Letting out a sigh, you wanted to move only to find yourself restricted by quite a few things at the same time.

Most prominently: the ropes around your wrists and ankles were still there. They rubbed over your already torn skin, and the stinging pain made you jolt, forcing you to wake up much too harshly. You had no idea how long you had fallen asleep after your stepbrother took away your best friend, and you were unsure if he had even returned. A sigh of relief overcame him, and he took his hand away, staring at the glaring marks in his hand for a while before bringing it to his lips, licking off the mix of blood and spit you left on him. At the same time, his eyes darted back to yours. You were shocked to see him smile as blood dripped from his mouth, illuminated by the moon shining in, but he merely chuckled as if this all was no big deal and a pleasure to endure.

“What did you do?” you hissed at him again as you used all your strength to composure yourself in front of this animal. “And how long do you plan to keep me like this?” Your addition was emphasized by you forcing the ropes back into his view, twisting them even though it hurt you more than it seemed to impress him.

“Why?” he asked, nonchalant. “You don’t like them? I put so much work into tying them.”

Grabbing your hands, he pulled them up, and with them, your whole body towards him. Kissing your knuckles while staring into your eyes, you neither felt safe nor less frustrated with him for ditching your questions. It only made you angrier, and you shook your hands in his grip until your knuckles brushed his nose. Just you and me?” he asked innocently, and the thought alone of him having all the freedom to do what he wanted made you want to seriously throw up from how ill you felt.

“You’re sick… why are you doing this? Why me?”

“Hmmm,” he hummed contemplatively, lifting you up in the air and holding you in his arms so he could turn around and lay down into bed again with you on top of him. Bringing his hands to your face, he traced your features, over your eyebrows, down your nose, and the rim of your lips. “I loooove you,” he hummed sweetly, almost drunkenly from his feelings. “I love this cute face and potty mouth of yours. Oh how you hated the holidays. You hated the red and green colouring, you hated the carolling groups and bands singing every day in December leading up to the wretched twenty fifth. You hate the baby Jesus in a manager nativity set ups.

‘Jesus wasn’t even fucking born on Christmas. He was a January baby according to Jewish scholars. It was all a ploy to satisfy and celebrate Yule with pagans before encouraging indoctrination!!’

And the smell of peppermint, gingerbread and fatty sugary foods left you feeling sickly.

“Unnecessary calories to dissolve the enamel of my teeth when it comes back up in the  goddamn toilet.”

The cold air and the slippery frost brought you no delight. Along the way you would kick the snow men in your walking path. You despised the bratty children sitting on the Santa laps in the malls.

‘Their parents should know half of those fat ass Santa actors are just paedophiles getting their kicks once a year? Yea I’d love a little boy all prim and plump to sit on my lap if I was a sicko in a red suit too.’

You hated the fact they were bringing Christmas trees in the day after Halloween.

Your senior associate Marlene who you could’ve considered your friend had a heart attack early that year. She was a woman in her prime, at forty years old she had managed to build her business empire. No husband, no kids, no pets. She didn’t need those things, not when she raked in over four million dollars a year. She drank and smoked like a chimney, you wondered if it contributed to her death in the end. Entering the sleek grey, white and black minimalist foyer you sighed in relief. No Christmas or holiday bullshit in here. You had banned all decorations and affiliations.

And you refused paid leave to anyone asking not to work on Christmas day. You remember scoffing last night at the amount of requests you had received about time off for the holidays.

‘I’m running a business, not a charity.’

Christmas was the best time of year for your job. So many stupid people take out stupid loans they can’t afford especially during the holidays period when gift giving is the centre cause of financial stress. You got a thrill out of denying loans and upping payment interest rates for those suckers who didn’t make their payments on time because they chose to spend the money meant to be going into your pocket on some disposable wrapping paper and a cheap pharmacy gift last minute.

As you stepped into the elevator you smiled cynically at the empty space. You could look at yourself in the mirror and pick apart all the things you loved and hated about your body. It was strangely therapeutic. Something about the critiques gave you a massive high.

But just as the elevator doors where closing a hand slammed hard through the gap.

“Wait!” came a familiar cry. Your face fell and you felt a tight discomfort seeing the face of your younger sister. Caroline.

