10 Jikook Fanfictions Part 1

I said I'd make a list before the end of the year and I kept my promise. Now, it's difficult to choose, especially when I have more than 300 bookmarks and unfortunately I also started doing that some year and a half ago. Safe to say, there's probably plenty of good fics I read that are now lost. Anyway, enough with the boring chit chat, here's 10 random jikook fics in no particular order and most likely, several other parts will follow, probably next year 😉

1. Dead in the Water

It's been a couple of years since I read this and honestly, I barely remember much, but what I do know it's that it had an impact on me. Usually fics that have death as a central theme end up resonating with me, but perhaps it's because I've always been attracted to more darker fiction. This one is gritty and there's a lot of pain and I must have cried a lot (those tend to stick in my head)

2. we're holding hands beneath the silver screen

I think this story is taking place in the 90s (you'll see that a lot of the fics I recommend are taking place in the past). I think I ended up reading everything ChimneyCricket wrote, but this one remained a favorite. Coming of age during a summer in Jeju in the 90s. Apart from the theme, it's the writing that made me stick with it.

I'm not the biggest fan of young adult stories. Or better yet, it's not something that I'd go to as a preference. When I do, it's more of an indulgence and thankfully, I found some writers (like this one) who can do a really good job with the genre.

3. Stockwell

Another writer that I've become a big fan of after reading one fic of theirs. And I think it might have been Stockwell that did it for me. I like that it's fanfiction with adult themes for an adult audience. And I also resonate with a lot of the cultural references and themes. I will also admit that this fic leaning into the enemies to lovers trope was a selling point because I'm a sucker for it. I can't help myself.

4. Burn for You

This is a complete self indulgence for me and I embrace it. Just like watching Bridgerton is a guilty pleasure for which I don't actually feel guilty (and the inspo for this fic). This story has everything and I must say the combination of lust, fear of revealing feelings, rumors, proper behavior and hidden romance is a lethal combination!

5. Light of a century

I might have recommended this story before, but it being inspired by Up on Poppy Hill is not just due to the plot, but the writing is able to evoke that studio Ghibli mood. This fic is to be read on a hot weekend afternoon.

6. Map of the Soul

This might be one of the most complex fanfictions I read due to the amount of research needed, but also in the depiction of political contexts and identity politics. Most of all, I like it because as much as relationships are a vital part of the story, there is an entire world surrounding the main characters. Events and other people that have also room to develop and not just remain props that advance the story.

7. Proceed with Caution

I don't know what snatchim did with this fic, but it's the only one I ever reread multiple times and I'll probably do it again in the future. I don't even reread books from my library, let alone fanfics. But Proceed with Caution did it for me. Perhaps it's because of the process of Jungkook inevitably falling for Jimin and even though it's a bad thing considering the context, it's so good. Maybe it's the image of Jimin with a bellybutton ring or maybe because the picture of hot Californian days in the 70s is so vivid, it feels like a nostalgic Paul Thomas Anderson movie.

8. Dishwater World They Said Was Lemonade

The description does not do this story justice because it's so much more than that. It's a canon compliant thriller with really complicated and complex characters and once again, a story meant for adults who understand that it's fiction. Unfortunately, judging by the comment section, a lot of people cannot distinguish betweem real people and characters. For those of you who might be fans of Korean thrillers, this story might be the one for you. It's also one of my favorite jikook fics as well.

9. souvlaki

Need I say more, considering the description? This is a self indulgence as well, but of a different kind. If I happily read tropey fics, I also like the ones that can sound like a uni course. Set during the 1997 FMI crisis in SK, any reader will get familiar with a socioeconomic and political perspective of that time through the eyes of the main characters. If you're only looking for romance, this one is not for you.

10. you wouldn't remember

I think littleflumes might be currently my favorite writer of canon compliant jikook. I think the author really captured their dynamic in its essence and the room left for fiction perfectly fills in the holes left in the last 2 years and up until the present. But what did it for me, not only with this story, but the others in the series as well, is that it's concentrated almost entirely on the two main characters, almost living in a bubble of their own in which their relationship can be explored.

My Jikook Journey

Part 2 of my intro.

From "multi-shipper" to "...wait a goddamn minute."

This will be a messy and detail-lacking overview because I could easily do an individual post on each thing I mention here and delve deeper (AMA!).

When I became an ARMY in 2018, I was excited about the treasure trove of fanfics now available to me. The ship didn't really matter, but my bias was/is Jimin (bias wrecker Tae then) so the very first fic I read was a vmin camping one (there was only one sleeping bag, gasp!). For me, shipping meant I'd read fanfics or save fanart of certain pairs together because in a fictional sense/in another universe, they make a good couple. I think this is a healthy approach, keeping that boundary between reality and fiction.

