Narul
Howdy, everyone! Not sure how many of you are gonna see this, but I thought I would introduce you all to the MC of my WIP, Testaments of the Green Sea, a fantasy story inspired by the world of the Bronze Age Near East.
-Narul is a forestfolk, that is to say, the descendent of a group of people physically changed by the effects of wild magic. Forestfolk are incredibly varied
-Because of his condition, Narul must undergo weekly treatments to keep the magic inside of him at bay
-Narul is currently a slave in the palace of Hutbari, king of Labisaj where he is marched around either as a bodyguard or as a sort of freak
-Narul is adopted, his original mother was a priestess of the goddess Sonma, his father is unknown. His adopted mother is a slave woman named Bira
-His best and only close friend, is his adoptive brother, Suru
-Narul is a massive man, supernaturally so. At 8’9” and quite large besides that. He is so large that the slave quarters had to be reconstructed just to fit him. His fingers are too big for most delicate tasks, and he is rather clumsy. He is additionally, as a result of his heritage, inhumanly strong, a fact of which he is keenly aware and fears.
-“The Pabaket's eyes locked on the figure behind Hutbari, and he was momentarily dumbstruck. The slave was towering and robust, head, shoulders, and chest, over anyone else in the room. His skin was like dulled copper, slightly darker than the various Labisaji nobles, if only because of his many hours in the sun. He was not so delicately and exquisitely proportioned as the statues of gods and kings that guarded the temples. He was far more brutish in his build, with large rough hands, a broad face with thick brows, and wide powerful shoulders. His bare chest was hairy, his jaw and head covered with a thick beard and neck-length curling black hair.” - Excerpt from Chapter 1
-Because of his size and strength, Narul has the potential to be quite dangerous to normal humans, as he has been repeatedly reminded of since his childhood. This has led to severe anxiety and a poor sense of self-esteem for the young (23) slave. Though he has had crushes on several men and women in the palace and beyond, he is too fearful of his own strength to commit himself to a relationship. Even if he wasn’t, he is painfully awkward when it comes to talking to people he may like
-While his gruff appearance frightens most that meet him, he is incredibly tender-hearted and not a particularly adventurous person, much to the constant bemusement of his much wilder and smaller brother, Suru.
-Bisexual Disaster XXXL
-As with most commoners, he is completely illiterate, though he can count
-His favorite color is orange, like the haasir flowers which decorate the streets during festivals
-The last time Narul was outside of the walls of Labisaj was when he was an infant
- Narul is surprisingly pious, if only because he worries the gods may punish him more than they seemingly already have. He will leave coins or scraps of food at the shrine of Jalbaba, patron god of forestfolk and spirits. This is one of the smaller and less respected shrines in the city. The patron of the city is the mountain goddess, Humbalibal
-His favorite food is a kind of fried barley cake called kipsha. Kipsha can be sweet or savory, with the most popular variety and Narul’s favorite, being smothered in honey, chopped figs, and black pepper
-Narul enjoys the performances that can be viewed at the festivals. Though he remembers all of the lines and jokes of the most popular poems and plays, they still make him cry

This combination is more than just a drink; it's a celebration in a glass, embodying the vibrant spirit of the Caribbean. Let's dive into how these two distinct flavors can come together to create an unforgettable tropical experience.
The Spirited Heart of the Caribbean: Jamaican Rum Punch
Tumblr media
Jamaican Rum Punch is a quintessential Caribbean cocktail that captures the heart and soul of island life. Known for its potent mix of rum, fruit juice, and a symphony of spices, it's a beverage that instantly enlivens your senses and sets the scene for a festive gathering.
The Recipe: The foundation of any great Jamaican Rum Punch lies in its balance of flavors - a harmonious blend of sour, sweet, strong, and weak components traditionally embodied by lime juice, sugar, rum, and water.
The Sweet Embrace of the Tropics: Mango Nectar Juice
With its rich, velvety texture and intense tropical flavor, Mango Nectar Juice stands as a testament to the mango's title as the king of fruits. This delectable juice adds a layer of exotic sweetness to any drink, making it a perfect complement to the spicy and robust notes of rum punch.
The Benefits: Beyond its irresistible flavor, Mango Nectar Juice is lauded for its nutritional benefits, including being a rich source of vitamins A and C, which are essential for immune health and skin vitality.
A Fusion Made in Paradise
Combining Jamaican Rum Punch with Mango Nectar Juice creates a drink that is both invigorating and soothing. The mango nectar adds a smooth, sweet contrast to the rum punch's lively kick, resulting in a beverage that is perfectly balanced and irresistibly tropical.
Crafting the Perfect Drink: To blend these flavors, start with your traditional rum punch recipe and introduce mango nectar juice as part of or in addition to the water component. Adjust the sweetness and tartness to your liking, and don't forget to add a splash of lime juice to elevate the mango's brightness.
Serving Suggestions
Serve this tropical fusion in a highball glass over ice, garnished with a slice of lime or a mango wedge. For an added touch of island flair, rim the glass with sugar or coconut flakes. It's the perfect accompaniment to a summer barbecue, a beach party, or any occasion that calls for a bit of Caribbean sunshine.
Conclusion
The fusion of Jamaican Rum Punch and Mango Nectar Juice is more than just a novelty; it's a testament to the power of combining flavors to create something truly extraordinary. FAQs
Q: What is Jamaican Rum Punch made of?
A: Jamaican Rum Punch is a vibrant cocktail made from a mix of rum (often dark or white rum), fruit juice (like pineapple, orange, or lime), a sweetener (such as simple syrup or sugar), and sometimes a dash of spice (like nutmeg or cinnamon) for added flavor.
Q: Can I use any type of rum for Jamaican Rum Punch?
A: Yes, you can use any type of rum you prefer. Traditional recipes often call for Jamaican white rum for its potent flavor, but dark rum can be used for a deeper, more molasses-like taste. Some recipes even use a combination of both to create a more complex flavor profile.
Q: Is Mango Nectar the same as mango juice?
A: Mango nectar and mango juice are similar but not the same. Mango nectar is thicker and may contain added sugar or sweeteners, whereas mango juice is usually thinner and made from pure fruit. For cocktails, mango nectar provides a richer mango flavor and sweetness.
Q: Can I make this drink non-alcoholic?
A: Absolutely! To enjoy a non-alcoholic version of this tropical fusion, simply substitute the rum with a non-alcoholic spirit or additional mango nectar and a splash of sparkling water for fizz. You'll still get the delicious mango and tropical fruit flavors without the alcohol.
Q: How can I adjust the sweetness of my Jamaican Rum Punch with Mango Nectar?
A: The sweetness can be adjusted by varying the amount of simple syrup, sugar, or mango nectar you add. If you prefer a less sweet cocktail, reduce the sweetener and increase the lime juice for a more tart profile. Taste as you go to find your perfect balance.
Q: What's the best way to serve this tropical drink?
A: This drink is best served over ice in a large glass, garnished with fresh mango slices, lime wheels, or a sprig of mint for an extra pop of color and freshness. For parties, consider serving it in a large punch bowl with a ladle so that guests can help themselves.
Q: Can I prepare Jamaican Rum Punch with Mango Nectar in advance?
A: Yes, you can mix the ingredients for the punch in advance and store it in the refrigerator. However, adding the ice and garnishes just before serving is best to keep it cool and fresh without diluting the flavors too much.
Q: Are there any variations to this recipe I can try?
A: There are numerous variations you can try. Experiment with different fruit juices like passion fruit, guava, or even coconut water for different tropical tastes. You can also play with the ratios of rum and mango nectar to suit your flavor preferences or add other fruits for garnish or infused flavors.
Q: Where can I find mango nectar for this recipe?
A: Mango nectar is available in most grocery stores, often located in the juice aisle or the international foods section. It can also be found in Caribbean specialty stores or online retailers that stock tropical or Caribbean food items.
Q: How long does homemade Jamaican Rum Punch last?
A: When stored properly in the refrigerator, homemade Jamaican Rum Punch can last for up to 5 days. Make sure it's kept in a sealed container or jug to maintain its best quality and flavor.

Tea vs. Coffee: Dawn's Great Duel for Dominance!
Get ringside seats to the ultimate brew brawl! Will coffee bean's bold punches stand up to tea leaf's subtle jabs? Uncover the hilariously intricate nuances of this dawn-time duel. Will your favorite be crowned the morning champion? Read on and steep yourself in the fun!
The sun rises. The birds chirp. The alarm clock buzzes, causing involuntary groans and a desperate reach for the snooze button. But eventually, the inevitable pull of consciousness yanks us from our dream-filled abyss into the world of the living. What follows next is a battle of epic proportions that rages in kitchens worldwide, every single dawn. It's the Clash of the Titans, the Battle of Helm's Deep, the Infinity War of beverages: Tea vs. Coffee: The Epic Battle for Morning Dominance!
Round 1: The Aroma Awakens
The first kiss of sunlight gently graces our sleeping world, and the grand theater of existence stirs from its slumber. Morning is here, and with it comes the age-old clash of titans in our kitchens. Behold, as the humble mug becomes a colosseum, hosting the most critical showdown of the day—Tea vs. Coffee: The Epic Battle for Morning Dominance!
Round 2: Coffee – The Robust Rouser
In the red corner, armed with its arsenal of caffeine, the bold and tenacious Coffee enters the scene. This energetic contender is nothing short of an adrenaline shot to the senses—a veritable powerpack, fully charged and ready to jolt the sleepiest of souls back into reality. A steaming cup of this bitter brew doesn't merely suggest that you wake up—it commands you to rise and face the day. Coffee is the drill sergeant of dawn, charging into battle with the battle cry, "Seize the day!"
Round 3: Tea – The Gentle Giant
In the blue corner, the pacifist of beverages, Tea, greets the morning with an eloquent bow. Don't let this delicate demeanor fool you. Tea is the beverage equivalent of a martial arts master—calm on the surface but packing a powerful punch. Its approach is stealthier, less invasive—a friendly nudge rather than a full-body shove. From the energetic dance of Earl Grey to the gentle lullaby of Chamomile, tea has something for everyone. It woos you into the world of consciousness, whispering, "Good morning, at your own pace."
Round 4: Health Benefits – The Power Punches
As our contenders spar, they start landing their blows. Coffee strikes with a jab, touting its high antioxidant content and potential protective effects against degenerative diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. Tea isn't down yet; it counters with a flurry of blows, boasting its own brew of antioxidants, coupled with a host of health benefits from improved heart health to weight management.
Round 5: The Achilles' Heel
Coffee, the heavyweight champion, is the go-to fuel of night owls and deadline warriors, offering a caffeinated kick that laughs in the face of sleep. But this strength comes at a cost, leading to an unfortunate jitteriness if over-consumed. On the other hand, Tea, the featherweight prodigy, is a philosopher's dream—gentle, varied, sophisticated. Yet, in its tranquil wake-up call, it risks being too quiet, too calm, making us yearn for that extra oomph.
Final Round: A Personal Battle
The bell rings. The round is over. So, who's the victor in this grand caffeine clash? It's less about the universal title and more about personal preference. Are you a card-carrying member of the "Jolt Me Awake" Coffee Club, or are you an advocate for the "Soothing Serenade" Tea Tribe?
Winner Takes it All?
This grandiose contest, this epic Battle for Morning Dominance, is a recurring spectacle, playing out every dawn around the world. Whether you're a coffee enthusiast or a tea lover, the essence isn't about which side you choose. It's about the shared ritual of embracing the day, the comfort of a warm beverage, and the tranquil moment when we pause before plunging into the day's chaos.
This epic battle for morning dominance will continue to play out on breakfast tables across the globe, its warriors steadfast, its fans loyal. Whether you're a coffee connoisseur or a tea aficionado, in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter which side you're on. What truly matters is the shared appreciation for that magical moment in the morning when you wrap your hands around your favorite brew, take a deep breath, and prepare to take on the world. Because, let's face it, whether you're #TeamCoffee or #TeamTea, we're all ultimately on #TeamWakeUp!
Tumblr media
Okay! If you’re confused let me tell you the tale of two brave warriors: COFFEE and TEA through another perspective:
Once upon a time, in a land full of early morning grumpiness and bleary-eyed wakefulness, two mighty beverage warriors entered the arena. On one side, you had the energetic, buzzworthy champion, Coffee, filled with adrenaline-pumping caffeine, a personality akin to a triple shot of espresso. Dark, bold, a kick-start straight to the heart, it's no wonder that this brew has a cult-like following of bleary-eyed disciples eager for their morning Java jolt.
On the other side of the ring, you had the genteel but persuasive challenger, Tea. Don't let the refined aura fool you. Tea is a chameleon. It can be anything you want it to be—calm and soothing as a Chamomile lullaby, or as sprightly and zesty as a lemon-ginger infusion. It slides into your morning routine with the grace of a ballet dancer, providing a gentle awakening rather than an alarm clock ambush.
So, who wins this bout for morning dominance? It's like asking to choose between Superman and Batman, each with their unique charm and strengths. For those that favor a bolt of morning thunder, Coffee lands the first punch. Its rich, robust flavor and that caffeine jolt can jumpstart even the foggiest of morning brains. Coffee says, "Wake up, The World is waiting!" It doesn’t request; it insists. It’s the liquid equivalent of a drill sergeant at 5 a.m., and its fans wouldn't have it any other way.
Tumblr media
Yet, the understated Tea counters with a charm offensive. A favorite from Buckingham Palace to the roadside stalls of Kolkata, it offers variety—an Earl Grey for the sophisticated palate, Chai for the spice-lovers, or a gentle Green for the Zen masters. For many, Tea's caffeine caress is preferable to Coffee's power-punch. It coaxes you awake, gently nudges you towards daytime. Tea murmurs, "Rise and shine, take your time." It’s the soothing voice of a yoga instructor guiding your sun salutations, warming your soul even as it opens your eyes.
As the rounds go on, they spar over health benefits. Coffee lands a jab with its high antioxidant levels and potential protective effects against ailments like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. Tea counters with a one-two combo of its own antioxidants, plus a range of benefits from improved heart health to weight loss and cholesterol control.
Coffee, the dark knight, is the fuel of all-nighters, the creative's companion, the worker’s morning handshake. Yet, its strength is also its weakness—too much, and you're on a jittery rollercoaster ride.
Tea, the zen warrior, is the beverage of philosophers, poets, those who prefer a gentle dawn to a sonic boom. But let’s be honest—sometimes, it’s just too Zen, and we might nod off during our morning meeting.
So, who stands victorious in this caffeine clash? It's a question of personality, of lifestyle. Are you Team "Gimme a Gallon of Go-juice" Coffee, or are you in the "Sereni-Tea Now" Tea squad?
Whether you're championing the bold flavors of coffee or celebrating the subtleties of tea, we all know that at the end of the day (or rather, the beginning), we're all winners in the Battle of the Brews!

The Best Shades And Blinds For Every Room In Your Home
Any homeowner wants the best shades and blinds when it comes to decorating the windows. Window treatments are a sophisticated blend of style and function. They not only decorate your home and work environment, but they also serve a purpose. The tasks that your window treatments must perform may vary depending on the specifics of the room. The windows in each room will also have various needs that must be met in order to get the best performance out of your window coverings. In this blog we will discuss about the best shades and blinds for every room in your home
The first step in working with a Sun Blinds YYC design professional is to examine the demands of the room and the windows inside that space. In order to create the finest recommendations for your window coverings, they evaluate all of the practical aspects of the room as well as your personal needs or preferences. Here are some of the factors they analyse before providing suggestions.
Light control
Energy efficiency
Privacy
Views
Aesthetics
Now that we've covered a few of the major points, we'll go through your home's many rooms and examine which window coverings would best fulfil the practical needs of each space.
Window Treatments for Living Room
When someone enters your home, the living room is usually the first room they see. This is where you may introduce yourself and show-off the sense of style, personality, and vibe you wish to create for your entire home.
Vertical blinds maybe an excellent choice for your living room if you require privacy and light control. Vertical blinds are a fashionable alternative for windows that are broader than they are tall, and they can make your ceilings appear higher. They can be partially opened to let in some natural light while yet maintaining some privacy.
Best Shades and Blinds for Bedroom
Perhaps long flowing drapes aren't your taste, but you like the notion of fabric window treatments because of the many possibilities available. The window treatments for your bedroom are then Roman shades. Roman shades add a stunning aesthetic border to the window while remaining within the window's framework. When they are closed, they will block out the bulk of the light coming in through the window and provide some seclusion. The amount of light that is blocked depends on the material of the Roman shades. They can also be partially lifted to expose some of the shade's colour and pattern while leaving a portion of the window open.
Window Treatments for Dining Room
Dining rooms are places for people to meet and celebrate. Most of these functions will take place during meal times, therefore while looking for window treatments for your dining area, consider the direction your windows face. Your dining room is an excellent setting for both elegance and powerful statements. Feel free to inject some theatrical flair into this space.
Long, cascading side panels will instantly add elegance and grace to your dining room. Panels frame your windows, allowing natural light to enter. Top treatments are an excellent addition to panels, adding an extra design element for a "wow" factor to your space. Panels can be used to create texture and depth to your room by layering them on top of other window coverings.
Window Treatments for Kitchen
The purpose of the windows in the kitchen is to bring in plenty of natural light. Nobody wants a dimly lit kitchen. The fundamental purpose of kitchen window treatments should be to frame your windows while not restricting light. Depending on where your windows are, you may want to think about the material used for your window treatments.
Faux wood blinds have the look of real wood but are far more robust and resistant to dampness. They are also quite adaptable in terms of light control. Depending on whether they are open, closed, or partially open, they can allow in as much or as little light as required.
Window Treatments for Bathroom
Bathroom windows are designed to let in light while maintaining a certain level of privacy.
Vinyl shutters are one of the most durable window treatments for bathrooms and will endure much longer in humid environments. They also require the least amount of care, which is another advantage of incorporating them into your bathroom. Vinyl shutters have the appearance of wood shutters and are resistant to moisture and humidity.
Conclusion
So, these were some of the best shades and blinds you can choose for every room in your house. Window treatments play an important role in ensuring that each area serves its primary function while also adding beauty and elegance to the space. Sun Blinds YYC has what you need no matter which part of your home you want to update with window treatments. Little Red Brocket Size: Facts, Habitat & Diet
Tumblr media
Little red brockets are not your average deer species. They may be small in size, but they are mighty jumpers and have unique physical features that set them apart from other deer. Found in Central and South America, these nocturnal animals prefer to live in dense forests and brushy areas. In this article, we'll delve into the fascinating world of little red brockets, exploring their distinctive characteristics, behavior patterns, and more. So let's get started without wasting any time!
Physical Characteristics of Little Red Brocket (including size and dimensions)
Little Red Brocket is a small deer species that can be found in Central and South America. Despite its small size, Little Red Brocket has a muscular build and can weigh up to 25 kg. In this section, we will discuss the physical characteristics of the Little Red Brocket, including its size and dimensions. Height The Little Red Brocket typically stands at a height of 60-70 cm at the shoulder. This makes it one of the smallest deer species in the world. The height of the Little Red Brocket varies slightly between males and females. Males are usually slightly taller than females. Length The length of the Little Red Brocket ranges from 90 to 120 cm. Females are usually slightly smaller than males. The compact and robust body of the Little Red Brocket gives it a distinctive appearance. Its short legs and short tail make it look even more compact. Weight As mentioned earlier, despite its small size, the Little Red Brocket has a muscular build and can weigh up to 25 kg. This is quite impressive considering its relatively small size compared to other deer species. Other Physical Characteristics Apart from its height, length, and weight, several other physical characteristics are unique to the Little Red Brocket. For example, it has large ears that help it detect predators or other threats in its environment. It also has sharp hooves that allow it to navigate through dense vegetation with ease.
Diet and Habitat of Little Red Brocket
Tumblr media
Little red brockets are fascinating animals that inhabit the dense forests of South America. These small deer-like creatures have a special diet and habitat that allows them to survive in their natural environment. Diet Little red brockets are herbivores, which means they primarily feed on leaves, fruits, and flowers. They have a selective feeding behavior and will avoid consuming plants that are toxic or have a strong odor. This helps them maintain a healthy diet while avoiding potential dangers. Their diet consists of various plant species including palms, bromeliads, ferns, and other undergrowth vegetation. They also consume fallen fruits from trees such as figs and guavas. Habitat Little red brockets prefer to live in dense forests with a lot of undergrowth where they can find food and shelter from predators. These areas provide them with the necessary cover to hide from predators while also giving them access to their preferred food sources. They are found in different types of forests such as tropical rainforests, deciduous forests, cloud forests, and montane forests. Their habitat is typically located near rivers or streams where they can easily access water for drinking. Behavior Little red brockets are primarily active during the night when they search for food. During the day, they rest in shaded areas to avoid the heat of the sun. They are shy animals that tend to avoid human contact whenever possible. These animals have excellent senses that help them detect potential danger from predators such as jaguars and pumas. When threatened by predators or humans, little red brockets will freeze in place hoping not to be noticed, or run away at high speed using their powerful legs.
Exceptional Swimming Abilities of Little Red Brocket
Little red brockets are fascinating creatures that have adapted to living in marshes and rivers. One of their most remarkable abilities is their exceptional swimming skills, which they use to navigate through the water with ease. Red Brockets and Their Environment Red brockets are small deer species that live in South America. They are named after their reddish-brown coloration and markings, which provide excellent camouflage in marshy areas. These areas are dense with vegetation, making it difficult for predators to spot them. Their long legs and slender tail make them well-suited for swimming and maneuvering through the water. They can easily swim across rivers and streams, using their legs as paddles while holding their tails straight out behind them for balance. The Solitary Nature of Male Red Brockets Male red brockets are typically solitary animals, but during mating season, they will venture into areas with higher concentrations of females to increase their chances of finding a mate. This behavior allows them to spread their genes more widely throughout the population. Protection of Offspring Red brockets give birth to one offspring at a time and will often hide their young in grasses near the water's edge for protection. This strategy helps keep the young safe from predators while allowing the mother to forage for food without worrying about her offspring.
Scientific Classification of Little Red Brocket
Tumblr media

Habitat Little Red Brockets are native to Central and South America, where they inhabit dense forests, shrublands, grasslands, and even agricultural areas close to water sources such as rivers or streams. They have adapted well to living in fragmented landscapes caused by human activities such as agriculture or deforestation; however, this also puts them at risk due to habitat loss. Diet Little Red Brockets are herbivores that feed on a variety of plants, including leaves, fruits, and flowers. They are known to browse on young shoots and twigs as well. Threats The biggest threat to Little Red Brocket is habitat loss due to deforestation and agriculture. Hunting for meat or sport also poses a significant risk to their population. Conservation Status Little Red Brocket is listed as "Least Concern" by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). However, some subspecies are facing threats due to habitat loss and hunting.
Habitat and Distribution of Little Red Brocket
Little Red Brocket, a species of deer, is native to Central and South America. They are commonly found in dense forests, especially in areas with thick undergrowth. Little Red Brocket prefers to live in areas with a high humidity level and abundant water sources. They are known to inhabit lowland rainforests, montane forests, and cloud forests. Solitary Animal Little Red Brocket is a solitary animal that prefers to live in areas with little human disturbance. They are most active during the early morning and late afternoon hours when they come out to feed on leaves, fruits, bark, and flowers. During the day, they rest in dense vegetation or underbrush. Habitat Loss The range of Little Red Brocket has been significantly reduced due to habitat loss caused by deforestation and human activities. These animals have lost their natural habitats due to logging operations, mining activities, agricultural expansion, urbanization, and hunting for meat or sport. As a result of these threats and habitat loss over the years across its range in Central America from southern Mexico through Panama into northwestern Colombia; this species is listed as Near Threatened (NT) on the IUCN Red List.
Threats to Little Red Brocket and Conservation Efforts
Tumblr media
Little Red Brocket is a species of deer that is native to Central and South America. Despite being an important part of the forest ecosystem, it has been classified as "Least Concern" by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), which means there is not enough information available to determine its conservation status. Threats to Little Red Brocket The main threats to Little Red Brocket come from human activities. Habitat loss due to deforestation and forest fragmentation is one of the biggest threats. As forests are cleared for agriculture, cattle ranching, and other uses, the deer's habitat shrinks, making it harder for them to find food and shelter. Hunting by humans is another major threat. Little Red Brocket are hunted for their meat and hides, which are used in traditional medicine. This hunting pressure can have a significant impact on local populations. Predation by natural predators such as jaguars and pumas also poses a threat to Little Red Brocket. While these predators play an important role in maintaining healthy ecosystems, they can also prey on deer populations if their numbers become too low. Conservation Efforts Conservation efforts for Little Red Brocket focus on protecting its forest habitat, promoting sustainable land use practices, and reducing hunting pressure through education and enforcement of laws. Protecting forests means preserving the specific vegetation that Little Red Brocket relies on for grazing. It also means preventing further deforestation or fragmentation of existing forests. Promoting sustainable land use practices involves finding ways for people to make a living without resorting to activities that harm wildlife. For example, agroforestry techniques can help farmers grow crops while still preserving forest cover. Reducing hunting pressure requires educating people about the importance of conserving wildlife like Little Red Brocket. It also requires enforcing laws that prohibit hunting or limit hunting quotas in areas where these deer are found. Little Red Brocket's Adaptations Little Red Brocket is adapted to closed-canopy forests, which means it lives in areas where the tree canopy is so dense that very little light reaches the forest floor. This habitat protects from predators and helps regulate temperature and humidity. The deer also relies on specific vegetation for grazing, making it vulnerable to habitat loss and degradation. As forests are cleared or fragmented, the plants that Little Red Brocket depend on may disappear, making it harder for them to find food. Research Needs More research is needed to better understand the population size and distribution of Little Red Brocket, as well as its ecological role in forest ecosystems. This information can help conservationists develop more effective strategies for protecting this species.
Little Red Brocket in Walker's Mammals of the World (Fifth Edition)
Little Red Brocket is a subspecies of the red brocket deer, which belongs to the family Cervidae in the order Artiodactyla. This species of brocket deer is found in Central and South America. In this article, we will discuss Little Red Brocket in detail and explore its characteristics. Characteristics These animals are small to medium-sized and brown. They have no antlers, which makes them vulnerable to predators such as jaguars and pumas. Little Red Brocket feeds on fruit, leaves, fungi, and trees. They are also hunted for their meat in countries like Ecuador. Reproduction Reproduction in this species is not well documented. However, it is known that they mate throughout the year with peak mating season from March to May. The gestation period lasts for about 7 months after which a single young one is born. Habitat Little Red Brocket prefers dense forests with thick undergrowth where they can hide from predators easily. These animals are mainly found at elevations ranging from sea level up to 1,800 meters above sea level. Conservation Status The conservation status of Little Red Brocket is currently listed as "Least Concern" by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). However, their population has been declining due to habitat loss caused by deforestation and hunting.
Economic Importance of Little Red Brocket for Humans: Positive and Negative
Humans have a complex relationship with the little red brocket, a species of deer found in parts of South America. While the animal is hunted for food by some communities, it can also cause damage to agricultural fields, leading to negative economic impacts on farmers. Hunting for Food In many rural areas of South America, the little red brocket is an important source of protein for local communities. Hunting this species is often done sustainably and within legal limits, providing a valuable food source for those who live in remote areas where other sources of protein may be scarce. However, overhunting can lead to population declines and even extinction, which would have long-term negative economic impacts on both humans and the environment. Therefore, it's essential to regulate hunting practices to ensure that they are sustainable and not detrimental to the species' survival. Damage to Agricultural Fields While little red brockets play an important role in their natural ecosystem by dispersing seeds and maintaining plant diversity, they can also cause significant damage to agricultural fields. This can result in crop losses and financial hardships for farmers who rely on these crops as their primary source of income. To mitigate these negative impacts, farmers may implement measures such as fencing or scare tactics to deter wildlife from entering their fields. Conservation efforts aimed at protecting natural habitats can help reduce conflicts between wildlife and humans. Ecotourism Little red brockets also play a role in ecotourism, which can bring revenue into local communities through activities such as wildlife-watching tours. These tours provide visitors with an opportunity to see these animals in their natural habitat while supporting local economies. However, ecotourism must be managed carefully to ensure that it does not negatively impact the species or its habitat. Unregulated tourism can lead to habitat destruction or disturbance of wildlife populations if not properly managed. Scientific Research and Conservation Efforts Little red brockets are also crucial for scientific research and conservation efforts. Studying these animals can provide valuable insights into their behavior, ecology, and genetics. This information can be used to inform conservation strategies aimed at protecting the species and its habitat. Conservation efforts can have long-term economic benefits by preserving natural habitats that provide ecosystem services such as clean water, air, and food. Protecting these resources is essential for human well-being and sustainable economic development.
