Discovery: Evidence of immortality tied to NY resident Jeremy Hale (false age at the time: 41) circulated in online immortality fandom forums. Evidence picked up by IPA agents during routine sweep. Further investigation confirmed the suspicion. After Mr. Hale’s risk factor was calculated to be low, an agent approached him with the evidence. Mr. Hale confirmed the reports and confessed immediately.

According to him, he stopped aging around the age of 35. After the death of his parents, he moved to Paris under a new name and identity. He has been repeating the cycle of moving and taking on new identities while keeping a low profile until he was contacted by the Immortality Protection Agency.

Discovery: Delhi offices were alerted to a possible case after reports of a “miraculous survival” of a 4 months old girl in a house fire that killed her family in the town of Tura, Meghalaya.

Agents secured the infant from the hospital the next day. Hospital workers reported difficulty inserting IV drip in child. Neighbors who were questioned reported not recalling the child ever being sick. Delhi office director Adam Singh suggested testing extent of invulnerability. Suggestion rejected.

The child was given to the care of agent Amata (Subject ID: 000017) in an IPA convent in the nearby village of Mawlynnong.

Legal battles with the child’s extended family are ongoing.

Discovery: M is one of 7 known individuals included in the database upon formation of the Immortality Protection Agency. A hundred years before formation, in 1891, London-based consultant detective Sherlock Holmes discovered M (then prossessing the body of Michael Manfred) while investigating the mysterious death of his father Morton. M’s identity was given away when Holmes caught him having knowledge that only his late father could’ve known and which he couldn’t have possibly told him, being non-verbal in his final years.

As it turned out, Morton was possessing his son’s body, a process which killed his previous host’s body and erased the new host’s personality. In a sense, it was the still walking Michael who was murdered by his deceased father. The possessed Michael escaped Holmes. The following year the detective died. He suspected that Morton was not the murderous immortal’s first host, but he could not confirm it.

The case was recorded by Holmes’ companion and assistant John Watson but was never released to the public. Following research by the IPA and other agencies confirmed several other identities of M going back to the 1st millennium BCE.

M has continued evading law enforcement around the globe and the IPA to the present. Records confirm that he changed hosts at least 12 times since 1891. The last known possession was in 2017.

So as a lead up to my first post for Tactical Theology case name: Managerial Issues. I thought I would spotlight a particular group that is owned by the Fisher-Man God Iao or more specifically a group he controls called CSN otherwise know as the Cyprinus service network. 

Part hotline, radio station, and advertising platform. Iao if not much is efficient and to showcase them I’ll show you a small snippet of what you might see from them.

  *Tape clicks into place and a small underwater themed jingle can be heard*

Two voices in unison: “Hello folks, welcome to Cyprinus Service Network. And tonight your two wonderful hosts are Kandraxias and Maxwell”

K: “Don’t you worry about my long name folks that first bit is required feel free to call me Kandy”

M: “you can just keep calling me Maxwell”

K: “oh come on Maxy slough off some a that pink skin and loosen up”

M:”Ahem in service of the Fisher-man god we’ll be taking our first caller tonight”

*A voice with a slight static undertone can be heard*

V: “hello, hi can you folks here me”

K: “Yes we can dear caller may I ask your name”

V: “Hi I’m Victor”

K: “Nice to meet you Victor ,in lieu of the great deep one we will be taking your prayer tonight one troubles you on this fine evening”

V: “Well Kandy i just moved to Enoch from Maryland. There was always a great river near my home to which I conduct the corporate ritual, but now that I’m in Enoch there are no sources of water and I can only find this weird green liquid and it doesn’t seem to work very well to conduct the Holy HR meetings.”

M: “Well Mr.Viktor you’ve seem to have bad skills when it comes to learning about the culture of your new home. You see due to the curse of Cain no water can enter Enoch and that liquid you found is a water based substitute, although my colleague might have a solution.”

K: “Thank you for the hand over Maxy so you see Victor you have to remember this line from the silver tablet verse 6 

“from the broken land ye came brought forth by fear  but as you saw the riches that could be seen your greed grew many among ye chastised you saying one shan’t salivate over the riches of he whom in his great humility allows us to stay within his kingdom. But then he came upon them and said do not hide your greed revel within it as long as you have something to give I shall take and ye shall gain.”

