This RadioRose angst and hurt/comfort comic was inspired by this post by deadlyashesart (there's also a link to the fanfic they're writing go check it out) and this animatic. Just piecing some things together and this messy comic turned out
Side note: I've made an attempt at a sideblog for Hazbin Hotel stuff because it's getting *ahem* recurrent but tags aren't working yet and I messed it up, my impatient ass has decided to repost this comic here on my main and see what happens with the sideblog. I'll announce when I finally move there if I do at all because I'm not being very patient with it tbh

I rewatched epsiode 7 (I'm obsessed, sue me) and I noticed for the first time how sincerely Alastor is smiling with Rosie around.
Tumblr media
Like, look at him. His eyes are smiling, he almost never does that, that's how we know his smile is fake most of the time.
Tumblr media
Rosie actually manhandled Alastor, she dusted off his jacket and just grabbed him to move him around. Alastor didn't even bat an eye, he just let her do whatever she wanted. (There was also that honk sound and it was so cute)
Tumblr media
I used this once in another post, but fuck it. Rosie knows that Al is asexual. Even Alastor doesn't know that he is, there wasn't a name for it in his times. They were spending time together and she was like "this man is asexual", I love it.
Alastor and Rosie's friendship is so special to me, I need more of them in next seasons. I bet my right hand that they have sleepovers and talk shit about other overlords.

the fox (1): In the woods somewhere.
Alastor x fem!reader (sfw, platonic)
A soul that doesn't belong in Hell finds sanctuary in the Hazbin Hotel.

"To you I am nothing more than a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. To me, you will be unique in all the world."

She couldn't remember anything but a blinding light, her head throbbing with vengeance and then... she was falling.
The girl had winced, she had been confused.
Wings open but she couldn't fly. Like Icarus she fell before she was able to witness the full beauty of being alive.
The recently returned overlord had been intrigued by her unusual presence and that's probably why he hadn't killed her at once. Her poor soul felt his demonic presence almost immediately...
Why of course.
The blinding light had belonged to the car that had hit her... She was still panting from the impact, but there was no pain now. She looked behind her, a fluffy, snow-white tail moving with her.
She heard the antique voice of the radio demon. Her newly acquainted, pointy ears turned to the direction of the sound.
"Welcome to Hell little one!"
She felt like he was trying to control and dominate her mind, with a frequency he could only muster. A sudden despair seized her.
"Hell?!"
The demon got closer, his expression becoming more predatory and less curious. Her heart started beating out of her chest, but he didn't make any moves to hurt her. His eyes were shining a bright red, dead light and he was uncannily tall.
"Let me ask you again. How did you get here?"
He could see that this girl wasn't the average sinner. She looked more like a winner, not that he had ever seen one up close, but that must be how they look like.
"I... I fell..."
His smile widened, but it was not a kind one.
"You're a deer?"
"You dared to call me that...?"
A sudden instinct overtook her when she realized the possible danger and she bared her canine teeth at him.
"You do have guts for a small creature.."
His tone was mocking her, belittling her, taunting her for her naivety. She had no idea who she was talking to, neither did she seem to know where she had landed. Her deep-set eyes were trained on him, the slight tilt of her head an indication of her confusion.
Alastor smiled, his eyes shining even brighter. He seemed to enjoy this little interaction. However, the hypnotizing effect of his voice wasn't working on her. She was scared, obviously, but that wasn't enough. This foxlike soul just couldn't be a sinner. Did that make her have any advantage over him? Surely not.
At first, he was surprised that someone like her would end up in Hell, but that didn't stop him from insisting talking to her, trying to decide if her soul would be a tasty meal.
The radio demon likes a challenge. He likes messing with others.
The girl was terrified. She felt defensive and her feisty attitude, coming from innocence rather than naivety, was amusing to him.
"I'll cut you in pieces deer."
Alastor moved even closer, smiling in a twisted way.
"That's really cute coming from a weak fox such as yourself."
He was getting frustrated. He wasn't having the effect he had hoped on her... and that light she was emitting... Despite it didn't do much damage, he did feel a mild burning sensation as he kept advancing closer and closer to his prey...
Foxes are predators. Deer prey. He had learnt that the hard way, but it looked like the tables had been turned now.
Her light was growing stronger and her teeth were still bared. He had enough teeth marks like those on his body from them... from the canines.
There was a sadistic joy in his voice when he spoke next.
"Awww, you're trying to defend yourself... How funny, maybe I should eat you for lunch instead of breakfast!"
