Ymir's introduction into Hexside. Story below.
"Here he is miss Eda, remember Ymir? He lived with you for a while before we adopted him." Amity Blight proclaimed proudly gesturing to her adopted demon son. "You're saying this as if I have dementia. Of course I remember little Yimi, I saw him last week!" Edalyn Clawthorne laughed, "So you're not homeschooling him after all?" "We talked about it and came to the conclusion that he would turn out better if he had a normal school experience... As normal as Hexside can offer that is" Luz Noceda, Ymir's other adopted mom chuckled, "Ymir, come on in and tell auntie Eda which track you wanted!" she urged her son, who was hiding his face behind his books. He peeked over the books at his moms and after a moment spoke in a shaky voice. "I... I changed... m-my mind. Can we go home please?" Eda narrowed her eyes at Luz "What did you do to the poor kid?" "He was fine when we were talking about it at home, I promise! MirMir what's wrong? Talk to us please!" Luz let go of Amity and approached their son very concerned, "What's going on honey?" Ymir looked away and whispered "They're all gonna hate me. They will know I helped Belos and they will hate my guts... and bully me...", and before Luz had a chance to speak Eda shouted "Not on my watch! No one will dare lay a finger on you w-" Ymir recoiled at the sudden loud noise and mouthed "sorry", to which Eda adjusted herself in her principal's chair and lowered her voice " No no I'm sorry, I forgot... He screamed at you a lot, didn't he little one?" to which Ymir nodded, still looking away. Eda spoke again, softer this time "My point is nobody will hate you for being Belos' butler or maid or whatever, because you were forced into it. It's not your fault. And even if somebody tries to bully you for it, you just gotta tell auntie Eda, and auntie Eda will crumple them into dust." Ymir looked up at her still unsure, "You promise auntie Eda?" "Like a piece of chalk!" Eda crushed a chalk piece into dust, spawning a white dust cloud that made her cough. Ymir giggled at that. "Alright... I wanted... Oracle.

O Titan, Where Art Thou
aka pain, confusion, dread, and ultimately, hope. I felt like this episode ended so fast but also it had a LOT going on huh, this'll be long
King's strange dream seems to take place in that weird in between. Interesting that Luz was able to make it in there, kinda, through the unfinished door
Tumblr media
Looks like the Collector is trapped there, in that weird orb thingy
remembering from Hollow Mind, to me who's trapped beneath these bones hmm how does the Titan's body connect to this place?
And he doesn't seem to have noticed the weird connection created between them and King back when he lit the Round Boi on fire (yes I'll keep calling it that, sue me). they were surprised to hear someone else there
He sounded so desperate... I won't be alone, don't leave, come back. huh, how long you been there you little chaos goblin?
(EDIT because I wonder if the Round Boi being a reflective surface is connected to Luz being able to see through mirrors/glass when she was in there)
god, poor King. he's supposed to grow to a gigantic size, and how long does a titan even live??? will he outlive everyone. depressing thoughts, too much, he is just a little kid why must we hurt him
Luz and King are siblings!!! she is concerned about him!!
Tumblr media
HELP THEY LOOK SO COOL AJSKDA LILITH
I want all of these posters on my wall asap
"I still haven't recovered from that tea party, ugh" amazing callback, Hooty you absolute menace
heartbreaking to see the Owl House all broken and messy. Well, messier than usual
Loving Lily's winter look work it girl
I support putting snorse glue in Belos' shampoo!
"someone had to bury our bones" LILITH NO
Tumblr media
Perfect merch opportunity
everyone's got a lot to process, especially King. wait til they remember the titan blood oh boy
oh Lily, once again trying to treat King like some deity. I think by the end she understood but old habits die hard
"I'm a god's aunt!" her dialogue is killing me this episode I swear
Luz wants to get him his bunny back Imma go cry
I liked the parallel of Eda lying to Luz, wanting to keep her safe but ultimately harming her and their relationship, and Raine doing the same to Eda. thank god we had honesty at the end
"I wanna go on a heist" "of course you do"
"I'd kill for you. please ask me to kill for you" _ Lilith at King, probably
"wouldn't you rather have a beach day?" "maybe if we had time for 20 more adventures, but we don't!" (oh man it's almost like our 20 episodes third season was unexpectedly shortened to just 3 specials so now we get no time for beach filler episodes, DISNEY)
everyone ominously marching to the Head *shudders*
obsessed with the shitty bootleg coven scout uniforms
STEVE MY BELOVED
Tumblr media
why is he lowkey cool as hell. chillest dude ever. the voice of reason. wisest man alive. questioning authority and his beliefs. shoulder pats for Steve
Steve and King bonding on a soul searching motorcycle adventure helping people all over the Isles was not what I expected but it is what I NEEDED
Hooty consistently being Lilith's common sense is the funniest thing ever
Tumblr media
I'm cackling
and he made a little origami demon with the pages later he is perfect
Tumblr media
bro he is just a little kid who wanted to know where he came from and have his Owl Family meet his Demon Family don't touch me
Helihooty? Hootycopter? whatever
I too, cry when I see old sapphics in love, Steve
"this. is for my kids" GOD
and Raine has such a kind heart too, and they're a quick thinker!
no YOU look like a pile of compost, Terra!
this whole part was heartbreaking. Eda just wants them to get away, to be safe, she doesn't care what happens to her and has no plan to stop the Day of Unity from happening, and Luz is so sad and feels betrayed, after all they've been through, after how much she's grown, she refuses to give up without a fight
shout out to the acting, the music, the boarding, the colors, the everything this whole episode
remembering season 1 King wanting to be seen as a huge powerful demon and now it terrifies him, he has grown a lot. poor little guy
Tumblr media
STEVE FACE REVEAL oh I love his design he is just a Guy with a gentle face and a mismatched horn. best boy
"hey girl, I've been there. I can recommend a good therapist" I love him your honor
also therapy coven confirmed? is it a branch of the healing coven? lmao
also also maybe give the therapist contact to uh. everyone else too. they need it
Tumblr media
help him
I support Darius insulting Alador any chance he gets because his abomatrons keep hurting my children
"please try not to bite anybody" reluctant dad energy
Raine meeting Luz made me extremely happy thanks for the serotonin Owl Crew
I ADORE this Raine-Darius friendship they are so funny. gay on gay violence (affectionate)
"I'm starting to think I wasn't very good at my job" I think you were probably better than Kiki if that's any consolation
"PLEASE tell me you have a cool rebel name!" my brain immediately: " gasp, the LGBTs"
PLEASE MORE DARIUS AND RAINE SCENES. BESTIES
EVERYTHING'S COME FULL CIRCLE BABEY YEAAAAAHH
so many callbacks this episode we really are in the endgame now
Hopefully next week the Hexside team can reunite with the CATS (meowmeow!!) so we can all work together in the season finale
Also I'd like for Darius to have an honest chat with Hunter about the previous guard...
THE PALISTROM WOOD I love Eda so much
so by next week we will get to see Luz's palisman at last. I suspected she'd carve it during this season
I think a bat is still my favorite option at the moment. Amity already has a cat so I don't think they'd repeat that, and a bat is not a bird but can fly, she is a Clawthorne but also comes from somewhere else, she is between worlds!
a snake and a bird are also popular guesses. whatever it is, can't wait to see! and learn their name of course
Wonderful episode, packed with feelings, character relationships and plot development. it really hit me hard that we don't have a lot of the Owl House left... let's enjoy what we can together

Looking out for Hunter
Eda pulls Camila and Darius to the side after Belos' defeat to figure out where Hunter should stay. Since they are his unofficial family now.
Warnings: referenced child abuse (that occurred before the story)
Let me know if I missed anything
Word count: 1454
Notes: Inspired by how I've seen different mentions of who is Hunter's family now.
There was a lot going on after the defeat of Belos. The collector had a lot to fix after his games. But Eda pulled Darius and Luz’s mom to the side for something they needed to discuss.
“Hey, I’m sure we’re all tired from everything that has happened with Belos and the collector. Before we all disperse though, There’s something important we need to figure out.”
Luz’s Mom and Darius glanced at each other and then at Eda in confusion. Which made sense considering they didn’t really know each other. Probably wondering what they could possibly have in common that Eda would need to talk with both of them.
“So, one thing that needs to be taken care of before the end of the day, is that a boy needs a place to stay. Seeing as he no longer has an official guardian now that his evil uncle has been defeated.”
Their eyes widen in realization.
“I don’t know where Hunter went after he fled my house, but I’m going to assume it wasn’t back to the castle. Given his reaction to learning the truth about Belos. Somehow I get the feeling it was not the best living arrangement. Now, from what I’ve heard, you two could both be potential guardians, along with myself. So, what were we thinking?”
They thought for a moment.
“Well,” Luz’s mom said, “He is always welcome at my home, of course.”
Darius huffed, “If I’m being honest, I had already assumed he would be staying with me.”
“Oh really?” Eda asked. “Why’s that?”
Darius shrugged. “I don’t know, maybe because I was the closest to a safe adult he had in the castle. I’m fairly certain I’ve known him longer.”
Eda hmmed.
“I did try to offer him a place to stay before when he first said he couldn’t go back to Belos. But he was still freaking out about what he learned in the emperor’s mind at that point. So I don’t really blame him for not understanding the offer at first, even if I was worried.”
“What he learned in the emperor’s mind?” Luz’s mom asked.
“I also know,” Eda continued, not really acknowledging the question,
“That Hunter stayed with Luz’s mom here when they were stuck in the human realm for a while. It’s also pretty easy to tell all those kids are fond of you.”
