Sokka: Grew up riding horses with his family in the Canadian Arctic, so he's very chill and comfortable on a horse. He did a ton of incredibly stupid stunts with Katara as a kid, so when he decided to follow her into competitive horse sports the speed and daring of showjumping came naturally to him. While an extremely competitive guy, he's matured a lot over his short career and makes a point to himself of emphasizing a good time over perfection. Katara is an Olympic medalist in dressage and well on her way to becoming a professional trainer which does not give Sokka an inferiority complex, not even a little bit. well... maybe a little bit, and she and Sokka like to go to fancy events together so they can stand by the buffet and judge people. Like that dickhead Zuko who perpetually looks like he's got a stick up his ass.
Zuko: His family are wealthy breeders, and the pressure to do well in horse sports is immense. Zuko, the family disappointment, has famously delicate nerves in competition and has never achieved the success of his father and sister. This is definitely because he's just naturally pathetic and not because his dad is the kind of coach who hits his students over unsatisfactory placings. The official story behind his scars is that he got them in a riding accident, although some have pointed out it looks an awful lot like something shattered against his face. He acts like a raging impulsive asshole to cover for the fact that he goes into every competition terrified out of his mind, and the facade works so well even he believes it.
Sokka hates Zuko on principle, because he's a rich shithead, and while Zuko initially didn't even notice his existence he is always ready to fight a bitch. No they are not flirting, Katara, they are engaging in verbal sparring. There's a difference.
I have literally no idea how the actual romance starts so uh. y'all can come up with your own vibes for that part lmao
sorry, you don't happen to know the name of this one show jumping horse..?.mare, pinto, had one blue eye, i believe she jumped for germany, i think it was in the 80s
i'm high as fuck so maybe she doesn't exist but have you heard what i'm describing? i'd really like to find pics of her again
Hmm maybe the Trakhener mare Mandala? She was brought to Germany from Poland in the 80s to revive the color in that breed, but I don't know if she was a showjumper.
The Kuse Jumping Tour that started kind of haphazardly in February turned into a love project that peaked in October with the opening of the KJT Finals. To respect different creators' TOU's I had to make the show Equiality-Sims exclusive when I designed the world for the finals. It's been such a joy seeing the entries created by others, creating courses is so much fun thanks to the talented CC creators making wonderful objects for us all to use!
By the end of the year my inspiration faded so my own entries are a bit subpar but I'm still happy with them.
My first horse, Calypso, a 20+ nightmare of a lady, she was a grand prix showjumper in her day, and I only ended up with her because she was set to be put down despite being healthy.
Goddamn I loved that mean old lady ♥️
She was a biter, and a kicker, and she loved to run off with me, but she was also so, so talented, she taught me so much, she had the funniest personality, and she was SO beautiful.
When I took her over she was 22, it was february and they told me I might have her trough the summer if I was lucky.
That damn horse lived for three more years, and was healthy as ever during that time.
Getting to share her final years with such a special horse who had such an effect on so many people’s life was a huge privilege, and I am so, so grateful to this day ♥️
1.40m horse to World Cup horse in 2 months, it was always an extremely ambitious (and hopeful) plan but we made it 🥲
It's a very good feeling when the rider (especially considering he is who he is) says he wouldn't mind having B for himself, or another top rider having him to continue chipping away at this level 🌟
