The Empire Reimagined Series and its accompanying Oneshot Series

This marvelous Original Trilogy Canonverse AU has EVERYTHING, Skywalker Family FEELS, badassery, action, humor, *chef’s kiss* banter, and it’s AMAZING.

This series is pure serotonin and it’s absolutely precious.

I wish I could hug this AU and everyone in it, frankly.

A Star to Steer By

This Georgian/Age of Sail AU is the perfect combination of Star Wars with Patrick O’Brien’s Aubrey-Maturin series/C. S. Forester’s Hornblower series vibes, and the perfect balance of action, humor, FEELS, and ride-or-die bestieism.

The Limpet AU by Frodogenic

This is Original Trilogy Canonverse AU comedy/family feels goodness, and this series made me look crazy with how much I was cackling while reading it; I mean, you have Skywalker Family Feels, Darth (Grand)Dadakin, and Admiral Piett is DONE With Life.

You will have emotions in some parts, and want to bust a gut laughing in others; I know I did.

One of my jams is Leia makes up with Dad fics, so these are a few:

This references some events from Legends but it’s still quite in canon up to now.

The Skywalker Family Feels Series by salanaland

This series focuses on Anakin trying to Dad after he dies, and while there are a couple of stories about Luke and Anakin, one about Anakin annoying Obi-Wan in the Force, and one or two following/focusing on other characters, this story mainly focuses on Anakin and Leia, and I just love Anakin’s characterization here—it honestly tracks that he’d be like he is in this series.

Wastelands by Mistress_Siana

Leia crash lands on a planet, and with danger imminent, she must rely on a certain Force Ghost to help her make her shuttle spaceworthy once more.

Her reconciliation with Anakin is ambiguous here, but they come to an understanding of sorts.

Wish I Could Be by @melanoradrood

This actually should also be in the category of fics that made me cry, because the first time I read this, it honestly made me cry.

This is one of the best Dramione fics I have EVER read, and every moment just hits RIGHT.

It’s a Fourth Year canon compliant fic, and it’s just… Lord, I cannot recommend this enough.

Steel Flowers; Paper Hearts by @girl-among-mts

This Canonverse AU Gingerrose fic had me grinning like a maniac when I read it, and each time I reread it, my heart just melts into a puddle.

It’s part character study, part developing love story, and 100% fluffy goodness.

This was the modern IT Guy!Ben/Mechanic!Rey AU I did not know that I needed.

It is a ride of emotions and humor, and I love this story.

This is a Meet Not-So-Cute Reylo story where Lawyer!Ben Solo ends up bailing his parents and uncle out of jail on Christmas Eve, but there’s already someone there for his uncle—his uncle’s beautiful neighbor, Rey.

Tell Your Parents to Subscribe! by dawninthemtn

This is a Reylo AU where Ben is a Mr. Rogers-esque figure, and Rey is the journalist for a BuzzFeed-esque website, who interviews him.

queen of my heart (body and soul) by hi_raeth

This is a Reylo Princess Diaries 2 AU which had me smiling like a madwoman when I read it.

This is a Jaime Lannister/Lyanna Stark GoT AU (they’d have been perfect for each other if she’d lived), where Jaime ends up as King after killing Aerys, and ends up marrying Lyanna.

They fall in love somewhere along the way.

1 what's the fic you're most proud of? since nothing has changed me quite like you a Smuggler-Turned-Reluctant-Jedi!Ben Solo x Sith-Princess!Rey role reversal au! I wrote this for the Reylo Charity Anthology: Volume 2 that was released in 2020. I had signed up before TROS was released and scrapped my original fic after that (because heartbroken is an understatement) and wrote this one instead within 30 days of moving across the country while packing my house up. It was healing for me, and it helped me make peace with that ship. I never plan on touching Reylo again, and this felt like a good one to go out on. 16. do you re-read old fics? is there a time in your writing you won't go back to? sometimes when I'm feeling really down on my writing I re-read some of the first fics I published on ao3, just to see my growth! I still have a buttload of fic on my teenage ffnet account that I absolutely will NOT re-read ever, just, it's a big no thanks.

