It has been one of the biggest influences on what I find aesthetically pleasing. I know my art does not necisarilly reflect it, but whenever I go through a drawing funk, I page through it. It helps my internal vibe return back to normal.

Ok sorry if this is messy im on the bus and alao dehydrated but with what u were saying about Todd i feel like Ramona didn’t do anything wrong but more like the Evil Exes thing was intercepting into her and Scotts new life together more then it was before (ex. Envy and the backstage scene) so while it doesn’t necisarilly get more serious in how she operated withen the relationship it’s more of an intense “your past comes back to haunt you” more then the exes before and i feel like Roxy continues that pattern does this make sense -beatrix

It had been a difficult decision she loved working their but after what happened the place had never felt quite the same. Even working in the back she was on constantly edge unable to relax, a part old her expecting him to jump her or watching her from the corner.

In short she didn't feel safe there anymore, made her too anxious.

I very much agree with the audiobook focus challenges! It's funny because I just didnt ever listen to them until I had the inverse problem. When I first tried to pick up knitting, since I couldnt (and still cant really) take my eyes off my work I'd get distracted after a few stitches and break concentration. Had to start listening to audiobooks and podcasts to focus my brain while my hands did work.

But as soon as I came across a problem I'd have to pause audio otherwise my stream of consciousness / language word problem processing would just ...override the external audio input?

I'd much prefer to read on paper but that almost feels like a different set of brain tools are required.

Do you have any weird activities that arent necisarilly related but you need to put together for them to run the smoothest?

Oh, for sure. I'm pretty sure the whole busy hands/busy brain thing is just ADD in a nutshell if not just neurodivergence. I have to be watching or engaging with something while I'm eating or I simply Will Not Eat, but at the same time if I'm too engaged I also Will Not Eat. Generally while cooking I'm also doing Something Else- dishes, movie, talking to a friend, dancing to music. While driving I must do something engaging- sometimes that's podcasts and sometimes it's Jaz One Man Concert time and a lot of times I call up one of my friends to chat with them on the drive there or back. Going on a walk? Headphones and music. Cleaning? Music. Art? I have a specific drawing/painting playlist (it's entirely comprised of LOTR soundtracks and Enya). Studying Japanese? I have a live lo-fi channel I tune into in order to keep me on track.

ADD for me is Must Be Multitasking All The Time. I am unmedicated due to my other medical concerns and thus have been living life through coping strategies and lifestyle choices in order to make sure that I'm a semi-functional adult.

With my brain injury from that car accident a couple years ago, I also am really easy to accidentally overwhelm when it comes to stimulus/processing, so I have to be careful to operate under a certain threshold or else the whole thing goes to shit and now I have to retreat to a dark, quiet space for several hours. Thankfully I've gotten enough control over that that it'll be months between episodes, but it is something to think about.

Side Shots- Sam McFadden

Side shots!! Quite some time ago, I made a post conceptualizing what some of my own Sanders-style Sides would be. I said I would expand upon it a few times, but I never really got around to doing that. Well... Now I am! I’m not sure how long this mini series will go on for, but it’s a fun little mind game I wanna carry on as long as I’ve got the motivation for it. Once the first four profiles are out I might do a few little scripts  Now without further ado...

Sam is sort of my “Social” side, though like Patton she would have control over most if not all emotions. She’s very extroverted, easily excitable, and direct. I call her the Social side because she’d be the one that takes the wheel when I’m with my friends. The one who reaches out to people, directs the Random Outings, and so forth. And yes, she’s been flippin d y i n g in quarantine. We wanna get out of the house, man.

Sam’s logo is a rose, not necisarilly for romantic purposes just because roses are really cool. I had a rose hoodie that I lost pre-covid, but her outfit would be a thin black hoodie with that rose logo on the back and jeans. Maybe some temporary red hairdye but most likely just whatever color my hair happens to be at the time. 

I want to put some more info here but I’m not really sure what. As I said in the intro, I’m going to do the little script interactions once I have more of them and hopefully we can all get to know them better that way. Thank you to anyone who decides to follow this project, and I should have the next one done some time next week if I don’t get bored sooner :p

Naked bodies are so sexualized that the only really readily available source to see and understand them is porn. This is exacerbated in minority communities.

Mainstream porn, the source mentioned above, is made for white cis het people. Primarily men. The bodies we see in mainstream porn is what the audience (white cishet men) wants to see and what they then expect to see and shame bodies that do not fit this standard.

Thus mainstream porn with minority bodies only represents the bodies that this audience finds the most fuckable, not an accurate representation of a minority body.

This is especially present with trans bodies.

I've just been thinking that I want to see more porn of post phallo trans men and subsequently realizing that I dont necisarilly want it in a sexualized format, that's just what I set as a default for a nude body.
