if you have seen gose episodes, he's a very light sleeper. immediately wakes up to a little sound. so when he doesn't feel your presence besides him, he already starts to shift in the bed. he hears some noises of fabric, some tapping on the floor. heels. surely, they were yours. he finally opens his eyes and checks his phone. 1 am. what could you be possibly doing at this time?! he looks around. no sight of you. he walks to the door and sees you, all dressed up, almost getting out, your hand resting on the doorknob. "ehm ehm" he coughs. you squint your eyes and turn around slowly, smiling at him widely. he points at the bedroom without any words. you pout and walk back to the room.

jeonghan

he also probably feels the empty spot besides him. he had his back turning to you. after a while, he wanted to turn to you and wrap an arm around you. he goes for it, only to meet air. he taps on the mattress, his brows furrow. it's empty? he quickly opens his eyes and stands up. "y/n? babe?" he calls out. no answer. he gets up and looks around the house. he frowns, the panic starting to rise. the first thing that comes into his mind is grabbing his phone and dialling your number. no answer, again. he tries multiple times, no use. he waits the whole time, walking back and forth around the house, biting his nails. he finally gets a call. rushing to his phone, his brows furrow even more at the dialler. "mingyu?" he picks up the phone. "jeonghan hyung, y/n is drunk. please come pick her up" and he is in his car in seconds. he is mad at you, for sure, but you make it up to him in your own way.

catches you right before you get dressed. you were making too much noise. he furrows his brows and hums angrily. "my love, stop making noise and sleep" he mumbles. the noise kept bothering him so he sits up. he is met with the sight of you, trying to zip up your dress. he looks at you with a confused face, and you meet his gaze through the mirror. you go 😀, while he's 🤨. "what the hell are you doing?" "nothing?" "yeah...now get back in your pyjamas and cuddle me". and you can't say no.

is low-key offended. he wakes up to you, throwing yourself in the bed, your dress still on. you try to kiss him, but he whines and blocks your face with his large palm. "you smell like alcohol. where did you go?" he whines out, looking at you with a (fake) angry face. "i went to a party" you mumble, smiling at him. he gasps and looks at you in a very offended way. "you could've at least invited me". you laugh loudly, he pulls you close. you try to kiss him again, and he blocks you again. "first, you shower and brush your teeth. then you'll get a kiss". after that, he takes care of you and gives you your kiss.

hoshi

so so so whiny and sulky. he gets up as soon as you do. "hmmmm! where are you goinggg.." he whines half asleep. you try to get out of his grip, but fail miserably. "no! you're staying with me." he pulls you by your arm and tugs you into his embrace again. guess no party tonight!

i think he would be a little disappointed in you. why would you go without warning him? he probably doesn't notice, so when he gets up in the morning, he's met with the sight of you passed out. you didn't even make it to the bed, you're literally on the couch. one shoe on, one off, your arms literally stretching out, your hair and makeup all messy. he couldn't deny that you were looking adorable, but he was a bit angry at you. when you wake up, he scolds you, tells you to shower and then makes breakfast for you.

my man does not sleep, he works. you ain't going nowhere. even if you do, he would still catch you. so nope!

dk

is in panic when he doesn't feel your presence besides him. keeps calling your name. when he gets no answer, he walks around the house, still nothing. he is really going to have a heart attack if you don't pop out. he calls everyone he knows in the middle of the night just for you. when hoshi tells him that you're at a party, he releases a long sigh. then panics again, because, you're getting drunk alone?! asks hoshi where the party is and picks you up.

party? without him? nah. he knows every party that is held. so if you're going, he's going. if you said no and then wanted to go anyways, sorry, but it's not going to work with him! he wakes up in an instant, and pulls you into his embrace, saying: "you said we wouldn't go, so you're staying with me".

you're not playing with him like that. literally, pretends to be asleep, while you get all dressed up, and when you reach the door, you notice it's locked. you look at the door confused while trying to open it. you look around for the keys, but they're nowhere to be found. when you hear a jingling, you look at where the sound came from, and it's none other then your boyfriend holding the keys with a smirk. "you're not going anywhere alone at this time. if you really want to, i'm coming with you". he probably already knew your plan, since you were talking about it with your best friend.

low-key offended number two. you? partying without him? how dare you! he wakes up to your noises. when he sees you all dressed up, he whines and then gets up, dressing himself as well. "you're not partying without me, it's dangerous to go alone".

