Hello everypony,,, I've been gone for a hot minute O.o Haven't I.... Anyways heres another fake book cover. I really haven't been in a huge drawing mood, and I miss it a lot. I want to keep practicing these because it's fun and I want to make cool posters for myself and stuff like that. I copied it from another cover (down below...) because the title was too funny. I don't know what a truckers chicken is, I don't know why truckers would have chickens (animal or food??). I looked at the word trucker so much that it's just gibberish to me and I had to check over and over if it was spelt right LOL.
Sniper my queen,,,, release the tatas... Ignore the backgroudn. ofc I know how to draw trucks.. Okay Inknow what ypu'er thinking, dear reader, "Gee whiz Piccolos-Bigtoe!!! ANOTHER speeding bullet drawing? AND shirtless Sniper??? How very original of you..." and you're right, it is original, and I'm not sure if I've done it before now, but I will keep doing it. Lowkey it is my coping at this point,,, I project my personal issues onto them to make writing about it easier.... Blah
I'm going to be real right now with you all.... controversial opinion ahead........ I am not compelled by the thought of soft gentle twink Scout. Before you boo me and throw tomatoes- I think he's fun and cool, and I enjoy others depictions, but I like to imagine him as some an asshole overconfident wanna be hunk, annoying, reactive, always talking up a big game about mostly useless things but he can't handle his ego being bruised. but it's all a facade to hide his true emotions that he feels deep down (BOOO CLICHE!!!!)... </3 I went crazy Sunday night,, wrote like a whole thing about it.
Also I almost got into an accident today because while I was driving home from work some old lady decided to pull out from a parking lot and gave me like 5 seconds to slam on the breaks. Good bye until next time. Which is hopefully soon. I miss drawing

pairing: bangchan x fem reader x perv!changbin (somewhat?? on accident lowkey? LOL)
synopsis: changbin was asked by his friend chris to help load boxes on to a truck since he would be moving into a new apartment. the last thing changbin expected was for one of the boxes to be filled with some cds?
word count: 1.6k
rating: mature, includes: unprotected sex, swearing, spit, fingering (f receiving), usage of handcuffs and gags although not heavily described, usage of the word "daddy" in a sexual setting, "kitten" and "cockslut" are used once, "babygirl" is repeated throughout, creampie, breeding (did i even write it if it's not a breeding kink fic..), chan big cock, changbin perv, voyeurism, masturbation, very very minimal assplay like literally one sentence, usage of a camera.. um yeah!
Tumblr media
changbin knew it was wrong..
changbin knew he should've left the box alone but his curious little fingers were moving quicker than his mind could stop them.
he was helping chris move apartments, his friend asking if he was available on the weekend because he could use an extra pair of strong hands.
he loved his friend, so of course he agreed and came over to help.
chris had everything neatly packed for the most part so the process was moving steadily. changbin figured he'd skip the gym tonight because the act of lifting heavy boxes and bringing it to the truck was incredibly tasking.
chris had asked him if he was hungry, that he would treat him to some burgers, who was changbin to turn down some yummy free food for his hard work?
so his friend told him that he would be right back, letting him know there were still some beers in the fridge that he could help himself to.
he walked over to the fridge and cracked open a can, sipping it and taking a deep breath. he didn't have much to do while he waited for chris so he had decided to grab any boxes that were still left and bring them over to the door so they could load them up quicker.
most of the boxes that remained were left in the hallway leading to his room, however there was one particular box that caught his attention, it wasn't fully taped shut and peeking at him through the small crack of chris' bedroom.
changbin didn't mean to be nosey but he had found himself walking towards it. he should at least help his busy friend out by properly taping and securing the box right?
to his surprise, the box was full of cds.
he picked one up and looked at it carefully.
were these music cds? did chris make these? were they demos or unreleased stuff he'd stashed away? how many of these were recent or from his high school days? did changbin just hit a goldmine of beats and ideas? he was going to kick chris' ass for not sharing these with him.
and changbin didn't quite know why he did this, but he found himself pocketing one labeled with what he assumed was the date it was created. he knew he shouldn't take his friend's stuff but chris was so overly critical of himself.. he probably threw these in a box to be forgotten and changbin wasn't going to let that happen. he knew that whatever chris cooked up in his studio was going to be amazing and he was itching to hear what this was.
soon enough, chris came back and changbin had since left the box alone, anticipation boiling in his tummy over what might be on the disk
chris had brought him the burger he rightfully deserved and they chatted together until it got late, changbin bidding his friend goodbye and letting him know that he was available to help whenever so that they could finish up.
the one thing on his mind as he drove back home was the cd, how it felt like it was burning through his clothes, how he was dying to finally know what it was. it was the first order of business he would take care of once he was situated with his laptop.
parking his car and running up the steps to his apartment, trying to unlock the door but in the process dropping the keys and chuckling at how excited he was.
he kicked off his shoes and made his way to his room, sitting at his desk and turning on his laptop, he couldn't contain himself, bouncing his leg as he inserted the cd.
however, to his surprise the file didn't come up as audio, it came up as a video file.
he had no idea why, but he thought maybe chris had recorded a process video in the studio or something, you should never question one's creative process, after all.
he clicked on the file and let it load, watching as it started to play on his screen.
it was chris, his face closed in on the camera with a concentrated look on his face, eyebrows slightly furrowed as the tip of his tongue stuck out from the corner of his plump lips. it seemed he was trying to adjust something about the camera before he picked it up, letting out a soft laugh once he finally figured it out, adjusting the focus before flipping the camera.
"kay kitten.. daddy's fixed it. show me how good you are for me, hm?" the camera zeroing in on you, positioned on his bed with your face pressed into the mattress, hands cuffed behind your back as chris gave your ass a tight squeeze, spreading your cheeks to let the camera capture your wet cunt.
"cunt's looking perfect.. so tight babygirl.. daddy's not even sure if you can take his cock.." he purrs
you have, so many times, but it was always such a nice stretch, chris loved seeing how your cunt would struggle to fit him, so tight it felt like it might reject him.
from outside of the camera's view, he collected saliva in his mouth to spit it out on your cunt, his fingers collecting it and pressing it inside of you, two of his knobby fingers scissoring you open, your cunt fluttering as squelches were picked up by the camera.
"so fucking wet.. you think this is wet enough for my cock baby? think you're ready to take me? look at that face.." he pointed the camera towards your face, revealing that he had gagged you with a cloth around your mouth.
all that could be heard were muffled pleas and moans, you were aching to have him inside you, nothing could compare to how his cock filled you.
he angled the camera down to capture how his fingers had since left your cunt and were now tugging on his cock, head an angry red and leaking precum. he gave himself a couple of squeezes, his cock twitching up, ready to plunge into you.
changbin couldn't believe what he was watching.
what he had thought was possibly a demo was none other than a sex tape. his cock straining against his jeans as he watched his friend line up with your cunt, hearing his breathy moans and grunts as he let curses sputter out. "shit.. greedy cunt.. sucking me right in. never satisfied with just the tip.. always gotta have the whole thing, huh babygirl? gotta have daddy's cock all to yourself."
he reached over to untie the gag, drool dripping from your lips as you whined, feeling him inch deeper and deeper within you.
changbin couldn't help it.
couldn't help the speed in which he threw his pants down, boxers following suit as he watched intently, hand beginning to tease his balls as he watch his friend set a steady pace.
"gonna stuff you full of cock.. such a cockslut.." chris said through gritted teeth
he gripped you by the cuffs, using it to hold on to as he fucked into you, trying his best to keep you in place for him. you were a babbling mess, moaning his name out like it was the only word you knew.
in moments like this, it truly was the only word you knew. nothing else was on your mind except the heavy drag of his deliciously thick cock.
and changbin felt he would cum when chris showed how your bodies connected, how his cock disappeared into your slick hole, pulling out to the tip just to slip in right it with minimal effort. it was like your cunt was made just for him, crafted to take his cock whenever he pleased.
changbin tried stroking himself to the pace chris had set, eyes glued on the way his friend thumbed at your asshole, you letting out a whimper at the feeling, so sensitive to his touch there.
"fuck. easy babygirl, don't clench on me like that.." he groaned as he felt your walls clamp on him, begging him to breed you, to leave you dripping with his cum.
so you clenched on him again, earning you a harsh slap on your ass cheek as he grunted, the sound of his skin slapping against yours echoing loudly.
the tips of changbin's ears were burning, thighs shaking as he tried to calm down but as soon as he saw you come undone on chris' cock, he lost it. his fingers becoming sticky with his cum as it shot out rapidly, barely giving him enough time to react as he made a mess all over himself and his chair. chris following suit in the video, pulling out slightly just to let his cum trickle down your thighs.
"i think this tight pussy can take some more.. hungry little pussy..wants to be bred by daddy, huh?" he said, his voice faltering from the intense orgasm.
changbin quickly closed his laptop, cutting the video off short, breathing out and leaning back in his chair. he knew he should return the disk inconspicuously the next time he went over to chris' place, but would he even notice one little cd was gone? seemed he had a whole collection..
what if he returned this one and swapped it out for another? these videos were meant to be watched, weren't they?
he was sure chan wouldn't miss one cd out of the many he seemed to have stashed away.
changbin would keep this one all to himself.
his little reward for being such a sweet friend.

It wasn’t often that Hawkins held activities that appealed to the whole town. The haunted houses around Halloween only appealed to the teenagers, the winter wonderlands at Christmas only mattered to young children, and the Thanksgiving Parade was something that everyone swears they got dragged along to against their will. Fourth of July in Hawkins was the one day a year that could be counted on to bring people of all ages out to Lover’s Lake for sunshine in the afternoon and fireworks at night.
Kids would splash and swim together in the shallow area of the lake while their parents watched from picnic blankets spread out not too far away. Teens and college students would come with their friends, the college kids drinking beer out in the open while the teenagers had to hide sips behind a tree or behind a friend’s back.
It was a tradition in the Munson household to grill up some hamburgers and bring them down to eat at the lake while they watched the fireworks. This particular year things seem to be off-track, though. Brittany had left the house early in the afternoon to run a few errands and pick up some charcoal for the grill so that Eddie could cook the hamburgers. After being gone far too long for just saying she was heading to a few stores, the phone rings and Brittany gives Eddie some sob story about how she ran into her sister who’s having a crisis and she needs to stay with her for a while. Eddie just sighed as he hung up, thinking to himself that at least Brittany wasn’t dumb enough to say it had something to do with work when banks are closed because it’s a national holiday. The only problem—because going out with his boys without his wife was certainly not a problem—he ran into now was that he didn’t have time to run out and get charcoal and make the burgers before they were going to leave for the lake.
Improvising, Eddie swings through a Burger King drive-through on the way, making sure the three of them would still keep their tradition intact as much as possible. The boys don’t seem to mind the differences between this year and last, maybe just glad to have a chance to hang out with their dad while they did something as cool as watch fireworks.
Eddie pulls his truck into the already-crowded parking lot and grabs the bag of fast food. As he and the boys get out, people walk by carrying coolers, picnic baskets, and a few types of inner tubes to use in the water. There are tons of people there—which Eddie expected. He takes Luke’s hand into his own and instructs Ryan to grab onto Luke’s other so they don’t lose anyone.
“Eddie!” A familiar voice calls out and has Eddie whipping around to spot its owner. He quickly sees the Sinclairs; Lucas is waving with his left hand to get Eddie’s attention, with Tiffany on his right hip.
Eddie nudges the boys. “Look who’s here!” Their eyes widen when they notice Uncle Lucas—who Eddie swears is his younger son’s namesake and certainly isn’t Luke Skywalker—along with Aunt Max and their baby. They practically pull Eddie across the lot to them.
Clapping Lucass hand and pulling him in for a modified bro-hug so he doesn’t crash into Tiffany, Eddie offers his long-time friend a grin. “How have you guys been?” he asks as he gives Max a hug.
“Good. Tired.” Max says with a laugh. “Tiffany slept through the night for about three days before she started teething.”
“Aww, poor thing,” Eddie coos, chuckling when Tiffany proves her mother’s point by grabbing Eddie’s finger and gnawing on it. “Don’t worry, it doesn’t last as long as it seems,” he reassures the new parents.
“We’re just headed out,” Lucas explains, kissing his daughter’s cheek. “It’s this little lady’s bedtime, and we’ve gotta get home before the fireworks start.”
“We have no idea how she’ll react to them, and we’re not about to conduct that experiment in public,” Max chimes in, making Eddie laugh again. “But we’ll see you at Ryan’s birthday party next week!”
The Munsons and Sinclairs part with goodbyes and more hugs before Eddie and the boys head towards the lake.
“I wanna sit near the water!” Luke insists, and Eddie winces at his high-pitched whine.
“Think we might get a better view of the fireworks if we sit up a little higher.” It’s the truth; plus, he won’t have to worry about Luke flinging himself into the cesspool that Hawkins calls a lake.
They find a shady spot right under a tree, and Eddie lays out three beach towels so they won’t have to sit in the dirt. He passes out the parchment-wrapped burgers and little bags of fries and sits back with a sigh. This is what he’d always wanted—family traditions with his boys. If only…
“Has anyone seen my sunscreen?”
Eddie freezes mid-bite, only remembering that he has a burger in his hand when his arm starts to ache from being in one position too long. He chews and swallows as though nothing happened, but his mind is racing.
It can’t be, he thinks. He’s almost certain that this is all in his imagination—God knows he can’t get you out of his head—until he hears someone say your name.
Just one look, Eddie convinces himself. A quick peek so I can see that it’s not actually her; just someone who sounds like her and has the same name…
His stomach flip-flops when he glances over and sees you in a low-cut red tank top and cutoff denim shorts. Oh, shit, it’s her. And she looks really, really good. He takes a deep breath, trying to gather his scrambled thoughts. He wishes he had a six-pack; a cold beer can always calm his jangled nerves. Okay, I can’t let the boys see. Once that happens, she’ll come over here and—
Eddie’s anxious thought is disrupted by the sight of one of the three guys you’re with applying sunscreen to the back of your neck. He’s got long, light brown hair—though not as long or luscious as his own, Eddie notes wryly.
Long Hair spends far too much time massaging the lotion into your skin. Calm down, Buffalo Bill. She doesn’t need that much sun protection.
The only other girl there plucks the lotion bottle from Long Hair’s hands, much to Eddie’s relief, and Eddie turns his attention back to his boys. “You guys ready for the fireworks?” He tries to keep the enthusiasm in his voice. “Sun’s setting, so they’ll be starting soon.”
Ryan nods, chewing on a fry. “I wonder what colors they’ll have,” he muses.
“Well, I wonder what would happen if I sat on a firework!” Luke pipes up with a mouthful of burger. “Like, would I fly into the sky? Or would it blow up in my butt?”
Eddie laughs loudly. “My money’s on the second one, little man.”
Your laughter floats over to Eddie on the breeze blowing off of the lake. He mentally berates himself, thinking of how he should be enjoying this family tradition with his boys and not be wondering if any of those guys you’re with are your boyfriend or if you’re sleeping with any of them or if…
“Daddy, what’s wrong?”
“Hmm?” Eddie looks up at Ryan’s worried face and frowns. “What do you mean?”
“Your lip,” Ryan says, pointing at the bottom half of his father’s face. “You were chewing on it, and it started bleeding.”
“Silly me,” Eddie says with a forced chuckle. He grabs one of the napkins from the Burger King bag and dabs at his lower lip. Luke has shifted to watch a game of volleyball happening on a court that someone set up and it gives Eddie the opportunity to scoot closer between his boys, so his back is to you and your friends. Maybe now he’ll be able to focus.
It works for a while. The three of them finish their burgers and Luke is immediately complaining that he’s still hungry. Eddie tells the five-year-old he has to wait and tries to play a game with them to distract his youngest son from his rumbling tummy before the fireworks start.
“Simon says put your hands on your head. Simon says give your brother a high five,” Eddie instructs as the boys eagerly await the next command. “Simon says stand up. Sit back down. Ah! I didn’t say ‘Simon says!’”
“I win!” Ryan cheers as Luke sprawls out on his beach towel with a groan. The familiar twinkling tune of an ice cream truck approaching has him bolting up, though.