Your eyes shot down to her belly. Big as a house in the ugliest knit Christmas sweater.

‘Pregnant again. Jesus Christ. What’s this? Number four now?’

You clenched your handbag tighter. You tried recalling some sort of baby shower invite from months ago, you totally forgot about it once you moved it to junk mail.

‘If she fucking asks me for money again, I swear to god she’s risking an abortion voucher in a Christmas card...are abortion vouchers even a thing?’

Caroline had married her highschool sweetheart, he was some sort of mechanic or something. A bum, like your Dad. You couldn’t believe she was dumb enough to breed with an imbecile like him. Mind you, her first son was clearly an teen pregnancy accident that sealed them together. And every year, she just seemed to pop out a new one. And every year that meant you gave her a fat cheque, usually six thousand dollars.

You ground your teeth as she forced herself inside and pressed the button of the doors shut immediately, not at all taking notice of you until mid way moving up in the building.

Her face lit up and she shrieked in delight at seeing you.  You strained a smile.

‘Yea, definitely looking for a handout.’

“Oh my god! I was about to fight security to come see you sissy!” she forced her arms around you. You bit your tongue. You hated hugs.

“Well…lovely seeing you too,” you muttered before awkwardly patting her back.

Her breath hitched at seeing the look on your face, “Sorry about not pre-warning, I did try calling you but your phone keeps going to voicemail.”

‘Oh good, she still hasn’t figured out I let them ring out.’

“And you didn’t reply to my emails.”

You fought a smirk, ‘because they go straight to junk mail’.

She smiled and babbled happily, “Anyway, I had to come here because I need to give you-“ she huffed and swiped a bead of sweat from her forehead before reaching into her nappy bag (that she treated like a handbag.) and retrieved a thick red envelope.

She handed it to you. Your manicured nails pinched the ugly stickers one of your nephews or nieces had chosen. Scribbled in absolute chicken scrap handwriting was your name, most likely also done by your nephew or nieces.

The elevator opened and you sighed, marching out to enter the offices with your solo office space down the hall with the largest window and finest view of the city below. You didn’t expect your sister to tail you. She waddled like a fast duck following you.

“I was thinking you should meet this guy that babysits-” She was talking to you about something but in all honesty, you weren’t listening until she mentioned the cursed words, “-Christmas Party.”

You deposited your handbag on your desk and spun on your heel. Your eyes wide, your smile straining into a sneer.

You snickered cruelly and laced your fingers together, “How many times have we discussed this? I. Don’t. Celebrate. Christmas. I don’t do presents, I don’t do carolling, I don’t do secret Santa’s and I sure as fucking hell don’t do Christmas Parties. I’m glad that you and Tim have fun with your kids and do all that meaningless stuff to shield them from the big bad world. I however am not in the mood for it. Work comes first. This is one of the busiest years of my life, the market is at an all time high in interests rates.”

She looked like she was growing smaller with every foul word that dripped like acid rain.

“It’s just one day, not even a full day. Just a few hours, not far from you,” she whispered and rubbed her belly comfortingly.

You shook your head and circled around your desk, “Might as well get this over with, you don’t need to ploy me with booze.”

She rattled the chains together, clinking them and explained, “The spirit will test you. And they will test you fairly. They will decide what to do with you after. They call themselves, Christmas past, present and future.”

When she had said these words, Marlenes ghost faded away, disappearing into the cold, quiet night. It took you a few minutes to catch your breath. You couldn’t believe or make sense of it and no matter how many times you pinched of slapped yourself, you found yourself still in the unexplainable dream. You tossed the blankets from the floor onto the bed. You had another drink of wine before you chose to return to bed. You tugged the warmest and softest blanket up to your chin. What if unsub captures reader and does similar experiments on him only this time the unsub is taunting the BAU with fact he has one of the team by sending pic/videos of what he's doing.

(I was kinda thinking the Unsub is experimenting with old school psychiatric methods?)

A/n: Mmm my first request well actually second but the first one went poof and I hope this is to your liking at least? Sorry it took so long for me to reply to this, I’ve been busy getting ready for an upcoming exam and college has been punching me in the gut. Also I’m trying out new things with tumblr so my layouts will change a lot to see which I would like but besides that I hope you like this half assed story I wrote with little sleep and like 3 monsters, love ya and happy early thanksgiving <3

The Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) of the FBI was called to investigate a series of murders that had taken place in an abandoned asylum. The victims had shown up dead, and the killer had left no clues behind. The BAU was stumped, and they couldn't figure out who the killer was or what his motive was.

