La storia (come potete leggere nelle note) nasce da un prompt di JayBrd che mi era piaciuto da impazzire. In realtà ricordo che lei aveva parlato di Hannibal e Will che per qualche motivo si trovavano entrambi al BSHCI, meglio se Hannibal dietro alle sbarre e Will consulente, agente, in stile Clarice.

Mi sa che quella parte l’ho disattesa ampiamente, perché Will mi è subito diventato un inserviente (molto in stile Matthew Brown) e per ragioni da ricercare nella sua libido la storia è sfociata nel NSFW più di quanto mi aspettassi.

E forse più di quanto si aspettava JayBrd.

Siccome era sempre il periodo in cui stavo leggendo i libri avevo molto Hannibal in carcere da cui attingere e personaggi che potevano tornare utili come Barney e Miggs.

È un’altra di quelle storie scritte di getto, nel giro di pochi giorni, perché non riuscivo a smettere e l’ispirazione era costante. In più Will così pieno di iniziative è sempre un piacere da trattare, così come è un piacere trattare Hannibal ammanettato, impossibilitato a muoversi o ribellarsi. O meglio, è più un piacere per Will trattare con quell’Hannibal.

Perché un altro, l’ennesimo, mio caro tema è Will tanto oscuro quanto il suo compagno e che si innamora subito di lui proprio quando scopre chi è e cosa fa.

Ho reso Will un po’ il Matthew della situazione per caso, non proprio intenzionalmente, ma di Matthew mi era rimasta impressa proprio la sfacciataggine e l’adorazione che aveva per Will, quindi qualcosa di lui è entrato nel mio Will di questa storia.

E penso che quest’ultima frase faccia molto piacere a Matthew.

Will qui è sveglio, calcolatore, intelligente, senza rimorsi. Pensate ad un Will del genere accoppiato a Hannibal. Il mio sogno.

Per location e scene ho mischiato la serie al film Silence of the Lambs in modo da dare a Hannibal una fuga nuova di zecca in compagnia del suo Will. Una cosa che avrei amato vedere sullo schermo, ammetto, in modo molto più plateale di quello utilizzato; non Will che lo accompagna fuori, ma Will che spazza via tutto e tutti per portarselo via.

Siamo sempre lì. Nella serie poco ci azzeccava così l’ho scritto di mio pugno per evitare di lamentarmi senza motivazioni.

E poi ci ho messo un sacco di scene hot perché mancavano anche quelle. A Will pareva brutto lasciare Hannibal lì legato e non proporre niente per passare il tempo.

Sono abbastanza fiera anche della stesura di questa storia, tutto sommato. Mi trovo spesso ad essere più soddisfatta delle storie brevi, perché c’è meno su cui storcere il naso, immagino.

Quando lavoro su tanti capitoli mi ritrovo pienamente soddisfatta di due, forse tre capitoli al massimo, ma con le one-shot può succedermi di essere benedetta con qualcosa che funziona dall’inizio alla fine.

Poi magari mi mangio le mani perché alcune one-shot potrebbero essere l’intro a storie lunghe ed articolate. Ma quello è un altro discorso legato alla mia logorrea in campo narrativo.

In ballo non c’era più una prova culinaria, ma una dichiarazione per il futuro. I don't know what pisses me off more. The fact that Nex should have graduated and shouldn't have been harassed just because of who they are, or the fact that both the school and news are trying to cover up their death, and refusing to admit it was a serious hate crime against a literal child who is literally around my age just because they are trying to express themselves for who they are. I also hate that the news is misgendering them and deadnaming them. THIER name is NEX BENEDICT and THEY were a victim of a serious HATE CRIME. Get it right.

Rest in power, Nex. You deserve so much more than this.
