M calls him 'Bond' for all of Casino Royale but then Vesper dies and he is suddenly James.
The first thing we hear anyone tell him after Vesper's death is M's "I'm sorry, James." She in fact calls him that three times in that single scene. "You don't trust anyone, do you James?" she says - and I could talk about the two of them and the concept of trust til kingdom come - and, when he questions why he would need time, given that "the job is done and the bitch is dead",
"James," she tells him, "did you ever ask yourself why you weren't killed that night? Isn't it obvious? She made a deal to spare your life in exchange for the money." Three Jameses in one conversation. "I'm sure she hoped they would let her live. But she must have known she was going to her death."
I don't think anyone ever accused M - or this franchise to be honest - of being kind but there is so much kindness in that scene.

"My name makes me sound like one of Apollo's kids"
"The sun is a star that shines brightly every day and in every situation, and so was Soleil. Soleil Blaine grew up to embody her name. Her life before wasn't exactly something out of a fairy tale or from any storybook at all. No, she was not a princess, nor was she rich. There wasn't a superhero with some sort of armor or horse that saved her, but her mother was there. All her life, the only person she ever truly knew was her mother. However, everything seemed to have changed after the death of the only person she truly loved. The sun, the brightest star to have ever existed, had lost her light."
Percy Jackson
—The loyal
Tumblr media
"I am Sally Jackson's son"
Hero. Percy Jackson was named after the great hero Perseus, for his mother hoped he would be able to have a happy ending like his namesake. But a hero's fate is never happy. Growing up, Percy received an immense amount of love and support from his mother, even if it was sometimes hard to understand. Despite having Gabe as a pathetic excuse for a father, he always had his mother as his foundation and source of hope. However, a hero would also need to sacrifice the person they love most because a hero's life is never happy. It is filled with tragedy, suffering, and betrayal.

Bondathon: No Time To Die
Daniel Craig’s last outing as Bond, and while he’s aged, he’s done so in ways that will make any middle aged man jealous (until he remembers that he doesn’t have access to the kind of treatment that allows Daniel Craig to defy time). The script benefits greatly from Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s input, and the set pieces are all there, a great opening sequence, Ana De Armas brings a lot of fun in her cameo as Paloma, and Lashana Lynch holds her own as Bond’s OO successor.
The set designs here are probably the most noteworthy since Ken Adam’s time, but…there are problems with this film. For me the problems largely sit with the villain of the piece, Saffin, his motives aren’t really that clear, we know he wants revenge on the people who killed his family, but the megalomania of the final act kicks in. Don’t these guys ever know when to quit? And that in a nutshell is the problem with this fifth outing for Daniel Craig, they really should’ve known to quit while they were ahead.
No Time To Die isn’t a bad film by any means, the first two thirds are pretty good, it’s just that after Skyfall, and even Spectre, the final denouement doesn’t quite hit the bullseye, and after you’ve invested so much in Daniel Craig’s portrayal, you really want it to. We know Bond has to be the hero, but why doesn’t Nomi (Lynch) stay to finish the job, she is after all his successor. But that one simple decision would have massive repercussions for the ending, and yes even though this film is really three years old (remember the release was put back a year because of the pandemic) I’m not going to give any spoilers as to the ending.
Anyway, it hits a lot of the high points, but I’d still love to know how Danny Boyle’s vision for this film would’ve worked out. Perhaps he’ll get an opportunity one day to put his stamp on a Bond film, that would be something I would pay to see, especially if Aaron Taylor-Johnson gets the gig.