“Why did they give us this sicko to find” Penelope mumbled under her breath while trying to do some research.

As they were investigating the case, one of their own, Y/n, was kidnapped by the unsub. The unsub then was going to do similar experiments on Y/n as he had done on his previous victims.

“Let me go you sick bastard!” Y/n yelled, moving around as he was tied up to the bed and his eyes covered with a blindfold.

In the distance he heard a laugh. A sinister laugh it was low and grogy but it sounded so loud like he was everywhere, in every corner.

Y/n didn’t want to show weakness, no he’s too old for that. But for the first time in years he is feeling fear. He’s been in the BAU for around 6 years, all the ups and downs yet he’s never felt fear until now, when it’s him as the victim.

“What do you want from me?!” He shouted, with all the fear trying not to show.

The unsub could only laugh more, “you’re scared..I like that.” He had said in his groggy voice.

Y/n grimaced in disgust from the comment, so this man is a sadist he thought to himself. Clearly it makes since with all the crimes he’s done that’s involved causing people pain. All Y/n could do was lay there, thinking if his team will be able to save him.

Four weeks. Y/n has been gone for four weeks. The BAU is scared for him and hopes he’s fine. The once joy and laughter that filled the office from Y/n’s jokes is now gone. All that is there is a gloomy and sad aura in the air. They wont give up, Y/n is family he will be saved and they wont give up.

The unsub liked to experiment with old school psychiatric methods, and he was using them on Y/n. The BAU was horrified when they received pictures and videos of the things that the unsub was doing to Y/n.

“He’s sick!” Yelled out Spencer. The BAU was angry at the unsub but glad to know Y/n is still alive.

The BAU knew that they had to act fast if they wanted to save Y/n’s life. They worked tirelessly to track down the unsub and rescue Y/n. They wouldn’t rest until they saved their friend, their member, their family.

Y/n is still tied on that god awful bed. He lost count of the experiments but he hated them. He didn’t know what was put in him or what it would do but he is scared. Today was the day he lost it.

“Hello Darling, I have something new for you and all you have to do is drink it.” The unsub said, walking towards Y/n as he heard the footsteps coming closer.

“No..please stop this.” Y/n said in a weak voice, it was almost like he was someone else. His color now all pale, his lips dry, and his body aching to where he wish he was shot instead.

The unsub can only laugh as he grabbed a hold of Y/n to force his mouth opened as he poured in the orange green liquid. Y/n squirmed as tears finally fell from his eyes behind the blindfold.

Burning. The liquid felt like it was burning his insides and like his head was close to exploding. Once all the liquid was finally gone the unsub released Y/n from his grasp and stepped back a bit to see the results.

The feeling made Y/n scream so loud and cry so hard that he just wanted to end it. All this pain he feels is on a whole different level and he hates it. He hates the feeling of being a lab rat, knowing he could die anytime now.

After a long and grueling investigation, the BAU finally caught the unsub. Y/n heard gunshots as he jolts from a sleep he fell into. He wanted to speak or scream for help but his body was too weak for him to do anything. He just sat there feeling weak and useless for once in his life.

He hears the door being kicked opened and heard a voice that he can’t believe he would say he missed but he did.

“I found him agent Reid” he heard Derek say as the footsteps got closer. Y/n doesn’t know why but he tried to break out, scared that they would hurt him.

“He really fucked him up..” Derek muttered under his breath as he went to take off the blindfold and the rope that was holding Y/n.

Y/n kept his eyes closed scared, he was shaking trying to process everything. Y/n the once fearless and brave agent is scared and has fear bottled up. He couldn’t do nothing but tightly grab onto Derek and cry. He cried and cried with the strength he had left until he felt his eyes grow heavy.

The case was one of the most challenging that the BAU had ever faced, but they were able to overcome it with their expertise and determination. They were glad to finally have Y/n back but they hope he can go back to being his happy and funny self. One can only hope.