“Ice cream?” Luke stands up and balances on his tippy toes to get a better view at the parking lot. When his suspicions are confirmed, he hops up and down. “Ice cream! Daddy, can we get some? Pleeeeease?”
“Okay, okay,” Eddie says as if it’s a hardship for him to indulge his boys when in reality he’d already planned on getting ice cream for them at some point tonight. “Get me some too, okay?”
“Cookies and cream?” Ryan asks, citing his dad’s favorite flavor.
“Atta boy,” Eddie says, handing him a ten-dollar bill. Luke starts to walk away and towards the truck, but Eddie stops him with an, “ah-ah-ah. It’s crowded here. I don’t want you to lose each other so hold your brother’s hand.” When Luke opens his mouth to respond, a frown creasing his forehead and his nose wrinkling up, Eddie halts the whining before it even happens. “Hold your brother’s hand.”
“Fine,” Luke huffs and offers his hand to Ryan in the most limp, unenthusiastic manner possible.
The two walk off and Eddie adjusts his position so he can keep an eye on his sons as they snake their way through the crowd and over to the ice cream truck that already has a line of a few kids in front of it. But from this new angle, Eddie can also see you out of the corner of his eye. A breath rushes out of him as if he’d been holding it since his eyes were last on you. Seeing you makes Eddie calmer and more tense at the same time. As always, your presence brings him comfort and happiness. But you’re with a bunch of guys your own age and the jealousy monster is rearing its ugly head like nobody’s business. Eddie looks down at his lap and his eye catches on his wedding ring, glinting in the fading sun.
“You’re a fucking hypocrite, Munson,” Eddie mumbles to himself.
Unable to not look in your direction—I swear to God she’s got something magnetic about her, he thinks—Eddie sees you gazing out over the lake. You raise your hand above your eyes to shield them from the bright, falling sun and look around the whole area where people have settled in to have fun. Eddie’s just about to look away, not wanting to risk being caught staring at you if you spot him, when he sees one of your guy friends walking over to you. It’s not Long Hair from before. This guy is shorter and as muscly as the other guy was scrawny. Eddie can hear him calling your name, but you must be too caught up in your thoughts to hear him. Muscles reaches out and touches your arm to get your attention. As if seeing him just touching you isn’t bad enough, Eddie watches as you turn around to face Muscles, but the guy still doesn’t take his hand off of you. The tanned, muscular hand is slowly moving down your arm and a knot grows in Eddie’s stomach. If this asshole takes your hand, Eddie feels like he might throw up the burger he’s barely started digesting.
Luckily, you move to walk back towards your group of friends before Muscles’s hand could reach yours. Eddie feels twenty pounds lighter. He turns back to look towards the parking lot and sees his sons approaching, Ryan holding an ice cream in each hand, and Luke holding one and holding onto the back of Ryan’s red t-shirt with the other hand. By the way his youngest son is rolling his eyes as they approach, Eddie realizes it was Ryan’s idea that Luke holds on to him.
Ryan hands Eddie his scoop of cookies and cream, plopping back down to enjoy the mint chip cone he’d bought for himself.
“DAD! OH MY GOD, DAD!!” Luke shouts, and Eddie nearly drops his cone.
“What? What’s wrong?”
Luke points down towards the left. “Look at that doggy! He’s so cute!” Sure enough, a middle-aged couple is walking a golden retriever along the lake. Both boys sit up a bit straighter and watch as the owners toss a tennis ball into the water and the dog eagerly paddles after it.
As Eddie’s heart rate steadies to a normal pace—seriously, he’s going to have to talk with Luke about using his “emergency voice” when it is not an emergency—he finds his gaze drifting back to you. He’s just in time to see Long Hair take the baseball cap from his own head and put it on top of yours. Eddie silently wills you to take it off, chuck it into the lake, set it on fire…but he’s utterly disappointed when you adjust it to your head and wear it proudly.
Would she wear something of mine if I gave it to her? He silently wonders. He’s so engrossed in whatever flirtatious games you’re playing that he barely hears his older son trying to get his attention.
“Daddy, your ice cream is leaking over the cone. Daddy! It’s getting runny and gonna drip! Daddy?”
“And whaddya keep looking that way for? The lake is that way!” Luke chimes in, face covered in cotton candy ice cream.
“Y-Yeah, sorry, guys,” Eddie mumbles, but he keeps his gaze locked on you. A blonde guy wearing a puka shell necklace like he’s on Hawaii Five-0 points to a beach volleyball net that’s just been vacated, and you and your friends follow him.
It’s two versus two; Muscles is serving as a referee for this game. You and Puka Shell are on a team, and Long Hair and the only other girl in your group stand on the other side of the net. You serve, the girl returns it, Puka Shell lobbies it to you, and you spike it back, surprising yourself.
Eddie clenches his fist until he feels the ice cream cone begin to break when your teammate wraps his arms around you in a hug. Jesus H. Christ, whatever happened to high-fives? But he knows that he’d envy any little touch these guys got from you.
He tries to distract himself, asking Ryan if he’s excited for his birthday, but he’s only half-listening.
“What do you want for a gift?” he asks, raising his eyebrows when his sons look at him curiously. “What?”
“I just said I wanted a new Lego set,” Ryan says. He’s not annoyed, just confused. “Are you feeling okay, Daddy?”
“Maybe he has scurvy,” Luke suggests, “like the pirates in that movie we watched.”
“‘M fine,” Eddie reassures them. It takes a second for him to register what Luke’s suggested. “Did you just say I had scurvy?”
There’s no time for Luke to elaborate—not that Eddie necessarily wants him to—before your joyous squeal filters through the air. It seems as though you and Puka Shell won the game, because he’s twirling you around triumphantly.
Does she want him picking her up? Touching her? Eddie’s inner monologue runs wild. Okay, she’s laughing and smiling, so that’s good. She’s fine with it; yeah, so that’s fine. Everything’s fine. We’re all fine here. She’s with her friends, I’m a married man here with my kids, and that’s all there is to it.
The whistle and boom of the first firework lighting the sky is a welcome distraction. Ryan lets out a gasp as he stares in awe of the red shooting through the dark sky. Luke scoots backwards and plops himself in Eddie’s lap. He leans against Eddie’s chest and lays his head back on his shoulder as he becomes engrossed in the spectacle. It’s been a while since Luke’s sat in his lap like this, so it brings a smile to Eddie’s face.
Mixtures of red, white, and blue fireworks crackle through the air, occasionally making shapes other than the usual spherical pattern that shimmies down. Eddie looks over at Ryan, who has a bright grin on his face. The red firework currently popping off leaves a scarlet shadow behind on his older son’s face. Beyond Ryan, Eddie glimpses a view of you watching the fireworks. You’re still with your friends, but you’re sitting a little bit in front of them with your legs crossed and your elbows resting on your knees. There’s a peaceful joy on your face and it makes Eddie’s heart give a few thumps harder than usual. Your friends behind you are talking but you couldn’t seem to care less about what they’re saying. You’re solely focused on the show in the sky. Eddie looks back at his kids and sees them just as mesmerized by the bursting colors. Luke snuggles back against his chest and Eddie is filled with warmth. He wraps his arms loosely around Luke and rests his head against his son’s smaller one as he looks up and joins in watching the celebration.
By the time the fireworks are done, Eddie’s pretty sure his hearing is damaged. Didn’t I used to play in a metal band? Jesus, I’m getting old. Luke springs up from his dad’s lap and Ryan stands up and stretches his arms out over his head, releasing a long yawn.
“How was that?” Eddie asks as he collects the beach towels they had been sitting on.
“So cool!” Luke says, jumping as if to emphasize his point.
“I like the ones that make the fizzy noises as they go out,” Ryan says as he picks up the empty Burger King bag and balls it up in his hands.
“My favorite are the ones that go pheeeeew,” Luke attempts to mimic the whistle, “then BANG!”
“What about you, Daddy?” Ryan asks.
“Hmm,” Eddie hums as he considers the question. “The ones that were shaped like circles. They looked pretty cool. Okay, now come on and take my hands, guys. It’s gonna be like a stampede getting out of here.” Eddie tucks the towels under one arm and offers a hand to each son.
They only make it about five steps before Luke is groaning. “It’s going to take forever to—hey! Look!”
Both Eddie and Ryan turn their heads to look in the direction that Luke is pointing. Eddie’s heart stalls in his chest. Luke’s grinning from ear to ear as he notices you walking with your friends. Ryan gives a gasp of delight when his eyes land on you as well.
“I’m gonna go say hi!” Luke exclaims, and he’s already halfway to you before Eddie can even open his mouth.
“Luke, I—ugh, shit.” Eddie mumbles the last part under his breath as he leads Ryan by the hand over to you and your friends. Luke is already in your arms by the time they get there.
“And then the red one went higher than all the others! And I think it had the loudest boom, too,” Luke is saying. You look up and the brightest smile lights up your face as you see Eddie and Ryan standing there.
“Hey, strangers,” you greet and Ryan dives in for a hug. You chuckle and wrap your arms around him too.
Long Hair is standing to the side, slightly closer to Eddie than he is to you, and the rest of your friends are behind you. He gives a small chuckle at the intensity of the hugs the kids give you before turning to Eddie and saying, “You want a hug, too?”
You jab Long Hair in the ribs with your elbow, but that only makes him chuckle more and wrap an arm around you to pull you back against him. This time, Eddie notices, you don’t have the same enthusiastic grin that you had earlier in the evening. It takes everything in his power not to pry you from his arms.
“I’ll see you guys on Monday, yeah?” you ask the Munson men, desperate to fill the silence.
“Usual time and place,” Eddie says. The words would usually be accompanied by a wink or a smirk, but something about being around these college guys is grating on his nerves and it’s the closest he’s felt to being intimidated since he was a senior in high school—the first time.
“Bye!” both boys call and wave at you before walking away with their dad. You wave in return, but it looks pitiful compared to their enthusiastic ones.
As soon as they’re out of earshot, you pull out of your friend's arm and spin around to face him. “Peter, do you ever shut up?”
“Calm down,” Peter says, exhaling a sound that’s a mixture of a laugh and a scoff. “This guy’s old enough to be your dad.”
Tony smirks and rests a muscled arm on Paul’s shoulder. “Maybe she’s into the whole ‘daddy’ thing.”
The eye roll you give them is involuntary. “You guys are assholes!”
Turning on your flip flop heel, you spin in the other direction and jog a bit until you catch up with Eddie and the boys.
“Hey! Where are you going?” Paul asks.
A soft, gentle hand lands on Eddie’s shoulder and he looks back to see you offering him an apologetic smile.
“I’m sorry if my friends were weird…and I’m sorry if I’m making this weirder.”
Eddie’s entire demeanor changes; despite having to watch you flirt with those douchebags—and then being mocked by them—he can’t help but soften towards you. “Nah, Sweetheart, you’re good. Be safe tonight, okay?” Be safe? Seriously, Munson? What are you, her grandpa?
You don’t seem to notice the way he bites his tongue, trying to quell the surge of embarrassment. “I always am,” you say reassuringly. “See you Monday?”
Eddie nods as you turn around to head back to your friends, utterly oblivious to the way your natural beauty outshines the brightest firework tonight. You’re everything he could ever want, but you’re young and gorgeous with a million better prospects than an old married man.
He takes one last look at you before he brings the boys to the car. The passenger seat is empty, and he wears a sad smile when he thinks about you sitting there, excitedly chatting with him and the kids about the evening. Eddie would rest his hand on your thigh while he drives back home, and once Ryan and Luke are sound asleep, you and Eddie could make some fireworks of your own.
Shaking his head, Eddie pulls out from the parking spot and braces himself for the holiday traffic. He grumbles some swear words under his breath, flicking on the radio to the first station that doesn’t have commercials.
“…say I’m not so tough, just because I’m in love with an uptown girl.”
He leans back in his seat and taps out the rhythm on the steering wheel. Funny, he’s never really been a Billy Joel fan, but something about this song reminds him of—
“Dad! Luke’s looking at me!”
“He looked at me first!”
“Both of you close your eyes,” Eddie orders. He can’t see whether or not they listened, but the squabbling stopped, so he’ll consider it a victory.
“Uptown girl, she’s my uptown girl…”

“You ready?”
Javi sat himself down in the driver’s seat and turned his gaze towards you.
“I think so, I didn’t find anything in the truck that indicated any sort of serial killer tendencies, so I’m feeling a little more confident I’ll live to see another day after you take me home.”
Rolling his eyes and shaking his head, Javi placed the keys in the ignition and started up the truck. The radio softly played in the background as you very thoroughly explained the directions on your 3 minute drive back to your apartment. As you reached the end of Maria’s street, you began pointing, “Okay, so you’re gonna take a left at the stop sign, and then-“
“Cariño,” Javi replied, gripping the wrist of your pointed finger and pulling it back down into your lap. “I promise I didn’t forget your very detailed directions from 30 seconds ago. Left at the stop sign, turn right on 3rd Street and then another right just past the car wash.” His hand shifted to interlace his fingers with yours and gave your hand a slight squeeze, as if to reassure you that he really did remember. Although you sat quietly for the next two minutes, feeling a little embarrassed by excessive need for control, Javi’s hand never left yours.
Finally, you pulled into the parking lot of your apartment as Javi turned to look at you. “See? Promise I told you I’d get you back.” You hand unlocked with his to undo your seatbelt and give him a playful shove, causing both of you to smile.
“Do you wanna come up?”
The words had come out of your mouth before your brain even had time to think about it. Shit, shit, shit. Was that way too eager?
“Sorry, I just meant-“
“Yeah, I’d love to, if uh, if that’s okay.” You looked at each other with looks of relief. “Plus it would make me feel better knowing that you made it into your apartment okay. Don’t want you falling asleep in the stairwell because your leg gave out on you.”
“If I do, it’s coming back on you. You’re the one who cleared me to walk, remember?”
Javi opened up the driver’s side door, hopped out, and made his way around the truck. You did the same, opening the passenger side, but before you could get yourself out of the car, Javi was standing in front of you, holding out his hand to help you down.
“You know I can-“
“I know you can get out of the car yourself. I also know you can get up the stairs by yourself. Believe me, you have proven that if there’s anything that you want to do, I’m sure you’d figure out a way to do it. It won’t kill you to let someone help you, Osita. Please?” He motioned back down to his extended hand.
You knew he was right. You hated to admit it, but he was. Growing up, you had spent your childhood proving to your brothers you were tough enough to fit in. In school, you were determined to get good grades and get into a good college. Your whole career was centered around giving every piece of yourself to help teach your students without giving a second thought to yourself. Hell, you wasted 3 years of your life with Paul trying to prove to yourself that you were worthy of being loved by someone who couldn’t have given a shit about you. You were the helper. The doer. The fixer. Never once had you considered the fact that there would be someone who would do the same for you.
“Okay. Thank you.” You replied sheepishly, barley raising your voice above a whisper. Your hand extended to meet his as he gently guided you out of the truck. You started walking towards the apartment stairs, Javi trailing closely behind you.
“I’ve started to pick up on some Spanish since being here, and I’m trying my best to learn more. I’ve heard hermosa and cariño, but I’ve never heard Osita before. What does that one mean, big pain in my ass?” You turned back to look at Javi, giving him a mischievous look as he started to smirk.
“Osita means little bear. Someone who’s sweet, funny, maybe a little bit stubborn-“
Half way up your next step, you stopped to turn the entirety of your body around to face Javi in shock. “Are you serious?”
“Would you have rather me called you a pain in my ass?” He responded laughing, even though there was a slight tinge of panic in his face, thinking you were upset with the nickname.
“No it’s just, I, really? It really means little bear?” You stared at him in disbelief.
“Uh, yeah?” Javi now looked even more confused.
“You’ve gotta be kidding me. My family’s nickname for me as long as I can remember has been bear cub. Growing up, my favorite animal was bears because I was obsessed with the Chicago Cubs, and my parents agreed that the obsession matched what they lovingly deemed my tenacious personality.”
“I’ve got you read like a book, Osita.” Javi rested his hands on his hips, tilted his head and winked at you.
