So this is something I've wanted to post about for almost a month now but I finally have the time!
This past Christmas, I bought my very first CGC comic. It's not a key issue by any means, but I still really love it and it means a lot to me.
TheLongestTumble presents:

Sensational Spider-Man Vol. 1 #2 (1996) - Graded 9.2
Ben Reilly is one of my favorite Spider-Men of all time and this is one of my favorite Spider-Man covers, so when I saw this on eBay for $42, I had to get it!
I have this issue raw unslabbed as well so I wasn't worried about getting this. I'm convinced my raw book is around a 9.0-9.4 but it's really nice to have this 9.2 in my hands.
I also really enjoy the custom label that's on this slab. I've always loved custom labels so I'm happy that I have one :)

I have this on display in my apartment on top of my dresser (don't mind the mess, it's just like that) and I love how it presents. This is definitely one of my best purchases in my comic collection.
Thank you for reading this post! Happy comic collecting :)

I hate when adaptations have big spider symbols that spread through the torso, is your name Ben Reilly? No then fuck off.

‼️SPIDEY SPOILERS ALERT (just in case)‼️
all rants and rambles aside, can we talk about the impeccable use of coloring as symbolism to set the scenes throughout the movie. ESPECIALLY the scenes between gwen and her dad. the use of cooler colors on one side, and warmer colors on another, cooler tones normally being reserved for gwen in her overwhelmed state where she was feelin all her guilt, and grief, and anger.
like in the scene where she gets back home and finally talks to her dad. and she starts rambling and panicking, and the colors in her background start running and bleeding into each other.
and when they finally hug and their colors blend, and it’s much lighter and smooth. less dreary and messy.
the movie did so well with using subtle symbolism and setting to convey messages. and i felt like they were just as easy to absorb as actual dialogue if you were paying enough attention. the movie was beautifully done, the artistry is mind blowing. it’s late asf so my thoughts aren’t as put together as i’d like but i really wanted to say something so thank u for comin to my TED talk
