Gaming Communities, Social Gaming and Live streaming
Week 10
Throughout recent history there has been a constant evolution of video game culture, particularly regarding the social side of it. In the early days of gaming, such as through arcade games, multiple gamers had to be both physically present to play against or with each other. Today this has transformed to digital connections through online devices, that have allowed people to connect to new and pre-existing players within video gaming worlds.
Social gaming has become increasingly popularised over recent years, allowing people to “encounter people from outside their own social worlds, and construct networks and online lives in concert with these systems” (Taylor 2018, p.11). One of the first ‘social’ games was Farmville, provided through the social media platform Facebook. In its prime it accumulated 85 million players, with 32 million active users a day (Victor 2021), which was more than the users on Twitter itself in 2009. Unlike other games, Farmville appealed to a much broader audience of adults and women, more so than those of typical gaming communities such as stereotypically young men who dominantly play games on consoles like Xbox and PlayStation (Victor 2021). Players could engage with already existing ‘friends’ on their Facebook accounts through sending requests to help them will their ‘farm’, leading to saturated news feeds and an abundance of notifications to fellow users. This was arguably less social than other multiplayer online games today as it was more about the mechanics of clicking buttons than interacting with users through conversation or gameplay (Victor, 2021).
Tumblr media
Apart from ‘social’ type games like Farmville linked with social media platforms, there are also ‘massively multiplayer online role-playing games’ also known as MMORPG. One of the most well-known MMORPG’s is World of Warcraft, that was released in 2004 by Blizzard Entertainment. This game builds a sense of community and online relationships through user's completing quests and adventures together (Anothy & Gui 2018). In addition to gameplay there are many in-depth online forums where people can roleplay as their characters (Anothy & Gui 2018), emphasising the vast community video games have, even outside of the gameplay itself.
Tumblr media
Furthermore, other ways people engage with video games online is through live streaming, for example through platforms like Twitch. On Twitch, anyone can live stream themselves playing different video games, and are even able to watch, comment and send donations to other people’s live streams. These types of videos include competitions where professional esports players can play against each other, as well as offering general entertainment for viewers, which is a source of income for many gaming influencers. These videos are often filmed within the confines of their homes and bedrooms, presenting how gaming has evolved from a private to public form.

I’m curious about women’s winter wear during the Republican era.
It really depends on the decade and year, let me give you a brief run down. For some reason I have a lot of images for winterwear, so this post will be a lot of pictures and not a lot of text, hope that is ok!
Republican Era Winterwear Masterpost
1910s-early 20s
Chinese women haven't yet commonly adopted Western outerwear, so in winter they would just wear aoqun in thicker fabrics. The robes could be trimmed in fur or tufted with cotton filler for extra warmth. A 坎肩 kanjian vest could be worn outside the robe. In the ensuing decades vest like garments were commonly referred to as 马甲 majia (not to be confused with 马褂 magua), though I don’t know why.

Late 20s-early 30s
In the second half of the 1920s, it became the norm for Chinese women to wear Western coats and jackets that could be removed indoors, unlike the previous practice of wearing thicker robes and skirts which were not outerwear and could not be taken off to reveal the outfit underneath. This was maybe due to the proliferation of air conditioning and Western style buildings where all the interiors were enclosed and insulated with what technology people had at the time. Typical Chinese buildings had many open courtyards, meaning it was more sensible to wear clothes that were warm and thick overall rather than warm outerwear that needed to be constantly put on or taken off.
I have no images of early 1920s outerwear at the moment so I can't really show you anything, though in the late 1920s, sleeveless fur trimmed wrap coats became very popular. These coats were usually very loose and shapeless, made of warm woollen materials like cashmere or tweed, the length falling anywhere between the ankles and knees, and the collar area trimmed with a massive strip of fur. It did not have sleeves and were held closed with the wearer’s hands. This coat style was largely in fashion between 1929-32, which, if you have read my older posts, you would know was its own continuity. Fur would become a staple in winterwear of later decades.

In addition to the fur collars, standalone fur stoles and muffs were also used. Other warm accessories like gloves, berets and scarves were occasionally worn as well, as you will see in some of the images.

