sure that this was from when he was smaller.
Luckily, there's a drawstring that you end up tying to tighten at your waist.
"I'm done." You meant for your voice to be firm, but it's gravelly and coarse, as if you need to clear your throat.
He tilts his head back to look, but he audibly sucks in a breath of air before flinging his head in another direction. One hand covers his mouth as the other holds onto the wall for support
Your brows crease tightly, and your fingers form into fists in the sleeves that are too long for you. "Is something wrong?"
It took a short moment for him to clear his throat. He shook his head as if he were freeing himself from thoughts while extending a large, coarse hand outward. "Grab my hand, and I'll take you home."
It's as though he steals the air right out of your lungs.
After everything? After what you said to him, after dropping him...he's still caring for you.
You want to hit him. If only he didn't accuse Javan of what he said, nothing would have changed.
"I-I can go home on my own." You state, yet it only prompts him to click his tongue and step forward.
He immediately dwarfs your smaller stature by his much larger one. The demon peers down with an unknown expression, one where you can't even tell what he's thinking.
Those gorgeous wings of his softly flutter to gain your attention just as one corner of his succulent lips quirk upwards. "And miss the chance to fly?"
How right he was.
As kids, you begged them to take you flying. One of them would hold you close and raise you to the sky so you could feel utterly weightless.
Nothing mattered while you soared, not your f*cked up family, not your unrequited love, nothing at all but that freedom.
You haven't felt it in four years because Javan was always too busy and Zagan...
"Fine." It whispers from your lips as you shift your gaze away. "Just home, please."
His small, angled eyes squinted as if he knew what you were thinking while he nodded his head. "Let's go." He states and reaches for one of your hands.
That warmth surrounds you again as he holds on tight and departs from the male locker room. It's empty within the common area; seems that everyone knew better to leave than to stick around and face the poster boy's wrath.
It's sunny outside as you both exit through a side door. The sun is high, with a few fluffy white clouds clumped together. You were maneuvered into a new position, one where Zagan held your body in the bridal position again before taking off.
Those massive wings of his are so powerful, so strong that he could probably outfly any fighter jet. He's arrived in the sky in the blink of an eye.
Wind is whipping around your baby hairs and striking against your face, yet you welcome the little stings.
You're light, fluid, and weighed down by nothing in this moment. Zagan's flying through the clouds, allowing your fingers to feel the slight chill and moisture like before.
It earned a laugh from your lips, a genuine one that hasn't graced your face in a long, long time. The demon's grip grew tighter at the sound of laughter and peeked down at your face.
Your eyes met for a second, and his lips parted as though he desired to speak, but they shut upon arriving in your neighborhood.
Not yet; you didn't want to go home just yet.
"We could fly around a little longer." Your eyes fling upwards to meet his as he swallows. "If you want, that is."
No, no, you don't want to go home at all.
You feel an ache in your stomach, a burn in your eyes, and a pressure in your throat.
Doesn't he hate you at all?
"Just...Just take me home, please." You spoke a lie, and god should have struck you down right then and there.
How is it that you both look-feel so dejected?
The scarlet-eyed demon descends from his high place in the sky to your window on the second floor. You manage to crack it open before slipping inside and shifting around to face the dirty blond-haired man.
He hovered in his spot, taking in the view of your bedroom after so long. All the pictures of him are gone; all the gifts he's given you are nowhere in sight.
"I'll uh-" His tongue fiddles with the lip ring as he drops his gaze. "I'll get your bag from school and bring it over."
You want to tell him not to worry about it, but you do not trust your voice, so you merely nod your head.
Zagan mimics your action and lightly taps the windowsill before flying away. Your puffy eyes follow and watch his figure until he's too far to be seen.
Too far gone.
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
When Zagan returned from gathering your things from the school, he lightly tapped on your window to gain your attention.
However, he received no response, none at all. The blinds were pulled together so that he couldn't see inside...nor feel your presence.
The demon knocked again, a little louder this time, with again no response. He reacted without thinking, thrusting up the old window and nearly tearing off the blinds.
It was the same as he saw earlier: slightly messy, books splayed open, clothes folded but not put away, yet there was something different.
On the bench by the window was the folded set of clothes he allowed you to wear...and a note on top. His fingers were shaky for some reason, filled with dread as if he were inches away from death.
Flipping it open displayed just a few words with messy handwriting, like writing in a rush.
I'm sorry, I can't do this anymore goodbye
The paper tore in his grasp while the pair of fangs in his mouth elongated and sharpened. Every muscle within his body tensed and constricted.
F*ck, f*ck, f*ck!
This can't be happening!
You can't be gone!
He tried to control his breathing, attempting to calm himself just the slightest so he could figure out where the f*ck you had gone.
But your scent is decamped with not a trace of or trail leading anywhere. Even your presence, the very feeling of your soul, is nowhere close.
He can't feel it, he can't feel you.
After years of saying it, knowing you so well, even after four years of disregarding each other, he knows you did it.
You ran away.

Continuing on in pt.2
꧁𓊈𒆜 ━━━━━━━━━ 𒆜𓊉꧂
Short and dramatic, but it's better than nothing, right? This had been in the drafts for a long time, but I decided to break it up into 2 parts just to get it out. It also allows me to focus on the second act of the story.
This is setting up for pt.2, where all the drama is going to unfold. The reader gets found and realizes the truth, more daddy Zagan screen time (he's gonna be in a gang hehe), and Javan is confronted. There's gonna be fistfights, tears, and a lot of sl*tty demon s*x.
Psst, I'll let you in on a little secret. The Lamia household has lots of siblings, right? Well, certain demons have a little...hmm, how do I say this...have a breeding trait passed down through generations. Jahi has it, which explains the seven children, and well...Zagan's very much like his mother.
Which makes him a 'Breeding Bull'. So that's something to look forward to in pt.2 ;)

I Think We're Alone Now
Tumblr media
Mom and Dad finally get some alone time. Smutty addition to Gremlin - takes place during moment 3. Thank you to @lfaewrites for beta reading!
Gremlin / read on ao3 / masterlist
Pairing: Dad!Eddie x Mom!Reader
Word count: 3.7k
Warnings: SMUT (oral f receiving, unprotected p in v - let's imagine everyone's been tested and reader is on the pill), established relationship, insecure reader, teen pregnancy (not elaborated on), boyfriend shaped Eddie fluff Steal my work and I will hex you
As soon as you'd gotten to the Mayfield's trailer, Indie had bounded inside straight to the dollhouse Max had set up especially for her in the corner.