“Oh shut up.” You scoffed and rolled your eyes as you turned your back to Javi to continue walking up the stairs to your apartment. “You haven’t even read the first chapter.”
“Well, then I can’t wait to read the rest of it.”
Knowing Javi was behind you, only able to see your backside, you bit down on your lip and let a grin spread wide enough across your face to make your cheeks hurt.
Finally reaching your door, you shuffled through your bag to pull out your keys and unlock your door, revealing the interior of your apartment. You set your keys and bag down in the dish that sat on the table at the entrance of your doorway. Javi followed, letting the door shut behind him, watching as you neatly set away your belongings.
“Welcome!” You said, giving a Vanna White like gesture to the inside of your home. I’m really sorry, I really have to go to the bathroom, but make yourself at home and I can give you a tour in just a second. There’s beer in the fridge if you want any!” You made your way through your living room and down the hallway, peeking your head out around the corner. “Don’t get lost in here.”
Javi looked around as he heard the bathroom door click shut behind you. Waking through the dining area of the kitchen near the door, he was surprised how warm and homey your apartment felt, despite having only been there a few months. He wandered into the living room, resting his hands against the back of your couch, covered in pillows and neatly folded blankets. In front of the couch was a TV, sitting on top of a stand filled with various CD’s and VHS tapes organized in color order. On the top shelf was your music collection, Javi noting your extensive collection of CD’s from Queen and The Beatles. Underneath, your movie collection was stashed, containing both an entire Indiana Jones and Star Wars box set, along with what looked to be like a few animated movies and several other classics.
A picture of you and your family at the beach sat on top of a bookshelf next to the TV. Javi picked it up to get a closer look, taking a little extra time to stare at how good you looked in the yellow bikini top you had on. He roamed closer to the hallway at the end of the living room, peeking down to see another doorway that he assumed was the bedroom. The bathroom door was still closed, and with a burst of confidence and curiosity, Javi quickly snuck down the hallway to try and take a peek before you came back out.
Your bed faced the doorway, covered in a light yellow comforter and cream colored sheets. Hidden among the pillows was a very worn and tattered stuffed bear, flopped over due to its lack of stuffing. Taking a few more steps through the doorway, Javi noticed a dresser across the room with a mirror on top to the right of the bed, scattered with a few more photos and accessories, all carefully organized. Across from that was a closet left wide open, with an uncharacteristic pile of clothes sitting at the bottom of it.
“Find what you were looking for?”
Javi just about jumped out of his skin as he turned around to see you with your arms crossed, standing in the doorway.
“Jesus Christ, you scared the shit out of me.”
“Ya know, for a former DEA agent, you are not very sneaky.”
“No sorry, I wasn’t trying to… shit, I’m sorry I-”
“Javi, it’s okay.” You could tell he was clearly flustered. “I really don’t care at all, I trust you. Really it’s okay. I didn’t mean to scare you like that. You sure you don’t need the bathroom next because I’m pretty sure you were about to shit your pants.” You sat down on the edge of your bed, laughing to yourself as you watched Javi regain his composure. With each breath he took to calm himself, the air in your bedroom grew thicker with tension. His eyes looked you up and down, tongue darting out between his lips.
“Well, the only thing I did find that surprised me was the pile of clothes on the floor, considering everything else in your apartment looks like it’s set up to be a model home.” He began to move closer, his gaze fixed on you.
Your eyes mirrored his, soaking up every detail of the broad handsome body in front of you. “Well I was trying to pick out something to wear today, and I ended up going through more than a few outfit changes”
He was now standing in front of you, his deep brown eyes piercing yours. “Yeah? And why’s that?”
“Because I, um, I-”
“Why, hermosa?”
“I’d been thinking about you all week. I wanted to look good when I saw you today.”
You stood up from the edge of the bed, your bodies now inches away from each other.
“Osita, fuck, you looked gorgeous today. I couldn’t take my eyes off you from the moment I saw you.”
His big hands slowly slid down the length of your body.
“You would have looked amazing in anything you wore…”
His hands stopped at your hips, reaching around your frame to grab under the curve of your ass, leaning his body into yours, placing a kiss on your neck. He left a few more on the way up towards your ear.
“… but I bet you’ll look even better when you have nothing on.”
Your arms wrapped around his neck, as he swiftly lifted you up, causing you to wrap your legs around the small of his back. This kiss was different from the one you had shared just hours before. Your mouths met one another’s in an intense passion, crashing together as you ran your hands through the curls of Javi’s hair, pulling him closer into you. You let out a moan, just long enough for Javi’s tongue to enter between your lips. Walking towards the bed, Javi laid you down and began planting a trail of wet kisses down your body. He reached your breasts, pulling the fabric of your dress down to expose them, noting you weren’t wearing a bra as they freed from your dress. “Jesus, no bra? Fucking gorgeous tits.” He hissed. His kisses then continued, stopping at your nipples, sucking and flicking each one with his tongue, making a “pop” sound after each time his mouth left your tits.
The throbbing between your legs was intensifying, causing breathy moans to escape from your mouth. Javi was sitting on his knees at the edge of the bed, his hands and kisses trailing down your stomach, coming closer and closer to your entrance.
“Javi,” you moaned. “Please touch me.”
Javi paused his trail of kisses and looked up with a devilish grin. “Patience, Osita.” He slowly pushed up the hem of your dress, his hands grazing your thighs. Hooking his fingers around the edges of your drenched panties, he pulled them down, leaving them hanging around your ankles.
“Hermosa, fuck, you’re so wet for me.” You could feel the throb of your pussy as your wetness pooled around your heat.
“You want me to touch you, baby?” You nodded rapidly, letting out nothing but a whine at how badly you needed him to ease the ache between your legs.
“Words, Hermosa.”
“Please, Javi, please touch me.”
His fingers teased around your entrance, gathering the slick and bringing it up to circle around your clit. He circled slowly, watching you gasp  as his fingers traced through your folds. Finally, he sunk one digit inside you, making you whine as you threw your head back in pleasure.
“Such a pretty fucking pussy.” Javi mewled as he began to pump his finger in and out as his thumb traced around your clit. Slowly, he slipped in a second finger causing you to grasp at fist fulls of your bed sheets. His fingers felt so deep inside you, deliciously curved to hit that spot inside you that made you squirm in delight. You could feel the pleasure building in you. With the pressure on your clit and the rhythm he had pumping in you, you could feel yourself tightening around his fingers. Your moans of his name became louder, a trail of “fuck, Javi” trailed from your lips as he hit the perfect spot inside of you.
“You’re so fucking wet, do you feel how wet you are for me?” Javi’s voice rasped.
“Yes, Javi,” you whimpered. “Fuck, you feel so good.” You could feel the pressure beginning to build in you, causing you to clench down harder around Javi’s fingers, edging closer and closer towards your release.
“I know you’re close, Osita. It’s okay, you can let go. Come for me, baby.”
That sent you over the edge. You felt yourself gush around Javi’s fingers, screaming his name as your cunt throbbed in delight. You breathed heavily, panting as you came down from your high, Javi’s finger’s still slowly pulsing inside of you as you rode out your orgasm.
“Did so good for me, Osita. Been thinking about this all day. Wanted to make you feel good.” You whined as Javi’s fingers left you, making his way back up to engulf your moans as he kissed you. You could feel the bulge of his hard cock in his jeans rub against you as he pulled your mouth closer to his.
Javier Peña had arguably just given you the best orgasam of your life, yet you craved more. The feeling of him hard, pressed against you had you reeling. After what he had done to you with just his hands, you had no doubt this man could make you feel things you had never felt before. Except there was one problem.
“Javi?”
“Yes, Osita?”
“I… fuck-”
“Osita, are you okay? Did I do something wrong?” Javi had immediately pulled away from you, sensing the change in your demeanor.
“No! Oh my god, no Javi! You just made me come harder than I ever have in my entire life. It’s just that… Oh my god this is so stupid.” You buried your face in both your hands to try and hide your embarrassment.
Javi pulled your hands off your face, brushed a piece of hair out of your face and slid his hand down to cup the side of your face. “Whatever you have to tell me isn’t stupid. Please, tell me. It’s okay.”
You took a deep breath. “I like you, Javi. Like, a lot. I know we haven’t known each other for that long, but you are the most handsome man I have ever met and you’re sweet and caring and I really like spending time with you.” You paused. Javi looked at you, curious as to how what you were saying was stupid. He nodded at you, knowing you had more to say. “I just, ugh, I just, I really want to see you again and spend more time with you, and believe me, I REALLY want to have sex with you, I just don’t want you to think I’m a terrible person for wanting to fuck before we’ve even gone on like, a date. I haven’t had sex in a long time and I don’t know, I promise I’m not normally this type of person and I-“
Before you could finish, Javi’s mouth was back on yours, swallowing the rest of your sentence with a tender kiss. You had only spent a few hours together, yet it had felt like you had known each other for years. He had watched you laugh and smile and she listened intently to what he had to say. You radiated a genuine warmth and compassion, patience and understanding as Javi opened up a brief glimpse about his past. You were the first person who had looked at him and hadn’t seen the broken, tired man he had written himself off to be. Now here you were, trying to apologize for seeming like you may not be enough for him? You were something special, and Javier Peña knew at that moment he would spend as long as he needed to try to prove that to you.
“That’s it?” Javi asked you laughing.
“What do you mean, that’s it?” It was now your turn to look confused, surprised at how nonchalant Javier was about what you had just said.
“That’s what you were so worried about telling me?” You nodded your head and looked away. Javi grasped under your chin to pull your gaze back to meet his. “Osita, I meant what I said earlier when I told you that this was the best day I’ve had in a really long time. You’re gorgeous and smart and funny as hell. I would be an absolute idiot to say I didn’t want to see you again.”
“Really?”
“Yes, really. Believe me, I want to fuck you so bad too, and I definitely don’t think any less of you because of it. It’s been a while for me too, and if you don’t want to do anything else right now, I totally understand. I’ll wait until you’re ready, Osita.”
You could feel your heart bursting out of your chest. You were so relieved you could cry. This man was really too good to be true. Grabbing Javi’s face, you rolled yourself on top of him and kissed him with intensity. You could feel both of your smiles as your mouths met. Javi ran his fingers through your hair as you pulled up to look at him.
“You promise?”
“I promise, Osita.”
“Okay, good, because I’m pretty sure if I go any longer without having your dick inside me, I will spontaneously combust.”
You both laughed as Javi rolled his eyes and shook his head. “You’re fucking ridiculous, Osita.”
“I’m being serious. No man has ever made me come that hard and you expect me to go about my day not wondering what else you have to offer?”
Javi sat up, pulling you into his lap so that you were straddling him as his hands wrapped around your hips. “Never, huh?” His voice now at a low whisper, sending shivers down your spine. You could feel the heat between your legs as you gently pushed yourself harder into Javi’s lap.
“Scout’s honor.” You winked as you ran your fingers through the dark curls of his hair, bringing your breasts closer to his face. He moved his hands from your hips to knead the soft mounds, sucking each one before moving his mouth down to lick at your pebbled nipples.
You could feel how hard his dick was straining against the zipper of his jeans. Your hands began to roam down his chest, unbuttoning his shirt, exposing the soft, tanned skin underneath. Once the buttons were undone, he shed the shirt behind him on the bed, then prompting you to lift up your arms and take off your dress, leaving you completely naked sitting in his lap.
“Fuck, hermosa. You’re so fucking beautiful.” He said, almost half whispering to himself. He ran his hands up and down your body, reaching down between your legs to draw lazy circles around your clit.
Flinging you off his lap and throwing you back down onto the bed, he kneeled at the edge, face to face with your dripping heat. Propped up on your elbows, you watched as he dove in like a man starved. He wrapped his arms under your thighs as he licked a long strip, making you gasp. He slowly worked his way around your folds, sucking and pressing into in a way that had you bucking your hips into his face. Seeing how worked up you were, Javi slowly slipped a finger inside, easing some of the emptiness you were so desperate to have filled. You moaned his name as he worked around your sensitive nub, licking and sucking like his life depended on it. Again, you found yourself on the brink of pleasure, feeling it build in your stomach as Javi continued to work you up. You ran your hands through his hair, pulling gently on his curls as you reached your breaking point, moans filling the walls of your room.
“You taste so fucking good, hermosa.” Javi looking up at you grinning, his mustache covered in your slick. “Anyone ever made you come like that before? Taken care of you like that?”
Still blissed out and panting, you shook your head. This man was a menace.
“You still want me to fuck you, Osita?”
“Please, Javi. Please, holy shit I want you so bad.”
“Needy girl. I’ll take care of you baby, don’t worry.”
Standing up and looking over you, Javi undid his belt, the clanging of the buckle slowly followed by the dropping of his pants, leaving him in his underwear. You sat up to palm his boxer briefs, his bulge hard and heavy in your hands. Kissing his stomach, you hooked your fingers underneath the waistband and shimmied them down off his hips.
Oh, fuck.
What revealed itself was Javi’s dick, bobbing after being freed, hard and leaking with precum from its tip. After feeling him rub against you and cupping him from outside his underwear you had a suspicion he was bigger than normal, and boy, were you right. Holy shit, his dick was big and it was gorgeous. The thought of it filling you made your pussy throb.
You reached over to your nightstand and opened the drawer to pull out the box of condoms pushed in the back corner. Javi took them from you, opening the wrapper with his teeth and tossing it off to the floor on the side of the bed. He rolled the condom down his length before lining up with your entrance. He leaned down into you as he ran his cock through your wet folds.
“You ready for me, cariño?”
You nodded and both of you gasped as you felt the sweet stretch of Javi inside you. Javi had already made you come twice- any wetter and you might as well have been a faucet. Even then, the feeling of him pushing his length into you filled you up in a way you couldn’t have even imagined. After slowly making his way all the way in, you whimpered as you felt him bottom out.
“Javi, holy fuck.”
“I know baby, I know. Such a good girl, Osita. Taking me so fucking well.”
He began to slowly increase his pace, letting you adjust to his size. Your jaw was slack as he continued to thrust into you, filling you up in a way you had never felt before. You moaned breathlessly as Javi brought his hand up to your mouth, bringing his thumb in between your lips and swirling your tongue around it. He took out his thumb and brought it down to your clit, circling it as he continued to pound into you. At this point, the sounds coming from you were absolutely obscene as pleasure radiated through your body.
“Doing so good for me, baby. Fuck, you’re so tight and wet.” He grabbed behind your knees and pushed them up towards your chest. The new angle hit in a sweet spot that made you whimper his name as his hands dug into your hips.
“You feel so good, Javi. Oh my god. Fuck.”
You looked up at him, sweat glistening on his forehead, making his dark curls stick to him. His grunts were accompanied by a devilish grin, loving how you were coming unraveled for him. You could feel the pressure building in your belly once again, expletives falling from your mouth. Javi leaned down into you, biting at your neck and whispering in your ear.
“I’m not gonna last much longer, Hermosa. You feel too fucking good. Need you to come again. Think you can be a good girl and soak my dick when you come?” His filthy words were simultaneously accompanied by his thrusts hitting deeper into you and his thumb rubbing faster against your clit. You nodded and moaned, completely at a loss for words with how good you felt. You were so close to the edge, his cock stretching you out in a way that had you seeing stars as he hit that sweet spot in you over and over again. Your legs shifted to wrap around his back, wanting to pull him as close into you as possible. “That’s it. Give me one more, baby. Come for me.”
“Fuck, fuck, fuck, Javi, I’m gonna-”
You snapped, your orgasm flooding your body as you screamed his name. Pleasure waved through you as you could feel yourself gushing down around his cock. You felt like your soul had left your body as you rode your high, breathless and blissed out.
Javi’s thrusts became faster and sloppier, knowing you had reached your end, now chasing his own. After only a few more pumps, he pushed deep into you one last time, and came with a loud moan, spilling into the condom. He slumped into you as you both breathed heavily, needing to catch your breath before either of you spoke. He slowly pulled himself out, causing you to shutter at the loss inside of you. He took off the condom and threw it in the trash next to your nightstand before crawling back up in bed to kiss you, your breathing still shaky and heavy. You laid your head on his tanned chest and looked up at his sweet, brown eyes staring back at you.
