Bullfrog headcanon rambles under cut

This is mostly me rambling to figure out how I want to approach Bullfrog and his past in road trip au as well as maybe get second opinions on my ideas?

Admittedly worried about canon eventually destroying whatever I do come up with for Bullfrog but that's the beauty of aus I guess

I really am positive Bullfrog has some connection to Polokus, but I think for narrative sakes I won't explore that outside of "uh weird Bullfrog is so similar to that guy" as I can't really figure out how to do that without making Bullfrog a demi god of sorts and that seems kinda overkill

Unless I went full on nightmare fuel and Polokus is a rotting corpse within Eden's secret science storage, like Lilith from evangelion.... That might be fun actually

Between the hybrids existing for a specific purpose and the art book talking about Dolph's genetics being ideal for augmentation, we can conclude Eden is definitely playing God with DNA and technology

I seen some people headcanon Bullfrog being a science experiment before the assassin brotherhood took him in, an idea I like

BUUUUT I actually wanna make it so Bullfrog had a normal ish childhood before his life as an assassin, and also had younger siblings because I diagnosed that frog with eldest daughter syndrome

So I may have it where one of his parents were a failed experiment instead. They were made and experimented on to get the ability to see the future but it only manifested as a passive gene that went by unnoticed by the labs, so the frog was let go (or escaped) , met another froggy and they had Bullfrog and his siblings, Bullfrog inherited the gene and got the future seeing bubbles

Debating if he grew up in France or Canada

At some point something happens where only Bullfrog survives, he gets taken in by the Creed and then ends up the sole survivor of whatever took out the brotherhood

I definitely think as well that Bullfrog has a fear of committing to relationships and a general paranoia of people around him hurting him after becoming the only assassin within Eden (and the world at large). Like I definitely think Bullfrog wants friends and other meaningful relationships, he probably knows he has to try or else he won't find anyone willing to join him rebuilding the Creed, but being surrounded by a society that's been brainwashed by the Templar order since their birth prob has him more on edge than he lets on

Salvador's Journal

We just got a letter from Aunt Dolores that my grandmother died. And not long after that, her partner Helen also caught ill and died, presumably of a broken heart. I felt sad and fell into Mom's arms like I was a little boy again. I didn't see Grandma often but I always loved her stories and how she taught me about gardening. I'll miss her a lot, just like I miss Dad. I need to remember him and now I must be strong and comfort Gloria and tell her about our family so she remembers.

We took the train down to Oasis Springs for the funeral of my grandma Consuelo. It was the first time I had been in all my life, and maybe someday I'll visit again. A lot of my dad's relatives were there, his aunts and uncle and cousins— just like Grandma, they are all a part of me.

i watched captain laserhawk entirely so i could see rayman eating sushi off a naked cow furry girls ass myself and i knew going in what this show was gonna be about just based off that and wow yeah it didnt let me down in terms of 'this is complete dogshit'. they tried too hard, they didnt try hard enough. extremely messing and confusing. theres politics, i guess, but theyre bad. a character says smth abt how much socialism sucks (their dystopian fascist world is like Red Scare-y, i guess?) and how much he misses america (its post-america). id seen no one talk abt it besides 'rayman does coke' and yeah he sure does coke, they also tried to give him either badly written DID or psychosis but im leaning towards DID bcuz they made a perfect blue reference, and i guess that was the edgiest most Mature and Serious thing they could think of. to be fair i think im the only person on earth who made it to the final episode to even know that happens. in one ear out the other. no one has any motivations or character or relationships, and no one ever does anything that makes any sense, things just happen bcuz the plot needs them to happen. they spend most episodes just narrating whats going on around them. the main guys ex boyfriend has the political motivations of an MCU villain. no one writing this show understood how oppression works but i think its funny they even tried when they clearly just made this show forlike, hazbin hotel fans who think an adult show saying fuck a lot is peak mature serious edgy cool. the only thing i enjoyed out of the entire thing was when it flashbacked for 2 seconds to the main guys Gay Backstory and hes like partying at gay clubs with furry pole dancers in leather harnesses

#the rayman thing was so funny it wasnt even insulting. he got in a fight w himself in the mirorr and was like im *evil voice* Ramon now #no one should ever watch this show and not even for that reason btw. thats just one of the funniest things abt it #i think like ep 1 or something they give the main guys backstory and they say in a rly serious voice smth like #'he was ADDICTED to CRACK when he was SIX YEARS OLD' and i lost my fucking mind #me when i take smth meant to be outrageous from like fucking moral orel and try to use it to show how Mature my Adult show is

in light of recent ominous events with the eggs (namely, theories that they’re hatching, and their even more recent disappearance this morning), i think it’s worth looking at what an insane social experiment of a situation that all the members and admins find themselves in, with us as the overly invested lab coat scientists, so hi welcome to Quackity (Accidentally) Makes Social Experiments 100000% Funnier

when talking about the egg event the focus tends to be on the cc’s and how attached they are, because they’re the ones we can fully see and gauge their emotional responses. it’s already been well established how genuinely invested they all are. but the eggs’ admins have just as much skin in the game as their in-game parents do

The tragedy of the eggs being taken away isn’t necessarily the eggs (characters) dying/leaving. it’s more than that. it’s that, in a way, the admin dies with the character. And the further that the egg event has continued past the point it was meant to end, and past the point of no return, the more true this has become.

richas plays more than the “actual” members. phil admits to seeing chayanne and tallulah as part of the server and genuinely likes who they are as people. dapper, ramon, leo, pomme—they’re all so ingrained in the island that it is impossible to imagine it without them, and to do so would be like removing half of the cc’s themselves. only Worse!

