Italian Flavors - Part 2 “The Date?”

Part 1

Friday night was hell for you, you tossed and turned all night, barely being able to catch any sleep. All you could think about was the italian redhead, what your date would be like, was it even a date? It had to be, she was definitely flirting. Your thoughts wandered for a while, thinking about how she said she wanted to fill you up. What was she going to do to you? What was she going to let you do to her? Was that all happening tomorrow? Shivers run through your body and you feel your clit tingling. God damnit, just the thought of her it’s enough to drive you insane. You thought about her hands, her fingers looked so perfect, you had seen her before around the market pickinp up fruit and wondered how they would feel grabbing your tits, and soon you might now have to wonder anymore. Maybe you will get to experience what they feel like inside you, you feel yourself clenching around nothing. “God damn it y/n you are down so bad” Frustrated you decide to get up and make some tea. After a cup of chamomile and a hot shower, you put your favorite asmr sounds and do some breathing exercises that finally make you fall asleep.

Saturday morning you wake up and the first thing that pops into your head is her. You smile to yourself thinking about how she probably looks now on her bed, you wonder if she is a morning person or she likes to sleep in. You haven’t even have a date with this woman and you are already thinking about her routines and her morning hair and breath. You can tell she is going to be the end of you, but she is so beautiful, you wouldn’t mind.

You decide you can’t show up empty handed but you don’t want to show up with something store bought. So you embark in the journey of trying to make the most perfect cannolis. After browsing the internet for a long time, you finally find a recipe that seems to be approved by all the italians in the comments. Lucky for you, you had all the ingredients at home. You loved cooking but cooking for Melissa felt different. You stood in front of your kitchen with a stupid gring on your face thinking about how you imagined she’d look if she liked your dessert. The grin quickly turning into a big gulp, your throat might have gone dry from thinking about the sounds she’d make, how her eyes would roll to the back of her head. “Damn y/n im sure they won’t be that good” you say to yourself.

After a while, you get your recipe right. Giving yourself a pat on the shoulder. Hopefully Melissa likes them as much as you like her, mmm as much as you like italian desserts, thats what you meant.

7pm is quickly approaching and you decide to text Melissa to ask for her address, since she never texted it to you. Did she forget? SHIT! Did she forget?

you: Hi Melissa, are we still on for tonight? You never sent me your address. Was i supposed to ask around?

You hurry and drive to her house. Your palms are sweaty and your heart feels like it is about to jump out of your chest. A few weeks ago you were admiring this woman from afar and now you are about to have dinner with her. “SOMEONE PINCH ME” you scream as you pull into her driveway.

You give yourself a short mental peptalk and go up to her door. You knock and seconds later, there she is, the most beautiful woman you have ever seen. You are speechless as you look at her up and down. She is wearing a lime green satin dress and it looks like it was made for her. It hugs all her curves so perfectly. Your mouth slightly waters at the sight.

- Hi gorgeous, cat got your tongue? - she says with the biggest grin, oh she knows what you are thinking.

- More like a beautiful woman did. Wow, you look stunning. - you said with all sincerity and the sweet tone makes the redhead blush.

- You look good too, hot stuff. Who are those for?

- Oh, these - you say as you come back to reality and realize you are holding a huge bouquet of flowers. - They are for you, obviously.

You feel her gaze on you, she is studying every feature on your face. Slowly getting closer, she raises one of her hands. Caressing your cheek she tells you what a pretty girl you are. She traces your nose with her finger and your breath catches. She looks at your lips for far too long and you softly twitch in anticipation.

- OH, the sauce, it is ready - Melissa says as she walks away from you, leaving you wanting her.

- Come on you didn’t think i was going to give you what you want so easily - she says and winks at you.

- I know what it is, but maybe you should be the one telling me.

For a while you just sit there and watch her assemble her lasagna. You feel so lucky to get to see her like this. Dancing around her kitchen doing what she loves the most, and you get to enjoy her art. Your eyes are probably heart shaped at this point.

She pops the lasagna in the oven and opens a bottle of wine.

- “Here puppy eyes” she says as she hands you a glass of wine. - What is that you are holding hostage in that bag?

