Do you know or think any of the past Halloween events will rerun? Like “Terror is Trending” or “Spectral Soirée”? Cause I wanna know the plots of those and maybe play through them since I joined the game late, but I’m not sure if they’ll rerun at this point

I HOPE so, the second Halloween event is still probably my favorite! (it's just. peak non-main Twst content. everyone is so ridiculous and it's so delightful.) the way they've been doing it though has been to rerun the previous year's Halloween event and then the new one, so Eng probably won't be getting those first two events again anytime soon. :( if you're okay with just watching them for the story, your best bet is probably to look up a playthrough of them on YouTube. just make sure it has the ending rhythmics, they both had super cute ones!

Eng sometimes does things differently than JP though, and I think there's been a bit of an influx of new players to both versions lately? so one or both might decide to do a big rerun at some other point in the year! or they might just start rotating Halloween events or something now that they have four of 'em. :U I admit, I do kinda hope that they rerun just so I can try to get that ONE Scary Monsters card I'm missing...please Twst...I just need one more...

A bit after the STYX incident, Riddle started dating a guy (imagine a regular NPC).

Riddle was incredibly anxious, but considered this a victory, a sign that he was healing and acting like a teenager. He asked Cater, Ace and Vil for tips and prepared a whole study guide on how to be a good boyfriend, though.

After a week or two of just hanging out during lunch and chatting, the couple decided to organize an actual date.

They settled for an afternoon at a local coffee shop. Riddle was so happy.

And then the guy stood him up.

It was okay. An emergency dormhhead meeting was called ten minutes later so he would have to cancel things anyway. But still...

Now, just to set things up, of the cast of known students, the only ones that knew about the date were Heartslabyul (obviously), the Octotrio (they were shoving vouchers at Riddle's face subtly giving hints about using Mostro Lounge as a date spot) the Pop Music Club, Vil, Rook, Idia (Azul told him) and the first years.

Curious (and worried) about the situation, Kalim and Vil asked Riddle about the date during the meeting. Malleus was personally offended and Azul was feeling so generous he even invited the group over to Monstro Lounge (everyone except Riddle had to pay, though).

Interestingly enough, the school was really quiet that day, and not even Crowley knew the reason for calling the meeting...

You see, tuns out the date never actually cared for Riddle, it was just a prank.

The plan was to claim an emergency had happened ("I lost a book in the abandoned mines, and my friend needs it to study for a test next week!"), Riddle would volunteer to go fetch the book by himself like the stubborn housewarden that he is, and the date would go to the coffee shop to reserve their seats.

Except the guy wouldn't come back, using the permission slip to to go to Sage Island's beach with a few other friends, certain that Riddle would be too busy fighting the monsters in the mine (or overblotting) to realize something was wrong.

It was a perfect plan! If they were actually ABLE to keep a secret, or weren't up against Riddle's friends...

Cater had already done a background check of thr guy as soon as he started talking to Riddle, with Chen'ya and Lillia also helping out. Trey tipped Rook off, and don't get me started on the first years, who went a step further and asked Ortho to hack the guy's social media...

The date was attacked by the first years and a few cauldrons before he could even leave the school, while the beach party was ruined by the Tweels and a stampede of Caters...

The rest of the cast was kept mostly in the dark, with only a vague message of "Rids is sad, cheer him up pls, we're busy RN. Ttyl XOXO." from Cater. Idia, thinking Riddle was having a social anxiety crisis over the date, called a dormhead meeting by hacking Crowley's phone, hoping this was a good enough excuse to cancel the event.

Needless to say the "boyfriend" and his friends didn't last for long after everyone ELSE got the memo... Vil and Leona can be a SCARY duo, but angry Malleus and Idia are even WORSE!

I don't think this is exactly what you wanted, but regardless I hope it's not disappointing lol. I decided to go with the direction of them being mad at the reader for 'flirting' with someone other than them, so uh... sorry if you wanted them to be 'loving' yanderes haha

Also, thalassophobic Y/N with the octatrio is something I 100% want to do in the future :)

You had gotten almost no sleep last night. Maaaaaaybe watching horror movies with Ace and Grim wasn't a great idea knowing you had school the next day.

The day went by painfully slowly.