dude sleeps so deeply he does not notice. you come back home, around 5 am and he's still sleeping. when he wakes up, he sees you, strangely in your pyjamas, but he sniffs and smells the alcohol. he sighs. when you wake he asks you if you went to drink. you tell him that you went to a party and he shakes his head in disappointment. (he's not actually angry tho). "you should've told me, don't do that again. always tell me where you go".

riki loves to watch you sleep.

it's nothing new. you've been living together for a little over a year now, his mornings begin with you sleeping by his side most of the time, but riki doesn't look like he has moved on from the way you look when you're sleeping.

he thinks you look funny— ugly, maybe not ugly, but definitely funny. you look like such a mess, make weird faces, leave trails of incoherent words that wake him up in the middle of the night. your limbs are all over the bed and most of the time, they're above him, as if he's your bed or something. you never wake up the way you go to sleep, always ending up on his side of the bed, pushing him to the edge while wrapping your arms around him as if you're holding him from falling down, like you're not the reason why he's in that position in the first place. you end up taking the whole comforter and it got to the point where riki suggested using two different comforters for the sake of both of you, but it didn't help either, since you would leave yours and slide into his every single night.

but he doesn't complain, not at all. he doesn't mind if you steal his comforter and he has to sleep without one every night. it's fine if he falls down from bed once a few days, or if he wakes up with neck or back pain thanks to your habit of having your hands and legs all over him. riki doesn't have any complaints because he thinks it's a blessing to wake up every night and look at your beautiful face.

he thinks you're the prettiest while sleeping because you don't seem to care about the way you have to present yourself to people, even if it's just him and you in the room. you smile while sleeping, or frown, make some sort of angry face, etcetera etcetera; riki thinks it's adorable, because those are the moments when he realises he's in love with you.

"you could've woken me up," and sometimes, he's too busy falling in love with you, he doesn't realise you've woken up already.

"thought i'd let you sleep a little more," he speaks just above the comforting silence enveloping the two of you, trying to maintain the decorum, matching the intensity of his voice with yours while caressing your cheeks. "you're making me want to sleep again,"

"well, y—" he slips in next to you, making you shift involuntarily to make space for him. his hands are a little cold, sending bits of shivers down your spine as he wraps them around your waist, letting his fingertips trace random patterns on the bare skin under your sweatshirt. "i'd love to sleep more but, we need to make breakfast,"

"what's so good about breakfast at seven on a winter morning?" he whispers against the crook of your neck.

you chortle at the contact, "maybe that it can help me with my hunger?"

"if we sleep, we won't be hungry anymore," riki pulls back, allowing his eyes to admire your face while you take your time presuming the words behind his love sick eyes. "can i tell you something?"

"go on,"

"i think i'm in love with you,"

your lips curl into a smile, "you tell me that every day," or more so, multiple times, every day. it's more of a reminder so that you don't forget he loves you, and that he loves you more than anything else in this world, as if you're ever going to forget it.

"no i mean, i'm in love with you right now, at the moment, while we're lying next to each other; like, i'm falling in love with you right now and—" a pause, as if he's trying to build up suspense or create the atmosphere. it's simply a riki thing to do, he wants everything about you to be special. "— and, i don't think i can ever stop falling in love with you,"

it's magical how every single word that falls off his lips manages to flutter your heart. his smile never fails to fluster you even though you've been dating for three years now. riki has you going crazy and also keeps you sane. it's difficult, but you're somewhere in between. he has you head over heels for himself, making you fall for him every morning that you wake up. he's keeping you afloat but is also the reason why you're drowning. he is like a pool of contradictions in your life and you can't help it because every part of him makes you feel alive.

that is the effect riki has on you. so, you cup his cheeks, hoping that you have the same, if not more, effect on him as well. "i don't think i can ever stop falling in love with you either,"

You hadn’t answered any of his texts and the worry bubbling in his chest had turned to pure concern to the point where he felt like he wouldn’t be able to breath until he knows you’re okay.

The path to your house was one that Riki was familiar with. Whether it was walking you home or just coming to see you, the turns were something that he could navigate in the pitch black. This time something felt off, he guessed it was the fact that you weren’t by his side; without you there filling him in on your day or telling him the latest gossip the path just felt lonely.

Getting to your front door he couldn’t see your parents cars but he still knocked on the door, desperate to see you. The time it took you to answer the door felt like jelly, thick and cold, as your boyfriend stood there ready to raise hell to see if you were okay. So when you opened the door squinting at the sunlight streaming past the silhouette of your boyfriend he almost fell to his knees in relief.

Pulling you into his chest he plants kisses across your hairline, thanking every deity he could think of that you were safe. Closing the door behind him he practically carried you up to your room not letting his grip loosen until he was at your bedside.

