I found out my (adult) nephew died today. We were very close and today I have been very numb. I am not okay. He was not in Spop fandom, but he has great relevance to my being in it. For better or for worse, I probably wouldn't have gotten into the Spop fandom at all without my late nephew. I was planning on just watching the show as a reboot of something I liked as a kid and not touching the fandom because I was worried I was too old for it or that I wasn't really the true target-audience for it as a nostalgia-watcher and non-lesbian (ace), but then after having watched Season 1 together, he just had an "idea for a fanfic about Entrapta." He wasn't the target demographic, either. He was a heterosexual, cis-gendered older-millennial man and hadn't watched the original series and had no interest in the original, but he checked out the new She-Ra as a fun-looking cartoon and perhaps as a preview for me because he knew I loved original She-Ra. He immediately fell for Entrapta as just... the best character. Shared autism-traits. Shared love for robots. Mad science vibe. We watched the show together in later seasons. He was holding his breath just *waiting* for Perfuma to snap and go medieval on everyone. XD. So, when we watched Season 1, he had this fanfic idea, but he didn't want to write it because he wasn't into writing at the time / anymore, didn't have the confidence to get it off the ground but wanted to see it done. He shared with me this idea about Entrapta just causing hilarious havoc in the Fright Zone as part of making it her new home. We discussed ideas back and forth and I wrote the thing for his amusement and then I just started in and really got into the fandom. The first fic I wrote for the fandom, which was entirely his fault, the writing of which got me hooked on doing more for the fandom: The Havoc Hypothesis Revisiting a fanfic as a memorial, because I really don't know what to do right now. A small legacy for people who did not know him. He inspired me to some truly things. Here is another fic inspired by him, by a back and forth, a Fallout crossover. Crawl Out Through the Fallout Yet another fic, not written specifically for his amusement like the others above, but inspired by a board game he got and my partner and he and I played together. We have it in our apartment because it was a thing we only played together. I used it as inspiration for a "Game Night" Entrapdak-week prompt: It's a Small World After All

I have a brain rot for sage, hes challenging the chain for their time with player/reader, he basically wants all His/Her/Them's attention, of course none of the chain and sage are going to "play" fair their going to cheat no matter what. the only ones he might not win against is time, FD and maybe twilight. wind, four, Hyrule, and sky would do sad puppy eyes to get cuddle time, twilight and legend turn into their animal form to get pettings, sage and wild would cook food to get points for being delicious. (etc.etc.) just some yandere shenanigans for attention. the challenges he did were sword fighting, bow and arrow targeting, sparing, arm wrestling, and so forth.

Okay, last one for the night! I figured since this isn't really a request, I could spitball some more of my headcanons for our beloved Sage.

Jk it delted itself so I gave up and went to bed bc last time I tried to push through I wasn't happy with the end product, so sorry for the delay!

For those of you who don't know, Sage is another name for the Tears of the Kingdom Link--dubbed Hero of the Zonai-- should we decide he is not in fact Wild.

For the Wild and Facesitting request, it's in progress I promise! I try to go in order with my requests, but like I said, this is more headcanons versus a scenario. It should be out tomorrow later today so look out for that ;)

ANYWAY-

Y'all. The amount of Sage requests in my inbox right now? You guys are feral for this man and I love it. So I'm here to feed you guys.

・❥・Okay, so lemme start this off by saying. I have done you all wrong. And for that I apologize.

・❥・Because our wonderful @wayfayrr has opened my eyes to new possibilities that I would've never even thought of. So everyone say thank you rn >:(

・❥・So let's make some amendments!

・❥・First off, let's talk about nicknames. I love the idea that Reader, and only Reader, can call him anything other than Sage. And calling him other herb-related nicknames? Kills me. He is a flushing red mess the first time it happens. You had deemed him worthy of a nickname? You considered him person enough to have a moniker that wasn't also a title? If he was down bad before, it's so much worse now. Because you see him as a person. He's sure the others just see him as a means to the end. The second one of them, maybe save Wind, try it, he's shooting them daggers and snarling at them for even daring to try and impeach your privilege. (I also love the Calm, Wild and Feral thing, I thought that was so freaking clever.)

・❥・And you know how each of the hero's have their own 'sword' right? Well, what if Sage's was the Master Sword Remastered? Like Sky's (Like most of their Master Swords actually) but now it's been boosted by ten thousand years worth of direct light magic. (Does the Zonai time fall before Skyward Sword or after? I have no idea where they fall on the timeline tbh.). Just a thought. It could also be a gloom sword which probably wouldn't effect him as hard in other timelines because there's no demon king to power it, but it probably does hurt the others if they try to touch it.

・❥・Now, the juicy part. Let's retouch on Wild's and Sage's relationship. I originally said that Sage was okay with him? I lied. Wayfayrr has opened my eyes.

・❥・Sage probably can't fucking stand Wild. As they said, this is a version of him that didn't have this second adventure. Got to rest and distant himself from the Hero Title. And that just pisses him off. Why did he get the shittier hand? Why did he have to do it all over again? Why when this failure got to get off easy? Why couldn't he have the same grace, huh? What made them so different?

・❥・And if we're using the past oneshot (Here!) as they're 'canon' meeting, this filth let you get hurt. You were hurt before meeting him, which means that they can't be trusted with you. Especially Wild. So Sage cannot stand you being near Wild. At all. It eats at him and he doesn't last long before splitting the two of you up.

・❥・Calamity is even worse. There is probably an active hate towards Calamity (In this Yandere world, in a normal, not toxic world? They probably work out their differences a little better). This was a version of him who didn't even have to die to complete his quest. And this just shows that Fraud has favorites and it's not him.

・❥・You know who else he probably doesn't like? Twilight. Now, hear me out. This is purely me just spitting this out, but Sage has to be aware. He listens when they don't think he does, he's awake when they think he's not, he's watching when they don't even know he's there.

・❥・So he probably picks up on all of their little secrets. Meaning he knows Twilight is Wolfie. And (I think this is Canon is LU but I'm not sure) Wild had Wolfie as a guide. Which means Sage had Wolfie as a guide. The difference? When he needed him the second time, left stumbling around like a newborn fawn crawling out of the shrine all over again, he was left alone. He was fighting robots with a fucking Stick. He fused a mushroom to a shield just to buy himself more time. At one point, he was fusing a long stick to another long stick just to fight from a distance to save his battered body. Rauru did as much as he could, but there were some times he wished he was left for dead.

・❥・Not anymore as that means he would've never met you, but then? different story.

・❥・They also brought up that Sage probably doesn't stop at just cooking your food and I agree. When on the road, he for sure goes straight to the source. If he doesn't know exactly where it came from, it's not going anywhere near his Goddess. Nope. Not a chance in the gloomy depths from hell.

・❥・He's going to farmers themselves rather than merchants for produce, hunting any protein himself, climbing trees for eggs, he probably even makes his own butter. Now, because he's also cooking savy this for sure makes the rivalry between him and Wild widen. Wild is set in his cook for the chain, not you. Sage can't trust them to not hurt you again. Whose to say they don't over spice the food? Or undercook the fish? Or drop shells into the egg?

・❥・He can't trust them and may force you to pick one of the other. Depending on who you chose, he'll either hold his victory up high or work even harder to separate you from the chain. Can't you see, Reader? They aren't good for you.

・❥・When it comes to the Gloom, he for sure uses to his advantage. You know he's been infected, but you don't know how much light he's gathered to dispel it. At this point, he's probably gotten most, if not all of it, out, but you don't know that. And he preys on that fact.

・❥・Oh, the Traveler wants to down to the river with you? But, Reader, there's something rotten in his chest and he's stumbling against trees, exaggerating his steady steps just in case to really sell it. He needs you by his side, can't you see?

・❥・Oh, the captain is trying to get you to settle with him for the night? But, Reader, he's tossing and turning, feigning sleep and acting just enough to catch your attention. He's listening, ears pricked, just to hear you swiftly apologize before your gently hands are laying on his shoulders and he's won again.

・❥・And because his Hyrule is one of, if not the most dangerous Hyrules, he's given so much ammo to keep you tethered to him. You can't trust anyone, don't you know? The Yiga uptake has skyrocketed and they are everywhere, along with Ganon's new ability to make puppets? Can't you see how you can't trust any of them?

・❥・He even entertains you when you come up with the idea to have a secret saying between just the two of you as a fail safe. (It's probably something like 'Deforestation Enthusiast' because of how the two of you met.) Anything to have you pulling further away from the Chain and into his arms.

・❥・If it begins to take longer than expected, Sage is not above letting you wander just enough in his Hyrule. Maybe you set off a bit of Gloom hands (Or maybe he nudges them in your direction, hard to tell, really) and they go charging at you. The others don't know how to deal with them, but he does. He saves your life before the others even know what hit them. He's cooing into your ear, reassuring that where the others fail, he would never dream of it. He's whispering that he knows how scary the feeling of those hands are. He knows how freezing the feeling of sudden restriction, only accompanied by the burning sizzle of malice, is. He knows and he understands, but he's right here. He'd never let anything happen to you. Not like the other frauds.

・❥・Now, all that being said, Sage for sure does not play fair. Oh no. He does challenge them in his own ways, but does it in a way that can only reflect badly on them should they call him out on it.

・❥・He's fighting (Picking apart) with Wars and Calamity on their sparring routines, angling it in just a way that should they snap back he can turn on the innocent little look with a 'But I'm just trying to protect you. I don't know how any of you fight, I'm still learning.' Just in time for you to catch them barking at him to 'Learn faster' and it just falls perfectly into place.

・❥・He's calling out Twi and Four every time they try to wander off (Probably to bring out Wolfie or split to relieve a headache of sorts) because 'The woods are dangerous, what are they doing going off alone?' and now they can't leave because all eyes are on them and he's restricting their movement without even really trying. They wanna go foraging? But he and ...Wild were their best foragers and they were busy with dinner (That was something bitter to get out).

・❥・And wow, Time, Legend and Fierce have so many secrets, can you really trust them? Sage has laid down his entire adventure to you, and regardless if Reader is a LoZ player and knows of them regardless, Sage told you. Those two are trying to hide from you. He would never.

・❥・Wind, Hyrule and that filthy disgrace want to drag you along to go Shield surfing? Reader, do you know how dangerous that is? Especially with someone's track record. Here, you wanna go riding on this motorized wagon he just happens to have on hand? (Between the Zonite in his Purah pad, he can build any component necessary.)

・❥・Not even Sky and First are safe as he uses carefully laid words to sully their once golden image towards you. Afterall, they're so close to Hylia, whose to say they aren't behind all of this?