- Oh my god, I had completely forgotten

- Wonder why - Melissa says with a smirk

- Well someone’s pretty self has been distracting me - you say eyerolling

- So you think I am pretty? - Melissa questions you, her tongue dragging along her bottom lip, cleaning her wine stained lips.

- No, I am just here for the free dinner - You joke

- Funny huh - she leaves out a laugh that make your stomach flutter

- Could say is one of my best qualities, but anyway, in the bag there is actually something for you. - you shuffle in your seat (the stool near the kitchen island from where you have been watching Melissa this whole time)

- So what is it?

- Ok, but i am actually nervous about this. I know i am not italian but i do love cooking italian food and i did a lot of research and this recipe seems to be very authentic italian, so please give it a chance - You say as you hand her the box of cannolis.

- Oh god, hon! These look amazing. You sure you aren’t italian. It they are as sweet as ya, I am sure I’ll love them.

You search for any hint that she might be lying in her eyes but all you see is sincerity. You give her the brightest smile.

- I had something else in mind for dessert, though. But we can have these.

- Uhm, who said anything about having to eat them today?

Melissa laughs out loud, and there they are, the butterflies are there again. You can’t believe you are making this stunning woman laugh.

You both talk about your backgrounds, what ignited your love for cooking, your careers and even a little bit about your past relationships. Being with Melissa feels so comfortable. It doesn’t feel like this is a first date. You can also tell Melissa doesn’t share this much with anyone. You feel lucky and intoxicated by her. You want to hear her talk forever. God, even just being in her presence is the best thing you have ever experienced.

After a while the lasagna is ready and she sets out the table for you. The scene is so beautiful. Candlight dinner, the flowers that you brought her sitting on the table, the wine, the soft music playing in the background, the lasagna, and her oh beautiful her.

She serves you a plate and hands it to you, gesturing you to not start yet.

She comes to your side and takes a seat, all you can do is look at her, her red locks, her long lashes, her beautifully shaped lips, oh that cleavage. Slowly she grabs your cutlery and cuts a piece for you. You look at her with a slightly puzzling luck.

She picks up a piece of her lasagna and brings her to your mouth. Both of you holding eye contact with each other as she softly says:

- I want to be up close when you make those sweet noises, like in the video… yes, baby?

Her raspy voice makes you gulp, and you softly nod, never breaking eye contact, she feeds you and you can’t help but leave out a breathy moan. One because the lasagna is actually the most delicious one you have ever had and two because you had to let out your pent up sexual tension from the moment.

Well "ship" usually refers to head-cannoning/wanting two characters to be romantically involved. Even if they are not in canon. Blue and Seafoam aren't a ship, they just are.. well, together. Its written into the canon that they are together. So its not a ship and its feels a lot different than a ship would..

As for Peach and Mario, a quick google search says they are canonically mutually romantically interested in each other. Same with Luigi and Daisy. I only tagged my posts as "Mario x Peach" and "Luigi x Daisy".. because that's what people search for when they wanted to see romantic content of those characters-

And even if google straight up lied/is wrong and it turns out not to be confirmed? Those two pairings are so strongly suggested/implied in canon, that I don't get any of negative feelings I associate with ships.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, I just don't like ships. It really isn't my thing for a lot of reasons. There's a loooot of not great feelings associated with them. None of my own characters make me feel that way becuase I created them. And their relationships are written into the story..

And the Mario pairings are canon. Or at the very least, they are soooo strongly implied, that I don't get any of the negative feelings associate with ships even if they weren't canonically a thing.. I hope that made sense..?

howdy! "self aware pkmn masters ex team leaders" gal here, and i just wanted to say that i LOVED your additions to my post! i actually came up with a few of my own in the meantime, and i just wanted to share with ya (not a request, dw):

Ghetsis: after Old Man Plasma is done "rebelling" against your control, you start noticing that he grows.. more attached, in a way. he greets you more whenever you log into the game, and gives you a lecture on "leaving him hanging dry" if you don't log in for some time, whether it being real life stuff and whatnot. he DOES see you as some "deity" in a way, but he cannot afford the disapproval that you might give him if you don't like his offerings for you. what if you end up dropping him from your team entirely? what if you kick him from the trainer lodge? what if you forced him to fight alongside N???? oh, the pain and humiliation! and while he DOES see you as a fitting ruler for Team Plasma, he also unfortunately knows that you don't trust him for shit. and he DOES 'attempt' to be honest and not manipulative for once, but the app's code is holding him by the collar. but becoming plasma's ruler is a standing invitation, so he'll wait as long as he wants.