You handed Max your daughter's backpack, telling her you had packed her lunchbox and tucked a Care Bears VHS inside the front pocket. “She’s had a bit of a runny nose this morning and she refused to eat breakfast so-“
“Seriously, we’ll be fine." Max knew your deal, you had gone through the same spiel every time you dropped Indie off for the past year. She responded with her regular answer, "you’re like 100 feet away.”
“Don’t hesitate to drop her back, okay?”
“Actually please do hesitate," Eddie was leaning against the doorframe, bouncing his leg. "It’s been ages.”
Of course that's what he was most concerned about. You raised your eyebrows in warning. “Eddie.”
He copied you. “Babe.”
Max grinned. “Don’t worry about it. Pick her up whenever. You two have fun," she wiggled her eyebrows suggestively and shut the fly screen.
"Will do, see you later. Bye Gremlin, love you," Eddie called out, dragging you back to your own trailer across the way.
-
It always took a while for the worry to ebb away whenever you left your daughter with someone who wasn’t Eddie. Even though Max had been regularly looking after her for the better part of a year and you trusted her completely, part of you was still worried something would happen.
Eddie was the complete opposite, allowing common sense to reign. He knew that Mayfield and your daughter were only in the trailer opposite, literally 100 feet away. And he trusted that Mayfield would bring her straight back if something happened that she couldn’t handle. But he also knew that Mayfield could handle a lot.
Eddie wrapped his arms around your waist, placing a kiss on your forehead. "Baby they’ll be fine, they always are. How about I make popcorn and we can watch that dumb mermaid movie you love."
"You said you liked Splash ," you mumbled against his chest. You could hear the steady lub-dub of his heart and you were enjoying the way he was stroking your hair.
"I like Daryl Hannah's ass." He quickly added, "not as much as I like yours, though. You know I love your ass. Hey, maybe we could get you a mermaid tail.”
You rolled your eyes, but managed a smile.
-
Eddie made it halfway through the movie before he put the moves on you. It started with the classic yawn and arm around the shoulder, which quickly turned into groping your breast through the thin fabric of your shirt; his breath hitching when he felt that you weren’t wearing a bra.
"Seriously?"
"I almost made it a whole hour, are you proud of me?"
"Very."
"Great, can we have sex now please?"
He phrased it so stupidly, like a horny teenager begging to get laid, but it still managed to give you butterflies.
You'd been with Eddie for three years, and the insecure girl part of your brain was worried that at any moment the romance would fizzle and die out. It shocked you that even though he'd seen you at your most vulnerable: sick, depressed, pregnant, deep in the throes of childbirth, he still tried to jump your bones every chance he got. You weren't sure how many times he'd have to tell you that all those little moments combined made him love you even more than was humanly possible for you to believe it.
But horny Eddie made it a little easier to believe. Horny Eddie made you feel wanted and desired, which satiated the insecure girl part of your brain for an hour, or two, or a whole night. It depended on the babysitting situation.
It didn’t take more than you climbing onto his lap for him to attach his mouth to yours, groaning deeply when you parted your lips.
Proper kisses between you two, the kind that weren’t just a peck on the lips or cheek, had become rare since you’d had Indie. Usually they were stolen in the kitchen; you pressed up against the counter while Eddie distracted you from dinner, lasting the amount of time your daughter was preoccupied with the TV. Or they were lazy morning kisses where you kept missing each other's lips because your eyes were full of sleep; the ones that usually ended in muffled giggles as you tried not to wake Indie as she slept in the cot at the end of your bed. But kisses that turned into making out were especially rare and took extra planning. The kisses that had you moaning as you reminded yourselves of the architecture of the other's mouth. The kisses that moved from your lips to your jaw to your neck, inevitably finding their way between your legs.
“Babe, bedroom,” you were already panting, breathless as he trailed his tongue along your jaw. He hummed against your skin, the vibration buzzing deep in your bones, making your toes curl.
He didn’t need to be told twice, taking your hand and leading you the short distance to the bedroom before he pushed you unceremoniously onto the bed. He pulled off his shirt, and you did the same, also shedding your jeans, as he slotted himself between your legs.
“Pants off,” your fingers deftly unbuckled his belt, tugging the denim down his legs. Normally he’d make a remark about how eager you were, but the truth was he didn’t have it in him; it had been awhile since the two of you had been alone together. His head was clouded with dirty thoughts of you; you naked, you moaning, you screaming his name, you swallowing him whole.
His fingers trailed down your body, stopping to circle your pebbled nipples, fluttering over the expanse of your stomach before they found their way between your legs; tracing your cotton covered slit.
“Eddie,” you breathed, pushing your hips up, his touch far too delicate for your liking.
He pushed the material aside, dipping two fingers between your folds and smirked when he found you wet. “What do you want, sweetheart?” You knew exactly what he meant; fingers or mouth.
“Your mouth. Please,” you couldn’t help whining as he dragged your panties down your thighs, exposing your soaking cunt to the cool air.
He dove between your legs like a man starved. It had been much too long, in Eddie’s humble opinion, since he’d gotten to taste you. Far too long since he’d gotten to hear the little whimpers of pleasure and feel your hips buck as he nibbled, sucked, and licked you to your peak.
Just as the familiar pressure started building in the pit of your stomach, a loud series of knocks came from the front door.
"No," Eddie groaned, the vibrations sent a delicious prickle through your body. "Can we just ignore it and wait for them to go away?"
It was really hard to concentrate when his nose was purposely rubbing against your clit. You exhaled, trying to distract yourself from the subtle heat in your belly. "It might be Max."
"It might not be," he'd moved to kissing the crease in your thigh, his teeth and lips gently nipping the skin.
"You know Indie had a runny nose this morning."
"Pretty sure that's normal. They don't call them snot-nosed kids for no reason."
"Eddie,” you pushed his shoulder with your foot.
He huffed, reluctantly removing his head from between your thighs. "Fine. But someone better be dying."
"EDDIE!"
"You know what I mean," he pulled on a pair of sweat pants and grabbed his tee-shirt before heading to the front door.
-
You flopped your head back on the pillow, and counted the green glow in the dark stars Eddie had stuck on the ceiling in the shape of Andromeda. 5 big stars, 11 little ones. Eddie had chosen that constellation, saying he’d found it in a book on astronomy in the library one day and decided the stars needed a shape. He said that Andromeda was the most beautiful woman in all of ancient Greece and the constellation was fitting as you were even more beautiful than her; a fact which Eddie was very obviously unbiased about.