Setting you down and falling into bed next to you he fully takes you in. You had gotten changed into one of his hoodies and some sleep shorts and even though you were the most gorgeous thing he’s ever laid eyes on, Riki couldn’t help but notice that you didn’t look so good.

“Come on sunshine, what's the matter? Why did you leave me all alone in that hell hole?”

You couldn’t help but crack a small smile against his chest at the quite accurate description of your school.

“Got a migraine. Promise it’s nothing against you dumbass.”

“Did you take anything for it? Paracetamol? Ibuprofen? Those headache tablets your mum gets?”

You got migraines a lot but you had never had to go home because of one before. The only thought running through Riki’s head was to try and help you and lessen your pain.

“Yeah, I took some paracetamol when I got home. Just need some sleep and I’ll be good for tomorrow.”

And with that reply Riki pulled you close and let you get comfy. He talked to you about anything he could think of. How Sunoo and Jungwon had tried to get him to settle a stupid argument and he ended up running away, how your literature teacher just gave up and let them watch a movie last period. Anything the boy could think of he talked about letting you fall asleep against his chest as you listened to his voice.

So you fell asleep with the boy you love already feeling better as you knew that you would always have him by your side. He would run to the end of the earth for you, he would take the stars from the sky if you asked for them but all you needed was this.

All you needed was to feel loved as you navigate another day because being a teenager can suck, being ill sucks, school, life, everything just sucks. That all melts away when you're in Riki’s arms, hearing his voice, seeing him smile. He just makes everything better even the most painful of migraines.

Lost in your own thoughts, you allowed your fingertips to trace the contours of his jawline, reveling in the texture of his stubble against your skin. Taehyun stirred again, his grip around your waist tightening as he nestled his face into the crook of your neck, seeking a deeper connection even in his slumber.

A sleepy smile graced his lips as he brushed a strand of hair behind your ear. "Your beautiful even in the morning."

You felt a blush creep up your cheeks at his compliment, a testament to the power he held over your heart. "Flattery won't get you out of making breakfast," you teased, poking him gently in the side.

He chuckled, the sound reverberating through his chest and sending vibrations against your back. "Only if you promise to stay in bed a little longer."

You nodded, your heart swelling with affection as you leaned in to press a tender kiss against his lips. The world outside the room seemed distant and insignificant, as if nothing else mattered except this quiet, shared moment.

As you pulled away, still relishing in the connection, Taehyun's gaze held yours, "I love you," he whispered, his voice laced with sincerity.

"I love you too," you replied, your voice barely above a whisper.

With a contented sigh, Taehyun nestled his head back into the crook of your neck, his breathing gradually evening out as he succumbed to the gentle pull of sleep once again. And as his breathing synchronized with the rhythm of your own, you closed your eyes, surrendering to the blissful embrace of dreams.

Couples. Ni-ki hates couples, which is pretty ironic since he’s the reason half of them currently exist. Thought it was not like he had a choice seeing as he was born as an angel a cupid at that.

At first, it was fun being able to make two people fall in love and watch how some relationships blossomed while others fell apart, but over time it grew repetitive The constant matchmaking and shadowing had taken a toll on the boy.

When he first told his mother how he felt she just brushed it off as the boy not liking the idea of love… which wasn’t surprisingly not that rare writhing cupids but what she got wrong was that Ni-ki does want love.

He’s just tired of helping everyone else with their love lives when he can’t even help himself. As he continued to trail behind his new match he couldn’t help but wonder when would cupid shoot him with an arrow if that were even possible.

“ Don’t you ever get bored?” Ni-ki questions looking away from the couple-filled streets “What do you mean?.” Jungwon asks looking over at the boy.

“ Of watching people fall in love, of being invisible, stuck in the shadows.” the younger explains, jungwon simply shakes his head.

“ Not I think it’s quite amazing actually…” Jungwon replies smiling as a couple walks past holding hands. Ni-ki scoffs. “You don’t get it.”

“ It’s okay to not like your job Ni-ki Lots of cupids hate their job.” Jungwon says

“But this is a job that I can’t quit I’m stuck doing this until… I don’t even know when.” Ni-ki whines slamming his head down onto the table. Jungwon softly patted the boy's head.

“ I mean you can quit…” a new voice spoke causing Ni-ki to sit back up. It was Jay another angel.

“But there’s consequences, have you heard about Heeseung?” Jay asks, Ni-ki shaking his head.

“Who is that?”

