LETS TALK ABOUT THE SEASON 5 TRAILER BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY THIS PART

Ok- I know this is probably a vision/flashback to maybe when they are older etc

But - how funny would it be - if they legit got married at 14

Like - Adrien doesn’t wanna wait any longer - he loves Marinette/Ladybug, that’s his lady

So he is just - “LETS GET MARRIED”

Marinette: Hun - Kitty- I love you- but - we are ONLY 14

Adrien: I hear you- valid point - yes but - what about Chat Noir and Ladybug? No one knows their ages!

Mari: I- well- mhm -

TDP season 5 Sol Regem Theories

So now that I’ve had a small chance to cooldown about the Sol Regem reveal in the trailer. It’s time to craft some theories.

To me the peak we got in the trailer confirms two things.

1) The sneak peak that we got with Karim is the scene where Karim meets Sol

The environments here are extremely similar. Plus Karim is wearing the same robes in both of these shots which speaks to me that these are from the same scene.

2) Since it is clear that Sol Regem meets Karim at some point in the season. this also tells me that a Karim and Sol Regem team up is all but confirmed. We theorized this could be the case earlier, but now there is real direct evidence behind it. It makes sense after all. Karim and Sol Regem have aligning views, though Sol Regem is obviously FAR more extreme then Karim.

Now a bit of theory time. It is my personal guess that Sol Regem is the reason Karim got out of prison in the first place. He had to have gotten out somehow, and it’s possible he could’ve caught wind of what happened and that Karim piqued his interest. With Sol Regem’s influence over the Sunfire elves, I find it very believable that he could’ve pulled a few strings to get him out. I feel that after this point, Sol and Karim are going to team up in some capacity and Karim’s gonna try to take the Lux Aurean camp from Janai once more, but this time with a more significant backing behind him. Obviously Karim with Sol Regem would be much more of a force to be reckoned with than just Karim alone, and they may actually possibly succeed in taking the camp.

If they do succeed, what happens next remains to be seen. Probably all humans are going to be forcefully ejected, but what happens afterwards is unclear. Let’s also remember that Sol Regem is way more extreme than Karim is. I find it very possible that Sol Regem could be to Karim what Aaravos was to Viren, slowly making Karim more and more extreme and radicalizing him overtime. Is it possible that Sol Regem may try to persuade Karim into taking further action against the humans? Possibly an incursion into the kingdoms to parallel the battle of the storm spire? Maybe, but we are getting ahead of ourselves here.

Another interesting thing is the fire Karim is casting on Sol Regem.

What is this for? It’s definitely not hostile as that’s not the motion you would make if your attacking. It also makes no sense because, again, the Sunfire elves revere Sol Regem. Sol is also blind, so the fire would be no use to his vision. Is it to light the area up for Karim? Maybe, but the way it’s framed seems more like an offering than Karim just deploying a lantern. And if it was a type of “lantern” Karim would’ve used it earlier. It almost looks like Karim is offering it up to Sol Regem, for some reason. I’ve heard discussion that Sol Regem may get his eyesight repaired. This scene could be Karim doing that, maybe it’s some sort of healing spell that could help Sol see again.

I do have a significant problem with this theory though. If it was that easy to repair Sol Regem’s eyesight, wouldn’t previous Sunfire elves have done it already? given how much they revere him? On top of that, I swear I remember Aaron talking about how since Sol’s burns were caused by dark magic, dark magic is the only thing that could repair them. So while compelling, I don’t have a lot of belief for this theory.

Either way, I’m incredibly hyped for Sol Regem to make a comeback. He is by far my favorite villain in TDP right now, and I hope we get to see him become even more terrifying in season 5 onward!