Changkyun: The Unhinged

- yes, yandere are psychotic, but changkyun is another level

A Second Decade of Movies

Ten years ago on Facebook, I compiled a list of every movie I watched, in order, from the first decade of the network’s existence. Now, here’s part two, covering the years 2010-2019. There are 754 titles below, though some are repeat viewings. The movie I watched the most? Harold Lloyd in “The Freshman.” My favorite movie from the last decade? “The Tree of Life.”

But I began the 2010s with James Cameron’s mega-hit “Avatar.” I’ll go on record saying the movie is still enjoyable ten years later, as I watched it again in 2019 with my kids to prep for visiting the World of Pandora at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. But--I also agree with those who say there’s little remembered from the film in the culture today. Can you name the stars? Recount the plot in detail? Mostly what we remember from the film is the spectacle of it all, game-changing when it was released in 2009.

Ateez in Sydney (11 Aug 2019)

Like all kpop shows in Australia, this was Expensive so I was initially quite hesitant to see it. I was very fond of Say My Name and quite into the latest comeback, and I'd been impressed by their dance skills both as KQ Fellaz and then on debut, but I wasn't a serious fan and how much could they have to show really when they'd been around less than a year. But then, as usual, I said YOLO (FIGURATIVELY) and went to the show lol.

I'm really glad I did. For such a rookie group (they debuted less than a year ago!) they had such a lot of polish to their stages, charm to their ments, and energy that kept up almost all the way to the end. I was also really impressed by how into it the crowd was - I don't think it quite sold out, but the fervour and enthusiasm was real and loud.

I have said before that I think a show is, like, a super powerful dose of the fan appeal you might usually get just through MVs, stages, variety, livestreams etc, and in this case it really worked. I compared this show to other rookie groups I've seen, and even some very established groups I've seen (I won't name names, but you can DM me lol), and this was actually pretty high on the professional scale.

There's a few things they still need to tighten up - most of the ments were quite tight and well run, but towards the end it started to drag a bit, and they took too long with some interludes and costume changes - but overall I was really impressed and endeared, and I went away wanting to know more about them. So, yeah, the show did its job!

Structurally, they divided the show into three portions - a piratey section at the start, a middle section for the colourful summer pop, and then a final section with the dark and edgy songs. In between, there were some good solid ments, a charming VCR, and (rather oddly) a couple of songs from their labelmate Maddox who has a beautiful voice but also could stand to work on making stage banter more fluid.

I am not sure if I have a bias yet but maybe it's Yunho, because of his personality and his dancing. After the show I looked up a few more things about him and HA FUCKING HA he's from Gwangju, is known for his beagle like personality, and went to Joy Dance and Plug In Academy - I have a type lol.

I didn't take super detailed notes but some random things under the cut:

Seonghwa was unwell, so he sat for the entire middle section. It was sweet to see the other members come up to him during songs to dance around him or give him quick hugs - he seemed really shy about it! (Please note I did not know Seonghwa's name until after the show, but he was very recognisable to me because of his cheekbones lol.)

They wished happy birthday to Mingi and gave him a cake in the encore, cute!

Maknae Jongho said one of his favourite singers was Australian Guy Sebastian and he sang some of Out With My Baby. The other members called him a "super baby" lol. I found out just now that they actually met Guy Sebastian while they were here - cute! 

Seonghwa said he had a connection to Australia because he'd lived here for 4 months when he was 11.

Loved the dance cover of Travis Scott's Sicko Mode.

Maddox said that he did not realise it was going to be winter in Australia… oh my child. (It was a chilly weekend in Sydney as we're at peak winter.)

We were in the seated area and it was interesting to see a whole row of older men, mostly white, who I assume were industry.

It was quite a high budget production by Big Top's basic standards - numerous streamers and confetti, and also fireworks. I could've done with less fireworks, tbh - at times they obscured the point choreo!

They had an Australian slang ment which was very cute. 

One of the ments was Twitter requests which thankfully were all pre-vetted so this section went very quickly and smoothly. I thought that was very well handled and better than other groups I've seen do similar things. Some of the things they had to do included expressing how they felt about Sydney using their bodies, doing Wave choreo with no arm movements, yelling Aussie Aussie Aussie (for the nth time lol), and doing Aurora choreo but make it sexy - Jongho and Wooyoung both had to do this, with the group calling Jongho "sexy baby!" when it was his turn.