“You can call me Camila, and I’m glad to hear that. They’re good kids, even if I don’t always understand some of their eccentricities from this world. They remind me of Luz a lot in some ways.”
Eda nodded, not too surprised by that.
“So,” Eda continued, “Given we all may hold some sort of parental role for this kid, should we like share custody or something? And like, who is best for him to stay with? Not saying you’re not a good fit Darius, I just thought we should discuss this since we all want to look out for him.”
Darius hmmed.
“I hadn’t thought about it in an official sense if I’m being honest. More so just being there for him and making sure he has somewhere safe he can go to.”
Eda nodded. “That’s fair enough. The only reason I even brought it up is because I could tell it was a thought we all considered.”
Camila cleared her throat.
“It’s probably best to ask Hunter where he wants to go,” She said.
Eda paused and nodded.
“You’re right. He gets a say in where he goes. It’s the least he deserves after the way the poor kid grew up.”
She looked to the side, “Hey Hunter!”
Hunter froze, having been talking to some of his friends. Then he turned to face her.
“Can you come over here for a sec? We wanna talk about something with you.”
Hunter’s eyes widen.
“Don’t worry, it’s nothing bad,” Eda said, voice a bit gentler.
Hunter still looked concerned, but he cautiously made his way over to them. Camila and Darius both shoot him encouraging smiles to help reassure him.
“We were just wondering where you would want to stay,” Eda said, “Since your old residence is probably not an option anymore.” She then winced, realizing that may not have been the most sensitive way to put it.
“All three of us are willing to have you stay with us, so it’s up to you where you want to go.”
Hunter pursed his lips and looked between the three of them still seeming nervous.
“Hey,” Eda began, bending down to be more at his level.
“Whatever you chose, none of us are going to be mad at you.” She didn’t actually know that, but she knew they all cared about him, so hopefully it was true.
“Your wants about this are important,” Eda continued.
Hunter didn’t seem entirely sure about that. Which Eda had expected at this point, unfortunately.
“We will also still be there for you no matter what, in any way you need,” Camila added.
Hunter shuffled a bit and bent his head down.
“I uh,” He continued, glancing at each of them often even with his head bowed.
“I want to live in the world I grew up in.”
Camila nodded and also knelt down.
“Oh, that’s alright mijo. That is perfectly understandable. Just know you can always visit as much as you want. You are always welcome.”
Hunter nodded and smiled a little.
“Thank you,” he said a bit quietly.
“Of course. May I hug you?”
Hunter blinked and then nodded slowly.
Camila smiled and then opened her arms. She waited a moment to make sure he was ready before she came forward and wrapped her arms around him
Hunter gasped, seeming just as surprised as the first time he was hugged. He then moved his arms with a slow robotic clumsiness to hug her back. After a moment some tension melted and he leaned into her embrace.
Hunter was probably going to get a lot more hugs now. Good.
Hunter sniffed and wiped his face some when they separated.
“So, who do you want to stay with then?” Eda asked again. Hunter still seemed distraught about answering that, looking between Darius and Eda.
“I-I don’t know.” Hunter fidgeted some.
“I just, I grew up being told and constantly reminded of how Belos saved me and I owed pretty much everything to him. Like it was more of an obligation.”
Sometimes Eda forgot that her rage against that monster Belos could come back. Even when she had curb-stomped him into the ground.
“And now not only one but three of you are offering this and seems like you actually want me there to take care of. Not just to use as a future guard or servant. I don’t want to chance this offer going away at all. And I’m not saying you guys would lie about this or anything. I’m just not used to this care for me as myself. I’m so afraid I’m going to mess this up.”
Camilla cooed at that.
“We’re not going to take away our offers to take care of you,” Eda said.
“And even if we did, for housing, it wouldn’t be because anyone suddenly decided you weren’t worth caring for anymore.”
Darius gave her a look at that.
“Yeah, I could have said that better,” Eda admitted, “but I wanted to make sure he knew that.”
“It’s okay if you don’t know what you want,” Camila said, “I’m sure this can seem like a big decision.”
How was Camila so good at this? That’s what Eda was wondering.
“How about we start with where you’d want to go tonight?” Camila asked. Hunter nodded, relaxing slightly.
“I’m not sure if this is going to make sense, but part of me wants to have as close to normalcy as I can, but without the awful stuff. The Owl house seems cool, and I definitely want to come back sometime, but it’s also wild. Not that there’s anything wrong with that of course! I’m just uh, not used to it? So,” He turned to Darius,
“If you really are offering, I think I’d like to stay with you tonight. You’re the only one I really knew in the castle who eventually treated me better, and not like you had to obey me.”
Darius smiled at him.
“Of course, you can stay with me, Hunter,” He reached over and ruffled Hunter’s hair.
Hunter squawked and half-heartedly pushed at Darius’ hands to get off of his hair. They both ended up laughing though.
It wasn’t a normal unofficial family dynamic by any means. But as long as this great kid got shown the love they all knew he needed, it didn’t really matter.

Veteran Isekai Protagonist Luz
What if, before ending up in the Demon Realm, Luz had been summoned to become a Hero of one of those fantasy RPG isekai worlds?
But!
The people who summoned Luz were assholes who decided it would be easier to summon (aka kidnap) people from another world to fight their battles rather than do it themselves. That's why they summoned 13-year-old Luz; young kids/teens are easier to manipulate/control.
Luz managed to defeat the great evil, but all her companions/friends died in the process. Sure, the assholes who dragged her into this got their comeuppance and Luz got to keep all of her powers/weapons/skills, but it did not change the fact that she returned home traumatized.
BTW, time fuckery happened, so although Luz was in the other world for months, only a few minutes passed on Earth. Luz could have proven to her mother what happened was real as she still has access to her powers, but Luz kept quiet because she didn’t want to burden her. So poor Camila one day found her daughter acting so strange with a haunted look in her eyes, and had no idea what was wrong.
Rather than a book report gone wrong due to the snakes escaping, the incident that got Luz sent to camp was caused by her PTSD. Like in canon, Luz throws her Azura book into the trash, but it's because she can't stand to look at it as her first adventure broke a bit the illusion of fantasy adventures. She immediately regrets it because it was a gift from her dad, but as you know, Owlbert snatched it first. Luz immediately realizes that something is up with Owlbert, but she still follows him, partly out of curiosity.
This Luz would not be as awestruck by the Demon Realm as Canon Luz, though she would still find it interesting just cause it's a very different world from her own and the last one she was in. She is a little nervous about Demons at first but quickly realizes that they are different from the ones in the other world.
I imagine Luz has a panic attack when Eda pulls the "you really don't have a choice" stunt in the first episode. Eda feels concerned about why the human reacted that way, as well as guilty that she might have inadvertently triggered something. She tells Luz that she doesn’t need to do anything and can just go home - Eda may be a criminal and a scam artist, but she isn’t going to take advantage of a traumatized child. But Luz still agrees to help Eda, partly because she thinks she needs to do it, and because that is the kind of person.
This is also what motivates Luz to stay in the Demon Realm. Although Eda has the portal and can let Luz go home at anytime, Luz has the mentality that she was brought to the Demon Realm for a reason and needs to fulfill that reason before she can go home. She has a bit of a breakdown when she later realizes that she always had the choice to go home.
The Gods from the first isekai world weren't happy that Luz got summoned because it's bad taste to kidnap people who have nothing to do with the issues of their world. Unfortunately, they couldn't do much cause Gods must not directly interfere with mortal affairs, only provide indirect guidance. They did ensure that the people responsible for summoning Luz would recieve punishment.
Currently, they are chilling in the In-Between Realm alongside Papa Titan, watching Luz’s adventures while munching on popcorn.
Luz’s abilities would be surprising to the Boiling Isles’ inhabitants because Humans shouldn’t be able to use magic. Belos is especially intruded because how can this girl use magic without the use of Glyphs.
A bit about Luz’s abilities in this AU:
Luz is a Magic Knight; aside from spellcasting, she also knows her way around weapons and physical fighting. As the ‘Hero’ Luz can use all types of magic: Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Light, Dark, and Null (any non-elemental spell), but her prefered element is Light. Her main weapon is an enchanted sword that can channel magic and that only Luz can wield.
The Appraisal/Analyze skill that is common in fantasy isekais; it can give Luz information on people and things. Using it on Eda after meeting her allows Luz to find out about her curse earlier.
This Luz has experience fighting powerful monsters and opponents, so she isn't as defenseless as her canon self. I wouldn’t call her OP as there are some people stronger than her, like Belos (can’t have things be too easy), but she is without a doubt the strongest person in her age range.
Luz’s Light magic includes powerful Healing, so she is able to help Eda with her curse, Luz CAN’T get rid of it because the Owl Beast is it’s own living creature rather than a traditional curse, BUT she can heal all the damage Eda’s body has sustained. Like the rapid aging cause by the strain of transforming, and the damage and deterioration on her bile sac that causes Eda’s lost of magic. Meaning that, once Luz’s heals her, Eda finally looks her age (complete with wild red hair), and her magic power is back to her prime.
Eda will still come to her agreement with the Owl Beast and gain the Harpy Form in the future.
Luz still finds the Glyphs and learns to use them even though she already has magic because it’s smart to have variety.

Expanding on the carnival episode on the Circus Animals AU
I assume that Amity didn't know about the circus business at first, because otherwise I would think she'd be appalled by what Hunter and Luz went through there and not antagonize them over it. Maybe she only learns exactly why Hunter and Luz are living with Eda in the first place… at the carnival? Like, Lilith is involved with Tibbles in his scheme! Kind of, Tibbles has offered his carnival as a way to set up Eda for capture.