When it eventually became lunchtime, you were so thankful... maybe getting some food in you would help kick this exhaustion...

"(Y/N), you ok?" Deuce asked. "You look tired..."

"Yeah... Ace, Grim, and I were watching horror movies last night." You explained.

"Yeah! (Y/N) was up all night, shakin' and cryin'!" Grim said.

"That's projection and you know it, Grim." You glared at the cat monster. "I'm only so tired because the three of us were up until three in the morning. Grim was the one who was, as he said, shaking and crying."

You yawned. You didn't think too much of it, yawning is a pretty natural thing to do when tired...

Oh, poor you. You had no idea what that would lead to.

"So yeah, we watched that B-movie Idia talked about during Halloween, Creepy Hallow or whatever. It was pretty good, actually. Not that scary, though. So we watched some more scary movies and scared ourselves half to death, and went to sleep... jeez, I'm so tired..."

"You should, um, go to bed early tonight! I think that'd do you some good!" Deuce said.

Then, two people appeared behind Deuce. They were so quiet it was almost like they'd materialized out of nothing.

"Heeeeeeey, Mackerel, Shrimpy! How's it going~?"

"Greetings, (Y/N). Hello, Deuce. How are you two doing this afternoon? Enjoying your food?"

Oh great, it's those two.

"We saw you two were chattin', thought we'd drop in to see what you were talking about!" Floyd gave a disingenuous smile.

"Yes, yes, and then we saw you..." Jade paused for a moment. "Well, I'm sure you know what we saw you do."

"We saw you showing off your mouth to Macky here..." Floyd looked slightly angry. "Care to explain what you two were doin'?"

"...talking...?" You said, confused as to what the pair were insinuating.

"If you were just talking, then may I ask why you showed off your mouth to him?" Jade asked you.

"I was just yawning, I got barely any sleep last night." You responded, still confused.

Jade and Floyd looked at each other, as if doubting what you said.

Then, Floyd placed his hands on Deuce's shoulders, again with a disingenuous smile on his face.

"Say, Macky, why don't you and I take a nice walk together?" He asked. "You're welcome to come along too, if you want, Shrimpy."

"I think it'd be beneficial for you to come along, (Y/N)." Jade told you.

"A walk, you say?" Deuce asked. "I get what you're sayin'... I'll take a 'walk' with you, I bet it'll be lovely." He smirked. Like, he did that smirk. The one he does when he wants to/is about to fight someone.

"A-and I'll come to, I guess..." You said.

When the four of you entered the hallway, you felt like you already knew what was about to happen.

Deuce looked like he was ready to fight, but one painful-looking kick to the chest from Floyd and he was down. You cringed. It made you feel that weird, sympathetic feeling in your gut and tailbone...

"Shoulda been ready to fight, BASTARD." Floyd angrily said.

"Oh, but do go easy on him, Floyd... after all, (Y/N) was the one who attempted to initiate a courtship ritual, weren't they?" Jade seemed to be very upset with you.

"...ehehe... you're right, Jade! Shrimpy was the one trying to get it on with Macky! Not the other way around! They opened their mouth all wide tellin Macky they wanted to mate with him..."

"I'll hold them steady for you." Jade said, placing his hands on either side of your face.

Floyd punched you as hard as he could in the face.

You had no idea what was going on. You didn't know why Floyd punched you, or why he kicked Deuce in the chest, or what Jade meant by 'courtship ritual', or why Floyd thought you wanted to 'mate' with Deuce, or why they were so mad at you...

What did you do wrong...?

They were punishing you for something you didn't know you did wrong.

When Jade kissed you, you thought things were going to turn around for you, but oh how wrong you were. He bit your tongue hard as he could without straight-up biting it off...

After you were thoroughly beaten, the throbbing pain in the back of your head was almost too much to bare... your vision was fading in and out, your nose stung so badly, it felt like you were stuffed up, but not with snot, with blood. And aside from the throbbing pain in the back of your head, you also felt it behind your eyes. Your arm might be broken... right about now it's hard to tell what's what. All you knew was that you were in pain.

