Back when i was like, 9, i was obsessed with mobile tycoon games and i had this one friend on every single game i downloaded who i didn't really know all that well but we talked a little and they seemed like a nice enough person (all i remember is that their messages looked like how boomers think millenials and gen Z text each other and they had a really confusing username)

Anyways, my older brother caught wind of the fact that i use the internet and wanted to protect me but didn't really know how to give GOOD advice on internet safety bc he was like, 13 and just said something like "don't talk to anyone on the internet ever" to which i was like "NUH UH!! I'VE MET SOME TRUSTWORTHY PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET!! CONFUSINGNAME IS TRUSTWORTHY!!!" And my brother was all like "CONFUSINGNAME COULD BE A SERIAL KILLER!!!"

Next time i went on the game, i told ol' confusingname what my brother had told me except i didn't say it was specifically MY BROTHER so i just said "some people think you are a killer" and they never messaged me again.

And then like, 5 months later all the tycoon games i used to play suddenly disappeared from the app store because they were all made by the same development team and they had an issue with straight up reuploading the same 3 games multiple times under different titles and pretending it's a completely different game to get more downloads

Final Fantasy Record Keeper Behemoth King Magicite Fight

The fights in the 5-star Magicite Dungeons in the Final Fantasy Record Keeper (FFRK) mobile game are quest level 400.

Behemoth King is the 5-star lightning Magicite that’s weak to the earth element and who takes reduced damage against physical attacks.

My lightning tech is really lacking so wouldn’t have bothered with this fight for now but since there was a time limited mission associated with clearing this quest, I decided to give it a try with an off-element team.

In short, I tried bringing my physical fire elemental team to this battle. My team was:

Genesis Rhapsodos from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII

Currently, Genesis Rhapsodos from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII (#ad) is my absolute, most favorite Final Fantasy char. He’s the reason why I’m playing Final Fantasy Record Keeper.

Genesis is a physical fire elemental DPS. Have all of his Soul Breaks.

Limit Break Overstrike (LBO), Light of Doom

Synchro Arcane Soul Break (SASB), Purgatorial Wave

Awakened Arcane Soul Break (AASB), Genesis Rhapsody

Arcane Overstrike Soul Break (AOSB), SOLDIER’s Epic

Ultra Soul Break (USB), Apocalypse Genesis

Glint+ Soul Break 1 (G+1), Epic of Creation

Glint+ Soul Break 2 (G+2), Epic of Heroism

Glint Soul Break (G), Epic of Destruction

Legend Materia Relic (LMR), Fierce Opposition

Genesis has max Crystal Waters for all the stats - HP, Attack, Defense, Magic, Resistance, and Mind.

Yeah, he doesn’t need magic and mind, but I don’t care. I want to give him all the stats anyway.

Genesis has over 500 Magia points. He has 100 in the fire attack, attack, defense, resistance, and HP stats then 10 each for the defense stat of all the elements.

Genesis’s Record Board was the first one I ever completed. His Hero Ability, Genesis Slash, was the first one I ever created.

Anyway, I wasn’t sure if using an off-element team was gonna work for the Behemoth King fight but I had to try. And honestly, I would love to use Genesis everywhere.

Sometimes, I wish he wasn’t locked to the fire element. I mean, I get why fire’s his element.

Still, I wish his Awakening gave him Awoken Spellblade Mode instead of Awoken Fire Mode so he can make use of the other elemental Spellblade abilities too.

Well, he can use them, but his relics don’t have synergy with these abilities unless they also have fire attached to them.

Even Genesis’s Hero Ability is pure fire. At the very least, I wish it could have included non-elemental or even just dual element or something.

What about dark? That fits too, right? Someday, I hope Genesis gets relics for other elements. Well, why not?

Other chars get (*cough* Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII * cough* Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII *cough*) multiple relics for different elements.

Hell, Cloud has Syncs and AASBs for the wind and dark elements. His Hero Ability is dual element and he keeps getting new relics even though he already has a ton. It’s not fair, is it?

I wish other chars (like Genesis) can get some more attention too, especially those who don’t even have a Sync yet or who only have a few relics so far.

At least Genesis already has a Sync, but I know there are other chars who don’t even have 1 whereas you have chars like Cloud who have 2 already and are set to get more. Like seriously, FFRK, give others a chance, please.

Chain Soul Break 2 (CSB2), Incendiary Trap

Balthier has a really good physical fire Chain. This Chain buffs fire damage and increases the party’s attack. Balthier can also imperil the fire element.

Vincent Valentine from Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VII

Vincent is my secondary DPS. Have a few of his relics, including his AASB and Sync.