He doesn't tell her about the Ringmaster, just that he'll keep Eda's "kids" distracted while she and Amity haul Eda away. So The Owl House goes to the carnival, Amity is directed to lure the kids away from Eda so Lilith can confront her. She does that, taunting and egging them on into chasing her to a tent Tibbles pointed out to her earlier. Kids arrive at tent, Ringmaster is there and captures them. Luz and Hunter scream and cling to each other. Willow and Gus try to protect them, but get neutralized.
The Ringmaster thanks Amity for her help and tells her to go find Lilith, she's no longer needed here. Luz cries and pleads for Amity to help them, just don't leave them in the Ringmasters clutches! Amity is indecisive, Lilith told her that nobody would get hurt if everything went according to plan, but the terror on Luz and Hunter's faces is real and Willow and Gus looked totally panicked before they got knocked out… Just as the Ringmaster turns toward Luz with a snarl, Amity bolts.
Meanwhile, Lilith and Eda have been duking it out. When suddenly, Eda hears Hunter and Luz start screaming! Of course she immediately reacts, which finally gives Lilith the opening that she needs to take Eda down. Eda freaks naturally, demanding that "Lily" release her from her bonds right away, doesn't she hear the kids crying for her? They're in danger! Lilith dismisses her sister's concerns, "assuring" her that she's been told that the children will be fine.
Tibbles makes his appearance then, merrily telling Eda that Hunter and Luz at least will finally be with somebody who "knows their true value". Eda sees through the euphemism right away, which starts to kick the owl curse into gear. As Lilith struggles to control her sister, Amity appears. Lilith is relieved and orders Amity to help her. Amity pleads for Lilith's attention, something doesn't feel right here! Lilith brushes off what she's trying to say, briskly telling her that they'll talk later- After Eda is secure within the Conformatorium.
Amity spots Tibbles sneaking away… Looking between her mentor and the tent where Luz and Co are, Amity realizes that she has a decision to make. She can either go along with Lilith and arrest Eda (Assuring her of a place within the Emperor's Coven.) or she can free Eda and help her rescue the others from Tibbles/The Ringmaster's greedy grasp. (Which would put an end to her and Lilith's mentorship altogether.)
Of course she chooses to free Eda, murmuring a "Sorry" to Lilith she aims a blast of magic at Eda's restraints. Hitting jusssssst the right spot to make the whole thing fall apart. Eda is free! Lilith is astounded! Eda doesn't waste time and races towards the kids, with Amity following close behind. Lilith struggles to keep up naturally. When they burst into the tent, they come across quite the scene. Willow and Gus are awake and are have been tied up together, Tibbles and The Ringmaster are haggling over them!
Ringmaster was impressed by Gus's strength as an Illusionist at such a young age, while Willow's extensive use of plant magic also caught his attention. Since he's apparently in the business of exploiting unusual kids, he wants to add them to his circus! Tibbles would prefer to keep Gus and Willow for himself (He's got a bone to pick with them), but he's open to any offers. Meanwhile, Luz is huddled in Hunter's lap. Her face is slack with tears and she's nursing a scratch on one of her cheeks.
Poor Hunter is completely dissociating, just staring blankly ahead with his arms wrapped around Luz. All hell proceeds to break lose. Eda lunges towards her kids, Willow and Gus make a move to break free of their bonds, Tibbles barely manages to dodge out of the way of an angry Mama Owl, while The Ringmaster makes the foolhardy mistake of getting between said angry Mama Owl and her Owlets and Lilith loudly demands to know what in the name of The Titan is going on!
Really, it's just a mess.
Magic is flying everywhere, people are shouting, arguing and screaming... and Amity is just standing there in stunned silence. Drowning in guilt, this isn't something that she's proud of to have caused.
Eventually Eda gets away with the kids. Tibbles has disappeared. The Ringmaster is on the ground, maybe dead, maybe not. Lilith is standing in the center of the tent, bemoaning that yet another chance to capture her sister has been lost. She never should've trusted a damn carnie, but don't think she's forgotten what you did Amity Blight, she's extraordinary disappointed in her and won't be continuing her apprenticeship...
Amity barely hears any of this. She just takes one look at Lilith before turning around and walking away. Lilith is at a loss of course, before finally sighing and deciding to just go back to the Emperor's castle. Amity keeps on walking and she doesn't stop until she gets to The Owl House. Hooty eats her as previously promised, but he dutifully pellets her up after Eda hears the commotion and tiredly asks him to do so.
Eda... isn't happy to see her. Actually, she can barely believe her eyes! After all of that, she choosing to show her face around here? Amity just trudges to where Luz and the rest of the kids are laying together on the couch. She and Luz lock eyes. Amity opens her mouth...
And falls sobbing and sprouting apologies into Luz's arms. Luz, after regaining some semblance of self, cups Amity's face and tells her that she forgives her. Amity continues to cry as Luz brings her in for a hug. Which the other kids end up joining. Eda, exhausted and somehow barely surprised by this most recent turn of events, just walks into the kitchen to make more hot cocoa.
And that everyone, is how Amity Blight realized that she was in love with Luz Noceda in the Circus Animals AU.

Some of Raine's quirks that concerns Eda sometimes is their coffee consumption, their workaholic and one of the weirdest things is the fact they can eat a picnic basket full of Carolina Reapers-The hottest pepper in the world-and not react.
Then there's Eda's quirks including deflecting her trauma with morbid humor, dealing with self hatred (she's trying to get better with a therapist), and she carries a lot of emotional baggage mainly due to her previous relationships. Raine is horrified.
The two of them are trying to do better, Raine and the kids are planning the murder of those exes. Raine is planning to rip apart Warden Wrath, especially when they found out the jerk threatened King and Luz to blackmail her into dating him.
Darius and Eberwolf have started inviting Raine and Eda to come along for spa time. Eda enjoys the hot baths, Raine isn't a fan of massages mainly because they aren't comfortable with being touched by people they don't know, it also reminds them of Terra. Edas really the only one so far who their comfortable.
Eda gets phantom pains from her amputated arm sometimes, Raine applies healing balm and kisses it better.
When they get into silly moods they start fun fights, Eda usually won, although she would get them in a tight spot by cooing at them. Planting soft kisses on their ears and just teasing them mercilessly.
But that's not to say Raine doesn't win, they taser her hips and ribs. They use bard magic by whistling on her neck and shoulders so they just get rid of stress and are having fun spending time together ❤️
They are in love
AH! Sorry this took so long to answer! I’ve been hella busy with life stuff.
1. Raine loving coffee and spicy stuff is awesome and I love it. This poor enby needs to REST tho. Pls Raine you’re doing your wife a concern.
2. EDA YOU’RE DOIN YOUR PARTNER A CONCERN!
3. Warden Wrath had better watch out. If Raine and the kids get him... not even Hettie could fix him.
4. Absolutely yes. She very much appreciates it and gives Raine plenty of thank you kisses.
5. Eda is so soft with Raine when she’s in a silly mood. Cooing, baby talk, soft kisses and nuzzles. Raine is just GONE.
6. Raine loves using their magic on her, it’s so affective and they love hearing her adorable snorty laughter.
7. THEY ARE!!!

The Owl house Season Analysis Bottom 5 and Top 5 episodes of the Owl House
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I have wanted to do this post for a while. its what the title says,my opinion on the five worst episodes and the 5 best episodes... Now everybody knows what a good and a great episode are. I have heard some people try to argue that The Owl House does not have bad epsidoes, just less good episodes...
Yeah as much as I love what this show grew into that is pure denial and we are not doing that. Season 1a of The Owl house is mostly bad shooting for passing, with  2 outlier episodes that somehow managed to be good (you can probably guess which ones) I like 3 characters in in season 1a: King, Amity, Tiny Nose. Other characters, particularly Luz an Eda, suffer greatly from the writing focusing more on giving them popular (woke) labels and not really exploring them, which negatively effected the show because instead of making them better it felt like the show could only keep them on top by making all other characters lamer. 1b ranges from okay to kinda good. This was when Luz stopped basically playing pretend that she was Azura, and actually put effort into learning magic, becoming Luz the human whitchlet. Hexside was a great setting and putting Luz in a classroom setting, where she spent more time with kids her own age, gave the show the chance to flesh her character out more and give her differences and weird corks that were cute instead of destructive. Also I love, love, loved that they added learning differences to the character diversity. That is a difference that is largely overlooked in modern media. Eda changed from a mentor (which she failed at) to a parent figure, which was an improvement, but she still felt like a very hollow fusion of the Stan twins. She had what was cool about them, but they were also goofy looking, were often in over their heads and very concerned for themselves and their families. Eda is beautiful, the curse is largely ignored, and she is supposedly to powerful to concern herself with the plans and threat of her enemies.I also felt like it took her until half way through 2a to gain the kind of heart Stan and Ford where both shown to have like 2 episodes into their characters. In a character focused show like The Owl House it’s a poor character who only experiences highs, lows make characters compelling and have you root for them to get back up again.
Season 2 was when the show took what it had and ran to becoming a great show. The Show finally knew what it wanted to do with Luz and Eda, it also picked which on of Kings three roles (small adult roommate, furry pet, young child) it was going to stick to. These choices allowed it to go deeper into the stories of our three mains and up the stakes. Because the stakes were up it could finally make the villains/anti hero’s (we got anti-hero’s) competent, and the threat became something real. Also the show was finally able to put actual thought and character into the secondary and side characters (see Lilith and Hooty... I am sorry Lulu and Hootsifer’s character glow-ups).