When I mentioned to my k-pop fan step-sister that I was reading vmin, she gave me a weird look. She said taekook is THE ship of BTS, which confused me because vmin seemed to be closer and have better chemistry than Tae and JK. Turns out, she was right. Searching by most kudos on ao3, you get a shit ton of taekook. I accepted it readily and just thought I must be missing something since I was a baby ARMY, so I read those super popular fics and started to enjoy taekook too. I started to focus more on them because... it felt like that was what I was supposed to do.

It's a common problem, isn't it? Baby ARMY who are open to shipping are quickly found and "guided" to taekook before they have a chance to glance in another direction. If they try, taekookers, who are the majority in the shipping sphere, will convince them that taekook is THE ship. Even if they aren't ARMY (my step-sister), they know that much. As a new fan, you just want to fit in, so you'll go along with what's most popular. Some people eventually find their own way, but many don't. Asking questions is vital, but if you do it aloud, you risk getting attacked by a small but extremely aggressive portion of the most infamous fanbase.

Even back then while just innocently reading any well-written fic I could get my hands on, I noticed that Jungkook was usually portrayed as a lot edgier and darker than he really was (manifested the 2023 JK aesthetic) and Taehyung was constantly portrayed as... Jimin. Especially in fan art. For some reason, a lot of the time, the appearance/vibe/personality of Taehyung was truer to Jimin than to himself, and that confused me. "Why not just make it Jungkook x Jimin?" I kept seeing them trying to force Taehyung into the dynamic that Jimin has with Jungkook when their own dynamic was perfectly fine.

Slipping down the pipeline, I started to watch taekook moments/analysis videos because I thought gotta be missing something, right? That's how I found out people are convinced they're dating, and it wasn't just a fun fic/art thing. The videos themselves were... something. There were just way too many red circles, too much slow-mo, and too much mind-reading going on for me to take any of it seriously. Plus, the moments that weren't exaggerated were just close friend skinship. Hell, Taejin were doing more sus shit together than taekook.

And yet people insist on taekook even when taekook do nothing to insist on themselves.

At this point, it was deep into 2019. Jikook were wilding in 2019. Even I was noticing all the... little things that made me raise an eyebrow. The touches that lingered just too long in rather intimate areas, the fond/awed looks at each other, the shameless flirting, the complete lack of physical boundaries, and the normalness of it all between them. That's telling. Even though I was mainly a taekooker with a shit ton of fanart and fics saved to my phone, if you looked at my liked YouTube videos around that time, I had jikook moments videos saved, not taekook, because their moments were just more fun/juicier to watch overall. They just interacted differently than they did with other members.

A quick example would be a video compilation of taekook holding hands. Sure, they're holding hands, maybe even interlocking fingers, but they're usually standing side by side and looking in different directions or just having a neutral expression. But if you watch a jikook one, not only is it much longer, but it's just different. I feel like I'm interrupting sometimes. Even in such a simple action like holding hands, there's a softness, an intimacy there that doesn't exist in taekook. Jikook wouldn't just be holding hands (usually for absolutely no reason), they'd be looking into each other's eyes, smiling sweetly, fully turned toward each other, attention completely captured by the other. How can I explain the look in their eyes? It just doesn't exist with vmin, yoonmin, jihope, etc.

Sidebar: All of those pairs have flirty/sus moments as most really close friendship dynamics do, but they're lighthearted to me and never invoked a true sense of.... whoa whoa whoa, hang on. If Jungkook and Jimin were my close friends IRL and I saw the way they are together, my alarms would go off. As either, "Oh my god, they're fucking," or "Oh my god, they wanna fuck each other." People always say, "Oh, Jimin's like that with everyone." No. No, he's not. Pay attention. Really pay attention to the differences in the dynamics between members. None of them have the "same" relationship. Especially pay attention to how the rest of the members react to Jikook.

Anyway,

So here I was noticing this... deeper intimacy in simple interactions with those two (because I'm a human being with eyes and life experience), and yet my Twitter timeline would just dismiss them entirely. "I love their friendship," "Wow their brotherhood is so beautiful," and "They're all so close," and normally these statements wouldn't bother me because technically they're true, but I started noticing that taekook or yoonmin would brush shoulders and everyone would be like, "Omg taekook/yoonmin married/boyfriends/real," over nothing. Their moments are cute/sweet/funny, but never more than that. The blatant hypocrisy did frustrate me a little, but ultimately I didn't overthink it; I didn't want to be delulu or look too deeply into anything because I still thought I must be missing something. Taekook is the most popular for a reason, right? Right?

