Alright so im going to have to give an explanation on troll reproduction because the question "is this incest?" when it comes to homestuck trolls is a complicated question and im going to explain it because you seem like you dont know homestuck. i cant believe im about to talk about troll reproduction in the year 2023 fucking hell. ALRIGHT SO! Here is the official excerpt about troll reproduction from the homestuck comic

Doing a small tangent to explain troll relationships. trolls have 4 quadrants considered romantic. Im only going to focus on the two listed Matesprit - the closest to human romance, represented by a red heart and its all lovey and stuff. humans get this one easy and Kismesis - Think of like a Arch-Rivalry so intense it turns into a sexual relationship. like the pinnacle of enemies/lovers setup. basically tumblr's favorite set up of enemies so against each other it becomes a relationship. a Troll will mix genetic material with each partner and the two buckets (one for matesprit one for kismesis) are brought to a being known as a mother grub. See, Trolls are almost Insect like in how they reproduce. The robotic drones of the pailing season gather all the combined genetic material and its brought to this mother grub

which is a giant human/troll faced grub that combines ALL the genetic materials presented into and i quote "One incestuous Slurry". Now you may ask "well why combine them at all if they end up all mixed together??" well like it says, Dominant Genes rise forward and recessive genes end up falling to the wayside and less trolls will be created with these genes. ESPECIALLY strong matesprits and Kismesis Genes will be the strongest and most show up. So while all the genetic material is used each set of trolls is different combinations of those same genetic materials and all show various traits from the strength of the specific genes in them. Another thing is blood color (yes trolls all have different colored blood, its called the hemospectrum) Basically, specific blood colors have stronger genes for specific traits. An example i will use is nepeta and meulin, both of them have the olive colored blood. Olive blood trolls often share more feline traits than other trolls, some olive bloods show way more feline traits than others (which could possibly be a sign of the strength of the other genes mixed in them). Something of note is because of this one of the trolls talking with a human is confused and doesnt know what incest is and when explained it, still doesnt get it because of how troll anatomy and reproduction works. it ISNT a concept in their culture because all trolls are related if you look at it through a human lenses. Another part is that Nepeta and meulin are linked in the way they are both Each Others Ancester/descendant (which seems to be a troll that shows most similar genetic combinations to them originally and is almost a clone of them) you may ask why they have the same last name, that is because trolls exist with a symbol system. See, troll babies (which are just grabs with baby troll faces on them, yes horrifying i know) are given out to specific sentient animals known as Lusus. These lusus are who give them the Symbol and each lusus has a VAST collection of symbols they use to give a troll grub their last name. Each lusus is genetically designed to choose specific blood colors. So in the case of nepeta and meulin, they were raised by feline like lusus who ONLY choose olive bloods. (this genetic predisposition is likely due to how similar the lusus is to the troll trait wise. ex being nepeta and meulin being raised by feline lusus is best BECAUSE they have feline traits themselves) "how can they be both each others Ancestors AND descendants?" i hear you ask, its alternate universe/time travel stuff dont worry about it (ive read this shit like 3 times and i still dont fully get it). so they are Each others Ancestor/Descendant/Clone in a way after THIS LONG ASS POST TLDR - it both is and isnt incest because all trolls are genetically related and two olive bloods of the same symbol is the same as two trolls that were of different blood colors. but trolls do not have the concept of incest due to their biology and reproduction cycles and trying to understand it feels like im writing a fucking thesis paper.

Chat Noir vs Adrien Agreste

"Adrien, Adrien, Adrien." Chat Noir whined, "All the girls are fighting over him. No one's fighting over me. Yet, I'm so much more sophistiCATed, funnier, and definetly better dressed than him." in front of the school.

Marinette giggled, "I'll fight for you, Chat Noir!"

Many students were shocked by her decleration. They knew that she liked Adrien Agreste, but here she was saying that she preffered Chat Noir over him! Chat Noir smiled and walked over to her. They all witnessed as hero hugged her and the blush that crossed her cheeks. The students couldn't help but wonder: 'Maybe Marinette has a thing for blondes?'

"This is why you are my Princess." Chat Noir whispered, low enough for only Marinette to hear.

Chat Noir pulled away and smiled. He gracefully swept himself into a bow and kissed her hand. With a wink, he quickly left. Marinette just stood here waving 'bye' to the empty air.

"Hey." Alya spoke, snapping Mari out of her stupor, "What did he say to you? I saw his lips move."

Marinette smiled, "He told me 'thank you'. I-I guess he really needed to hear it."

"So?" Alya goaded, her confused friend, "New feelings?"

"Ch-Chat?" Mari stuttered out, "You-You think I like Chat Noir?"

"You chose him over Adrien." her best friend pointed out.

"I like him over Ladybug." Marinette declared.

"Why him?" the blogger asked.