・❥・Now, you said that the only ones he may not win against are Time, Fierce and Twilight, but like I said, I can imagine him loathing Twilight, so instead, may I suggest First.

・❥・Time and Fierce are both pretty burly dudes that demand some semblance of respect and while Sage has muscles, he's not overly tall. So while he doesn't bow, he may just back off from their forefront for a while.

・❥・Now, First. He's probably the only one who can put Sage back in his place of the hierarchy. It's the first in the timeline, versus the last (As of right now). And it's not pretty. They probably go to blows a few times when you're out of ear shot.

・❥・The problem is that First can only push him back when you're out of ear shot and Sage makes it a point to keep you as close as humanly possible.

・❥・And while yes, some of them may use puppy eyes, Sage is not above using pity to get what he wants because he just hurts so badly don't you know?

・❥・He unfortunately can't do anything about wolves or rabbits. If they manage to disappear before he can call them out on it, he's left bitterly sulking as Wolfie laps at your cheeks or dumb rabbits nose at your hand. He may know who they are, but not even he's cruel enough to call them out (Yet) because that would just pit you against him. They weren't his secrets to tell, you would scold, and he just couldn't handle that possibility.

・❥・The biggest difference between Sage and Wild, one that the chain will fail to realize right away, is that Sage is much more experienced. He is on his second, THIRD if you count the pre-calamity, adventure. He knows everything Wild does, and more. Wild knows how to improvise and adapt, Sage can do it faster. Wild knows how to forage and concoct incredibly potent elixirs? Sage can do it tenfold with half the ingredients. He knows all the little tips and tricks and is not only backed up by the champion's gifts-- should they have remained-- but now he has the sages with him.

・❥・Like imagine their mid-battle, they had forced you away from Sage just to create some distance (At long last) and mans comes rolling in a giant fucking robot. He's using Sidon's sage to shield you over and over again and decimating a battle field using nothing but Riju and an arrow. Hell, the bigger enemies are struck down by Yunobo crashing into them. Sage alone is enough to cut the enemy hordes in half through recall and sending their own attacks back at them or fusing together weapons they wouldn't have ever dreamed of with new abilities. Even his outfits give him benefits far beyond anything they could think.

・❥・You saw him as someone more than just Link. He wasn't just the Swordsman to you when that was who he was to everyone else. You dubbed him something far beyond what a damned sword made him.

・❥・And he would have to be four days dead before letting you go.

・❥・And as he's proven before, Not even death could truly kill him.

I am so glad I waited bc I like this one so much more than the one that was deleted.

For funsies, do you have thoughts about what pokemon each Cullen would be most likely to have? Like idk why but I picture Emmett with a Growlithe

Alice

Per the Pokemon universe, Alice is very clearly a psychic and while a powerful one is more or less bog-standard and less terrifying than Sabrina.

I imagine Alice would have a Kadabra and they would have great fun together as Alice communicates for them and uses them to teleport her places she wishes to go.

Bella

Bella has an Eevee, not only is it appropriately normal/non-interesting looking but it's very vulnerable looking, weak compared to its potential evolutionary forms, and has that evolutionary potential to become almost anything for all Bella wouldn't really recognize that fact.

She'd love Eevee because it's a normal type, just like her, because Bella is so normal it hurts.

"Bella, that means only fighting types are super effective against you"

"I am so average."

Carlisle

Carlisle has a Chansey that becomes a Blissey that is his wife Esme. See, Carlisle was working at a Pokemon Center (as one does) and one day came in a tragic Chansey that had had to run away from its trainer and in the process lost its egg.

Everyone had given up on Chansey and Carlisle, cursing himself for being a vampire and probably terrifying the life out of her, ends up taking her home.

Chansey thrives in her new environment and, as all Chansey do, becomes progressively weird the more happy she is. Chansey evolves into a Blissey, a creature that will run at lightening speeds to offer you an egg in your time of need.

It is accepted in the Cullen household that Esme the Blissey is the Cullen mom. It's so accepted, they forget it's weird.

Bella comes to their house and Edward promises she'll love his mother.

Who is his mother?

The Blissey making Italian food in the kitchen because Isaballa is Italian right? (Despite Blissey only saying "Blissey" the plot does not change at all and Bella just assumes that when Blissey goes on a long chirping rant to her it's about how great Edward is.

Yeah, Edward must be her favorite blood sucking child.)

Edward

Edward doesn't have a pokemon.

This is because as a vampire he didn't want to corrupt a good, benign, pokemon with his presence (only the fact that Carlisle and Esme are so pure prevents him from feeling too terrible about Esme). So, Edward wants to gravitate towards more... ah... let's call them tempermental pokemon such as Gengar.

However, Edward doesn't actually want a Gengar, as he wants to be a good person worthy of the world, and a Gengar also doesn't want him for that same reason.

When he meets Bella, there's a dramatic moment where she helps him accept that he too can have a pokemon like a real boy. As Bella tells him what to get, and he wants to impress her, I imagine he gets a Dragonair as it's so beautiful and elegant, just like Bella thinks Edward is (he's never allowed to evolve it into a herp de derp Dragonite).

Emmett

Growlithe and Arcanine in the pokemon world I think are a little too associated with duty/law enforcement to quite be Emmett's thing. Growlithes, while dogs, are very much watch dogs and have a steadfast seriousness when it comes to protection/the law or what have you.

I'm really struggling with him, actually.

I'm going to go with Aipom, good natured but extremely mischievous (and perhaps a little short sighted) who love to live in groups and are just looking for a good time.

Emmett would think his Aipom is the shit.

Emmett also has a Magikarp because he thinks it's hilarious. Its name is Splash. He will never ever trade it.

Esme

Esme is a Blissey. See above.

Though, a happy (but weird), day might come about when coming back from doing the shopping (which Blissey happily does now without having to worry about eating people even if the towns people of Poke Forks are a little surprised that the Blissey is just out there shopping... alone... or going to parent teacher conferences and just... acting like people) and what do you know there's an egg.

"This is our egg, Carlisle" Esme the Blissey clearly pantomimes.

"Sure," is what Carlisle says because he doesn't want to disagree (and pokemon work in mysterious ways) but he did not do the thing that you know humans do to procreate.

Anyways, point being, Esme at one point might have a little Happiny.

Rosalie looks on it with envy because while she adores Esme, EsMe CaN HaVE ChiLDrEN anD isN't a VAmPIrE.

Jasper

Jasper has a Houndoom from his glory days at war. He tries to tell people it's not a Balrog.

Jasper is wrong, it is a Balrog.

Renesmee

There's a story here.

There is great debate over what pokemon Renemsee should get as it should be as special and wonderful as she is. Edward wants to give he ran Eevee, like her mother (Bella's Eevee having since evolved into some state Bella thinks is more cool/better) and for the symbolism of potential and growth that Eevees represent.

Bella wants to give her daughter a Dratini, something that will grow up to be beautiful and elegant and otherworldly (and never a Dragonite, never, it will only stay a Dratini).

Esme of course offers her beloved daughter Happiny (but isn't that your child Esme???) as well as an egg in Renesmee's time of need.

Alice wants her with something adorable like a Pichu, Azumarill, or what have you. It will look great in pictures. And must never ever be allowed to evolve.

Emmett wants to give her a Magikarp which they will name "Splash Two" or "Splashnesmee".

Jacob, of course, wants to give Renesmee a Mightyena because it's a wolf. "It will eat her face, Jacob" Bella does not want to do this even if she admits the symbolism is touching.

In all the bickering, Renesmee stumbles across a Cleffa (stumble being that a spaceship arrived and hit her in the face). Cleffa, being extremely rare and alien, is not recognized by the Cullens who stare and wonder "what is that thing".

Alice supposes it's cute, if not what she had in mind, she can work with this. Bella, Edward, and Jacob are all still upset and trying to get Renesmee to give the thing to Esme to raise so she can have their pokemon instead.

Renesmee ends up with all the pokemon, but does not get rid of Cleffa.

Rosalie

I actually put Rosalie as having a Chikorita. Chikoritas are steadfast, loyal to those they love, as well as courageous. While a Vulpix and Ninetales would appeal to Rosalie's aesthetics, being incredibly beautiful, Chikorita would have all the qualities she'd look for in a friend/partner that is a Pokemon while also being able to be nurturing/help with chores and things (via the use of helpful vines versus well fire balls).

ok i've decided i want to infodump about vee and nova a little after all! because uhh not only am i impatient because autism but i also. want to dip my toes into talking about this. just days ago i was still terrified but now i am Tentatively Brave... if i can talk about it here casually like this then i should be able to write a more formal summary later some other time

i've tagged this post appropriately (at least i think i have, feel free to suggest if i should add more) but also a heads up here too before i keep talking that while i'm not going into graphic detail on anything there are STRONG themes of organized sexual abuse of a child, sexual abuse of animals, and grooming! (there are no disturbing visuals in this post, just text)

takes a deep breath alright so the deal with these two. back all the way in 2021, i decided i wanted to make "vent ocs" as in i just wanted some concrete/consistent designs i could use in vent art drawings that weren't a direct reflection of what i envision myself to look like or whatever. i was going through a lot in 2021, in december 2020 i had just gotten my first big repressed memory back and my life was in a whirlwind of change and heavily increased PTSD and DID symptoms, so i was using art a lot as an outlet. in the end i settled on this drawing, based on the design taste i would have had as a young person (god the quality is so old now LOL i've improved a lot but anyway)

i was intending for these two to be just visual designs and nothing more than that but i got attached and actually ended up giving them a whole storyline and everything, which is something i admittedly hadn't done in a long time up to that point so that's cool.

the reason i preface explaining the premise of the storyline with this is because i think it's important to acknowledge that these two are intrinsically tied with my real life and the feelings i experience as a CSA/OA survivor. not because i think someone has to go through awful things to write or draw about them necessarily, but because i am passionate about expressing myself. it's important for me to be seen in some way, to be heard after years of silence. it is not safe for me mentally to share the exact details of my abuse online rn (and please don't ask for them!) but i also don't want these two to be removed from the message that i survived something and this is me making art about that in an abstracted and magical way with a fictional universe that brings me a lot of comfort. i hope this makes sense lol

oh and also with that in mind if you think for even a second any of this is a weird sex thing for me or some shit please stop reading this post and go do something else with your time. this is my trauma expression and i don't need to be compared to the people i was abused by when i was a literal toddler thank you!

AANYWAY so! premise! gonna be point blank with it! vee (not her original name but shh) is born as a normal 100% human girl, aka without the eevee ears and tail. she is groomed from a very young age (like, toddler age) and eventually abducted by her groomers which happen to be members of... well right now it's team rocket because i haven't spent the time to worldbuild a new villainous pokemon organization yet. roll with me here. she is taken to a remote facility out in the middle of fucking nowhere and is never returned to her previous life or family.