M
James Bond’s commanding officer, the head of Mi6 whose identity, and indeed whose existence, is never confirmed.
Admiral Sir Miles Messervy KCMG (Bernard Lee): Dr No (1962) to Moonraker (1979)
(real name not revealed) (Edward Fox): Never Say Never Again (1983)
Admiral Hargreaves (Robert Brown): Octopussy (1983) to Licence To Kill (1989)
Barbara Mawdsley* (Judi Dench) (classic film continuity): GoldenEye (1995) to Die Another Day (2002)
Olivia Mansfield (Judi Dench) (reboot film continuity): Casino Royale (2006) to Skyfall (2012)
Gareth Mallory (Ralph Fiennes): Skyfall (2012) to No Time To Die (2021)**
M has appeared in every James Bond film to date - with the exception of For Your Eyes Only (1981), in which he is said to be “on leave”. This was due to the death of Bernard Lee during production, and out of respect for Lee the character was not recast.
*“Barbara Mawdsley” is confirmed as M’s real name in the original script of GoldenEye and its subsequent novelisation by John Gardner.
**Ralph Fiennes has not (at this point) confirmed that he will return as M in Bond 26. I hope he does, though. He's excellent.

Thanks for tagging @lilgreyarea! It took me a while to figure this out 😂 So I'm just going for a list of movies that I can watch again and again.
ten movies i love
1. Inception (2010) Tom Hardy in a posh accent and patterned shirts.
2. Captain America and the Winter Soldier (2014) The movie that started it all.
3. Top Gun Maverick (2022) Miles Teller's moustache. And the story was alright too.
4. The Darjeeling Limited (2008) I watched it on the plane - the screen was small and I could barely hear any dialogue but it was so beautifully shot and my first Wes Anderson movie. I just love family drama, and train movies.
5. Sense and Sensibility (1995) Prime Emma Thompson, and she wrote the script too. Great Jane Austen adaptation. It was Ang Lee, so of course it was beautiful.
6. Skyfall (2012) My favourite Daniel Craig bond movie. It's just very tight and well paced. Ben Whishaw as Q. Big love. It also has Adele, so.
7. Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002) It has Rohan and Helm's Deep, and a great quote: "toss me". I'd pick LOTR trilogy but I feel like that'd be cheating.
8. Emma (2020) Another amazing Jane Austen adaptation. Anya Taylor-Joy was...a joy to watch. Amazing colours.
9. God's Own Country (2017) Lovely. Romantic. Two men finding love amongst fluffy sheep with a with the Yorkshire moors as a backdrop.
10. Bridget Jones' Diary (2001) It has one of the best fight scenes in a rom com (if you know you know). It has Hugh Grant and Colin Firth - what else do you need?
Tagging: @joohoneybeee @film-in-my-soul @fourtacosandaburrito @icemav86 @glitterisblue @yikes-00 @cristinuke @renai-chan @greendaze @yoonsos22 @patbbangg @johanirae or whoever wanna do this!

i just need to share this since i rewatched spectre: i don't know if i'm projecting on a different level, but i'm like 80% convinced (with no proof whatsoever lmao) that daniel craig and ben whishaw portrayed 00Q /like that/ even if they knew they were never gonna be canon. like the glances and chemistry between those two characters are always off the charts, the actors had to have known what they were doing. lol idk im delusional.
Hi Anon! This is making me want to do another Spectre rewatch. I also remember the glances being off the charts, and I feel like there was a fair amount of chemistry in some of the Austria scenes as well. 😁 It's a good question about whether they were acting it this way on purpose--I've sometimes wondered the same thing about Skyfall, since one obvious reading of the meet cute in the National Gallery is that Bond thinks Q is just a random patron hitting on him at first, and of course that could have ripple effects in terms of how the actors interpret the characters throughout the films. Both Daniel Craig and Ben Whishaw are incredible actors, so it would make sense for them to be aware of all the layers upon layers there. That also seems possible when you think about the original Spectre script, which had Q being kidnapped--it would have been important to show the chemistry (whether platonic or otherwise) between the characters for that plot to have maximum effect as things played out.
And speaking of chemistry, I've been flipping through the Being Bond book that just came out (so good! so many tidbits!) and in the section about the National Gallery scene in Skyfall, Sam Mendes mentions that it was very helpful for him that Ben Whishaw and Daniel Craig had worked together before, and that Daniel "adores" Ben, so I think the fact that they both just really like each other and are good friends in real life probably also shines through! (I'm thinking of those gifs of them hugging at an awards show...BAFTAS maybe...? don't quote me on that, but I do love their friendship.)
Honestly, I'm here for it either way. 😁
Thanks for sending this to my ask box, I love chatting about this sort of thing! 💜