"Where am I?"
The radio demon seemed annoyed.
"In a hotel, in Hell."
Her silence was deafening. She kept staring at him with a flabbergasted look on her face.
"This is a place where sinners are rehabilitated, apparently some want to be redeemed and accepted to Heaven. It is under control of Charlotte Morningstar, princess of Hell. You'll probably see her shortly anyway."
His gentleman like demeanor was a stark contrast to the violence he had seemed to be inspiring just moments ago.
"I see... Maybe if I stay here, I'll have easier access back home..."
But where was her home now? This had to be a nightmare... everything felt so surreal, but a knowledge deep within her was slowly coming to the surface. She hadn't made it when the car had hit her.
The demon's expression behind his eyes shifted to a more cold one. He was a breath away now, so that he could speak directly into her perked up, fox ears.
"You won't ever get back, that's not how it works. A home you say?"
He snorted.
"Your stay here is for eternity."
"I... I am not like you. You're the.. the evil one. I did nothing to deserve Hell!"
Her words had a childish desperation in them. Alastor was curious again.
"You claim that you're not a sinner?"
"I... I do, actually. I was... a... I'm a human... or at least I was one until a few... days ago??"
Winners never remember the details of their death. Everything fades into a blissful oblivion for them. Sinners, on the other hand, are forever left with a vivid memory of their last moments on Earth, no matter how painful they had been. This fox girl didn't seem to fit either category. The oblivious part maybe, but not with any blissfulness evident.
She was feeling lost. There was no point in trying anything. She was dead and she was in Hell. That's what a life kindness had earned her?!
The radio effect in Alastor's voice died down as he became more genuine towards her.
"A person doesn't end up here without being a sinner, so how is it that you're here? You certainly died my dear, but didn't you live a sinful life? No committing atrocious deeds? Such cruel judgment for you to be put here, even if you're half as pure as you appear to be!"
"Have you been here for a long time?"
"Indeed I have little fox! Long enough to have built quite a reputation for myself I would say! Hahaha! But don't you worry your pretty head over it..."
Her big eyes were studying him, but she still felt scared and betrayed from above.
"I'm Hell's most popular radio host, I've been around for years. Don't tell me you prefer the voice of modern podcasts..."
"I used to like vintage stuff when I was... alive."
His chest swelled up with pride and he adjusted his bow tie. Alastor seemed satisfied with her answer.
"Really now? That's a new one, I supposed people didn't like older things in this century. I was a a famous radio host as I mentioned before, not only in death but also during my life!"
For a moment, the overlord was genuinely interested in their conversation. She was a mystery to unravel, maybe even preserve, but he shouldn't even think about it... it would be too nice of him.
"A radio host? You come from... the thirties or something?"
"All the way back to the roaring twenties, my dear little one! I was broadcasting from Louisiana to all of New Orleans."
This girl was so easy to impress and her reactions were feeding his ego.
"That's where I'm originally from! How... how did you die?"
She couldn't have known that's not a thing people go around asking each other in Hell. She was just eager to form any kind of connection, so that she could feel less vulnerable and alone. Still, if Alastor's smile could fade, it would have when he heard her question.
"Not a pleasant tale, I can assure you... and it's not like we just met dear!"
"S- sorry in that case, it's just that... we both lived in New Orleans and we're both forest... spirits?"
Alastor tried to be mad at her, but he found himself unable of doing so. He was amused by her, getting apologetic so fast. The demon begun gently taking the conservation away from the sensitive subject.
"Well, yes. We are, but how does it matter if I'm a powerful demon that has deer characteristics... and you're a lil fox with some angelic traits?"
"You're self assured."
"Haha! No. I'm self aware."
A pause. Charlie appeared and Alastor slipped away.
Tumblr media
"I died in the woods."
She had sneaked into his radio station, quick and quite like a true feline. Alastor had been unfazed. Her unexpected visit hadn't taken him by surprise not one bit.
"That's unfortunate."
His gaze was softer now, he was determined to find out what other conditions of her death eerily overlapped with his.
"Take a seat young one. Sooo, what happened to you out there?"
She had been spending all her time in her room, trying to bring back her memories. The faces were still blurred, her own name unknown. She was just a white fox with a particularly fluffy tail. That's what they had been calling her in the hotel, Fox, as if it were an actual name.
"I was... I was trying to save a fox cub that had strayed to the road..."
"You died trying to do something good?"