Mari smiled, "He makes akumas not seem so scary."

Adrien couldn't wait to see Marinette the next day at school. He had been so happy that she had chosen Chat Noir over his model self.

"Hey, Marinette!" Adrien shouted, waving happily.

Marinette walked right passed him and towards the classroom.

'What?'

Adrien tried all day to talk to her. He'd wave to her. He would wait by her locker. He even saved her a seat at lunch, but she pretended like he wasn't there. Try as he might, he couldn't think of what he had done or said for her to ignore him. It was just like when they met and he hated it! Adrien quickly ran after her when the bell had rung to go home. He spotted her in the courtyard and stopped in front of her.

"Marinette!" Adrien shouted.

"Yes?" she jumped back, almost colliding with his chest.

"You're ignoring me!" he stated.

"FUR a good reason." she smiled.

'Wait! Did she just pun?'

Adrien quickly cleared his mind and pleaded, "What? What did I do? Why? Please, just tell me!"

"You didn't read the shirt?" Marinette questioned.

'Shirt?'

Adrien took a step back to get a look at her shirt. It was black and read: 'Team sophistiCATed' in green. He could feel his cheeks turning pink.

"Sorry, Adrien." Mari spoke, before walking around him, "It's nothing PURR-sonal."

Adrien quickly rushed to his car and smiled happily in his seat.

'Marinette puns! How did I not know this? It makes her ten times cuter!'

"Princess." Chat whispered, knocking on her skylight.

"Chat Noir." Marinette smiled, inviting him in, "I know it's not perfect, but-

"What's not PURRfect?" he questioned.

Mari rolled her eyes, "I made this shirt last night. I was sort of inspired by what you said."

Chat looked over the shirt a bit more. He could see it was a solid black shirt. The green lettering was a bit sparkly and the pun was in capital letters to get the point across.

"I love it." Chat smiled, "Is it alright if I take a picture with you?"

"Sure." Marinette answered.

"Say 'cupcake'." he smiled.

"Cupcake!" Marinette repeated.

Chat was quick to place a light kiss on her cheek, just as he took the picture. Marinette turned to him and blushed.

"Thank you." he spoke, "That shirt really made my day."

"You're welcome, Chat." she replied, "I might have ignored my friend, Adrien, today because of the shirt."

"Adrien Agreste; the model?" he asked.

Marinette nodded and blushed. Chat Noir began to laugh.

"Did you explain why you ignored him?" Chat questioned.

"Afterschool." she winced, "I thought he had seen my shirt, but he hadn't. He actually confronted me because I was ignoring him."

Chat just listened to her ramble.

"I feel really bad, but I wanted to make a point." she continued.

He pulled her into his arms and held her.

"I think he understands." he whispered, "You can always apologize tomorrow, if you feel like it. I know I'd be a little sad if you ignored me, Princess."

"Okay." Marinette answered, "I'll just warn him that if I wear the shirt, I'm not talking to him."

Chat Noir chuckled and squeezed another hug out of her.

"Now, let's see if I can get you some real cupcakes."

"Yes!" he cried out.

Marinette laughed and went downstairs for sweets. Chat Noir looked down at the picture he had taken. He had timed it perfectly. Her eyes were closed and she was smiling and his lips were barely pressed against her cheek. They looked happy.

'You really are special to me, Marinette. I'm glad someone sees beyond all the perfectness.'

"I found some cupcakes!" Marinette cried, announcing her arrival.

Chat Noir closed his baton and placed it in it's holder.

"Yay!" he cried out, happily.

"Adrien, I wanted to apologize about yesterday." Marinette began to ramble, "I wanted Chat Noir to know he was important, too. Not that I'm saying you're not important! You're my friend and I support you, but sometimes it seems like people only like Ladybug; not Chat Noir. Not that there's anything wrong with being a model!"

Adrien just stood there as Mari continued to compliment both sides of himself.

'She's so cute when she's trying to figure out what to say and not hurt anyone.'

Adrien quickly hugged her. He felt Marinette freeze in his arms.

"I understand, Marinette." Adrien reassured her, "It's okay."

He immediatley felt her relax into the hug. He smiled as he felt her small arms wrap around him.

"I was confused, but you explained it." he continued.

Adrien froze when he felt Marinette mumble something into his chest.

"What?" the model asked, pulling back a bit.

Marinette mumbled again.

"Sorry, Marinette. I still couldn't hear u." Adrien spoke.

Mari took a deep breath and shouted, "If I wear the shirt again, I'm ignoring you!"

Everyone froze.

'Was Marinette that big of a fan of Chat Noir?'

"I can live with that. Maybe we should start a Chat Noir fan club." Adrien laughed, "You think he would let me wear one of your shirts, if it's to promote him?"

Marinette giggled as Adrien led her to the class, talking about Chat Noir.

"I can't tell if Marinete has Chat Noir and Adrien fighting over her." declared Rose.