Tried to post this in the comments to one of the posts, but ran out of space, LOL. These are such thoughtful and nuanced takes, thank you Mac for organizing and to all the brilliant people sending in their thoughts. I am personally obsessed with the question of whether Q comes to grapple with the consequences of his work. At the beginning of Skyfall, I don’t think he really knows them. My own take is that he starts off almost giddy with the power of his own mind, which is something that is easy to fall into with a mind of that caliber. Everything can be a thought experiment, exciting and theoretical, until something drives home that it’s real. It’s easy to see how a truly exceptional mind could get a bit trapped there, where everything is a problem to be solved and the consequences are simply part of a balance that seems remote to the thinker. I think the question of what he might do when he starts to fully grasp those consequences is a fascinating one. Would he leave the field? Would he resolve to do better? Would he take the position that it’s better he do it than someone with worse motivations and fewer skills? I’ve seen this a bit in what I think of as the opposite field to Q and Bond, in human rights work, where brilliant people realize they can’t fix everything and sometimes barely escape making it worse, and have to decide how to bear the weight of that ambiguity, or whether to leave it behind. Questions for the ages anyway, but would absolutely love to read some fics that explore this.
You've managed to hit on my greatest love in this fandom outside of 00Q, which is Q's Professional Problems.
I've painted him in different ways at the beginning of Skyfall, but that's a really great take. I was so bowled over by this point in particular that I nearly fell off the couch:
It’s easy to see how a truly exceptional mind could get a bit trapped there, where everything is a problem to be solved and the consequences are simply part of a balance that seems remote to the thinker.
I think that's exactly it. To a very technical mind, every problem has a solution. There is nothing you can't solve if you have the skills, time and manpower to do it. Of course, having all those things at once is rare, but the sentiment remains - everything can be fixed.
It's interesting to hear you approach it from the human rights angle, because I work in the tech industry and I see that same kind of thinking all. the goddamn time. I see people try to solve very pervasive, very human problems like homelessness by creating an app, or creating products without ever talking to a single human that's going to use them, and then creating something that's far more sinister (Apple AirTags? A perfect way to find your keys! Also a perfect way to stalk someone by secretly attaching it to their belongings!). We've seen drones used to kill, (and then people who have never killed anybody, and never expected to have to) having to kill with them. There's a particular kind of blindness when you're working in tech that comes with never really talking to the people who you're building something for. Of course, this would be exacerbated in a place like MI6 where everything is highly, highly confidential and cutting edge. You can't just put a user research group together, and you have no idea at all what might become of your experimental tech.
I think it could go a few ways for Q, and I'm really frustrated that we didn't get to see the original script to SPECTRE play out (in it, Q is taken by Spectre, tortured, and has to kill a man to save Bond). For as horrible as it would have been to see, and as much trauma as it would have given him, I think it would have given him a real moment of clarity few others in his position have - that is, real knowledge of the very human cost of killing. Which is not to say that's what people need to go through in real life (oh at all). I just think as a character arc it would have been fascinating. Though the urge to knock a few Silicon Valley types on the head is never far away 😂
But even without that storyline, I think the agents - Bond especially - teach him so much about the human side of it all. Both why human intervention is necessary, and why it's a hard thing to justify. I think even by the time SPECTRE rolls around, he's had a lot of his assumptions shaken, even if he's still playing with experimental tech.
Q is never going to be a morally black or white character. He will always have a hand in death because he's the one who optimises it - guns, bombs, exploding watches, experimental nanobots (though his weren't deadly, it's easy to see how the enemy might have adapted the technology). I personally think he would resolve to do better and take that responsibility on himself because, let's face it, he's arrogant enough to think he can. And maybe he can make it better, or maybe he ends up jaded by, as you say, trying to bear the weight of all that ambiguity.
Whatever the answer, it's all endlessly fascinating. If you got this far in reading this and have any fic recs, please reblog or reply with them!!! I'd love to read them too.
Thank you so much for the ask, @aniron48