But Taekook died for me when Tae told Taekookers to get out of their imagination. I respected that from him and took it at face value. It was the most aggressive shutdown of shipping we've ever had. I couldn't brush him off. It's disrespectful. He's uncomfortable.

Meanwhile, over the next couple of years, Jungkook and Jimin only got more suspicious in the minor interactions and in the big staple moments. Rosebowl. Hickeygate. Etc. Everyone was bending over backward trying to explain away the things these two did with each other, and it's always the same excuses. I was also trying extremely hard to think of any reason other than the simplest one because I didn't want to be delulu.

Because there was no way two members of a boyband were actually in a long-term relationship together. Especially in a conservative country.

Ridiculous. Unrealistic. Delulu.

I was basically telling myself in a mirror that they were just extra super duper close friends with muddy boundaries that meant sucking ears and giving neck hickeys was okay. I did allow there to be the thought that, maybe they're friends with benefits and that unavoidable intimacy now bleeds through into their regular interactions.

That opinion carried until 2023.

Isn't that funny?

2023.

The year so many jikookers gave up and bemoaned that those two weren't close anymore or had broken up is the year that finally convinced me.

What tipped me over?

Jungkook's vlives.

The way he kept watching videos of Jimin when he could just phone him. It reminded me of me watching Jimin, but I'm just a fan; I watch those videos because it's the only way I can appease my yearning to be close to and connected to Jimin, and absorb everything that he does or says or is.

Jungkook doesn't have that limitation, so why's he sitting there like a lovesick puppy with the fondest/most loving eyes when he could have Jimin over with just a call? Why's he sitting there looking like he's also yearning for something he can't have like us, the fans, when he can have it? He has Jimin's number. You don't need to watch yourself tease Jimin. You can just go do it. Just text him, bro.

It felt like he just wanted to bask in Jimin without interruption, without distraction, without having to force his attention elsewhere. Beyond being incredibly sweet, it also felt like Jungkook was making a statement, a point, because he kept doing it. Why? Is he somehow obsessed with his friend and bandmate whom he's seen almost every day for over a decade? If it was to promote him, he really didn't have to do all that? He didn't do it for the others, not to that extent.

Watching Jimin, talking about Jimin, singing Jimin's songs, fkn playing Letter on guitar. (The naked vlive flirting session? Lord, what.)

The man kept having vlives with a significant Jimin focus. He insisted on it enough times that it felt like he was trying to slap some sense into me. His insistence bothered me enough for me to finally do a deep dive into jikook.

Down the rabbit hole, I went. The more I learned, the more my jaw dropped. Where the fuck was all this info on my timeline when these motherfuckers were celebrating the most basic kpop boy interactions as if they were wedding vows? I even ended up seeing pictures/info we as fans were never meant to see at the bottom of that hole. If you know, you know.

Eventually, I ended up on this video (bless this fucking channel).

I want everyone to understand that I had zero knowledge of established relationship timeline theories. I went into this video blind, just trying to find the point in time when JK started to warm up to Jimin. That's not what I found. I found something so much better.

Especially 2013-2015 had me in awe. I think I cried. Jimin and Jungkook had a fattest, cutest mutual crush on each other. Absolutely. And because they were young, not that famous, and still rookies with media and camera training, we get a lot of insight into those two that we wouldn't get in later years when they learned how to mask and behave more "idol"-like. Jimin was especially loud, almost sadly loud. If you haven't watched the timeline of at least those early years, I implore you to. It actually blew my mind and broke/healed my heart. It's really bittersweet to see two teenage boys with little to no experience in anything romantic trying to come to terms with themselves while also coming to terms with each other. It's like watching a coming-of-age romance movie.

I saw clear shifts from when the relationship hit turning points in certain years. I proposed a timeline in my head based on that. Imagine my fucking surprise when I found out other people have also come up with timelines, and more surprising yet, they were all unbelievably similar to mine, down to what changed in what half of the year. I, who had no previous knowledge that this was even a thing. I just noticed it all on my own. We were all seeing the same thing. The same changes. No red circles, no slow-mo, no mind reading. It's all in the body language.

I panicked a little because overall it seemed too good to be true, so I reached out to a taekooker friend to send me her best evidence videos and receipts because I just had to make sure I wasn't going totally delulu here. I needed to see that the other biggest ship had interactions and moments on the same level with that same consistency, maybe even their very own relationship timeline to bring me back down to Earth. But... there's nothing. Really, there's nothing between taekook. Not one moment where I was like, oh? You'll find hours-long jikook content videos that are absolutely jam-packed with content, significant content, but that sort of depth just doesn't exist for taekook. Instead, you get conspiracy theories.