“What the fuck…” you laughed to yourself, euphoria running through your veins from the magic you had just experienced.
“You okay, Osita?”
“Javi, I am more than okay. I don’t think I have ever been more okay. My only complaint is that I’m about to look like Bambi when I try to get up because I’m not sure if my legs are gonna work.”
Javi chuckled to himself as he ran his fingers through your hair. “Well I appreciate the compliment, cariño. If I wasn’t such an old fuckin’ man, I’d be ready for round 2 right now, just gimme a few.”
You shot up, now propped up on your elbows. You cocked your head slightly. “I’m sorry, did you just say round 2? Are you trying to tell me that there’s more of this that’s about to happen?”
Javi stared back at you smirking, but a little bit confused. “Is that okay with you?”
You dramatically flopped back down onto your back, giggling and covering your face. “Is that okay with me? Is the sky blue? Is the grass green? You’re joking, right?”
“Not unless you want me to be, Osita."
“Well, I am not mad about it one bit.” You scooted over to him, now laying your naked body on top of his, cupping his face and kissing him. He ran his hands along your back, reaching down to grab a handful of your ass, kneading the soft flesh in his palms. Suddenly, you felt a gurgle underneath you, realizing that Javi’s stomach was grumbling. You pulled away from your kiss, laughing.
“Sorry…” Javi mumbled.
“Are you hungry?”
“No it’s fine, just ignore it.”
His stomach rumbled again, this time louder than the first. You sat up, trying to contain your giggles. “Javi, you can tell me if you’re hungry.”
“Okay, maybe I am a little hungry.”
“Good, because I am too. Something was a little too distracting to keep me from eating at Maria’s.” You leaned in to kiss him once more, then nibbled at his ear to whisper “The distraction was well worth not eating.”
Your words sent shivers down your spine, as he let out a low grunt. “Osita, fuck, you sure we have to eat?” His stomach grumbled again.
“Your stomach says otherwise. Don’t worry, I’ll make it worth the wait” you winked, and shuffled yourself out of your bed. You reached down besides your bed, where all of your clothes had fallen off during your… activities. You shuffled your panties back on and reached down for one more item. “Can I put this on?” You said, holding up his unbuttoned shirt.
Javi nodded, the primal part of his brain igniting as he watched you slip on his shirt, leaving it completely unbuttoned. The image of you in nothing but his clothing left him speechless, his brain short circuiting. You. In his shirt. The thought of you walking around your apartment wearing his clothes had him half hard already. He wanted nothing more than to rip it right off you and pull you back into bed, but you were right, he really did need to eat.
He shuffled out of bed to join you, only putting back on his underwear and following you into the kitchen. You began shuffling through your fridge and your pantry, muttering under your breath, embarrassed by the lack of food you had.
Tumblr media
“Okay, I don’t have a ton of choices. I’m really sorry, tomorrow is normally my grocery shopping day and with it being the last 2 weeks of school, there’s been a lot more take out than I’d like to admit. So let’s see…” you opened up the pantry and fridge again, pulling out items you deemed acceptable enough.
“I have…. Pasta, peanut butter and jelly, cereal, 3 eggs, an apple that probably needed to get thrown out a week ago and Mac and Cheese. I promise I don’t always eat like an 8 year old. I actually am a decent cook, next time you’re here I promise I’ll have better food”
Javi leaned his hip against the kitchen counter, smiling at the thought of “next time.”
“I couldn’t tell you the last time I had Mac and Cheese. Honestly, sounds delicious.”
“Alright, one box of my finest Mac and Cheese coming right up!”
You reached down into a cabinet to pull out a pot and fill it up with water and set it on the stove. As you turned around to set it down on the burner, you felt Javi’s chest press up against your back and his hands snake around your front. He leaned over and rested his chin on your shoulder after placing a quick kiss there first. “Do you need any help?”
“Yeah this stuff is REALLY hard to make. It’s gonna be HOURS before we eat because of all the prep time.” Still gripping you around your front, Javi playfully shook you, knowing there was really nothing he could do.
“Just wanted to offer. I feel bad not helping.”
You twisted your body around so that it was now facing him, feeling tiny drowning in his broadness. You snuck your hands around his waist to match his.
“It’s Mac and Cheese, no big deal at all. I’m sorry I don’t have better food. I’d love to actually cook for you sometime, to prove I’m more than just an out of the box Kraft Mac and cheese kind of girl.”
“I’d love that. Sure there’s nothing I can help with?”
“Hmmmm actually, I’ll give you the most important job. Do you want to pick out music? There’s a bunch of CD’s under the TV. We don’t have to if you don’t want to, but I like having it on in the background.”
“Absolutely, Osita.” He pulled you in to kiss the top of your head before making his way over to your music collection. He scanned through the disks, pulling out a few he thought looked good. Towards the end of the line were a few burned CD’s in mismatched cases. The first one he pulled out had a good collection of songs, but read “David’s Mix” at the top. Wasn’t your ex’s name Paul? Who was David?
“David’s got good taste in music.” Javi tried to state as neutrally as possible.
“Oh yes that’s a good one!” You shouted from across the kitchen. “Don’t worry, David’s one of my brothers.” You responded, knowing Javi was probably curious as to who had given you the CD.
Javi plopped the CD into the player and turned up the volume before making his way back to the kitchen. “Everywhere” by Fleetwood Mac began playing as you finished dumping the noodles into the boiling water on the stove. “Very good choice. Queen is my favorite band of all time, but Fleetwood Mac is a very close 2nd.”
“One of my favorites too. This song might be my favorite one by them.”
The intro picked up its tempo as you picked up the spoon you were using to sing the first verse, holding it up as your microphone in between stirs.
“Ohhhhh woahhhhhhh, I wanna be with you everywhere!”
You continued to sing and stir, dancing and playfully nudging into Javi with your hip as the song continued. He smiled and bit down on his lip, enamored by the sight in front of him. The simple domesticity of the moment had his stomach swirling with a feeling he wasn’t sure he had ever felt before. You, in his clothes, cooking together, playing music and laughing with one another. He racked his brain trying to think of a moment that had ever come close to this one he was experiencing right now, but there was none. Javi had written off ever finding something like this- it was everything he had ever wanted, and felt like he never deserved.
“Hey, you okay?”
Javi was completely lost in his train of thought as you reeled him back down to earth.
“I’m great, Hermosa. You’re cute when you dance like that.”
You hadn’t realized you were still swaying and nodding your head to the beat of the song as Javi was talking to you, becoming a little embarrassed. There was something about Javi that had made you let your guard down so quickly. Everything felt so easy with him, so natural. You had never felt this comfortable around anyone, let alone someone you had known less for a week. Just finish this damn mac and cheese, and don’t get too ahead of yourself, you thought, trying to reign yourself back in.
“It’s a great song, what can I say? You have good taste, Javier Peña. Speaking of good taste…” You held up the pot full of mac and cheese, now completed. “Food is ready!”
While you really liked your apartment, its one downside was its kitchen cabinets. You weren’t the tallest, and everything seemed to be about a foot too high for you. With limited space, your bowls ended up having to go in a higher up shelf, meaning every time you wanted one, you either got a chair from your kitchen table, or just climbed up the counter to grab them. Too stubborn and unwilling to ask for help, you started to scoot your way up to the kitchen counter to get what you needed.
“I uh, don’t want to be rude, but can I ask what the hell you’re doing?” Javi said, barely containing his laughter of watching you scale your cabinets like a little kid.
“Well I’m not very tall and we need bowls, and they’re all the way up there. Unless I decide to magically grow another few inches, this is the easiest way to get them.”
With ease, Javi stepped behind you, reached over your head and grabbed the bowls. You sat with your legs dangling off the counter, arms crossed as he set the bowls down and looked back at you. “Okay, we get it. You're tall and handsome and get bowls from the top shelf. Sorry we aren’t all perfect like you.” You rolled your eyes sarcastically.
“All you have to do is ask, Osita. As entertaining as it was watching you try to get up there, I don’t need you getting hurt again on my watch.”
You found yourselves in the same position as you were not long ago in Maria’s bathroom. He leaned in, hands planted on the counter around your hips, standing between your legs hanging down.
“Wouldn’t be the worst thing. You did a very good job healing me.” Gesturing down to your leg. “Besides, you’re the hottest doctor I’ve ever had. It all really would work out in my favor.”
Javi leaned in to kiss your neck, peppering kisses down your body as his hands ran up and down your thighs. Suddenly, you found him crouched between your legs, one of his hands palming the outside of your panties, once again drenched.
“Javi…” you breathed heavily, trying to stay focused. “I’m pretty sure my neighbors can hear your stomach, you need to eat.” There was no way you were really going to try and stop him from whatever he had planned, but it was worth a shot.
“You’re right, Hermosa, I am starving.” His teeth grabbed the top of your underwear and dragged them down your thighs, leaving you exposed, slick dripping down you. “Just gonna have to eat a little extra first.”
Without an attempt to protest, Javi’s head was between your thighs, your legs resting over his shoulders. Taking long, broad strokes of his flat tongue against your clit make your hips buck toward his face. Flicking his tongue against your sensitive bundle of nerves, you let out low breathy moans, followed by his name.
“Fuck, Javi. Fuck, it feels so good.”  You reached down to grab his hair, giving yourself something else besides the edge of the counter to grip on to. His tongue danced across your heat, making you squirm in pleasure. Two callused fingers plunged into you, curled and stroking the spot that intensified your moans. With his fingers curved in just the right way, and his tongue sucking over your clit, it didn’t take long for you to once again find yourself reaching your peak. Your body pulsated with your orgasm, while Javi slowed down his pace as you came down from your high. Once you finally came back down to earth, you watched as Javi took the two fingers that were just inside you to his mouth, licking your release off of them.
“Taste so fucking sweet, Hermosa.”
“Jesus, Javi. You’re gonna kill me. Holy shit.” Your breathy laughter escaping you as Javi smiled back up at you, his mustache glistening with your slick. He grabbed you by the hips and slid you off the counter top. Kissing up your thigh, he pulled your panties back into place. He grabbed a handful of your ass and pulled you in to kiss you, his mouth still tasting like the sweet and salty combination of you.
“You ready to eat?”
Tumblr media
Javi’s stomach didn’t lie. That man was hungry. You had filled his bowl first and brought it to him at your kitchen table. By the time you had filled up your bowl and went to go sit down, you were pretty sure his entire bowl was already empty. After he quickly finished seconds, (which was pretty much the rest of the pot) you had found yourselves talking, not even realizing how much time had gone by. The Mac and Cheese had brought you back to memories of your childhoods, sharing sweet and embarrassing stories of your lives long before yours had crossed paths. After playfully arguing that this truly did happen, you both had only gotten up to go back to your room to find your 1st grade school picture, proving to Javi you did in fact, draw a mustache on yourself with Sharpie to win a bet with your brothers.
“Told you. My mom was definitely not happy about this one. Although I will say, my mustache almost looks as good as yours.” You both snickered at the ridiculous image of you with a wide, toothy grin and haphazard sharpie smeared across your upper lip.
“Well, besides the mustache, you were a pretty cute kid.” Javi swallowed. In a flash, his brain had flashed forward. The strange feeling crept over him once again. A life with you. Together. Kids who looked like spitting images of you, running through your home. Was that something you wanted? Holy shit, was that something he wanted? Trying to do anything to shake the uneasiness and unable to form anything close to words, Javi leaned in, cupping both sides of your face for a long, tender kiss. You leaned into him, pushing his back on to the bed, his head resting against your pillows, as you rolled across his lap, straddling him.
“My sexy, sharpie mustache really turned you on, huh?”
Javi, still reeling with the feeling swirling inside of him, didn’t even pick up on your joke. “You’re so beautiful. So fucking sexy. Everything about you.” The thoughts in his brain now exiting his mouth just above a whisper.
You bit down on your tongue still in your mouth to try and contain your grin. You weren’t sure if Javi had meant for you to hear his whispers, but it didn’t matter. Without saying another word, you leaned down into him, kissing you way down his chest, grinding into the bulge you could feel growing in his boxers. Your hand palmed the outside of the fabric before tugging at his waistband, freeing his already painfully hard cock. “You gonna finally let me take care of you?” you began kissing around his thighs, causing Javi to let out a raspy moan. Your kisses ventured closer and closer, until you had reached his dick, licking your way up its length and wrapping your lips around the tip.
“Fuckkk, Hermosa.”
You released your mouth to lick down your palm, wrapping your fingers around the base of Javi’s length to satisfy what you knew you weren’t going to be able to fit in your mouth. Leaning back down, you worked your mouth around his girth, hollowing your cheeks, taking him further and further down your throat. Your head bobbed up and down, with Javi’s hand holding a fist full of your hair, guiding your head gently as you filled your mouth full of him. You could feel tears running down your cheeks as his cock hit the back of your throat. Your pace began to intensify, Javi’s grunts and expletives coming only turning you on more. All of a sudden, you felt Javi’s grasp gently pull you up, your mouth leaving him.
“Is everything okay? Sorry, was it not good?” Your voice still raspy from him being down your throat.
“No, fuck, it’s fucking amazing. I just don’t want to come yet, I want to be inside you. Can I?”
Frantically nodding, Javi reached back into your nightstand to pull out the condom box, ripping it, and rolling it down over his throbbing dick. Still straddling over his thighs, you worked your way up, sliding yourself down over his cock, slowly taking him inch by inch. With him being so big, it should have been a problem taking him without him opening you up first, but you were already so turned on from sucking his dick that you slid down his length with ease. He noticed it too.
“Fuck baby, already so wet for me. Sucking my dick really turn you on that much?”
“Yes, Javi.” Now slowly bouncing yourself up and down over his lap. “Your dick tastes so good. I want to taste all of you. Have you cum down my throat.”
The thought sent shivers down his spine. “Dirty fuckin’ girl. Soon, Osita. First I wanna have you come all over me. You look so pretty when you ride it.”
You rolled your hips back and forth, his cock filling you even deeper than it did before. Each thrust rubbed against the sweet spot inside you that felt so good. You threw your head back as you rested your hands against his pecs, whining in pleasure. With each movement, your clit brushed against his hair at his base. Javi noticing, he reached down to rub your already sensitive nub, sending shockwaves of pleasure through you.
“Fuck, Javi, you fill me up so good. It feels so good inside me.”
Your thrusts intensified, Javi’s dick punching into the spot that made you see stars. He began to rub your clit faster, realizing you were close.
“Come for me, baby. I fucking know your close. Can feel how tight you are around me.”
You felt yourself clench as every inch of him filled you. It wasn’t long until you reached your peak, gushing around him and screaming out his name, your pussy throbbing. While you still sat on top of him, he began to thrust up in to you, filling you even deeper. Only a few more strokes and he was close behind you. His low grunts were followed by a panting moan as his release pulsed into the condom. Breathless, you pulled yourself off of him, collapsing on to the bed as he rolled over to dispose of the condom. The smell of sex and sweat filled your room, your bedsheets tangled between you as you laid your head against the sheen of his chest.
“Okay, I will drop the alleged serial killer or secret family allegations that I put on you not that long ago. I am convinced you are a wizard because your dick is magic”
Javi snorted as he ran his hand through his hair before wrapping it over your shoulder. “I don’t know where the hell you come up with these things, Osita.”
“It’s true! Like I said, I think you’re trying to kill me, and my gravestone is about to read “death by Javier Peña’s dick.” Guess it’s not a terrible way to go.”
You both laughed again, as Javi rubbed his thumb back and forth over your shoulder. Silence filled the room in the most comfortable way, your bodies perfectly nestled into one another. You laid for a few more minutes before Javi noticed the alarm clock on your nightstand
12:46 AM
He didn’t want to leave, but didn’t want to assume that you wanted him to stay. Reluctantly, he spoke. “Shit, I didn’t realize it was this late. Sorry, I can go if you want-”
“No. Stay.” You didn’t mean for your words to come out like such a demand, but the thought of him leaving flooded your body with sadness. “I mean, um, you’re more than welcome to stay. I want you to stay.”
“Okay.”