Why? well i'm glad you asked! the org is running a bunch of different experiments in this facility and one of them happens to be trying to enable humans reproducing with pokemon. this doubles as both a money thing and a power thing. they seek out a child as the victim of these horrible experiments because children are easily malleable. way easier to control a child than an adult who already has a firm identity/self.

vee is the child they chose. surgery is forcibly done on her to give her working eevee ears and tail, and also like, fuck with her body chemistry and stuff. she's biologically part eevee now. yes this is bullshit pokemon magic science LMAO but she is kept in this facility and chronically sexually abused for a few years by pairing her with various mons and trying to get eggs to happen.

the experiment isn't working though so they hypothesize that giving her a dedicated partner, especially of the same evolutionary line, would help, and they raise nova from birth as an eevee to take on that role. eventually the two of them are paired together. despite the acts they are forced to commit on each other and the abuse they endure, they actually become inseparable very quickly cause like. they don't have anyone else. and also they just genuinely care about each other. additionally at this point nova has evolved into an espeon and has telepathic powers, so him and vee can communicate linguistically with each other, so you know that helps

generally my current focus of this story is in the early years, when vee is 12 and younger, before they start realizing that shit is fucked up and they need to escape (up until that hypothetical point they have been successfully groomed into believing everything happening to them was not abuse/was normal). i have left out a metric fuckton of detail here just to get across the basic premise. i am constantly exploring vee's psyche, nova's psyche, it's like an in depth exploration of the mind of an abused child in horrific circumstances and god it's cathartic. i love these two so fucking much

btw i guess this art has more context now huh haha after i infodumped off the plot to my sister they looked at this art again and was like. OHHH THIS IS EVEN MORE OMINOUS AND HARD TO LOOK AT WITH CONTEXT. AND I WAS LIKE YEAH!!!! YOU SEE THE VISION!!! THE SYMBOLISM!! ETC!!!!

uh yeah if you read this far thank you and i just wanna say i've been building up the courage to talk about these two for GENUINELY two years, it has been over 2 full years since that initial drawing, and i am nervous and jittery posting this but i do not want to die without having shared my work with the world and i'm willing to take the risks to get my voice out there. so you reading it is very much appreciated ur like my first step into being more confident as a survivor lol

Many people love Eevee and it's evolutions, and you are no exception. Your team consists of the adorable pokemon.

Your life is pretty eevee-centric, and if it wasn't before, it certainly is now. Balancing all their needs makes for a unique adventure.

You figured at that point you might as well commit, so you got yourself a neat little eevee jacket.

All your eeveelutions have appropriate nicknames fitting their typings and personalities, and recently you managed to befriend a baby Eevee.

Liko and Roy both coo over the bundle of fluff in your arms, the tiny 'vee blending into your coat near-identically.

They're quick to bombard you with questions about what you want to name him, or what you plan to evolve him into.

You chuckle slightly, scratching the Eevee's head. “I think i'll leave that for him to decide, hmm?”

Both of them volunteer to help look after Eevee, eager to see what the evolution pokemon will choose.

It makes for a lively scene on the already lively airship, that's for sure. Your baby Eevee always seems to be getting into some trouble or other.

It's not a rare sight to see a bit of a goose chase led by a familiar bundle of fluff.

Liko and Roy both always end up getting roped into it, somehow.

You have a lot of knowledge when it comes to the Eeveelutions (both from raising them yourself and your own passionate research) and the kids love to hear about it!

You'll recite Leafeon's pokedex entry off from memory or explain to them Umbreon's habits and environment when out in the wild, and they're listening like :0

First thing Liko ever noticed about you was your jacket, actually. She thought it was so cute! (She kind of wants one for herself now, too. Maybe a Nyahoja one?)

While Liko holds a more quiet admiration for you and your Pokemon, Roy's enthusiasm is hard to ignore.

Yuma and Eevee

You Heard of Detective Pikachu... Get ready for Detective Eevee!

Yuma's Eevee is also a top detective. (it also strongly resembles him) Raised in the WDO all it's life, it has a lot of strong insight and can usually tell if a culprit has malicious intent behind them. (but since it only senses malicious intent it isn't always right on the culprit) It's also very helpful during investigations. (its had lots of experience) With Yuma having amnesia, Eevee is very helpful to him during crime scene investigations.

Of course, because of this, it does not get along with Shinigami. Because of Eevee's strong insight, it can sense her. (and pokemon and human are bound in this world by a link, so whatever yuma can see, eevee can usually see too) Being the jealous type, she calls it a “rat” constantly telling Yuma that it would just get in his way. With both of them being Yuma's partner, they became rivals. They fight and argue a lot (shinigami can understand pokemon speech) causing poor Yuma to get a headache. Yuma also has Shinigami translate what Eevee says during investigations. (tho she almost never complies unless yuma says "please" or begs her, causing eevee to get annoyed with her again) The fighting never ends with them.

Eevee does get along fairly well with the rest of the nocturnal detective agency’s Pokémon partners. It becomes best friends with Desuhiko’s partner, it has a fellow kinship with Halara’s partner since both are oddly colored, when it later meets Fubuki’s partner for the short time it comes to their aid it gets along pretty okay with it, its a little wary of Vivia’s partner, but it doesn’t hate it. And it likes to hang and take naps with the chief's partner when its at the agency (though it isn’t often) Outside of the agency, the only other Pokémon it knows personally is Kurumi’s partner. It actually has a huge crush on Eevee and loves following it around whenever Yuma and Kurumi are together. And it eventually meets Makoto’s partner, though it isn’t until MUCH later. Makoto lies saying he doesn’t have a partner when he first meets it and Yuma. But in reality, he's hiding it from sight.

Eevee can join in the Mystery Laybrinth as a guest due to the Coalescence ability since it is usually on Yuma's shoulder. Meaning it does sadly forget the case it helped it's master investigate. But it helps in other ways. When in a Mystery Labyrinth, Eevee holds onto the Solution Keys until Yuma asks for them. It carries them in a little keyring. After the mystery is solved it forgets the event like any other guest. But it makes Yuma bond with it more, since he remembers.

HUGE RAINCODE SPOILERS BELOW

Being the partner of Number One of the WDO, Eevee completely objected to his master using the Book Of Death to erase his memory for the Kanai Ward Mystery. (so it already didn't like shinigami) But he told Eevee to look after him and always be by his side to help Shinigami form him into a detective using the skills they both learned in their journey becoming Number One, together.

Since this was a command from it's master, Eevee obliged. It cared deeply for him and made sure to keep a watchful eye on him.

Through Yuma's amnesiac journey, Eevee remained by his side. Despite Yuma forgetting about it, he still allowed it to stay with him no matter how much Shinigami protested. It proved helpful in every case and even in the Mystery Labyrinth. And is even a good source of comfort for Yuma whenever he gets anxious. (he gives it hugs :3) It was always cheering for him, even if he lost his memory.

Though the memory loss does cause a bit of friction in their relationship. It even causes them to fight in Chapter 4. Due to it having the same worry as Vivia, because Eevee knew who the culprit was from the start. (Sensing the murderous and malicious intent from the culprit when he rescued Yuma) It felt conflicted and caused it to be distant from Yuma. It was both disappointed in his reluctance and worried for his feelings. Even though it knew feelings had to be discarded in these situations, with the methods of the WDO (and Number One himself) it knew for so long.

Though after Yuma got stronger from the ordeal and before the final battle, the two were practically inseparable. Shinigami even earned a bit of respect for it (though she still calls it a rat)

Up until they reach the ugly truth and Makoto reveals himself behind the mask, as well as the partner he's kept hidden all this time.

Shinigami and Eevee finally make attempts to team up to help Yuma get through the last laybrinth and final battle with his homunculus. Helping him out of the despair he feels losing who he is when both of them remember who he truly is and that he shouldn't give up. Because they're both by his side.

Once he snaps out of it the final battle between the two begin. Eevee fights Mimikyu while Yuma fights Makoto.

In the end they are both defeated. And they find the solution for Kanai Ward's mystery. Eevee comforts Mimikyu the whole time Yuma is talking to Makoto.

In the end, Shinigami acknowledges Yuma's partner and admits defeat. Allowing Yuma to leave from the emergency exit. Telling him he already has a great partner. Though the goodbye was still tearful and emotional. Even Eevee shed a few tears. It had began to get used to Shinigami's company. But it knew this would happen, but she would be missed. Eevee comforted Yuma until the fated goodbye kiss from her, as both of them left through the emergency exit.

Upon the Epilogue of the story, the final labyrinth, and Yuma getting his memory back after parting ways with Shinigami, he embraces his beloved partner as Eevee squeals in joy with it's beloved master's memory returned.

"Thank you, Eevee. Good work."

Eventually with his resign from the WDO and journey through the world to erase all unsolved mysteries, his Eevee eventually evolves into Umbreon during a case at night. Becoming ESPECIALLY more useful in night investigations. Using it's glowing rings to help navigate through the dark, AND it can now produce ultraviolet light to help investigate in crime scenes (in a way it became its own forte although its rings are blue it can also produce purple light) The duo was stronger than ever now that they've both evolved from the Kanai Ward experience, together.

The Noir Detective and his Partner of the Night~🔎

(Yuma and Eevee were more like business partners when he was Number One with it as his partner, but the journey through Kanai Ward made Yuma love and care for Eevee as a friend, and thus post game when Yuma appreciates Eevee more with his memories back from the experience, the friendship evolution finally happens. The Journey helped them both grow as individuals, and as friends)

LEO/NEED-

Most of Leo/need's partners are simply companions- Ichika and Shiho know a bit of battling, and Honami has been gettng better at it, but they're really just in it for the friends! Saki does love watching Pokemon Contests though (especially her brother's :)) Also lore wise I think they have encountered Jirachi before. (It fits so well... starry wishes...)

Ichika- she inhereted the family Maractus after taking such good care of it as a kid. Maractus loves to dance along while Ichi is practicing rhythm guitar! Almost like a spiky metronome haha. I can also see her with a Furrett, but I don't have a reasoning other than vibes.

Saki- her partner all through childhood is a yellow Minior! A fragile yet beautiful star glowing through the night :) Minior doesn't battle but it is a good friend!!!! I also think Saki would really like Pancham for some reason. All of her pokemon have nicknames, and now all of Leo/need's do to.