Alastor was puzzled. The more information he gathered about her, the more obvious it became that she had absolutely no place in Hell.
A sniffle escaped her and she hid her face, ears lowered. He felt a pang of sympathy that he immediately drowned.
"Such a noble way to go..."
The radio demon had gone for a sarcastic tone, but he had failed. His initial urge to corrupt that innocent, fragile creature had left him.
"I keep seeing lights... they could be the headlights of a car, a truck maybe..."
At that point, he felt a bit sorry for her, yet he wasn't going to cave in and show his real feelings.
"Let me put together what you have told me so far. A sudden light hit you while you were trying to save a fox cub and everything went dark after that?"
"Y- yeah..."
Her voice was small, her gaze averted and fingers fumbling with her tail. He felt a primal urge to protect her purity from all the cruelty that existed in the world.
But it was too late. Some driver had taken her life and Alastor hadn't exactly been an altruist while alive. But maybe, had she been born earlier and not in the nineties, he could have been the one behind the wheel. He could have been the one who saw her trying to rescue the baby fox. He would have stopped. She would have survived.
But who could guarantee that he wouldn't have turned her into another pretty corpse afterwards? It would have been so convenient, an empty road in the woods, already close to his hiding spot...
Would have, could have, should have...
He stared directly into her moist eyes.
"Do you remember anything that happened after that?"
"The fox cub died... I remember standing with it by our bodies."
That hit home. He had to watch his body getting mangled by the canines, even after his soul had been dragged out of it. He had deserved the karma. She hadn't.
"The fox died?"
It was enraging.
Tumblr media
It was night. First, she heard the footsteps, then the sound of hooves- strong and unmistakable. Soon the sound of static and distorted voices filled the air.
A darkness set upon her room.
"Alastor?"
A growl.
"You don't act like you want to be redeemed you know."
A low grumbling.
She was scared shitless, but she was already in Hell and if he tried to get too close, he'd get burned by her light. His dominating aura became less pronounced as she sat there calmly.
"You want to join me on my midnight snacking?"
This new activity intrigued the radio demon enough for his demonic form to give way to his usual self.
"Is that a way of saying you're sneaking food in bed?"
She smiled and chuckled, the sound carefree and unguarded, the sound of a child sharing something she likes with a friend.
Alastor sat at the edge of the bed.
"Do you always terrorise the residents at night?"
He tried to laugh but all that came out was a sigh. The girl had noticed that his permanent smile rarely reached his eyes.
"You look tired."
Of course she could see in the dark.
He shrugged.
"I have been able to recall more details about my life..."
He tilted his head and got comfy on the bed, kicking his hooves and stealing her snacks as she started with her story.
"I was... camping with some friends from college... I had been hiking when I saw the cub in the middle of the street. Oh lord, I was so young... I-"
Her eyes welled up with tears and her voice got stuck in her throat. Surprisingly enough, Alastor was a good listener.
"You were indeed very young, with so much to live for. How could you just go save the fox at the cost of your life? You're much more selfless than I thought."
The girl broke down in sobs. She hugged herself, the little noises she was making were like those of a wounded fox whimpering. He now knew why she had that particular form. Despite that, things just kept not adding up. A young, selfless and innocent soul should've been in Heaven, made into an angel with fancy wings and all.
The radio demon wanted to comfort her. He patted her on the back.
"There, there, there's no need for crying, dearest! Smile! Scare your troubles away! I'm sure Heaven can't just abandon a nice, young lady such as yourself in this dreadful place! "
Her doubts about Alastor slowly faded away and she crushed into him, wetting his shirt with her tears as she did. Even though it had been the last thing he had expected, it wasn't unpleasant. The demon didn't push her away, his arms loosely wrapped around her as she curled up in his lap, crying rivers. She was burning him, but he didn't care to even mention that fact.
"You're safe little one."
"T- thank you scary deer..."
He started to lightly stroke her hair, while she continued whimpering and mourning, her soft body fitting perfectly against him.
"See how much of a different demon I can be from the average? Instead of looking for a fight, or trying to make a deal, I'm offering my help for free."
"You're a good friend..."
He knew he better not get attached, but he felt pleased that he had earned her trust without an ulterior motif. It was strangely rewarding.
"I'll miss you... I have this feeling that I'll be gone soon."
"You're happy about this?"
She nodded.
"But if you're going, then I guess... you could do me a favor?"
His smile finally reached his eyes.
"Don't forget our little moments, okay?"