Relieved at the lack of convincing, you nestled your head closer to his chest, pulling the sheets over your naked bodies. You felt so comfortable and at peace being wrapped up in his embrace. His hand migrated its way through the tangled ends of your hair. Content, you felt the weight of your eyelids grow heavy, promising yourself you would only close them for a minute, not wanting to miss out on any time with Javi. It wasn’t long until you were fast asleep, your bodies intertwined as one.
“Today was really one of the best days I’ve had in a long time. Thank you, Osita.”
No response. He repeated it once more, thinking maybe you didn’t hear him. Again, no response. He lifted his head up to your lids closed tight and your mouth half open as you let out a gentle snore. It had only been minutes and you were out cold. He laughed quietly to himself as he kissed the top of your head. “Dulces sueños, Osita.” (Sweet dreams, little bear). He laid his head into yours, closing his eyes and smiling. That night was the best night’s sleep Javier Peña had in years.

Lookism Men x Female Reader "Their types on a woman" (J-High Main boys)
A/N: Hi fellow human! Sorry if I hadn't made any posts this past few weeks, I was taking a break and my laptop isn't working properly. Anyway, the important thing is I'm back making more Lookism (especially Danny content), so enjoi! :) Genre: Fluff☁️and slight angst? (for everyone) Warnings: NONE! just pure cuteness and sweetness I guess? Add in!: this post is also inspired by another Lookism Men (J-High boys) with a female reader. Though I can't really remember the acc or post so I'll just paste it in here incase I find it :) I'll probably make a part 2 about this
Daniel Park (Park Hyung Seok)
Tumblr media
This man will be the biggest simp in the whole world. Will always look at you with that puppy eyes like 🥺👉👈 halk;hkld;ahfkl;ahf I love him so much
It's canon (kind of) that Daniel doesn't give a damn about how you look like for the most part. What matters to him most is that you respect everybody and treat them equally. But since the incident with Yui kind of traumatized him from finding true love, it also left and taught him a good and knowledgeable lesson. Since Danny went through lots of character development, he learned to himself that he can't just trust someone who acts nice and that he needs to know someone better if he really likes someone.
If you already interacted with his main body and haven't judge him for his looks just like a normal person would do or if you met this cinnamon roll on middle school when he's still being bullied by that fucker Logan, if you had the balls to save him from that mf congratulations! You made him interested in you!
If you also helped him in his homework or if you insists to spend some time with him like going out to the mall, patching his bruises when the bullies beat him up or if he gets in trouble with the gangs, and helping him out like giving him advices on his worst days even on the tiny things, he'll be head over heels for you (though he stills feel guilty that you're spending your money on him but you keep reassuring him that is fine) But if you're also the broke girl he can empathize more since he also faces this issues like his mom forcing herself to work just for him. Rich or not, fat or slim, girly or tomboyish, if you're overall kind, unjudgmental yet completely honest, and generous not just to him (in both of his bodies of course) but also to everybody without wanting anything in return, then you earned this man's respect and heart ;). I also headcannon that he's more into quiet and calm women since he's easily overwhelmed by noisy people and places. But even if you're the type of extroverted woman or the introverted type, as long you're nice and helpful then you'll catch his attention.
I feel like after having his second body he'll start to have the confidence to befriend you. At first he wouldn't make things obvious since he's still shy about his feelings for you since he wants to know you even more as you show your true colors. He'll also probably going to ask some advice on Jace and Zack about approaching you since he doesn't have that much of a romantic experience xD. Since you always treat him, he'll ask you to hang out with him like going to the mall to watch movies or going to the park and eating on every food truck or stand you see but he'll bring some of your friends too like Zack, Jay, Mira, Zoe, even Vasco to hang out so things won't be obvious.
If he enjoys your company and the energy you have, he'll ask you out more but this time is just the two of you (if he has the budget). Or if you're in the same class/school as you, he'll always ask you out to eat with him on lunch too making all his fangirls jealous lol. "You want a piggyback? No problem! Need help from your homework? I'll help you out!" Or even if you don't study at the same school, he'll still ask you out privately and if you accept it Daniel would be the happiest man alive and him just being here for you every time even if he's broke or mentally unstable too lol like how you company him too. Overall just him being there for you and ready to help while being sweet (please I just need a Danny in my life lmao).
And since he's a really shy and introverted person, he's afraid of opening up about his issues and insecurities. But knowing that you're a sweet person yet you don't sugar-coat things (no pun intended), he will probably talk about it with you even when he's still afraid of him being a burden to you. But if you reached out to him first if you noticed when he's acting down and strange, he'll appreciate and love you even more. An example of this when he writes a letter to you when he ran away. Since he can't express his self with words, he decides to write his thoughts on a piece of paper while confessing his problems and probably his true feelings to you. "Y/N I don't know how to tell my thoughts in the first place but seeing Logan back when I try to run away from my problems just kills me inside. It may sound selfish to you but I felt like a burden for you and especially my mom. But I thank you for being there for me in my darkest times, when you help me out from those bullies and you don't judge me by my looks. Though I just need time for myself now. Please don't look for me. You're really a sweet and honest person and that's why I love you, and I mean it and not just for being a friend. Though I don't expect you to reciprocate my feelings it back. The larva that waits for years to be reborn as a cicada decides to return back to it's shell and to not spread it's wings. I'm sorry". You'll definitely going to cry while reading the letters and words written on the wrinkly paper if you're really close to him. As the time he returns back home just imagine hugging him and scolding him for running away. "JESUS CHRIST DANIEL! DON'T RUN AWAY LIKE THAT AGAIN YOU'RE SCARING ME!" you hugged his small and chubby form while you stain his clothes with your tears. "Y-Y/N I don't know what I was thinking. I-I'm sorry I won't do it again".
Just be a green flag in general to him whether size, shape or form he's in. And bonus points for you if you treat his mom well ;).
Zack Lee (Lee Jin Sung)
Tumblr media
Another approved simp here lol. Like this man is fine tf, ehem excuse me back to the topic
I feel like this man is insecure deep inside his tough shell. He really worked hard for his strength and in boxing to protect his friends like Mira and Johan since the cult incident. So he wouldn't be different with you if he sees you as a valuable and good person.
And remember when he's still a notorious bully and many people were afraid of him? (tbh I really hate him before when he beat Little Daniel before) I headcannon that no matter how hard he tries to be ignorant from other's comments about him he actually feels bad about the horrible things he have done yet he's still hesitant at first to change since he felt vulnerable if he listens to other people's gossip about him. Why is this so angst this is supposed to be fluff :(.
So if you tried to approach him when you noticed Zack's face had a bruise he didn't even know he has when he got into a fight, he'll be annoyed by you at first as why your talking to him. Do you know that his heart is only devoted to Mira? (Not that you're aware of so calm down boy). "Who the hell are you? Do you know that I only love Mira! She's the most beautiful person on Earth and I just can't hit on you sorry!" He continues to ramble that he likes someone else until he became speechless as you patch him with the extra band aid that you have on your pocket, you tip-toeing to reach his height as your warm and soft hands make contact with his open wounds while he froze. "I'm just trying to help and clean off your wound y'know. Don't worry I'm not hitting on you" you replied coldly yet with the same sweet tone on your voice that just makes him melt. This can't be happening, he likes Mira! She's been his crush since childhood! So why is he feelings butterflies in his stomach whenever you're near him??? (I love Mira so much but ahhhhh) Are you not scared of him? He's literally a bully in your school yet you chose to help him.
The thing is just like Daniel's preferences, what he likes about you is that you're free-spirited, you're a sweet and gentle person, honest and you're willing to help others. You also help him out with his ego-issues while giving him some constructive criticisms to work on himself. It may be a little bit hurtful on his part but he knows deep inside that you're expressing your thoughts that others can't tell to him because they're scared that he'll misunderstood it and beat them. But coming those constructive criticisms from your soft voice calms him even more and you want to bring out the best of him on his attitude. It may look like he's not listening, but trust me if he really likes you he'll lend his ears and mind for you.
Like Daniel, he'll be hesitant about his feelings first about you. Not because his insecure about himself but because he's insecure about it. He may look like a bad person on other people's eyes, he's DEFINETLY NOT THE TYPE to double-time two women. He likes Mira. Yet when he sees you eating lunch alone or just sitting on your desk on class and being quiet and minding your own business, he wants to approach and talk to you. "Wait is Mira absent? I guess sitting with Y/N in lunch won't be a bad idea." And he'll probably talk about his feelings for you to her. He's scared that if he confessed to him and you don't like like him back and that he's also going to hurt the other girl's feelings. That's why he'll conversate with the brunette. And despite liking Zack too Mira will definitely try to understand on what he's trying to say and will 100% support both of you. And Zack will also dress to impress xD. He'll flex his accomplishments to you "Y/N do you know that I'm a professional boxer? I won lots of boxing competitions y'know" he boastfully said while winking at you and being proud of himself. "But I thought you lost to Johan Seo-" "SHUT UP JIHO!" And will take you on "friendly dates" and will try to change his bad habits for him to be a good influence to you (though he will beat the sh*t out of everyone who ever tries to mess with you, not caring if you'll lecture him later).
Overall be nice, patient, be honest and understanding to him. And also take care of Zacky and he'll reciprocate it back :).
Vasco (Lee Euntae)
Tumblr media
If the other two are simps, this man will follow you like a lost puppy lol
You know Vasco is innocent despite his gangster-looking body and face. This boy likes animals especially puppies! This man will also get superrrr excited when he sees you walking on the park with your dog (Will 100% approach you with a cute smile even if he doesn't know you lmao. It may freak you out but I told you Eun Tae is innocent so be patient about it). "Hello! Is this your dog? He looks so cute!" "Oh yeah he's a golden retriever." "Like a chihuahua?" "Oh no. Chihuahua is smaller than a golden retriever" you chuckled lightly at the tattooed male while his eyes sparkled even more as he bended down to reach the dog's height while apologizing to you about his mistake which you shrugged it off saying that it's okay. "Hi little dog, oh I mean woof woof!" AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Since this man has zero percent romantic experience, he's literally going to fall fast for you. He will also introduce himself to you if you're not classmates or study at the same school since he's excited to have a girl friend (ehem) that likes animals too! If you also find him interesting and you gave him his number, he will tell everything to Jace and the other Burn Knuckles members about you all the time. "JACE! I TALKED TO A GIRL TODAY HER NAME IS Y/N!" "Vasco keep your voice do- wait. WHAT! YOU TALKED TO A GIRL!!!"
If he also notices about how you're a gentle and caring person and also likes helping others without wanting anything in return, he'll literally catch a crush on you. Being an animal lover will definitely makes you and Vasco make less tense with each other and have a very special connection with each other.
And if you also taught him to understood things in his surroundings, he'll definitely appreciate your help! You know how this man isn't really conscious on almost everything even on the little dirty things so when he doesn't know what he's doing wrong. So he'll really listen to you if you explain it to him in a detailed yet understandable statement! You don't have to be completely smart but you're intellectual thinking can also help him understand you way better. He'll also let you call him by his real name if you're really close to him. (Also I can imagine the Burn Knuckles crying and cheering when you and Vasco became a thing. Y'know the FBI cheering meme? And yes they will do the Invisible Charlotte on you lmao).
And you know how his sense of justice and helping people can also get him through hard situations sometimes? Yeah it makes you worried when his hero complex gets him in trouble despite just wanting to help others who can't defend themselves.
So imagine just patching and treating his wounds while lecturing him. "EUNTAE! YOU CAN'T JUST BE INVOLVED WITH FIGHTS EVERYDAY!" you scolded him while he tries to hold back him crying. He doesn't even know if he's going to burst down into tears because you're angry at him or because of the sting and pain he feels when the soft cotton made contact on his wounded skin. "S-So you-you're telling me that I can't defend the weak? They're literally getting bullied Y/N". you sighed as he misunderstood on what you're trying to imply while he sniffs as he can't control the liquid pouring out from his brown-colored orbs. You sat beside him as you made eye contact on his sad ones. "You know Euntae, I understood you. It's okay to help others but you can't just always get into fights with everybody. I'm worried for you y'know". "But the bad guys won't stop hurting the innocent if I don't stop them" he replied while feeling wretched. "Because that's the sad truth. But evilness has a reason to spread". "Why?" he asks innocently. "Because the world wouldn't be balanced if we don't make mistakes. We will be perfect like Gods but emotionless like robots. And the reason why evil is taking all over us is to open the eyes of others on how our own world and our own kind has become corrupted and to solve it is to help others. I have no problems of you helping out Vasco. But it makes me worried on what is going to happen to you." "That's why I'm trying to be stronger!" he cheered and stood up while his warm tears are still rolling down on his face. "It's to protect others and to protect you too Y/N!" you smiled at his optimistic thinking as you ruffled his hair making his heart skip a beat. "And that's what I like about you Lee Euntae".
Jay Hong (Hong Jae Yol)
Tumblr media
A mixture of a simp and a puppy lmao.
I feel like he doesn't really fall in love so easily (unless it's Daniel lol)
Since Jay is also a quiet person (who literally doesn't talk), so I bet he can't stand whiny and noisy girls (lmao pls don't attack me). I think he prefers women (if it's women ;) who leans more on the quiet and gentle side yet is still fun to talk and be around with. Video games on his apartment, hanging out in the mall or talking about fashion styles and brands are his way to go dates.
It's canon that he buys expensive gifts and brands for someone he likes so just expect him to just gave you 4 bags full of clothes and jewelry that almost anybody can't touch and buy for themselves. But despite him buying you everything that you want, he still hopes that you just don't like him because he's hot, mysterious and rich. He really wants someone who values him not just by his looks and social status. But if simple signs of helpful gestures is enough for you like him helping you out on your homeworks when you're in struggle or if you need a shoulder to cry on then Jay will be available 100%.
If you decided to approach Jay first, it's completely normal for him to be a bit shy and tense in front of you. He can really caught the attention of many women because of his beautiful features and good taste on fashion style while the other dudes just stare at him with envy. But if you really want to make friends with anybody, talking to Jay can be a challenge. Not only is that he don't literally open his mouth, he can't help but to feel nervous when a girl or literally anybody who approaches him since he's not used to it. Though after befriending him out of pure innocence and not wanting anything from him, he'll start to be more open about his interests and Jay will start to be more caring about you and just be himself in front of you and everybody else.
Just like the rest of the dudes, your sweet and warm personality can break the ice between the two of you and if he's starting to like you even more than just a friend, his affection would be more and more obvious. He will also patch you up and clean your wounds when you get hurt and he'll beat the sh*t out of everyone who tries to mess and hurt you (just like the other three boys). But he won't let you know why your bullies/enemies look like they've been used as a punching bag. He's also willing to give you his whole wallet full of cash if you can't buy your lunch (he'll still force you to take it especially if he knows you're the broke type lol).
Will probably start to learn sign language and Morse code with you so you can understood each other more lol (and talk about dumb shit a lot that only the two of you will understand lmao). But if you can already comprehend on what he's trying to express, he'll appreciate it and fall for you more considering how his close friends and family are the only ones who at least understand on what he's trying to pick up. And listen to him when he's ranting about his problems even though there are no words coming out of his mouth. He might even let out a sad whimper and a huff when he tries to suppress his feelings since he doesn't want to be seen as a burden especially in front of someone whom he really cherishes.
Just be a green flag. Don't just use him as a sugar daddy or he won't be returning the sweet treatment and attitude back at you. Actions speak louder than words after all.
A/N: my first ever fluff to be written about and yeah sorry if this sucks.

Hello again! Its me the one who requested the proxies with a forest ranger S/o
I sawed your post and kinda went 😮 when I found out forest rangers and fire looksouts aren’t the same thing too ngl. I originally got the idea when I watched/played ‘Fears to fathom: Ironbark lookout’. I actually looked it up and I guess the correct term would be “Park ranger” (I still don’t know bro I could be wrong) but I originally got the idea from the fears to fathom so I guess you could kinda base it off that (minus the cult) but I just thought it would be a cool idea. Like for example on the fire watch aspect, Tim is chronic Smoker and Toby is canonically a pyromaniac (idk about brain in this situation) so like Tim could be smoking or toby could be setting something on fire and you would be side eyeing tf out of them. OR, You could just be trying to peacefully sleep in your watch tower (assuming there is one) and One of them would be knocking at your damn door/window in the dead ass of the night and your just there either terrified, confused, or annoyed (its up to your interpretation).