Again I really do love this show, and like to compare its lows to its highs because, like with the characters, the lows make the high better. So here are the worst and the best episodes (in my opinion) of the owl house
Bottom 5 episodes number 5 Once Upon A Swap: Yeah you knew this one was going to be here. Its on everyone’s bottom 5 lists. Body swapping episodes are a cliche. It added nothing to the story in the long game. It could have been a decent stand alone episode if it had been funnier, but the majority of the jokes miss their marks. It’s a very skipable episode unless you are just completely board. All of that being said its only fault is being boring and skipable. I left it low on the list because their is nothing in it that really made upset or disappointed, and nothing in it that negatively effected future episodes.
Top 5 episodes number 5 The Intruder: Remember when I said that 1a had 2 outlier episodes that were actally good. Well you probably guessed that I meant “The Intruder’ and ‘lost in language”. As much as it hurts me to not have the first great Lumity episode we got on this list (to many great episodes in season 2) The Intruder is the better episode. Its the second best episode at handling horror elements. We see King and Luz bond for the first time and its sweet. Luz learns her first (and for season 1a her only) gliph, thus answering if or if not she can really do magic. Also we get the introduction of the curse, which is both one of the most fascinating concepts in the show, and a really tasteful metaphor for a chronic illness or disability. This was the owl houses first brilliant episode, and 37 episodes latter it is still one of the best.
Bottom 5 episodes number 4 convention day: Yes I am listing “Covention Day” as one of the worst. I know some people like to argue that its one of season 1′s best because its the first episode to talk about the covens as more than school tracks, explains the sigils and gives a reason for Eda being wanted a wanted criminal.. oh but not evil. Well even if this episode was plot important, I still strongly dislike it for two very big reasons: reason 1 Luz; reason 2 Eda. What I said up top about how at first the only thing likable about them is that they are label representation,  that in the beginning they are handled badly as characters, and the show forces them on top by dragging everyone else down. Yeah convention is all that at its worst. They both talk like they are the best, but in action they are nothing but a couple of lazy, annoying, fakers, who put no actual time, or effort where their mouths are. I did not want Luz to give up magic ( After “The intruder” I wanted her to actually start seriously studying it and for Eda to actual at like a mentor), but I loved Amity for telling Luz that she had no right to toot herself a “Luzara Greatest witch ever parade’ and calling her out, and I wanted Lilith (an implied accomplished study and teacher) to wipe Eda’s smug “I cheat my way above everybody else because I rule” grin off her face. The twist that Lilith was cheating too was lame, clearly written in to try and save Eda and Luz’s faces as mentor and student, and I hated it, along with being seriously annoyed at Eda. Luz, and Lilith. Amity started this episode by purposely stomping on King’s cupcake and she is somehow still the only one of these four with any actual integrity or honest morals.
This episode is low because the fight between Eda and Lilith is animated totally awesome and a very enjoyable watch... at first. My only complaint is again Eda. Lilith was totally about to win before Eda’s little fake out cheat. This particular fight is one Lilith should have been allowed to beat Eda. Luz won’t have to give up being a witch because Amity and Luz undid their bet spell and weren’t the ones fighting. Eda and Lilith only had a verbal bet going on, and since Eda is such a cheating con of course she wouldn’t honor her end of the deal and would slip out the back door. Lilith beating Eda at the Convention would be a great metaphor for the hold Belos has on the witches and magic. Giving us a small example as to why many witches are fooled into believing that covens and sigils make them stronger (Lilith would still only be stronger because Eda is curse), and why wild magic has become less popular. It also would start the Emperor’s coven out as being competent and seeming more like a real threat earlier on. But in season 1 Eda was rose-colored like crazy and had to come out way on top every time and had to be “better than everyone else” because the show writters I guess did not know another way to make her and wild magic seem cool.
Top 5 best episodes number 4 Labyrinth Runners: This was after Disney cut season 3 down to 3 specials and canceled the show premature. This is likely the last time we will ever have a episode at Hexisde. Our last chance to explore the school tracks, and possibly our last chance to give focus to many side characters the audience had come to love. The show pushed a lot of characters and concepts into the background believing they had time to do them later. Then they were told they couldn’t. So they made this banger of an episode that answered all the fans questions about background characters, showed them in their best light, and also seemed to apologize for upsets fans felt about some o these charcters not getting focus they deserved: Gus did not get the A-plot enough so he gets it here, and the writters want to make sure everybody knows what a great witch he is. Amity and Willow rebuilding thier friendship was thrown out in favor of focusing more on Lumity, so its the B plot of this episode, complete with Amity apologizing to Willow for underestimating her skills as a witch all these years. Fans really really wanted to know what happened to Hunter after he ran away in Hallow minds and were upset Luz did not seem concerned about him? Do not worry, Luz sent a text to her friends to keep an out for him and Gus finds him this episode.
They also included a unclear and idoitic director in the form of Head illusionist Adrain Graye, who was not only a continuation of the coven heads being what you wouldn’t expect; but also his bad instructions, unlikable attitude, and the way he got beaten up by children at the end wasn’t just some throw away comment roasting the Disney producers. Oh no we got a love letter to characters and fans, complete with a full on barbecue of the producers, and it was deliciously petty.
Bottom 5 episodes number 3 I was a teenage abomination: My problems with this episode are basically the same as my problems with “Covention Day” but this ones does not have a cool witches dual to try and save it. I do not mind Eda having Luz do chores, they are a fair payment for room and board. But It was annoying hearing ‘laboring for me is the best job there is, you don’t need no education” every second line. King talks like he is a better mentor to the slug monster, but he gives it no training, and it was obvoius it was going to try and eat him and Eda once it got bigger. Both he and Eda are useless teachers and I pittied Luz... Then I saw how she was acting. Amity is supposed to be the bully right? Let’s see what she did: worked and studied hard on her abomination, accidentally did a bad job of giving Willow a pep talk on taking her studies more seriously if she wants to prove herself as a witch, was proud of her grades, and called Willow and Luz out on committing academic fraud after Willow unfairly stole her top mark. Now let’s look at what Lux and Willow our protagonists and “hero’s” do: Luz with Willow’s help illegally trespasses on a school campus, Willow with Luz’s help commits Academic fraud on an important assignment and steals a top mark from a student who actually did the work. When they are called out by Amity they keep up lying to Willow’s professor and get Amity in trouble even though she is right. Lie to and try to con the Principal. Destroy part of the school. Remind me again why Amity is the bully girl when Luz and Willow are acting much worse?
Because Luz was almost dissected by Bump? Yeah Bump was in abominations growing up, and is a principal. He totally knew Luz was kid and was trying to scare her and Willow into confessing. Also I am sorry but Luz deserved to be scared like that when you remember that again she trespassed on school grounds without permission to help a student commits academic fraud. If Luz doesn’t want to risk being hurt them she shouldn’t rush to situations a toddler would know are dangerous and wrong. Willow being that strong at plants without any training, getting rewarded at the end by being transferred to the plant track, and her dads who previously insisted she take abomination instead and banned her from plant magic accepting this for some unknown reason, was all a terrible choice then unless we were never going to see Willow. again. That is her whole story and arc. It should have taken at least 1 season for her to get transfered, complete with exploring her pasions and learning type, why her parents wanted her in abomination, and why it was a bad fit for her; then another season for her to fully master plant magic once transfered. Instead it's all done in wrapped up in her first episode. I blame this episode for nearly all Future Willow episodes being more about Lumity or Hunter. I blame it for why she was sidelined so hard in season 2, once Luz and Amity did not need her to create situations for them to come across each other. There was just little to virtual nothing that could be done with Willow after this episode wrapped up her whole arc with school and latent powers. This episode had little basically nothing good, our protagonists were worse than out antagonists, and it ended an important characters journey before it had time to be explored; so I have to put it on this list.
Top 5 Best Episodes List number 3: Knock Knock Knocking on Hooty’s Door. Now here is another episode everybody knew would be on the list. If Labyrinth Runners” was the best episode for developing the seondary charecters "Konock Knock Knocking On Hooty's Door" was the best Episode for developing core characters inside the owl house. Hooty now wants to be a life coach after Lilith implied he was a protector in a letter. Side note it is nice to see that Lilith did follow through on her promise to be pen-pals with Hooty after leaving with her mom. It is also nicer to see that they talk about Hooty’s feelings and troubles to. Lilith’s got more going on of course since she is starting over, but healthy friendships are a give and take relationship, and Hooty’s troubles are important too. The animation is beautiful, it addressed very real feelings and fears with all four characters, and it ended with them all getting great development. Hooty’s confidence in his own importance is restored, King has powers, Eda makes peace with the owl beast, who was actually once a demon that was captured in paper by the collector, who threw it away to be discovered by the curse sales man (I had been wondering all season how Lilith was able to find and afford such a strong and complicated curse)... And Lumity are officially girlfriends.
Bottom 5 episodes list episode 2 The First Day: Oh look an episode that took place after 1a? Yes the show got better in season 1b, but it still was not consistently good yet and there were a few episodes that were set backs. This episode was the worst of the set backs, had me scared we going straight back to early 1a episode quality. Luz went to hexise because after “Lost in Language” she got serious about wanting to learn magic, and Eda was not able to tech it to her. At this stage Luz knows only two gliphs and is really novice at controlling both of them, her entrance exam reminds us that. With how psyched she to go to the school and finally start learning you would expect this episode to be about Luz settling into to school, and starting to put more work on finding alternte ways to do magic. Bump even helps her out by sticking her in the potions track. Its an all purpose magic track, she does not need a bile sack because the magic will be in the ingredient, and it was the same track Eda was in so Luz can continue her Legacy... Luz decides  almost right away potions (Potions!) is the most boring of the track, and sneaks out of her first class to go play with the oracle tracks equipment. She is then immediately caught and sentenced to the detention track for the entire semester (harsh! This is her first offense, no warnings Bump?) But then we learn that the detention track is all education loving rebels, who use secret tunnels to learn all the different types of magic. Wow this track is even more perfect for Luz than potions!.. of course she does not stay. By then end of the episode this untrained, novice, witch, who has only been on the isles a couple months at most, and at the school less than a day manage somehow convinces the principal to change the system and permanently allow multi-tracking at Hexisde and protect any teacher and student in that program. A feet that seasoned witches with lots of talent, years of learning magic, and who begged for the chance to do more could not because... they are not main heroines.