2008 – Agokwe by Waawaate Fobister opens Buddies in Bad Times Theatre's 30th season.
Tumblr media
Waawaate Fobister (b.1984) is a Canadian playwright and actor, whose debut work Agokwe won six Dora Mavor Moore Awards in 2009. The play, which premiered at Toronto's Buddies in Bad Times theatre in 2008, is a gay-themed play which explores the burgeoning attraction between two aboriginal teenagers, one a traditional Ojibwe dancer and the other a hockey player.
Fobister's solo, multi-character debut play focuses on the attraction between the two vastly different Aboriginal teens. Jake is a lively and animated grass dancer from one reserve, while Mike is an emotionally distant star hockey player from another. The two have eyed each other before, but it's only during one momentous hockey tournament weekend in Kenora that the secret spark they once shared begins to ignite — with disturbing results.
Fobister played all of characters in the Buddies production, including both teenagers.
An Anishinaabe from the Grassy Narrows First Nation north of Kenora, Ontario, Fobister identifies as gay or two-spirited. Agokwe, the title of his debut play, means "two-spirited" in the Anishinaabe language.Fobister says it was important to him to share his experience of growing up queer in the isolated Grassy Narrows reserve. "I wanted to touch on the homophobia that exists because I've personally experienced gaybashing on my rez, by another native guy," he says. "They beat me up, and put me in the hospital for three days. There were other times — just in Kenora I got attacked by some white people calling me 'Faggot, faggot, faggot,' and then they punched me."

1961 – John Logan is an American playwright, screenwriter, and film producer. He is openly gay.
Logan was a successful playwright in Chicago for many years before turning to screenwriting. His first play, Never the Sinner, tells the story of the infamous Leopold and Loeb case. Subsequent plays include Hauptmann, about the Lindbergh baby kidnapping, and Riverview, a musical melodrama set at Chicago's famed amusement park.
His play Red, about artist Mark Rothko, was produced on Broadway, where it received six Tony Awards in mid-June, 2010, the most of any play.
Logan wrote Any Given Sunday and the television movie RKO 281, before gaining an Academy Award nomination for co-writing the Best Picture-winner, Gladiator in 2000. He gained another nomination for writing 2004's The Aviator, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and directed by Martin Scorsese. Other notable films written by Logan include Star Trek: Nemesis, The Time Machine, The Last Samurai, and the Tim Burton-directed musical, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, for which he received a Golden Globe Award.
Logan's most recent feature films include Rango, an animated feature starring Johnny Depp, the film adaptation of Shakespeare's Coriolanus directed by and starring Ralph Fiennes, and the film adaptation of The Invention of Hugo Cabret directed by Martin Scorsese. Logan wrote the script to the James Bond film, Skyfall, along with Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. He also wrote the next Bond film, Spectre (2015).