Other styles of loosely cut Western coats were also popular. The gist of this time period was that the coat had to have a loose, boxy shape (but still tailored and fitted at the shoulders and hips), length that reached the knees, wide rollover shawl collars that ran down to waist or hip level, and optional fur trim. These coats could be closed by buttons, belts, concealed closures like hooks and bars or also held closed by the wearer’s hands. A distinctive feature of coats in these couple years was the rollover collar which “stood up” at the back of the neck and plunged dramatically downward at the front.

As the 30s progressed, these coats became more tailored and slightly longer, with more fitted sleeves. Fur trim was frequently applied to the collar and cuffs as the wrap style coat went out of fashion; the two styles had merged into one.

Whereas the fashionable sleeves from roughly 1921 to 1928 were flared and quarter length even in winter, around 1929 it became acceptable to wear aoqun or cheongsam with fitted long sleeves for winter. This probably provided some extra warmth, though the skirt would still be knee length in winter. To counter coldness in the legs, women wore stockings which could be in a warmer material. I’m not very knowledgeable on stockings and other underwear so I can’t tell you much, sorry.

Mid to late 1930s
As the 30s progressed, coats became less fitted and more full. Although plain fitted sleeves existed and were also very common, mid to late 30s coat sleeves were often one of two variations of the puffy leg of mutton sleeve: 1) voluminous at the top and fitted at the bottom, inserted to an armhole 2) fitted at the top and voluminous at the bottom and gathered to a cuff. Some coats retained the tall collar which stood up at the back of the neck of previous years either trimmed with fur or not. Lapels instead of continuous shawl collars were popularized as well; instead of being tall and towering at the back, the collar and lapel are wide and pointed at the front.

Coats with a rectangular, broad shoulder silhouette became popular, either tailored or loose. It should be noted that this broad shoulder style of outerwear was already common in 1930s Western fashion, though I don’t think it was as common in 30s China.

Spoilers for comics in April!
These are from the official solicits for that month, which you can see at CBR.
The Black Label Rogues series continues that month, and Girder will appear in a Flash movie prequel comic.
ROGUES #2 Written by JOSHUA WILLIAMSON Art by LEOMACS Cover by SAM WOLFE CONNELLY Variant cover by LEOMACS 1:25 variant cover by JORGE FORNÉS $6.99 US | 48 pages | 2 of 4 | Prestige Plus | 8 1/2" x 10 7/8" ON SALE 4/26/22 17+ You might think you know Gorilla City, but you don't. Not a soul who has gone looking for the secret kingdom has ever returned. You'd think the Rogues would know better than to go searching…but they either don't know or just don't care. The down-on-their-luck ex-cons are back together for the heist of a lifetime, but every time Captain Cold thinks he's got things all figured out, the rug is pulled out from under him. And even if they make it to Gorilla City alive, they have a version of Gorilla Grodd unlike anything you've ever seen waiting for them…Continuing this groundbreaking neo-noir take on some of the DCU's greatest villains!
The cover makes it difficult to figure out who’s going on the mission, assuming the lineup is actually representative of the story.  Len is obvious and so is Lisa (third from the left), but who are the others?  The guy in front might be a Mirror Master and maybe the guy with energy in his hand could be Weather Wizard or Kadabra, but that’s just spitballing.  And those appear to be Trickster pants on the second person.
Looks like Digger’s in for a rough time in the continuation of this Black Label series.
SUICIDE SQUAD: BLAZE #2 Written by SIMON SPURRIER Art and cover by AARON CAMPBELL Variant cover by QISTINA KHALIDAH $6.99 US | 48 pages | 2 of 3 | Prestige Plus | 8 ½" x 10 7/8" ON SALE 4/12/22 17+ The inmates who volunteered for the Blaze program are discovering fascinating things about their newfound powers—and about the best ways to torment their Suicide Squad watchdogs. Are they discovering anything about their core mission of stopping the cannibalistic metahuman who's terrorizing the planet and who, uh…might have just defeated Superman…? Well, slightly less so. But they're all going to be dead in three months. Or a lot less. Let them have fun, eh?
As you can see on the cover, Len appears in the New 52 omnibus.