Honami- I don't know what to tell you Appletun was literally made for this girl. It follows her around to her housekeeping jobs and helps make really sweet apple dishes! There was also a Grookey she encountered often in elementary school but never had the courage to catch. The pair reunited a bit after the formation of Leo/need, and officially became part of the team! Grookey quickly evolved into Rillaboom (she really likes playing drums with Hona). Honami's mother has a Blissey, who sometimes goes with Honami to housekeeping jobs as well! (Blissey really likes Kanade)

Shiho- her first Pokemon was a Toxel that she absolutely adores. Toxel evolved into a Low-Key Toxtricity around middle school! People are a bit intimidated by him, but it's mostly just a front. Toxicity is a very protective Pokemon and the strongest battler in Leo/need. She also has a Bunneary that is very near and dear to her. Pampered little princess. Nobody at school knows Bunneary exists. She also takes care of the family Kantonian Vulpix, the little sister of Shizuku's Alolan one!

MORE MORE JUMP

Pokemon Performers! Probably more of the Kalosian variety than Hoenn/Sinnoh, focused on the true performance of it over any sort of battling. Similar to the main story, in which Haruka, Airi, and Shizuku are all popular but disillusioned celebrities who meet Minori, a hopeful fan who dreams of being an idol, too. They reignite their dreams through the Power of Friendship.

Minori- her first partner was an Eevee! The two of them would watch Haruka's performances and try and replicate them constantly. Eevee doesn't ever want to evolve and Minori completely supports that. Just because Eevee is a normal type first evolution doesn't mean it can't pack a punch! She also has a very very energetic Yamper. It's more of a family pet than a true partner pokemon, but she loves it just the same! I also think Minori would have a Tatsugiri but I cannot figure out lore reasoning why. I think she just would.

Haruka- Haruka is SOOOO Prinplup coded like I do not know what else to say. Piplup was her starter that she absolutely ADORED. Thinks it's the cutest thing ever. Prinplup was there for her during her lowest moments and has always been a responsible, guiding light. Haruka has since also caught an Eiscue.

Airi- Personally, I choose to believe allergies do not exist in the Pokemon world because it would be heartbreaking to not be able to pet all of them (all of them). Also so Airi can have a Skitty!!! Skitty is a spunky thing that has great performance chemistry with Airi! They were popular on variety shows since Skitty is so dang cute. Ever since joining MMJ, Airi has been working with Skitty on learning to battle (for real, not scripted like the past).

Shizuku- Her family had an Alolan Vulpix that became her partner at a young age. The agency made her evolve it into a Ninetales "to better fit her image", even though Ninetales wasn't quite ready to do so. Still, Ninetales is really happy to be around Shizuku and often helps make sure she doesn't get lost. Shizuku loves pokemon a whole ton, but was only allowed to have one partner with her old group. After becoming part of MMJ, she catches a Slowpoke because she thinks its really cute. (Airi finds this fitting.) She's also caught a Feebas that evolved into Milotic!

VIVID BAD SQUAD

VBS are all battle trainers! Singing is still all their main passion, but hey! Why not have some pokemon battles there too? Vivid Street has a huge music and battle culture because of it. Since a lot of VBS's story centers on partnership, they each only have one main partner pokemon, but still work best within a team setting. They often do double battles!

Kohane- MORPEKO. SHE IS MORPEKO. innocent yet menacing hampster creatures.... there is nothing else more to say here. It is correct. (Count Pearl is her dad's Ekans who Kohane loves very much and everyone else is terrified by, btw)

An- she would do well with a Luxio! An would absolutely be an electric type trainer, and Luxio just seems like a good fit :) She grew up with Shinx, a gift from her father, and he evolved into a Luxio sometime around middle school? Luxio's the type to get An out of her own head when she starts feeling insecure about her own abilities. Also An puts little star clips on him during performances.

Akito- he chose Scorbunny as his starter, and the two loved playing soccer together! Scorbunny really loves being on the stage, even if it wasn't the best performer at first. Scorbunny has always stuck by Akito's side, no matter what. Scorbunny evolved into Raboot a bit before VBS formed, but after meeting Toya. It then evolved into Cinderace during the (equivalent) events of Burn my Soul!

Toya- he was raised alongside a supportive yet quiet Riolu. Since the Riolu line is able to read emotion, Riolu was often the one to realize Toya's own feelings before he could. Riolu, with Tsukasa's help, was the one to push Toya to leave classical music behind. Since meeting Akito, Riolu has evolved into a formidable Lucario. (It's a secret, but Souma has been trying to track down a Lucarionite for him...)

WONDERLANDS X SHOWTIME

Wondershow are all Pokemon Performers! Tsukasa started because he saw how much they made Saki smile (even though he could never get past the appeals round, he kept trying). Emu loves the energy, and since her family sponsored most competitions, she could compete often! Her style is very. wonderhoy. Nene wanted to be a performer, but after an embarrassing mistake in her childhood, gave up on that dream. Rui was banned from most competitions for "too dangerous of combinations" so often performed on streets (this doesn't go well). The four end up banding together to perform as a unit!

Tsukasa- It's a bit of an unconventional take, but- Ampharos! Tsukasa has always been a guiding light to those around him, so why not the Light Pokemon herself? Ampharos is equally confident and dramatic as her partner. They make a good team. Despite all his pegasus-ness, he does not actually have a Ponyta or Rapidash. He does like them a lot, though.

Emu- she sooooo has a Tinkaton. Small pink thing massive hammer complete life satisfaction. I'm also giving her a Stufful because I love Bewear and I love Emu, and because pink thing that is a menace.

Nene- her starter pokemon was a Popplio! Popplio is a lot more outgoing than Nene and tries his best to get Nene more comfortable in social situations. Popplio evolved into Brionne a bit before the fated show, but after her and Rui drifted apart. Brionne then evolved into Primarina after the Little Mermaid show. Instead of Robonene, Rui had created Magearna for Nene. Magearna acts as Nene's own personal protector, which she finds very sweet. She tries not to think about the implications of Rui creating an actual living pokemon in his garage for her.

Rui- his partner has always been a Rotom- a mischievous little thing! Rotom helps out with Rui's inventions, and is a great help for shows. It was really just them two for a very long time- though Rui absolutely adores everything there is about Pokemon, he doesn't really think any wild pokemon would really want to be his partner (other than Rotom). Rui does end up befreinding and eventually catching the lonely Gengar haunting the Wonder Stage. (Emu adores Gengar btw). He's also taken a liking to the back alley Sprigatito...

NIGHTCORD AT 25:00

Nightcord is still just Nightcord here! Mafuyu is still expected by her mother to be a human doctor, but deep down she really wants to be a Pokemon nurse, even if she doesn't quite realize it herself. K is still a musician with pokemon to support her, Ena is still a struggling artist who now has a partner by her side, and Mizuki is still Mizuki! They don't perform or battle.

Kanade- She has an Audino that helps take care of her! Audino is incredibly patient and makes sure Kanade is eating and resting (decently) enough, and sometimes helps compose or inspire melodies. I also think her mother had a Shaymin, who she inherited upon her passing.

Mafuyu- Mafuyu didn't have a pokemon partner growing up ("too much of a distraction from your studies!", "pokemon battling isn't a real profession, it's much better for you to be a doctor", the likes). However, since meeting n25, she's secretly gained a Galarian Cursola, a Froslass, a Trevenant, and a Hisuian Zoroark. She is an absolutely terrifying battle opponent. (Later on, Kanade gives her a Happiny egg from Honami's Blissey, totally not sparking some sort of nurse-aspiring reaciton...)

Ena- SMEARGLE. NORMAL TYPE ARTIST POKEMON. Smeargle definitely paints right alongside Ena! Smeargle is super sassy and an absolute pain to deal with. They get along quite well. Having each other inspires the other to keep painting, keep going, keep getting better. They respect each other a great deal.

Mizuki- their first Pokemon was an Eevee, a gift from Yuuki! They loved brushing it's fur and making it all soft and fluffy. Eevee chose to evolve into a Sylveon during Mizuki's second year of middle school. Around their first year of middle school, Mizuki encountered a male Raltz, who later evolved into a Kirlia. Everyone expects Kirlia to evolve into a Gallade one day, but he secretly dreams of becoming a Gardevoir. One day....

Act 5.2 has been fun so far. I didn't realize how much I missed the kids until we got back to their PoVs.

Homestuck could have opened on Rose, watching her mother drink herself into a stupor - or Vriska, tossing a corpse into her spider's pit. These events are canonical, but bringing them into sharper focus would turn the story into something very different.

That Homestuck chose to start with John tells us a lot about its identity. It's a dark story, in a lot of ways - but there are much darker stories, two steps to the left.

@gravity-rocks asked: Ooo, saw the person who asked you about your thoughts on lusii and troll evolution and thought I would pitch in with my little theory. I like to believe instead of lusii being the parasites, maybe TROLLS evolved as brood parasites. All these lusii seem to have consistent blood colors, and the blood colors always match the troll theyre a guardian of. I know we havent seen baby lusii, but maybe before they become "white" their babies are a bright color, and the bright blood colors of the trolls evolved as a way to trick the lusii into caring for them. Now, not all animals actually care for their young, so it's not a perfect strategy, so some creatures taking 'advantage' of this parasitism couldve evolved side by side, which I find super interesting. And with troll genetics and slurries, that made me wonder if troll genomes are particularly unstable and able to incorporate all sorts of other dna into it, like some bacteria - perhaps lending to this ‘infiltration’ power. The troll powers and mutations relating to their lusii is really really interesting, I mean we saw sollux’s ogre lusus with similar powers. I wonder if that sort of matching dna in subtle ways influences which trolls are adopted by which lusus. Alternatively an even more interesting explanation. Trolls grow their powers over time with their lusus and incorporate more of their dna over their lifetime with them. With huge wiggled populations, the way the genetics slurry with each other, and ease of mutation, perhaps it explains how intense their anti mutant and culling sentiments are, and why they might have evolved to be as extreme as they are.

This is some great speculative biology - I particularly like the idea that trolls are highly prone to mutation, like an alien Eevee.

It is interesting that Sollux shares his eye-beams with his Biclops. Their powers are identical, so there has to be some casual relationship between the two - we just don't know what direction it's in.

For sure! The added context of Hivebent really adds a lot of texture to the plot. The playing field feels wider, and the stakes are much higher.

Zathura! Damn, it's been a while since I've thought about that movie.

I love the idea that every 'real' game in fiction is actually taking place in an infinite sea of monsters.

That's true, I guess, and you do need to get there to fight the final boss - but Sollux proved that you can freely fly between planets, if you have the means. The houses seem kind of redundant, if that's their only purpose, but I don't think it is.