The short instances in which your vision was clear, you saw the twins doing... things. You couldn't exactly tell what they were doing. You saw them with their mouths agape in front of you. You could hear in short instances, too. The worst thing you heard was "Not while Shrimpy's unconscious, Jade."

You woke up in the nurse's office with Deuce sitting in a chair beside you. The worst he had was a bloody nose.

When he noticed you were awake, all he said to you was

"Sorry I didn't help you."

And then he left.

You wanted to call out to him. You wanted to yell out for help. But... you just couldn't force yourself to say anything.

A voice plays in your head. Something you remember hearing sometime earlier, you're not sure when it happened- though it was probably when you were being brutalized.

"Hush now, don't scream. We don't want anyone to know, do we?"

What happened to you...?

...

Oh, that's right.

You... fell asleep during lunch.

You fell asleep in the cafeteria.

You know, because of how tired you were.

That... that has to be what happened.

Because they would never do that to you.

And even if they did, Deuce wouldn't have just let you suffer. If what happened happened, Deuce would've at least tried to help you.

But if nothing happened, then why are you so injured...?

There has to be a reasonable explaination as to why you're so hurt.

Because there's no way that happened.

There's no way that happened. There's no way any of that happened.

You were just tired.

You just fell asleep.

You just had a crazy dream.

Jade and Floyd didn't hurt you.

They didn't hurt you...

Malleus

A fae's life is long but a human's is short. It's a reality Malleus had to face when he met you for the first time when you dropped into the ceremony in the first part of the school year. He grew to like you, he wanted to spend time with you forever. But that wouldn't last for eternity, he knew that

One night, he had a dream. It was the first time he had a dream in a long time, and it wasn't pleasant. You were going back home, going back to the place you had originally fell from to come to Twisted Wonderland. While you seemed to be sad, you didn't turn around to look at him while he ran to hug you. But in a flash, you stepped into the mirror and disappeared.

Waking up with cold sweat, he looked outside of his window. Did Malleus really want you that badly? Sure you two were close, but you two weren't dating quite yet. He wasn't sure how to tell you his feelings since he knew he could be scary, but there might not be a lot of time left for him to truly express how he felt about you. He was determined to tell you the next thing in the morning

It was a calm day, he went first thing to Ramshackle to knock on your door. Malleus waited patiently, but no one was coming to answer. Finally, after twenty minutes, Grim came running from the main school direction. "W-what is it?" Malleus asked, a bit surprised that the magic beast wasn't in the dorm. "Y-Y/n *huff* they just found out they're going back!"

For a moment, it felt like there was an earthquake. Malleus looked at Grim with a surprised but disconnected look. "Is that so? Without even a proper goodbye?" He said and started walking towards the school. He couldn't let you leave like that, no, maybe he didn't want you to leave at all. Grim called out to him and said to not do anything bad but Malleus couldn't hear him. Maybe the magic was overflowing in the fae, he wasn't sure. But he wasn't going to let you go

Idia

He had a lot of nightmares, all the time. That was the main reason he didn't like sleeping and instead preferred to spend his nights downing energy drinks and playing video games. But it all changed when you came into his life, for once it seemed like he was at peace

Ortho was the one that had introduced Idia to you. He was reluctant at first since his younger brother said to Idia that you were super cool, and yeah you were! Idia didn't think he was worthy of getting much attention from you, but you opened up to him and let him be vulnerable around you. It was more than he could ask, and he soon found himself head over heels for you

But that would also start the bad dreams about you. It was just Ortho at first, but now it was also you. Monsters dragging you away, him hurting you somehow, or you just leaving him all of a sudden. They happened almost every night that he couldn't stand lying down on his bed.

"What's the matter?" you asked one night when he laid down but refused to sleep. "Ah, it's nothing, don't worry," he mumbled, but you could see right through him. "It's okay, tell me everything you need to, I'll listen." That was all it took for him to suddenly burst into tears. You were too kind, you were almost like the entire world to him. He told you all of this while you hugged him and patted his back

"Idia," you shook your head. "I'm not leaving, I'm not going to leave you. I'll always be with you." Ah, Idia felt it was unfair that he got to be around someone so amazing. You comforted him for the rest of the night, opting to grab a hot drink and cuddle with him

Lilia

Fae's are selfish creatures, it's just that Lilia learned to push that nature of his down. He was much wiser than Malleus so he knew just causing an earthquake wouldn't do much, but when it came to you it seemed like he couldn't contain his emotions.