"Okay... But you owe me a story about yourself in return..."
A kiss on her forehead had been his answer, as he quietly tacked her to bed and left.
Tumblr media
She never appeared for breakfast the following day. Nor at his radio station.
He knew what that meant. She was were she belonged now. She had passed through the portal that he never would.
Silence felt more empty now, a void where she used to be. Alastor walked to the bed she had slept in and lied down. He closed his eyes and tried to clear his head, but she continuously popped up in his thoughts. Eventually, he sighed. He was at peace knowing things ended well for her. The demon chuckled to himself.
Days passed, but he always seemed to be looking for something. It seemed like he was hoping to spot her somewhere. He knew that one way or the other, he would need to accept that he wasn't going to see her ever again... Unless he somehow ended up in Heaven, but he had never thought about that before anyway...
Was it a valid reason to want to get redeemed so that he could visit her up there?

Alastor's disappearance (Part 1)
Part 1 of a fanfiction I'm writing! There's not enough Rosie angst in this world so I have to do it myself. I've never written fanfiction before, by the way. Don't hurt me if it's bad LOL. I wanted to post this on AO3 but realized I didn't have an AO3 account and they said it might take me till April to get one and I don't wanna wait...
Based on a post I made yesterday.
Part 2
-----
It had been five months since Rosie had last seen her dear friend, Alastor. This wasn’t too out of the ordinary coming from the Radio Demon, but something deep in Rosie’s gut told her something was gravely wrong. Despite this, she had a colony filled with cannibals to feed, and couldn’t waste her time worrying about something as simple as a ‘gut feeling’.
Rosie sat at the front desk of Franklin and Rosie’s Emporium. It was a beautiful day—at least as beautiful as it got in Hell—and the emporium was packed. Rosie was aiding a customer, unaware her business partner was standing right behind her.
Franklin leaned in close. “Rosie, I believe you should step aside with me for a moment,” she whispered.
Rosie paused, turning her head slightly before bringing her attention back to the customer on the other side of the counter. “Mrs. Odette, I’m so sorry, but I must cut our consultation short. I insist you take my card and come back soon!” she said politely, handing the fellow cannibal her business card before waving a hand, gesturing for her to leave.
Rosie followed Franklin away from the crowd, every so often glancing back at the long line that waited for her return. “What is it, my dear? I’m quite busy.”
“It’s about Alastor. He’s gone missing,” Franklin answered abruptly. She spoke quietly as if exchanging top-secret information.
Rosie laughed, waving her hand dismissively. “Oh darling, don’t be so ridiculous!”
“I’m not! Everyone’s talking about it. He hasn’t been seen anywhere, and his radio show hasn’t been updated in weeks! You, of all people, should know how much he loves that show, he wouldn’t miss a day, at least without telling anyone!” Franklin went silent, and a thought crept into her head. “Oh, I wonder if he’s been killed..!”
Rosie’s eyebrows furrowed in worry. After a moment of thought, she spoke, “I’m sure he’s fine, darling.”
“I see… Very well then, I just wanted to let you know. I’m aware you two are very good friends.”
“Yes, and I’m certain he’s quite alright. He’s most likely just taking a break from the radio scene!” Rosie replied, knowing deep down that even she didn’t believe a word she was saying. “Besides, if he was killed, the murderer would’ve made a big show about taking down the mighty Radio Demon, would they not? As far as I know, that hasn’t happened yet!”
Franklin nodded softly. “You’re right, you’re right… If that had happened, we’d have something a lot worse to worry about.”
“Correct. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a job to attend to.” Rosie curtsied as a gesture of farewell before returning to the front desk of the emporium.
-----
Later that night, Rosie tossed and turned in her bed, unable to sleep. She couldn’t stop worrying about Alastor, just the thought of him brought an ache in her chest. After a while of fighting with her internal dialogue back and forth, she groaned in defeat. She sat up and reached for the small radio that was on her bedside table, a gift from Alastor to show his appreciation towards her. Her hands fiddled with the dials as she turned the frequency to Alastor’s radio show; There was nothing but static.
Rosie sighed, unsure why she thought that would work. He didn’t even broadcast this late at night. She was desperate. All she wanted to hear was her dear friend’s voice, so she could know he was alright, know if he was hurt, know if he was alive. She silently cursed Franklin’s name, frustrated with her putting the thought of Alastor’s death in her mind.
Rosie didn’t get any sleep that night. Or the next night, or the next.