I watched most of the videos on that best of jikook channel and several other staple channels. It wasn't as if I bought into everything presented. I still rolled my eyes at many things that were blown out of proportion by some creators, and jikook isn't free from red circles and slow-mo and bullshit. And yet, I was still overwhelmed by the mountain of crisp receipts dumped on my head.

Jikook have much, much more solid evidence supporting the theory that they are together than evidence against it. I took the facts as they are, took my social experiences for what they are, took my psychology background for what it is, and concluded that they are most likely together, probability-wise. At the very least, they are the ONLY pair in BTS that have ANY legitimate possibility of being romantically involved. If jikook isn't real, then none of the other ships have any hope whatsoever, let's not kid ourselves. It's them or none of them.

They also have much, much more evidence that they are together than with any random man or woman you wanna throw at them. There needs to be valuable evidence or a total shutdown for me to tip the scale. I'm going to need Jimin or Jungkook to state, "I am not dating anyone at all," or "Get out of your imagination," or a bighit relationship announcement, or a clear video of lip-on-lip action or very intimate interaction with someone else.

Frankly, I don't give a single fuck about a grainy pic/video when it's 2023 and there's no excuse for that. I don't give a fuck who owns the same vase or cooking pots. I don't give a fuck if either of them hugged a woman. These are not evidence. These aren't even as good as the worst Jikook evidence.

At this point in time, Jikook is still the only viable option with the information we currently have available to us. This is my opinion and I stand by it.

At the end of the day, the thing I want most is for Jimin to be happy. Currently, it seems that Jungkook makes Jimin the happiest (as Jungkook says). As long as that holds true, I'll be here. If that changes at some point in time, I'd accept it.

But until that day comes, what the fuck else am I supposed to think?

We Need To Talk About Shipping

I just want to put this out there since this website seems to be full of delusional shippers who are pushing fictional narratives or chains of events that literally never happened irl. Now personally, I don't mind casual shipping (big gasp, I know). Like if you think two people are cute together or have great chemistry, that's fine; ppl tend to reflect their own desires onto other people/things, whether they be fictional or real ... create your stories, write your fics, draw some nice pictures ... the problem lies when you can no longer decipher your own fictional stories of your favorite ship from reality. If you have gotten to the point where you feel the need to argue over what ship is REAL in a space where these types of relationships haven't even been confirmed or acknowledged ... kindly exit the fandom and only come back after taking classes in human decency. If BTS hasn't confirmed a relationship, then we as fans must accept that as our reality. Of course, many of us have our speculations, but we should never overstep and promote those realms of possibility as true. You are allowed to think something might be real, but don't turn that idea of realness into false delusions about fabricated events. If you are in the ask box of a stranger accusing a BTS member of cheating on another BTS member with another BTS member... please take the time to reevaluate your life choices. I've seen jkkrs and tkkrs argue for hours over things that literally never happened. How can you guys accuse BTS members of purposely sabotaging another member in the name of a ship? I saw a jikook post that said JM was purposely trying to tick TH off by being 'intimate' with JK. Are you sure you're talking about Jimin? Like, Park Jimin? Kim Taehyung's best friend? That Jimin? One of the best examples that I can think of (right now) is JK's 25th birthday live when he told Jin that none of the members came to visit him for his birthday except for JM and HS. He confirmed TWICE that TH did not come to see him. Now normal people would look at this and just move on, bc we can understand that the other members probably sent happy birthday texts or even gave him a phone call. Just bc something is not done publicly does not mean it didn't happen. But anyways, tkkrs had the AUDACITY of accusing JK of lying, running with a fictitious lie that he had only said he didn't come to 'protect' TH. So are HS and JM not relevant in this equation at all? Did JK purposely mention JM and HS to put them in danger? You DO NOT get to accuse people that YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW of these types of things. Who the hell do you think you are? (also, I'm not targeting tkkrs, I understand that not every single one of you is a bad egg, but this is just the first example I could think of) Y'all need to throw blogs and youtube channels (*cough* taekook-lives *cough*) that have fake stories and leaked photos as evidence away. UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, DO NOT SUPPORT SASAENG/STALKER PHOTOS, EVEN IF IT'S OF YOUR SHIP. Some shippers are far too comfortable using photos that were taken of BTS without their consent as ammo. You are gross. BigHit has protections! Half of these delulu shippers can't even interpret Kor words/sentences correctly and spew false garbage that is both utterly offensive toward BTS and the Kor lang. If you can't even take the time to properly consume the nuances of what is being said, what makes you think that you're such a good detective and can sniff out a relationship? Hell, they can't even tell when honorifics are being used or if they're speaking satoori! Is it so hard to consult actual Koreans and Kor speakers to see if what you're consuming is actually correct? The Korean culture and language are not yours to maliciously weaponize when you're trying to prove a 'point'. But like I said, I feel like this community needs a lot of cleaning up. I want you to enjoy your time in the fandom, but don't attack other people on false evidence or speculations. Take care of yourself and others. Don't let your ships make you into a monster.