But anyway sorry for the ramble and confusion, As always I appreciate you and hope you have a wonderful day (remember to drink water) buh/bye now <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(♡) Authors note; in my old author's note I literally said it was inspired byironbark lookout but then I hesitated bcs I thought it wasn't what you're looking for. good thing I didn't delete the previous work :3 SO SORRY FOR THE LONG WAIT I DIDN'T HAVE ANY MOTIVATION TO WRITE ANYTHING :(
HOODIE;
-before the relationship between you two, he knew about your job as a park ranger/ fire lookout.
-actually, he knew about everything. From the tasks you usually handle to your working schedule.
-the reason he didn't kill you off was because part of your job is keeping campers away from the unregistered camp grounds which was quite convenient on his part. (Perhaps convenient for all of them)
-that way he wouldn't risk getting caught on the way/back from a mission, even though he usually drives to his destinations with a beaten up old truck. He knows how nosey some people are and would definitely pull a curiosity move and possibly find his resort.
-but he also couldn't let you run around freely around the forest either, he just kept an eye on you for a while in case you were too close to finding out about his...'business'
-i can see him stalking you slowly seeping into his routine. could be out of curiosity or genuine interest.
-during your relationship, he'd drop by from time to time in the watch tower even though it's against the rules. He'll be careful, he says.
-he's still an asshole very much like his friends, would probably disregard his mudded hiking boots by the entrance and just throw himself on your bed. Not caring if whatever substance he was covered in (blood) stains your bedsheets or something.
-to make up for it he cooks you food with whatever ingredients you have to offer :3 I like to think he's a good cook, staying out in the forest for long periods of time gained him that skill.
-if he isn't too busy, you two would watch the scenery together :) a little nice bonding moment.
MASKY;
-sigh... This motherfucker would NOT be good company for you at all.
-you could be sleeping peacefully just to wake up and find him standing at the foot of your bed just...staring.
-he's making sure they don't get you lol
-who the fuck is "they" (...does anyone get the reference)
-steals any lighters he finds in the shack just to light up his cigarettes.
-yes, when he puts out his cigarettes he just throws them on the ground. not caring if it's against the rules to litter the forest. at this point they're all trying to get you in trouble whether it's intentionally or not.
-unlike Toby, he doesn't help around that much with your tasks.
-if you manage to convince him to bring up some firewood from the shack so you can light up the fire, just praise him. it's enough to boost his already humongous ego and he might consider helping every now and then just so you could call him your strong, manly boyfrie–
TOBY;
-This stupid fucker would send you disturbing messages on his old ass flip phone at night whenever you still have the planks up.
-some shit like 'i c yu :-)'
-... yeah he never likes typing his sentences properly because he still uses those number keyboards (I don't know what they're called)
-it gives you a heart attack everytime untill you look out the window and see that it's Toby being a weirdo again.
-like anon said, he always sets random stuff on fire which always gets him in trouble, you end up reminding him that you aren't the only fire lookout in the forest and that another worker will report it.
-he doesn't listen.
-he definitely scares off any campers in areas they aren't supposed to be. Hey, at least he isn't completely useless!
-the opposite of Brian/Hoodie, instead of cooking for you he absolutely ravishes anything you have in the fridge.
-no, he isn't sorry.
-other than the things that he does to piss you off he actually does help from time to time like helping you fill in the service reporting— using the anemometer, checking the thermometer...etc
-he thinks the devices look neat :)

The trailer park was quiet except for the murmurs and soft noises that the residents made whilst partaking in their nighttime routines.
The soft ambiance provided comforting background noise as you made your way over to Eddie’s trailer, you were excited to see what movie he had picked from the Family Video tonight.
Eddie and you had made it a tradition to go over to each other’s houses and watch a shitty horror movie while eating pizza to critique said shitty movie.
This week it was Eddie’s turn to host.
You first met Eddie when you were eight. You had gotten home from school for the day, your mom inside fixing up dinner whilst you played with your jump rope outside. You remember the sun burning down on you but that didn’t deter you from continuing your time for outside playtime.  You had been on your twentieth jump with your pink jump rope when a truck pulled up to the trailer beside yours. Your curious eight-year-old self’s attention diverted to the mysterious boy hopping out of the pickup truck. His denim overalls were loose on him, a strap was unbuttoned showcasing his white ribbed shirt underneath. His gaze met yours, and before you could look away, he offered you a crooked smile, wanna see a trick? You quickly nodded and watched him dash over toward you, his hand had retreated into his pocket and pulled out a deck of cards.
Later at dinner, your mom mentioned how the new boy, Eddie, had moved in with his uncle and was going to be your new neighbor. “He’s a little older, but why don’t you play with him after school, honey?”
Funny to think years later that some silly card trick is what caused you two to be inseparable.
The door swings open before you even make it up the short steps. “You know I've told you multiple times you can just walk in, right? I never lock the door.”
Your eyes skim over Eddie’s bare arm that was extended, your eyes glance over his recent addition of tattoos that peeked from his sleeves. “Yeah, and I've told you multiple times that that is a safety problem.” You waved a finger in front of Eddie as he swatted it away with a scoff.
The familiar home of Eddie and Wayne’s trailer met your eyes as you slipped your shoes off; Wayne’s copious mugs displayed on the walls always grabbed your attention when you walked into the trailer. They offered a sense of home that you loved so much.
Eddie had gone to his room to fetch the VHS of his movie pick while you busied yourself with grabbing the pizza menu and walking over to the phone to place the order.
“What do you want, just pepperoni? Or do you want something else - and don't you dare say pineapple.” You call over to him while leaning on the table holding the phone in your hand.
Eddie’s curly hair appears in the hall as he makes his way toward you, exaggeratedly sighing “Fine, just pepperoni.”
He saunters off to the TV before shouting back, requesting garlic bread while fiddling with the VHS.
You quickly order the food and walk over to the couch where Eddie was sitting waiting for you so he could play the movie.
“What monstrosity have you picked for us today, Munson?”
♡‧₊˚
The sound of students chattering with each other filled your ears as you were rummaging through your locker.
Your usual attendance of watching the guys play during their band practice was missed Saturday due to your mom requiring you to run errands all weekend so you haven't seen Eddie since Friday.
Meaning you left Eddie to his own devices for far too long and you're about to unknowingly pay the price.
“Jesus Christ!”
Speak of the devil.
The sound of your locker closing was muffled by the loud shriek that came out of your mouth.
“Eddie, how many times have I told you not to scare me like that?” You sputter out quickly whilst holding a hand up to your chest.
Eddie offers you a sheepish smile, “Sorry, princess, I was just too excited to see you.”
Your heart flutters slightly at the statement.
The whole “falling for your best friend trope” was a dumb cliche. In the early years of your friendship with Eddie, your mom would make offhand comments about how “oh you two are so cute together” and “you are both so going to fall in love with each other, just watch.” Your kid self always scrunched your nose in disgust and had you turning your head in the opposite direction. But you weren’t sure when the look of disgust turned into you turning your face to hide the blush that was settling on your cheeks.
And yeah so what if you knew that Eddie Munson drank his coffee with an insane amount of creamer and sugar and how he would never admit it, but that he had a soft spot for ABBA. How he gets this one specific look on his face whenever he’s telling you about the new campaign he’s currently working on; how his eyes glow with excitement just reciting all the things he’s planning on introducing and adding for the guys. That he smiles so wide you can’t help to notice the dimples he has and how they just fit his face. How you want to just kiss him all over and just constantly wish to see him happy and smiling.
Yeah, you’re totally in love with your best friend.
“So… I was thinking over the weekend.”
“Oh, that’s never good.”
He ignores your comment by rolling his eyes playfully. “I was thinking that I have been in this hell hole for far too long. And I haven’t done anything memorable.”
You send a confused look at Eddie, “What about how you have weekly lectures on the lunch tables in the cafeteria, or how you helped raise the drama club funding due to badgering Principal Higgins constantly for a month.” Beckoning for him to explain, you begin to walk to class.
He rolls his eyes again, “Okay, Miss Know-It-All, I meant more…you know.”
“No I don’t know, Eddie.”
He hesitates slightly before continuing “Well, I was talking to the guys and well they think I’m insane but you won't, right?” His wide eyes look over at you expectantly.
“I guess that depends on what you’re about to say.” you tease.
He was nervous, you noted. He wouldn't meet your eyes as he begins to fidget under your stare.
He scratches his head before saying, “I'm gonna ask Chrissy to prom.”
You stop walking, your head spinning to Eddie’s. Your eyes were wide open, which were shifting between his own in disbelief. People walked around you but not without complaining and calling out “Watch out” but you couldn't care less about what was happening around you. Your mind was reeling; it was attempting to decipher whether or not he was telling a joke or not.
He wasn’t.
Fixing your composure you look forward and keep walking. “Isn’t prom in two weeks, that’s kinda a short notice.” You attempt to keep your voice as neutral as possible.
You had known about Eddie’s crush on Chrissy Cunningham since middle school. It had been during the talent show, Eddie had come after you to gush about how she had looked so pretty waving her pom poms in the air that night. Chrissy had done some cheer routine which had gotten her the most applause putting everyone else's show to shame. Regrettably for you, you were the follow-up after her spectacle. You can’t say your flute solo, which you had worked hard on the week leading up to the talent show, was a show-stopper after that.
You didn’t hate Chrissy, you never did and probably never would. She, unfortunately, is the nicest person you’ve ever met, she always talks to you when you have classes together, and how she actually complimented you on your flute solo after you had gotten off the stage even though you had messed up the first measure of the song.
You just couldn’t help but compare yourself to her. You wanted to hate her. You assumed it would be easier to hate her, but that wasn’t the case. You simply hated the fact that you weren’t her. You were the complete antithesis of her; it was honestly ridiculous. While she was the head cheerleader, you were in the stands wearing a stupidly hot outfit and a dumb hat while also playing the flute. You weren’t at rock bottom of the social hierarchy but you still weren't high, you were in the band for Christ’s sake.
You couldn’t fault Eddie for falling for miss pride of Hawkins High, the star-studded cheerleader that was Chrissy Cunningham.
“Well, I heard from the cheerleaders that she rejected Jason Carver already so she’s free and totally doesn't have a date so I figured… well that I would ask her,” Eddie whispers the last part before stopping at your first-period classroom door. “What do you think?”
You shift your gaze to the quickly depleting students in the hall before looking back at your best friend. “You should totally do it.” you say while avoiding his eyes, “I’ll see you at lunch, kay?”
You walk into your class before he can say anything back, choosing to drown your sorrows in algebra instead.
♡‧₊˚
Prom had always been a bit of a dream for you. You had fallen for that American high school cliche, ever since you were ten.
You were driving around with your mom when you passed by Enzo’s and had seen so many people dressed up standing outside waiting in line to get in. Your mom explained to you that it was the senior prom that weekend; since then you had looked forward to the moment in your senior year where you would get to wear your new expensive dress you had bought solely for the event.
After you had gotten home that day, you had rambled to Eddie for the rest of the evening while he pushed you on the swingset at the trailer park. He had just shrugged you off and stayed quiet. You paid him no mind and ignored him by beaming at his face with a toothless grin,
“You’ll go with me to prom right, Eds?”
“Only if you let me swing now.”
“Deal.”
You’d like to say you haven't been in love with Eddie till recently but you’d be lying to yourself.
In your recent years of high school, you found yourself daydreaming about attending prom with your best friend, you always played it off as of course, you’d attend this huge event in your life with Eddie, he was your best friend. If you ignored how much he hated conformist bullshit things such as prom. And each time he got held back, the closer and closer you got to both of you being in the same senior class, your hope grew.
Of course, those were always cut short whenever you had caught Eddie looking at Chrissy at lunch or he’d rant to you about how she wrote the most beautifully, detailed short story in English that day and how she would make such a great DM. Or how at the basketball game last week when halftime was over and the band was given a break you had gotten water and had spotted Eddie in the crowd; even though he has sworn up and down (and publicly) that basketball was dumb. You had just shrugged it off as him supporting Lucas, but you knew deep down it was because of Chrissy.
But you refused to acknowledge otherwise.
You should honestly be happy that he’s going to prom now, granted he wouldn’t be going with you. Nor would he take pictures with you. You both wouldn’t awkwardly be posing in your living room together at your trailer as your mom took a million photos along with Wayne taking the day off to see his boy all dressed up for the prom. Or how your fingers wouldn’t tremble while attempting to pin his corsage on his tux hoping you didn’t poke him. Nor would a single shy smile be transpired between the two of you as you walked into the school gym-turned-prom venue.
Nope, he’d be doing that with Chrissy Cunningham.
You took painstakingly slow steps as you currently walked to your last class of the day. You weren't looking forward to seeing Eddie again. Opting for skipping lunch to wallow in your self-pity in the library instead.
Therefore, you hadn't seen Eddie since morning when he stabbed you in the heart unknowingly with his newfound decision, and honestly, it was probably for the best. It’s not like you were going to ask him to prom anytime soon anyways.
The sound of your footsteps stopping in front of the classroom reached your ears. “Just play it cool,” you mutter to no one. You took a deep breath and walked into the classroom, immediately heading toward your seat in the back corner.
Eddie was already in the seat beside yours, his wide doe eyes met yours when he hears your steps and flashes you a smile, “Sup, where were you during lunch, Gareth’s mom made these killer cookies today.”
You look over at him, “Oh I went to the library,  I had to catch up on some homework,” you lie.
He didn't say anything back just simply letting out a noise signaling he heard your excuse while nodding.
“Well anyways, about earlier.” he raises his eyebrows, “I’m gonna do it today.” He whispers so that people couldn’t listen in.
“...are you?” your tone was neutral.
He shifts his eyes away from yours. “I need to do it now while I have the confidence because if not, I'm gonna psych myself out,” he nods to himself, “Yeah I'm gonna wait for her after her practice is over.”
You study his side profile. His brown eyes were looking at the ceiling in concentration. His Adam's apple bobbed slightly, you find your eyes tracing along his jawline. His hair was a little messy, signaling that he had been running his fingers through it all day.
Willing yourself to say something, “She’ll say yes, Eddie, and if she doesn’t it’s her loss.” You swallow slightly and offer him a small smile.
His hopeful eyes look at you.
“Yeah?”
“Yeah.”

“This is officially the worst day ever.” You groan as you walk into the Family Video.
Steve looks over at Robin from where he was reshelving tapes.
“Uh oh, what happened?” Robin asks reluctantly
“Everything, Robin, everything that could’ve ever gone wrong, has gone wrong.”
After the whole Chrissy-prom-Eddie fiasco yesterday, you had declared the rest of the day a time for self-pitying. All you wanted to do was lie in bed with the covers drawn and completely shut out from the world so that you could comfort yourself in the sad exile you had made.
That was until Eddie called.
Since your blinds were drawn, you hadn’t noticed Eddie coming home earlier. Hence why when the phone rang you almost jumped out of your skin.
Debating whether or not to pick up, you looked at your window longingly knowing who it was on the other side. You ultimately decided to stand up and answer because if you didn't you knew he would just come over instead. And you didn’t exactly what to face Eddie right now, memories rushing to your mind reminded you of how much they were like a slap in the face.
“She said yes.”
He didn’t even wait for you to say hello before revealing his triumph win.
You zoned out after that, not processing the dial zone indicating that he hung up already. You could only recall a little after you walked back to your room that he was going to hang out with the guys because he had promised they’d celebrate the news if she said yes.
The morning had come and gone with you forcing yourself to get out of bed so that you could make it to school today. Eddie met your morning daze with his usual smile when you hopped into his van, you returned it with a small smile but stayed silent. You’d just use the excuse of having stayed up late last night due to catching up on some non-existent homework. Eddie on the other hand took this as permission to gush about how he was finally stoked about something concerning school for once and that he’d be able to share the experience with the girl he had been pining after for years. You simply offer him quiet hums to signify that you were listening.