Because it’s so final when the eggs die. so definite. because even if a steamer left, you’ll see them continue in their own capacity as a streamer, but the eggs are just gone. they’re mostly anonymous (richas is again a good example). they’d vanish like they were never there, with no real way to reconnect with them

and it’s all even More high-stakes from the admin’s perspective. from watching early gegg streams, you can see how, even with charlie’s mic off, it doesn’t really feel any different from watching a normal stream?? he’s still there, interacting with his friends, joking around, playing minecraft with them, and that’s what the egg’s admins do almost Every. Single. Day. what!! an indirect comparison would be an internet friend you’ve only messaged and never vc’d with. a more direct comparison (for those who were in the trenches) would be that friend you made when you were 12 and roleplaying on a minecraft creative plots server.

juanaflippa’s admin and tilin’s admin have, on twitter, mentioned how much they miss hanging out with their ‘parents’. bobby’s admin having to say goodbye to jaiden and roier and actually crying. tallulah and chayanne giving music recommendations to phil. leo interacting with foolish in a pretty Normal Friends way (yknow, if you disregard the bedtime stories) with leo teaching him spanish and him teaching her english. they’re ALL more than just characters. they’re people!! what the hell!!!

this is not to say that the admins for the eggs are traumatized, not even a little, or that the egg experiment is in any way morally wrong (on the contrary, I love it! fun roleplay dynamics! acting! emotions repercussions that make me want to study their brains!) though i do hope for the admins sake and all of ours that they can stay as long as possible or else their therapy bills will be crazy

because when it comes down to it, friendship is friendship, whether you met roleplaying their child on a minecraft server or not

tubbo thoughts cause his recent leadership is absolutely something that i want to talk about

tubbo was the soulfire leader in purgatory 1 and the leader in of the goose gang in purg 2. his experience in purgatory 1 esp with how in some instances his members did not listen to him changed how he approaches leadership. tubbo was a good leader but because of personality and like moral and decision making conflicts, he never got full respect until the coach moment. his coach mentality that he started in the flag event in p1 really shows like a shift in his character that continues in p2.

in p2, he becomes much more comfortable with leading people and easily falls into the leadership role in comparison to the adjustment period with soulfire. he makes plans and his team follows easily and esp with goose gang, it is a full on like found family in itself. and even if they knew they were losing on day 4, they went out with full control of their narrative. they got the chainsaws out and raided bases. similar to the flag event of p1, this is what i feel like is another shift in tubbo's relationship with leadership cause he now feels an element of freedom in a sense, just letting everything go. but he still is grounded and stubborn enough as "he cant end on a loss"

now looking at the events that happened today with @v@ and dapper and bbh, he was not in a real leadership role when t=he confronted @v@ with bad but was absolutely still in purgatory mode as noted with the chainsaw in hand and the inclination to just kill forever. when bad gets put in prison and tubbo gathers the online eggs, thats where you can see the effects that purgatory and his experience with leadership pull through. he keeps everyone together, making sure that no one gets left behind, ensures that sunny stays in the ROM, and absolutely tracks down any possible location where dapper can be for 4 hours. it is so similar to how he was searching for bases during purgatory 2, he was pulling out all the tricks like cave layers, analyzing the photos, even thinking about the login name visibility which im 90% he became aware of cause of purgatory 2 and him trying to track down cpk.

and like he is still so scared. he was absolutely not the best person to emotionally handle the fear that ramon, pomme, and sunny were feeling when he told them that dapper was kidnapped but he made do with what he had. because he had to keep going, he had to lead the team in any way possible. sure its not the healthiest mindset but he wasn't given that pleasure in purgatory 1 or 2. stakes are high, he needs a win.

whether it is the day's contracts, a 1v1 pvp battle, the amount of damage to an egg statue or a location of a base, tubbo cannot end on a loss.

The day people stop saying they want morally grey characters/villains and then cry and throw up when a character is morally grey/a villain is the day I’ll know peace. Bad who was beloved and trusted by the entire island going off the deep end and lying to basically everyone and kidnapping federation workers is INTERESTING!!!! Foolish has literally said from the start that he’s not as adverse to doing things for the feds as the others he sees this as a game, they’re stuck on the island and after 6 months are no closer to leaving fuck it he’s going to just play both sides for the hell of it. Baghera is keeping important secrets about her past and empathising with federation workers, Jaiden has a very close bond with cucurucho a closer bond (in her opinion) than she has with some of the islanders. Max is becoming a code (maybe idk I can’t wait for him to continue his story) and lying to everyone about what’s really going on. Cellbit accidentally fed info to the feds for weeks. Fit is trying to find data about the islanders and is lying to literally every single person except Ramon. Mouse and Tina are helping foolish snitch on those who were breaking the rules. Like let them be fucked up it would be so boring if everyone on the server was a golden boy hero! yaaaaawn. Obviously we’re allowed to discuss their characters and share opinions and critiques but I wish people would stop freaking out any time a character makes a choice that’s not like the perfect and most morally correct one ya know. Let’s just all enjoy our cubitos being a bit fucked up but we love them anyway 🫶🏻