Giovanni: ah, gio. good ol Mr. "My Entire Team Dies To Grass And Water And Ice". he strangely became more lax and laid back after discovering his self awareness, and he grew more attached to you; mainly because you're the only person who seems to know about him more than he does about himself. oh, you just so happened to mention silver one time? well, now you got giovanni wondering if he can repair his doomed-from-the-start relationship with his son. but his interest peaks when you mention the pokemon anime, and like the Cunning Narcissistic Old Man he is, he wonders how HE is portrayed. luckily, he wasn't butchered too hard. but when you bring up jessie, james, and meowth? boy, he goes into total Angy mode. he rants about how incompetent they are, and how he allowed them to even be in the team to begin with. and he DOES get in character, which is a bit surprising for someone who just discovered his existence is a sham. and expect him to refer to himself as "Vanni" or "Gio", since he heard you call him that when you first got him and it just sorta stuck, yknow?

Maxie & Archie: just as before, Mr. Magma Man and Mr. Sea Pirate remained the same, but expect to see yourself get pulled into their dumb debates and arguments now that they consider you close enough to be a Team Magma/Aqua admin. you can just log in once and maxie will greet you at the pokecenter and be like "ah, (player). i need your opinion on something. you see, archie said that kyogre is the best legendary, but i beg to differ. im asking you because you are the only smart person i can rely on around here.." or archie just going on a 15 minute rant to you about how groudon sucks dookie and that maxie is a man child (they're still besties, dw) that needs to study the SEAS and not (in his words) "STUPID ITTY BITTY ROCKS". you're practically their closest thing to a friend, and that says a lot.

Cyrus: he gets quite curious about your world. you tell him about all the little things, from the blooming of flowers to space discoveries, and he feels like his third, nonexistent eye has been opened. he was already so focused on destroying a universe and creating one dull of emotions that he forgot to see the REAL beauty of what lies beyond. while he physically can't use palkia or dialga to do what he wanted in platinum, expect to see him go full fanboy mode over your world, your town, anything surrounding you. its almost adorable, even when he just has a -_- face the entire time. if he could be more expressive, you bet your ass he would be smiling rainbows at that point.

It’s strange. When you are offline, theres so much going ok, yet not at all. Not enough for anything major, but enough for it to seem like the place must be alive when you aren’t looking.

Even the bosses have recognized this. How odd it is.

They all grow so attached. If you end up not logging in for a while, you even start getting notifications from the app.

‘Are you there?’

‘Are you alright?’

‘What happened?’

Much to your surprise, they found out how to communicate through your notifications. They often fight who gets to even do so.

Most of them would never admit they are attached, but they all grow concerned regardless.

Archie and Maxie would probably be the only ones to openly admit they were worried. They definitely see you more as a friend, not just a potentially god like entity.

I can be a little emotional at times, maybe a little dirty minded too lol, i love to cook, i’m a dog lover (really just an animal lover at that), and i’m competitive and passionate. I’m a very driven person and if it’s something I want to do i’ll make SURE it gets done. I Make up my own rules and I don’t give into unfair ideas that are put up around me. I lead with my heart and my emotions and if that gets me into trouble then so be it. i also LOVE scary movies, true crime, all that stuff, i’m also a SUCKER for reality tv 😭 (tlc does have some good drama though)

I would say I’m charming and it’s more of my words and my smile that gets the guys. I’m a bit of a germaphobe and maybe little ocd. Imma southern gal who’s very short, (5.0) I think I have more of an innocent look (despite my wild attitude LMAO) I have big brown eyes, wavy light brown hair, big lips, only like a couple light freckles on my nose ( you can see them better in the summer) , button nose, and an olive skintone that has paled over time, I would say I have more of a petite/hourglass figure but I think my chest is what catches people’s eyes (Im a size DD LOL) I have high standards, I can be very sympathetic, and I also can usually tell when people are in pain or when their vibe is off in general. I usually just joke or “laugh it off” and I can be very deadpan when something bothers me, or if it’s something that really hurt me I usually just shut down and become cold or distant. i’m an INTP, My hogwarts house is Hufflepuff ( even though I honestly thought I was a slytherin for so long 😭) My love language is physical touch for giving and acts of service as receiving (it’s really just the little things and showing that you care about what I’m saying or just being thoughtful). I grew up with brothers so i love watching sports and playing them (We grew up in a very competitive household lol) i’m very very family oriented, I’m a sagittarius, I like to play the piano, and read and write in my free time. and In the summers I love to fish and swim at my boathouse. so i let the hyperfixation win.

over the past several hours i rewatched Sword Art Online and SAO 2.