Favourite story you’ve written so far: Oh boy… I love most of my stories! Um… Probably The Phoenix Project because I got to tie it in with Stargate, one of my absolute favourite TV franchises. And also Pieces of Echoes because it’s my first Superfamily story and will always have a special place in my heart ♥️

Fic you were nervous to post: really all of them, but mostly Practice Run, because it deals with the topic of religion, and also Mr Stark, my first foray into the MCU 😊

How do you choose your titles?: a lot of my titles come from song lyrics. Pieces of Echoes is the combination of two songs that comprised the playlist I chose for that fic. Trapped in the Shadows is a paraphrase from a line in the song What’s Left of Me, which I feel describes Steve perfectly in that story. Other titles are plays on what’s going on in the fic. The Eventide Aspect, for example, is another way to say Twilight Zone 😉, and The Man Out of Time both describes Steve and the overall arc of the fic.

Do you outline?: not in the traditional sense. Most of the time I write a few notes on how I want the plot to go and have scenes plotted out that I call “anchor scenes”. Then I just fill in the blanks. My fics often expand way past my original ideas while I’m writing them, so outlining for me would just be a waste of time.

Where do I fit into the SW fandom?

I'm pretty solidly a Sequels fan, but I have a special place in my heart for the Prequels. I'm a fic writer who dabbles mostly in canon universe AUs, what ifs, that sort of stuff. Primarily my fics have Rey with a tendency to focus on the First Order characters and plots.

My Top Faves

A classic Reylo fic from an old friend - Beneath the Facade. It technically has a prologue fic before it in the series, but this piece was the one that I really enjoyed way back in the EARLY days of Reylo.

Where do I fit into the SW fandom?

I‘m in my thirties and an OT fan since birth, because my dad was obsessed with Star Wars and we watched it a lot as kids - they are the go to christmas movies in our family. Even as a very small kid I loved Vader. I didn’t like the ST quite as much when it came out in cinemas but still watched them multiple times. I’m much more fond of them now. But my love for Star Wars really got renewed with the ST. I really liked TFA and TLJ a lot. Not a great fan of TROS though, but to each their own. I recently started watching TCW, if you haven’t go watch it! The Mandalorian is also great and feels more like the OT for me, which I love. Oh, and R1 was awesome, I loved that one! Solo also was good. I think I will be a lifelong fan because it’s such a rich universe and everybody can pick a favorite. I’m also good at ignoring the parts I don’t like, lol. But I‘m mostly exhausted about all the drama on social media, so at the moment I take a bit of a break from social media and only post from time to time. And I’m of the firm believe to ship and let ship and if the art and fics are good, you can also find me enjoying ships outside of Reylo (honestly, some Kylux art out there, woah... and Finnrey is always so tender but Stormpilot has two hot guys in it... and don’t get me started about Finnrose! You probably get the gist)

It all started with the prequels which I fell in love with and even wrote my first fan fic on. (I dragged it from fanfic.net to A03 for my own form of personal torture) I dropped out of star wars until I was in Japan and a close group of friends got me to watch Roque One and play a star wars based table top role playing game, which dumped me back into this fandom hardcore. I fell in love with the sequel trilogy and now I'm stuck forever. Lol

I have been writing on A03 for around 2 years now for star wars and it's been the most productive and progressive work I've ever done thanks to ya'll.

Also, hey, I created this multishippers discord, because multishipping rocks and everyone should do it. :P I know I've never active enough but I love this space and the people in it! My fav part about multishipping is how I'm always discovering yet another ship that is awesome. It never ends. ^^

Rey’s fiddling with the controls the first time she hears his voice. It’s unexpected. She hasn’t heard anyone speaking her language in what feels like decades. Here they all speak some form of Basic that’s been cobbled together from a variety of alien languages, including ones from her home planet of Earth. But his voice comes through loud and clear as she’s turning the knobs.

“Fuck!”

She giggles. She can’t help it. She hits another button, leans toward the seldom-used microphone attached to the communication equipment. “Hello?”

“Fuck,” the voice says again. “How do you turn this thing off?” There’s some indistinct chatter from somewhere further away than the voice, and then the line goes dead.

She crosses her arms over her chest and leans back. She liked his voice, curse words and all. There’s something about it: deep and dark, like the chocolate she misses from back home. But mostly she misses the cadence of Earth speakers. There are others here, who speak a language close to her people’s, but it’s not the same. Never the same.

Not that she knows who her people are. She was dumped here so long ago, abandoned to a desert planet with an atmosphere she can’t even breathe. She wonders, more often than not, what it would be like to be outside, to be able to breathe the air without some sort of apparatus, to not be confined to giant domes that only allow a tease of the outside without actually letting you be a part of it.

She wonders where he is.

Who he is?