-----
A few weeks passed, and she didn't get better. Franklin walked up to Rosie, handing her a cup of fresh coffee. “You look like hell, darling. Have you been getting any sleep?”
Rosie sat down on the couch, exhausted from her terrible sleep schedule. She took a huge sip of coffee, but that didn’t do much. “I’m fine, Franklin… I just… Would you mind taking the morning shift today?” She brought a hand to her head, feeling slightly lightheaded.
“Okay, I can do that! But you’re obviously not fine, dear. The bags under your eyes have gotten worse, this isn’t like you!”
Rosie’s eyes drifted toward the radio that was placed on the coffee table in front of her, and Franklin immediately connected the dots. “Oh, my dear, is this about Alastor’s disappearance?”
Rosie did not respond. Franklin sighed. She sat down next to her and slowly pulled her into a hug, and she could feel Rosie shiver as a lump caught in her throat.
“I don’t know where he could’ve gone… Maybe he is dead, Franklin,” Rosie mumbled, burying her face in her friend’s shoulder. “I don’t want to cry, I don't want to worry. He’d probably laugh if I did, but… Fuck, I miss him.”

A Weapon? A Monster? A Child.
Regressor! Alastor and CG! Rosie <3 Word count: 2193
Tumblr media
He could hear them. Their mocking, jeering voices at his new found problem. The great, terrifying Alastor a puppet to something else, how little in control he was of anything. He couldn’t shake them out of his head. Every second filled with their reverberating laughs and yet, Alastor could do nothing but endure.
He winced as he tried to stand, hands shaking and bones weary. Oh how cowardly he must’ve looked, barely able to stand on his two feet, hiding behind his shadow as he retreats to the one place he found solace. His radio tower.
And not even that eased his ever growing fear. Whatever was left of it stood before him, a grim sight that made his already unwell state much, much worse. It served as another reminder of his failure. To see the very thing that kept him sane all these years defiled in such a manner. He truly had no idea how to react. Part of him wanted to go stark raving mad, and the other….
He slowly, unsteadily made his way through the wreckage that lay in front of it, his body ringing with each sting that came. It also didn’t help that he was regretfully known as something he hated to his core. He was a little. Such a pathetic aspect that he, much to his gratitude, managed to keep hidden from everyone else. Oftentimes even himself until it caught up to him once in a blue moon. No one knew and no one would know if he could keep it up the way he had the past few decades. However, that seemed much more unlikely given his current situation. The attack was so easily avoidable and yet, he still got hurt. He could’ve been killed and how he so narrowly avoided Adam’s final blow was beyond him. Now, he would’ve actually preferred it because then he wouldn’t have to face the aftermath that he knew was yet to come.
It terrified him. To know of how much weakness he was showing. He could only hope, no, beg that no one saw and once he made his way inside, he exhaled in relief. He was alone. A disgrace, but alone nonetheless. Despite his rather embarrassing secret, he willed himself not to let it affect him. Not the fact that a huge chunk of his prized room was missing altogether, let alone the mess that was the inside of it. Reaching his table, the pain stumped him once again, making him fall to his knees. His smile wavered and he bared his teeth as he found himself underneath it. Sighing strained in relief, the safety of the confined space only worsened his struggle between headspaces.
On one hand he just wouldn’t allow himself to, and on the other, he had no control over it. His body ached inside and out, his heart panged heavily on the fact that he was losing it, and underneath all of it, he felt so…scared. He was a fawn caught in a wolf’s den. A little boy hiding from the bastard he shared a bloodline with, hoping to God he wouldn’t find him. A cornered animal and with that, it was all too much.
He couldn’t handle it anymore.
He slipped.
********
The fight may have been over, but that didn’t stop Rosie from feeling, at the very least, a little concerned. It wasn’t just the fear of losing everything she’d known that ailed her. It was losing the people she cared about. Really, the one person she cared about the most. And since it was finished, she hadn’t seen him at all, not even once and it was starting to worry her.
Alastor was Rosie’s best friend, and she just couldn’t bear to lose him. Not like that.
Looking over at the celebration behind her, she smiled fondly. She couldn’t be more happy for the unlikely group of residents, despite hardly knowing most of them. Charlie was such a darling, how could she not? Even as they stood under a building in desperate need of fixing, she still looked so happy. So proud. It was…admirable, to say the least. To watch her and her friends be so passionate about their achievements warmed her heart.
Still though, as she turned her head in thought, something was…off. She could sense it even if she wasn’t sure what exactly “it” was.
Speaking of which, there was one thing missing from such a display of victor, or rather, one person. Someone who would be even more supportive than she was. Where was Alastor?
The rest seemed to pick up on that and Charlie asked the same thing as well. The rest kind of shrugged with mutterings of “I’m not sure” or “Last I saw was during the fight, so it beats me.” That didn’t help much in easing her anxieties. As they began looking, some albeit more willingly than the rest, she sighed. Her eyebrow raised, she took off to look for the demon. After all, she of all people ought to know where he was.
She walked up to the one place she figured he might be. Everywhere else came out to be unsuccessful, so there was really one place left. Holding the hem of her skirt as she climbed up the stairs, Rosie walked curiously to the radio tower. Nothing out of the ordinary there, disregarding the very obvious debris. She couldn’t see anything, but if her nose and ears served her right, something was very, very wrong. The scent of blood seeped from beyond the door making her feel oddly nauseous for once, her stomach churning at what could be waiting for her. Thinking better of it, she steeled herself and went inside.
The blood trailed over to his desk at a concerning amount. Stepping over the rubble, her gut wrenching at the sight of something he cared so much about ruined without a second thought, she called out gently.
“Alastor? Sweetie, you in here?” She craned her neck, unable to see anything. “Everyone’s been looking for you.” She stepped carefully, avoiding the coat rack that now lay on the floor just waiting to trip some unsuspecting person. Suddenly, a low sound of strained breathing rumbled from his form, an ear perking up at hearing her come in. That gave it away to Rosie as she approached the desk even closer, her feet just inches away from his crumpled body.
And that’s when he found him.
Crouching down, she saw a not quite unfamiliar sight. The all powerful Radio Demon’s smile gone, eyes squeezed shut as he lay curled into himself. Rosie knew what this was, she’d seen it before, but definitely not to this extent. Her head cocked to the side, she whispered.
“Alastor..?”
Eyes nervously squeezed open, big, wide, doe eyes pouring into her as they tried to hide his fear to no avail. Glassy from tears hiding behind him that threatened to pour at any moment. Rosie’s heart squeezed in a way it very rarely did. Not unfamiliar to her, but the circumstances she found him certainly were. At the sight of her, the little shuddered, a pleading look on his face.
“Oh..” Rosie gasped, crawling to his side and reaching out her hand, holding the side of his head. “You poor dear, is this where you’ve been all this time?”
He didn’t have the words to respond, flinching slightly at her touch. Strained, he nodded his head slowly, uncurling himself slightly at her asking to see what happened. God, it hurt so much. He just wanted his mama, even though he knew she wouldn’t come. He sniffled, choking back a sob that escaped his throat.
Rosie clicked her tongue and moved closer to pull him into her arms. Seeing him like this threatened to make her cry as well, wishing so desperately she would've come sooner. How long had he been like this? So scared and in pain. Part of her wanted to shake her head at his stubbornness, but she knew it wasn’t the time. The fawn just about broke as he pressed his head into her chest, giving in to the pain that rang throughout his body. His broken cries barely muffled by his best friend’s vise-like hold.
“Oh my sweet thing, it’s alright.” She whispered, moving instinctively to brush the hair out of his face and pulling a handkerchief from her skirt. “I got you. Why don’t we get you out of here, hmm?” She tilted her head down at him, feeling him nod against her chest. “Now just hold still for a moment. It’s gonna hurt a little, but it’ll be quick, okay? Take a deep breath.” She inhaled deeply, crawling out from under the table and moving to pick him up.
Alastor groaned at the motion, wincing as Rosie avoided his injuries and lifted him into her arms like a bride. Normally he would’ve laughed at such a feat of strength, the thought distracting him from the sharp jolt in his wounds. “There we go, you did a swell job baby! Such a brave boy.” Rosie walked out of the room, making a mental note to clean up his blood from the floor later and thought about where to go from here. She certainly didn’t want to leave him here, nor draw any attention from the others. There was always her emporium, even if it was a bit away. Yeah, that was a good idea. He’d be less...manic later on without anyone else knowing. And she was more certain he’d be safe there. That was all that mattered.
*******
The baby sat on the toilet, curiously watching as Rosie rolled up her sleeves and went to work taking off his jacket. It was clear that Alastor needed stitches at the very least, if not something more later on. He didn’t seem to have any more serious injuries underneath, but it still didn’t look good. The other threaded the needle after cleaning him up the best she could and knelt down in front of him.
“Okay kiddo, now you’re not gonna like this, but I gotta do it. So take a big breath for me and we’ll get this over with, sound good?” Rosie admitted sympathetically. Piecing the skin together, she went to work suturing him up. Funnily enough, she’d done this plenty of times before, so really, it went by much quicker than she anticipated.
“And...done! Look at you, being such a strong boy. That’s my Alastor alright! Isn’t it?” She cooed, laughing when he bleated happily in response. It wasn’t a common noise, however, it was one characteristic of his deerish nature he didn’t seem to despise. It was…well it was pretty damn cute. To the both of them and especially Rosie.
Once again she picked him up and carried him into the room. Judging by his increasingly longer yawns, she knew he had to be exhausted. The day didn’t even feel like just a day and for Alastor it must’ve felt like a week at the very least. Discarding his tattered suit, she looked through her chest of drawers and pulled out a pair of fuzzy pajamas. Rosie pulled them over his worn-out, shockingly lanky frame; he looked as if he hadn’t eaten in days. She’d have to do something about that later, she thought. Ruffling the top of his head, she watched as the little one rubbed tiredly at his ever-so drooping eyes and walked across the room to turn out the light. And following that, she turned on the phonograph to its lowest volume. A familiar lullaby flooding the air. He whined slightly at her walking away, earning him a little tease from the other. “Hey now, I’m gonna be right back. I’m not going anywhere.” She sat next to him on the bed and put an arm around his shoulders. “See?”
The fawn turned to look at the woman and blinked slowly. Not quite registering her reappearance until he felt her hand. Alastor huffed, tiredness clouding his mind and tucked his head into her shoulder. Rosie moved to pull the covers down and laid him down underneath them. Dried tear tracks stained his cheeks and right as he was about to fall asleep he turned his head up at her. The same pleading gaze as before, asking her not to leave him. Her hand to her chest, she drew in a breath.
“Of course my little fawn, I’ll stay. Is that what you’re asking?” Alastor cooed, the smaller holding out his hand. Rosie smiled and took his hand in hers, running her thumb across the top of his fingers. She hummed alongside the phonograph and watched as he drifted off to sleep, breathing lightly as if the day had never even happened. Rosie kissed the top of his forehead, lingering for a minute more before whispering.
“Sweet dreams darling, I’ll be here when you wake up. Nothing can hurt you now, I promise.”
Having it all over with, Rosie was happy. It may take time for it all to heal, but at least in the moment, her friend, her little fawn was okay and for her, that was enough.

What if charlie and alastor grew up togethr ?
For that to happen, Lucifer would have had to know about Alastor from the beginning*. I don't think he would have taken Alastor away from Nicaise, and she wouldn't have wanted to live in Hell, even if it did mean living in luxury. The guilt and the feelings of betrayal are still there - it certainly doesn't help his crumbling relationship with Lilith - but Lucifer wants to keep an eye on his friend and their child. So he peeks in on them on Earth, occasionally pops in to grant a couple small miracles or gifts. Never staying long just in case Heaven catches on.
Then Nicaise is murdered by her employer. And there is no way in hell that Lucifer is allowing that fucking piece of shit to keep her child! Lucifer books it over as soon as he can and finds Alastor sleeping in a shed and, oh, he is not happy. He doesn't kill Nicaise's murderer. It's enough to flash his wings, horns out, spitting flames as he informs the man that Hell is real and he's bound to it before disappearing with Alastor**.
So now, in just the span of a few days, Alastor: has witnessed his mother's violent murder, has been effectively kidnapped by her murderer, was forced to sleep in a shed that smells like dogs, found out that angels and demons are real and that his father is one, has been whisked away to live in another world that transforms him into a monster as soon as he enters it, and is now expected to get used to living with his mysterious father as well as a new step-mother and half-sister. Needless to say, it's a lot.
So naturally, he's a bit shaken when he first arrives in the Morningstar household. He doesn't speak and spends most of his time shut up in his new room which is way bigger than his old house was. Lucifer's awkwardly trying to balance giving him the space he needs and make him feel welcome. Lilith isn't terribly thrilled with the situation, but... Well, she seems to have a lot of compassion for her people. I don't think she would really turn out a traumatized child, but she's definitely going through some complicated emotions of her own.