Act 4, I think! Hivebent's troll worldbuilding is great - but Act 4 focused a lot more on Sburb's game mechanics, and that's still my favorite part of the comic.

We don't yet know the circumstances of his Exiling, but he probably needed to lose, to be Exiled the way he did.

As for why he needed to be Exiled the way he did... well, we've already talked about how weird and arbitrary these loops are. In the end, WV's army was just a casualty of causality - and messing around with causality is beyond the scope of the game.

Not impossible, necessarily - just beyond the scope of the game. Rose knows what I'm talking about.

It's either that, or the meteor's seed was what fell into the portal, and it grew to full size after it left the Medium. Either works.

That's all true - and I never considered that Karkat would be jealous of John's social circle. Things are just easier for him - his friends all get along, and he doesn't need to needle them into working together. Karkat's Dark Crush on John doesn't seem nearly as toxic as whatever's going on with Jack and the Queen.

Is Karkat wrong about his feelings? Do Carapacians experience kismesissitude differently? Has Hussie quietly retconned some of Hivebent's quadrant stuff?

At this point, who knows. Alternia's original view of quadrants might not even matter - it's gone, and the surviving trolls are free to do their own thing.

There were usually two stereotypes about ice-type trainers. One of the two, the trainer or the Pokemon, would be cold and distant, while the other is friendly and charming. That was sort of the situation you were in. Raihan usually fancies himself a dragon-type trainer, but he was blown away by your Glaceon's strength and couldn't resist the urge to battle you only once. Also to mention you were pretty cute, so he asked for your number.

But as usual, Glaceon had issues when it came to you and your romantic interests. Most men would give up pursuing you because of how overprotective she was. But since you had an interest in Raihan, you at least explained over text, while he was in a safe distance away from her. Glaceon was a present given to you when she was just an Eevee by your past boyfriend. You loved her very much but your boyfriend turned out to be a rather jealous man and slowly over time became suffocating with how dominating he was in every little aspect of your life. You have plans to be with your friends? You better ask him for permission and he just HAS to come along with you. No matter what. You want to spend time with your family, why do you need them? You don't need them, you just need him. He did more than just isolate you, he began to mistreat you. He could never keep a job longer than a year due to his horrible personality and expected you to care for him as a mother, not a partner. What do you mean you had a previous boyfriend before him? You better tell him every detail, he gets strange with the idea of another man having you. He didn't care for your needs, only looking out for himself. You spent many nights crying, not sure if you should stay due to how many years you'd been with him. Glaceon witnessed all of that.

You finally broke up with him and kicked him out, never hearing from him again. Effectively getting your life back by cutting him out. But Glaceon had already been affected by all this and became extremely protective over you, never staying inside her pokeball and being constantly by your side. She gave mean looks to everyone, hissed at those who tried to pet her, and wasn't afraid to attack others. By this point, you and Raihan had gotten close over messages. He knew he wanted to get to you know you better, but didn't want to impede on your relationship to Glaceon either. So what he offered next surprised you. He offered to help you get referred to a Pokemon therapist. Turns out that Pokemon need therapy too! In the case of event when a Pokemon becomes much too aggressive due to their loyalty, they could get referred to a program to help relieve their mental stress. Never having done this before, you decide to give it a try. Raihan dedicated a day of the week from his work to help you through this, coming along with you. By being consistent with Glaceon, he could show that he's a good guy. The three of you would spend three hours a week in therapy, going through trust exercises and getting adjusted to Raihan's presence. Glaceon didn't react well at first, giving Raihan a cold glare as she stayed at your feet, refusing you to get near him. But after a month of work, Glaceon did something different. Raihan usually sat at the corner of the room, close but not too close, during therapy. To show consistency and that he could provide for her, he was always the person feeding her lunch during therapy. But he could never get close enough to her, she'd stay distant until he set the bowl of food down and walked away. But this time, when Glaceon knew it was feeding time, she left your side and cautiously walked up to Raihan. Raihan couldn't help but to smile, "You know what time it is, don't you?" he laughed lightly. "Alright let me go get your food." He exited the door and Glaceon sat there, waiting for him. Her eyes were cold and focused, half expecting for him to still not come back but he did. This time with her favorite as well. Raihan set it down in its usual place and Glaceon still lingered near him before she began to eat, this was the first sign of trust you finally got her to show. You and Raihan exchange a look and smile, having finally made progress.

Things he likes

Drums!! He used to always sneak to the band room in high school in order to practice on them. At least, before he got a set of his own and all.

Honeybuns! Always loved them. He in general has a sweet tooth (blame weed brownies) but always catered to honeybuns. Any time he shoplifts you'll most definitely find him pocketing a honeybun somewhere.

Weed. This is canon, yes, but he's also tried out many of the other drug methods and hated them, simply stuck to weed.

Physical affection. He's prone to hugging and cuddling. He will hold his friends' hands if they're cold, or flop on top of them if they're stretched out on a bed (all strictly platonically). This is more pronounced when he's high.

Things he dislikes

Authority. You've never seen a man be so spiteful towards the law before/hj

Going back on promises.

Cats. Not even in the funny cat alternate way he's just allergic.

Littering. He always makes sure to pick up after himself and will make sure no one he knows/sees litters.

Social

Whenever he meets someone- unless in a formal or professional setting- he will make a nickname up for them almost immediately. Nicknames include Ads, Sar, Eevee (Adam, Sarah, and Evelin respectively), and so on and so forth.

He has DEFINITELY learned some whale facts as a kid just to spite his namesake. So y'know. If you ever happen to find yourself swallowed by a whale--

Familial

His father, Mervin, is a lawyer. He was rarely home.

This left him with his mother, Clementine (OC), who was... eh. She was the bare minimum.

One fateful day, she ran away from them with 50k from Mervin's savings and never returned. In a panic, Mervin sent Jonah off to his grandpa to live with him while the lawyer strained himself to regain the money.

This left Jonah essentially without proper parents, only his abuelo. This is where he learned Spanish, at least!

Shin-ae

Shin-ae Yoo does not pick her Pokémon for any specific reasons or strategies. She has no type preference nor do she care to have strongly trained up pokemon. Her Pokémon are her friends :)

Munchlax: Munchlax is Shin-aes partner pokemon, he is a perfect mirror of the goofy side of her personality. He loves food and naps, something shin-ae relates to heavily.

Litten: Litten is Shin-aes lil buddy. Shin-ae loves cats, thus Litten.

Eevee: Shin-aes eevee is currently unevolved as Shin-ae still isn’t entirely certain of her place in the world and who she wants to be, thus her Eevee reflects that.

Polywhirl: A pokemon Shin-ae has simply because she liked him.

Plusle: A pokemon shin-ae got in grade school…I wonder who has the Minun?

Psyduck: A pokemon Shin-ae only recently added to her team, she guesses he used to belong by someone else because of how well he’s been taken care of. He has frequent headaches. Shin-ae loves him.

Kousuke

Kousuke works for the Hirahara family business (definitely not a front for team Galactic). The Hirahara family originated from the Sinnoh region, therefor the majority of his Pokémon are from Sinnoh. Kousuke participated in a few contests when he was younger, but he left that life behind. He says he doesn’t miss it (he does).

Luxray: one of two of Kousukes first pokemon, Kousuke raised her up from a shinx and as she evolved into a Luxio and then a Luxray, the more protective of Kousuke she became. She is wary of Yui.

Lucario: Lucario is the Pokémon that Kousuke has the strongest bond with. Raised him up since he was a riolu, their strong bond during times when Kousuke felt isolated and alone is what allowed him to evolve into a Lucario. Lucario have a strong sense of right, wrong, and justice. A Lucario will not trust a person who is rotten to their core. Kousuke has been through a lot, and done a lot, but he’s not rotten to his core. Thus his Lucario trusts him. His Lucario is also wary and does not like Yui. But for the sake of his trainer he simply keeps his distance from her.

Kricketot: Kricketot is representative of Kousukes love for music, and also one of his best adversaries in contests.

Glaceon: Glaceon is a Pokémon Kousuke has had since she was an eevee. He wanted her to evolve into a Glaceon because of thought they were the pinnacle of elegance. (Glaceon are also cold and defensive. Their fur becomes prickle and sharp when they become defensive.)

Glameow: Kousukes cat companion, Glameow are known to fickle but can be very loving. Glameow is often there at the end of Kousukes days to offer comfort to receive its cuddles.

Alcremie: A gift from Kousukes mother Yui, Alcremie has been with Kousuke since he graduated high school.

Psyduck: A pokemon Kousuke no longer has. The third Pokémon he ever had, the first one he ever caught himself, Psyduck began getting terrible headaches right after Kousuke graduated from high school. One morning Kousuke woke up to find Psyduck gone.

Nol

Nols Pokémon journey has been..unconventional. He used to travel with his mother. Then he began to participate in gym battles at a young age. He was very good at gaining gym badges. He longer participates in gym battles. Nol used to have 6 Pokémon now he only has 5.

Blaziken: Nols first Pokémon he’s had since he was a torchic, one of two birthday gift Pokémon from his mother. They are very close.

Heracross: A pokemon Nol caught after a couples of incidents, where he felt he needed to protect himself better.

Growlithe: A pokemon Nol caught because he was friendly and loyal, Nol also loves any dog like Pokémon.

Gogoat: A pokemon that used to belong to his mother. He never uses Gogoat in battle.

Cubone: Cubone began following Nol around shortly after Nols mother passed. Nol initially had no interest in catching him until one day the Cubone held onto his leg for comfort. Ever since they’ve been inseparable.

Yujing

Yujing is a part time contest coordinator, part time journalist. Kousuke *was* her greatest contest competition. Now she focuses more on her journalism.

Lopunny: Her partner Pokémon and one of greatest contest adversaries. Always by her side ever since she was a buneary.

Mismagius: Yujings silent journalistic partner, together they always get the info they want.

Gardevoir: Elegant, graceful, and beautiful Gardevoir is a mirror of Yujings grace and personality.

Lapras: A trusted Pokémon of Yujings that she relies on to read and understand others.

Milotic: Considered one of the most beautiful pokemon in the world, and known for its ability to soothe others, Yujing had to have her.

Togekiss: A peaceful pokemon that Yujing often uses in contests.

Houdour: A pokemon that Yujing is taking care of for a certain kid.

Hansuke

Hansuke is a doctor of people and Pokemon! He used to travel with Kousuke to Pokemon contests when they were children, now he mostly sticks to the hospital.

Ambipom: Hansukes pokemon partner, he mirrors his goofy personality. As an Aipom, he and hansuke, along with Riolu and Kousuke would often go on outdoor adventures when they were children.