She turns the knobs several more times, but there’s nothing more than static. With a sigh, she returns to her work on the communications array. Maybe she’ll hear him again…sometime…

Thank you all for the prayers and well-wishes about my family (my dad has been in the ICU/hospital for nearly two weeks with covid and double pnuemonia). When he went into the ICU, he only had a 20% chance of surviving, and what he went through was truly horrific. (No visitors were allowed either, since he was suffering from covid). 

He’s now off oxygen, though he’s very weak, and has to use a cane. The highlight of the week was when he was able to take twenty steps on his own! And today, he’s coming home. 🙏🏻💙

As for my own health, I started developing chest pains a week ago, amidst other symptoms of covid. I tested negative once, then when I was re-tested on Monday, I was negative again. On Tuesday I went to the ER and had another test for covid, an IV, blood work, an EKG, and a CAT scan. 

Despite testing negative for covid (three times now), they were able to see covid in my lungs, as well as a severe infection that I’m on antibiotics for. The doctor considered hospitalizing me, but wanted to get the infection under control first. 

I still am finishing up the semester for university (I’m an online student) and I am trying to avoid having to drop out. The antibiotics are taking so much out of me, as well as the pain/s from covid. I’ve dropped out of the Reylo Nature Anthology, though I will still participate in the Harry Potter Daddy Dom fest. I’m not sure how much writing I’m going to get done in the next couple weeks, and I apologize if my fics aren’t updated! I intend to finish them all, and upload as I normally do, as soon as I begin to feel better.

Thank you all so much for the wonderful support. The messages, comments, emails, etc. truly meant and mean so much to me, and my dad loved receiving cards. He has a long way to recovery, and we’ll have to be kept completely separate in our house, since if he catches covid again, he will pass away.

Chapter One: The New Girl

My eye wandered over to the corner and got stuck there. Because sitting at a table in the corner, all by herself, is the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen. I couldn’t even tell you what it was about her that I found so compelling; she had brown hair pulled back, and a face, and … eyes? See what I mean? She just looked like a girl. But she was gazing at me, and that was cool. And she was all by herself, and I’d never seen her before. As I looked at her, looking at me, it occurred to me that I had seen her before. In my history class, that morning. She’d been in the back corner and had barely registered - the teacher hadn’t introduced her, even though she was clearly new. And now here she was, staring at me.

So I went over to say hi. It was only polite, right?

“Hey,” I said. “I’m Kylo. Are you new here?”

That’s me, very smooth, with the great opening lines. The girl smiled up at me, and I got a hard-on, just like that, which I ignored and which I hoped she didn’t notice. I sat down across from her, just to make sure.

“I’m Rey,” she replied. Her voice was lovely, low and smooth with just a hint of a British accent, and familiar in a way that made my heart clench. “Just moved here yesterday.” She tilted her head, and narrowed her eyes. “You’re in my history class. I thought your name was Ben?”

My hard-on collapsed, which would have been a blessing except that all the blood rushed from my cock up to my face. I could feel the steam rising from the tips of my ears. Why do I have to be such a dumbass? And why did I recognize her voice?

“Uh, yeah, my name is Ben but my friends call me Kylo. It’s, uh, like a nickname.”

Chariot - Rated E. My first attempt at the smutty one-shot! Title is from a song that had little to do with what actually happens in the fic, but I was drunk when I wrote it so it made sense at the time. Modern AU. Ben and Rey meet at Dr. Anakin Skywalker’s memorial.

Training Day - Rated E. Canonverse. One-shot. Ben and Rey are good at sparring, not so much at sex. But all that is about to change...

Code 288 - Rated E. One-shot. Detectives Ben Solo and Rey Johnson have been partners for the last five years. Now he's going to another precinct to take over as Captain. He asks her for help saying goodbye with a romp in the interrogation room.

Careless Whisper - Rated E. One-shot. 80′s AU. Rey doesn't know why she lets her college roommate Rose talk her into going out, but she does. She should be studying, but instead she is at the bitchin' new club everyone is talking about. Then a stranger in a Duran Duran shirt catches her eye and suddenly it's not a wasted evening.

Truth Be Told - Rated M. Multi-chapter. Unfinished (but hoping to start back on this one soon!) Alias AU. Rey is an agent with SD-6, a secret branch of the CIA. But a chance encounter with the mysterious agent Kylo Ren could send everything she knows crashing to the ground. Could she be working for the very enemy she thought she was fighting?