(this time dubbed, last time i watched it subbed)

here are my thoughts:

-anyone who said the dub was bad is just wrong. Kirito's VA really shines in the more comedic or sweet moments (like when first meeting Yui), he reminds me of like a Peter Parker. and oh my lord, the breakdown by Suguha's VA was just a masterpiece. Still have chills from watching it.

-i have such a big appreciation for every character. This time it really shined through how good of characters Kirito, Asuna, and Suguha actually are.

Kirito's internal conflict throughout SAO2 is so good, grappling with their actions they needed to take in SAO to survive. and throughout all of it you can tell how much they truly loves their friends and family, and how kind hearted they really are. Asuna definitely fits into that role as well, being so ready to take care of Yui and so desperately wanting her to be safe and loved and cared for.

And oh my gosh Suguha. I remember people absolutely hated her arc because it is problematic, but the fact is, it's played entirely serious, her feelings arent taken as a joke. She has a genuine and real internal struggle for feeling things she feels she shouldnt, and how she feels those feelings arent reciprocated or cant be reciprocated, and having her heart broken twice by someone who she loves and someone who also does still genuinely love her. Its absolutely heartbreaking to watch.

Man, Sinon is still fantastic. She's still my absolute favorite, and I think she is one of the best characters in the show, and pretty much steals the show from her introduction. Her arc ties in so seamlessly with Kirito's and how they help eachother heal and grow is fantastic. Only complaint is we never got a scene of the rest of the Gals being jealous about the grenade hug she gave Kirito. After Kirito and Sinon nearly died, wouldve been some nice relief so you didnt feel like you yourself were dying.

-Speaking of, while there was definitely a ton of fanservice, the pseudo-harem aspect with the jokes were kinda cute, between characters seeing flirting happen around them, getting embarassed over it, its fun. Especially when people got jealous of Sinon flirting with Kirito over Excalibur. That part was very fun, since they did that infront of everyone else, almost like they were trying to get a rise out of them. Theyre not exactly the pinnacle of comedy, its definitely a trope, but theres something nostalgic about it that makes it kinda enjoyable.

-Speaking of the psuedo-harem, guys if all of you are constantly flirting with eachother (not just Kirito surprisingly, happens between the other girls frequently) and jealous of any affection with that, just start a polycule. You're a group of gamer girls playing MMOs together and all of you have slept in the same bed with eachother. Stop snipping at eachother and start dating eachother. Polyamory is pretty cool. Kirito and Asuna can still be the main duo and be the parents to Yui and Strea; but yall gotta work on the jealousy or just do what every other group of girl gamers does, polyamory. Lisbeth you should not be angrily drinking while watching Kirito and Asuna talk. (this is mostly a joke, im not actually saying they *have* to do a polycule, its more of a joke because of how tropey a lot of the flirting and jealousy is, and yknow, gay girls do polyamory, so dont take this part toooooo seriously.)

-Speaking of girls dating girls, the LGBT rep aint half bad. Argo canonically using both male and female pronouns is really cool! Most of the girls flirt with eachother a lot too, which is nice. Between the female avatar, the willingness to pretend to be a girl, the introversion, the desire to be an avatar in a virtual world more than irl, Kirito might be transgender. All good stuff here.

Overall, SAO is honestly way better than I remembered, even if some parts definitely show its age. You gotta piece it together a little bit with headcanons, but i do that with every show, nothing is perfect. Except Sinon. And a world where trans Kirito is canon. Those are perfect.

Smallish post for the moment, to reply to some questions and comments made on prior posts :)

I've been asked a few times over the last couple of months about where I live as well as the grow seasons in my area.

I'm in a fairly populated area of the US, largely in usda grow zone 9-10.