Random Dance play including Exo's Kokobop, Izone's Violeta, Monsta X's Shoot Out, Twice's Yes Or Yes, and Block B's Toy. This was so fun!

I loved the VCR of their rehearsal leading up to Australia. It gave such good fun snapshots of all their personalities.

Google Year In Search 2019: Baby Yoda, Lil Nas X, Area 51 & More

Google is the go-to online search engine for pretty much anything you can think of. The most searched terms for 2019 are here, from music to television, sports to news, and everything in between.

Disney Plus takes the hot spot for 2019 as the top-most Googled search. This only goes to show our love for nostalgia and Baby Yoda (who is the most Googled baby, by the way). Late stars including actor Cameron Boyce rapper Nipsey Hussle come in as the 2nd and 3rd-most Googled terms, respectively.

As far as musicians and bands go, R. Kelly is the most searched term for obvious and unfortunate reasons. 21 Savage, who became a target of ICE in early 2019 and made headlines worldwide, comes in at number 2.

From there, it’s breakout pop star Billie Eilish at number 3, viral sensation Lil Nas X at number 4, and A$AP Rocky at number 5, who also found himself in legal trouble this year and thus began the #FreeRocky movement.

Google Year In Search 2019: Baby Yoda, Lil Nas X, Area 51 & More

Google is the go-to online search engine for pretty much anything you can think of. The most searched terms for 2019 are here, from music to television, sports to news, and everything in between.

Disney Plus takes the hot spot for 2019 as the top-most Googled search. This only goes to show our love for nostalgia and Baby Yoda (who is the most Googled baby, by the way). Late stars including actor Cameron Boyce rapper Nipsey Hussle come in as the 2nd and 3rd-most Googled terms, respectively.

As far as musicians and bands go, R. Kelly is the most searched term for obvious and unfortunate reasons. 21 Savage, who became a target of ICE in early 2019 and made headlines worldwide, comes in at number 2.

From there, it’s breakout pop star Billie Eilish at number 3, viral sensation Lil Nas X at number 4, and A$AP Rocky at number 5, who also found himself in legal trouble this year and thus began the #FreeRocky movement.

A quick chat with the amazing Mat Fraser. If you don’t know him, read this then LOOK HIM UP.

What advice do you have for up-and-coming artists with disabilities who aspire to succeed in the entertainment industry?

Be prepared for NO, but keep going until they give in.  Be better at what you do than your non-disabled counterparts and you might just get seen as almost as good.  Fuck the system, but if you ain’t mainstream success, to some extent you have to behave as if you love it.  Don’t use your disability to get away with lack of talent, bad behavior, mistakes, and other human attributes.  But, by all means, use it to perform, make yourself more interesting, and recognize the duality of being different in as positive a way as you can manage.  It will help.

Can you provide us with a little background on your life prior to becoming a performance artist?

Normal school; got expelled for too much sex, drugs, and rock and roll; 16 years professional rock drummer in bands like Living In Texas, Joyride, and The Grateful Dub.  Then I got my disability consciousness and became a performance artist, actor, writer, poet etc.

As a triple threat rock musician, performance artist, and actor, which of the three are you most passionate about and why?

Well, all of them...but I guess portraying disabled characters that reject the tired clichés of “Hollyweird”, showing us to be the full gambit of possibilities that we are. That gives me a thrill.

You also have passions for martial arts, writing poetry, and radio.  Can you elaborate on these hobbies for us?  Also, do you have any additional interests that you enjoy?

Well none of them are hobbies.  I am a martial artist which is a way of life. Radio, I do professionally for the BBC, and I still occasionally write poetry, but I prefer scripts these days. One day I’d like to write a whole play in modern verse.

For 15 years you were a drummer for several rock bands.  Would you mind telling me about your experiences with these groups?

Sex, drugs, rock and roll, occasional groupies, and more drugs.  I had a great time in Living In Texas, signed to EMI France, and was on day-time TV.  We had a big LP, spent lots of money, and then were dropped by the label.  We toured a lot in 80’s in Europe, then 90’s in Europe, and Sweden until we settled in a speed metal band/dub reggae band in Brixton, London.  Happy, simple days of maximum partying.