School was no different, having forced yourself on autopilot, just mindlessly walking to and from class. You attended lunch today, not wanting to rile suspicion and worry with the group, and chose to suck it up and sit through Eddie rambling about how Chrissy had smelled like strawberries and vanilla while he had asked her the million-dollar question.
How she, quote, “had the most radiant smile shining up at him the entire time he talked to her.”
You also chose to ignore the smiles and slight waves she offered him when she made eye contact with him during lunch as well.
Yeah, you weren’t having a good day at all.
Your eyes scanned the store, relief settling once you noticed that it was empty except for your two friends seeing as you didn't bother to note if anyone was there before you blurted out about the nightmare that was your life currently.
Thank god it was a Tuesday afternoon and no one was there to witness your sad-sad life.
Steve was now standing beside Robin having moved during your entire speech after he finished his task.
“It’s just one dance, you know?” he offers, “It’s not like they’ll start dating.” He chuckles awkwardly in hopes of comforting you.
Unfortunately, that was the worst thing he could have said.
“Wait, what if they start dating?” You were going to pass out. “You know, I can’t even be mad at Chrissy, I mean, she’s genuinely the sweetest person. And Eddie, god Eddie, he’s so ecstatic about this, I mean, he’s been pining after her since middle school…middle school! And here I am being a bitch because I couldn't get my shit together and just confess to him about how I feel.” you sigh and drop your head on the counter “He deserves this one thing at least, who am I to get in the way of it?” you say with your voice slightly muffled.
Robin smacked Steve’s shoulder before walking around the counter over to you. “Sweetie, don't get so upset with yourself.” She rubs your shoulders, “Don’t let this small inconvenience deter you from enjoying your prom. Remember? You’ve been looking forward to this since you were ten!”
You look up at her and glance at Steve, meeting his eyes. “Don't let some dumb guy ruin this for you,” he says.
“But he's not some dumb guy, he's Eddie,” you whisper.
“Well, you got me, babe, kay? You can come along with Vicki and me, we’ll have an amazing time together just us, no guys - well that doesn't bother me - but you know what I mean, just us gals, what do you say?”
You don't reply so Robin continues, “This is me officially asking you to prom, are you gonna reject me or not?” she bumps your shoulder with a slight smirk on her freckled face.
You smile at her, “Okay.”
♡‧₊˚
After Robin had invited you to accompany her and Vicki to prom, you felt a little better. It helped you keep your mind off Eddie and allowed you to look forward to the event of which you’d be attending with your other best friend.
It had been almost two weeks since Eddie had asked Chrissy to prom and she had evidently accepted with a “sure why not!” Eddie had ranted to you about how he had a nice conversation with her and how she seemed genuinely excited for prom (you cried in the bathroom after that.)
The entire school was reeling over the fact that Eddie ‘the freak’ Munson was taking the queen of Hawkins High, Chrissy Cunningham, to prom. Jason was livid but every time he tried to say something to Eddie during lunch, Chrissy would shut him down, which you were grateful for.
Another reason why you couldn’t hate her.
Along with Eddie being over the moon about taking his dream girl to prom, he could never seem to shut up about her either. At any possible time, whether at lunch or on the drive home from school, or even during your own personal hang-out time; Eddie always seemed to be talking about one person.
And that person was not you.
Last weekend, Eddie had knocked at your door in a panic about how the suit he was wearing was too big on him and that he looked like a loser, “you always look like a loser.” You pulled him inside so that you could grab your mother’s sewing kit and figure out how you were going to help him tailor Wayne’s old suit to fit him better. “Thanks, princess, what would I do without you?”
While you played tailor, you let it slip that you - surprisingly - haven’t bought a dress yet so in return, he offered to take you dress shopping. The next day he came barreling into your room announcing that the two of you were going shopping at the mall in the town over in hopes of finding your dream dress.
You're one hundred percent sure that Eddie’s cute little reactions every time you stepped out of the dressing room will forever replay in your mind for the rest of your life. Even for the dresses you immediately dismissed and deemed ugly, you were still praised by him.
“I look horrible in this, what even are these sleeves?”
“I kinda dig the sleeves, makes you look like a real princess, princess.”
That smile, god that smile of his. Perhaps it was your delusions or maybe you genuinely saw a flicker of something in Eddie’s eyes when he would glance over your figure, drinking in your body in the dress you were currently showcasing for him. Either way, you were quite literally fooling yourself entirely because he wasn’t going with you,
he was going with Chrissy.
When you got home that day, you decided that you weren't just going to sit around anymore and cry about how things weren't working out. You have been looking forward to prom since you were a kid, you were going to fulfill that ten-year-old you’s dream.
Pulling your blinds close so that they could block any sort of visual that you'll get from Eddie when he got home you grabbed your walkman and climbed into bed. You weren't in the mood to talk to him at the moment, it was Friday meaning the prom was tomorrow and you were currently losing your mind.
Sadly, God wasn’t through with tormenting you just yet.
The sound of the phone ringing ricocheted throughout your house, forcing you to pull yourself up from your current spot on your bed.
“Hello?”
“Wanna go for a drive?”
No, you wanted to wallow in your self-pity and die.
“Sure.”
After slipping on some shoes, you walk out of your trailer and trek the small way toward Eddie’s. He was leaning against his van, cigarette in hand. The moon showered Eddie in its light, making him look ethereal. You didn’t check the time before you left but you knew it was a little late already, the moon was high in the sky, set for the night that was to come.
You hadn’t heard him get home earlier you wondered where he had been the entire day. He must have gotten home just now. Weird.
His head perks up at the sound of your shoes hitting the gravel, he gives you that dimpled smile you love so much and drops the cigarette on the ground before putting it out with his shoe. “Thought we both could go for a drive, hop in.”
He didn’t wait for you to reply and simply walked around to the driver’s side and turned the ignition on.
You took your place in the passenger seat and instantly rummaged through the glove box to look for a new cassette to play.
He looks over at you as you pop in Dio’s The Last in Line, wordlessly. The beginning cords of  “We Rock” play as you sit back and look out the window.
“Where are you taking us, ole mystery man?” you say after a couple of minutes.
“Oh, it’s a surprise, fair maiden.” he laughs softly, “Not really, uh I'm just heading to Lover’s Lake.” His voice is soft, almost too soft. It confuses you slightly, prompting you to look over at your best friend. His eyes were focused on the stretch of road ahead, it felt like he was ignoring your eyes.
The both of you don't say anything after that, simply basking in Ronnie James Dio’s voice till you arrive at your destination.
The soft shutter of the ignition indicated that Eddie had parked already, so you quickly unbuckle yourself and crawled to the back of the van while Eddie cracked open the doors.
He had settled on a lone area off the edge of the lake. It was quiet. You took a quick glance at the dashboard before leaving your seat and noticed that it was nine already. The moon shined on the soft ripples coming from the lake, relaxing your surprisingly tense shoulders.
“Here,” Eddie’s voice cuts the air, offering you a blanket from the back of his van to you.
“Thanks,” you say after a beat, “so, are you excited about tomorrow or are you completely shitting yourself about taking your dream girl to the prom, Munson?”
You peer down to look at his knees that were on display with the worn-out jeans he loved to wear so much. The glint of his rings sparkled signaling that he was drawing shapes on his thigh. One of his nervous ticks, you noted.
You focus your vision back on the water ahead of you, ignoring his stare; you will yourself to not make eye contact with his brown eyes.
You can do this.
You will not lose your best friend over some silly crush.
“Let’s…not talk about Chrissy. I wanna talk about you. I feel like I don’t know about anything that’s happened to you in the last two weeks.” he pauses for a second, “I’m sorry that I’ve just been talking about her all the time recently.”
The unexpected apology throws you off, you look over at your best friend and bump his shoulder, “Are you okay?”
The question hangs in the air for a bit, it seemed as if he was mulling it over. Your eyebrows twitch in confusion.
“You remember that day when you learned what prom was and declared to the entire town that you were going to attend it once it was your turn?” His eyes were glassy.
“Yeah, I wouldn’t stop talking about it for weeks, you threatened me that if I wouldn't shut up you’d tape my mouth shut.” You laugh quietly at the memory.
After your laughter dies down as you glance over at him. He looks at you and smiles. “I’m not…,” he hesitates, “I’m not sure…how I should style my hair tomorrow,”
Your smile falters slightly before you catch yourself and beam up at him, “I love your hair the way it is, Eds, keep it like that.”
He nods at you and looks away, “We should probably get back, I didn’t tell my mom where I was going,” you murmur.
“Of course, can’t have the princess getting in trouble, can we?” he grins at you.
Oh, how you love him.
♡‧₊˚
If you were to tell fourteen-year-old Eddie Munson that he would be attending prom with the girl he’d been crushing on. He wouldn't have believed you.
He’d turn to his best friend and laugh in your face with her, cackling to the insane statements along with her. That same best friend who encouraged him to ask Chrissy in the first place. The same best friend who has dreamed about prom since she was a kid and the same best friend whom he wouldn't be attending it with.
You’d think Eddie would be excited, but he couldn’t help but have a small feeling inside his heart that hurt.
He drums his fingers on his steering wheel, the anxiety pooling in his stomach. His eyes glance over at your trailer, your blinds were pulled but he could see a sliver of light peeking through, most likely from your lamp. It was quiet in there, he assumed you were listening to your walkman. You had always preferred listening to your music with your headphones rather than blaring it out loud as he did.
He closes his eyes and lets out a long sigh. “Fuck, she was right,” he mutters.
He couldn’t stop thinking about what Chrissy had said.
He had been walking out of the school after he had finished pre-planning everything he wanted to do in the next Hellfire session. Yesterday, the guys had completely thrown him off so he needed to fix up his original idea for the next session next week. It never hurt to start early.
He was making his way over to the picnic table in the woods behind the school so that he could smoke before he left home for the day. His eyes glanced around the parking lot before passing through it, not many students were loitering around; choosing to immediately book it after the bell seeing as it was Friday and on top of that the Friday before prom.
He had barely stepped onto the grass that led to the woods when he heard his name being called.
He looked over his shoulder only to see Chrissy walking toward him. “Hey, Eddie,” her polished nails were waving at him, causing him to stop in his tracks.
“What’s up?” he shoots her a quick smile.
“Oh, were you busy? Because I really need to talk to you.” Her pleading eyebrows were creased in a slight worry.
“Ah nah, I was just heading to my spot to smoke before I went home.” his gaze shifts back to her, “Walk with me?”
Chrissy simply nods and begins walking beside him.
Eddie attempts to find something to say during the short distance to the picnic table, scouring through his brain in hopes of making the walk less awkward than it was.
It was never awkward with you.
He shook his head before he realized he had finally reached his destination, he sits down and pulls out a cigarette before beckoning Chrissy to say what she needed to say.
She takes a deep breath. “When you asked me to go to prom with you, I was inclined to say no.” She pauses for a second before catching herself, “Not in that way, um, I just never really thought you liked me. I mean I don’t think we’ve ever really talked before.” She thinks for a bit, “Maybe during the middle school talent show…” Her eyes shoot up to his, “god what was the name of your band, it was such an insane name, I loved it.”
“Corroded Coffin” Eddie answers with a smile.
“Corroded Coffin! Oh my gosh yes!” She laughs before looking off to the side, “I honestly thought you were dating someone already.” She says your name, “Yeah I could’ve sworn y’all were dating, so when you asked me to go to prom, it completely caught me off guard.” She nods to herself in confirmation.
At the sound of your name, Eddie perks up. “Wait you thought I was dating her?” He quickly laughs, waving her off. “No, we’re not-we’re not dating, we’re just friends.” He doesn’t meet her eyes.
“I don’t think you want to be.” She says quietly.
His eyebrows screw together, “what?”
“Look, I don’t know you too well and I don’t really know her too well either,” she bites her lip slightly, “I think you should go with her…to prom.”
Eddie just stares at her, not saying a word.
Chrissy sets her bag down and sits down now, “I’ve seen you during lunch, well god, I mean how could I not!” she laughs and shakes her head quickly, “Your face just looks so…in love when you look at her. It’s like you hang onto every word she says to you. And I’m not sure you realize that. And if you haven’t, she hasn’t either and is probably devastated that you asked me to prom and not her.”
Eddie finally looks into Chrissy’s eyes now. Her eyes were big and full, they look a little glassy like she was going to cry, but not of sadness, no, Eddie didn’t think she was upset, she looks like she was in awe. In awe at him. At the love that he had not for her but for his best friend. Her face looked like she yearned for this supposed love that she claimed he had for you.
She smiles, “So, I’m not going to prom with you, Eddie,” Chrissy says with a tone of finality.
“Thank you…for this intervention,” he looks away, “didn’t know I needed it.” his voice was quiet.
Chrissy laughs but doesn’t say anything as she gets up, she ruffles slightly with her bookbag and slings it onto her back. She begins to walk away before she turns around to look at Eddie one last time. “I better see you at prom tomorrow and not alone.” She sent him one last smile and walked away.
Surprisingly, Eddie wasn’t upset or sad, instead, he was relieved.
He sits there in silence for what felt like an eternity. The afternoon sunlight beamed on him like stripes due to the trees providing a bit of shade for him. He felt like he was processing everything and nothing at the same time.
He had to leave, he had to get to you now.
Eddie’s mind was still reeling when he was getting close to Forest Hills, as much as he wanted to park in front of your trailer, run into your room, and tell you all that he was thinking,
he simply couldn’t.
So instead he doesn’t turn into the trailer park but rather keeps driving.
How could he have been so blind? All these years of pining after Chrissy Cunningham he thought it was her he wanted. He thought that whenever he would talk about her smile and how her face would light up a room it was Chrissy he was talking about but in actuality, it was you. It was always you.
It has always been you, ever since he had moved in beside your trailer into his uncle's. It has always been you cheering for him like when he had gotten nervous to go on stage for the talent show and Jeff had thrown up backstage. It has always been you whom he would talk to all through the night after you would slip through the window in his room. It has always been you listening to him rant on and on about the new campaign he was preparing for the guys. It has always been you. It will always be you.
And now it was dark outside, the moon replacing the sun for the night. Eddie sits submerged in your presence at Lover’s Lake. He knows that you suspect something is off about him.
“Are you okay?”
No Eddie wasn’t okay. He wanted to scream to the world that he had been in love with you for the longest time. To lose his voice after telling you about all the little things he loves about you, how he was stupid for not realizing sooner and for making you go through the last few years of him pining after a girl he never even loved.
But instead, he gives a lame excuse of not knowing how to style his hair.
He sees your smile falter but doesn't say anything.
And then you offer him that beautiful smile of yours.
God, he hates himself. Why couldn’t Eddie just say that he loves you? He curses himself for being such a coward.
Oh, how you love him.
Oh, how he loves you.
♡‧₊˚
You spent the morning lounging in your bed basking in your sadness before you force yourself to get distracted with the makeup and the music from the reality that was your life.
So what if the guy you’ve been in love with was going to prom with someone else? Totally not the end of the world, right?
“Sweetie, you should be leaving to pick up Robin or you’re going to be late.” Your mom’s voice echoes throughout the trailer.
“Yeah, I'm almost done” you yell back as you grab your heels.
Your eyes dart over at your window. You couldn’t help to notice that Eddie’s van was still parked, meaning he hasn’t left to pick Chrissy up yet. It was getting late already, prom was at seven but it was already quarter past and you had assumed Chrissy would want to get there early or something.
You finish putting your heels on and go to look in the mirror. This was it. You were finally going to attend prom, granted not with Eddie but you were still going with your friends.
With one last look in the mirror, you grab your purse and head out of the safe haven that was your room.
The sound of your doorbell rings throughout the trailer, “I’ll get it,” you say as you pass your mom in the kitchen.
Weird, must’ve been Robin.
A smirk finds its way on your face as you walk up toward the door. “No way, you drove here yourself-”
You open the door, fully expecting a dolled-up Robin (to her standards) in front of you, but to your surprise, it was someone else.
Eddie.
He was standing there in his tux that you had helped tailor. His hair’s down, it looks freshly washed and his curls look bouncy as ever; he had taken your advice that you had told him at the lake. He’s wearing that iconic jewelry of his, the rings he had on extenuating his long fingers. He chose to ditch the tie altogether and instead unbuttoned the first two buttons on the shirt, showing a sliver of his collarbones to the world.