Lilia would often tease you more than anything. He had no fear of jumpscaring you in the hallways or popping out from the corner with a "hah!" Either way, he liked seeing you flustered but this was mainly to mask his insecurity that you could one day disappear.

Fae live longer than humans. He knew you would one day leave without him. He had a horrible dream like that one night, and he woke up panting. It was a strange nightmare, one that mixed his days as a part of the army and his current life. He couldn't get rid of the image of your corpse in his head

Seeing you the next day so bright and happy made him feel better. "Lilia, you look a bit dazed, are you alright?" You asked, brushing his hair out of his face a bit. "Ah, don't worry about me. Just caught up in some thoughts," he laughed weakly, waving his hand to gesture it was no big deal. But of course this wasn't the case, he was still thinking about that dream he had. He could see you so alive but you could be gone in the next minute, who knows what could happen.

Lilia won't tell you how he feels directly, especially his fear of losing you one day. Thus, he makes a deal with himself that he'll enjoy every minute, every second he's with you. He can't go on regretting his life decisions in the future, right?

Azul

If there was one thing he didn't want to come true, it was a dream he had where he saw you leaving. It was a horrible dream, one where he had broken your trust because of his greed and one where you justifiably left him in his own dark desires. Azul knew your first impression of him was when he overblotted, but he wanted to start anew, and this time with you by his side

He started off awkwardly, with you having to hold the reigns most of the time in the relationship. Outside of dates and treating you out, Azul couldn't do much. He had a hard time telling you how he felt and things like that.

But this would change when he and you were studying together. He let you work on his desk while he slept. You thought you heard a mumble of your name and looked around but Azul wasn't awake. Thinking it was just your imagination, you were ready to go back to your studies but you heard a whimper next.

"Azul?" you looked at him, wondering if he was making those noises. Turns out yes it was him, except he was having a nightmare, one which was about you leaving. Azul was starting to cry, causing you to worry and try to wake him up from whatever torment he was going through. "Azul, Azul I'm here, it's okay."

Those words seemed to echo in the back of his mind. It slowly woke him up but he was crying a lot. He realized you saw him in his vulnerable state and was about to kick you out of the room but all he could do was reach out his arms and hug you. Holding him tighter, you told him it was all okay while stroking his hair, trying to comfort him

Cater

If there's one thing Cater regrets, it's letting himself take a bunch of photos with you. It wasn't that it was bad photos, but more that the memories of you would hurt him even more. You had left Twisted Wonderland only a few days ago, and all he had left of you were pictures

He had a dream one day, one that was about you leaving for your world. It was selfish of him to want you to stay, especially because you didn't even originate in Twisted Wonderland. But you were also the only person that looked at him for who he was. You let him be vulnerable, you didn't care if he wasn't always a bubbly photogenic student

Grim was the first one to tell him that you were leaving, but by the time he got there you were already going through the mirror, it was heartbreaking that all he could see was your back. "Y/n!" he shouted, wanting to say goodbye one more time, reaching out as he ran.

You turned around, realizing it was Cater and trying to stop the mirror from pulling you in. Maybe it could give you some time to say goodbye. But it kept pulling you in, and you had to fight the current that was taking you away from the person that you couldn't find the courage to say goodbye to. Cater and you took each other's hands and said your goodbyes, promising to meet each other again soon. However, it was only a minute long before you were gone

Cater stood there, silent and arms still outstretched. He wasn't sure how to act, it was also the first time Ace and Deuce had seen him so serious. Trey was about to ask Cater if he was alright, but Cater just gave him a sad smile and said "well, good things don't last forever, right?"