And as always, LOVE all seven. SUPPORT all seven. Understand that BTS' bond is so pure and lovely and there's nothing that delusional stans and shippers can say/do to ruin that.

She's honestly not worth any energy or space in anyone's mind whatsoever. Especially people who don't know her from jack if it wasn't to do with her clout chasing and childish weirdos feeding into it and her.

She's the definition of a clout chaser through and through. She's what? An influencer? From a 'rich' family? An actress? What in? Who knew her before all of this? Who is she without this?

She says she wants not parts of this scrutiny, the fandom etc...yet...the most recent malarkey.

Nothing but sad pathetic clownery.

I don't have figures but I guarantee you every time she partakes in these shenanigans her follower count goes up.

And we all know more IG followers = ₩₩💳

Who followed her before all of this started? Miss Rona and everything post 2020 really brought out the imagination and unhingedness in so many😒

She's not saying or doing anything a typical bias fan wouldn't do. She's a fan like the rest of us, I can and do post member pictures too. I can post plushies, fans, plates n shit too. Heck gimme a budget and after watching some member lives and IG stories I can be dating each of them (maybe not Jin & Yoongi cos they keep their ish locked up tight!)

Anytime she does this we get rabid incoming on all sides, apart from those that really just don't give AF.

IDGAF about her or any other name thaf constantly gets brought up, the other that does the same, the old one that got replace by our rider Polyc, blonde haired, blue haired, any haired heiress, idol, model, BFF of idols, none of them.

I'm not fans of any of them. I'm fans of 7 members. I ult bias Jimin & Jungkook and I love Jikook's unique duo.

There’s so much to enjoy about Bangtan & Jikook.

She and the rest of them can keep their online games for the equally immature and unhinged to enjoy, seeing as what the members give us isn’t enough for them 😒

She's a fan. A somewhat 'famous' fan. But a fan nonetheless. The only thing I empathise with there is that little princess and the others like her are missing Jikook content as much as us. So they’re are making their own content. Cos that’s what it is, entertainment content, fiction, a fairytale with her and the others trying to be the main characters.

She’s unprivileged like us in the fact that Jikook have each other right now, like they always have, whilst we are on the outside looking in. Her and all the others like her. All those giving her and her ilk the attention.

The best thing to do with her is to reduce her following numbers, don’t follow her, unfollow her, ignore others boosting her content and keeping her name floating around. Stop giving all those spreading her BS views & clicks, even the comments and quotes, we don’t wanna see it or spread it, so don’t see it or spread it.

Just make her the non MF factor she is.

When I tell you I’ve deleted 4 asks just this afternoon… Four isn’t a lot compared to the usual but given all four asks were about jikook’s military service and all rated R, it just shows the state of my readership at the moment. I’m not sure if it’s from one person or several but we’re still just 1 day into BTS enlisting folks.

A lot of y’all need to use these 18 months jikook are away to find Jesus, visit your grandparents, donate blood or run to raise funds for cancer research. Or get into writing proper fan fiction. Do something that makes the world better or at least makes you money.

Anyhoo.

I think some jkkrs are seeing jikook as these characters in a movie or a fan fiction where everything is so dramatic and filled with glamour. People need to stop seeing jikook as if they are in fan fiction.

It's real life. Everything is not dramatic here. These jkkrs must be teenagers on adults for whom birthdays are very important. But for some people as they grow up the hype for birthdays become less. I think jk too has said something like birthdays are just like any other normal day (I don't remember the exact words he said).

So maybe it's fine for jikook if jimin just wished him normally without all the big gestures. We know they don't tell us the whole scene so we obviously don't know what exactly they did.

Jimin just told us that he talked to jungkook yesterday (31) too which I think he called him at 12 or something when 1st sep began. But jimin didn't tell us whether he met up with jk on 1st in the morning. I mean jimin went to dior in the evening.

Aside from all these theories I just think some people are putting a lot of importance on bdays which honestly depends from people to people. To some people they are important to some they are not. I mean for me I don't understand what new you can celebrate every year. Maybe jikook did a small intimate celebration which they obviously can't tell us. Or maybe jimin just wished him and then went along with his day. I mean what's the big deal? They're adults.

Are these jkkrs expecting some big ass party? Jimin had given us enough by posting that picture. And the rest is their personal life which jimin doesn't want to show us. What are they expecting from jimin? To kiss jk on a live? To forget about his own life, leave his work and just follow jk the whole day because it's jk's bday and then you expect him to tell us about it on a live? Did they expect him to talk only about jk in his welive? I'm sorry but he's a person of his own. He is an individual first before he's jungkook's boyfriend.

