All I’m saying is that someone could absolutely make a killing creating a streaming service that is solely picking up shows that other ones cancelled after only one or two seasons.

oops. Well you see I burnt my brain out from trying to draw Punk Ny again but none of it was working out so I opted to let loose and just draw my girlfriend’s version of the states. They’re not wttt, not in any way, mind you— we’ve drawn these silly fellas way before I found out about the Table! Anyways, this is Nukilik, for simplicity I won’t refer to them by the state name; also cuz my gf is really proud of choosing out names B) she loves doing that part, although I am sure y’all could probably figure out who is who. Sometimes I wish y’all asked about them tho cuz they feel more refreshing for me to talk about
This one is more sloppy because I should be asleep but. It’s okay 👌 normally I’d like to spend more time even for sketches but I’m way positive y’all know who this is. We don’t have a human name for him yet tho 🤔 Boy Kisser it is then

i'm really enjoying pathologic 2, actually. i mean, i didn't think i wouldn't enjoy it as much as i was worried it would just, i don't know, muddy the water. and maybe it will, but i'm not really bothered by that anymore. that said, i do think patho 2 took a fairly unsubtle game and increased its unsubtlety by about tenfold.
well. calling og pathologic 'unsubtle' doesn't feel quite right, but i'm not sure what word would feel right. maybe it's 'distinct in its sensibilities'. I think og patho felt more obtuse, whereas patho 2 is like. here. take it. do you get it. here is the information. do you see the themes. i am announcing them to you in such a way that you know that i am saying something thematic. i'm not far enough into the main story of 2 to be able to say that there's less reading between the lines, but it feels very much so far like there's less reading between the lines. whereas the original had a somewhat different... i don't know, affect? it felt like a hostile workplace where everyone recited shakespeare about even the mundane. in patho 2 nothing feels mundane in the first place, everything feels loaded in a way that og patho was but didn't feel, if that makes sense.
but i think that's okay. at the very least, it feels very much like leaning into the 'theater' aspect of it, which is enjoyable. pathologic 2 feels to me more like... bonus content? not to be Stuck Up For Pathologic HD but i enjoyed the feeling of grinding my face against a cinderblock, having to tease out information and conclusions. it felt like a game that you had to figure out, but you actually weren't really doing any ground-level figuring out of much; you're not a doctor, your character is, so the puzzle of Solving the Plague belongs to The Story, whereas the question of What the FUCK is This Town's Deal is your job. it's a very linear game in most respects, but all three playthroughs come through as a thematic package deal.
i so far get the impression that pathologic 2 can be played on its own and be enjoyed in its own right! however it exists to me as like. director's commentary. i'm really liking the playing with different character relationships and alternate things, the expanding of steppe language and the kin, love my worm guys, but i like it because of how it enriches my eternal mind rotation of og pathologic. sorry guys i played the original pathologic and it broke me and remade me in its image. sorry.

So I wrote six novellas.
These are what I've taken to calling Sapphic Cozy Paranormal RomCom. That's a mouthful, and hard to market. Not a lot of people looking to buy this specific little genre, but everyone who has read the series has loved it.
Here's why it matters right now!
I'm writing a new series set in this world, a series of paranormal cozy mysteries with a brand new main character and supporting cast.
And in her discovery of the magical world, our new protagonist Ophelia also discovers that the previous owner of her house wrote six sapphic novellas under the pen name Bianca Gamble.
Let me be clear that I'm not self-inserting as the previous owner!
Instead, I'm blaming all the plot holes and grammar errors on a fictional dead woman who spent way too much time making up stories about the people she watched coming in and out of her favorite coffee shop.
Anything to avoid marketing my own books, right?
So if you'd like to read Madam Vespertine's Sapphic Stories, they're published under The Fortune Cookie Chronicles by Bianca Gamble.

