Text: [There was only one part he had yet to cut. The awkward half bang over his left eye still loomed, the rest of his head as low as a military recruit’s. He didn’t want to give them this- decades later, years on screen, and it still felt too personal.

But then again- why shouldn’t they see the damage they’d done? As young as he was, Shouto had sacrificed his own safety and ended up with this scar, all so that they could have some TV. Why shouldn’t they have to look their own actions in the face? And if they didn’t like it, fuck them! With this new motivation, he shaved the rest of the hair off. The red and white locks lay strewn over the floor, and it didn’t seem good enough to simply throw them away. No, they needed to be eradicated. Gone. Sweeping the clumps into the sink, Shouto retrieves a pocket lighter, lights some toilet paper, and sets the entire pile ablaze.

For a moment, he simply breathes and watches it burn, as if the power from the burning, stinking hair was siphoning into his veins.

People underestimate the power of making their characters cute

And I'm not talking about appearance only

I mean giving their characters cute characteristics and behaviours

Cuteness may fall to the beholder, but still

There is so much cuteness to be found if you know where to look!!

Like for me personally, I think a lot of a character's cuteness comes from sincerity!

When a character is so genuine about something and you can see their enthusiasm (no matter how they show it), it's really cute!

When a character is honest above everything else, even if clumsily, bluntly, awkwardly, and yet feels embarrassed about it.

Good but not nice characters being vulnerable.

Vulnerability and respecting that vulnerability, and being vulnerable back because the characters love each other however they may love each other and want each other to know they're important.

Characters being being silly and being shy and quietly embarrassed, and characters being unapologetically forthcoming while being respectful.

It's all so cute!!!

hi! in the artist application it says to link your social media/portfolio and if my portfolio is different than my social media i was wondering which you wanted us to link?

Hi Mlmwuxians!

What we mean by “social media/portfolio” is any and all social media you feel comfortable sharing as well as any portfolio you may have.

We can use me for an example!

My social medias are tumblr & insta: bokunoherokomikuko, twitter: bnhkomikuko

I don’t have a dedicated portfolio like a website or a google drive folder, but I do have art tags on my tumblr blog (#komikuko comics, #komikuko draws, etc) and a twitter moment that contains all the art I’ve posted to twitter, and even my insta as is. These can act as portfolios if I wished to link to them in my application if I were to apply.

If you’re unlike me and do have a portfolio/website/folder/etc. then you can link that if you wish.

 At the end of the application we ask for only 3 pieces to be submitted, so be sure to send in your best stuff/the work you can reasonably replicate the quality of!