That was only my second problem. My first was that the dentition track kids are all written to be idiots and jerks. It was blatantly obvious that the bad stuff Luz told her friends about the detention track was from before she learned about their club. She has been with them since learning it, and has not spoken to anyone else. Plus they know sitting at a desk doing nothing is boring, that is why they sneak into the tunnels. It would be one thing if Gus or Willow were known as blabs and they were afraid of their secret getting out and the tunnels being boarded up, but no. Luz did nothing wrong and they are bullying her for stupid and forced reasons to create drama. I do not like seeing other characters be jerks to Luz in a situation where she did absolutely nothing to them first. I heard Dana originally saw the detention trio as unimportant and was never going to bring them back, but did later because of fan demand... Well of course fans would like these characters and see them as important. They are the first young characters to be shown as negatively impacted by Belos’s one type of magic per witch laws, and the first to mix their magic. They were always going to be important and should have always been written with care.
On the bright side this was the first episode to convince me that Lumity might become a real couple instead of just friends who are supossedly coded as being more
Top 5 best Episodes number 2 Enchanting Grom Fight: Secondary characters had Labyrinth Runners, Core characters had Knock Knock Knocking On Hooty’s door. This is the episode the cliche slice of life episode that did the best job of developing them all together. The episode starts with Luz talking to her mom on the phone and feeling guilt at having to lie to her. SO Luz and Camilia must normally have a pretty hones relationship. We also learnt hat they speak Spanish to each other (representation!). When the school starts talking about Grom we learn Skara had a boyfriend back then and hey were adorably excited to go to grom together. Gus and King are hanging out after “really small problems” and are doing the announcement together. Eda got invited to chaperon. Luz owns an otter suit. when we get to the dance we see that their are gay couples dancing together as well as straight ones, mattholomule trying to boost his status by dancing with an older girl who clearly only agreed to the dance out of pity. Willow confidently handing out homemade corsages to classmates. King gets stage fright (just like Raine) and Gus helps him. Cat and Pufferfish head apparently know each other and went to Grom together. In the beginning of the show it seemed like the mouthhead girl was going to go with the beast-keeping jerk, but I guess they split because she spends the night hanging out with Amelia instead. You would expect Boshca to go with the quarterback but instead she goes stage and spends the night hanging out with other singles...interesting. Poor Ed and Em got stood up (I hope they TPed their dates houses)...
I liked Grom’s take on peoples fears. It starts out with kinda joke fears, things that are a bit creepy or a little embarrassing, then moves on to bigger fears. Nobody’s worst fear is actually as bad as it seems, but all of them are relatable to a degree and nobody is shamed for having them. Then of course that heartfelt moment where Lumity faced Grom together, Luz offering to go to the dance with Amity since she was to scared to ask her crush, who we get actually get confirmation was Luz. Thier dance together was absolutely stunning. Amity has gotten so strong with abominations. Luz is only on single gliphs but has perfected those enough to become  a formidable fighter. And then they combine their powers and their attack gets stronger, metaphorically these two are powerful and capable on their own but better together. Their last go turns Grom into a beautiful pink tree right int the forest: Metaphor the right support can help you find the beauty in a bad situation. This was wonderful.
Bottom 5 epsidoes number 1 Escape of the Palisman: My least favorite episode. I waited all season for the owl beast to reappear and to get more on the curse, and now that it happens, nothing. King takes it to the park to win an argument with a baby about a slide. That’s it? Rip off! Plus with Luz and her friends going to a stadium to watch a sports game from bleachers sounded boring to began with but it would have been better than watching Luz steel from Eda, injure Owlbert in a way that looked bad, get off scoot free (note she never apologized to Owlbert or Eda), and Learn nothing. The trials that were supposed to be exciting were not because the show could not even be bothered to at least pretend they were anything more than the BAT Queen’s chores, again did nothing to strengthen Luz and Owlbert’s bond, and again Luz never had to apologizes or actually make what she did better. The worst part of this was that this was set right before the first hiatus and it left us with with virtually no suspense, questions, or anything to look forward to when the hiatus ended. We saw a blurry shadow of who cursed Eda, but she barely cares and is unlikely to investigate (she never did. Lilith told her). The Bat Queen’s backstory was the highlight of the episode but I knew right when she said that she did not remember her giant we were unlikely to get anymore on it for a very long time (it’s looking like never). At the end o this episode I felt nothing but annoyance and I honestly did not care if the show never came back after hiatus, and that’s a problem
Top 5 Episodes number 1 Hollow Minds: It had to be Hallow Minds. This was the climax of season 2, the one where every mystery and secret that had been built up all came out. Were both The Emperor and he writers stopped playing games and got serious with us. I loved the first part of the Emperors mind (his lies) was beautiful and royal looking, but the deeper parts (where the truth lay) was so dark and sinister. We saw Team Red working together and it was a welcomed laugh. Hunter and Luz are forced to work together again and their enjoyable reluctant sibling relationship from Hunting palismans. Worried mama Eda is back and is willing to protect her children magic or not. How Team Red get the potion to Eda. OF course we all had long sense known the reveals by then. We knew that Hunter was a grim walker clone of Belos dead brother., and not the first golden guard. We knew that Belos was Phillip, and that Phillip was a witch hunter from the human world. We knew that Luz had helped him with Gliphs in the past (when she thought he was some great and heroic adventure/inventer). None of that prior knowledge made it any less suspenseful to watch Luz and Hunter go deeper into the Belos’s mind, and none of that made their shattered reactions to Them learning these secrets any less painful. The one thing I did not expect, but maybe I should have, was that scared kid Belos was the real inner Belos and he wasn’t shaking because he was scared. When we heard him break, unable to contain his laughter anymore and hem morph into himself, when the zombie was revealed to be his palisman victims trying to warn Luz and Hunter... as chilling as Scooby Doo Zombie Island. The moment he tells Hunter "good bye” and tries to get rid of him as Luz cries. When he uses Luz’s fake name and clips of her calling him his real name to torture Luz. Hunter saying Luz’s real name instead of “Human” as he once again chooses to save her over giving Belos what he wants, knowing this time Belos see and he will not be safe... This is a fabulous climax to the season, and in my opinion the best and most engaging episode of The Owl House

Owlets
Eda and Luz were the last ones in the kitchen, Eda washing the dishes and Luz at the table making a few adjustments to her repulsor/glyph glove blueprint. Lilith had gone to sleep on the couch and Spot was helping King get ready for bed (aka carrying the smaller demon around). Luz enjoyed the moment of relative silence, a rare treat these days. The sound of running water acting as a kind of white noise.  It was nice until her A.I. chimed in.
“Adding a generator as a backup power source should allow for it to work on earth.” T.I.T.A.N. suggested.
“How would you even fit them both in it?” I.S.A.A.C. questioned. “She still needs to keep it hidden.”
“Instead of a watch it could be a bracelet with the reactor and generator disguised as charms?” They suggested.
“You don't sound too confident there.”
“Must you be such a-” Luz muted the earbud before they could finish. T.I.T.A.N. was onto something but she’d need to figure out a way to shrink the Arc Reactor even further. The generator would be easy enough, she had been working on it for years now after all.
“Hey, kid?” Eda turned the faucet off. Luz hummed as she erased a formula. “Can we talk about what happened today?”
“What’s there to talk about?” She asked genuinely.
“Why you were on that boat.”
No, that was too high. She would need to adjust that.
“I was working a job. Simple as that.”
Eda sighed and gently pulled her notebook away from her. She tried to reach for it but Eda was quick to move it out of her reach.
“Luz, you shouldn't worry about money.”
“No offense, Eda, but it was just a job.” She looked back down at the table, tracing glyphs onto the surface. “Don't look so deep into it.”
‘Liar.’ Her mind whispered. She ignored it.
“This isn't just about the Selkidomus. Did you keep any of the snails from your grand opening?”
“Of course.” Not. She gave it all to Eda. It wasn't like she had employees to pay. She had no reason to keep them if they could help. “Can I have my notebook back?”
“Look me in the eyes.” Luz did and saw the concern in her mentor’s eyes. “Did you keep any?”
It was so much easier to lie when she wasn't looking. Her silence seemed to say enough as Eda brought her into a hug.
“Oh, kid. You're too young to be worried about money.”
A hand softly combed through Luz’s hair.
“But I want to help…”
“You can help around the house if it really matters. Titan knows King and I hate washing Hooty.” The older witch laughed.
“That’s not what I mean and you know it.”
“I know. How ‘bout this, I’ll help out with your stand from time to time, you pay me for my help and keep the rest.”
Luz yawned as she nodded, that could work. It was late and she was growing more tired the longer she stayed there. Eda hummed that same melody from that night of the petrification ceremony. She would just close her eyes for a second and then back to work. She had a long day after all.
---
Eda listened as Luz’s breath deepened and her strange heartbeat steadied. The poor human must have been exhausted. The Owl Lady adjusted her grip on the kid, one supporting her back and the other under her legs, and stood, softly ending Raine's Rhapsody. That seemed to knock the kid out pretty well. “Bed time, kiddo.”