Internal company documents cite that account username “Mukeshik_[REDACTED]_22” appeared on social media site [REDACTED] at 04:42 AM. The user’s profile page would often freeze or crash the application. When able to be viewed, it contained several anomalies, many of which were not part of a standard page’s design. The provided information was as follows:

The profile picture seemed to depict the eye of a dark, viscous creature, with a single yellow eye protruding from the mass. Despite many humanoid emotional indicators being absent from what little structure their face seemed to have, they seemed happy.

During the entire incident, the account only added a total of 3 “friends”, one of which was Agent [REDACTED], who brought it to our attention and documented much of his findings. The other two were [EXPUNGED]xx4xxUxx454337, which on inspection was a phishing bot account that was banned at 07:47 AM for spam and posting obscene photographs, and GRAMMA[REDACTED]1943, 79 year old [NAME AND ADDRESS WITHHELD], who appeared to add every account recommended to her under the belief that they were all friend requests.

The account holding entity, hereafter referred to as “Mukeshik”, posted their first photograph at 05:09 AM. Though this image is lost, it was described as an overhead perspective of a wooden cutting board on a marble countertop. Ingredients surrounded it. These included a [REDACTED]-brand multigrain loaf with two slices removed from the bag; deli-style cuts of what appears to be bologna in a zip-tied bag; teal and scaly tentacles packaged similarly; a jar of bread-and-butter pickles with only the nutritional information and an unidentifiable “beaked and hooved spider” logo visible on its label; a clear plastic tub of eyeballs of various sizes and colours submerged in murky spiced fluid with “Chuuyim’s Olive Bar - HOT!!” written in blue marker on the lid; a bottle of [REDACTED] sauce; and a brick of cheddar cheese.

A corner of the image contained a severely out of focus black smudge, thought to be the part of Mukeshik holding the device taking the photo unintentionally in-frame. In-app photo editing tools were used to give the image a hazier, soft lighting, as well as overlay digital stickers. One seemed to be a cartoonish [REDACTED]-moji of Mukeshik holding a sandwich with “YUM!!!” underneath, and the other was a tiny green jalapeno dancing. “YA BOI EATING GOOD 2DAY” was written across the photo.

The photo attached was posted at 05:17.

At 05:20 the account briefly displayed a message reading “ERROR - RIFT CLOSURE DETECTED. PLEASE CONTACT SUPPORT IF YOU CONTINUE TO SEE THIS MESSAGE.” By 05:21, the page redirected to [REDACTED]’s standard “this page does not exist” message.

Though [REDACTED]’s IT team has confirmed identifying abnormalities in their infrastructure during the event, they insist it was not fabricated by anyone on their team. We are currently working with them to find the source of the breach.

Coming from someone who hasn't played any Remedy games, they absolutely fascinate me. A game studio breaking away from a big publisher to make their own games how they want to make them after many years, and with the polish of many other AAA games. And these games are weird as hell.

Everything I've seen of Alan Wake 2 boggles me. Dual narrative pulled off well. Live action cutscenes. A whole-ass musical number in the middle of the game. A story so meta it becomes a Mobius strip.

Told you guys it was coming, didn't I? I apologise that this has taken a bit longer than expected, my mental health hit me like a bullet train, but I do hope it's sufficient.

Let's start off with the basics. ‘Euclid’ is the anglicised version of the Greek name Eukleídes (Εὐκλείδης), mainly known via the ancient Greek mathematician Euclid of Alexandria, who is seen as the ‘father of geometry’, and most famous for his work on symmetry. Its general definition is something or someone who is renowned and or glorious (A) and the lesser known definition is something that is a copy of the same (B) (taken from Euclid’s ideas on symmetry), which we’ll come back to in a bit.

However, there is another Euclid in history that we’ll be referencing; Euclid of Megara. This Euclid, similar to our mathematician, was an ancient Greek Socratic (having been a pupil of Socrates) philosopher. I’ll be taking part of a text out of his Wikipedia article since his ideas have been explained thoroughly there.

First off, this is an incredibly interesting choice of name for a song. Outside of someone's maths and philosophy class, this name doesn't exist to most, so the fact it's been chosen at all is intriguing.

Vessel has shown time and time again he enjoys sometimes elaborate references in his art, an example being chemistry and biology in TPWBYT (most notable would probably be ‘Telomeres’), so, I think it would be easy to say that, whether it be a reference to Euclid the Mathematician or Euclid the philosopher, that said reference is understood and intended by Vessel.

