Since this will likely be a repeat of the books I put in the ask about horror books, I will give you books in a plethora of genres for fun. also think of this as a recommendation post more than a tier ranking so I can write down books I don't get to talk about without having to determine which I like more because I like them all! and even more! I'll give you 15 books because god do I read books but rarely do I talk about them on here
thanks for the tag @thewolvesof1998 - I hope your move is going well!!

It felt like I read a lot more this year, but looking back at previous years, not by much! What really happened is I joined not one, but TWO book clubs - one with work and one with friends. It's definitely helping me explore outside of my normal tastes, and I've found some great stuff.
In 2023, I branched away from audiobooks and into ebooks in the interest of not listening to fairy smut on my speaker, and instead reading it on my phone as god intended.
I finally started a GoodReads account, but I'll probably still do these yearly round-ups here on tumblr. But now I can more easily endorse (or roast the fairy smut) items on my my reading list.
Hi Sarah! I was wondering if you have read the book “Beartown” by Fredrik Backman or heard of it? If you have not, I wanted to HIGHLY recommend it!!! This is not something I would usually read and I feel like no synopsis will do it justice…it is just so unbelievably good. Heartbreaking and beautiful. It was my only 5 star read last year. I just finished the final book in the trilogy today and it wrecked me. I cried!!! And I never cry while reading. Anyway, I needed to share 🩵🩵
Hi!!! I did read that one and I recall enjoying it but I had no idea it was a trilogy! I only read the first one.
the complete list of the 68 books i read this year.
i set my goal as 52 books to read in 2022 (one book per month) and i’m very happy that i achieved that! in 2021 i read 26 books, which was very impressive for me, so the fact that i’ve read more than twice that this year is incredible.
