Accidentally set this post to one day, instead of one week. Unfortunately, we cannot edit polls, so we had to repost.

Moth Cape Design Catalog
Be sure to check the end of the post for more information, links, and how to order!
ANNOUNCEMENT: Custom made Moth capes are currently discontinued, although individual capes may appear in the shop. I intend to release patterns for all designs and sizes in the future.
Luna Moth
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A lighter cape with a looser drape. Pale turquoise minky fabric as a base, with appliqué in dark emerald and seafoam flannel. Lined in seafoam flannel with a soft white faux fur collar.
Rosy Maple Moth
Tumblr media
A warm and fuzzy cape! Yellow fleece with fluffy pink minky accents, a thick faux fur collar, and a yellow-and-pink flannel lining.
Emperor Gum Moth
Tumblr media
The same cape from the Moth Cape Pattern! Camel fleece base with medium and dark brown flannel accents. Lined with medium brown flannel and brown faux fur. Regular and Large sizes shown.
Mothman
Tumblr media
Everyone's favorite apocalyptic cryptid. Black flannel on black fleece with accents in charcoal grey and bright red. This cape ties shut instead of buttoning!
Cecropia Moth (Hyalophora cecropia)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A more detailed design with lots of appliqué. Features a charcoal grey base with appliqué in red and pale grey. Hand-embroidered black eyespots, lace trim, and a short fleecy faux fur collar.
Pink bullseye moth (Leucanella apollinairei)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The most complex cape! Dusty pink and lavender fleece base, lavender fleece lining. Appliqué in ivory, black, and yellow flannel, pink and purple fleece, gold piping, yellow topstitching. Long pink faux fur collar.
All capes are made to order. Photos are for example only, and colors or material may vary due to local availability. Custom orders with special requests may require an additional charge.
When they are available, order slots for all custom moth capes will be found here: (Shop Link)
When they are available, moth capes that are ready to ship will be found here: (none currently)
This post will be edited periodically to act as a catalog for the current designs! Reblogs may not be up-to-date, so check the links in the pinned post for the latest images and updates.

Back at it again with the Mothman AU ! Guess who’s writing a whole fanfiction about this dumb idea ?
Mephistopheles is a  Cerodirphia mota mothman and Providence is a Leucanella bonillensis moth(wo)man.
Adult moths (around 25) grow a “mane” kinda hard to hide under clothes, and some have their wing span augmenting drastically, to the point where they cover their entire body. They have complete control over their eyes.

Thought I'd put them together in one post:
March's moth: Erebus albicinctus (blue)
February's moth: Leucanella apollinaire (pink)
As a pair they gave me Magnet vibes, an excuse to draw the girls 💖💗👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩
