6th day of Pride Month - 5th LGB history 🏳️‍🌈

Today I am gonna talk about the first homosexual wedding in Spain. For years, we thought that it was the wedding of Elisa and Marcela, but some documents were found, proving that two men got married in 1061 ! Their names are Pedro Díaz and Muño Vandilaz . was recorded on 16 April 1061. They were married by a local priest at a small chapel in the Galician municipality of Rairiz de Veiga. The historic documents about the church wedding were found at Monastery of San Salvador de Celanova in Celanova. We don't know if the priest knew their sexes and was aware that he was marrying two men, or if they used a stategy, a plan, to get married despite the fact that homosexual marriages were not allowed. Maybe one of them adopted a female idendity like Elisa adopted a male one, who knows ?

It is neither good nor bad to be attracted to the same-sex as yours only. It is a completely neutral action. No one should be passing judgement on someone's sexuality. Not being attracted to someone is not violence, this isn't hateful. Please consider the people in your life with kindness. Intolerance or hatred towards homosexual people on the basis of their homosexuality is homophobia.