Chansey: His doctor pokemon assistant. She tries to heal Kousuke all the time for some reason.

Gallade: A pokemon he totally didn’t get to match Yujing but then he became super attached to his Ralts and now he’s a Gallade that’s his fierce companion.

Slowbro: A lazy pokemon Hansuke grew attached to.

Ampharos: A pokemon who Hansuke often utilizes on chaotic days at the hospital (or in clubs when he loses his friends) for her beacon light tail.

Marstomp: A pokemon Kousuke and Hansuke came upon when they were children as a Mudkip. They fought over who would get to catch him until Yui told Kousuke he did not need the Pokemon. And that was that. So Hansuke caught the Mudkip and told Kousuke they could both train it. Kousuke never did.

Dieter

Bears. That’s it. (However if you examine you will see all the bears are from different regions, reflecting that Dieter moves around a lot).

Min-Hyuk

Min-Hyuk grew up around Johto pokemon but now he currently resides in Unova (America).

Charizard: A pokemon Min-Hyuk caught purely because he thought he was a cool badass pokemon.

Scrafty: The Pokemon equivalent of Min-hyuk. Also a fighting type.

Timburr: Fighting type Pokemon.

Krokorok: Another Pokemon Min-Hyuk thought was too cool not to have.

Sawk: Fighting type pokemon AND martial arts pokemon

Throh: Fighting type pokemon AND martial arts pokemon

Alyssa

Alyssa is a performer in a girl group, and has pokemon that often performer with her on stage.

Chimeco: Alyssa’s first pokemon and one that has grown with her overtime. When she was a child her Chimeco was susceptible to screeching outbursts when Alyssa became too overwhelmed. Now she’s far more in control of her emotions. She performs on stage with Alyssa some times.

Whismur: A pokemon the girls in Alyssa’s group wanted her to get, as long as she never evolves her. Alyssa has grown very fond of her Whismur.

Espeon: One of Alyssa’s first pokemon, Alyssa raised her from an Eevee. She had been hoping her Eevee would evolve into a Slyveon. Because of this, her group deemed her Espeon unable to perform with them.

Bellassom: A pokemon gifted to her by Yui and Gun Kim. They told her a Bellassom would be the perfect pokemon to perform with.

Minun: A pokemon Alyssa got in grade school.. she doesn’t let this pokemon perform with her. She tries not to think about the fact that her Minun is separated from its Plusel.

Elgyem: A pokemon Alyssa caught after she left grade school, a pokemon she loves and values dearly. Her group mates do not understand why she owns this pokemon. Alyssa never shows him publicly. But she loves him.

Yui

Yui is the Lady of the Hirahara Corporation.

Vespiquen: A pokemon that is a reflection of Yuis status.

Froslass: They say a Froslass is the spirit of a lost lady. Yui just liked the thought of having a ghost pokemon.

Nidoqueen: One of her first pokemon gifted to her by her father.

Seviper: Yuis preferred pokemon type, poison. Her Seviper does not make many public appearances with her.

Roserade: Yuis first pokemon ever, whom she raised from a budew. Roserade specializes in making poisons. Yui has always been fascinated by this.

Polteageist: Yui just loves tea.

Rand

A lot is unknown about Rand, we know he traveled the Galar region. And we know he is now CEO of Hirahara corp. He also used to participate in the Pokémon league. He no longer does.

Persian: The Pokémon of a rich business man.

Stoutland: A pokemon that belonged to Nessa.

Nidoking: A pokemon gifted to Rand by his wife Yui.

Orbeetle: A galarian pokemon he’s has since he was young, a reflection of his business prowess and this pokemon is vastly intelligent.

Indeedee: Male and Female indeedee have an intense bond, and the male act as valets to their female partner. Rand has the male Indeedee. Nessa had the female. Nessas Indeedee was never recovered. Rand never calls upon his Indeedee anymore, for he is lost without his other half.

Mr.Rime: A pokemon that is a reflection of a side of Rand no one except one known person has ever witnessed. Mr.Rime is rarely seen, but when Kousuke was younger he would often be found attempting to entertain him and make him laugh. Yui put an end to that. Rand hides him away now.

Summary: A miracle, which a talking, Eevee-like creature called Kyubeon offers to N, seems to contradicts his belief

Author's Note: N has the He/They swag, which is why i often switch between those two pronouns here, lmao. Don't expect that walking tree(??) to have a consistent pronoun.

No wishes could be granted at no cost

That’s what his first human friend, Hilbert, has taughted to them on the day the truth was revealed. At first, they shakes upon hearing that notion, unable to proceed the harsh reality. But slowly, his heart finally opens and accept this cruel truth.

They hold close those words laced with thorny tendrils onto his chest. Never even once straying from those bitter words.

Yet now, right in front of their own eyes, a pokemon … no, a creature white as a snow with eyes red as an apple, offering him a miracle, which contradicts their forbidden knowledge bestowed by the ‘serpent’ who guides him to escape that false Garden of Eden (according to Ghetsis, minus that ‘false’ word— but hey, that wasn’t relevant, doesn’t it?).

“This better be some nonsense joke …” That green haired former king … no, former puppet murmurs, shaking at each words they whispered.

“Did you not believe what you just saw with your own eyes?” That Eevee-like creature stares at them with an empty eyes. “My my, human are such a fascinating being.”

A white creature they barely know and despises validating them as a human being. Meanwhile, the man they've known for their entire life, which they once loved shamelessly admits that they’re nothing more than a freak without human heart. Ah, what an irony, doesn’t it?

They don’t know what to do. Their heart aches with a longing for miracles. However, their brain acknowledge the fact that something, everything, is wrong.

After a long pause of silence, that green haired human continue to ask that suspicious creature many questions.

“Could your wish really comes true?”

“Undoubtly, as long as you’re willing to pay.”

“What’s the price for one wish, exactly?”

“To accept your very own Soul Badge and accept your new fate to fight against Dark Champions.”

“Please, elaborate further on Dark Champion!”

“It’s an evil being who spread curses and despair. Magical Trainer must fight against them.”

“How can a Magical Trainer manage to beat them?”

“With their power, of course.”

“Where did their power comes from, specifically?”

“Soul Badge.”

“What exactly is this Soul Badge? Indeed, it created from wishes and gives Magical Trainers power. But, Kyubeon, what, exactly, that things is?”

Silent falls the broken castle once again, even Kyubeon itself unable to handle their intelligence.

The green haired trainer was the one to break the silence first, “… and, for what purpose does that gem-like badge named ‘Soul’ …?"

Despite not having lungs, Kyubeon sighs, “N, you are a very knowledgeable person, don’t you? So I challenge you to figure out the answer to that question.”

Although being insinuated, they silently accept its challenge.

A minute or two has passed, Kyubeon still continue to stares at that distressed green haired trainer. Many theories and thesis flowing through their head.

However, there’s one which they believes as the closest to the truth and at the same time, the cruelest.

“Could it be … that …” That young trainer hesitates, fear of the truth came back to haunt him. “Soul Badge … created out of soul of the contractee ...? A badge … as a prove that their prayer has been answered?”

The empty castle once again drowns beneath silence.

However, this silence was much more peaceful than the eeriness of something called truth.

With red eyes glowing amidst darkness of the empty, broken castle, Kyubeon humbly replies, “… It seems that you are just as smart as i predicted.”

Poké-OCs: Chrys Anthem!

Chrys is the mc I’ve created for Scarlet! The cutiest patootie, isn’t he? In Japanese, his name would be Kikuo (キクオ)

Age: 14 (Scarlet/Violet)

Hometown: Montenevera, Paldea → Wyndon, Galar → Cabo Poco, Paldea

Trainer Class(es): Naranja Student, Paldea Champion, (Honorary) Blueberry Champion

Chrys’s grandmother is none other than the MC of RIP, Ryme! That makes Tyme is great aunt, or as he likes to call her, “Grantia!”

His father, thus Ryme’s son (at least one of lmao), is Pomelo Anthem— a famous actor for films and TV! Pomelo tends to star in a lot of action-packed roles fitting his naturally charismatic personality. He’s often quite the busy combee, but he always does his best to make time for his beloved family.

Chrys’s mother is named Asoka! She’s from Galar and has the biggest green thumb! Berries, veggies, herbs— you name it, she can cultivate it! Usually sells her produce at farmer’s markets, though sometimes she’ll be commissioned (would that be the right term??) to grow/harvest specific items for more private use (such as rare berries).

Chrys himself is a very friendly and sociable boy, who finds it easy to talk with just about anyone and loves to make new friends! Even if he wasn’t related to celebrities, he would be incredibly popular, lmao.

Chrys was born in Paldea (Montenevera specifically), but moved to Galar (Wyndon) when he was about 6. Pomelo was hired for a smash-hit TV series that was filmed there, and Asoka wanted to spend some time back in her home region. The Anthems ended up becoming good friends with Peony and his wife (I named her Daphne and have some thoughts on her I hope to share soon), and thus Chrys became befriended with Peonia (or Nia as I usually call her for more distinction) and Penny! Since Penny and Chrys are closer in age, they were often in classes together for most of elementary and middle school, as well as Trainer’s school. They have an incredibly close, sibling-like bond— Chrys is one of the few people that can encourage Penny to come out of her shell without sheer force or an Eevee-related incentive.

Chrys would often tell Penny about his dreams of going to the same school his dad attended back in the day: Naranja Academy! Penny was so fascinated by Chrys and Pomelo’s stories of the academy, she eventually wanted to go to Naranja with Chrys too! They were planning to enroll together at the eame time… but Pomelo wouldn’t be able to move back to Paldea until his tv series fully wrapped up. So, 12 year old Penny wanted to try Naranja out for herself to gain more independence… but we all know how that went. After the Team Star incident, Penny came back to Galar and ended up telling her family and Chrys everything that happened. While they were all understanding and never mad at her or anything, Penny always placed a lot of guilt on herself.

When Chrys and Penny became 14, Pomelo’s show finally wrapped up, allowing him and his family to move back to Paldea! Since Penny’s retreat was wrapping up as well, the two decided to take the plunge and follow on their promise to go to Naranja together. So this deters a bit from canon where Penny just... hacks the player's phone as Cassiopeia and all that. Instead it's more like Penny lets Chrys in on her Starfall plan from the get-go since she knows Chrys is great at battling, and Chrys goes along with the plan (even though he keeps insisting Penny should just come forward and tell Team Star everything herself).

