I posted this on my twt but god damnit I need to ruin peoples days here — Rin would’ve been a FNAF kid and you can’t change my mind.

He was almost 12 years old when FNAF 1 came out (if bllk is set in 2018, he’s 16 and his b-day is September 9th, this checks out)

He’s canonically been a fan of horror since he was about 10 (confirmed in his light novel chapter)

He plays a lot of horror games (confirmed in the Egoist Bible)

He wanted to be fluent in English (he’d watch football commentary in English to learn but I think he could potentially watch Markiplier too)

So, I present to you: Rin was a FNAF kid who used to watch Markiplier compilations at 3am and 100%-ed the first 4 games like 5 times over. He thought FNAF was the shit. Of course, he got over it by the time he was like 14. However, to this day if he ever ran into Markiplier in real life his brain would short circuit… also he will viscerally react to hearing the Living Tombstone

So, yesterday I was reading a ‘cringe’ 2016/14 ‘character name’ x reader book. And it was so fun! 🥲 it was so 2014/16, like, I was legitimately giggling and crying like a high school girl after having eye contact with her crush :) it was so sweet (not the book) , the book was amazing. It had smut, it had the whole 2016/14 x reader dynamic! (i.e. : Teacher!character x student!18+!reader (readers/yn always got to be 18+ in those story’s.) , mafia boss!character x reader, demon!Character x reader, ) not all those examples are 2016/14 but they definitely feel like it. (It literally felt like the song ‘thérèse by maya hawk’ .)

It felt like falling in love all over again. :)

For the longest time I've thought that YouTube hasn't changed that much but I decided to take a look at the wayback machine.

This is youtube on the 12th of September 2013, when I made my original channel that I use to this day.

Don't get me wrong, I was using YouTube even before I had a channel because I was a dumb kid who thought I'd have to immediately start making content.

This is the subscribe button I remember.

THIS LAYOUT is such a classic, I remember going to YouTube on my family pc and seeing this.

I remember doing my homework and having my phone behind me on the cabinet playing a video with the screen closed because it used to keep playing after turning the phone off.

But out of all the things that threw me back into my childhood,

This banner hit me the hardest.

I remember logging into the PC's in school and searching up 'Markiplier' on YouTube, clicking on his channel and seeing this banner at the top of the page.

I can not express how much I adore all of this.

It is my childhood in the literal sense.