“ he was my friend, and once a cupid like us… a few years ago he gave up his wings to become human, all for some mortal he’d fallen in love with.”

“But isn’t falling in love with a mortal forbidden?” Jungwon says confusedly. There were a lot of things angels couldn’t do.

“Yes, which is why he’s no longer here It’s been said that he is still human… but his lover was taken away,” Jay replies causing the younger's eyes to widen. “They killed the mortal?” Ni-ki asks loudly.

“No of course not they just wiped heeseung from their memory, I heard they ended up falling for someone else.” Jay states the two boys letting out sighs. “ Heesueng tried to come back and beg for forgiveness but a fallen angel never regrows their wings.”

“So what was the point in telling me all that?” Ni-ki questions. “To show its better to be an angel and live in the shadows than be a mortal and have everything about your life out in the open.”

“But what if I’m tired of the shadows?”

“That's on you Ni-ki, since only you can stop yourself from stepping into the light.”

Walking along the busy streets Ni-ki mindlessly trailed behind the latest couple, who were making their way to an art museum.

Normally when Ni-ki grew tired of one couple he’d leave and find a new one but despite his boredom, he knew these two were a good match and wanted to make sure they’d succeed.

Their names were Eunjin and Daesoo and they’d been friends for years now silently crushing on one another. Well, that was until Ni-ki stepped and in used his magical powers to get the two idiots to confess. Now his job was to protect their relationship until it was stable enough for them to handle on their own.

Upon entering the art museum Ni-ki watched as the couple showed their tickets and joined the crowd of people waiting for their tour guide.

The crowd seemed like your average group of people couples here and there, a few college students and critics. However, one person stood out quite a bit. Or at least in Niki’s eyes, though he couldn’t see his face the girl seemed much brighter than everything surrounding her.

While everyone else seemed to wear more Dark attire the girl wore a bright blue cardigan hanging loosely on her shoulders, paired with a white skirt matching the headband on her head.

Ni-ki watched as she stared up at the painting as if she were in a trance her curious eyes shining under the museum lights.

Neither of them realized that the crowd had now moved on to the next piece. Ni-ki also eventually found himself staring at a piece of art but it wasn’t the painting on the wall.

“ Y/n.” called out a voice pulling the girl— y/n out of her trance.

“Come on before you get left behind.”

“Okay coming! Heeseung.” she replied voice bright and cheerful as she skipped off toward her … friend?

wait Heeseung? Lee Heeseung, the fallen angel.

Watching as the two walked off and joined their group, Ni-ki averted his eyes from the painting that the girl had been captivated by moments ago.

He could see why she stared for so long. Psyche and Cupid.

But Psyche can’t see Cupid.

So what’s the point?

It was now a few days later and it was safe to say he still didn’t get the point, even after days of following the pretty human around, The boy could probably tell you every detail of her face from how long he’d stared hoping she’d eventually look back at him. Though it never happens he still hopes.

Sometimes he finds himself thinking of what Jay said. “Only you can stop yourself from stepping into the light.” he repeats to himself as he watches the girl read next to her window, The soft taps of rain hitting the glass echoed over the soft sniffles coming from the girl.

“ If I give up my wings will you finally see me?” Ni-ki asks and of course, receives no answer. He sighs having an internal battle with himself.

“ I don’t wanna give up my wings if it means I can't have you.”

He thinks back to Jay's story about Heeseung, how his lover was taken away from him when he left. Was Ni-ki willing to risk it? Was he ready to risk losing something he didn’t even get the chance to have?

As he watched the girl climb into her bed and fall into a peaceful slumber looking effortlessly beautiful despite the dried tears on her cheeks, he realized he’d do anything to make sure he’d be there to wipe away her tears. Whether she loved him or not.

“ Jay! You idiot I told you not to tell them the story about heeseung!” Jake shouts shoving Jay's chest. Jay stumbled back confusedly shocked by Jake's aggressiveness.

“ What are you talking about? What’s going on?” Jay asks. “ The story about turning human to peruse love” Jake reminds. “ You told Ni-ki and jungwon about it right?” Jay nods

“ Well Jungwon found a letter from Ni-ki this morning and it says that he’s going to give up his wings for some girl from a museum,” Jake explains, all the color drains from Jay's face.

“ As long as the higher power doesn’t know why Ni-ki is giving them up he should be fine.” Jay states.

“ Yeah but what if they find out?”

“ Another cupid will be sent down to make her fall for someone else.”

“ and what about Ni-ki?”

“ he stays human but will not be able to have a lover unless a cupid uses their powers to form a connection”

“ Shit…”