Chrys also meets Nemona and Arven and joins in on their story routes from the game too! I'm debating on if Penny might have stayed at Chrys's house in Cabo Poco the night before they started school, so Nemona (and Arven?) might meet her a little earlier? But regardless, Nemona is immediately ecstatic about Chrys being such a good trainer. Chrys was already planning on trying out the gym league, so having a new big sister friend cheering him on is all good!

Chrys meets Arven and Koraidon the same way the players do in the games! Here's a little dialogue thing I've written up when Arven asks for his help with the Herba Mystica.

Arven: Oh, hey! So we meet again. You remember me, right?  Chrys: Yeah, I do, from the lighthouse! I don’t think I ever got your name though.  Arven: Oh, did I forget that? You show up with the Student Council President, and you’re the great nephew of Ms. Tyme— not to mention your grandmother and dad are also pretty famous. The whole school’s been talking about you nonstop.  Chrys: All good things, I hope.  Arven: Nah, don’t worry. You’re basically Mister Popular from the jump. Actually, I’m glad I can talk to you more one-on-one. Normally I don’t show up super often for class, but… well. Since you know about you-know-who, and you’re already really strong… I wanna ask a favor Chrys: Favor? Arven: You’ve gotta help me out so I can finally make my dream a reality! Chrys: … What dream? Arven: Caught your interest, have I? Well, this might come as a surprise, but I’m all about that picnic life: the great outdoors, the perfectly prepared sandwiches, all of it! Chrys: Really? Judging from the massive backpack you got… I never would’ve guessed.  Arven: You wouldn’t? Chrys: That was sarcasm  Arven: Oh. Right.  Chrys: But anyways, that sounds fun! Do you like cooking and hiking and all that too? Arven: You bet I do! I’m not half bad at cooking either, if I do say so myself. Right now I’m researching new recipes that’ll help pokemon feel better. Real health food, see. Chrys: Isn’t that almost all food, though? It all helps pokemon regain energy and recover from status conditions in one way or another.  Arven: I mean yeah but… I’m looking for something a little more specific. I found this book the other day, and it has a whole section about something called Herba Mystica. Basically, they’re special herbs that come in five different types, and supposedly just one lick of them as powder can get blood flowing, provide nutrients, prevent aging— it’ll even boost the immune system! They seem like the real deal. Only found in Paldea, and rare to boot!  Chrys: Oooooo! Then you want a foraging buddy to help you look for them?  Arven: Well… not just that. The book says the herbs are all guarded by Titan pokemon, meaning it’ll be pretty tough to grab even a few sprigs. Because well… look at ‘em. Chrys: Oh wow.  Arven: Yeah. I really want to get my hands on some of those herbs, but… I’m not very good at pokemon battles, as you saw this morning. I don’t really know anyone close enough with strong pokemon to lend me a hand, either. I do not want to crawl to the student council girl because I’d never hear the end of it. But here you’ve waltzed in, and you’d be perfect for it!  Chrys: I mean… truth be told, I am pretty curious about this Herba Mystica stuff. It might be cool to even try and collect some for my mom to try and cultivate!  Arven: Your mom’s a gardener? Chrys: Yep, she loves figuring out what different plants need to thrive properly. Arven: So… you’re willing to help me?  Chrys: Yeah, I don’t mind! Plus, you’re Koraidon’s… trainer? Owner? Technically? Arven: Eeeeh, I wouldn’t say that. We have some… history, though. I don’t want to get into all of it.  Chrys: Sure, I get it. No pressure. 

I'm still playing through/wrapping up Scarlet, and some stuff like Chrys's trip to Kitakami will probably be it's own separate lil posts, but!! I'll include various notes on the blorbo

Has a tendency to pick up every little item he sees, follow rivers to their source, and generally take his time exploring all the little nooks and crannies he comes across!

Loves to take cute pictures of himself and pokemon he finds on his travels (even if he doesn’t catch them)... Photography becoming his main hobby/passion would actually work really well jk unless

Like he knows who he is as an individual and stuff, but doesn’t really think that’s enough? As much as he knows his family loves and supports him in whatever he decides to do, he doesn’t really know for himself at all. He likes training and looking after pokemon, creative pursuits (art, music, photography), and homemaking skills like gardening and cooking— but he’s not sure what he wants to do with those skills other than use them to express himself/help others.

Has no idea what to do about being this “chosen one” (Legendaries flock to him for whatever reason lmao) 

He tends to bottle up his negative emotions (especially if something really shakes him up) because he doesn’t like causing other people to worry about him. 

Terrified of the Paradox Pokemon… Koraidon is like the only one he likes.

Chrys and Kieran will be boyfriends… eventually (They gotta get through the divorce arc first /hj). Their main ship name is PinkUpdoShipping (because I have the cute idea Kieran ties his hair up as BB Champion partially inspired by Chrys usually having his hair in a short ponytail too). Another alt name is AppleOrangeShipping (Since Kieran is associated with apples, and I associate Chrys with oranges quite a bit)

You know, some time ago I talked about the relationships between the Explorers, and how they're pretty clearly a disconnected group of people with a lot of rifts and divides between them. In the little relationship chart I showed I specifically highlighted Spinel as distinctly isolated from everyone else who has some interpersonal connections with each other. But thinking about it more, while that still holds true, I wonder if Spinel's isolation from everyone else to the group may have more to it than I initially thought.

Looking at it, he seems to really more come off as something of a social recluse who does not interact with people well, especially face-to-face. He seems to have traits that mirror Dot: namely he stands out as someone who is tech-savvy and Internet-savvy as well, using technology and the Internet to his advantage. He's also seemingly a reclusive shut-in who stays holed up in a room with a computer and commands his Pokemon from afar so he never has to interact with people face-to-face. Which is to say, he's evidently not good at interacting with people, and not only that, he would actively prefer not to interact with others if he can manage to do so. The closest admin to him is Chalce, but even then there's some distance between them.

But on the other hand, while he doesn't really care for his fellow Explorers admins and they don't really like him either, particularly Amethio, Coral, and Sidian who also mutually dislike him in turn, he's very close with his Pokemon. Most notably his main partner is an Umbreon, who is a friendship evolution, ie evolves from Eevee by sharing a close bond with its Trainer. Spinel very clearly loves and cares about his Umbreon, and Umbreon in turn is also very loyal to him. His Umbreon also has a defensively oriented moveset with Reflect, and moves like Foul Play and Snarl to turn the opponent's power against them while hitting them. This makes Umbreon come off as a protector of Spinel, who is loyal to him and will always protect him and be by his side no matter what. If there's anyone he considers his friend, it's his Umbreon, and from the way they interact Spinel does in fact cherish it and consider it his very dear friend. He's also relatively kind to his other Pokemon like Magneton and Beheeyem, as even when they both failed him, he didn't treat them badly. I think he's someone who is capable of forming bonds with Pokemon and loving them, and that his deal is that he does not like people, but trusts Pokemon instead, and for some reason is more capable of forming close relationships with Pokemon.

When Friede and Spinel met in person for the first time, Friede calls Spinel "shy". Friede seems to notice that Spinel very distinctly comes off as a loner, to the point where he's surprised Spinel would even work with his other admins in any capacity (and Spinel admits he's just using them to keep his hands clean, admitting he is a loner).

Spinel is also very notably a complete and utter yes-man to Gibeon, completely following any order Gibeon gives, which the other four don't. There's something going on there, like he might be trying to win over approval from Gibeon because he wants his talents and skills to be recognized by someone and sees Gibeon as that person. That might also explain his hostility towards Amethio and the other admins, because he sees them as a threat to that.

Spinel is certainly interesting in this light. The other admins all have their own struggles and insecurities that contribute to the group's overall disconnect, but they keep close with certain others despite disliking the rest. Amethio and Coral both seem to want to belong somewhere, and they do have their own close connections with Amethio having two subordinates in Zirc and Onia who care about him and he cares about as well, and having a close relationship with Hamber, while Coral and Sidian are close, and they're both close with Chalce. But Spinel is a loner who doesn't get along with humans but does however get along with his Pokemon. He has no close relationships with his fellow Explorers members, but is kind to his Pokemon, with his closest partner being his Umbreon who he cares about dearly and Umbreon cares about him as well.

I do wonder what led Spinel to join this group and what he will do. He has his own motives and will likely contribute to the disconnect of the Explorers that may prove Gibeon's downfall. Amethio, Coral, and Sidian seem like they'll be good ones who might help the RVT in some way or another, but Spinel may betray Gibeon for his own self interests. But looking at all this, his character is actually quite interesting and unique.

My house of stone, your ivy grows and now I’m covered in you. *Noah’s POV* I laid down on the bed as The Office played on my iPad while I waited for Ellie. I still can’t believe this is real and that she wanted to be with me. I felt like I finally found my person, I just hope I didn’t scare her away with what I said. All of it was true, I wanted to be the one to love her right. Sometimes I catch myself being a hopeless romantic and I can’t stop it. There’s something about making someone feel loved that gives me the greatest feeling.

“Hey you.” 

I look up and see Ellie standing there with a suitcase, causing my jaw to drop. She was wearing black biker shorts with one of our band shirts and checkered vans. Her black hair was so vibrant, giving the impression she washed it and it cascaded down her back in loose waves. Her red lipstick still hasn’t made another appearance but her glossed lips looked so fucking kissable. If I wasn’t already laying down I would’ve folded so fast. “Is that…” “Eevee with a Katana in her mouth?” Ellie replies pointing to her thigh tattoo. “Yeah it is.” “I never noticed it before.” I stuttered, realizing it was because my head was between her thighs most of last night. She just smiles at me before crawling onto the bed and over me. Her scent of vanilla and salted caramel filled my lungs as she kissed me like she missed me. I surrendered to her as my hands wandered down her back and grabbed a handful of her ass as our kiss deepened. She seemed to like that as a soft moan escaped her mouth. I smirked in satisfaction as I gave her another squeeze before rolling her over on the bed, wanting to be in control. Ellie wrapped her arms around my neck, pressing me into her body as close as she possibly could as I returned to her mouth. I pulled away for a moment to start planting kisses on her neck and jawline, trying my best to not mess up her make up. The more I kissed her the more I started to feel her pulse underneath her shorts, it was stirring something up in me. “Fuck.” I cursed as my phone rang. I got off the bed and ran my fingers through my hair, taking a few breaths before answering the phone. It was Matt…the fucker has the worst timing I swear. “Yes?” “Hey man did I catch you at a bad time?” Matt answered as he heard my heavy breathing. “Wait…were you guys fucking?” “What do you want?” I laughed, looking over at Ellie who just sat up and straightened herself out. She looked flushed and I couldn’t help but love the look on her. “I got you two flights at 8am tomorrow morning. Soundcheck is at noon I think so you’ll have to run over here after you land. I got you a separate room at the hotel we’re staying at too. I’ll text you the details.” “Thanks man, I owe you.” “You’re goddamn right you do! I don’t get paid enough to keep booking flights for you, and well, now your girlfriend.” “We’re not -“ “Yeah yeah” Matt says, cutting me off. “Come back, the kids miss you.”