Luz let out a groan and tried to move closer to Eda. Some part of her cooed and whispered ‘Owlet’ to her. It sounded both strange and familiar to her.
‘She already has a family.’ Eda reminded herself as she carried Luz up to her room.
The door was left slightly ajar, waiting for Luz to return. She nudged the door open with her foot and found Spot curled around King, who was curled around his stuffed bunny. Eda moved the sleeping bag closer to the demons and set Luz down. Once the human was tucked in, before she could think it over, she kissed Luz and King on the forehead and scratched at the base of Spot’s neck.
‘Owlets.’ The voice cooed again. Eda softly closed the door with a smile.
‘Maybe for now.’

3, 5, 9, 13, 17? For the asks game
3. Favorite episode? Why? Ramble as much as you'd like.
OOH There's so many!!! If I had to pick just one, I'd say Hollow Mind. It's a lot of people favorite I think but it's because it was such a good episode! It's so intense and we find out a lot of information during it. We find out that Belos is actually Philip (and human). We find out his backstory, albeit through ruined/burned pictures of him and Caleb. We find out that Hunter is a grimwalker and that Belos has made dozens of them and killed them all. We find out about the Draining Spell and how Belos is planning to commit literal genocide. It's the perfect culmination of everything we've been learning in the first 2 seasons up until that point and it answered all those questions in such an interesting (and horrifying!) way by having them go into Belos' actual head.
It was definitely the darkest episode in my opinion. Watching the draining spell almost kill all those witches, Luz absolutely breaking down when she finds out she'd helped Belos find the Collector, Belos literally trying to kill Luz and Hunter (and Hunter actually seemingly dying for a moment) only to just barely get away, Hunter breaking down and running off into the woods...It's just not easy to watch two poor kids get traumatized like that. A lot of the horror aspects definitely make it a memorable episode at least.
Also, the reveal where kid Belos transforms into actual Belos was the freakiest and coolest thing I've ever seen. I legit yelled at my screen when I saw it for the first time.
(And also, that extremely minuscule crumb of Dadrius content we got with Darius being concerned about Hunter being in the mindscape is impossible to not mention, given how much of a sucker for Dadrius I am.)
5 -Already answered!
9. If the show had a full three seasons, whats something you genuinely think would happen? Not a wishful thinking, what do you think is something that would've happened?
I think we would've actually had the Bat Queen come back into play. Eda still had her whistle and I genuinely thought it would be used in the finale but then nothing happened. We also never really found out the Bat Queen's past, despite it being hinted that we would when Luz told her she would help. We can probably assume she was a Titan's palisman but then there's the whole logistics of "why would a Titan even need a palisman" or why she's the only one of her size left. The whole Bat Queen situation is a dead storyline that I feel would have been concluded if they actually had time for it.
13. Which season do you like best?
Season 2. Season 1 was fun and light for the most part but during the S1 finale, everything took a slightly different turn and the show started to get darker and the actual overarching conflict started to actually present itself more after that. I mean, we barely even saw Belos in S1 until the finale. I just love that point where seemingly lighthearted shows suddenly change tone and explore darker themes. It's so intriguing to me.
17. Character you want to like, but don't? Why?
I really had to think about this one. Kikimora. Not in the sense of liking her as a person but just liking her as an antagonist. Her whole drama with Hunter just seemed like a petty, childish feud for the most part and I didn't really understand the point of it for the longest time. I like the comedic potential it provides for fan content but in the actual show itself, I didn't care for it.
I did like the fact that the show kept almost redeeming her, only to take it back and have her go back to being evil again. It is nice to have a character like her who doesn't really care which "side" she's on, as long as she can gain from it. It just so happens that she thinks she can only gain from being on Belos' side.
She seemed pretty one dimensional for the most part until the very end where she helps King find The Collector and we find out that she knew about the grimwalkers the entire time. I really wish the show explored more about that aspect of her and what else she'd been aware of and the extent of it. I think if we learned more about that, she might have been a more interesting character for me but we just didn't get the chance and so it's hard for me to care about her.
Thanks for asking!

Some headcanons for Hunter's dynamic with the rest of the Bad Girl Coven when he joins because OF COURSE he will:
(he's going to join the found family. he's going to. he will. he is going to be loved and cherished and valued and shown real affection and *starts crying*) - He has a very brother-and-sister vibe with Luz. They love each other, he's eternally grateful to her, they love studying wild magic together, and he loves learning about glyphs, but they ALWAYS do the most to bug the other. Luz teases Hunter and playfully pokes him to get a reaction and she's always successful, but THEN he sees how Luz is around Amity and. hehe. Suddenly he has fodder for playful teasing revenge.
- Also hugs. He needs hugs and Luz loves giving hugs and yes. them. hugging. (please let him be hugged.) - He and Amity. just. Understand each other. They will sit in the living room of the Owl House in silence and just Vibe for hours, Amity reading Azura and Hunter reading texts on wild magic, and occasionally they will make Understanding Eye Contact. On the flip side, they also love to gush about their respective interests to the other, and they always listen to what the other has to say.
- Amity also helps Hunter do his research in the library and they make up some bs about Important Emperor's Coven Business in order to access all those Restricted Books on Things The Emperor Doesn't Want You To Know, and it becomes an inside joke with them, where they act out more and more outlandish reasons in order to get to the books to each other, while everyone else looks on with varying degrees of amusement, confusion, and concern.
- They also talk about family issues. It's cathartic. Amity realises that Hunter never got Supportive Older Siblings and decides (maybe? ill-advisedly) to introduce him to Emira and Edric. This goes about as well as you would expect. But at the end of that meet up, Hunter just. can't stop smiling. Amity thinks that maybe this wasn't such a bad decision after all. - Gus can't stop draping himself all over Hunter. With finger guns, side hugs, etc, and Gus' endless stream-of-consciousness talking style, Gus just. drags Hunter everywhere because "Oh wow! It's another guy in the Bad Girl Coven! We're bros now. We are officially bros."
- Gus tries to act all cool around Hunter in order to impress him, which fools nobody, but Hunter is just kinda overwhelmed by Gus' enthusiasm and also he's once again amazed he has Yet Another Friend that he just. goes along with it. - He and Willow are besties. yes. At first, he's kinda terrified of her because of her power and Pure Feral Energy, but quickly realises she's really warm the rest of the time.
- Willow is very affectionate around Hunter and Hunter is just. internally sobbing like "oh my god you're so sweet what did I do to deserve this"
- Hunter always listens to Willow gush about her plants and he takes Very Detailed Notes because this stuff is helpful to his research (and also he thinks Willow is Very Cool) - Eda is soo incredibly nice to him and supportive of his rebellion and at first he's kinda afraid of her because he has Trauma but quickly realises Eda is absolutely awesome
- She encourages him to embrace his inner desire to Disobey The Emperor and do Illegal Things and after a while she is 100% successful
- She gives him the love and affection he has so desperately been lacking and the first time she praises him he bursts into tears. This is followed by a hug from Eda. It's very sweet.
- Hunter is worried Eda will kick him out when she finds out who he is but she's like. "Kid. You're fine. I literally housed and cared for my estranged sister who cursed me as children. What matters is that you've rebelled, and you deserve to be cared for because Belos is an abusive asshole."
- Cue Hunter crying once again
- Yeah Eda just adopts Hunter as one of her children. Hunter is shocked but incredibly grateful and there are a lot of tears.
- When he meets Lilith again, at first Lilith is like. "Ugh. It's the young whippersnapper. Little brat." but very quickly she realizes "Oh wow. This is a literal child. This is a literal actual child who is heavily traumatized. I am so sorry, I am so glad you're safe, come on let's do some illegal research together I have soooo much info on what you're looking for, you won't even begin to believe it" Anyways please let this poor child be loved he needs it

The Importance of ‘Girlfriend’ in Eclipse Lake
Tumblr media
I know people joke about how Amity keeps dropping the word “Girlfriend”, but she only ever really says it three times… Then there’s one more time by Luz herself, of course!
And I think the reason why people act like the characters said ‘girlfriend’ so many times is because… Well on the one hand, there’s that minority of homophobic people, who think that any reference to queer people is one too many. But I think that mostly, it comes from the vast majority of supportive fans, who are just so unused to hearing the word ‘girlfriend’ used by a female character, that even just one mention of it is a lot- Much less four!
Tumblr media
There’s also the fact that in-universe, Amity calls deliberate attention to the word ‘girlfriend’, placing a lot of emphasis on the title, and basically flaunting it around as an achievement- The word clearly means a lot to her, so it means a lot to the audience. Add in how the other characters react to Amity, indicating that she’s mentioned this a lot… And again, the audience also begins to pay attention and view Amity’s mention of ‘girlfriend’ as a very frequent thing.
Tumblr media
In fact, Amity being Luz’s ‘girlfriend’ is something that’s a big deal to her arc in Eclipse Lake- It’s what her development revolves around, as Amity figures out what being Luz’s girlfriend actually entails for her, and what kinds of expectations she initially anticipates to come attached. So with how Amity treats the term, basically repeating it to herself as a reassuring mantra, and clearly treating it as such… And even though she doesn’t say it that many times on-screen, the audience gets the distinct sense that Amity has said ‘girlfriend’ a bunch regardless.