You heard the front door open and Eddie’s pissed voice. Okay, so it wasn’t Max at the door. You couldn’t hear any words, your ears only picking up on muffled voices. From his tone you guessed Eddie was attempting to end the conversation, when you suddenly hear a name you hated in high school: Shelley Keibler. That bitch that ruined your chance of becoming Homecoming Queen in senior year when she rigged the vote in her favour. Your mood suddenly soured.
The door slammed shut and footsteps made their way towards the bedroom. You sat up as Eddie walked in, pulling off his tee-shirt as he made his way over to the bed. “Who was at the door?”
“Dustin,” he collapsed against you, his hands finding purchase on your hips.
“The freshman who joined Hellfire? Why was he talking about Shelley Keibler?”
He groaned, his cheek flat against your bare stomach. There were other things he wanted to be doing that did not involve discussing a girl he knew you hated from high school. “He said she was flirting with me last week.”
You raised your eyebrow, “was she?”
“Yep,” he kissed the skin next to your navel, his fingers edging between your thighs. You clamped your legs shut and he frowned. “What?”
“Why was Shelley Keibler flirting with you?”
Eddie looked up at you through dark lashes, grinning knowingly. “Are you jealous?”
You scoffed, “of that bitch? ‘Course not.” He could always tell when you were lying, not that you were doing a good job of hiding it.
“Aw, baby,” he pouted, moving his way up your body. “She thought $20 for half an ounce was too steep. Tried to flatter her way into a discount.”
“Did she get one?”
“No. I made an extra $10 and bought you flowers,” he reached your face, planting a kiss on the corner of your mouth.
“Oh,” you looked over at your dresser where a vase of gerberas sat. They were beginning to wilt, but you couldn’t bring yourself to throw them away. He’d come home one day last week with them hidden behind his back, presenting the bunch to you for no reason whatsoever. He’d said he’d gotten them “because you deserve something almost as pretty as you."
He cupped your cheek, turning your face so you were looking in his eyes. “You know I love you, right? More than anything,” he tugged on your bottom lip with his thumb to stop you from biting it. “I love our life together. I love our little family. You’re it for me, sweetheart. I don’t want anyone else.”
“Eds,” you started, tears pricking at the corners of your eyes. As you moved to place a kiss on the closest part of his skin you could reach, his wrist, his hands moved to grip your thighs.
“Now can we please fuck? I’ve been thinking about railing you all week.”
You shut your eyes, the tears instantly drying. “Really? You were being so sweet and then you had to go and ruin it.”
“I’ll ruin you,” he countered, a toothy grin contradicting the dirty undertones of his words.
“I’d like to see you try.” You knew he could do it easily. He’d done it so many times before; left you a blathering cock drunk mess as he coaxed yet another orgasm from your shaking body. But Eddie loved a challenge and you knew how to tease him to get what you wanted.
“Are you doubting my abilities?” His palms splayed against your thighs, spreading them open so he could admire your glistening cunt. “Still wet?”
He used two fingers to part your folds, watching as a mixture of your arousal and his saliva dripped onto the sheets below. “I really didn’t mean to edge you before. Fucking Henderson ruins everything.” He pursed his lips as he decided his next move, his thumb putting the slightest amount of pressure on your clit. “I reckon you’ve earned an orgasm, don’t you think?”
“Yes,” you moved your hips, hoping to create some friction against his hand.
He obliged, sinking two fingers deep inside. You gasped when he curled them upwards, hitting just the right spot that ignited a fire in your belly.
Eddie knew exactly how your body worked, he’d tested every set of moves on you over the years and gotten the right combination that had you twisting and squirming beneath his hands. He attached his lips to your clit, sucking and flicking his tongue, causing delicious white hot pain to sear down your legs, leaving pins and needles in your feet.
Your eyes were screwed shut, your chest heaving as you tried to hold off the mounting pressure, you knew the longer you held out, the more intense the pleasure would be. You gripped his hair, needing something to ground you to this moment as your back arched off the bed. You couldn’t take much more, his constant assault leaving your brain foggy and empty, the urge to let go too desperate.
“Fuck, Eddie, yes,” you cried out through shuddering gasps.
The release hit you with an intensity you hadn’t felt in a while, your mind instantly blanking to a white slate as Eddie helped you ride out your high.
“Baby?” His voice sounded muffled, like he was standing at the end of a long, echoing tunnel. “Sweetheart?”
You opened your eyes, the room blurry like you were looking down the lens of an unfocused camera. You rubbed your eyes, feeling tears lining your lashes.
“There she is,” he pushed back your hair, stroking your cheekbone with his thumb. Your vision came back to focus and you saw Eddie looking at you in adoration.
“That was intense,” your voice was croaky. It had been a while since you’d had an orgasm that was drawn out and powerful. Usually they were rushed and you never got to fully experience them.
“Are you okay? Do you want some water?”
“I’m good,” you took a second to breath before you reached out to grab his hips. “Very good.” Your hand reached inside his boxers to find he was rock hard. “Did I turn you on?”
“You were doing that sexy gasp you do and moaning my name. Of course that’s going to turn me on.” You allowed your fingertips to trace the prominent vein along the underside of his cock.
“And let me guess, now you want to rail me.”
“Please,” he dragged the word out, peppering your neck with kisses. “Been thinking about it for so long.”
You let out a breathy laugh, pulling his boxers down his thighs. When they slid to his ankles, he kicked them off. “Do you want me to ride you?”
“I’ll cum in a second if you’re on top and that would be tragic for my ego.”
You wrapped your legs around his waist as he dragged the tip of his cock between your folds, groaning at the sweet schlicking sound made by your wetness. Your breath hitched as the head brushed over your sensitive clit, the gasp turning into a moan as he pushed slowly into your cunt.
“Jesus, baby,” he pushed in further and you tried to relax your muscles, feeling your walls fluttering around him. When he finally entered fully in, he stopped for a moment, pressing a kiss to your damp forehead. “God, we’re made for each other.”
It felt heavenly to be so full and stretched out around his cock, and his words were so sweet, eyes hazy with love and admiration for you. But right now you need him to fulfil his promise and fuck you. “Fucking hell, move!”
“Right, sorry sweetheart, you’re just so beautiful and I love seeing you under me-”
You arched your back, grinding your hips against him, “I swear to God.”
He rocked his hips back before slamming forward, your skin slapping together where your bodies met. You gripped onto his back, his skin blanching as your fingertips dug into the corded muscles.
The pace he’d chosen to set, quick and bruising, would wear anyone out, but he managed to maintain it for a good few minutes before he began panting in your ear.
“Baby I don’t think I’m going to last much longer with you squeezing around me.”
“I can’t help it, you feel so good,” he was hitting just the right spot deep within you. Your hand moved to your clit, rubbing the sensitive bundle as you felt the tingling pressure building.
