I frowned at the line of perverted comments following Sammi’s latest post to her Instagram, but I had to remind myself that she is a big girl who can take care of herself just fine on her own.

“She’s been managing just fine since I met Peter,” I muttered, looking up from my cell phone as Peter appeared in the doorway to our marital bedroom, cradling all of the babies- little girl, Baby Tommy, Baby Kit, Baby Eve and the Ratajczyk triplets in his arms. I quickly snapped a picture of my husband emitting 100% pure raw manliness from out of every pore.

In the meantime, Sammi had also logged into her online medical portal and updated her emergency contact information- from Mary Claire Bradley to Mary Claire Ratajczyk and added Peter Thomas Ratajczyk as a secondary contact. She had also confessed to me that she felt like she was going through a painful withdrawal from her past lifestyle of sex.

“I feel really weird,” she confessed to me as we both were watching the kids frolicking around in the backyard, Mittens supervising her furless kittens from Sammi’s lap. “It’s like that itch I would get that would tell me oh I need sex right now, but I don’t want sex right now. The backdoor opened and Daisy came out, making a spot by her patch of artificial grass to do her doggy business as Peter came over with a folder of paperwork.

“Okay, thanks,” she grinned up at him, accepting the mail that he handed her, sorting through everything with a quiet mutter.

“I’ll be in my office whenever you’re ready to come up and we’ll go through the paperwork together,” he offered, waiting for her as I lift Mittens off from her lap and she trudged off inside.

In the meantime, I returned my attention back to where Elizabeth and Katie were tossing leaves onto the babies, the entire gaggle of kids smiling and laughing the whole while.

“Look at your kittens play!” I told Mittens, giggling as Primrose spilled out from the house and made a mad scramble towards the kids, squealing loudly with happiness and joy the whole while. Baby Tommy picked up the skunklet, bringing her in for a quick cuddle before tossing her six inches into the leaf pile. Primrose popped out and went back over to the chubby little man in search of more.

Primrose bound up to little girl, sniffling at her shoes and squeaking. She giggled as she crouched down to pet the adorable spunky little skunk. Baby Noah toddled up next to little girl and tried to copy her stance only to fall backwards with a little cry.

Mittens jumped up off from my lap and was at the little almost two year old man side in a fraction of a second, pressing herself up to his fallen form, purring madly as she comforted him.

PUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUR

Baby Noah giggled as he reached out to gently tickle her between her ears, babbling quietly as he did so.

“Goo’ kitty,” he giggled as the motherly cat pressed herself in closer to the little man. “Goo’ kitty Middens!”

MEOW Mittens said, looking like she was in a blissful kitty heaven as the one and a half year old

In the meantime, Katie and Elizabeth were both setting the field for a game of flag football- Elizabeth, Baby Tommy and Baby Noah verses Katie, little girl and Mittens.

“Is that really fair?” I called out as the kids positioned themselves.

“Yup, seems pretty fair to me!” Katie shrugged before starting the game. “Blue jay, blue jay, hut hut!”

I only chuckled as the game started- sure enough, Mittens played well. She would spring onto Elizabeth’s chest and cause the babies to fall over and gently divert Baby Tommy and Baby Noah, all the while purring almost nonstop.

I did my mommy duty and cheered for the kids- I had no preferred teams, nor did I have any favorited players. They were all my kids, whether biologically related or not.

I was laughing at little girl, who had let out a feral scream before headbutting Baby Tommy, pushing Baby Noah down into the group before stealing the football from big sister Elizabeth Drew Ratajczyk’s hands and streaking across the backyard with the ball clenched in her little girl paws, cackling wildly much like a Halloween witch.

“Little girl! Are you playing nice?” I chided her, my laughter coming out silent with Mittens spray up out of nowhere and knocked the roughhousing four year old over. “Mittens!”

The cat paused to lick at her paw, looking up at me with cattish eyes.