Understanding the Importance of Little Red Brocket Size
The Little Red Brocket is a small deer species that inhabits the forests of Central and South America. While their size may be small, their impact on their ecosystem is significant. In terms of physical characteristics, Little Red Brockets are typically between 60-80 cm in height and weigh around 20-30 kg. Their small size allows them to easily navigate dense forest areas, making them well-adapted to their environment. Their diet consists mainly of leaves, fruits, and flowers found in the forest understory. They are also known for their exceptional swimming abilities, which allow them to cross rivers and streams with ease. From a conservation standpoint, it is essential to understand the habitat and distribution of Little Red Brockets. They can be found throughout much of Central and South America but are particularly abundant in Brazil and Bolivia. Unfortunately, these animals face several threats due to habitat loss caused by deforestation for agricultural purposes or human settlement. However, there are ongoing conservation efforts aimed at protecting this species from extinction. In conclusion, while the Little Red Brocket's size may be small compared to other deer species, it plays an important role in its ecosystem. We must continue to study and protect this species so that future generations can appreciate its unique characteristics and contributions to our planet's biodiversity. - Dwarf Brocket: Facts, Habitat & Pictures - Interesting Facts about the Bawean Deer – Habitat & Population   - Referans: Mazama rufina - Little red brocket Read the full article

Mind Spirit Body Hypnosis
Once you consider Mind Spirit Body Hypnosis , what would you visualize? For several, it's a clock-swinging magician or perhaps a comedy act that forces an unwitting volunteer to make embarrassing public admissions on stage.
But hypnosis includes a surprisingly robust scientific framework. Clinical research shows that it will also help relieve pain and anxiety and aid smoking cessation, weight loss, and sleep. It can benefit children and adolescents better regulate their feelings and behaviors. Some individuals may also use “self-hypnosis” to manage stress, cope with life's challenges, and enhance their physical and emotional health.
Hypnosis creates “a non-judgmental immersive experience,” says Dr. David Spiegel, a Stanford University psychiatrist and leading researcher of hypnosis. This has been used in various forms for centuries, however it wasn't until 1843 that the Scottish surgeon Dr. James Braid popularized the term “hypnosis.” Braid's central discovery—that concentration can guide the mind toward a far more suggestible state—was and remains controversial. But physicians have continued to check and teach the technique on the centuries with great success, Spiegel says.
Today, a psychiatrist, psychiatrist, and other healthcare professional certified in hypnotherapy will first screen a potential client due to their capability to be hypnotized utilizing a validated suggestibility scale. (Not many people are equally susceptible to hypnosis , but research has discovered that about two-thirds of adults are.) The hypnotherapist will talk with them about what kind of sensory experiences make them feel safe, such as for instance a lakeshore retreat or perhaps a beach vacation. Then, the hypnotherapist will conjure that imagery—focusing, for instance, on the salt spray of the ocean, seagulls calling overhead, and sun-kissed skin—to simply help the individual go deeper to the calming visualization. If done right, the patient's physical surroundings will melt away.
The effect is a powerful mixture of dissociation, immersion, and openness to new experiences, which culminates in that which was once called a “trance,” but which modern hypnotherapists simply refer to as a “hypnotic state.” It could be achieved in just a couple of minutes, Spiegel says.
Such scene-setting techniques can make the perfect stage for positive transformation, says Binghamton University psychology professor Steven Jay Lynn. During hypnosis , people tend to be more ready to accept the suggestions of the hypnotherapist, whether those ask the patient to detach themselves from a past painful experience or visualize an answer for their problem. For a lot of, these changes might be catalyzed in a one- or two-hour session. For others, hypnotherapy or self-hypnosis can be a regular part of the mental health care. “ Hypnosis can modify consciousness in lots of ways,” Lynn says.
This state of deep relaxation isn't particularly difficult for most people to dive into or emerge from. It's just like a “flow state,” Spiegel says, or an improved state of consciousness in which a person is really immersed in certain activity, their focus narrows and their sense of time shifts. It's also similar to what are the results during meditation, except instead of training individuals to tune into the present moment, hypnosis makes them more receptive to suggestion. Like meditation practice, many individuals are designed for doing hypnosis independently, Spiegel says. In 2020, he co-founded Reveri, a subscription-based self-hypnosis app that's structured as being similar to Calm or Headspace. A person can access recordings that guide them in to a hypnotized state, after which it they're given suggestions or statements that lead them toward a goal the individual selects before the session. “We get it done all the time,” Spiegel says of entering and exiting these mental states, “but in hypnosis you get it done more.”
Brain-imaging studies have helped to illuminate what are the results inside the hypnotized brain, though much still remains a mystery. During hypnosis , activity in a brain region that helps people switch between tasks quiets down, Spiegel says. This same region appears to disconnect from another area in charge of self-reflection and daydreaming—which can be why hypnotized people aren't worried about who they're or what they're doing. Researchers have discovered that Mind Spirit Body Hypnosis can calm brain regions that help control autonomic functions like heartbeat, blood flow, and breathing. This is likely what results in the physical relaxation that is a hallmark of hypnosis , Spiegel says.
One of the very interesting modern applications of hypnosis is in the operating room, says Lorenzo Cohen, director of the Integrative Medicine Program at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. For some localized breast cancer surgeries, namely lumpectomies, the middle lets patients select from general anesthesia or perhaps a localized anesthetic and hypnotherapy. Those that choose the next option remain fully awake during their surgery, but a hypnotherapist first helps them enter a state of deep relaxation, or “hypnosedation,” Cohen says. “The local [anesthesia] must certanly be doing its thing,” Cohen says. “The remainder is in your head.”
More than 30 clinical trials have affirmed the usage of hypnosedation, says Cohen (who is also researching the practice). Studies have shown that folks who received hypnosedation experienced less preoperative anxiety, required less pain medication during surgery, and reported less post-operative pain intensity, nausea, fatigue, and discomfort than individuals who chose general anesthesia, Cohen says. “The hypothesis is that the patients who're under general anesthesia, although they're not conscious, are having an intense stress response,” he says. This may suppress an immune protection system that, in cancer patients, is compromised by the illness and its treatments. When patients choose hypnosis , Cohen believes the body's fight-or-flight response might be reduced.
Regardless of the mounting evidence, hypnosis is not without skeptics. Randomized controlled trials have found that hypnosis can assistance with pain and anxiety of a selection of medical conditions, but even the very best studies can't meet the gold-standard of a double-blind design, Spiegel says. While patients and practitioners may be kept in the dark about what pill they're administering or receiving, it's almost impossible to design a study where neither side knows hypnosis is being delivered, he adds.
And historically, the ability of hypnosis hasn't been wielded responsibly. The imaginative potential of hypnosis has been shown to produce false memories—sometimes with devastating effects. At the least 27 states ban hypnotically-elicited testimony from appearing in court. Hypnotherapists should avoid utilizing the technique to “recover” memories, Lynn says.
However when conducted by a qualified professional and properly applied, modern hypnotherapy can provide powerful results. Susceptibility to suggestion is usually “viewed as a liability or perhaps a weakness,” Spiegel says, “but it is a strength.”

Shawn Mendes and dealing with anger (birth chart reading)
Tumblr media
Shawn opened up about a fight he had with his girlfriend, Camila Cabello. This is what he told Justin Baldoni on his podcast: “I raised my voice at her, and she was like, ‘I don’t like it when you raise your voice. Why did you raise your voice?’ And I got so defensive. I was like, ‘I wasn’t raising my voice at you!’ And I did raise my voice at her.” He “felt her shrink,” “And I was like, ‘Oh god, this is the worst.’ I’m so terrified of being evil. I’m so scared to be bad.”
I found his reaction intriguing and decided to dive into his birth chart. We don't have his time of birth, so this reading lacks some elements. But let's see what we can find regarding the signs and the aspects of his planets.
[this is just my analysis and is for entertainment purposes only]
Sun opposite Uranus
This opposition often shows someone who is naturally very anxious and stressed out. The electric and erratic energy of Uranus clashes with the vibrant and all-powerful Sun. This opposition is like having Sun-Mars on steroids. The native gets stressed out quickly and tends to have impulsive reactions. Shawn has his Sun in Leo, a proud and individualistic sign. When his ego feels threatened, he reacts unpredictably.
Mars conjunct Venus
Some astrologers believe this conjunction in a man's chart is a red flag. I still haven't worked with enough clients who have experienced this energy in relationships or have this conjunction in their chart, so I can't confirm or deny it. But Shawn's Mars is at 22°, a critical degree in astrology. Something challenging is attached to his Mars in Cancer, the planet that represents drive, passion, and anger in astrology. The fact that Mars is in fall in the sign of Cancer doesn't help. Mars struggles with the Cancerian energy.
Mars opposite Neptune and trine Jupiter
Neptune adds confusion to anything it touches. This aspect shows someone who struggles to focus his anger. He might feel the heat rise without understanding why he feels this way. The challenging aspects of Mars-Neptune often don't make sense. The trine to Jupiter would expand his Mars and make the energy more robust and considerable. This trine is helpful regarding his career or the things he wants to achieve, but not so much for his anger.