Eddie buried his face in the crook of your neck, nipping at the skin to stop his shuddering breaths. You could feel his thighs begin to tremble, the telltale sign he was close.
Your fingers quickened around your clit, your other hand moving to squeeze his balls as his thrusts moved out of rhythm.
“Oh fuck, babe, shit, yes,” he jerked inside you and you could tell he wouldn’t last much longer. With the way he was gasping in your ear, you wouldn’t either.
“Eddie, baby, just a little longer, I’m almost there,” you breathed, the pressure in your stomach reaching a fever pitch.
It was his moan, you think, that sent you over the edge. The throaty sob that racked through his entire body. The way his hair was stuck to his forehead, the veins in his neck prominent when he threw his head back as he came. It was angelic in the dirtiest way possible.
He collapsed against you and you rubbed his back as he came down from his high. His skin was hot and clammy, your fingertips drawing abstract shapes along his spine.
After a few minutes, Eddie grabbed his tee-shirt from the end of the bed, placing it underneath you before he pulled out.
“Ugh, that’s gross,” you groaned, watching as his cum dripped out of you, pooling on the ratty tee-shirt.
“What, it’s going in the wash anyway,” he stood up and stretched, pulling the tee-shirt out and folding it over itself, using the sleeve to wipe himself. He disappeared from the bedroom and you heard the washing machine lid open.
He did it every time. Even though you’d put a hand towel on the dresser specifically for that purpose, he always went for whatever band tee-shirt he was wearing prior to stripping off. He came back with a damp washcloth and a glass of water, which he placed on your nightstand. You mumbled a “ thanks,” and took a sip, the cold water instantly revitalising you from your post-sex sleepy haze.
“Push up,” he instructed as he wiped the washcloth between your legs and the inside of your thighs. He was gentle, careful not to put too much pressure on the sensitive area as he cleaned. “There. Perfect as always,” he placed a kiss above your pubic bone.
-
The two of you stripped the bed and changed the sheets, loading up the washing machine to full capacity. Then you took a shower together, washing each other as you alternated who stood under the water stream of the shower/tub combo. Eddie bent down, letting you wash his hair with your expensive vanilla coconut shampoo, the scent of which he loved. You then picked out the comfiest clothes in your wardrobe and hoped back in bed.
It was moments like this that you cherished. When the two of you were quiet, both basking in the comfortable afterglow, and enjoying each other’s company. Alone together. Eddie was sitting between your legs as you leant against the headboard, his hands running over the clean floral sheets. He was resting against you, his shoulder blades flush against your chest, his eyes shut as you played with his hair.
You hadn’t even realised your fingers were absentmindedly passing damp strands over one another until he asked, “are you braiding my hair?”
You looked down, a french braid beginning to form on his head. “Huh, apparently I am.”
The first time you had braided his hair was soon after you’d started dating. He’d gotten too drunk after a gig and you hadn’t wanted to spend your night holding his hair back over the toilet, so you’d braided it to keep it out of his face. When he woke up the next morning he told you he loved it and spent the whole morning running his fingers over the bumps. Braids quickly became one of Eddie’s love languages; whenever he got a little too tipsy, sleepy, sick, or he’d had a bad day, he’d beg you to braid his hair. Since Indie had come into your lives, you hadn’t had much time for soft moments between you two, but Eddie still sat in the bathroom and watched you braid your daughter’s hair every morning before you dropped her off at daycare. “Is it pretty?”
“You’re always pretty, Eds,” you knew he liked that answer by the faint hum of approval he made. Not that you were lying, Eddie was beautiful. You reached for a hair tie off the nightstand, securing the braid in his hair. “There you go, baby boy.” You gave the braid a tug, placing a soft kiss on his cheek.
“Wait,” he tilted his head, catching your lips with his, his hand reaching up to cup your cheek. You let out a content sigh, your arms draping over his shoulders as you relaxed into the kiss.
“I can’t wait until we have our own room again.”
“I know, it’s been way too long since you’ve woken me up with a BJ.”
“Oh, so that’s what you’re expecting when we move into the new house, huh? Morning head?”
The pair of you had finally saved up enough money to rent a small two bedroom house, which you were planning on moving into next week. Your current living situation, which involved Indie sleeping in a crib at the end of your bed, was far from ideal. The new house offered you each your own room, something you and Eddie were incredibly excited about. Partly because your daughter talked in her sleep (which you both agreed was adorable, if not somewhat annoying), but mostly because it afforded you the opportunity to have sex whenever you want.
“What can I say, I’m easy to please.”

A/N: just a quick fluff one-shot to get me back online. happy August and fellow Leo season.
————————————————
“Please!” He begs for the umpteenth time. “Just one picture! I just wanna see one!”
“No! Mum look at me, all albums will be burned if you show anything.”
My family chuckles at my persistence but I was serious. Bringing home my uni boyfriend was going good so far. The only thing I had to avoid was him seeing pictures of me as a child.
“She had braces, even had to wear the headgear sometimes.” My brother teases.
“Shut up!” I glare.
“Yeah and she was obsessed with dolphins so anything she wore had them. And if they didn’t—mom didn’t she have these pictures you ironed on for her.”
“Oh!” Mom gasps. “I remember! The patches, the dolphin patches she bought from that one store um-“
“Remember when she wanted a mole so bad like Aunt Jess that she drew one on.”
“No way, I need to see the proof.” Harry grins, taking in my humiliation like a chilled glass of wine.
“She did it the whole summer until I told her it looked like shit on her face.” My brother says. “It was a kindness now that she looks back right yn?”
“Oh aren’t you Mother Teressa.” I mock. I didn’t want Harry to see me like this either—bothered and acting childish with my brothers but I had to pick and choose my battles here.
“Ok lay off her now boys, let us enjoy the pie your mum made.” My dad swoops to my rescue and I give him an appreciative smile.
“Daddy’s girl.” My brother mutters. Mom scolds him but she’s biting back a laugh. Ugh my family was infuriating.
Since we’d arrived late, right before dinner, Harry hadn’t seen my childhood bedroom so once we’re done around the table we head upstairs.
In between dinner and dessert I’d rushed up with an excuse for the loo and made sure to hide any evidence of my face between the ages of 5-16 in my room.
Now, I give Harry a tour of my childhood bedroom.
“I can imagine you sitting here sketching,” Harry brushes his hand along the oak desk dad had built for me in year 4 and has sat against the window since.
So much of my history lived in all these objects. I was happy that Harry could see it all laid out here, know the past parts of me he couldn’t exactly meet.
Not that he needed to see physical copies of all my past parts.