JUSTICE LEAGUE: THE NEW 52 OMNIBUS VOL. 2 Written by GEOFF JOHNS, PETER J. TOMASI, TOM KING, and others Art by JASON FABOK, IVAN REIS, and others Cover by JASON FABOK $150.00 US | 1,256 pages | 7 1/16" x 10 7/8" | Hardcover ISBN: 978-1-77951-558-2 ON SALE 6/21/22 One of the boldest eras in Justice League history continues in this massive collection, featuring the second half of superstar writer Geoff Johns's run on DC's premier super-team. Volume two collects the rest of Johns' Justice League issues plus the Forever Evil and Darkseid War story lines, all leading up to DC's Rebirth event.
I sure wasn’t expecting Girder in a movie prequel...
THE FLASH: THE FASTEST MAN ALIVE #1 Written by KENNY PORTER Art by RICARDO LÓPEZ ORTIZ Cover by MAX FIUMARA Variant cover by ANDY MUSCHIETTI $5.99 US | 48 pages | Variant $6.99 US ON SALE 4/26/22 Race through the streets of Central City in this lead-up to the hotly anticipated blockbuster The Flash! As a new threat emerges in Central City going by the name of Girder, Barry turns to Batman for advice on training to master his powers. Can the Dark Knight help show the Scarlet Speedster a way to defeat this metallic menace, or will the Flash be crushed by Girder's strength?
THE FLASH #781 Written by JEREMY ADAMS   Art by FERNANDO PASARIN and MATT RYAN Cover by BRANDON PETERSON and MICHAEL ATIYEH Variant cover by NIKOLA ČIŽMEŠIJA $3.99 US | 32 pages | Variant $4.99 US (card stock) ON SALE 4/19/22 The Eclipso War left Wally West stopped dead in his tracks…but a brand-new villain has emerged to wreak havoc on the Scarlet Speedster! Today on my journey through comic book history, I read Fantastic Four 31&32, from Oct/Nov 1964
Tumblr media
I don’t usually do back-to-backs like this, but #31 is too minor to mention by itself, and #32 needs #31. As multi-issue story arcs begin to develop (interesting note, such things were almost unheard of before this), I imagine I’ll have to do more of these. But I digress.
These issues are notable for explaining what happened to Johnny and Sue Storm’s father, Franklin Storm. At the start of issue #31, Sue is upset by a newspaper article mentioning an escaped convict, but won’t explain why. Towards the end, sue has been wounded by a piece of shrapnel that hit her in the head. The prognosis is bad, as the doctors explain that the only man skilled enough to have performed the necessary procedure is a recently escaped convict. Thankfully, said convict arrives on the scene, and we are introduced to Franklin Richards, father to Johnny and Sue. Franklin performs the surgery to save Sue before being taken off by the police once again.
Tumblr media
In issue #32, Franklin Storm's cell is invaded by a mysterious being. Before he can react, Franklin is teleported away, and the intruder takes his form.
Tumblr media
The next morning, Sue and Johnny visit the warden's office, where Sue finally reveals the truth about their father: Twenty years ago, he and their mother were involved in a car accident. Surgery proved futile, and Franklin was unable to save Mary's life. Distraught by his wife's death, Franklin became addicted to gambling, racking up a massive debt. When a mobster came looking for him to pay up, the two got into a scuffle and the mobster's gun went off, killing him. Still grieving over the death of his wife and ashamed of what he had become, Franklin Storm said nothing in his own defense, and was sentenced to prison for manslaughter.
With the story out in the open, Sue and Johnny visit the man they think is their father, to inform him that they are going to try to get him paroled early. However, the impostor tells them that he won't have to wait that long, and surprises them when he suddenly turns invisible and busts through the prison wall and escapes. As the rest of the Fantastic Four are summoned, "Franklin" assumes a costumed form and calls himself the Invincible Man. With all the powers of the Fantastic Four, he terrorizes the people of New York. Because they believe their foe is Johnny and Sue's father, the Fantastic Four hold back and are easily defeated. Seeing the Invincible Man escape so easily makes the general public believe that they are going soft on him, due to his "family relation" to the group. However, Reed runs some tests and suddenly deduces the identity of the Invincible Man.