"I don't know, either." answered Alya.

Soon, there was a secret poll going around the school on who they thought Marinette should end up with. To no one's surprise, it was a tie. It looked like Marinette, Adrien, and Chat Noir were the deciding factor. Now, if only one of them would make a move!

You can send in pictures of your cat if you like and I will tell you what they appear to be. It is helpful to include some history on the acquisition of your cat. It is helpful to include multiple angles, varied lighting, close-up of parted fur and especially nose and paw pads. Remember that this is an educated guess only.

I will answer genetics oriented questions to the best of my ability, I have a working understanding of cat genetics but for more complicated or in-depth questions regarding genotype I recommend asking @amber-tortoiseshell. I’m most confident with my expertise on phenotype (appearance) and cat breeds.

Summary: Ladybug definitely isn't jealous of Chat Noir's girlfriend, please keep it in mind!

A/N: Not to be taken too seriously. I just wanted to know if Ladybug was at least a little bit jealous of Chat Noir's girlfriend and what she thought of their relationship.

"You have no idea how happy I am, my lady! She loves me so, so much, I can feel that! And let's be honest, it couldn’t be any other way, 'cause I'm purrfect."

Ladybug watched in silent awe her Chaton talk about how much his girlfriend loved him and couldn’t help smiling. Classic Chat Noir, who won’t stop bragging about how charming and amazing he is.

And gosh, he truly was amazing.

She was indescribably happy for him. The fact that they couldn't be a romantic couple didn't mean that her partner should always be alone.

He desperately needed someone in his life who could give him the kind of love he wanted and deserved the most.

And finally, he got it.

That was wonderful, right?

Because her Chaton of all people deserved to be loved and cherished. He deserves to be happily in love, even if it's not with her.

Right?

Trying to ignore a couple of tiny kittens in her chest who appeared out of nowhere and were now sharpening their claws on her heart, Ladybug summoned with her inner vision a picture of her precious partner coming down from the rooftop they were currently sitting on, detransforming (the vision became blurry from this point on because for the life of her she couldn't imagine what Chat Noir looked like when detransformed; only a vague silhouette of him without the cat ears on the top of his head—that's all her imagination was capable of) and melting into a tight embrace with a girl (she appeared as a silhouette as well, but more vague than her boyfriend).

Then they pulled away, and from their poses, she could guess that they were now staring lovingly at each other.

And then they closed a small gap between them and started kissing.

That was the most vivid part of the vision.

Because she knew exactly how it felt.

She couldn't forget how Chat Noir’s lips tasted.

That moonlit night—the happiest night of her life so far—for a few happy moments, she got to taste them.

As he talked, she couldn't keep her eyes off him, recalling the delicious feeling of the hot, velvety flesh of his peachy lips against hers.

So, another girl might be claiming these lips now.

Another girl was calling him by pet names (Ladybug wondered what those pet names were. No Chatons and Minous, that's for sure. Probably something based on his civilian name or common terms of endearment.)

All the better! To call him Chaton or Minou is my privilege.

Another girl got to tell him how much she loved him—something Ladybug didn't get to tell him.

Another girl got to tell him how beautiful his forest green eyes were.

Another girl got to wrap her arms around his shoulders.

Another girl got to inhale the scent of his fluffy, silky blond hair.

Another girl got to cradle his face before melting into a passionate kiss.

The next thing she knew, her tongue was acting totally on its own.

"Uhm, Chaton. You and your girlfriend... you have kissed already, haven't you?"

She didn't know why she was asking him this. After all, this was none of her business. She just couldn't help it. She needed to know.

Chat Noir let out an awkward chuckle.

"No, we haven't. Not yet,", he said, scratching the back of his neck. "It's complicated, you know. We are still figuring things out between us, so it might take time before we get to kissing."

Ladybug couldn't help but smirk.

So, her Chaton was still unkissed.

Well, sure, he's been kissed before, but up until this moment, she was the only one who had the privilege of having her lips met with his.

The scene that's been playing out in front of her inner vision faltered and started falling apart.

Ladybug marvelled at how quickly the blurry picture of the two young lovers shattered and disappeared without a trace.

Gone were the sharp-clawed kittens. Instead, there was now something similar to a big tropical flower blossoming within her chest, spreading waves of warmth throughout her body.

The next minute, Ladybug bit her bottom lip.

How could she?

She knew she shouldn't be feeling that way. She knew it was selfish. She simply had no right.

It was unfair to her partner, especially after he finally found someone he could pour all his love into and who reciprocated his feelings. She should be rooting for them instead.

She should conceal her true emotions at all costs.

She forced a smile and did her best to listen to Chat Noir.

It will be alright, she said to herself, clenching her fists desperately, unexpected tears pricking her eyes. I can do it. I'll get over it. I'll get over you.