Tumblr media
And this IS treated as a big deal by the characters, so naturally, so too do the viewers treat it as something to take particular notice of, each time- So when you add that onto the surprise at hearing the world ‘girlfriend’ dropped at all, in any queer context… And yeah, after subsisting on crumbs, a moderately-sized meal feels like an entire buffet to queer viewers! The word ‘girlfriend’ is not treated naturally within the show, because for Amity, she’s still getting used to it- It’s a driving motive and source of internal conflict for her…
Tumblr media
And from a representative standpoint, it’s kind of ingenious how the writers have so tightly interwoven this ‘forbidden word’ into Amity’s arc and the narrative, as a core and foundational element- You can’t really remove the word without removing so much of the context and basis for Amity’s struggle and storyline here… Especially with that pivotal scene that calls specific attention to how important it is to even say that word, in-universe; With Hunter questioning Amity if Luz has actually, verbally called her an awesome “girlfriend”, and how that contributes to her insecurities and doubt.
Tumblr media
So naturally, Amity and the audience immediately think back and pay attention to every time the word ‘girlfriend’ has been dropped, so when Luz DOES bring it up, naturally, with no idea of how Amity felt? It just feels that much more of a huge moment, it’s a pivotal term that’s distinctly interwoven into Amity’s storyline this episode, so you can’t really take it out without confusing the flow of the episode as a whole. Because again, the specific language that Luz uses, the way loved ones communicate with one another- That IS a huge part of this episode!
Tumblr media
With how Amity is initially confused by the unique ways that Luz communicates, and defaults towards interpreting them in the worst way… How Belos ‘communicates’ with Hunter but not really, not truly responding to Hunter’s concerns, and using loaded words such as ‘replacement’ that clearly traumatize and unsettle the poor kid. Communication, and by extension the specific language and terms used for that, is a HUGE part of Eclipse Lake’s narrative and emotional storyline- So yes, the audience is also encouraged to treat specific words as a big deal, the same way characters do.
And like Amity, we feel so starved and in anticipation of that kind of love language, of the word ‘girlfriend’, that each mention has all the more weight for it. There’s Luz having her own brief conflict in trying to communicate with her friends, to warn them about the Fool’s Blood; And then there’s Hunter not quite understanding Rascal’s speech as a palisman…
Tumblr media
But by the end of the episode, he’s able to understand Rascal’s speech, able to properly communicate with someone who DOES love him, and tells Hunter their name! Someone who DOES try to reach out to him by initiating conversation- With Rascal encouraging Hunter to talk with others by dragging him into Eda, King, and Amity’s path… Not to mention Amity’s own verbal words of reassurance and guidance, which Hunter actually does take to heart, by applying them towards his newfound appreciation for Rascal’s support at the end.
Tumblr media
THAT fits with Eclipse Lake’s themes of communication and love languages, with Hunter able to understand and transparently talk to someone who DOES love and care for him, whereas with Belos, Belos never quite responds to Hunter, it’s usually Hunter who has to listen to HIS ramblings and orders… And even then, his uncle obviously isn’t straightforward, speaking in veiled language, and possibly employing reverse psychology, mind games, and gaslighting to get into his nephew’s head and mess with him.
Tumblr media
TL;DR The word ‘girlfriend’ means a lot to the viewer both on a meta and queer representation level; But also from a narrative standpoint, from the in-universe perspective of Amity, being a HUGE factor of the episode’s themes of communication- And how it IS vital to openly communicate and reaffirm how you feel with words, too!

Edge of the World
I knew it was gonna be harsh for King this episode but ouch...
first of all shoutout to Hooty he really did protect these kids!
I do feel the need to mention I'm surprised Hunter wasn't mentioned or shown once (1)? like Eda I know he's not your kid but he did run alone into the woods, panicking, is anyone gonna go check up on him
King wants his demon family to meet his owl family and for them to play catch together :(
Tumblr media
hugs <3
anyways poor Luz is having a hard time, understandably, so she must be thankful about the letter so that she feels like there's something she can do
LULU! I love her current design
I liked the little heart to heart with Eda, she is stressed about how serious this all is so it's nice there's anther adult there to talk to
I saw the promo images by the crew with the baseball and glove and I KNEW it was gonna be heartbreaking. I suspected King's dad was dead and I think that is very much the case now huh
getting an army def would've been helpful, but I guess that's out of the question now
thought if you think about it they're kinda losers too, Titan slayers trappers who have never even seen a live Titan
though considering they worship the Collector, and they got King to light up the uh, Round Boi, I am very much expecting to see these guys again
they have this teleporting magic thing, even if it was destroyed it's still interesting. so they're far, but they can travel
Tumblr media
I always loved the concept of islands made of a giant carcass, it's fascinating and horrible. seems they can warp from the hand to the finger right? how'd they get the finger so far away
I thought we'd get an Eda+Lily B plot but we really didn't get much from them after leaving, so the cliffhanger makes me think they did something. the house may be empty, or they may have called someone, but who?
I knew there was something creepy or something bad was coming but the moment I realized they were WEARING the SKULLS my jaw dropped, that's dark
"he passed down that skull of yours" they assumed he was in disguise too
it's so sad because he thought he was learning about his family, about his culture, his people! but they were just going to hurt him
how long does a Titan live? how fast do they grow?? if King's dad was still around a few years ago before he hatched then I'm sure he's not the Titan we're living on but is he 100% dead??
is King really the last one...
EDIT because oh my god Titan Blood NO ONE LET BELOS KNOW
this kid's heart has been broken enough times!!! give him a break!!!
Luz and Hooty are actually a comedic duo bless
Tumblr media
A couple things:
This dude has wings! I remember back in Eda's requiem I wondered if this meant King would get wings eventually but seeing as other people in the group don't have wings I think it's just him?
and it seems to me he was getting attached to King before realizing who he was, which is kinda sad
Tumblr media
"can we play catch?"
look at how tiny he is :'(
"release the grand Huntsman from his prison" it's interesting they have the Round Boi and it's shattered. does Belos know where it is?
I thought the Collector would be freed in the Day of Unity but it seems these guys want to free them too hmmm Bill knew of Belos but doesn't seem to care or be for or against him, so they're not working together...
King lit the flame and his eyes glowed, he was somehow connected to the Collector but the ritual was thankfully left unfinished. but the fact that it started is VERY concerning
"tell Lulu how brave I was" I WILL HUN
Tumblr media
this shot is gorgeous
and we end with the house surrounded.
Once again things get tense and the Day of Unity is a week away, so next week should be intense too. this was an Emotions Heavy episode for the main cast, especially King of course, and we finally get the confirmation that he is a Titan. the last one. poor baby
So, speaking of next week
so, ever since Hollow Mind I think it's clear we're on Season Finale Mode so all episodes will be intense. Next week we have Labyrinth Runners (is that a Maze Runner reference lmao) and it's a Gus episode which yesss I love my boy.
but it says the Emperor's Coven is going to Hexside, so I assume they're hunting for Luz and probably anyone who sides with her. Gus will team up with an "unlikely ally" and there's a lot of options there so we gotta wait and see.
Tumblr media
Still, I noticed this one shot of the promo is definitely from next week's ep and it's the last shot from the promos we haven't seen as far as I can tell (do correct me if I'm wrong). Which means we're going blind into the last few episodes. ominous

in the adopted au, what does lilith think of hunter? cuz i can see this going three ways. 1.) she knows this kid is the same one that belos has been looking for, and thus lilith wishes to capture him as well. 2.) all she knows about this kid is that her sister is taking care of him, which raises so many questions. where did eda find the kid, did she steal him, etc in general lilith has all sorts of wild theories around who this blonde scarred up kid is. and 3.) she didnt even know hunter existed until she got in touch with her sister again when luz is around and genuinly thinks that hunter is her sister's actual child, and no one corrects lilith until after season 1 and she's been staying in the owl house for awhile. grant it, hunter is still eda's adopted kid but no one told her. lilith's even more upset when even gwendolyn knows hunter and how eda kidnapped.... er, adopted him.
i love ALL of these ideas canon i cant believe i have to choose between them. imma just say some stuff on all of them and hope i come to a conclusion when writing it kjsthkrjthrkj god help me
1) Lilith could've easily tracked Eda down after Belos's nephew mysteriously went missing the same night Eda escaped, and found her in like the night market with this tiny child hidden under her cloak. Lilith ofc immediately says Eda has to return him she can't just kidnap a child, however Eda is stubborn and deadpans "Belos can run me through with those weird horns of his if he wants this kid back" and thus Lilith is now half trying to get Eda to come to the Emperor's Coven to get healed and half trying to re-kidnap Hunter and bring him back to Belos. Shes convinced that Eda just has this kid out of spite and the poor childs gonna grow up feral and a whole mess of problems, Eda's not qualified to have a child in her possession. course as Hunter grows up he learns how to handle himself against Lilith as well and trick her to escape, which Lilith blames on Eda making the kid hate the Emperor's Coven for seemingly no good reason. shes even MORE insistent on getting Hunter back when she realizes he has no magic, and thus is at a far greater disadvantage just in general. girl has no idea that Belos caused the kid all those scars and not Eda or the trickster lifestyle Hunter has now. shes VERY apologetic when she learns the truth.