Reed constructs a hyper-wave transmitter and confronts the Invincible Man and explains that he has contacted his homeworld and that he knows that he is not Franklin Storm. With his cover blown, the mystery man reverts to his true form, the Super-Skrull. With their plans foiled again, the Skrull emperor teleports the Super-Skrull away. On their way back to the Baxter Building, Reed explains how he used his devices to deduce the identity of their attacker. He prepares a weapon and threatens to destroy the Skrull homeworld if they do not return Franklin Storm to them. Franklin is returned to Earth, but there is a bomb planted on him. Not wishing to harm his family, Franklin rolls over and smothers the blast and is fatally wounded. Before he dies, Franklin tells his children that he is proud of them. When the authorities arrive, they learn how Storm sacrificed his life.

Her work has influenced other artists such as well-known dubstep producer Bassnectar, who heavily sampled 5 A.M. Rinse (feat. MC Sphinx), the last song on her first album When Worlds Collide for his song Here We Go of his 2010 EP and single Timestretch.[13] Since the sexual allegations of Bassnectar have become known to her, Jordana has publicly condemned his actions as well as called out the fact that he never delivered contractually promised royalties for the above mentioned work.[14] Additionally, electronic rock act Celldweller sampled "Wake Up" off of her first album as well as "San Francisco" off of her third album "The Cities Collection" in their 2013 song "Uncrowned".[15]
In 1999, Drum & Bass/Hip Hop producer and label owner Hive approached Jordana to remix her song Defcon-1 also off of When Worlds Collide. Hive's remix appears on his 2001 album The Raw Uncut.[16] Jordana collaborated with Lady Sovereign on a song early in Sov's career after the two met through an internet chat room for StrikeFM.co.uk, an online radio station which Jordana had a show, and the now defunct UKGarageWorldwide.com forums. The two would later team up when Jordana under her Lady J alias, had Lady Sovereign MC for her radio show on Flex FM London.[17]
History[edit]
She first came to the attention of the music industry when she was asked to remix Blondie's "Atomic." Her remix appeared along with Armand Van Helden and Diddy’s remixes on the single.[3] A little over a year following that release, Mac McFarlane, the promoter of the well established and legendary New York City club, Konkrete Jungle, contacted her to create a themed song for a CD compilation/mix-CD. Jordana created the song "Konkrete Jungle" for that purpose. Described by CMJ as containing "menacing hardstep attacks",[18] it was released on the Ultra Records compilation, Konkrete Jungle - Maximum Drum & Bass, mixed by BBC Radio 1 Drum'n'Bass show host Jumpin Jack Frost. Following extensive touring throughout North America and abroad as a music producer, Liquid Sky Music, an indie label distributed by Caroline Distribution signed her to a three-album contract in late 1996.
Hate crime in Ohio[edit]
On the night of February 22, 2000 in Kent, Ohio, Jordana was attacked and brutally beaten in a transphobic hate crime by a group of men including Matthew Gostlin.[19] Gostlin and other assailants vaulted her in the parking lot outside of the Robin Hood nightclub where she had just performed on the Cities Collection tour. The attack took place while she was escorted from the event with the event promoter to his car. The group of men attacked suddenly and Jordana lost consciousness almost immediately after being struck in the face. She suffered nerve damage to the lower part of her face from her lower lip down as a result. She was quoted, saying in the May 2000 issue of CMJ New Music Monthly that in the seconds just prior to the attack: "I saw his face. I remember the look on his face. It was this look of utter hate, like 'I'm going to kill you.'"[20] In an interview with the Village Voice, George Meesig, a man from Cleveland, Ohio who defended her during the attack, stated that Gostlin had misgendered her, saying “this is personal”.[21] Other reports noted by the Village Voice on the message board for Breakbeat Science (a Drum'n'Bass record store) mentioned transphobic slurs being shouted during the attack. She subsequently cancelled the tour to recover.[19] Gostlin, while charged, was never arrested nor spent any time in court. Her family was told by the Portage County (Ohio) prosecutor's office that attempts had been made to serve the warrant but Gostlin's whereabouts were unknown. She felt that justice would not be served so she left the United States for England due to concerns about personal safety and well-being.
Additional work in music industry[edit]
In addition to music production, Jordana is a DJ, musician and singer. From 2001 to 2002, she worked at Flex FM in London, England as Lady J, with Lady Sovereign performing for her during her radio show.[22] In 2002, she held a club residency performing UK garage, 2-step garage and house music at the club Trinity in Vauxhall neighborhood.