Even have his fire Chain although I don’t use it for this team since it boosts magic instead of physical attack.

Tyro from Final Fantasy Record Keeper

AASB, Fantasy Grimoire Vol. I

Arcane Overstrike Soul Break 3 (AOSB3), Triple Phase

USB4, Arbiter’s Tome

USB3, Divine Veil Grimoire

USB1, Warder’s Apocrypha

Glint Soul Break (G), Purifying Grimoire

Burst Soul Break (BSB), Keeper’s Tome

Unique Soul Break 2, Sentinel’s Grimoire

Legend Materia Relic 1 (LMR1), Archival Secrets

Tyro’s here to Wrath and Entrust and support the party. He will cast his AASB then USB4 when he has enough bars to do so. The aforementioned Soul Breaks can increase the party’s critical hit chance.

Lenna Charlotte Tycoon from Final Fantasy V

Lenna served as my healer, support, and buffer. Have a few of her Soul Breaks, including both of her Awakenings and one or more of her Ultra Soul Breaks.

She can speed up the party. She can dance the Passionate Salsa to debuff enemies. She can even resurrect dead allies via her AASB1.

Behemoth King absorbs the earth element and resists all the other elements except earth so I had to stack imperil fire in order to deal damage.

Managed to make it work though. Even got sub-30 with the battle ending at 27.51 seconds. Nice.

As always, I’m extra pleased whenever I can bring Genesis to fights where he normally wouldn’t be brought and whenever I can make him work in these quests.

Ads vs. Gameplay (Weed Inc. Review)

This is a pretty basic run-of-the-mill idle game with not much different mechanics than other idle games I’ve played. You can repeatedly tap cannabis plants to speed up harvesting, tap a the machine at the end of the conveyer belt to speed the buds down the production line and tap the cash register area to speed up customers coming in and out and purchasing the cannabis products. All of this also happens on its own over time thus your operation continues to run while you’re idle or away from the app (you can collect the money you earned while away when you come back).

There are various ways other ways to boost production and earnings in the background such as hiring and assigning managers to give certain stations temporary stat boosts, upgrading stations and managers, upgrading cannabis strains and using temporary boosters that boost the whole operation at once (ex. multiplying all profits). I guess one thing that is slightly different than the idle games I’ve played specifically is the upgrade system for plants and managers - you can earn and buy crates that contain cards and you can upgrade the plant/manager once you get enough cards for that specific asset. This is actually more similar to the upgrade system for the real-time PVP strategy game Clash Royale, as I mentioned in this post.

I guess the most exciting part of the game is collecting different cannabis strains and expanding your operation although, at least for as far as I’ve gotten, expanding is just adding more harvesting tables. I guess I’m kind of biased since I’m not a huge fan of idle games but I still think this game is less fun than something like Egg Inc. This isn’t a bad game though within its genre and it’s decently paced (unlike 9 Months, which comes to a standstill if you don’t watch ads or pay money) and has nice enough art although the cartoon people are kind of wonky. I like the sound effects when you tap the plants or processing/packaging machine (may seem like something small but personally I find sound effects really enhance my experience in casual games) and there’s some cute humor like one of the in-game currencies being called Tokins (as in “toke-ins”) and your first customer saying “I just bought weed legally!” as they leave the store 😂

I don’t really have any major complaints about this game other than it’s pretty much an average idle game, just weed-themed. If you like idle games and weed I guess this would be the perfect game for you, but if you’re looking for something new or especially interesting you won’t really find it here. As for the ads, at least the ones I’ve seen, they’re totally honest and accurate, the art style and general setup are exactly the same and you tap and upgrade things essentially just like you do in the interactive ads (with some very small differences that are acceptable for the purpose of demonstration in an ad imo, and the 2nd ad I included above is also older which might explain some style difference).

I'm tired...And bored so I was browsing apps/games on my phone and a thought crossed my mind.

As Someone who loves Ouran High school Host club and who was considering re-watching the anime. And as someone who also likes idle/Tycoon games, how about an idle/tycoon host themed game? I just think that would be really cool and interesting if done right and it would be something I'd love to play.

Anyone have recommendations for mobile games / roblox games that are playable on mobile

I am bored out of my mind and wanna play things and I finally have space on my phone and I want things to do when I’m not on a computer but I can’t find anything to do

#I play idv but without friends it’s not so fun cuz the players can be so toxic #and all my family HATES playing with me cuz I tend to rage 😭#I want to convince them it’s because I was 17 when I started playing but idk if I ACTUALLY got over my anger problems or not #things have just not been as bad for me I might not be over it #ANYWAYS that’s my only mobile game outside of roblox #I play doodle world but I don’t have any goals in it until HW update so yeah #I also play restaurant tycoon 2 but it’s like a big commitment to open up the game there’s just instantly ten million customers #and legit that’s like all I play on my phone. any recommendations for me? I don’t think I can get back into cookie run #it was fun but I’m definitely too far behind the meta to possibly have fun anymore that game gets SOO p2w unbalanced #BOTH of them.