Is Shawn a monster? No. His Mars in Cancer is already very protective and will fight back when threatened by the unfamiliar. His Sun in Leo is proud, and he struggles with criticism and judgment. The opposition to Uranus makes him nervous, and the energy combined show someone who responds in a very electric way to unpleasant situations. A fight with his girlfriend (I think she is his first real girlfriend) would activate this astrological pattern present in his chart. Knowing how to argue with these natives is essential. It is crucial to avoid screaming and shouting, take time to explain things, and not blame the other person openly ("It's your fault!").

shinrin-yoku (Ethan x MC)
Book: Open Heart Pairing: Dr Ethan Ramsey x F!MC (Dr Noelle Valentine) Word Count/Rating: ~1.7k, PG Summary: When life's difficulties hit, Noelle navigates her way through them by turning to the nature. Category: Hurt & Comfort Warnings: mentions of trauma
A/N: May is a Mental Health Awareness month and here in the UK the theme is nature. My MC, just like me, runs to the woods when things get tough. It helps her clear her head and reconnect with inner strength.
I struggle with mental health myself and it’s important for me to speak up and address the subject. There is nothing worse than shaming or discrediting someone’s difficult feelings. It’s fine not to be fine.
If you struggle alone, please don’t. My inbox will welcome you with open arms. Two heads are better than one, even if we just complain, at least we can complain together 💜
For @choicesmaychallenge2021 Day 13 - Mental Health
Tumblr media
SHINRIN-YOKU - A Japanese term for ‘forest bathing’ or the sense of well-being you experience while in nature.
~~
It all starts with a seed. This tiny element which, without aid, is sentenced to certain death. But give it the right soil. Give it water, sun. And it can grow. Into something big. Powerful. Scary.
~~
She is five years old.
They live in a townhouse, a classy Victorian era building. Undistinguished, one of many merging into the background of a typical London street. The colors are also very standard,  dirty white married to ivory beige, bar for the deep green door - their rebel child.
For the random passerby, it’s nothing special. But for her, the walls of a storey house encapsulate the whole world.
The garden behind the house is neat and clean, visibly well taken care of. She doesn’t remember exact details anymore, but she remembers begging her parents to go camping in the garden with her brother. The ticklish feeling of long and slim blades of grass on her tiny feet. Looking at the stars with pure awe and delight, that only the unspoiled mind of a child is capable of.
The plot of land that the house has been built on borders a beautiful forest. A wooden fence separates the two.
To her, it’s a passage to a magical world.
A world without any particular order, living its own life, unconstricted by rules. Not in the slightest does it resemble the garden on her side of the fence, where things grow according to the rules laid out by the adults.
There is a feeling inside her that she’s too young to name, to throw it in lingual context. It’s not until years later that she realized what it had been. Freedom. To grow however you please. To be what you want to be.
Robust, effuse trees tower over her, making her feel so small. As if she hasn’t already been feeling small enough, living in a world full of giants.
But they mean something else too. They bring a secret and a promise. Promise of a bigger world out there, far from the confines of the place she calls home.
The forest draws her, singing a melody that only her heart can understand. One day, she will be a part of it.
~~
She lives the teenage dream life.
That’s what everyone says.
She doesn’t have any real problems. She’s lucky not having to worry about money. She’s got friends. Her family is great. She just needs to stop whining. Her life is perfect.
Their words, not hers.
None of them know what happens behind closed doors.
The childhood forest is a cloudy memory. Her home is now thousands of miles away, in a city with a giant red bridge, which for some bizarre reason has ‘golden’ in its name.
But the call from nature doesn’t care about distance. It can find you about anywhere. It’s different and yet the same.
Because nature beats in one rhythm and speaks in the same language, everywhere.
The morning is chilly and humid. She’s wearing a wooly coat, carelessly threw on a pair of PJs hiding underneath.
Her steps are brisk, breathing short and heartbeat elevated. Something’s bothering her blanched face.
The voice, again.
When it first appeared, she thought it had her best interest at heart. Used to give her advice and like a good friend, ream her out when she did something bad.
Over time, things took a turn for the worse.
Snarky comments. Casually mentioned wrongdoings. Feedback on what she could have done better, differently.
Noelle hoped the voice would go away on its own.
It hasn’t.
Not only did the voice not go away, but it was actually growing stronger with each passing day. Became more vocal. Judgmental. Openly hostile.
It fed on her fears.
It’s your fault - it told her - that your parents are getting divorced.
You are not good enough.
Even a lie, repeated enough times, will finally become the truth. And so it did for her, to the point where she couldn’t distinguish her own voice from the voice of the tormentor. Sounds faded into one.
Whoever said words can cut like a knife was right. But those who knew thoughts could leave scars that are much deeper, were truly wise.
The young, beautiful girl who never hurt a soul, became a hostage. A prisoner locked in the jail of her own head.
A giant tear rolled down her face. Made of all the words her heart couldn’t say.
She hugged the tree tightly and inhaled the woodsy aroma, the scent filling her lungs fully.
It’s sensuous.
Just like that, she is small again.
~
She’s got all that she ever wanted.
Degree from one of the best medical schools. Graduating with honors and glowing recommendations from even the strictest professors, who kept assuring her that her future in medicine is so bright it’s actually blinding. Then, a dreamy residency in one of the most prestigious hospitals in the country.
Pretty impressive, right? Even a fool could see that. But the only fool whose opinion she cared about, couldn’t. All these things were clearly not good enough for Ethan Ramsey to stay.
She wasn’t good enough for him to stay.
Not longer than a year ago he was just a concept, an ideal without a face, body and voice. To her, he was a celebrity, a hero, someone whom mortals don’t have access to.
It was preposterous to consider for even a second Dr Ramsey could actually see something in an intern.
Standing among the moss-covered trees, every fiber of her being was filled with the thought of him.
Did the Amazonian forest remind him of her, just like every forest around reminded her of him?
Just when she won the battle for her career, she lost another. Because life had to be a zero-sum game.
As painful as that would have been, she wished she had something to hold onto. A scene she could replay in her mind. An image of him walking away. Or saying goodbye.
But he left without a word.
That was the pattern. That was history repeating itself.
She took her shoes off and stepped on the soil frosted with morning dew. It’s cold and wet. It’s refreshing. She is grounding. Reconnecting with Earth.
Tunes in with the rivers of grass, towers of trees, fences of bushes.
If the trees could speak, they’d tell stories not many people would believe in.
Tales of heartbreaks. Parables of spirits.
They are all nature’s poems.
Hauntingly beautiful. Riveting. Written without a single word.
Because nature speaks its very own language that only the soul, not the mind, can understand.
Pain is ripping her apart. But it reminds her that she’s alive. And this, in itself, is a miracle.
~~
She doesn’t know who she is anymore.
Some people call her a survivor. But it doesn’t feel like the right word. So many things in her died. So much was lost.
The attack took a lot from her. Danny. Bobby. Sense of security. Identity. Direction.
Right and wrong, good and bad, righteous and vicious. These are all just words. Someone needs to come and teach her the meaning of them anew. Draw lines, mark out frontiers. Save her from herself.
The ground is soaked. Torrential rain turned the soil into soft mud, warm and easily slipping through her fingers. She falls on her knees, praying for the ground to consume her.
Fill every part of her. Silence the internal cacophony. To sink into oblivion.
Not many people knew about the panic attacks and recurring nightmares. They’re always the same.
She’s standing in the middle of a swamp. Danny and Bobby are drowning, their arms reaching out for her. She knows she can only save one of them. She runs out of time trying to figure out how to save both. As a result, they both die. Time stands still and yet everything is spinning, moving, racing. The reality is a riot of overbright colours.
Suddenly, a ring breaks the silence. A polyphonic intruder. She looks at the screen through hooded eyes and notices the caller’s name. It’s him. He’s petrified. Worried to death. Asks her to stay where she is.
Some time later, maybe 10 minutes, maybe an hour - who knows? - he emerges from the gathering of stocky oaks.
The moment he catches the sight of her, he starts running. She notices a lab coat underneath the jacket. He’s soaking wet.
Even though he is so close, he doesn’t slow down. Crashing into her, he scoops her in his arms. Catches her in the tightest of embraces.
Asks her if she’s fine. No. Not that question again. She’s tired of people fussing over her and gets angry.
Had it not been for the attack, would he even be here? The voice asks mockingly. It doesn’t matter to her. He’s there now.
Deep baritone is gentle and full of concern. It’s not like that. It’s not his intention to fuss. He’s simply worried. Because she is the most important thing to him in the whole world. Yes, he wasted so much time. That’s why he refuses to lose even one more second.
A dam breaks within her. Eliciting a quiet sob. She clutches his shirt, holds onto him for dear life. Moments later, she’s screaming at the top of her lungs. Singing her poignant birdsong.
How is she supposed to cope? Will things ever go back to normal? What is normal anyway?
In the confines of the infamous patient room she never felt more scared in her life. But here, out in the open, she feels so safe. As if she’s had a silent agreement with nature, which vouched to protect her at all costs.
And this time, nature had an ally. Because Ethan will protect her, even if it’s the last thing he does. Holding onto each other, they stand in the nothingness.
It keeps them grounded. Connected to their roots. Turning over new leaves. Bending before they break. Growing.
They get lost. Mother Nature has a reward for those who do. They have a chance to find themselves. Over and over again.