After returning to the United States, Jordana returned to rock and fronted a goth metal band in Seattle. Prior to that, she was asked to play bass in another band briefly where she met and became close friends with singer/songwriter Shelita Burke. She has toured the world and played many DJ sets. She has been billed alongside Arca for Planet Zolean: Un/Tuck + Hot Mass on the Currents.FM Common Multiverse Initiative.[23] She was featured on the Dekmantel Podcast.[24] She was featured as Mix of the Day for Resident Advisor.[25]
In 2014, Jordana scored the documentary Free CeCe, produced and directed by Jacqueline Gares and Laverne Cox. The documentary details the struggles of CeCe McDonald, an African-American transwoman wrongfully incarcerated for murder for defending herself against a hate attack on her outside a Minneapolis bar.[26][27]
Literary mentions[edit]
She has been featured in several books. Her success in rising from living in a "rust belt" city to being an MTV-featured electronic music artist was mentioned in "The Rise of the Creative Class" by economist Richard Florida. She appears in two books detailing American electronic dance music scene history: Michaelangelo Matos's The Underground is Massive,[28] and Rave Culture, an Insider's Overview by Jimi Fritz and Virginia Smallfry.[29]
An interview with Jordana was featured in multiple books, including a book published in 2012 by rock journalist George Petros.[30] She has spoken on her personal life in interviews for publications such as The Festival Voice,[31] The Brooklyn Rail[32] and href zine.[33]
Personal life[edit]
She currently lives in Seattle, Washington.

BakuTodo Rec List of Fics Vol. II
It’s been a while since the last time I did the other list and many new, wonderful fics appeared (the dynamics will be the same: AO3 fics that includes top!Bakugou and bottom!Todoroki for those that are NSFW), so if you wanna check out here is Part I.
This time there are 32 fics in this list, I have more and probably I will make Part III soon.
Spoiler: EVERY SINGLE one of these stories are FUCKING AWESOME.
Rating: G
→ flowers die, feelings grow by kinneyb
Summary:  When Bakugo first visits a local flower shop with Jirou, he buys some flowers in a lame attempt to piss off one of the employees - a guy named Shouto. But then he gets a little too invested in keeping his flowers alive.
→ Pretty by doop-doop.
Summary:  Like so many things that had to do with Shouto, the question took Bakugou entirely by surprise. “Do you think I’m pretty?”
→ For a Single Moment by itsclowreedsfault.
Summary:  Katsuki shakes his head with a sigh and an unbidden smile. Shouto's always been like an overexcited kid when it came to cats; Katsuki should've known he didn't stand a chance against them in Shouto's first visit to a cat cafe.
Rating: T
→ Ruin My Life by justhavesex.
Summary: He's not a vengeful person, really, he's not.
But him and Bakugou have started this little on-going war of theirs back in middle school when they were 10 years old and Todoroki had accidentally—if you got Todoroki drunk enough and fed his ego well enough he would, in fact, admit that it was very much on purpose—accidentally fed Bakugou's limited edition All Might magazine to his cat.
→ Aesthetic Distance by llyn.
Summary:  This was around the time Shouto was appearing in all the blogs and rags and instagrams wearing a hideous faux fur coat of bright, hot neon like some awful crawling creature from an acid trip had been hunted and skinned, its pelt draped over Shouto's shoulders.
→ Dance To This by justhavesex.
Summary:  Bakugou has never cared much about being an alpha, not really, not until he met the most frustrating omega in all existence: Todoroki Shouto.
→ Welcome to the Mile-High Club by minhakos.
Summary:  In which Todoroki realizes that maybe airplanes aren't the only thing that should make him nervous.
→ Boyfriend Tactics by Esselle.
Summary: 'Shouto's eyes go impossibly wide. He seems to lose all powers of communication for a moment and just stands there, frozen, staring at Katsuki and the kitten. Finally, eventually, he utters the tiniest noise Katsuki has ever heard him make.
"Ah…" '
--
Katsuki comes to the aid of a small and fluffy civilian while on patrol.
→ Line by Line by Lillabelle.