Where I'm at in particular doesn't get snow, but further upstate does. (Those areas can't grow yr round, not without some adjustment such as greenhouses.)

Technically, I can grow almost all yr round. But once the Temps start hitting 100*f regularly it's too hot for us and most plants stop flowering or fruiting (pollen starts getting damaged at 95*f, but multiple 100*f days is bad for both plants and most pollinators) so we end up just letting what can struggle along till its cooler or we take everything up and solarise (Personally i Iet the plants that'll grow grow, keeps the soils covered, where it belongs and gives a fresh food source for my chickens that isnt trucked in everytime.)

In winter, we do get cold, but not too many frost days. When we do have frost days, often I can toss a few thin blankets over most crops at night and be good till the next day. If I only plant winter crops, I don't even need to do that.

I also do not follow a lot of the planting guides available. I often use them as a rough draft (like starting tomatoes in pots/grow cells in November around Thanksgiving. So their ready to be planted around valentines day).

Side note, 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌻🌻🌻 If your looking into starting gardening or farming and are in the USA, I 1000% would say check with your local county extension office or county extension ag office. Some of the larger state collages as well have offices dedicated to answering plant questions. You don't even have to be in the same state

I've asked for help with potatoes through 3 different counties (including the state I live in) each one has given valuable info, advice and several different answers. They are amazing resources if you don't have someone to buddy up with!

Sadly, I cannot give much info for such programs outside the states as im unknowledged in the possible resource shares. I believe most countries do have a similar equivalent though. 🌻🌻🌻🌱🌱🌱

Because I'm in an urban area (surrounded by neighbors and city), it does mess with the microclimate a bit. This means some crops do way better at different times than expected.

For examples, armenian cucumbers do great yr round.

Regular cucumbers? Only winter/fall. I don't grow them much, though cause they've tasted terrible.

Carrots are more a fall crop here and are much tastier and sweeter. Spring/summer carrots are hit or miss. Edible but less enjoyable.

Spinich? Haven't had any luck in either season yet. Either in ground or in raised bed or pots.

Regular potatoes? Soils too hard in the ground and the raised beds I've tried so far get too dry or too wet. :'( next try i intend to try a raised row/straw method.

Sweet potatoes? Vines grew and flourished well throughout the whole summer! I've yet to see what the spud harvest will look like yet, but I've gotten around 10 lbs of greens, plus a few pounds of vines that the chickens demolish quite eagerly. To me, that's a win, plus the vines trellis easily and can double as a nice shade structure when trained on trellis.

@oh-he-grows carrot seeds do smell fantastic! I was quite suprised how nice they smelled! Tbh I've been a little interested in collecting some umbells before they open next time and seeing if I might infuse some olive oil for a soap batch.

@tinyshe Thank you for your encouraging words! I hope as well to encourage more people to look into growing gardens, saving seeds, doing more small scale things to eventually make a positive difference for future and current generations :)

love him so much you dont even know. i memorized his username (Hirooooo) i think he's cool. i like his inkless office drone title it implies so much about him. projected some of my traits onto him a very long time ago, so he's an autistic trans guy to me. maybe bi. ive mentioned it before but i think he wears his ocho octophones outside of battle and theyre noise cancelling. i think he needs that feature for battles cause oh my goodness there's so many noises in battles sometimes.

of COURSE he uses .96 gal, its iconic as hell. but i think he uses like.. 3 other weapons too. splattershot, mainly because he's been shown with ttek splattershot + he's on the trizooka card (or at least the octoling there has a VERY close resemblance). i think he uses range blaster and dark tetra dualies cause he's been shown with them (the range guess is based on like. 20 pixels from a millisecond of footage though). also i use range and dark tetra..and i thought it was funny

also fun little thought i had the other day: i think he avoids .96 gal deco like the plague. was excited to see it get splash wall but freaked out about kraken royale. picked it up just to find out about the kraken part mid-match and got jumpscared by the transformation. enough to shove somewhere and never think about it again

i dont think he has like, a set in stone team or anything (i dont think any of the splat 3 promo kids do, they all play matches with each other n theyre all friends) but he usually teams up with anemoneno1, takotruck, and c4l4m4r. they have the most toxic synergy ever but thats another story. my interpretation of ane is its own thing too. i think they and hiro hate each other in the friend way. say the rudest shit to each other as a joke then laugh about it.