“And this is my shrine to Jesse McCartney.” I open the top drawer meant for pencils and small items but instead a poster of his face was glued down and tiny trinkets laid around including the ticket from the I went to one of his performances.
“So this is your man on the side. Keeping him tucked away at home hm?” Harry tugs the drawer more to reveal all of my teenage crazy.
“I was obsessed. He’s still a very attractive man.”
“That’s weird.”
“What? That he’s attractive?”
“No, he looks nothing like me.”
“Why would he-“ I roll my eyes when I realize what he’s getting at. “Well you should be flattered you don’t look like my childhood celeb crush. That’d be creepy.”
“I think this is a little creepy.” Harry crosses his arms and leans against the table. I take him in where he stands; he felt so much bigger than my childhood bedroom.
“It’s what teenage girls do. Ask your sister I’m sure she had one of these too.”
“So you’re okay showing me this,” Harry tugs my hand. “But not any pictures of you-“
“No. That’s not happening.”
“I promise I’ll still love you.”
“They’re just embarrassing!” I whine. “I always had a phase I was going through. I don’t want you to see any of them.”
“Why?” He cups my face. “It makes you interesting! I showed you the phase where I spiked my hair every day and thought I was in a boy band.”
“Your hair didn’t even spike,” I laugh into his chest, remembering the photo I had taken a copy of with my phone. His hair had looked like he woken up and taken a chainsaw to it.
“See you’re allowed to laugh at me!”
“Nooo,” I wrap my arms around his waist. “No photos. Now subject change: we’re meeting all my friends tomorrow so what do you want to do today?”
“I can crash.” Harry says. He brushes my hair back and gives my head a kiss. “Driving for 4 hours was more tiring than I thought.”
“Okay,” I was fine with cuddling and going to bed even though it was only 9. As long as I was with Harry, everything felt fun. We’d been dating for over a year now and I loved him in a way I never loved boyfriends from the past. I think he was the real deal.
We lie on my small bed and talk until we doze off. The next morning we wake to the smell of breakfast and my parents spoil us with food and laughter.
I give Harry a tour of my hometown before we meet with my friends from school. Everyone and their partners love Harry and I can’t help but beam as he fits seamlessly into the other half of my life.
He catches my eye every now and then and the smile he gives me makes me fall in love with him all over again.
After an evening spent with family at home and another early night, Harry and I head out to go back to uni the following morning.
Goodbyes are long and multiple hugs are involved all around.
As we settle in and head back onto the motorway, Harry points to the sun visor.
“Sun in your eye?”
“No?”
“Why don’t you flip it down?”
“It’s not?” I look him over. Was he okay?
“Just flip it down yeah? In case.”
“Okay?” I slowly flip the visor down and I gasp. “How could you?”
His laughter fills the car as I stare in horror. Tucked into the mirror is a school picture of me, probably Year 6. My braces are full on while I grimace-not even smile-into the camera. I’m wearing a tie-dye dolphin shirt with dolphin clips in my hair. My hair is in plaits except one of them is already fallen out; I’d probably been rough on the playground. It’s all topped off by a silver chunky chain I’d stolen from my brother—thinking it was real silver and would make me look cool.
“It’s my favourite picture of you,” Harry plucks it off and I realize I should have nabbed it while he was laughing. “I don’t think anything can top it really.”
“Harry I beg you to give that back.”
“Nope.” Harry pops the p with joy. He tucks it into his shirt pocket.
“Harry!”
“I love you. Looking at the picture just makes me love you more.” He glances over at me and pats my thigh. “Can you smile like that for me?”
“This is so unfair!” I cross my arms and face the front. “Who betrayed me?!”
“My lips are sealed.” He was having too much fun. I would get my family to crack—dad would probably tell me. Unless it was him.
“I’m gonna go for her for Halloween.” Harry says, trying to get through my wall of silence.
“Fine.” I sit up with an idea and flick through my phone for the picture I’d been keeping. “I’ll go as him.”
I wait for Harry to look over at me and gloat when his face falls.
“You’re not supposed to have a copy of that!”
“Well. We’re even now.”
I plant a sweet kiss on his cheek, feeling better already.
“You’re so lucky I’m driving.”
“You’re lucky or I would have wrestled that photo away from you ages ago.” I say and Harry looks at me skeptically. “I grew up with brothers don’t underestimate me.”
“Fine. Fine. We’re even.” Harry agrees. “And for the record. I love you. And I love her too.”
It’s true that what he says thaws me a little, the little girl in me, but I don’t let it show right now. I just look out the window and mumble a love you too. His hand comes down on my thigh and, still looking out the window, I intertwine our fingers. He could drive me crazy but it was true for me too. As much as I laughed at his photo, I loved him and that little boy too.
“You’re never visiting my parents ever again.” I tell him.
His only response is bringing our hands to his mouth.
I melt in my seat a little.
Whatever.

Blind!Danny AU
Danny feels the blanket on his lap, the rough texture feeling so much worse compared to before. Jazz had just informed him that he will have to go to school tomorrow, that his absences due to the… accident are no longer going to be excused. The thought of why he had been absent makes him whimper and curl into a ball.
‘Come on Danny it will just be for a second!’ Sam's black hair waves in her rocking motion of excitement.
‘Right! If you don’t want to be the one to step into it I can’ Tucker looks up from his pda with a wide smile.
‘No! I will do it… Neither of you have hazmat suits.' Danny stated as he pulled on his gloves, a frown gracing his face. 'I just think this isn't going to turn out well… even if the portal doesn't work something else could happen. I don't know if everything my parents worked on in here is safe to be around.'
'Ghosts don't even exist, for all we know this 'ectoplasm' your parents bought of that weird guy in a trenchcoat at that London convention they dragged you too last month was jello water with green food coloring.' Sam leant forward, her right hand on her hip as she waved the other hand in a flippant manner.
Danny sighed but agreed with Sam even though his stomach twisted in anxiety. After confirming with his two friends that the camera was on he stepped up to the metal frame of the project his parents have worked on his entire life. He couldn't believe that the one thing his parents truly prioritized over all else didn't do a thing.
'Sam, is this far enough in?' The ravenette says after he takes three steps in.
'Just two more steps then turn to face us!' She was looking over Tucker's shoulder to see the camera screen from where it was held in front of his face.
"Danny?" A familiar voice brings him back to the present with a jolt. His head snaps to face the voice with a crack. Distantly Danny can feel his nails pierce the fabric clenched in his grip as he tries to identify who it is that wants his attention.
"Danny…" He can hear the voice hitch with a sob that tries to hide itself with a sigh. "I didn't mean to startle you."