Do they want jimin to fly from somewhere just to be on jk's b'day. He did that one time which was the sweetest thing ever, but how can they expect him to do it every single time? Why do they always expect him to do these big ass gestures every single time as if he doesn't have a life of his own but to be just jungkook's cheerleader or trophy husband that they see him as whose only purpose is to serve jungkook.

I'm sorry but I'm strongly jimin biased and I believe in jikook. But some jkkrs would never expect such big gestures from jk. Sometimes they wouldn't even expect jk to post a simple bday wish for jimin's b'day. Which just shows that the bar for jungkook is in hell. I'm sorry but no one expects such big gestures from jk and it's true. And if he actually doesn't post they'll start making excuses that 'oh they met personally'. 'Oh it's not his nature'

But they will always have such high expectations from jimin that if jimin dares to be his own person or if he dares to show that his life doesn't revolve around jk (just because you're dating someone doesn't mean everything in your life has to be about them) then they start shading jimin. Just like some of them are doing now.

Oh my god jimin dared to have a life of his own? How dare he?

Jimin dared to have a career? How dare he?

Jimin dared to focus on himself? How dare he?

Sometimes I genuinely think they see jimin as jungkook's trophy husband or something.

Like mfs jimin already gave us enough on jungkook's birthday. He gave us more than any member did.

A few of tkk hangouts early this year made the fandom bark that tkk are the closet. But when tae didn't wish jk on his b'day barely anyone talked about how they are not close anymore.

Tae didn't wish jk. Yoongi didn't wish jk.

Jimin posted a whole ass picture. Talked a little about jk on his live. He showed us what he could show his fans. What more do they want him to do?

Will jimin have to release a birthday sex tape for jkkrs to settle down.

We don't know if they met or not. And even if they didn't I don't think this should define their relationship. It's not a fan fiction or a movie. This is real life where people have to work and where some people are not even excited on their birthdays and a little wish for their loved ones is enough for them.

But nothing jikook does ever satisfies these people. Even that iconic picture was not enough for them. They just have to poke at something to feel insecure about.

Some jkkrs are getting pathetic day by day. They started shading jm when he wouldn't talk about jk during face promotion welives. And now this. Like give him a break. At least jkkrs out of all people shouldn't talk negatively about jimin. Isn't it enough that armies themselves, other solos and random kpop fandoms are hating on him for literally breathing.

He f*cking came on a live looking so content and happy. He was glowing. And the only thing these jikookers had to say was 'He didn't go to see jk'. Like for once try to see them as individuals.

I always used to think that most of the jikookers are jimin biased but these days they are proving me awfully wrong.

Jimin deserves so much better. I'm sorry but being a jimin biased I can't tolerate this even though I believe in jikook.

I agree with everything in your post. You have worded things perfectly.

I used to think that the majority of jikookers were Jimin biased too, but I no longer think that because if that was the case, they wouldn't demand so much from Jimin and he would be appreciated and defended, not just jikook, but Jimin as an individual, instead of being attacked and excused for behaving as a normal and private human.

Jikook as a ship is loved all right but Jimin as an individual isn't and he doesn't deserve that.

I find it incredibly alarming how people must excuse everything jikook are or do. Everything has to have a reason or jikook world crumbles! At this point, for many, it's not even about "supporting" jikook, but sticking it to the non believers and showing tkkrs that jikook is absolutely real.

Nothing is appreciated anymore because the moment something drops, all the theories and comparisons start.

This is NOT normal.

And people around here are always hating on "insecure jikookers" but the real insecurity shows when people start acting this way.

I seriously gave up on jikookers a while back. At the end of the day, they are allowed to ship however they want BUT they should keep Jimin out of their insecurities and fantasies.

I agree with you. This world is too harsh on Mimi. People who don't see value in him as an individual, WITHOUT Jk, should leave him alone and let people who actually love him, love him as much as we possible can because of who he is and not for who he is with.

from what i remember it was about someone recruiting bts indvidually to become assasins on a mission or smth, and they all had backgrounds and didn’t know each other from what i remember . but jk was big and buff and it looked like jimin and jk were gonna become smth. i don’t remember anything else, other than one scene in the fanfic where they were in an elevator. it’s been so long since i’ve seen it, i left the fic around the first 5 chaps cuz it was still ongoing but now i can’t find it....PLIS HELP

Ok, but like why does Yoongi do Jk dirty like that? Lol Yoongi doesn't LIKE Jimin like that (does he?) and it's obvious that Jk does and the members know it.