Interpreting Jupiter
“The most beautiful and most profound emotion we can experience is the sensation of the mystical. It is the power of all true science. To know that what is impenetrable to us really exists, manifesting itself as the highest wisdom and most radiant beauty which our dull faculties can comprehend only in their most primitive forms – this knowledge, this feeling, is at the centre of true religiousness“
–– Albert Einstein; Jupiter in Aquarius in the 8th house, Pisces Sun, Sagittarius Moon
Tumblr media
Each of the planets represent principle dimensions of the human psyche. Mercury is our logical mind, Venus our heart, Mars our aggression, the Moon our soul and emotional mind, the Sun our ego, Saturn our inhibitions, and then of course, there is Jupiter which demonstrates how we feel mystical, religiousness, and larger than life.  Jupiter in the birth chart illustrates our belief system, worldviews, and how those two concepts work for us in receiving opportunities, grace, and well-being in life. We can explore the sensations of overwhelming wonder the unknown; our ability to accept or reject higher order, the trust we have in something greater working in our favour. Jupiter shows us our qualities that require little effort and we often take for granted because they are so aligned within us.  Even the most Mercurial, cynical, or rigid types can look to Jupiter to get a sense of their optimism, well-being, and what awakens that feeling of the mystical.  In Jupiter’s positive expression, it entails a powerful relationship with higher power and the universe’s plan. It grants the individual with optimism and active aim to improve oneself. In Jupiter’s negative expression, we see blind confidence and belief, gullibility, irresponsibility, and indulgence.
Jupiter transits all twelve signs over the course of twelve years which means it only moves into a new sign year. This also means everyone born in the same year as you will likely share the same Jupiter placement and it also suggests a tendency for your peers to share a similar inner belief system.
~
Jupiter in the Elements
Fire  Connection with higher self and higher order comes from ability to relate to the divine; control over will, creation, and relationship with God or universe. Tendency towards grace with these concepts because of confidence and innate optimism. Opportunities for personal growth come from generosity, creativity, positive attitude, and taking initiative.
Earth  Connection with higher self and higher order comes from experiences with the sense; touch, taste, sight, etc. and their relationship with the physical world; physical miracles of the earth, nature, nutrition, physical connection with others. Opportunities for personal growth come from hard work, practicality, patience, and demonstrating their dependability.
Air  Connection with higher self and higher order comes from sharing ideas, knowledge, and communicating among their social circles; feelings of religiousness comes from collective consciousness and unity. Opportunities for personal growth come from group effort towards one common goal, sharing philosophies, and maintaining important relationships.
Water  Connection with higher self and higher order comes from listening within, sensitivity, and intuition. Actualizes spiritual and religious world through creativity and clairvoyance. Opportunities for personal growth emerges from their compassion, making peace within their inner world, their imagination, and their keen understanding of spirituality.
~
Jupiter becomes more defined and personal as we explore its expression in each individual sign. Since Jupiter transits a new sign only once a year, acknowledging the aspects that may be made to other signs with the other planets can further enrich it’s interpretation. Jupiter expands planets it touches, so every aspect made with Jupiter is important.
Jupiter in the Signs
Aries
Grace of courage. Jupiter in Aries elevates self esteem and confidence in oneself. Those who struggle with self esteem can look to this Jupiter placement as the most effective counsel. This individual can improve themselves through assertion, confidence, and leadership skills. Opportunities make their way when they take initiative and risks in life. Falling in line with the Fire description, this individual has exceptional control over their will, therefore they are the creator of the opportunities they receive. This is important to keep in mind because Jupiter has a tendency to go easy on us when we choose to be lazy. Jupiter requires this individual to really grasp onto bursts of motivation and try to prolong it long enough to finish one project before starting another. In its negative expression and contacts, Jupiter in Aries can express blind confidence and irresponsibility. This individual needs to be careful not to shoot themselves in the foot.
Taurus
Grace of patience. Jupiter in Taurus finds itself aligned in the material world, thus they need to seek evidence of the divine to connect with their higher self and faith. Luckily, Jupiter here grants the individual with the patience and natural connectivity to the earth required to gather this evidence. As mentioned in the Earth description, they experience the mystical through nature, sensuality, beauty, and appreciating the tangible. Proof of their existence aids their emotional health and sense of purpose. Opportunities come through their usefulness, steadiness, and productivity, as well as the actualization of their ideas, faith, and goals. Jupiter in Taurus is extremely tolerant, so the individual should caution those who may take that for granted. In its negative expression and contacts, Jupiter here has a tendency to be over indulgent, materialistic, and to associate their worth with what they own or possess. This must be balanced through humble actions and generosity.
Gemini
Grace of perception. Jupiter here gives the individual a broad, multi-perceptive understanding of the world. With that said, this is Jupiter’s detrimental placement and there can be a tendency towards being overly skeptical and cynical; there is no solid faith or belief to fall back on. This can be a heavy weight on their well-being, especially when placed in houses that deal with the bigger picture in life. Jupiter in Gemini needs a faith system that compliments reality, rational, and logic. As suggested in the Air description, a strong social circle that promotes sharing ideas and knowledge can help secure a belief system. Jupiter in Gemini improves themselves through Mercurial activities such as writing, teaching, and learning in general. Opportunities come their way when they ask difficult questions and embrace their curiosity.
Cancer
Exalted grace. Jupiter in Cancer elevates emotional maturity. Even with the most debilitated and ill-aspected Moon placements can reap benefit from Jupiter when it is in Cancer. Those who need to grow or wish to continue to grow their emotional world can channel this placement and the house it’s located in. Those who have harnessed Jupiter’s grace here can seek opportunities through helping others with their emotional world, tapping into their instincts, and building security. As mentioned in the Water description, they have a keen understanding for their spirituality. Jupiter here generally has a strong relationship with their higher self and the grandiose of the universe. With this said, they can have a tendency to rely too much on their gut and it can lead them to evade uncomfortable situations that could have been opportunities. They need to trust themselves in these uncomfortable situations. Jupiter in Cancer individuals should also practice caution with fear-mongering faiths as there is a tendency to fall victim.
Leo
Grace of heart. Jupiter here makes an individual who will benefit from actions pure of heart. The self improves and expands when the individual demonstrates generosity and humbleness, and utilizes their creativity. Alternatively, Leo’s lens can take advantage of Jupiter’s abundance; this can create arrogant and greedy tendencies in individuals. These individuals need to acknowledge these tendencies to cleanse and humble their heart. They can have an immense capacity to share abundance of love, faith, and resource to those in need once they realize the elevated expression of Jupiter here. Jupiter here generally has a robust and stable belief system, same as described in the Fire description. This position for Jupiter makes individuals at awe with the world; they can feel empowered by the complexity and beauty of life. Inner faith becomes stronger when they feel entangled in the universe’s plan. Those who become victim to the negative tendencies this placement can experience the contrary of this beautiful belief system; become self-absorbed, indulgent, and egotistical.
Virgo
Grace of clarity. Jupiter here can make an individual see the world quite clearly and humbly. This individual is not too hung up on the abundance Jupiter marvels hungry eyes about, but rather just wants simply what they need and nothing more. Virgo can see the exact results they want through their utility to the world and improves themselves through service. Leaning towards the more negative expression of this placement, there can be a perfectionist schema or overly critical view of oneself and the world. This can be resolved when the individual feels comfortable asking Jupiter for more when they are doing more (like asking life for a raise, so to speak); the petty resentment begins to dissolve and they have a better sense of self and placement in this world. Virgo’s belief system is often quite passive. These individuals are quite neutral to karmic energies coming their way; e.g. “everything happens for a reason.” They can feel more in touch with their higher self through the physical modes as mentioned in the Earth description; specifically in areas dealing with nutrition (the body) and helping the earth.
Libra
Grace of fairness. Jupiter in Libra elevates the most pleasant Libra qualities; patience, artistic nature, fairness, selflessness, ability to see both sides of one coin, etc. There is equally though, negative Libra qualities emphasized as well, such as over-indulgence and laziness. Libra improves themselves through approaching life moderately, objectively, and seeing both sides of every situation. Opportunities find the individual’s way when they help others and the world in a differentiated manner. Libra’s belief system carries the perspective that life, religiousness, and spirituality carries an inter-connective quality. Life revolve around the balance of nature. These individuals express their spirituality best through art and expressions of beauty, especially if Jupiter is placed in a creative house. These individuals can solidify their beliefs through social modes of expression as mentioned in the Air description. Jupiter in Libra leads the world to liberty.
Scorpio
Grace of perception. Jupiter here is an exceptionally spiritually connected placement, especially if Jupiter is also in one of the soul houses. Jupiter here very much falls in line with everything said in the Water description. They understand themselves, the world, the spirituality better when in touch with intense or difficult feelings. Conflict with inner faith emerges through fear and inability to connect to deeper feelings. The inability to connect to deeper concepts comes from the fixed attitudes of Scorpio. Scorpios can exhibit a certain stubbornness over their morals and ideas; there is a resistance to accept new concepts at times, especially in dealing with the world and spirituality. Experiences where they are confronted by their fixed attitude tend to be the most expansive and transformative. These individuals improve themselves through thorough emotional and mental perceptiveness. They generally have an acute sense for opportunity coming their way.
Sagittarius
Grace of faith. Jupiter is in its natural expression in Sagittarius, so it brings out the natural good and not-so-good of Jupiter. These individuals tend to be generous, adventurous, hungry for knowledge, and spiritually inclined; they will often find opportunities through these qualities as well as improve themselves by following a faith-inclined or broadly academic path. Their absorbent nature for life can make them overly optimistic or gullible at times, so these individuals should practice caution with what they believe in, trust, and take risks with. Individuals with this placement and a weak Saturn influence may need to work on bringing themselves back to reality. Sagittarius has an exceptional strong belief system and relationship with higher self, as mentioned in the Fire description. Their ability to relate to a higher order through the spread of knowledge and control over will is what really solidifies their belief system.