"You didn't startle me." Danny denies that he was startled in any way, denies that he can still feel his pulse in his throat and that truly being unable to see anything was so vastly different to closing your eyes or walking into a room untouched by any form of light. That darkness could not be so far from sightlessness that even comparing the two was impossible.
"If you say so." Jazz let the obvious lie slide past as she found her spot on Danny's left. She had taken to always taking place in the same area when visiting Danny. He knew it was so he never had to guess where she was to push her or pull her into a hug for comfort. "Have Mom and Dad visited you yet today? Mom said she was going to have lunch with you."
"They didn't come today either." Every day their parents would tell Jazz that they would visit Danny at some time and everyday Danny would have to come to terms with it being pushed off once again. Some new discovery blossoming within the lab or some new problem with a project not responding with the ecto they harvested.
"I am sure they will show up tomorrow." Jazz placed a hand on Danny's shoulder as she tried to comfort her younger brother. "I am sure once they settle in with being able to unlimitedly interact with Ghosts they will start having more time with us."
Danny nodded and leaned into Jazz's touch. He doubted it would change as the state of things haven't even wavered within the ten days he's spent at the hospital. Maybe once he returns home their parents will be able to spare time with him.
The Dr.'s Fenton had not left the basement since they were told their son was stable and going to adequately make a recovery. The doctors were not pleased to have to tell a seventeen year old highschool student the important details of Danny's state. Jazz made sure to copy down notes of what to do so Danny could be comfortable at home and how to help him adjust.
"Jazz…?"
"Yeah, Danny?"
"I'm not getting my sight back."
"Yeah, one of your nurses pulled me aside before I came in today."
"The nerves are too fried to ever recover. I won't get to be an astronaut Jazz. I won't ever get to see the stars again."
"I am so sorry Danny…" Jazz pulled her little brother into a hug. She wished for anything she could do to solve this for her little brother. The teen knew that no matter what she did she couldn't fix Danny's eyes, she couldn't turn back time to stop her little brother from stepping into that portal. She couldn't do anything and it burned in her chest, the uselessness and futility of her rage, it burned hot and fierce under her ribcage. The feelings scorched her heart and made it twinge with every beat.

ROADIE — TREVOR ZEGRAS
dad! trevor zegras x fem! reader
summary: in which your baby says her first word while Trevor is on a roadie.
warnings: pet names?
notes: i wrote this in about 2 hours and it was not proofread. so for all i know, this could be absolute trash.
Tumblr media
“mama. can we say mama?” i probably looked like a crazy person, bent over the front of the cart, talking to my 10 month old in the grocery store with a rats nest of hair and wearing leggings with a heavily stained oversized Anaheim Ducks t-shirt. and the usual stares over being a 21 year old mom aren’t helping.
this has been the first time since Addy was born that no one was staying with me while Trevor is on a roadie, and it’s been a bit harder than i anticipated. it’s been exhausting because although Addy is delaying with her words, she excelled with her other milestones. namely walking. she took her first steps about two weeks ago and has been toddling about the apartment ever since, so life has turned into a fun little ‘where’s waldo?’ game every time i turn around for the past two days. she’s also going through a sleep regression, so she’s waking up every hour again, which leaves me with little to no time to sleep or shower or do anything besides dote on her. and then, of course, when i opened the cupboard this morning, i realized we were on the last jar of baby food, so cue a trip to the store.
Addy just makes some babbling noises and scream laughs in my face, making me flinch and straighten back up.
“alright duckling, i hear you loud and clear. let’s get checked out so we can go back home for some Bluey time, yeah?” i worked quickly and swiftly, scanning each glass jar of food at the self check out and bagging them based on vegetable, fruit, medley, or meal.
when i finally get out to the car and buckle Addy in, her little blue eyes, exact replicas of Trevor’s, sweep over my face as wide as saucers.
“can we try that again?” i make conversation as i finish buckling her car seat. “can you say mama? mama. mama.”
once again, my baby just stares back at me.
“or not. that’s cool too. you can totally not speak at all if you want. doesn’t matter to mommy, as long as you’re happy and healthy.”
with the grocery bags placed in the passengers seat, i start the drive back to the apartment.
when we get back, i turn the tv onto Bluey and set Addy in her jumper in the living room. giving myself some time to wash the dishes piling in the sink. about 10 minutes into it though, my phone starts ringing back in the living room. drying my hands on a dish towel, i walk the ten or so steps back to the couch and swipe at the answer button on my phone screen without even checking the caller id.
“hey babe!” Trevor’s face fills the screen in a facetime and his voice is like music to my ears.
“hi love! how was morning practice?” i use the remote sitting on the arm of the couch to pause the tv show while i go sit beside the jumper so Trevor can see our beautiful baby.
“it was good! the sharks aren’t ready for us.” his face lights up as soon as Addy comes into the camera view.
“that’s great. i believe in y’all! show those fish who the real predator is!” his laugh at my joke brings a smile to my lips and i’m overwhelmed with gratitude that this is the man i’ll be vowing to spend the rest of my life with this summer.
“how’s daddy’s little duckling?! daddy’s so happy to see your pretty little face! yes, he is!” his baby talk oddly causes my heart to skip a beat. “dada misses you so much. i can’t wait to be home tomorrow night so i can kiss all over your tiny face.”
“duh- duh” Addy babbles and i smile at Trevor on the screen.
“we’re taking dada’s absence to try and learn the word mama, aren’t we baby?” i direct the end of my sentence to Addy, who’s still babbling sounds.
“that’s cheating!” Trevor’s whine is joking and he opens his mouth to say something else, but before he can get a word out, someone else does.
“dada.” my eyes go wide, Trevor’s copying, and we both avert our gaze to our 10 month old, who just said her first word. her chubby little fingers are making grabby motions towards my phone, straight at her father.
“that’s right babygirl! say it again! say dada!” Trevor is frantic and i can see tears welling in his eyes, even through the screen.
“you can do it baby! say dada!” i encourage her, my own tears falling freely down my cheeks.
“dada. dada!” she looks at Trevor and repeats the word before looking up at me. “dada.”
“oh my god, she did it Trev! she said her first word!”
“i know! i was so worried it wasn’t gonna happen! i mean, i would love her regardless, but she did it! and it was dada!” the smile he wears is breathtaking and wide.
“she misses you. so do i.”
“i miss you too, baby. i’ll be home tomorrow night.”