That sounds insane!  What are your personal opinions about touring and have you given any thought to performing with a band again in the future?

I would love to.  In fact, I’m trying to put together a Cramps/Velvet Underground tribute band, made up of freaks and tattooed girls, called The Spazms.  Touring has its own rhythm, and once seasoned in it, you can learn to really enjoy its fun...lack of sleep, good food etc.  These are the down sides, but still worth it all.

Well, after those crazy and successful days as a drummer, you expanded your musical stylings to rap and speaking poetry, recording several albums.  Tell us more.

I wanted to SPEAK to people, tell them how shit I thought everything was, and communicate my disability in society angst to the world.  It never occurred to me how ludicrous that was:  a white, middle-class, disabled, old rapper from Britain.  I liked what I did though, and did 2 LP’s full of my vitriol and rhythms.

Well, aside from your talents as a musician, you have a few fun projects you are involved with right now including hosting at The Slipper Room, various burlesque shows throughout Manhattan, and the Coney Island sideshow.  Could you give us some more details about these events?

Well, I regularly host the Slipper Room shows now.  I get on with their house style and like to bring my mutated sideshow humor to bear on the bare.  The sideshow itself is a great place to hone your performance skills and find out who and what you are as a disabled performer.  I love working there and hope to be able to do a lot of next year’s summer season.  That also goes for the occasional flash style performances I’ve been involved in, in NYC.  I love the openness of possibility there.

In addition to these shows, you have Beauty and the Beast coming up, in which you are accompanied by Julie Atlas Muz.  Can you describe the show and your performances to first-time audiences for us?

It’s between theatre and Live Art, it’s a child-like story for adults, it’s the ultimate romance, and it’s quite nude, but not rude. It makes people cry, cheer, and standing ovate.  An hour long, we interpret the classic story to inhabit the Oedipal transfer and the equation of mutation as beastly, to find true love only can be free when one is free of all trappings of so-called “prisonesque” normality.

How do you handle mistakes during a public performance?

Treat it as a lesson, be focused enough to not let it happen again, but don’t kill myself with remorse.

Was creative performance always an aspiration for you?  

It’s my life, indeed.  I am stared at 24/7 in my life. To be able to control the nature of that attention is a wonderful gift, catharsis, therapy.  But, most of all, it is power, the power to transform people’s minds and ideas, to help them open up into more knowing beings, and to enjoy life.  I get all that and loads more by being a performer; so of course, it is the only way for me to go.  The alternative is being unable to change the misconceptions and prejudices about disabled people, which I have no interest in or time for.

What kind of parts do you prefer to play in terms of your roles or gigs as an actor?

Anything at all, but I love it when it has nothing to do with my disability...however I also love it when it’s integral.  These days I enjoy comedy and character roles.

Well, since we’ve been talking about your disability…being born with phocomelia, can you provide us with a little background on how life for you differs from those who have been born without this syndrome?  And, can you briefly describe phocomelia for those who are unaware?

It means seal-like limbs, which is fairly descriptive because our limbs do look a bit like flippers of seals, especially in X ray format...you can see the bone structure is flipper like...The differences I have encountered growing up are less about how I manage to dress and wipe my ass etc., but more about the social stigma of being extremely physically different and the negative assumptions/reactions you get from the general masses. Most of the time they are lovely, but not always. Dealing with that and processing how to manage it all while remaining sane and functional has been what growing up was all about for me.  

How has living with phocomelia affected your being a drummer and performance artist?

As a drummer, merely physically, in that I had to literally reconfigure the drums’ positions in order to play them well.  As a performing artist, they have been my inspiration, my reason for becoming a performer, so living with them has been a joy.

Now, how about a few random questions?  Can you tell us a bit about the most memorable film or television production in which you have participated or acted?

My film “Unarmed But Dangerous” was incredible.  It cast me as the action hero, “Bruce Willis with flippers”, as it says on the back of the DVD. Really violent, underground sicko, British gangster film…I loved it.  Then, the big TV series came out in the U.K., “Cast Offs”, because I have a big part and get to play a really complex character.  And, because it is seminal in that all 6 main characters are disabled and moreover all played by disabled actors…Never happened before.  

To you, the word “success” is defined as what?

Fiscally independent sanity, smothered in universal love.