Capricorn
Grace of reality. Capricorn is considered to be Jupiter’s fallen position which implies it manifests a very unnatural expression for this planet. Through the lens of Capricorn, things become a lot more serious and the individual is not relying on any sort of Jupiter’s luck. Capricorn approaches life and opportunities with caution and hard work. While this can obviously reap bountiful rewards, there is a tendency to aim quite low in terms of expectations for life. While the reality of life is completely there for these individuals, there is a cynicalness towards life which can really take a toll on an individual’s well being. Jupiter here suggests that the individual needs to work towards grasping the optimistic energy it has to offer. This can be done by getting in touch with their higher self and solidifying a belief system. Capricorn is the most resistant to having faith and will need to experience the physical miracles of this world, as mentioned in the Earth description, to open themselves up to a greater order. Miracles in general really aid the feeling of mystique Capricorn tends to miss out on.
Aquarius
Grace of the mind. When Jupiter is in Aquarius, we may observe a paradoxical energy as Jupiter expands the higher mind in a fixed sign. What this can look like is an individual who is open-minded in a lot of areas, but closed-minded in others. Their beliefs can be rather radical as the Aquarian energy typically is (this can be also true with aspects to Uranus and planets in Aquarius aspecting Jupiter because Jupiter expands all that it touches). This individual’s progressive thoughts and ideas can present opportunities as long as they lean towards being more open-minded than stubborn. Their belief system heavily relies on what is mentioned in the Air description; collective consciousness and social groups give them that feeling of religiousness rather than looking inside oneself for faith or universal truth. Continued studies are often of great value to these individuals and they are well suited for academia (unless afflicted otherwise). In terms of being “spiritual,” Jupiter here is quite divided; some of these individuals are not spiritual at all and others explore the idea of being a spiritual teacher or leader themselves. More often than not though, they approach life with objectiveness and humanity in mind.
Pisces
Grace of the spirit. As Jupiter sits in its naturally ruled sign, it is like gigantic watermelon ready to burst. This is the most spiritually potent position for Jupiter. In Pisces, Jupiter freely runs with every idea, inspiration, and fantasy the individual has. The positive expression to this is that the individual may feel limitless in their spiritual and creative endeavours (and the endeavours of the house its in, of course). On the flip side, these individuals are easily susceptible to scams, wishful thinking, and dangerous beliefs; a strong Saturn placement would be helpful in diminishing the negative. Opportunities present itself to this individual when they are able to actualize their inner vision boards and when they get in touch with their innate spiritual nature. As mentioned in the Water description, spiritual connection comes from listening within and embracing sensitivity. Pisces tends to have a very strong (and sometimes far too accepting) belief system and relationship with their higher self.
Jupiter in the Houses (Notes)
-Jupiter is its most spiritual in the 1st, 4th, 8th, 9th, and 12th house
-Jupiter is its most ambitious (or containing themes around life ambitions) in the 1st, 2nd, 6th, 9th, 10th, and 11th house.
-Jupiter is its most creative in the 1st, 2nd, and 5th house.
-Jupiter in the 7th house can indicate marrying abroad, more than one marriage, or a partner of a different background (culturally, in social status, etc.)
-Jupiter in the 1st and 2nd house are generally viewed as beneficial health-wise.
-Jupiter in the 5th house can indicate fertility or having many children.
-Jupiter in the 11th house makes for a great leader in social movements.
-Jupiter in the 1st or 10th house can sometimes be an indicator for fame as it enlarges the personality and public view.
-Jupiter in the 10th house indicates a career dealing with the public on a larger scale. These individuals would do well in politics, business, religion, or teaching.
-Jupiter in the 3rd house can indicate a jack-of-all-trades type individual. This placement can also manifest as someone having many siblings or having peers that replaced the role of family.
-Individuals with Jupiter in the 1st, 5th, or 9th house’s well-being is very reliant on Jupiterian activities. New experiences and travel especially.
-Whichever house Jupiter is placed in will put emphasis on what that house represents. There will be lifetime goals or significant turning points strongly associated with that house (for example, 7th house = marriage/partnership, 4th house = family, domestic security, 10th house = business/career, and so on)

Dunno when/where I'll be able to use this so may as well write it down before I forget
It doesn't make sense that Thor and Loki have no responsibilities within the institution of Asgard. I've read a lot of fic and the vast majority of them have the two of them just indolent a lot of the time. Thor does "training". Loki just seems to spend all his time reading. Like yeah, that's great, but like they're fuckin royalty. They're sons of the king of nine realms. They're by definition politicians. That's a position that comes with a lot of power. To leave them idle is to waste the political content of two able men.
I'd believe it that they're both still learning to some degree, but I think Thor has been put to use commanding the armies of Asgard. Directly beneath him is tyr, captain of the einherjar who operate as a sort of "city guard" of Asgard, as well as captains of the other various military branches. Above him is Odin, although in recent years he has intervened less and less in Thor's decision making. Through his command of Asgard's armies, he is responsible for the peacekeeping of the empire and the allocation of its armies' resources. He does regular tours to Asgard's various outposts -- it was Odin's idea to get him acquainted with the way the various outposts are run, its Thor's idea bc he genuinely likes to get to know the soldiers on the ground.
(side note, Asgard's armies incorporate the auxiliary troops of its various vassal states. Outposts are run by aesir soldiers but staffed by locals. Thor endears himself to the boots on the ground by learning their various languages and dialects rather than using allspeech across the board. Side note of the side note: Thor is better at languages than Loki is, in terms of actually talking to people. Loki excels in the acquisition but not the practical application, with the exception of vanir. He is much more proficient in vanir)
He is flanked and surrounded by dozens of advisors. By the time of his coronation in thor1, he is not mature enough to run the empire by himself but he is comfortable enough with all his advisors that he could have done it with good support.
Also in his obligations are his duties as god of thunder (storms and rain) and fertility (harvest and crops). Although he does not attend to these responsibilities with the relish of his responsibility to battle, he attends to them nonetheless. As he is responsible for the production of the crops, he must also oversee its harvest and taxation.
Loki has fewer formal responsibilities, as second prince. Most of his roles are in support to or supplementary to Thor's, as Odin and Frigga are grooming them to take over for each of them even if they are not allowed to marry . He has no role in the leadership of the military, but the obligations he held were diplomatic in nature. When Thor would go visit the military outposts, he would sometimes tour the vassal courts. He would sit in on council meetings and basically act as one of the junior aesir diplomats. But everybody knows there's no power in aesir diplomacy. They're a pretty face in front of a big gun.
(if Odin had left any of his brothers alive, Loki would have had a direct mentor to shadow, but part of the reason Asgard rules by means of such military force is that Odin has no more relatives by which to engage in direct diplomacy. Most of Frigga's male relatives were killed in the war. Loki is getting there but Loki, while clever and reasonably competent, is still very young and inexperienced.)
He was liked enough by the various nobility, but his lack of social maturity (he isn't really sure how to be feel out when to be gracious and when to draw the line; he has a taste for humiliating people when they get on his nerves) and confidence made it so that foreign diplomats lacked confidence in his word (let me speak your manager syndrome) and also tried to get stuff over on him. He is also learning, and not there yet, but has a much less robust support system.
Odin occasionally joins them on their foreign obligations, but when he is there, it's like neither of them exist, and nobody treats him like he is anything but high king, so it is difficult to learn anything from him. His debriefs are high handed and condescending.
Loki's real interests lay in civil engineering, but there is no glory in building up Asgard's infrastructure, so it's treated as the second prince's pet project more than anything. Loki's greatest accomplishment before thor1 ends up being the shield/wall around Asgard's citadel.
(the story of this echoes the sleipnir story I think lol. Loki and his scholars design a shieldwall system and commission a dwarf to build it. None of the dwarves will take him up on it, bc lol they answer to Odin, not this punk, except one. The dwarf demands the sun and the moon for his asking price. Loki is like "lol ok 🙄" and thinks a) the dwarf is using some sort of figure of speech b) if he does want the sun and moon, Loki can probably trick the dwarf into thinking he's being paid the sun and moon c) if these aren't the case, Odin will be so pleased with the new defence system that he will pay some exorbitant sum and bail him out. None of these things turn out, Odin is unimpressed and waves him off. Loki, his head literally on the line, goes to Thor, crying and scared. Thor beats the dwarf and chases him out. The dwarf leaves in such a hurry he forgets his horse. Odin claims it for his own, and acknowledges the shield is useful, but only acknowledges Loki's contribution in passing. They are 17/18 at the time. Thor comes to recount this story fondly. To loki, this was a great humiliation.)

Sinew sin·ew/ˈsinyo͞o/ noun a piece of tough fibrous tissue uniting muscle to bone or bone to bone; a tendon or ligament.
Tumblr media
warnings: SPOILERS FOR BNHA 270 onward, tw.discriptions of gore & blood, mentions of sexual touch, wee bit of muscle kink
notes: for @sunshinepunches - sorry it took so long! i kith you & beg your forgiveness :]
It’s been months.
Almost 122 days have faded into nothingness, wholly dedicated to bland preparations and distant memories; littered with promises, with the omnipresent foreshadowing of his return.
In late April, as the buds of flowers opened and the world eased into the brightening spring, he would emerge from his chemical chrysalis, fully effectuated, ready to destroy and decay. Shigaraki would return to you in the spring.
You wondered what would be different.
How would he behave? How would he be, once he held the prepotency of All For One within the palm of his hand? Would it change him? Mentally? Physically?
You liked him as he was. He was lithe, sleek, perfect. He valued his speed and the prowess of the quirk that lay within the tips of his fingers, relying on his honed instincts and good sense to see him through.
But he needed more. He was avariciousness incarnate when he slunk into those moods, always grasping, scrabbling for the pieces he needed to progress forward.