****
Trevor gets home tonight and i have not gotten a reprieve from the endless shouts of dada, all morning. at the moment, Addy is wobbling down the hallway towards Trev and i’s room for the fifth time today, repeatedly shouting “dada! dada!”
i can’t be for certain, but i have a feeling she keeps assuming he’s in our room and is calling out for him. she’s definitely a daddy’s girl, although that’s not a surprise because she has been since she was born.
i’m currently trailing behind her, recording a video. after a few seconds, i scoop her up into my arms and send the video to Trevor.
-
to: Trev Swift
**video attachment**
she’s been doing this all day. babygirl is looking for her dada!
from: Trev Swift
oh my little duckling! be home in 2 hours
-
i blow raspberries on her cheek and readjust her on my hip.
“daddy will be home soon! isn’t that exciting?! i’m thinking playpen time until then.” i stop beside the pack n’ play set up in the living room already stocked with a few teething toys and blocks, and set Addy inside. i put some Mickey Mouse on the tv and sit on the couch, grabbing the book i’m currently reading off of the side table.
about 30 minutes later i notice it’s been suspiciously silent and look over to Addy, only to find her napping. i smile at the sight of my sleeping daughter, and go back to reading my book.
before i even realize how much time has passed, i hear the front door opening and a thud hit the ground. Trevor’s home. i bookmark my page and snap my book shut, leaping up from the couch and making my way towards the front of the apartment, meeting Trev in the dining room.
“hi, baby.” his arms snake around my waist and he leans down to plant a kiss on my lips. “where’s Addy?”
“napping. she passed out in the playpen about an hour and a half ago.” i slip my arms around my fiancé’s neck, laying my head on his chest. “how were your trips?”
“eh. they were fine. but i missed my girls.”
we pull back and share one more kiss, this one a little deeper, before the sound of Addy’s cries drifts towards us from the other room.
“you wanna get your daughter? i need a shower.”
“oh so now she’s my daughter?” he laughs as we walk into the living room. a big smile graces his lips and he scoops Addy up and into his arms. “hey babygirl! daddy’s home and he’s not going anywhere any time soon.”
“dada!” Addy shouts and slaps both her tiny palms onto his cheeks, squishing his face.
“yeah, duckling. dada.”

PLEASE can we get more of Auston in the hospital after being forced out of Carson’s room? 😩 literally anything
omg omg ok so instead of posting screenshots below is a direct copy and paste from my docs hehehe. It's also almost 2k words so not short hahaha enjoy! pls let me know what you think! (maybe I'll get some inspo to finally update AFTR)
Auston was hunched over in the waiting room chair with his hands stressfully gripping his hair as he stared at the grey tile flooring, still processing what he was told about what was happening with Carson. It’d only been 10 minutes since he’d been forced out of the hospital room and only five since Carson’s doula and a nurse got him up to speed, but it felt like a lifetime of hell.
What was he supposed to do? He’d never felt so useless in his life than he did just sitting there waiting to hear if Carson was going to make it. If the blood transfusion was successful and if they did it in time. Auston couldn’t even think about the chance they were too late.
With a deep breath, he sat up then leaned back into the rundown recliner he sat in, still staring at the floor. The room he was in was quiet, instead of a usual waiting room, this one was smaller as it was meant only for family members of patients in the hospital. He was thankful to be the only person in there as he processed everything, but also felt so incredibly alone.
“What am I going to do?” Auston whispered to himself, sighing as he let himself wallow in self-pity for another moment before his phone buzzed in his pocket. It made him jump slightly, seeing as with everything that just happened he hadn’t even thought to check his phone, but since he was stuck waiting, he figured he should.
Auston unlocked his phone to see that it was his mom who texted him saying “Niñita was missing you and Carson, but she’s pretty content watching Bluey with the next best thing.” The message itself was enough for Auston to let himself relax. He knew it was about Mia seeing as the message contained the nickname that only his mom called her and that was enough to ground him a bit. However, for the first time in what felt like forever, even though it’d only actually been just over 10 minutes, Auston smiled when his phone buzzed again as it received a picture.
In the photo, Mia was cuddled up right against Auston’s dad as they sat on the couch together. Her curls were messy where she leaned against her Pa while she had her arm wrapped against Whaley, who was of course part of their cuddle session. It was so simple. A sight Auston had seen many times before because Mia loved cuddling with her grandparents, but at that moment, seeing such a thing gave him a sense of normalcy. And Auston needed that.
The next thing Auston knew, he was reaching the top of his phone screen with his thumb, pressing his mom's contact so that the option to call her would appear. Once it did, Auston pressed the call button and took a breath. Ema answered almost instantly.
“Is he here?” Ema asked, excitement lacing her voice regarding her new grandchild being born and suddenly Auston’s chest felt heavy again.
“He’s here,” Auston spoke softly. “He’s perfect.”
“Oh, Auston, I’m so proud of you. We can’t wait to come meet him. How are you? How’s Carson?”
Auston took a shaky breath.
“Um, not good, Mom,” his voice cracked as he choked on his words. “Really bad, actually.”
“What do you mean?” Ema questioned, sounding so concerned. “Is Carson ok?”
“No, she, uh, she had a postpartum hemorrhage shortly after Carter was born. She went into shock and was losing a lot of blood so they’re currently doing an emergency blood transfusion but they have no way of knowing if they were too late or if it will be enough. I- I don’t know what to do, Mom. I feel so useless right now, she just has to be ok. I just- I need her. I can’t do this without her.”
Auston was sobbing by that point and could hear how Ema gasped on the other end of the phone. But despite that shock, Auston was sure she felt, it didn’t take long for Ema to respond.
“Hang tight, ok? Me and your dad will be there soon.”
“No, Mom, I don’t think Mia should be here,” Auston explained while sniffling and wiping away his tears. “Not right now while all this is happening. It’d be too much for her. I need her to stay with you guys.”
“Auston, we can’t just let you be alone right now,” Ema tried to reason. “I know your sisters will be fine to watch Mia if you want her to stay home. But I’m not letting you go through this kind of thing by yourself.”
Auston sighed, knowing he could use the support of his parents to lean on.
“Can I talk to her, please?”
“Mia? Of course, one second. I’ll put it on FaceTime so she can see you.”
“Ok,” Auston smiled because he wanted nothing more than to see his little girl. Quickly, he wiped away any stray tears and tried to hide the fact that he’d been crying before he was met with the beep of the phone call ending followed by the buzz of the incoming FaceTime. When he answered, the camera was right on Mia, still cuddled up next to her grandpa and focused on the TV, not realizing who was on the phone. Suddenly, everything felt lighter and less intense for Auston. “Hi, baby girl.”
Mia’s eyes lit right up at the sound of Auston’s voice and was quick to look at the phone and smile when she saw him on the screen.
