CAPTURED - Part One

It's finally here! It's finally out! (Sorry it took like a month lol). But this is part 1 - part 2 will be out soon.

So the Meanies' and Five's plan to rescue Spooky has begun - they've recruited a rather reluctant Agent 20 to help them make their "fake problem" look a genuine as possible, and the Puzzler has gone into Olive's house to start doing his part of the mission.

I WANNA KNOW MORE ABOUT UR VILLIAN ARC FIVEEEEE

YIPPEEEE 🎉 I will give you all the information I have on her at the moment.

So - Why did she become a meanie/get a villian arc? The other Numberjacks found out about Spikes, and didn't take it well. She left them, and after a lot of thought (and slight reluctance) she decided to join the other meanies along with Spooky. It also meant she could take revenge on the Numberjacks.

What's with the hands? Sooooo....... Uh..... In my AU, in the part of the story where this happens, the Numberjacks are also fighting the Variables, which are glitchy, shapeshifting beings with unstable forms and oobleck-like skin that in their main form resemble letters. Five accidentally discovered after defeating one that when their liquid flesh gets onto them, they can control it. Since Five doesn't really have many special abilities like the other meanies do and can't use Brain Gain anymore, she uses the Variable ooze stuff as hands. (It's a lot less gross than it sounds, I promise)

What does she do as a meanie? After a lot of practice using her (incredibly limited) powers without Brain Gain, she eventually discovers that she has some control over things to do with fives, like multiples of five, stars, pentagons, etc. That then becomes her gimmick.

Any other information? It's not like a Role Reversal AU, which is why she still looks similar to her canon form. If it was a Role Reversal AU she would look a lot different, and the hands would not be involved. She quite often teams up with Spooky Spoon or the Puzzler when she is causing problems. She's mostly mad at the main four, because they were the ones who she got into the fight with. There's also a crossover of this AU with the Descendants AU, called the Descendants of the Arc AU.

Welcome to the official competition between Tumblr's worst teenagers! They are going to fight each other with fingerless glove covered fists, pocket knives and sports bags :)

Notes/Rules:

Contestants were chosen (for the most part) from people submitting characters on this post.

Every contestant is either canonically a teenager, or is heavily implied to be one. Unless people were lying on their submissions.

Using a random number generator to decide matches because brackets hurt my head

A tie will lead to a tiebreaker, and if both characters are still tied after said tiebreaker, both will go through to the next round

5, 6, 7 - 09/10/2022 : drawing of Melody was a redraw of an old drawing from 2015! it was also a substitute for OC-tober Day 9, since I didn't have anything for the prompt that day. also was drawing toni n ru in a different sort of style, focusing more on their unique shapes

8 - 12/10/2022 : a doodle of Barley, another old koopa oc, he was on my mind so wanted to have a go at drawing him again

9 - 16/10/2022 : little doodle of Robin with a different hairstyle, i was playing around with redesigning him at this stage, but i didnt get to it for awhile x

10, 11 - 18/10/2022 : Milla Vodello from Psychonauts! think i was watching a psychonauts 2 LP at the time and shes probs my fave character, also a MTT, i was playing around with his design again too, but i ended up changing it again later on

12 - 22/10/2022 : the laika kids <333 was thinking about them again and had to draw them as a lil group, this was also the substitute for Day 22 of OC-tober since i didn't have anything again for that day

23 - do you wear jewellry?: when i remember, yes. but not a lot. usually a black opal on cord my mum got me from croacia and replica mary/dean winchester from spn ring. my beaded necklace broke but i'll wear that if i can get it fixed. i also have a st christopher which my grandad got me and this conker pendent for special occassions. i don't have any piercings (yet).

I have not started the lineart lol But I have got the sketch! (I have the sketch for almost the whole thing drawn out already) Basically because of how the comic is split up, the next part's gonna be quite a bit longer than the first - however I'll try not to take a whole month to finish it this time. Numberjacks

For one of my shows, I wanted to explore the idea of multiple primary antagonists. In Number Jacks, a show about sentient numbers who fix the number related problems, they have a cast of five villains: The Numbertaker who takes numbers, and amounts of things, The Puzzler, who traps Numberjacks in puzzle bubbles until they solve his puzzles, The Shape Japer, who changes the shape and size of objects, Spooky Spoon, who will do anything to stir things up and make people uncomfortable, and The Problem Blob, who causes all type of trouble with slime.

Whilst I can appreciate the simplicity of having 5 repeating antagonists, the format of the numberjacks is incredibly limiting. It also appeals to a younger audience that I would like to target with my show.