He didn’t say no to the modifications, the enhancements. Why should he? After all, this is the first time he’s ever taken the easy path and he deserves to meander on the upward march to his crown.
It’s hard to see him.
There’s too much dust, too much blood, too much that has been split apart. But he’s there, you can sense him, can feel the sheer heat of his presence, as if he’s pressed against your side.
You need to get closer, you have to.
At the crest of the hill you pause, lungs heaving and legs shaking as you peer past the sheen of battle. There. He’s down there.
The ground is uneven beneath your feet and you snag your toes on the loose rocks, but you keep pushing forward. The sun is ablaze in the robin blue sky and you follow the pearlescent halo of his hair, pulled, like some loadstar, toward your goal.
He’s been in the weeds.
He’s likely had no rest, no reprieve from the threat of attack, but he moves onward. Determination and willpower have never been attributes that he’s lacked. You hated it then, before the PLF, before the doctor, and you hate it now. He’ll rip himself apart one day, all for the want of his dream.
There’s deep divides that criss cross his arms. Some carry rivulets of crimson, of deep ichor and tattered skin, but God, how can he still be alive, when he looks like that? It’s an affront, a horror, and some discordant note rings within your inner ear and vibrates outward, chattering your teeth as it passes.
Then, before your eyes, his skin begins to smooth. Tendons reconnect and joints flow upright. It reforms the man that you’ve come to know, molding him, like clay, into something both terrible and beautiful.
His arms are the first to stretch.
The newly cabled lengths coil and flex, biceps and triceps curling. The tattered fabric of that woebegone cape struggles to withstand the quick shake that he gives it, rattling the string of beads that connect it across his neck.
Oh. That’s changed too.
His neck was once the bulkiest thing on him and you loved to dance your fingers across the dips and bunches of muscles, easing the strain his ever insistent slouch put upon him. But now? Now he looks like he’s been cast in marble.
The planes of his pectorals jerk and swell as he proudly lifts himself to his full height, shock white hair flowing about his pleased face. He’s robust in a way you’ve never seen. It’s not overkill. No, there’s not one ounce of excess and he’s still holding that familiar lean silhouette, it’s just been augmented with a little more power.
The lines of his legs are beveled, thighs blocked with steely virility and a deep-seated threat. His calves are tensed and the newness of that round bulge of muscle makes your mouth dry.
He’s not massive. Not weighed down with the bulk and heft of some men, but he’s certainly not the same.
Your fingers twitch at your side and you scratch your nails against the soft skin of your palm, tongue swiping over your lip as you watch him move. He’s still got that grace and fluidity, it’s just has the force of his new brawn behind it now.
What will that feel like? Will he break you? So unsure of his new strength that you’ll just shake to pieces between his broad hands, torn apart, splintered and scattered at his feet.
Or will it feel like he’s passing that strength on to you? Will he trap you between strong thighs, pinning your arching hips under him as he braces those stacked arms beside your head?
You’ve never had much luck withstanding his advances, to tempted by that hush of his scarred lips against your skin. You can feel the tacky stick of your budding arousal, hot against your inner thigh, sighing as it eases its way under the cleft of your ass and down your leg. You want to touch him, to drag your hands down those well built curves until he’s all you know, wiped clean by the promise of what he can do.
Yes, he’s a walking terror and you can’t wait to have him all to yourself.

THE BASICS
Character’s name: Neria Lavellan
Role in story: Reluctant Inquisitor, even more reluctant Herald.
Physical description: Neria is short (5′4) with a slender, willowy build that only marginally improves once she has access to regular meals. She has platinum-blond hair and forest-green eyes, both of which were part of the reason she chose Ghilan’nain’s vallaslin. There’s a sprinkle of freckles across her nose and cheeks that deepens in color with increased sun exposure. She bears an assortment of scars of all shapes and sizes covering the length of her body.
MBTI/Enneagram Personality Type:
ISFJ [the Defender] -  The Defender personality type is quite unique, as many of their qualities defy the definition of their individual traits. Though sensitive, Defenders have excellent analytical abilities; though reserved, they have well-developed people skills and robust social relationships; and though they are generally a conservative type, Defenders are often receptive to change and new ideas. As with so many things, people with the Defender personality type are more than the sum of their parts, and it is the way they use these strengths that defines who they are.
Type 6 [The Loyalist] - The committed, security-oriented type. Sixes are reliable, hard-working, responsible, and trustworthy. Excellent "troubleshooters," they foresee problems and foster cooperation, but can also become defensive, evasive, and anxious—running on stress while complaining about it. They can be cautious and indecisive, but also reactive, defiant and rebellious. They typically have problems with self-doubt and suspicion. At their Best: internally stable and self-reliant, courageously championing themselves and others.
INTERNAL LIFE
What is their greatest fear?
Loneliness. Neria had a typical childhood, with friends she played often with, and she never felt alone. Once she she developed magic, however, she had to train to control her power and could not spend as much time with her playmates and so grew apart from them. Being appointed First made that gap wider. Even though she was well-liked by everyone in her clan, she often felt quite alone. In the Inquisition she made good friends who gave her a place where she felt like she belonged, and a lover who offered her the security she so desperately desired. Losing either would be painful; losing both would send her  spiraling into misery.
Inner motivation:
She strives to do what’s right. She went to the Conclave because the hunter who was to go was in love and wanted to get married, and it did not seem fair to her. She joined the Inquisition because the Breach needed to be closed, and Corypheus needed to be defeated. It is also why she strive to redeem Solas, even though several of her friends would rather see him killed.
Kryptonite:
Indecision. She worries often if the decisions she makes are the right ones, especially around the war table where a wrong choice can have disastrous consequences.
What is their misbelief about the world?
That humans are inherently selfish and are only concerned with their own gain.
Lesson they need to learn:
That despite doing her best she cannot control the outcome of situations.
What is the best thing in their life?
Her friends. All of them come from varied backgrounds and they have helped broaden her mind and her experiences. More importantly, they’ve given her a place where she feels truly welcome.
What is the worst thing in their life?
The shattering of her beliefs. Learning what she did at the Temple of Mythal shook her greatly. Everything that happened after - learning she was bound to a mostly-dead goddess, the truth of the vallaslin, the truth of the previous Inquisitor, the truth of the elven gods - it stripped away all of the things she had once been secure in, and leaves her incredibly uncertain and out-of-control.
What do they most often look down on people for?
Intolerance, and judging people based on what they look like. She also dislikes people who are inflexible and rigid.
What makes his/her/their heart feel alive?
The small moments. Sunrise over the Frostbacks. Wildflowers near the road. Laughter over mugs of ale. Quiet conversation around a campfire. Holding hands with a lover, fingers twined.
What makes them feel loved, and who was the last person to make them feel that way?
Compassion and understanding. Though she misses Solas terribly she won’t say he’s the last person who offered her love because she knows there are different types of love. Her friends make her feel loved in their own ways, and she appreciates that.
Top three things they value most in life?
Knowledge, compassion, patience.
EXTERNAL LIFE:
Is there an object they can’t bear to part with?
A necklace that belonged to her great-great grandmother. It’s a circular disc of halla horn onto which is carved a rune of protection, hanging from a leather cord. Her great-great-grandfather, who was the clan’s keeper at the time, made it for his wife, and it was passed down to the eldest. She offered it to Solas, but he knew how much it meant to her and instead suggested she make one like it for him - which she did.
Describe a typical outfit from top to bottom.
She tends to favor simple cuts, but develops a fondness for fabric. Highever weave, royale sea silk, imperial vestment cotton and dales loden wool are some of her favorites. She prefers tunics and pants, with some amount of embroidery, and her boots are well-crafted and sturdy.
What names or nicknames have they been called through their life?
What is their method of manipulation?
- Da’len (her parents, adults in the clan, the Keeper)
- Silver (Varric)
- Ner-bear (Dorian, though Bull uses it to annoy her)
- Fenor (Solas)
Neria doesn’t actively manipulate; most of the time she uses the way other people view her against them. She knows a great many people see her as only a knife-ear, as uneducated and unintelligent and “savage”, so she’ll play into that, all the while gaining information from them that she passes on to Leliana and Josephine.
In battle, her small size and build means she can remain hidden as she attacks. If someone does attempt to fight her they soon discover she’s not as weak as she appears to be.
Describe their daily routine.
With clan Lavellan it was more relaxed; there would always be some time spent learning, mending, aiding other people, but there was no routine set in stone.
With the Inquisition, her routine varies wildly depending on whether she’s out on the field, or at Skyhold. Even at Skyhold no two days are the same. The only things she sticks to for herself is an hour or reading in the morning (usually with tea) and dinner with Solas.
Their go-to cure for a bad day?
Hot, fragrant tea, lots of finger foods, a trashy novel.
GOALS:
How are they dissatisfied with their life?
Post-Inquisition she’s lost, and steadily gets more so. Everything she thought she knew turned out to be wrong, and she struggles with regaining some of that sense of self.
What would bring them true happiness or contentment?
Security. A sense of steadiness. A place that she can call her own, where she doesn’t have to be alone.
What definitive step could they take to turn their dream into a reality?
Neria wishes she knew. She could go and create a home for herself, but she would be alone. Or she could go after Solas to demonstrate to both of them that they don’t have to be alone, but it means she can’t have a home. She doesn’t know how she can get both.
How has their fear kept them from taking this action already?
She tries her best, but between the loss of her arm and the knowledge that Solas is so much more powerful than her, she fears she won’t be able to succeed.
How do they feel they can accomplish their goal while still steering clear of the thing they are afraid of?
She very deliberately does not think about it. When she does, she thinks about what Varric once said: heroes don’t get happy endings. (She hopes, desperately, that he’s wrong).