So, let's start with our mathematician, shall we?

What I find interesting about Euclid of Alexandria is that his life and existence outside of his work on geometry is almost completely unknown. There's almost nothing known of him, as a person, other than where he spent half of his career (Alexandria; Egypt, hence his title), where he may have studied (Platonic academy) and a general idea of when he lived (around 300BC). What is known about this insanely famous man who created the foundations of symmetry is incredibly barebones. People take Euclid at face value for his work, just like Vessel (both as an artist, and a character).

Further, we, as listeners, don't have much of an understanding of who Vessel is other than being a mouthpiece of a deity known as Sleep, someone once human now grasping at the threads of humanity and someone sharing some of his struggles in life (both with Sleep and unknown people). Like Euclid, he is barebones, we take him at face value; a vessel. He is both a mouthpiece for Sleep, a mouthpiece for his own emotions (obviously) and a mouthpiece for us. His experiences transcend being just his, due to his anonymity, therefore allowing us to connect and express our own experiences. It's music for the sake of music; expression.

Now, having talked through Euclid as a person, it's time to talk about Euclid and his symmetry. Symmetry in shapes is 'reflections, rotations, translations, and combinations of these basic operations. Under an isometric transformation, a geometric object is said to be symmetric if, after transformation, the object is indistinguishable from the object before the transformation- a copy of the same’. So, of course, this means shapes like squares, rectangles, parallelograms and circles. Circles are a representation of infinity, wholeness, unity and loops. What does Euclid do? Loop itself (starts and ends with B major, which also happens to be the same chord that TNDNBTG starts with), and loops the three albums together, musically and lyrically.

Now, onto Euclid of Megara.

Euclid was born in Megara, Athens and was a follower of Socrates (sneaking into Athens to hear him speak, and he was also present during his death). He is most known for his philosophy that good is the knowledge of simply being and that the opposite of good does not exist, aka evil. The Good is described to be a perfect, eternal, and changeless Form, existing outside space and time. A form of Heaven without a God.

This idea could be linked lore-wise with Sleep Token; Sleep could, in a way, be The Good literally. Bliss. Further, with the idea that there is no actual opposite of good, then how can anything be bad? How can Sleep, as a deity, have bad intentions if there is no actual evil?

So far, with these two notable figures in mind, we can perceive Euclid as one of two ways (and there are more ways to come). Euclid can be seen as quite literally being a form of symmetry; a parallel that Vessel lays his life on because it brings all of the produced albums, all of his stories, together. Or, we can think of Euclid as Vessel. This brings me to @euclidsvessel's post on their theory on Euclid; what if Euclid was Vessel’s name before he became a vessel?

The theory that Euclid could be Vessel’s old name is not only extremely insightful, but very plausible as well. They explained their points very well in their original post, and I don't want to repeat what they’ve already said, so I do implore you to go read that! It's not detrimental to needing to understand this post, but I highly recommend it. Despite this, I am here to both support their argument and bring my own comparison. Take a look at the cover art for Euclid:

Let me repeat the lesser-known definition of Euclid; a copy of the same. A clone. A replacement. Held in the right hand is the decapitated head of Vessel's old (2nd gen.) mask. Specifically, the one that covers his mouth; the version that relinquishes the most amount of humanity. The album art is a representation of change portrayed in a symbolically gory way. Beheading, depending on the era you’re working from, symbolises both vengeance as well as a form of purification. By cutting off the head, you remove any ‘unholy’ thoughts. It's also among one of the most horrific and humiliating ways of killing someone (since it was typically done publicly, and sometimes the heads were placed on spikes of battlements as a warning).

Furthermore, there's a theory that's popped up a couple of times, lore-wise, that Vessel is not the first person to be turned into a vessel of Sleep, and he certainly won't be the last. So, considering the literal album art illustrates a replacement of Vessel, I’d say that theory is pretty much confirmed. In conclusion, the album art can either be interpreted as how Vessel will eventually be discarded and replaced by another vessel, or how Vessel himself will change, for better or for worse; clawing out of his own skin to become “someone new”.

So, to compare the idea of Euclid being Vessel’s old name, and to create the third perception of what or rather, who, Euclid is, what if Euclid will be the eventual replacement for Vessel?