Dubbed "America's Asshole" by the press, he has recently finished a stint in an anger management facility after punching his last agent in the face.Rey Niima is a top talent agent and is outraged to find out she has been assigned to be Ben Solo's newest victim. When they start to work together the sparks will fly (in more ways than one).

let’s be human (while we still remember how) - Rated E. 2 chapters. Complete. Canonverse. Kylo Ren has defected to the Resistance and will only speak to Rey of Jakku, much to General Poe Dameron's chagrin. Can Rey get the information from him that she needs for to turn the tide of the war? And what is she supposed to do with all these feelings that Ben Solo has stirred in her soul?

caelum et infernum - Rated E. 10 chapters. Complete. A/B/O. Supernatural AU. Kylo Ren is a hunter. You name it, he hunts it: demons, vampires, ghosts, werewolves, etc. His alpha designation makes him exceptionally good at it. Scarce in today’s mostly beta society, alphas are treated as outcasts, making his life on the road lonely. That is until he meets Rey Johnson, a prophet who sees visions of the future. She also happens to be a rare omega. Once he saves her life, she must join him on the run as they are caught up in a battle between Heaven, Hell and their inexorable pull to each other.

Whiskey & Superstition - Rated E. 6 chapters. Complete. Reylogan AU. Rey Johnson is a junior agent in the FBI, trying to prove her mettle. So when Special Agent Sarah Grayson sends her on a secret mission to Boone County, West Virginia to scope out the Logan family, she readily accepts. Only the mission may not be all it seems, and Rey certainly didn't expect to fall hard for the bartender with a heart of gold, Clyde.

Walk This Way - Rated E. 3 chapters. Complete. Modern AU. Rey Johnson is the lone female on a crew of construction workers renovating a building in the NYC neighborhood of SoHo. She hates the way her teammates ogle and catcall women. One day, a handsome passerby catches her eye and she develops a staring problem. Her foreman, Poe Dameron, notices and decides to help her out. Ben Solo works for a publishing company in the heart of SoHo. He's made a comfortable, quiet life for himself. Then a pretty construction worker shows up on the stoop by his work and suddenly he's got a new morning routine. The last thing he expected is for her to actually be interested in him.

Category 4 - Rated E. 3 chapters. Complete. Ben Solo goes home for his parents' anniversary party. Little does he know they invited the girl he had a major crush on two summers ago. Or that they're about to be stranded together in the midst of a hurricane.

Mind if I Move in Closer? - Rated E. One-shot. It's Christmas Eve and Rey has left her shopping till the last minute. Fortunately, she runs into a fellow last minute shopper and they decide to get a bite to eat at one of the only places still open...

The Echoes They Left Behind - This originally published in the Reylo Charity Anthology so I’m counting it for 2018. Rated E. 7 chapters. WIP. In present day Takodana, upstate New York, Rey Johnson is the caretaker of the abandoned Takodana Sanatorium, a facility that used to be an asylum for the criminally insane as well as a tuberculosis ward during the epidemic. Ben Solo has been sent by First Order publications to do an article on the old asylum before it is torn down. In that same sanatorium, in the 1940s, Kira Kenobi is an idealistic nurse whose world is upended by the arrival of the dark, mysterious patient Kylo Ren. As the past and the present collide, can Rey find out the secrets the spirits of the asylum want her to know before the wrecking ball destroys it all?

The Stairwell - Rated M. One-shot. Ben Solo has worked with Rey Johnson for the past two years. And he's been in love with her the whole time. He just needs to work up the courage to tell her... unless she beats him to it.

All At Once - Rated E. One-shot. Canonverse. The First Order has taken over the planet Neftali in the Soccoro system. Every year, the town of Cordel Cove hosts a winter carnival that culminates in a masquerade ball. The presence of one Supreme Leader has been requested. The Resistance has come to Neftali to strike a deal with a shady organization, using the carnival as a distraction. They send Rey to the masquerade to keep an eye on things. After one too many drinks, the masked man all in black catches her eye and asks for a dance. But what will happen when the masks come off?

Marked - Rated E. One-shot. A/B/O. Hermione Granger's heat wasn't supposed to start for another two weeks. But that was before the intoxicating scent of an unknown alpha triggered it as they passed in the atrium. Can she make it through the rest of the day before starting her leave? And who is the mysterious alpha who smells like her perfect mate?

A Fantastic Assignment. Rated E. Projected 4 chapters. WIP. Fresh off a win from the passing of Dobby's Law, Hermione Granger is given a new assignment for her job in the Department for the Regulation and Care of Magical Creatures: track down a missing selkie that has been kidnapped from the care of Rolf Scamander. When reports of the selkie being taken to New York City show up, the ministry assigns an Auror to accompany her to the US: Draco Malfoy. Can the two of them work together in order to capture the thief and bring the selkie safely back to Britain?