Summary:  With half his sketchbook filled with drawings of the guy, Katsuki wondered if he’s already crossed the line of being insanely creepy. They’ve never spoken, and he honestly only knew the person’s name was Todoroki Shouto because of role call in class. Shouto was just… so unique to look at with his half and half appearance. It was hard for Katsuki’s eyes not to get drawn to him. Not to mention they shared several classes, so if Katsuki ever got bored and felt like drawing something, there he was.
→ a todobaku one-shot collection by kagehinataboke.
Summary:  all of my multiple, multiple, multiple todobaku one-shots. i stan two (2) dipshit boys that are obviously in love and hate with each other.
→ amaryllis by ?
Summary:  The amaryllis has come to symbolize pride, determination and radiant beauty. Somehow this all suited Katsuki a lot more than Shouto expected.
→ tell ourselves a good lie by ElmoIsSatan. (In-Progress 12/?)
Summary: For a straight guy with anger issues, getting a “boyfriend” might just be his only escape.
Or-
Bakugo makes an impulsive decision and suddenly gains a boyfriend just to prove his parents wrong... The only problem is it’s all fake.
→ how to register for a library card (and get a boyfriend in the process) by Kaleid369.
Summary: “Friends have each other’s numbers, yeah?” Bakugou shrugs. “I don’t hate you, I guess.”
“Lucky me.”
“Lucky you,” Bakugou snorts. “I gotta go. Text me so I have your number.”
“I will.”
He's already started walking away when Shouto blurts out, “See you tomorrow?”
Bakugou shoots him a smirk over his shoulder, as if to say, Duh.
Shouto stands and stares at his retreating back, and the thought of kissing him pounds along with the beat of his heart.
→ on brand by dinosuns.
Summary: Midoriya is honestly unsure what’s worse: the tragic fact that Todoroki Shouto can make anything look objectively incredible or the fact Kacchan has six versions of the exact same photograph saved onto his camera roll.
Nobody saves a photo that many times by accident.
Kacchan set the bar, Todoroki raised it. That is not a good thing.
→ The Journey Home by dinosuns.
Summary: “Your hair looks real fucking nice.”
“I thought it was about time I grew it out,” Todoroki says, something wistful caught in his voice. “You were always saying I should.”
That’s true. And Bakugou is satisfied to know he was right about it looking good, but it’s not like he can share that with the fucking class anymore.
--
Bakugou tells himself that he's fine with how things turned out between them. He also tells himself he's not still in love.
Rating: M
→ Zephyr by yeetin. (In-Progress 4/?)
Summary: The breeze that sifted gently through a golden sea of tall, dry grass brought the tiny spike of a different scent. An inconspicuous little prickle down the spine, barely even worth paying attention to. Something no one else would even imagine being able to notice.
But Bakugou did.
→ Objection, Your Honor by Myona. (In-Progress (8/?)
Summary: Shoto Todoroki hated Katsuki Bakugou. And he had plenty of reasons to do so.
But he didn't know that how things can change for the two of them who saw nothing but trouble in each other's presence and life altogether. Katsuki was a trouble from the first time Shoto heard his name, to the first day he met the man.
Rating: E
→ On Hot Blondes and Drunken Hookups by Crossfire. (In-Progress 4/?) I love this so so much.
Summary: “I’m Bakugou. What’s your name, Pretty Boy?”
Shouto looks at the drink in his hand, then back to the beautiful blonde boy, then back to the drink and downs it in one go, ignoring the slight burn as it slides down his throat, and while it would have been more suave to appear unaffected, he gives his head a little shake. He takes a quick breath and forces the words out before he has a chance to realize what a massive mistake this all is.
“Hot blondes I want to bang can call me Shouto.”
→ Tick Tick Boom by Ajaxthegreat. (In-Progress 6/?) THIS is so good, I’m in love.
Summary: An exhausted socially awkward violin prodigy and a deaf punk rock drummer walk into a bar.
→ Better Take a Mental Picture by chibibeeee. This is HOT HOT.
Summary:  The one where Deku watches Bakugou take Todoroki and their exhibitionist kink is unlocked.
→ Cover: Blown by darkanddank. (In-Progress 1/2)
Summary: Some undercover agents got hooked on drugs. Went full Stockholm Syndrome, flipped and joined up with the other side. As Bakugou’s palm went flat over Todoroki’s navel and dove beneath his closed zipper, Todoroki started to understand just how easy it might be to go rogue.