“Daddy!” Mia greeted excitedly, then let out a yawn. It was nearing her bedtime after all.
“Are you watching your show with Pa?”
“Yeahhhhh.”
“What show?” Auston asked, already knowing the answer, but it didn’t matter.
“Bwuey,” Mia stated as a matter of fact. Despite struggling to pronounce L’s and R’s, Mia always tried her best to say them. It made Auston smile even more.
“Your favourite.”
Mia hummed and nodded in response then looked down and started fiddling with one of Whaley’s fins. “I see Mommy?”
Auston’s heart dropped.
“Mommy can’t come to the phone, baby,” Auston explained, earning himself a questionable glance from his daughter. “She’s, uhm, she’s with the doctor right now.”
“Mommy ‘kay? Comin’ home?”
Auston took a breath to try to keep himself level-headed and heard Ema ready to intervene if needed from where she was holding her phone off camera. But Auston didn’t want Mia upset over anything, so he wanted to handle this.
“She’s going to be okay,” he assured, mainly to convince himself that what he said was true. “Me and Mommy are going to be home real soon, mini. I promise.”
Mia blinked, unconvinced, and her expression showed concern as she furrowed her eyebrows and formed a pout on her lips. “Why sad, dada?”
It wasn’t until then Auston realized he was crying again and how it was worrying Mia. He was quick to wipe the tears away again.
“I’m just having a tough day, sweetheart,” Auston told her honestly and let out another breath. “And I miss you a whole lot. Daddy may be sad, but you make me feel better. I love you so, so much, Mia. And I know your Mommy does too. Don’t you worry about me, ok? But, Daddy has to go, baby. I’ll call you tomorrow but for now, you finish watching Bluey and then I think it’s bedtime. I love you.”
“Love yew, dada.”
After Mia and Auston both blew each other kisses goodbye, Auston could hear his mom asking Alex to sit with Mia while she and his dad talked to Auston privately. He stayed silent while, assumedly, Ema picked up the phone and made her way to the kitchen while still on FaceTime. A moment later, Auston could tell the phone was propped up against something because he was looking at both of his parents while his dad glanced between him and Ema confused.
“What am I missing? Did something happen to Carson?” Brian asked, noticeably trying to keep his voice low so that Mia wouldn’t hear. “And the baby. What is going on?”
Ema then looked at Auston, silently asking him if he wanted to tell his dad or if he wanted her to. Auston didn’t have it in him to go over it all again, he could already feel the tears welling yet again. So, he nodded and Ema knew what that meant. She then told Brian everything Auston had told her.
“Oh, my god,” Brian said once Ema was finished and shook his head in disbelief. “Auston, I’m so sorry. And you haven’t heard anything about Carson’s status?”
“No, it-it hasn’t been that long since it all happened,” Auston explained. “The nurse I was talking to before I came in here said no one will know for at least a couple of hours. It all depends on that blood transfusion if Carson’s body takes it well and if they weren’t too late doing it. Fuck what about her family? I gotta tell them what’s happening. I need to call her dad.”
“I can call Joel, Auston,” Brian replied. “Don’t put too much on yourself right now. This isn’t an easy situation to be in, no one expects you to handle it perfectly. You’re just trying to navigate it all.”
“Thanks, Dad, but, he’s my father-in-law. I think he should hear it from me and that’s ok. I know he, Nate and Mya are going to try to get here as quickly as possible once they know. And Mitch. God, how am I going to tell Mitch?”
Auston inhaled deeply as a way to keep the inevitable feeling of his chest getting heavy again at bay, but it was useless. This was one of the worst things he’d ever experienced.
“We can figure out how to approach this all together,” Ema spoke up. “But, Auston, as your dad said, don’t put too much on yourself. This is a traumatic thing and you need to take care of yourself. Either your dad or I will be there soon, ok? The other will stay here with Mia for the time being and we can rotate. But, Mijo, where’s the baby? You should be with him. Both of you need each other in a time like this.”
“Carter,” Auston responded softly. “We named him Carter. You’re right, though. I want to go find him. With everything that happened to Carson, they wanted to make sure he was ok and wasn’t affected during birth. I’ve just been such a mess since I didn’t even realize I hadn’t gotten an update on Carter or told where he is. I need to see my son.”
“Yes, go find Carter,” Ema said. It was obvious she was feeling a lot of emotions too but was keeping it together for Auston’s sake. “He needs you.”
“And one of us will be there soon,” Brian stated. “Once Mia is asleep, we both will be. We’re not letting you be alone.”
“I love you guys,” Auston told them. “Thank you, for everything. I’m going to go find Carter. Let me know when you’re here, please.”
“Of course.”
After saying goodbye, Auston hung up his phone and sat in silence for a moment just to calm himself down. Then, once he recollected himself a bit, he got out of the chair and exited the family room so he could go find Carter.

Re watching haikyuu for the sixteenth time and I can't stress enough how good the ships are and how original the characters are as well.
Like-
Let's take Karasuno alone.
Daichi's design couldn't be any more plain and yet people see his thighs and go "Daddy~" as if man wasn't a copy paste of any background character in the history of anime.
But here's the thing. Even if he is, he also isn't?????? We got the strong protective dad figure but they also added him the good cop bad cop personality (whether he scolds Asahi or anyone else).
We got Suga, who again couldn't have a less plain design and yet he is???? So much???? He's not only the "kind and soft character", he is the mom figure, the wind of fresh air, the one that competed against Kageyama for his place as setter, the one who made OIKAWA interested, he's a devious little shit in most fanfictions and I fucking love how "not so obvious" he is as a character.
Then we got Asahi. The king giant is a clichè that I didn't think would work here, but when you give a man THAT HAIR, A MAN BUN AND A LIL BIT OF BEARD and STILL make him the Ace and HAVING SUCH A COMPLEX RELATIONSHIP WITH NOYA - holy shit, don't get me started on Noya - well, the game changes.
I don't even have to point out Noya. His existence carries the whole show. Congrats to haikyuu for being the only anime with Nishinoya You.
But what really solds the whole thing together is how the characters interact with each other. I mean, we all love the "dad and mom" of the friend group, but who the fuck expected the kind giant and the loud short storm to have such a complex relationship??? Who expected everyone to be so fond of Suga, who expected Daichi to be mean only to ASAHI out of ALL people?????
Who expected Tanaka to be more than the fun one that brings chaos whenever he opens mouth? Who expected him to be such a HUGE presence and leaving a great mark on the first years, especially Hinata to the point he inherited his number???
I am so. Fucking. Sold. To this anime, and I will never stop ranting about the most random detail about it. Period.