SPEAKING OF HIS RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER PEOPLE. coming out as a hironika lover. i think he loves veronika so much its unreal. kind of boyfail type of way. they share an apartment w/ ane. sometimes i think about a poly thing between them but i like to think ane's just an onlooker to the frustrating chaos that is the two of them pining on each other in the most obvious way possible. theyre so t4t oh my god. (off topic but im a veronika she/they nonbinary believer forever. i think she's also a girl too but i dont know how to explain that. bigender, demigirl?? hard to label wish i could just let people peer into my brain on that.)

STEVEN GRANT SFW ALPHABET -- PT 1

this was VERY fun to do and it made giggle a few times (dont tell anyone) here you go!

Activities – What are their favorite things to do with you? How do you spend your free time?

So in my opinion steven is one of those people who care about the company rather than the activity kind of person? Like we could be sitting silence reading and he’d be having a blast because its comfortable silene. Or we could go all out and creative and go to a pottery making date (yes this is peak creativity for me,im a very old fashioned coffee dates and fancy restaurants kind of gal. SUE ME!) and he would also have TONS of fun because he values the company and people he’s spending time with!

Boo! – How do they feel about surprises, giving and receiving?

Okay to be honest when I first read ‘BOO’ I was like ‘muahaha im gonna spook steven’ but then I finished reading and its about receiving and giving gift… ANYWAYS! Okay but about getting spooked, I feel like steven is just one of those people who get spooked easily. So okay imagine this, you’ve been living with steven for quite some time now (mmm like 4-5 months-ish) and hes doing something in the kitchen or reading or just sitting and staring into the void and you come quietly behind and just BARELY graze his shoulder and quietly say “steven..” he will get in attack mode im sorry. (like this) “ GAAaAh! WHA-? Oh gods you scared me” and he will clutch his boobs I means his pearls in fear and then laugh it off and ask you “what is it love? Did you need something?”  

Comfort – How do they comfort you when you’re upset? When the tables turn, do they come to you, or try to handle it themselves?

I guess it depends on every person and how they like to be comforted? Like me for example if im crying or having a bad day I just like to be left alone and ill come to you if or when im ready to talk. So with steven I think he would just be like a cat. Just lingering around me (with probably longing eyes) with a safe distance to give me space.

The other way around however, with steven I think he would love a shoulder to cry on or someone to hear him rant or ramble about why hes upset would be perfect. As he never had anyone to liste—nopE NOPE nevermind!

Dance – Do they like to dance with you? How good of a dancer are they?

im sorry people but steven is not a good dancer, like AT ALL. But boy does he love to dance around the flat, like I don’t know if its his autism but he may dance his way to place (like going from the bathroom to bedroom etc) or he could be standing perfectly still and just start to dance out of nowhere (don’t worry steven im right with ya) ALSO! OF COURSE HE LOVES DANCING WITH YOU?? Come on now, by now we know steven watches a lot of rom coms so of course he spins you around in the kitchen in the morning after a night of sweet love making (was that cringe? Yea probably) while making breakfast.

Excitement – How do they act when they’re excited? What excites them?

As we established, steven is very much on the autism spectrum so happy stims FOR DAYS! Jumping around, hand clapping, fist bumps you name it basically! And watch out for potential kisses all over your face especially when youre the reason of his excitement! Definitely do not think about steven picking you up and spinning you around your shared flat laughing his ass off, nope nope.

Future – What are their plans for the future? Do they see themselves getting married, having kids?

*loud gulp and body shiver* hmmm future? Married? KiDs? All very scary topics (to me) yes okay come on you know damn well he already thinks you’re the one when you greet gus the second (gus the first gone but never forgotton) with a smile when you first visit his place. Hes already thinking about the wedding venue when he puts himself down when he realizes that hes (cutely) rambling about his favorite myths and legands and you tell him “no no please continue, im genuinely interested. Besides you look very pretty talking about your interests wink wink” (yes I do say wink wink in real life). And hes thinking about how he wants 2 kids with you when one day your in the park walking together and your playing on the swings and a spoiled brat comes to you telling you that its their swing and asking you to move, so you smile sweetly and look into that brats eyes and say “ I didn’t realize it had your name on it?”