Charlie has none of the reservations the grown ups have. In fact, she's suuuuuuuuuuper excited to meet her new little brother! Even if he doesn't look that much littler than her***. So she slips into his room, tries to drag him out of bed, pesters him, and generally just acts like an excitable, friendly child. As much as Lucifer and Lilith try to get her to give Alastor space and time to adjust, she keeps coming back. Her little brother looks so sad and she doesn't want him to be sad! She wants to help him feel happy!
She remains persistent, telling Alastor all about her home and family and insisting that he'll like it soon because her mom and dad are really nice and she loves him already and he'll love it there in Hell and...
She stops as she sees the tears start to roll down Alastor's face. Charlie begins to panic, thinking she's said something mean by accident, but then Alastor sobs out that he misses his maman and just wants to go home! Suddenly Charlie feels really bad. She doesn't know how to make things better. So she just stays. Sits next to him. Doesn't leave him alone. Sheds a few tears of her own.
Once Alastor's cried it out and tired himself out a bit, Charlie asks him what his mom was like. They spend all night talking about her. When Lucifer goes to check in on Alastor later, he finds both kids passed out on the floor in a pile of blankets.
It's still rough going from there on out, but Charlie plays a large part in helping Alastor heal after everything. Some things still stay the same. Lucifer and Lilith's marriage still struggles, she disappears, Lucifer pulls away from now both of his children in his depression. And Alastor still has a lot of anger. He doesn't really agree with Charlie's goal of redeeming sinners because he fully believes that some people just aren't worth redeeming.
Still, he goes with her whenever she searches for injured sinners after the exterminations. He and Vaggie actually get along a bit better here. They still snipe at each other quite a bit, but there's an almost friendly undercurrent to it. And although he doesn't really believe in the goal of redeeming sinners, he does go along with the Happy Hotel project just to help Charlie out. Doesn't stop him from mocking the idea every step of the way.
This version of Alastor hasn't really developed the Radio Demon persona. He doesn't exactly need to, given he's the Prince of Hell. But he's still Alastor and still cultivates a terrifying reputation for himself. Charlie's grown up with this Alastor though and knows the man behind the curtain. She's not always happy with how quick he is to suggest violence as a solution, but she also knows that when he sees a weaker demon being preyed upon by stronger ones, he'll step in.
He's also protective of Charlie, and usually takes it upon himself to step in and do things that he sees as necessary but he knows she wouldn't like. For example, after finding out how Valentino treated her when she went to the studio, Alastor pays his own visit in private and makes sure Valentino knows if he tries to pull any shit like that again, Alastor will pick apart his soul piece by wretched piece and scatter it across all the rings of hell. Charlie knows he did something when the next time she sees Valentino, the pimp screams bloody murder and throws himself out the nearest window.
(*Just imagine Lucifer, wings out, attempting to drunkenly climb out of Nicaise's window, only to get stuck, give up, and slump over on the floor.)
(**The old bastard spends the rest of his life donating his wealth to build orphanages and hospitals, helping the poor, and basically trying to buy his way into Heaven. It doesn't work and he's slaughtered during his first extermination in hell.)
(***Charlie at this point should be roughly a century old, but to be honest, I'm not entirely sure what that means for a half-angel half-demon like her. Did she age at a typical human rate until she reached young adulthood and then just stopped? Or did she just age very very slowly? I'm going with the second for the sake of this AU. I also have this theory that Lilith never actually died, and was transformed into a unique sort of demon simply by entering primordial Hell. And something similar happens to young Alastor when Lucifer brings him home.)

So it's basically established that Alastors staff is the source of a lot of his power, right? Like, as soon as Adam breaks it, Alastors radio voice breaks, his kaiju form disappears, and he can't do anything but run away.
What does it mean, then, that he handed it off to Charlie in cannibal town for a few minutes so she could sing her song? What kind of display of trust is that? He's clearly uncomfortable without it, taking it back the very moment it doesn't look like she needs it anymore. Is it just that he knows that Charlie can't really hurt him? That if it came down to it he could call in his favor to get his staff back? Is it because he's surrounded by no one but Rosie and her cannibals? He feels safe enough to let his guard down in the closest thing he has to a home in hell. It's the second most vulnerable we ever see him, and he does it so casually. What kind of trust is implied in that simple action?

Al’s got 4 levels of comfort with physical interaction. There’s “I can do this all day!”, “Acceptable.”, “Pushing it.”, and then just straight up “No.”.

platonic radiorose dynamic where alastor seeks comfort in rosie because she reminds him of his mom, which brings out alastor’s humanity and vulnerability, which in turn disturbs him deeply