working on my third draft of an aromantic mermaid story and i got this paragraph:
"The mermaid grew to hate marriage, whatever it was. They started to hate the waiting, the false comforts, the lack of true care, and the imaginary savior who would be their everything. They hated him the most, that imaginary prince charming. The one that everyone promised would come one day and make them forget everything that hurt. They hated him for taking so long, for expecting them to love him just because he would show up eventually. They hated him for his impossible promises, for thinking he alone was enough to block out the memory of all the people in their life that they held dear even if their grip was slipping. They hated him for existing, for making everyone think it was alright to leave them behind because he would be there. They hated him and they hated everyone who believed in him. Everyone who would only love them temporary because they didn’t think it was important to invest their time into them because he would be there. They hated him for isolating them from everyone they could have loved and received love from. They hated him for thinking he ever had a right to. They hated him for being allowed to exist. They hated so much that it was getting hard to remember how to love when all they could feel was this choking despair and anger and disappointment at this land they saw as lovely."
and i didn't realize how much i was hurting from amatonormativity until i put the mermaid's feelings into words. because their friend in leaving them behind because he feels like he has to if he is getting married. and it doesn't matter it they still live in the castle because they will still be alone with people who only pity them and hope they find a new prince to sweep them away and make it all better. but he won't and he can't and he isn't fucking real and maybe this is why dreams are made for sleeping and where better to sleep than with the fish. stay tuned for the happy ending :D

Written for @babacontainsmultitudes <3
You fold your hands together, let them rest on your lap, and inhale and exhale deeply.
You can do this. You can do this. It’s a mantra you repeat to yourself, as surely and studiously as you once told yourself everything was going to be O-A-K, as fervently as you once begged yourself to believe your childhood wasn’t slipping away from you and turning into an adult didn’t make everything so complicated.
Today, you will try to set aside the burden of adulthood and channel your youthful dreams and wishes again, hoping they will be the key to unlocking a particular kind of magic you’ve struggled with for too long a time.
Today, you will become a wolf.
Or, Sparrow reflects on his magic, his family, and himself, and why none of it seems to be working out.
Cute bonus thing under the cut ;)
Here is a little sad love wolf doodle from my amazing wonderful precious girlfriend <3 They made this while I was being dramatic over making a summary for this

Content warnings are so fucking necessary. “Real life doesn’t have content warnings” All video media released on television, in theaters, on streaming services, or otherwise in a professional manner has ratings and brief reasons for those ratings, as well as overarching guidelines behind the ratings. That’s a fucking content warning.
“But I meant ~real~ life” Ok, no, I am not going to receive a warning before being in a mass fucking shooting. But guess what? That shit gives survivors so much psychological damage. Is that your goal here? To literally traumatize the audience? To give your audience PTSD?
“It’s not that bad tho” Then Why Won’t You Tell The Audience What ‘It’ Is? For unharmful things, it gives the audience a feel for tone and genre, and does absolutely no harm to the media or the audience. For harmful things, it allows the audience to better mentally prepare themselves for what they’re about to see—or better yet, fucking leave if they suspect it will be too harmful for them. There is no downside to a content warning.
“But-but-but it spoils the shock value!!!!” Fuck your shock value. Shock value is never enough compensation for hurting someone.
Go fuck yourself if you don’t think content warnings are necessary.

Hi! A little introduction to this blog 🔅
Identeca is a project I'm working on during 2023-2024 year in my university. The aim of the project is to research, collect materials and conceptualise instruments that would help original content artists and writers to design their character profiles and setting descriptions easily!
I have created this blog to keep track of the materials that are created or discovered in the process.
Here are gonna be posted:
• The results of the survey I conducted some time ago about the current state of affairs in OC authors communities;
• Project updates and testing information;
• Invitations to betatests and surveys;
• Ideas and drafts for OC challenges and profiles that we would come up with through testing;
• Reblogs of materials and tutorials that I find useful and cool on tumblr and want more people to see!
Hope this blog is going to be of a help to someone in the end!

secondary Lost In Space canon lore offering an in-universe explanation for the show’s tonal drift: dr smith’s personality changes over the course of the series because of “space sickness”, an interaction between the brain and space travel that some people experience which causes him to act irrationally and experience mood swings and exhibit a general kookiness
me at the time: psh okay well that’s silly that’s not a thing. ignoring it, it’s only secondary canon anyway
me now watching lost in space season 3: oh… yeah. okay. that man may have brain damage

I may do an Aatarion origin run PURELY because I want to know what the gameplay is like on the other side of the bite scene. Do you get to pick who to bite, or does it automatically select the highest-approval companion like the Dark Urge will if you aren't romancing someone? Will different companions let you or not let you bite them, or is it flat persuasion for all of them? Or is it nothing and all of them (bar Gale and Karlach, obviously) will let you bite them again. Do you have to do an ability check to stop yourself when the player would usually have that DC 5(?) persuasion check? Or do you just get to choose to let go or not, framing it as less of a need/urge and more as Astarion just choosing to ignore the player asking him to stop if they failed the check? All little bits of nuance that I'm expecting to be disappointed about after my Gale origin experience lol.