Like in the behind the scenes of the xylitol Christmas commercial where Yoongi touches Jimin's ear and Jimin looks at Jk, Yoongi also looks at Jk's reaction. And a lot of other times where Yoongi is just waiting for Jk to react and Jk does and Yoongi just stands there without anything to do anymore.

Yoongi knows he is ruffling Jk's feathers by touching Jimin lol but why does he do it!?!

Could be many reasons

1) He doesn't care. 😂 At the end of the day he's older than JK so this could be a hyung card at play here. Who knows? (RM too stopped caring. He used to pull away from Jimin in the past when JK got bothered but at some point he said "fuck it")

2) Suga respects the Jikook relationship. (This should be number one but his behaviour is the reason we're talking about this so...😂)

Contrary to popular stupid beliefs, BTS wouldn't be BTS if they were dating eo willy nilly. Some of the things I see under YT comments are insane! V used to date JK but then JK left him for Jimin and now he's trying to win JK back. Or When JK rejected Jimin, Jimin started dating Suga and then Jimin left Suga for JK and now bla bla bla I mean, i see this shit everyday and I'm like;

I think it has to do with fanfiction, but it also has to do with the kind of TV shows we watch where a group of friends date eo and break up with eo all inside the group and somehow they remain friends and life goes on?? That's not how real life works. At all.

If any of that fuckery 👆🏽 actually happened it would affect the dynamic of BTS as a whole, big time. They wouldn't have been together all these years as a group if this was the case. Especially considering how possessive JK is. How attached to Jimin (satellite Jeon) he is. You really think Jimin getting with Suga would not cause some bad blood???

When they were young BTS were given scenarios where they were asked what they would do if 2 members wanted the same girl. Jimin said he would find another girl while JK basically said he would fight for his girl till the death. (I'm paraphrasing 😂) but yeah, JK said he would never give her up. Then couple that with JK's "mine mine mine" thing he's got going on and you know that man ain't about sharing, loosing Jimin, or none of that shit.

Another time Jimin said he wants to fall in love with one person for the rest of his life.

So these are the men we are dealing with. Those are their personalities. So this fanfic drama, love triangles people make up are just that, fan fiction.

3) Jimin is the only member he's comfortable having skinship with. This is because Jimin is very attune to people's feelings and u can see the way he initiates skinship with Suga is not how he does it with JK or Jhope. With JK he will just throw himself at him and call it a day. With Suga he will take a beat and actually make sure Suga is okay with it. And I believe Suga appreciates that.

Idk why Suga does what he does, anon. But there is one important thing we have to remember. JK doesn't have an issue with ALL Yoonmin moments. He could have an issue with them on Monday then on Wednesday he won't care. A good example would be this episode.

During this game Suga spent a good chunk of it all over Jimin and JK did not bat an eye. Not even once.

He wasn't bothered even for a second. Which fascinated me honestly. So just coz we don't talk about Yoonmin often, doesn't mean it happens all the time.

Also JK trusts Jimin explicitly and knows nothing is ever gonna come off whatever Suga feels. So it is what it is.

Proof that Jimin knows about JK and his anti Minimoni agenda.

RM pinches (or almost pinches?) Jimin's nipples (which is a Jikook thing btw; to randomly nipple play on official content 😂😂) and what does Jimin do? He looks at JK. And what was that face Jimin??? 👀

In a way I kind of feel sorry for jkkers like there's no way they actually still believe jikook are a couple. There has to be quite abit of cognitive dissonance going on there. Most of the stuff they say read like fan fiction at this point. I saw one rant about all of the jikook moments this year proving how close they are and most of those were either work or involved Tae. I mean there was the lives Jk did but most of those actually made it seem like he hadn't interacted with Jimin in awhile. Now they have taken the biggest evidence of them not being a couple (entering a homophobic military as companions) and run with it as their big proof.

As much as I've gone back and forth about Taekook this year most of what we've seen from them this year has come from them actually being close and spending time together privately. And yes Jk got weird halfway through the year lol but the way he was behaving in the group live was so telling. Then Tae dropped that screenshot of them on a ft call shirtless with shades and Jk looking like he'd been crying and the fact that it was one of the last things he posted before leaving made me think yeah there's something different going on here. It also made me realize that everything that we've seen of them all these years up to the point of them leaving for the military has been consistent with them being in a closeted relationship.

Never saw what Jikookers saw, so don't know what dots they're connecting rn. Whatever floats their boat, I say.

I'll have watch that live at some point😶‍🌫️ but would you mind elaborating on that, anon?