Manhwa Cliche: Illegitimate Noble Child/Hated Noble

Been thinking about it and some of those bozos fit the "hated noble/royal with a reputation of being ruthless and cruel but is mostly a good guy who MC gets married to as a sacrifice/replacement" trope so well it's insane:

MALLEUS: Scary Crown Prince™, famous for being cold and uncaring and very powerful. His reputation is so bad that people don't even care that marrying him will make them royals

LEONA: Scary Second Prince™, the one people both fear for being wild and powerful but also hate because "he'll never amount to anything". Definitely had a rumour that he eats his suitors

RIDDLE: Strict Count/Earl who no one particularly wants to marry because he has a reputation of being a tyrant. Known for being unreasonable to an impossible degree

VIL: Strict Marquis who is also known as a tyrant, has publicly humiliated suitors who he thinks are "out of line". Everyone is afraid he'll think of them as inadequate and make their lives hell, so they stay away

IDIA: Hermit Duke. Because he barely appears, all sorts of wild rumours are told about him and House Shroud, and when he dies appear, his odd appearance and unwillingness to socialize only reinforces the rumours

ROOK: Eccentric Viscount with a very odd penchant for hunting, rumours say he hunts people for fun. Despite his mostly pleasant personality, people are still hesitant around him

LILIA: Duke of the North. If you read manhwa, you know where this is going. Since he's always out fighting and the North is not an hospitable place, the rumours paint him more of a monster than a person. He thinks it's funny.

AZUL: Shady Count/Earl no one trusts. Said to make deals under the table, to be involved with the illegal market and to conspire with enemies so long it benefits House Ashengrotto.

He thanks the Seven for your outgoing personality but he curses himself for his recluse and sarcastic nature

He found himself more drawn to you as the years went on and your friendship was full of romantic tension, waiting for the right opportunity to confess

It happened when he was made dorm leader

The whole incident was an accident. He didn’t mean to make the dorm head angry and to challenge him for the spot

He didn’t mean to suddenly shout his love for you and for you to respond in the same way

It was a moment of major embarrassment for him but he would be lying if he said he didn’t regret it

His tablet follows you wherever you go during school hours

If you’re ever stuck on any questions, he secretly text or shows you the answer via the tablet

If you place a kiss on the tablet, he shuts off the mic so that he can scream for a second

Let’s say you’re unique magic has something to do with plants or growth

Idia’s room is covered in plants you’ve grown by hand and loves accompanying you to the botanical garden

Your room is so different than the other ones in Ignihyde like it’s so colorful and lively it’s like stepping outside

He likes chilling in your room when he needs to decompress

You carry a nice floral scent with you which fits well with Idia’s candy sweet scent

Beans day is where you rule the grounds, most likely on par with Rook but instead of teasing, you go straight for the kill

It’s made you a strong adversary on the field, a scary one at that

Idia shivers at your aggressive attitude during beans day, but he also finds it kinda cool—

Idia has dreamed of dedicating his future with you, although he normally doesn’t think about it

He’s thought far ahead and how it could work with his current situation

So when a ghost bride suddenly swept him away with the prospect of marriage and death, he panicked

He couldn’t say he was married because you weren’t and he couldn’t even say a word about being taken

So when you busted in with formal wedding wear and pronounced yourself as Idia’s lover, he couldn’t help but cry

You could hear him screaming in the background cheering you on as you kick ghostly butt

Please just…cuddle and reassure him that nothing bad is going to happen to him

He never tells you about his plans for the future with you though…

During the starsending, he wanted nothing to do with it…until Deuce made that stupid bet

With that, you and Ortho were so excited for the event that he couldn’t look into your puppy dog eyes and say no

He never noticed that, while doing the drum for the dance, that you stared at him with such a love struck look on your face…

For his Halloween decorations in the library, he gladly used the pumpkins that you just mass grew with your magic

Please let him rant about Pumpkin Hollow please—

Scaring everyone was a breeze and he couldn’t help but laugh at the Magicam Monsters’ horrified faces

Man can’t help but compliment your performance in scaring them off

When Halloween was never ending, he couldn’t help but worry if you were okay or if you got possessed

As soon as he sees you and Ortho, he’s immediately jumping into your arms with tears pricking his eyes

Speaking of Ortho, he absolutely loves you as he sees you like an older sibling

You take care of his brother when he can’t so he’s forever grateful

He loves playing games with you and thinks of it as an amazing bonding experience

He likes to ask you what it’s like to be human, to have emotions, to live and you always have such philosophical answers

Over all, your romantic relationship with Idia and platonic/familial one with Ortho is very lovely