It was your lunch break, and you decided to see Rose. But when you got down to where she was stationed, she wasn’t there, so you decided to check up in the lunchroom.

You scanned the room and heard an excited whir from your favorite droid, BB-8. You saw him roll towards you and looked up to see Poe waving you over.

You followed the droid and sat across from Poe. Rey, Finn, and Rose were already having a conversation but quickly gave you some hellos when you sat down and returned to their conversation.

You and Poe ate your food quietly. You weren't paying attention when your friends communicated with Poe to talk to you with their eyes.

You saw him out of the corner of your eye, shaking his head.

When you focused back on him, he gave you an embarrassed smile, and you smiled back at him.

“So Y/N, I wondered if you wanted to come out to the cantina tonight? There's going to be music, dancing, and drinking. Thought it might be fun to get off the station and relax.”

You smiled at his offer, “Yeah! That'll be fun!” you turned your head over towards your friends, “Now I can finally see how good a dancer Finn is,” Finn looked over when he heard his name, “Also am looking forward to a rematch with Rey and Rose on how many shots either of us can take in a single sitting.”

Poe kept looking back and forth between you and the group, stuttering.

You look down at your watch and see that your break is almost up, “Okay, well, I gotta get back to work. I will see you later tonight! It's going to be fun!”

You get up from the table with your tray and head back to your station. 

“So you asked her out?” Finn questioned.

“Yes,” Poe replied.

“But she thought it was a group hang out?” Rey asked.

“Yes! I don't know how many times I need to explain it!” Poe explained.

“Listen, I love Y/N. She's a great person, an amazing engineer but her grasp on social cues are not the best,” Rose chimed in.

“You guys are gonna still come, right?” Poe asked.

“You want us there? I thought maybe you could just tell her we couldn't make it,” Finn suggested.

“I mean, it's not ideal for your friends to join you on a first date, but I don't wanna just ambush her with just me showing up.”

They all agreed and went on with their shift.

Night finally came, and you were back in your shared room with Rose. 

You put on a dress you found at a mid-day market on Ajan Kloss. The dress was flowy and perfect for dancing.

The door to your room opened, and Rose smiled at you and collapsed on her bed.

“So Rose, I know you aren't a dress kinda gal, but you have to wear these pants,” you get up from the chair and go to her closet and pick out what you want her to wear,  “They are so comfy and perfect for you.”

“Y/N?” Rose spoke.

“Yeah?”

“You remember you told me you had a crush on Poe?”

You hum a yes while putting on your heels. 

“Well, what if I told you he also has a crush on you?”

You nervously scoff, “Shut up. He does not.”

“He does, and he wants to go on a date with you.”

“What?” you say, very shocked, “When?”

“Tonight.”

“Well, that's kinda dumb. Why would he wanna ask me out on a date when we all have plans for the cantina?”

“Hun,” she said in a concerning tone.

“What?”

“Hun,”

“W-what?” you began to process everything in your mind more thoroughly, “Oh, did I misunderstand something again.”

“Yeah, but it's okay! I'll let the others know, and you guys can go on a date.” Rose said reassuringly.

“Wait! What if I misunderstand something again and ruin everything.”

“Hun, that won't happen. You'll do fine.”

“But remember what happened with Kiredish?”

“Yeah, yeah, that was bad. But that was with Kiredish, and this is Poe Dameron. You've liked him for three years, and this is your chance to make your move.”

You nod at what she says. She bids you good luck and walks out of the room.

You wait a couple of minutes until you get the message that Poe was waiting for you.

You walk out of the base and see that he is waiting for you. He looked very handsome, and you made sure to tell him that.

He blushed at your compliment, “Well you look beautiful as always. Um, so the guys aren't coming. I hope that's okay if you still wanna go drinking and dancing.

“Of course, I still wanna go. It's gonna be fun.”

You smile, and you both start to walk down to the cantina.

The walk was short, but the scenery on the planet was beautiful. You were looking at your surroundings while he was staring at you.

You get to the cantina and walk to a table next to the dance floor.

Poe pulled out the chair for you, and you sat down and scootched in.

“I'll go get us some drinks. You like the Twi’lek Izzy drink, right?”