2) "Eda where the hell did you find a CHILD" and generally her concerned that Eda legit kidnapped him or just picked up the kid on the streets like a stray cat. "Eda did you even get him any Shots he could be Diseased. are there even Adoption forms. Eda--" and just general nagging from Lilith trying to figure out how Eda got this little bastard kid that insists on stomping on Lilith's feet. in her spare time she draws up theories on where Eda could've gotten this child and is concerned by the fact that Eda thought she could take care of a kid. a demon child is one thing, those guys are mostly self-sufficient and can eat almost anything, a witch is another matter. she understands a bit more upon realizing Hunter has no magic. no wonder Eda would take him in then, shes the most powerful witch on the boiling isles, but still an outcast in her own right. ironic she'd take in a witch with no magic, and just as odd as her. Lilith nearly lost her mind when she realized who's kid he originally was
3) Lilith had seen glimpses of Hunter before but never thought much of it until they truly got in contact again, and Lilith did a sharp double-take. kids a blonde with different eyes, sure, but he's got all of Eda's snark, stubbornness, showboating, and the irritating charm both of them insist they have. to Lilith, that's a very obvious child of Eda's, and she Loses Her Mind. when did Eda have a kid? he looks like hes 16, she had a kid 16 years ago?? did she only recently take the kid in??? did his other parent die or leave him on her doorstep?? was Eda just really good at hiding him? shes an AUNT?? shes got a lot of thoughts. I wonder if that'd also mean she'd try to take Hunter with her when she takes Eda to Belos, thinking he'll cure her. I wonder if she'd feel bad since Hunter is her 'real' family like she said in canon or if she'd let Hunter stay with Luz and King in the hopes that when Eda gets cured she can just return her to the kids waiting at home. if she let him stay with Luz you better believe he's grabbing everything he can and storming back to the Coven to kick Belos and Lilith's ass he is NOT letting them take the one good parent in his life. if Lilith took Hunter With her,,,,hoooo boy shes in for a surprise when Hunter is fighting to stay with Eda while also getting as far from the Castle as possible, and when faced with Belos, is called family. Lilith would have. multiple questions on why Belos and Eda both have a kid before its explained that no, actually, he's not related to Eda at all. and god, her learning that Gwen not only knew about Hunter but also learned he wasn't biologically Eda's before her? she'd be so pissed

Here's Eclipse Lake, an episode that has been highly anticipated! Will it top Knock, Knock, Knockin' On Hooty's Door?
I'll skip the pretense: No. It won't.
You'll see under the cut.
Hmm, that list of ingredients for the Grimwalker...I'll let other people theorize about this (like @sepublic ), but it sure looks like a thing
Guess the mysterious green goo won't cut it, huh?
Belos face reveal already?! Huh, didn't expect it so soon.
Oh, no, he's hot! (And I'm mad about it)
Still an ass, though
Now we know why Hunter was wearing a different outfit (because people fixated on that for some reason)
Amity with the clipboard gives me strong Dipper vibes
GHOST! My beloved!
I need a moment because CAT!
(Also, someone pointed out earlier that Ghost was based on Dana's cat, and that's super obvious in hindsight)
Raine?! Oh, wait, you mean rain. Sigh.
Eda gets training tips from DBZ confirmed
(Also Amity's face when reacting to Eda's explanation is priceless)
Oh God Eda's a weeb I need another moment
Damn, Amity just straight up calling Eda old
Oh, loopy Luz
(The abomination holding the tissue box is adorable for many reasons)
Yeah, don't want Luz to eat the McGuffin
I have several questions about those Tamagotchis that I'll refrain from listing here
Amity your Odalia is showing
Girlfriend counter: 1
(Yes I am introducing a counting gag, deal with it)
Was wondering if they were ever gonna reference the dissection incident. We've come a long way, baby!
Oh, so that's what everyone was looking at
Luz honey your enthusiasm is admirable but no
Luz burrito is quite cute, though
Girlfriend counter: 2
(Damn, still wild to think that that's the case)
Just occurred to me that "Boots" is probably shortened from "Bossyboots" from earlier
Guess the Luz hiss compilation needs to be updated again
Those tunnels ain't the only thing around here that's unstable, amirite?
Oops, guess Kiki was justified, after all
Maybe don't talk so loudly about your plans, dude
That is her son, get it right!
Serves you right for having that stupid strand of hair sticking out like that
Is this just the episode where everyone dunks on White Boy? Because I can totally get behind that.
Already mentioned this, but I am loving the parallels between Katara and Amity with that bottle of abomination goo. Insert obligatory "Two Nickels" meme here about Mae Whitman.
We really are just dunking on the white boy and I am living for it
Hooty had to get it from somewhere, I suppose
Nothing says mother-son bonding like shooting things at each other (see also: Separate Tides)
I'm sure the magic bouncing off the veins won't come into play later at all
Oh well, at least the echolocation looked cool
At this point Amity would kill Hunter for a Klondike bar
Wait why does Hooty need a chair
Willow with the galaxy brain ideas
"A bad but sad boy" Luz is a genius at succinctly summing people up
Kikimora continues to be unhinged. Ironically she's not wrong about Hunter.
Motherfucker stop acting like you know what that says
(Also, projecting much?)
Girlfriend counter: 3
Friendly reminder that Hunter is still an antagonist
Uh oh
UH OH
I know someone mentioned Willow having the brain cell, but honestly it seemed like Luz had it this whole time. And that's not good.
WHY IS FOOL'S BLOOD EVEN A THING
Aaaaand cue the getting screwed over
Further reminder that he's still an antagonist (Apparently there's a vocal segment who's Really Mad at him that seem to forget this fact)
You unhand Ghost right now!! And Amity too, I guess.
(I kid, she's literally my second favorite character)
For what she did to Raine it warms my heart to know Kiki has had zero peace of mind
Wait, the Abomatons are Transformers?! Okay, that's kind of awesome, actually. Alador might be a shit dad but he is a brilliant inventor.
Chucking kids off cliffs is a surpisingly common pastime in the Boiling Isles
Owlbert no!
Eda did spend literal decades fighting the Owl Beast within, so I guess she can't be blamed for not thinking to talk to it
Also hurry up guys I'm very concerned about Owlbert
Fuck yeah Harpy Milf!
Yay Ghost returns!
Tumblr media
She's glad they're okay (I didn't need to take this, I just thought it was cute. Also this is surprisingly high quality considering I just took a photo of my TV screen)
Oh, so they do have video games in the Demon Realm. That or Luz introduced them.
Trailer shot!
Oh dear, we about to have a fight over the key
Wow, being so high ranking under Belos is really bad for mental health
Jesus Christ Belos what have you been putting in this poor kid's head?
Leave it to King to give radical recontextualizations
Amity, I'm glad you remembered/realized this about Luz, please don't let the sad white boy play you like that again
Also, I appreciate the gesture you're making, and it's a wonderful summary of your character development, but goddamnit he's gonna go for that key because he's STILL AN ANTAGONIST
"Being nice usually works for Luz!" A) Not always, and B) Amity I love you but Luz you are not. A valiant attempt nonetheless.
Ooh, cool fight scene!
Always lovely to see such superb animation
I was privately griping about not seeing Amity use magic for so long, and now I am fed
Don't think I didn't hear the glass breaking
Appreciate your ass from a hole in the ground, Golden Boy!
(jk I don't actually feel that strongly about him still. That kind of threat still isn't cool, though)
Oh so that's why it's the Common Mold!
Tumblr media
It's kinda cute, actually. Or maybe it's just because it's Luz.
TIL Hooty is heat resistant
Apparently Owl Beast just wanted a snack
Girlfriend counter: 4
Also love how calling Amity her awesome girlfriend is literally the first thing Luz says to her upon returning.
Yesssss return the hug! You deserve it!
Tumblr media
(I know there are higher quality versions of this screenshot, I just didn't feel like looking around)
King demands huggies, too! (And gets 'em)
Reminder that Amity is smart as hell. I knew that glass breaking indicated something!
So once again I've been had. I let the fandom trick me into thinking this episode would be way more intense. Guess that one screenshot was from the next episode.
Overall this was...fine. Some nice Lumity moments, Harpy Eda strutting her stuff, that gorgeously animated fight sequence; those were all lovely.
I do wish Willow and Gus had a bit more to do. And I'm still rather unenthusiastic about Hunter, to be honest. I've seen his type several times before, and the path they have for him is rather obvious. I may never share the fandom's love for him, and I guess I'll have to deal with that.
Anybody who says this was better than KKKOHD is a damn fool.
Mid season finale next week! I think Yesterday's Lie will finally bring the pain!

Note
First one was fun soo (and this is absolutely not just me projecting my overworking self)
(Should be noted I’m European, so I accidentally wrote this about crepes without realising that there could be a difference)
A way Luz makes sure Amity doesn’t overwork herself is by teaching her how to cook. (I love her, but sadly she’s still a rich kid and that fairy pie was probably the first time she’s stepped into a kitchen)
Luz reckons the easiest and tastiest thing to teach would be pancakes. Eda watches over them, cuz kids and open fire don’t always go well together.
Luz tells her to “beat an egg” and has to stop her from slamming her fist down on it, and explain what beating actually is.
Luz comments that the batter is a touch thick, and recites Eda’s advice of “it won’t be perfect, but does it really have to be?” which helps Amity not feel like she messed it up.
While cooking, Luz shows how to flip it in thr air, overly confidently stating how this is an advanced technique.
Amity tries it to show off to her cute gf and drops it on the floor, and when she tries to apologise to Eda she simply responds “what pancake?” And nods towards a very satisfied King, his tummy filled with floor pancake.
Afterwards:
Amity: ugh I never knew that cooking could be this stressful.
Luz, overly concerned: noo they’re perfect Ames
A, suspicious: really?
L: well… no! But you did really well for your first time! I give you and A for effort and C for cutie patootie!
A, absolutely not blushing at the compliment: that’s not how any of that works… but thank you.
oh boy you know an ask is gonna be good when the first sentence is an apology for being european
i like how in this situation they’re cooking pancakes over an open fire— a bit extreme but smth they’d do
i can honestly imagine amity challenging an egg to a witches duel or something omg. poor things been spoiled all her life with abomination servents but now she has a gf to teach her ✨life✨ (ft. king eating all the failed crepes/pancakes)