Did it look like he cried? I try not to look at the screenshot too much, not due to the shirtlessness lol, but because it seems like a vulnerable moment, yes.

km really do have incredible chemistry. It’s noticeable even just within the 2 minutes JK dropped into JM’s watching live, or through the comments and their reactions. their gimbap making lives are so comfortable and funny. ppl use bickering as an example of chemistry a lot which personally i don’t really see, but when km bicker it somehow feels intimate. there’s an undercurrent of trust and understanding to all their interactions and don’t even get me STARTED on the tones of voice…sorry this just went full delulu haha so I will say all this could be true without them being a couple, but needless to say I expect their travel show will be a really sweet and comforting watch! So I’m really looking forward to it cus I need some of that. you are right that most of the interactions we saw from them recently were indirect, so it makes sense there’s a sense of excitement and anticipation to see them together and totally at ease. from what we’ve seen they appeared to be filming a lot themselves with supplementary camera work, so I’m really curious what the vibe & premise will be.

Oh, I'm really curious about the format as well. It will probably be mostly vlogging style, with hand held cameras used by KM and probably some other establishing shots, full and wide framing if they had other people filming them. But given the BH/Hybe style, I expect an editing mess made by a team that barely knows the basics. It's not something they excel at. Even Jungkook does a better job, although he's not into it anymore.

Jungkook's camping vlog is most likely the way the travel show will look like as a finished product.

As to their chemistry, bickering and all that, I always got the sense that we are seeing the surface of a dynamic full of inside jokes and an established and well rounded relationship in which we only get some glimpses of. They come across as people who know each other extremely well, what clicks, what doesn't and all this to be but a really small part of their lives because they don't show us more.

I've seen other people saying they either don't expect "jikook moments" or they warned other fans to lower their expectations. It's this mantra that gets spread each time there's something to be released, particularly Memories. I found that nonsensical because it's not like it comes across as KM doing "something" that constitutes a moment and then they don't do it on other occassions. They behave the same with each other in every instance that I have seen. There is no switch that changes behavior. Everything can be called a "moment". It's not fiction, in which the story leads to an important, defining scene.

Take ITS 1 for example. The mosquito incident is considerent a moment, right? It shows up on twitter from time to time, gets discussed and so on. Do other KM interactions not count as "moments"? Are they boring? Is there no "action"? I enjoy them being drunk out of their mind, but also talking about nothing important while they go to eat. They could be the most boring guys on that travel show and I would still be excited and I would enjoy it. It could be a repeat of Jungkook telling Jimin a story in detail about sand fleas and I would be entertained for the simple reason that I like to watch them be with each other.

imma say my truth bc I feel safer here than in twitter but although I do consume shipping culture bc AO3 has THE best writers, some works in there have literally provoked such gut-wrenching reactions out of me that it makes so thankful to be alive. But anyways, fiction still does not equal reality, and that has always been clear and will always be clear.

So this aside, and keeping in mind my perspective overall, although I have consumed BTS fiction since I joined the fandom in 2015, I was never under the assumption that any of the pairings were real bc again fiction is NOT reality. But after Jimin flew across the world for 1 (one) day to celebrate Jungkook’s birthday in 2019???

And after weeks later, jungkook had a whole new sleeve and knuckle tattoos that visually catch the eye with ARMY spelled out horizontally and like a fucking game of scrabble JM vertically???

And Also the fact that the first leaked pic of his tattoos you don’t see the J aka he must have added it after, therefore deliberately ???

I remember my whole view shifting and me going 👀👀👀 ??? 🤨🤨🤨🤨

And this is post GCF in Tokyo era, bc although that was ground breaking and made my heart so full, and although it does come out as a video letter from Jungkook to Jimin, I did not want to push the romantic agenda bc I don’t know them as people and my interpretations on their art might be different that their intention so it was always an open-ended possibility that could have meant romance or just pure friendship, or even something else entirely bc again I don’t know them personally, I’m just a fan.

But anyways going back on my rant, along the blatant “I will fly across the world for you” from Jimin and Jungkooks very real and in your face tattoos (he said on a live more recently the J stands for his name which valid, totally could have been his original intention but he also must know it very obviously spells JM, ok moving on). But what takes the cake of more in your face shenanigans was the fucking hickey.

Literally wtf was this. Why the fuck they showed it. Why did they keep asking. Why did they get so giggly. Why was this not edited out what. Literally me:

Bc I’m still like what the fuck, and I can’t believe they didn’t just A) ignored it like they have done before with members showing some very questionable bruising in their neck before B) covered it with make up C) straight up just not question it further would have been enough tbh. What.

Anyways. That was my lil rant. Like I’m still NOT saying Jikook 100% are together bc again I don’t know them personally and they have not confirmed a relationship publicly (I doubt they ever will). But I AM saying that if they were and if they did announced it, I wouldn’t be surprised bc it’s a little too on your face for it to be an impossibility.