Oh, my maker, he's so cute he remembered your drink, “Yup.”

He smiled and went to the bar top.

He came back and handed you your drink. You took a few sips, and then there was silence. Knowing that this was a date, you had no clue what to talk about.

You guys are good friends; you know what you need to know about each other.

“So, how's your drink?” he asks, breaking the silence.

“It's perfect. Do you know when the dancing is going to begin?”

The band was already in full swing, “I think it starts when we get out there.'' He stood up from his seat and extended his arm out to you.

“What? We can't just go out there!” you say in a panicked manner, “People will be looking at us.”

“So? We don't know these people. Come on, Y/N.”

You slowly put your hand in his and walk a few steps so that the two of you are in the center of the floor.

The music was light, and the rhythm flowed through the two of you. You kept feeling all of the eyes of the bar patrons fall onto you. You were looking around, and then you got tense. Poe felt that and he pulled you close, your noses were barely touching, and he  whispered, “Hey, don't pay attention to them. Keep your eyes on me,” he then moved to whisper in your ear, “just pretend that we are the only two people left on this planet.”

The thought of just the two of you alone made you relax. He led you in the dance, and that's when others joined, and then the music got quicker and more festive.

It was like a club in there, and before you knew it, you got out of breath and needed a minute to collect yourself.

“That was fun!” you saw out of breath.

“O told you so,” he said with a grin.

You stuck your tongue out, and he sat down next to you. You and he watched the people dance and have a good time. 

You scootched closer to him and put your head on his shoulder. 

“Hey,” he said, and you lifted your head, “how about we go outside?”

You nod and follow his lead. The night air was cool and crisp; it was just beautiful. You went up to the railing and leaned against it.

He noticed you shiver, and without thinking, he put his jacket on your shoulders.

“Oh, you didn't have to do that,” you smile, looking at his jacket.

“You were cold. What kind of gentleman would I be if I didn't do that,”

You chuckle slightly at his comment.

Again you get closer to him and put your head on his shoulder.

You were quiet for a few minutes and then had to get something off your chest.

“Poe?”

“Yeah?”

I apologize for the misunderstanding. I've never been good at picking up on those types of things. I almost got engaged to a guy I thought was my friend for three years, but everyone else knew we were dating.

“Wow, that's… I don't even know how to respond to that,” he chuckles.

“Yeah. I just wanted you to know that I like you and have the best time ever.”

“Really?” he asked, looking over at you.

“Yeah! The dancing and the drinking are great.” you laugh, looking back at him.

“I think that there's something that can make this night just a little better.”

“Like what?”

He was staring at you and slowly leaned in closer to you, you got what he was doing and leaned toward him, and your lips lightly touched.

His lips were a little rough, but once he wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you close, his lips melted against yours.

You wrapped your arms around his neck. He then breaks the kiss, and you couldn't help but giggle.

“I wish we could just freeze time and stay here forever,” he whispers.

“I wish that too. But it is getting late; we should go back to the base,” your voice was sad, and he heard that.

The two of you were walking back to base, and while you were walking, he went off course for a short second and then ended up at the front of the base alone. You wait for just a second and see Poe jog towards you.

“I know we can't freeze time, but maybe this is something you can remember tonight,” he handed you a flower. It was one of the native ones to the planet. It was beautiful; even with it being out of the ground, the petals were still pulsating and alive.

You smiled at the gift, and he walked you back to your room.

“I had a fun time, Poe.”

“I did too, Y/N,” he leaned down and kissed you; he cupped your face and pushed you against the wall. Your hand wrapped around his wrists, holding him close to you.

Lost in the moment, you didn't see General Organa walk past, but she made herself known by cleaning her throat. And the two of you, like teenagers, broke the kiss, and both of you were full of embarrassment.

The two of you looked at each other and burst out laughing.

“Well, I should get back to my room before General Organa rips me a new one,” he laughs.

“Yeah, “ you smile.

“Good night, y/n,” he kissed you on the cheek and walked down the hallway looking back at you every few seconds until you were out of sight.

You sigh happily and open the door. To your surprise, the lights were on, and Rey and Rose were sitting in her bed smiling at you, waiting to hear all about it.

Coincidentally when Poe got back to his room, Finn and BB-8 were waiting for the same thing.