1899 – William Dobell (d.1970) is regarded by many as one of Australia's greatest portrait painters. After a modest beginning to his artistic career, Dobell achieved legendary status in Australian art history with his controversial receipt of the 1944 Archibald prize, Australia's premier award for portraiture. While Dobell's oeuvre is replete with homosexual subtexts, the artist spent his life hiding his sexuality from what was then a very conservative Sydney society, wary of the potential harm to his career that an open display of homosexuality could cause.
Born in New South Wales on September 24, 1899, Dobell grew up in a large family in a working class suburb of Newcastle, two hours north of Sydney. As an adolescent he spent much of his time in pursuit of art, rather than young women. At the age of fourteen, he left Cooks Hill School, where art training was limited, to pursue a freehand drawing course at a local technical college. After taking up an apprenticeship with an architect in Newcastle, Dobell went to Sydney in 1924, where he worked as a draftsman and attended evening art classes at Julian Ashton's Sydney Art School.
Dobell's winning of the Society of Artists Travelling Scholarship in 1929 allowed him to further his training at the Slade School of Art in London. Dobell used London as a base from which he travelled to museums in Holland, Belgium, and Paris.
Many of Dobell's most important life studies of the male nude, including Study, Boy on Beach (1933), were produced at this time, and suggest Dobell's delight in the physicality and sexuality of his male models.
On returning to Sydney in 1939 the still relatively unknown Dobell taught at East Sydney Technical College. With the outbreak of war, he took up a position with the Civil Construction Corps, becoming an unofficial war artist. It was during this time that Dobell produced some of his most famous portraits. These include The Cypriot (1940), The Strapper (1941), and The Billy Boy (1943), the latter providing one of Dobell's most iconic references to homosexuality. The painting depicts the weighty torso of laborer Joseph Westcott, his flabby, pink flesh barely covered by a diaphanous, loose, white singlet.
Tumblr media
The Billy Boy
In other paintings produced during the war, such as Emergency Loading at Night, Perth (1944), Barrowman, Perth (1944), and Concrete Consolidation Workers, Sydney Graving Dock (1944), Dobell also idealized the masculinity of fellow Construction Corps workers. His paintings glorify the men's physical prowess, casting them as sexualized, heroic workers.
Dobell's receipt of the 1944 Archibald Prize for his Portrait of Joshua Smith made him an Australian household name. Even mainstream society, ordinarily uninterested in the politics of Australia's small artistic community, was intrigued by the often viciously personal debate initiated by the awarding of the prize to Dobell.
Tumblr media
Portrait of Joshua Smith
The incident was also noteworthy because beneath a thin veneer of high-minded aesthetic discussion lurked a voyeuristic curiosity about the true nature of the relationship between Dobell and his sitter, Joshua Smith, a friend and fellow artist.
Traumatized by the intense public scrutiny of his personal life, in late 1944 Dobell retreated to the relative isolation of Wangi Wangi on the New South Wales central coast. He won the Archibald Prize two more times.
Tumblr media
Self-portrait
He was knighted in 1966, but died four years later on May 13, 1970. In accordance with the artist's wishes, much of his estate was used to establish The Sir William Dobell Foundation, an institution that continues to benefit and promote art in New South Wales.
Tumblr media
1482 – Switzerland: Richard Puller von Hohenberg is burned at the stake along with his servant Anton Matzler in Zurich. They are accused of having a homosexual relationship.
Tumblr media
1731 – Twenty-two men are strangled and burned for sodomy in Faan, the Netherlands. Two die under torture. A total of 96 Gay men are
Tumblr media
executed in the years 1730-1731.
1957 – An Austrian committee recommends repeal of that nation's sodomy law, but it will take 14 years for the repeal to happen.

The Little Mermaid will be remade in live-action by Disney and released in theaters the following year. He only fully sees his value once she unintentionally releases a giant genie.
Both fresh recordings of the songs and a fantastic score by eight-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken are featured in the movie. It also has many DVD extras, such as an entertaining interactive 3D tour inside the Genie's lamp and a virtual trip on a magic carpet.
Disney transports you deep into the African wilderness with The Lion King, their 32nd animated film. It relates to the tale of Simba, a brave little cub who will grow up to rule the jungle. One of the all-time top-grossing animated movies is this one. It has music by Elton John and Hans Zimmer and a cast of believable animal characters.
The Lion King, directed by Jon Favreau, stars Donald Glover, Seth Rogen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, James Earl Jones, and Beyonce Knowles-Carter as the voice actors. The successful animated feature Finding Nemo was followed up with Finding Dory. In a quest to find her family, she reunites everyone's favorite forgetful blue tang, Dory (voiced by Ellen DeGeneres).
Andrew Stanton, who co-wrote and directed the first, is in charge of this. Thomas Newman, a composer for movies including Skyfall, The Help, and WALL-E, also contributed music to the movie. This tale of a fish in and out of water is full of emotional weight and recognizable characters, even though the plot doesn't attempt to rival Finding Nemo in terms of brains. Disney Pixar is a resounding winner.
Captain Jack, a down-on-his-luck character, senses the winds of misfortune blowing his way in Disney's newest swashbuckling adventure forcefully. He must now travel a dangerous sea in search of the fabled Trident of Poseidon, assisted by a clever and attractive astronomer and a headstrong young man in the British navy. As the swashbuckling anti-hero Jack Sparrow, Johnny Depp makes a comeback. His new castmates include Captain Barbossa, played by Geoffrey Rush, and the villainous Captain Salazar, played by Javier Bardem.
The first trailer for Star Wars: Episode IX, the ninth and final movie in the Skywalker saga, has been made available by Disney. The movie recounts the Resistance's struggle against the Galactic Empire and the malevolent First Order under the command of Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Anthony Daniels, Domhnall Gleeson, Billy Dee Williams, and Naomi Ackie, a debutant, appear in the movie. J.J. Abrams, who also authored the script, is directing it.
One of the most well-liked attractions in Disney history is The Haunted Mansion. It is a classic and has been around for over 50 years. In 2023, a movie adaptation of the attraction is scheduled to debut, starring LaKeith Stanfield, Rosario Dawson, Tiffany Haddish, Owen Wilson, Jared Leto, and Jamie Lee Curtis, among others.
The narrative centers on Gabbie (Dawson), a single mother who moves into a mansion in New Orleans and learns about the building's extensive history of hauntings. She asks a priest, a historian, and tour guides to help exorcise her house.