...aka cop Todoroki gets his world rocked so hard by bad guy Bakugou that he has an existential crisis
→ Just One Bite by Crossfire.
Summary: This particular fuckup begins when he saves a cat from a demon in a sketchy alley.
Well, maybe slightly before that when his esteemed hedge-witch mentor turned out to be an incubus who coincidentally turned him and his stupid nerdy neighbor into incubi.
Or maybe when he was born to a non-magic family, but early on developed minor magical inclinations that turned out to be not-so-minor and kind-of-hugely-destructive.
Wherever this fuckup was born, it’s culminated as follows: Bakugou has been an incubus for one hundred and twenty-two days, seven hours, and thirty-six minutes, has not had a single successful feed, and is essentially slowly starving to death. His mentor is suspiciously MIA and that stupid shitty nerd has managed to secure himself a two-person harem so it’s just Bakugou, starving. To death. Slowly.
→ Gangster by Brixxen.
Summary: Bakugou is a detective trying to solve a case that's been open for months. He ends up in a town and meets a man who could be his undoing...
Todoroki wasn't expecting the blonde at the bar to leave him wanting more...
→ How to spend a Friday night by veltana.
Summary: That's how Katsuki ended up on his bed on a Friday night leaning against the headboard with his laptop between his spread legs, his hard dick in his hand, watching Shouto open himself up for him on the screen.
→ Your Turn by doop-doop.
Summary: An extra scene/epilogue/continuation of smd.
Bakugou and Todoroki housesit for Bakugou's parents and take advantage of Bakugou's large bed.
→ Comfort by hellaradholly.
Summary: Katsuki agrees to be Shouto's roommate after UA despite having an unbearable crush on him.a gift for Katie for the BakuTodo Valentine's Day Exchange!
→ Empire of Dirt by castiiron, clairesail. (In-Progress 5/?)
Summary: There was something different about being with Bakugou Katsuki. Something that Shouto had been searching for tonight, to no avail. A consistent burn in his gut, the warmth of a fire that hadn’t been stoked in many years. Katsuki had been inexcusably rough with him. Harsh in a way that had pulled him back to reality. Shouto hadn’t realized he was missing out, being so used to what he knew; going through the motions, a means to an end. His life for the last few years had revolved around mediocre sex as a way to abate constant desire, always at the forefront of his mind.
Unhealthy coping mechanisms are easier to hide when you aren't screwing your ex-classmate.
→ Be Quiet by chibibeeee.
Summary: Katsuki and Shouto stay the night at Deku's. If only they had any self control, then they wouldn't have to keep so quiet.
→ Speak Softly My Sweet Villain by Brixxen.
Summary: Ask anyone in Tokyo and they’ll tell you the same thing. That the No.1 Pro Hero Todoroki Shoto is the perfect hero. He’s kind to everyone, always the first to arrive on a crime scene, always the calm and collected hero everyone wants him to be.
It was ironic how things happened to lead Shoto to his current situation. Him moaning and shuddering like a teenager, clinging to the strong perfect body of the most wanted villain in Japan, Ground Zero.
→ Peanuts and Wolves by cashmeresho.
Summary: “Yeah, man, okay!” The guy holds up his hands in surrender and Shouto shoots him another apologetic look. “I really didn't know you guys were married! I didn't see a ring!”
“Oh,” Katsuki says. He frowns hard for a minute and then grabs Shouto by the arm to whisk him away to his table with Izuku and Kirishima to guard him or sniff him or whatever weird territorial thing he wants to do.
→ College Roommates|BakuTodo by S_Kuro.
Summary: Todoroki is the son of the famous Todoroki Enji, also known as Endeavor, his father is a famous business man that wants Todoroki to take over his business, but Todoroki wants to become a photographer. He goes against his father's wishes and goes to an art university miles away from home. There he meets a certain explosive blonde, who turns out to be his roommate. what sorts of ridiculous shenanigans will they find themselves in and what relationships will they end up in.
a BakuTodo fanfic
This is my first fanfic with these two, so don't judge me and I hope you like it.
→ Locker Room by darkqueen_25.
Summary: There are worse things to walk in on in a locker room, Inasa thinks, than your two new friends fucking against the shower walls.
There's probably nothing better than being asked to join in, though.