Matt hung up and I couldn’t help but laugh at what he said. Of course I wanted Ellie to be my girlfriend. I’m sure it was something worth mentioning but I didn’t want to overwhelm her. We got down to the hotel parking lot and Ellie held my hand as she lead me over to her car. She grabbed her key and hit the unlock button, causing a black Audi SUV to light up. I raised my eyebrow, maybe she’s more well off than I thought. “This was a gift from my parents when I got pregnant.” She said, looking almost embarrassed. “There’s no way in hell I would’ve been able to afford this myself.” “Your parents bought you this?” I said, my jaw still on the fucking floor.

“Well, kinda.” She replies, her eyes dropping to her feet. “My mom died from Covid when I was pregnant and she had money put aside for me in her will, so my dad used it to buy me my dream car. I’ve been driving the same Volkswagen since high school so I was due for an upgrade.” “Wow, Ellie I’m so sorry about your mom.” I sighed, giving her hand a squeeze. The other night she mentioned her parents but nothing about her mother’s death, granted I never told her much about my past, I was just shocked. “Thank you.” She says she dangles her keys in front of me, “do you want to drive it?” “You trust me with this thing?” “Absolutely.” She smirks as she walks over to the passenger side. My eyes followed her backside the whole time, making me lose my train of thought. “Hurry up, Sebastian.” I rolled my eyes at her as I walked over the drivers side. Ellie just laughed at me as I had to put the seat all the way back before I could even get in, once I did my jaw dropped again. Holy fuck this was so nice. The interior was modern, leather, black with red accents and so sleek. Jealously was an understatement. I pushed the start button and the car let out a small purr which caused me an ungodly sound to escape my mouth. “Yeah I’m getting a new car when I go back to LA.” Ellie just smiles at me as she punches in the address of the aquarium for me. I was a little nervous about driving in Vancouver for the first time but I’m sure it wasn’t as bad as LA. I put the car into drive and pulled out of the parking lot. Ellie put on some Spiritbox for us and my hand instinctively grabbed her inner thigh as I drove down the road. She kept her eyes on me the whole time and I couldn’t help but smirk. “What?” “You look so fucking hot driving my car.”  She confessed, biting her lip. “Oh yeah?” I questioned her, applying more pressure on her thigh. “Yes! It’s so unfair how good looking you are, Noah.” I felt my face getting hot the more she talked about me. I wasn’t embarrassed but I had a hard time taking compliments from people. With Ellie, I couldn’t help but blush the more she complimented me. All I wanted to do was look at her but I was too focused on driving in new territory. Once we got to a red light I quickly wrapped my hand around her throat and kissed her until the light went green again. I could get used to this. All of it.

Wait you like dusk TwT??

For some reason i thought you hated him or at least disliked it, like yknow those main characters you originally like but later on hates? As like you don't like it so you make it where everyone will hate him

Then again it might be because of how much dusk suffers in comic AND ask blog, not even mentioning how much of a jerk/evil you make him out to be

Him not getting any of the brotherhoods anything, seperating the box (creating said brotherhoods that we know is a problem), an evil mastermind or at least seems to be, Flame hates him and tells us never trust him (mind you we are led to believe Flame is more of 'the good guy' between the both of them), being careless to the other eevees, manipulating(?) daisy, you mentioning one time that dusk will be hated by everymon and gets left behind (except by Vay and Dawn i'm pretty sure) in the future

This isn't dissing you in any way, i was just genuinely surprised to learn that you liked Dusk with how much you set him up to be someone we should hate

OH YEAH YOU SEE

Dusk doing all of that and being evil was actually *drumroll plz* ... ... ... A COMPLETE ACCIDENT! One that I wasn't aware of until someone who read the comic told me! :D I as a kid just made him a Mary Sue who controlled everything and I didn't realize it! He was my favorite character actually. So then when I found out "shoot, all the things he does is actually kind of bad", I did start to dislike him, BUT YOU SEE, HE'S JUST TOO CUTE!!! And I feel sorry for him QwQ. He genuinely just wats everyone safe and only does what he does out of fear of losing control and bad things happening to everyone due to him not having said control again. Ofc, his actions are still unacceptable, but his motives are pure (most of the time). But yeah his actions are still REALLY REALLY BAD and theres no defending him at all. BUT I STILL VERY MUCH LOVE HIM DESPITE THESE ACTIONS. But he deserves everyone hating him.

But like. again, that again is another issue I personally have with SSEC, isn't it?

Dusk deserves to get punished for his actions. He lies, manipulates, and hurts everyone around him. And like, as things are right now. He def will. EVERYONE will leave him, and he'll be in the position he fears the most- being alone. TRULY alone. And no one is going to reach out their hand to help him because- why should any of them? He ruined their lives, lied to them, broke their trust, hurt the ones they love, etc etc.

But like.

I don't really want to write that anymore tbh. It would be really great to see, don't get me wrong, but like. hmm.

A story. There was a point of time where the active people in the Discord server hated on the main cast and only spoke of the In game eevees. i was hyped about them liking the eevees at first, but as time went on, people showed more and more animosity towards the main characters. It wasn't that these people hated the mains passionately, cause I'd love that. They just didn't care about them, they were apathetic. And these were the core fans that were active in the community daily. Now. I spent years and years crafting these characters and their personalities, so honestly this really hurt me. ^^; I over compensated and said things like "Oh yeah the mains are supposed to be assholes" and did things like focused more on the eevees rather than the mains. I was told things like "The main characters are just not likeable" or "I don't care about the mains, I care about (eevee who has no personality)" by these people who were big fans of my work, and just felt really really bad. Because- The main characters kind of deserve it. I made all of them have BIG flaws, i made all of them do awful things, so why not latch onto one note characters who have done no wrong? Characters who you can shape into anything because they are essentially a blank canvas. Either way, the whole experience made me not like the eevees much, something that I only came out of last year.

With the current trajectory of the series, ALL of the main characters will get exposed for all the shitty things they did and get punished for it. They are the leaders after all, the Politicians, you can say. They are the ones directly in the way of the happiness of the eevees. Their actions or Inactions directly cause mostly all of the issues in the box. They are kind of all the bad guys! Blizz gave the Icedrop leadership to Vay and beats up eevees, Vay is abusive to eevees in his own brotherhood, Bolt cant do anything without Dean and lets Dusk get away with the things he's doing, Flame just does nothing for his brotherhood, Dusk is a tyrant, Daisy is a loyal follower of said tyrant, Eve is a liar, Dawn beats up others and is NEVER THERE. LIKE! I don't blame anyone for not liking them, they are kind of all horrible if you look at it. But I still like them despite these negative traits, and like, I don't really want to write a story where they are the big bad evil guys. I don't want to write a story where the main characters loose all of their friends and hope and can't get any of them back due to their own shitty actions and just remains alone, the thing they fear the most. and I don't want everyone suffering due to the actions of these characters. I want more of well- things like this scrapped script:

Dusk: *Dusk is in the rain, his fur drenched and his spirit broken. As he walks back to the small tree he called home, he idly kicks at a pebble on the ground. Nearing the tree, he looses sight of the pebble, and he looks up, trying to use his arm to lift up the fur in his eyes.* ……? *There, he sees Blizz under his tree, holding an umbrella alone, He seemed to have been waiting for him a long time, as the glaceon was fidgeting with a leaf and there were a small pile of them on the ground next to him.* Blizz: *looks up excitedly, leaf forgotten, and waves at him* Hi Dusk!!! Dusk: *frowns, skeptical and hesitant* ….. why are you here? Blizz: *frowns at him, confused* Why wouldn’t I be here? I wanna hang out with you. Dusk: *Dusk stares at Blizz, in disbelief. Blizz….. What’s to hang out with him? After everything? After all he’s done to him and the others?* W-wha-? Blizz: *stares at Dusk, mimicking his confused expression* Dusk: What about- Everything I did? To you, to everymone! Don’t you hate me like everymon else??? Blizz: *Stares at him confused* …Why would I hate my best friend? *A silence falls between the two as they stared at each other, Dusk flabbergasted. But then, tears started rolling down his cheeks* Dusk: *breaks down, yelling* Why WOULDN’T YOU!??? I’VE MADE YOUR LIFE MISERABLE, I TOOK YOUR FRIENDS AWAY, I MADE EVERYONE LOOK DOWN ON YOU! WHY ARE YOU EVEN TALKING TO ME RIGHT NOW???? Blizz: … Dusk: YOU SHOULD HATE ME! YOU DO HATE ME! YOU SHOULD WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH ME! WHY ARE YOU HERE? JUST TO MOCK ME? JUST TO GLOAT THAT YOU WON? AFTER ALL I DID TO YOU? WHY ARE YOU EVEN HERE??? Blizz: … Dusk: CAN'T YOU USE YOUR TWO BRAINCELLS FOR ONCE AND SEE THAT I- Blizz: *He is suddenly holding the umbrella over Dusk, staring at him with intense teal eyes. He blinks* I don't care. Dusk: ... Blizz: I’m here because….. *he looks away, a lopsided frown on his face. He sighs* I know how it feels to be alone, and to have everyone seem like it’s against you. *he looks at Dusk* When it happened to me, when I was alone, when my brothers and when my friends left me and I had no one… you were always the one who held out their paw to me, and we would hang out, and you’d make me feel better. So… I wanna help you feel better too. *He smiles* and I want you to know… that you are not alone. Even if you think you are. I won’t abandon you. We're still best friends! ^^ Dusk: ... *after staring at Blizz like he's crazy, Dusk starts laughing, as tears still fell down his face* You are- an idiot, he says inbetween fits of sobs and laughs* Blizz: But I'm YOUR idiot! :D *Blizz smiles, as Dusk starts sobbing again*

But like- why would Blizz even forgive him? And even if he did, to get to this we have to slosh through a bunch of things, a civil war, a couple betrayals, more characters getting hurt, someone (not Dusk) getting disowned, more mains being frankly awful. And personally, I don't want to write that. That was never what SSEC was meant to be, but what it turned into due to poor planning. But that's what the hundreds of comics and thousands of writings have built up to, so I keep pushing on.

But I'm kind of tired of that.🙃

And if you are wondering why I keep talking about this stuff and not doing anything about it, the only reason why I'm talking about this stuff publicly is because I am in fact, doing something about it.
