Regeren is vooruitzien.

The city where you can get lost in the streets without ever feeling lost. Where there's always a gelato or espresso just around the corner. Where the smallest places serve the best food and aperol spritz in a plastic cup tastes still a million times better than the one I get in a fancy glass at home and comes with a stunning view. Where I cannot pass a church without taking a peak inside and am always stunned by how grandiose the art in there is. Where you can bump into ancient history at any given moment when just walking the streets.
This was my first ever solo trip and I was nervous beforehand but I am so glad I did it. Had the most amazing time here and fell in love with this city all over again. It's been a whirlwind and I might have shed a few tears when I was taking in the city from the panoramic terrace on top of Il Vittoriano. And then some more when I was back in Belgium on the train home, cause I did not want this vacation to end. Nel mio cuore, per sempre.
When for years I had to endure a tasteless and useless (I say dangerously unable) “coach” (that loser Blengini) and I continuosly kept saying he was to be kicked in the curb or he would have lost us and ruined the bright talent of Giannelli, I was obviously right (I am always right about volley).
When Fefé was announced as our coach, I prayed he would have stepped in directly for the Olympics in Tokyo. Sadly he didn’t, and Italy sucked there.
Then he went on taking up the boys, teaching the volley he had been a shining cusp for the TM original Monster Generation, and after mere weeks our ItalVolley simply blossomed.
Fefè DeGiorgi has been a phenomenal setter.
Of course he knows still how to shape and guide a team.
Whatever happens tomorrow, we have a fantastic team which is going to entertain us for a long time.
Thank you FeFé: shine bright more with our new monster generation ❤️