Hansel & Gretel (astrescent ver.)
This script was written for my muet class little "theatre performance" activity. A little fyi, this script was not proofread since I made it last minute and I don't really have anyone who wants to proofread it. Anyways, enjoy reading~
(ASTRESCENT VERSION)
Hansel & Gretel Script
Narrator: The bustling noise of the city has become a white noise for the children as they play in the sand box. Neil, the father of Hansel and Gretel, gazes at both of them but with a heavy sigh, he pulls his gaze away.
Neil: What have gone wrong?
Narrator: Neil thought to himself as he succumb into defeatism. On the other hand, Hansel attention was captured by an intriguing toy animal on the slide.
Gretel: Hansel...?
Narrator: Gretel call out for him when she caught him getting distracted in the middle of their play, but Hansel didn't respond. Instead he remained transfixed by the toy animal with a strange, faraway expression on his face. Gretel furrowed her eyebrows when she received no answer from her younger brother.
Gretel: Hansel!
Narrator: That broke his trance. Gretel's confusion was evident on her face as she waited for Hansel to explain himself.
Hansel: I saw that toy butterfly you wanted for your birthday.
Gretel: Oh, some kids must've left it there...
Narrator: Hansel gave a brief nod, though his mind seemed to have strayed far away. Gretel shook her head and continue digging the toy shovel into the sand.
Hansel: Gretel, do you really love butterfly?
Gretel: Yes, I do...
Hansel: Then, we can take that toy butterfly since nobo–
Gretel: No
Hansel: But, Gretel nobody is taking it ho–
Gretel: Hansel! Drop it!...please
Narrator: Hansel went quiet, twiddling with his fingers as he struggled too come up with another reason on why they should take the toy animal home with them. Upon seeing Hansel's restlessness, Gretel let out a heavy sigh.
Gretel: I...sigh I understand what you're trying to do but...we can't
Narrator: Nodding thoughtfully, Hansel flashes a toothy grin as he holds the toy bucket, waiting for Gretel to scoop up and fill it up.

