Feast of the Rose PSA:
not every rose-gift is solely used to obtain masquing! many of them have alternative uses and aren't available at other times of year, so here's a list: (excluding exclusively text uses)
Custom-Engraved Skulls can be used in the Bone Market, to add 100 echoes to the value of a skeleton (but also create exhaustion).
Antediluvian Ushabti can be consulted in the reflection of your lab to create Parabolan Research and Expertise of the Second City. It's a challenge that gets easier the more you have – you need 9 ushabti to 100% it.
Tiny Silver Kettles of Pickled Liars' Tongues can be sold to De Gustibus in Whitsun for 25 echoes and some unique text.
Pink-Painted Cats can be introduced to the Cub in the Dome of Scales (one of the few non-FATE-locked options!)
and the FATE gifts:
A Hamper of Heart-Cuts and a Rose-Bearing Maggot can be combined into a unique companion (though it's not very good.)
Heartwood Hearses are strict Best-in-Slot for Respectable (+3, Transport).
Lupercalian Masks and Tanned Masks are shared Best-in-Slot for BDR (+2, Hat).
A One Way Ticket on the 12:15 to Hell gives an alternate option in the early stages of the railway.
And finally, Sets of Martyr's Bones are shared Best-in-Slot for Respectable and BDR (+2, Home Comfort).