Mobile games

Let me tell you… the most addicting thing in my life right now, other than my wife, is MOBILE GAMES!

I am a fanatic when it comes to merge games and tycoon games. Right now I am in a phase where I am enjoying some puzzle games too. Only if there were companies that wanted to get their games on the radar of people who play games on their phones, and wanted to have someone help promote those games… (hit me up in the dms)

It seems that I constantly go through these phases where all I want to do is play the games on my phone for days, and then I’ll get out of that phase and not play them for weeks. I guess I just get to busy with life. Now that I’m on Paternity Leave, I have the extra time to do other things so I’m sure that these desires to play these games will subside in the next day or two.

Final Fantasy Record Keeper Fire-Weak Dark Odin Fight

The Dark Odin fights in the Final Fantasy Record Keeper (FFRK) mobile game are quest level 500.

I was trying to auto the fire-weak Dark Odin fight, but it just wasn’t working out. I’ve been trying different setups and different chars (except for Genesis who’s always in my party), but no dice.

Currently, Genesis Rhapsodos from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII is my absolute, most favorite Final Fantasy VII (#ad) char. He’s the reason why I’m playing this game.

It’s surprising that I couldn’t auto the fire-weak Dark Odin quest because I somehow managed to auto this fight on my Japanese FFRK account.

I tried a few more times but it wasn’t working out so I decided to get the win manually. It took a few tries but eventually managed it.

Since I was doing this manually anyway, I decided to try using Lenna Charlotte Tycoon from Final Fantasy V as my healer.

Acquired a lot of her relics, including her Sync and both of her Awakenings and her so-called “best” Ultra Soul Break.

But I never really got to use Lenna because I always end up using either Elarra from Final Fantasy Record Keeper or Aeris or Aerith Gainsborough from Final Fantasy VII.

Lenna worked pretty well on this fight but I definitely need more practice in using her since she’s quite different from my usual healers.

The team I used to beat fire-weak Dark Odin was:

Genesis Rhapsodos from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII

Vincent Valentine from Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VII

Barret Wallace from Final Fantasy VII

Lenna Charlotte Tycoon from Final Fantasy V

Balthier (Ffamran mied Bunansa) from Final Fantasy XII

Genesis served as my main and primary DPS. Vincent was my secondary DPS. Barret was my support. Lenna was my healer. Balthier was my fire Chain holder.

Was able to get the win in 31.11 seconds. Too bad I wasn’t able to get sub-30 but it’s fine. Can just try again later, or when I get more fire relics.

Anything that's open and fun. - Also big into Pokemon and plays with Luffy, - He also loves point-and-click adventures like Monkey Island. Zoro - Pokemon sleep. - Streetfighter, TEKKEN, Mortal Kombat. All those sorts of games. - Shinobi games also.

Chopper - Cute, easy games or hardcore doctor simulators. - Animal Crossing. - Nintendogs, cats, anything silly and cute with animals.

Brook - Dating games - Hentai games - Among Us - Really dumb meme-bait games like I Am Toast and Goat Simulator

Franky - Minecraft, Roblox, anything that’s building and making. - Retro games, like Golden Axe, Sonic the Hedgehog, Streets of Rage, Toe Jam, and Earl. - Older platform and side-scrolling games.

Jinbei - Games you can farm and fish on. - Also racing/driving games. - Is a beast on Mario Cart Robin - Fantasy games like Skyrim. - Indie horror like FNAF, SCP, Zoochosis, I have no mouth, and yet I must scream. - All the really intense horrors like Silent Hill, Resident Evil, and Condemned. - Just anything with awful, horrible monsters and lore, and she is all over it and thinks the monsters are cute.

Corazon - Candycrush mom. Kid - GTA, Bulletstorm, the most bloody and violent games you can get your hands on. - Ones that are banned in countries. - Wolfenstein. - Also partial to the Guitar Hero/Rockstar type games. Killer - Cooking Mama - Guitar Hero/Rockband Marco - He doesn’t game alot, but if he sees an old-school arcade, he’ll go and play things. - House Of The Dead, Packman, Space Invaders, Time Crisis. He often gets dragged to the arcade by Ace.