Narrator: As Neil's thought came to a halt, his phone's muffled ringing caught his attention. Fishing the phone out from his pocket, he answered with a gruffy voice.
Neil: Hello?
Bellona: Where are you? I told you I need a lift back home.
Neil: I'm...at the playground
Bellona: Again? groaned Just pick me up...
Neil: Right...I'll be there in a minute...
Narrator: Bellona ended the call, and Neil let out another sigh as he rose up from the bench. His eyes drifted towards his children, as they cheerfully played in the frigid afternoon, their infectious laughter echoing throughout the area.
Neil: Kids, I'm going to pick up your mom from work. Don't go too far and wait for me here, okay?
Narrator: Gretel's face showed a strong frown, indicating that she had no liking for Bellona. Neil sighed once more, rubbing his temple. Hansel, who is the mediator for both his father and older sister, gave Neil a little wave of farewell before continuing to play with Gretel.
Narrator: Hansel & Gretel was eventually left alone at the playground. It has happened countless times before, but for the first time, Gretel felt that today was the day when they were truly alone. While Gretel was lost in her own little thought, Hansel who had his focus on the toy animal earlier finally made his way to it. As he held the soft item in his hand, his eyes were sparkling and a small smile was curled on his lips. He was so engrossed in the toy animal that he failed to notice the danger that was approaching him.
Gretel: HANSEL!...no...no...NO! HANSEL!
Narrator: Hansel was captured, squirming and flinging his body in the arms of his abductor to set himself free but eventually his energy was overpowered and his vision went black. Gretel watched in horror as Hansel's body went limp. Scrambling on her feet, Gretel screamed at the abductor.
Gretel: Let him go!
Cary: Oh, such a pretty face...a fragile body sigh there's no point for you to fight back, your father doesn't care about you, even your step-mother wants you gone. laughs Take her.
Narrator: Thrown over the shoulder, Gretel cries as she hits the back of her abductor. The sight of her brother's limp body in the arm of the evil lady made her eyes brimming with tears. What is going to happen to them? Will they be alright? Will they be able to return home safely? These thoughts are unleashed in Gretel's mind while her body weakens to fight. The worst thing is that, in the back of her mind. There's a lingering question that she didn't dare to ask in their current situation. Will they finally reunite with their mother?
Bellona: Seriously, what's with you these past few days?
Neil: What do you mean?
Bellona: You know what I meant ...
Neil: sigh The kids wanted to go to the playground, I've been neglecting them and—
Bellona: What kids?
Neil: Huh? My kids, Bellona...I know you and Gretel are not in a good term but—
Bellona: Neil, your kids are dead. They were gone 3 years ago.
Narrator: Neil's eyes widening and his hands began to shake causing the car to stop abruptly. As if the realisation had finally struck him. He began to shift gears of his car harshly and pressed onto accelerator. He had one destination in mind, the playground. Bellona held fast to her seat while she tried to bring Neil to his senses.
Bellona: Neil! Neil!...Stop it! Neil...please!
Narrator: When they got to the playground, he was greeted with nothing but an empty space with the orange shade from the sunset. He eyes wanders around the playground frantically, attempting to catch a glimpse of his children playing and laughing.
Neil: No...
Bellona: Neil! snap out of it, they're gone!
Neil: NO! THEY'RE NOT! I saw them— No, I watched them playing in the sandbox. THEY WERE HERE BELLONA...IN FRONT OF MY EYES!
Narrator: Neil's sudden breakdown resulted in him being sent to a psychiatrist. The loss of his children has weighed heavily on him.

Lana: Mr. Neil Morte, am I correct...?
Neil: Yes...
Lana: Alright, Mr. Morte...How long have you been experiencing hallucination?
Neil: ...Hallucination...I'm...hallucinating?
Lana: Yes, in the form...it was written that you often go to the playground with your children—
Neil: YES! My children...I was at the playground with my children and...and
Lana: Mr. Morte...Hansel & Gretel was found dead 3 years ago. Their bodies were found in an abandoned house.
Narrator: In this moment, the earth and heaven are colliding. The eyes that once held so much emotion are now only a void. Even those who are the strongest can sometimes fall into despair when they lose someone they truly love.

keeping it mcyt themed i had a Big dsmp animatic idea that i never finished. like i think i got as far as writing a script and doing a small amount of thumbnailing/storyboarding before i gave up. it was gonna be everything up to the disc war finale set to skyfall by adele and it was gonna have dialogue edited in like sad-ist does in her animatics and it was Very Ambitious for me. i still think the idea is cool but i’m definitely not doing it at this point

Okay, I am wondering. It was Spectre, right?
If Q "doesn't like flying" (as stated in Skyfall*), then how did he get that fast from London to Sölden (the Hoffler Klinik) to drag Bonds arse back to London?
Is is really, as many fics suggest, because Q is legitimately scared of flying (which may or may not be trauma-related?) (Ooohh, angst opportunity!)
Or is it more out of a concern for environmental friendliness/CO2 foot-print/whatever?
*) hang about, hang about, hang about ... what should I bet on this having been in the script ONLY because they couldn't have James Bond asking his new Quartermaster, of all people, to help him shave? In that particular sensual manner, too?