The Darkside - A Dark Reylo Anthology

The Darkside is an anthology of Reylo darkfic and darkfic lite stories. We are currently in the planning stage but would expect the release in the second half of 2019.

Format

The anthology will be divided into five themes, with five-story slots per theme. To try to encourage variety, each theme will have two slots for canon verse darkfic, two slots for alternative universe darkfic, and one slot for darkfic lite (canon verse or non-canon verse).

Slots will be filled on a first come first serve basis once sign up opens.

Themes are entirely open to author interpretation. Prompts will be available but participating authors are not required to use provided prompts.

Authors will be kept anonymous with authors revealed after a set amount of time from release.

Sign up begins on March 31st, 2019 

Sign up closes on April 14th, 2019 at 11:59 pm EST

Participating authors must provide a brief summary or description of their fic to the moderators by May 22, 2019

Fandoms You Write For: MCU, Agents of SHIELD, Hannibal, The Newsroom, and I’m in the process of writing something for HBO’s Chernobyl.

Most Popular One-Shot: Depends on how you count, I guess. There’s the first fic in my Steve/Natasha (eventually Steve/Nat/Bucky) series “Cover Me” which is most popular by hits. By Kudos, it’s “The Closest I Ever Gave” which is a Hannibal shaving-kink fic.

Most Popular Multi-Chapter Story:  Far and away (and honestly, quite surprisingly) it’s my Darcy/Eddie Brock/Venom fic “A Room for Rent in the Fourth Estate.”

Favorite Story You Wrote: God. It’s so hard to pick a favorite. Whatever I’m writing at the time is always my favorite, because if I feel like it’s publishable, then that means I feel proud of myself for having accomplished something. Like... I pulled off what I’m trying to do? If that makes any kind of sense? So yeah... Right now I guess I’m really pleased with the entirety of “Friendship is Unnecessary.” Because honestly, I wrote (and am still writing) that whole 200k+ word monster completely out of order and without any kind of plan in mind, and yet somehow I wound up with a lovely overarching theme, and character arcs and I planned absolutely positively none of it.

Story You Were Nervous to Post: There have been a couple... I wrote a Reylo fic called “Out for Stars” back kind of in the post-TLJ anti-Reylo zenith and I just felt really scared to post it since I didn’t want to deal with the hate. There was also a chapter in a Hannibal fic called “Whither Must I Wander” that was literally open heart surgery porn, and I was worried it might be too much? I still wonder if it was a bit much... but then again, this is the Hannibal fandom we’re talking about. And now I’m writing a fic for HBO’s Chernobyl, which I know the fandom is a little divided on the idea of writing fic for characters based on real people. And I totally get that... but I’m nearly 30k words in so I guess I’m committed. I just really hope that people use blacklisting and the little back key on their browser if they don’t want to read it instead of coming flaming at me.

How Do You Choose Your Titles:  Poetry and song lyrics mostly. But sometimes it’s just words that come to me. And often I’ll put a definition of the word at the start of the fic. 

Do You Outline: For the bigger stuff I’ll build an outline as I go. And sometimes for the smaller things I’ll sketch things out and put them in order, but not use a real outline.

Complete: 62, counting an unpublished Hannibal fic for the upcoming Ravage Anthology, and my latest installment of “Friendship is Unnecessary” which is publishing on Monday!

In-Progress: 9. All at various stages. One is almost completely finished. A few are half done. And some are just sketchy little piles of words in my Google Docs that I occasionally feed with overwrought metaphors and shmoopy dialogue snippets.

Coming Soon: Next up is a “Friendship is Unnecessary” fic set during the five year gap in Avengers: Endgame. Angst and pining for EVERYONE! And I’m also hard at work on that Chernobyl fic, which is a little less than halfway finished.

Do You Accept Prompts: Not really. I’d like to be able to but... honestly go look at my writing updates. I can barely keep up with my own ideas and plot bunnies much less take on more from outside. But that doesn’t mean you can’t poke me with ideas. :)

Upcoming Story You Are Most Excited to Write: One thing I’ve got cooking on the back-burner is a Wanda/Vision fic that takes place post-Endgame... where they figure out how to bring Vision online without the Mind Stone, but he’s completely sans memory and personality. I’m also really excited about my Chernobyl fic, nervous as I am about publishing it. I’m playing with some really fun themes about human relationships and things that happen in crucible-situations.