“Uh, no I walked over actually,” Eddie says with a laugh.
After getting over your initial shock you smile at your best friend. “Eds, what are you doing here?”
You look at him expectantly and notice his eyes scanning your form, he swallows quickly before he looks back at you. His face had a slight blush to it.
No way. Did Eddie just check you out?
Eddie doesn't reply so you begin to ramble nervously. “Look at you,” you force a laugh, “Look at you going to prom” without me.
He just stares at you, not saying anything, so you continue. “I can't believe you're going with your dream girl,” you smile sadly, “you did it.”
He finally seems to process that he was standing in front of you and quickly stutters out, “Chrissy dumped me,” your eyebrows shoot up, “yeah, I’m not going with her anymore.” His eyes scan your face.
You blink, “Oh, I'm sorry I didn't - you didn’t tell me.”
“She’s not my dream girl”
“Huh?”
“She’s not my dream girl. You are.”
Were you going insane? You didn’t say anything, you couldn’t say anything. What did he mean that you were his dream girl? You simply stared at Eddie, blinking not saying a word. Your mouth was closing and opening attempting to locate words but your brain was currently malfunctioning.
“I don’t think I understand?” your eyes shift behind Eddie’s form, searching for something.
This was a joke. Surely Chrissy was going to pop out from behind and yell “Sike!” and then they were going to laugh in your face because Eddie had found out that you’ve been in love with him and had found it hilarious. This must have been some cruel prank that they were pulling.
But no one comes out. Eddie doesn’t laugh in your face but instead, he steps forward.
“Princess, you’re my dream girl. You always have been, I was just too blind to notice.” His brown eyes look at yours.
Those wide, loving eyes of his. God, you love him.
“I realized that I wasn't in love with Chrissy, she was just a crush that I had when I realized I would never be able to be with you. I think in fear of being rejected by you, I inadvertently did it anyway by developing that fantasy idea of her. It’s not Chrissy I've been in love with all these years, it's you.” He finishes his confession with a final sigh of relief.
You gulp. “You…love me?”
“Of course I love you, how couldn’t I?” he says with a shy smile.
That’s all you needed.
So you kiss him.
After years of pining. After years of wondering why Eddie wouldn’t just look your way. Of vying after him, you finally have his attention.
The kiss feels rushed like the two of you were chasing the years of lost time. Cursing at the other for having been missing out on this one single act. Hell, at this moment you're not sure how you were able to go years without kissing Eddie, and you don’t ever want to know how again.
He pulls away reluctantly. “So,” he pecks you once more, “if you’ll allow me, I made a deal, and I intend on keeping that promise, sweetheart.”
You crinkle your eyebrows in confusion for a second before it hits you,
he remembered.
A grin breaks out on your face. The childish voices ring in your memories.
“You’ll go with me to prom right, Eds?”
“Only if you let me swing now.”
“Deal.”
“I’d love to, Eds.”
A grin splits onto Eddie’s face, “Whew, thank god, I almost thought I had gotten all pretty for no reason.”
You felt giddy. Your heart was overcome with emotion, you hoped you wouldn't wake up from this dream.
But this wasn’t a dream. This was true.
Interlacing your fingers with Eddie’s you close the door and smile, “Yeah, let’s go to prom together.”
“Wait, what about Robin?”
“Ah, I already called her.”
“Oh, how presumptuous of you.”
“Big words, fair maiden, you know just how to get me going don’t cha, princess?”

Chapter 4: First Date
Jackson, Spring 2024
You have dinner with Joel and Ellie a few more times over the next few weeks. Sometimes just the three of you, and sometimes with Tommy and Maria as well.
(Maria has warmed up a bit to Joel, following his return with Ellie in tow. She’s blunt and opens up more easily to people that have the Joel stamp of approval, which is just Tommy, sort of Maria, and you – all of the adults in her would-be family that don’t know how to talk to each other quite yet.)
Joel manages to join you for lunch a few times as well, and he listens to your tales of the gardens and the stables with the same slightly incredulous air that Tommy still does – you, an indoor girl, enjoying working outdoors. Anyone who knew you Before would never believe it, but no one here except the Miller brothers knows enough about you to find it at all odd. He laughs almost as loud at your story about getting stuck in the manure as Tommy did witnessing it. Right in the middle of the dining hall.
You and Joel also spend a couple of afternoons listening to the songs on the CD with Ellie and telling her a bit about each one. She likes the faster songs, like “Arrasando” and “Fruta Fresca”, and the ones that make her laugh, like “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” and “Pickup Man.”
(You tell her the story of how a woman hit on Joel in the grocery store parking lot, leaning suggestively on his pickup truck, and how she quoted the song (you know, there’s something women like about a pickup man), and how you and Sarah never let him live it down, singing the song to him every chance you got, playing up different parts (I never knew you were a pickup man!). You even got him to sing along eventually. She laughs so hard at your reenactment of it all that she falls off the couch. She and Sarah would have gotten along like a house on fire, you think.)
She scoffs a little at the romantic songs like the teenager she is.
Listening to the songs is hard, and you notice that Joel skips a couple of them (you don’t blame him, and both of you avoid the other’s eyes when he does). But Ellie brings a brightness to every room she’s in. Even as she’s cursing up a storm about missing her favorite food in the dining hall one night because of family dinner - right up until Tommy walks in the door with a plate, just for her. You can feel something in yourself start to bloom again as you tell stories about Sarah and Joel from Before to this child who asks questions about unexpected things, like strobe lights in clubs and menus at fancy restaurants and piñatas at family parties. It lets you take a step back and try to see it all through her eyes, unfamiliar and new. It’s refreshing even when it hurts.
You think it’s having the same effect on Joel, but you haven’t talked about it. You can only see what he’s showing on his face and you think it mirrors what’s on yours. You haven’t talked more about your 20 years apart, other than some small details here and there. Ellie hasn’t asked again. You see him looking at you sometimes like he wants to ask, wants to reach out, but he always hesitates. Slow.
After a few weeks (almost a month since they’ve been back in Jackson) of getting more comfortable around each other, Tommy ramps up his campaign to get the two of you to join him at the bar one night. You’ve been there with Tommy a few times, of course, but you haven’t been one for lingering there since you’ve been in Jackson. You were on your own for so long that at first it was odd to be around so many people. You know Joel has been with Tommy a few times, but he didn’t stay long, either. Always wanting to be home for Ellie.
Eventually Tommy pesters you into agreeing by getting Maria to hang with Ellie for the night – as much as they haven’t quite bonded yet, Ellie is still curious and a bit excited at the prospect of a baby, and the plan is for her to help decorate the nursery. You saw the look on her face when Joel referred to the baby as her cousin, and you think Ellie herself can’t look straight on at the emotion that came over her in that moment. She’s still getting used to the whole family thing. You and Joel are too, but you’re easing back into something you had once and lost, which is different than discovering something you’ve never had at all.
The night of your outing you don’t let yourself dither by your closet. You allow yourself two options and once you decide you head downstairs to meet Joel and Tommy by the road. For a moment you marvel, again, at the novelty of doing something that used to be mundane – choosing your outfit for a night out.
Tommy looks like he used to at Christmas, so excited to drag you both out of the house. Joel looks just as handsome as always — shoulders broad in his flannel shirt — but he’s also side-eyeing his brother like he might want to put him in a headlock if he doesn’t stop spilling good cheer everywhere.
“Alright, Millers, let’s get this show on the road.” You tuck an arm through both of theirs, one on each side like you used to do when you went out dancing. For a moment the once-familiar feeling of being surrounded by your family like this takes your breath away. But the three of you easily fall into step as you head towards the only bar in town.
“You should bring your CD out sometime, get everyone to dance.” Tommy looks hopeful as he makes his request, glancing between you and Joel as you walk.
“Maybe. I don’t want to lose it, or break it.”
“I know, sunshine – we can be careful.”
You shrug, and ask what kind of music is going on tonight. Sometimes there’s live music, a few people in town who can play various instruments, but often it’s this old-as-dirt jukebox that sometimes needs coaxing to play more than a few chosen songs without going rogue and disregarding whatever you picked next. Sounds like tonight is a jukebox night.
The three of you arrive at the bar, and as Tommy moves to enter ahead of you, Joel lets his hand slide down to twine his fingers through yours. He squeezes your hand as the two of you step inside, reminding you of all the times he did that to reassure you Before, when you were still learning how to dance. It makes you smile.
Tommy waves you over to a table in the corner and heads to the bar to get drinks. You slide in beside Joel, feeling a bit awkward as you turn to him while you wait for Tommy to come back. “He’s just as smug as he was that first time you and I went line dancing with him.”
Joel huffs a laugh, looking uncomfortable in public in a way you’d never seen him Before. He keeps checking on the people in the bar, eyes never staying in one spot for long as he sweeps them over the room. As he turns back to you, he replies, “Tommy loves to make me uncomfortable.”
You tilt your head at him, considering. “I get now, I’m not totally comfortable here either, but then? You always seemed so confident when we went out dancing. Helped me shake off my nerves.”
“That was because of you, darlin’.” He leans closer. “It was impossible for me to feel uncomfortable with you on my arm. All I could see was you, anyway.” You duck your head a little to hide your reaction from the room, and he gives you that half smile that raises goosebumps down your arms, like it always did. “Before I met you he used to drag me out and I probably stuck out like a sore thumb, anxious and frowning in a corner by the bar.”
You laugh at the image, just as Tommy returns with your drinks. “What are you two laughing about over here, hmm?”
Your eyes meet Joel’s again, and he’s giving you a warning glance against Tommy’s teasing. “We’re just reminiscing about going out dancing.”
Tommy grins widely. “I’m telling you, we can have a dance night here. Just need the right music for it. The jukebox does alright, though there’s a lot of slower songs. It doesn't have the widest selection.”
“Neither do I, with just the one CD.”
Tommy shakes his head at your response. “Ah, but what a CD it is! I remember that mix. Sarah always had a way with a playlist.” You notice Joel shifting his weight at the mention of Sarah, but you decide not to draw attention to it.
“You just want me to embarrass myself with how little I remember.”
“Nope, not going to fall for a tall tale like that, sunshine. I heard from Ellie that you two still got it.” Tommy winks at you. You forgot what having a brother was like, with all the teasing, and you can’t help the swell of emotion in you as Tommy grins at you. You take a sip of your drink to cover it, and cough.
“What the hell is this?”
“What, you don’t like it? It’s the strongest thing we got.”
“Did someone make this in their bathtub? I thought we had whiskey in this town.” You hold up your glass to the light, eyeing the light brown liquid distrustfully.
Tommy smirks at you. “Sure we do, sunshine, but tonight’s for having fun.” You roll your eyes at him. Joel is hiding his face in his hand, but you know he’s just trying to hide how much he’s laughing at your back and forth.
“You, Tommy Miller, are trouble. Just as much now as you ever were then.” You point at him and go for a stern expression, but you miss by a mile when you start to laugh. He laughs, too, and Joel just shakes his head at the both of you.
“Aw come on, I’m an upstanding member of the community these days, you know? No one’s dragged me out of the drunk tank in Jackson.”
“Jackson doesn’t have a drunk tank, Tommy.”
“Semantics, sunshine.”
You and Tommy keep the show going through your first drink with only a little bit of input from Joel, but you can see him smiling and starting to enjoy himself. With the second drink comes the return of Tommy’s campaign for dancing.
“Look, I’ll go pick out a song from the jukebox, and I swear it’ll be a good one. See, there’s already a few people dancing.”
You look over, and sure enough, there are a few pairs sort of swaying in place by the jukebox. You turn back to Tommy with an unimpressed look on your face, but he grins unrepentantly. “You’ll just have to show them how it’s done, won’t you?”
He heads over to the jukebox anyway, so you turn to Joel. “What do you think? You up for it?” He looks around the room before his eyes return to yours.
“I’ve never turned down a chance to dance with you, darlin’, and I’m not about to start, even here.”
His words send heat rushing towards your face and you bite your lip to hide your reaction. He sees it anyway. “Smooth moves, Miller, as always.”
He shrugs. “With you, it’s always just been a matter of letting myself say what I want to say or what I’m feeling and somehow it works. I was never this smooth before you, so you should blame yourself, you know, you bring it out in me.” You shove his shoulder, laughing a little. “Or maybe it’s only meant to work on you.” He smiles a little when you roll your eyes, trying to hide the effect his words have on you. You wonder if the drink has opened him up a bit tonight, after your weeks of progress so slow you’ve almost been standing still. The thought makes you hesitate.
“Really, though, this is ok?”
He regards you for a moment, and his expression turns intent. He leans in to whisper in your ear, “it’s more than ok, darlin’. Let me show you.” You shiver all the way down your spine. You nod.
Tommy returns triumphant from the jukebox – he’s set the next two songs, but then can’t make any promises about what comes after. The first is playing now, a slow song that won’t really do, but it’s already almost over. Joel stands and extends his hand to you to guide you out of the booth and towards the small dance floor on the other side of the room near the jukebox.
Right as you get there the track changes, and you hear the familiar opening notes of “The Fireman.” You have to give it to Tommy – this is a good choice. Good for dancing, but not one that either you or Joel associate too many memories with. You take Joel’s right hand with your left as he places his left on your back.
“You ready?”
“Get on with it, cowboy.”
He smirks, and does just that. He doesn’t hesitate, just starts two-stepping across the small dance floor. It becomes clear pretty quickly that not only do the two of you remember the steps, you’re almost, if not just as good together now as you were then. He starts to get a little fancy with it and throws in some spins that lead you from one end of the dance floor to the other, followed by a pretzel. You find yourself laughing, exhilarated, and you see a similar expression on Joel’s face. He looks lighter, his shoulders a little taller. He brings you back to face him, doing some simple steps for a moment, and then gets a glint in his eye that you remember well.
“Joel–” is all you manage before he spins you out, pulls you back in, and you fall into his arms as he dips you, tipping you over his knee and off your feet, just for a moment. It’s not the fanciest move you’ve ever done with him, but it leaves you breathless, faces close together as he holds you there for a moment, smirking.
He sets you back upright, and slows it down a bit. You can’t drag your eyes away from his but neither of you say anything. It feels like you’ve created a bubble where it’s still 2002, and you and Joel are tearing across the dance floor in one of the clubs in Austin, like no time has passed. You even heard Tommy whistle over the music when Joel spun you off your feet. Just like old times.
As you let your body take over, you start to feel a tingling sensation that travels from the base of your spine all the way to the top of your head. You’re getting overwhelmed, and your body knows what to do, but your mind is checking out. It’s like you're experiencing two things at once – your memories, and what’s happening now. You realize that you and Joel are still moving, but both of your expressions have gone still and unreadable. When the music stops, so do you, and for a moment, neither of you move from your embrace.
Suddenly you notice that your heart is racing. You’re sweating and you’re out of breath. When did that happen? Joel’s chest is heaving, too. Distantly you remember Tommy saying he had no idea what song would come next and you wonder if you should move aside.
Before you can move even a finger, you hear the jukebox switching tracks, and you see the next song slam into Joel like a freight train. The first notes are barely over and he’s already pulled away from you, turning sharply and heading for the door so fast you realize your hands are still hanging in the air where he left them as the door to the bar closes behind him. You let them drop and start to move, you’re not sure where to, when you feel Tommy come up next to you.
“Hey, sunshine, you alright?” HIs hand comes up to support your elbow as he moves in front of you and blocks the room’s view. You want to respond, but all you can hear is Lonestar singing about being in love, and all you can see is the Millers’ backyard in 2002. You feel the ghost of Joel’s hands on you and you swear you can hear him singing “Amazed” to you as you sway in place. You remember choosing this song for your first dance at your wedding. You blink your eyes, dazed.
You fist your hand in Tommy’s shirt, shaking him a little. “I need… outside. I need to go outside. Tommy, take me outside.” He’s already leading you to the door before you finish speaking.
Outside, you turn sharply to the right, planning to prop yourself up against the outside wall of the bar and remember how to breathe, but you find that apparently Joel had the same thought. He’s got one hand on his chest and the other in a death grip on the frame of one of the windows. He’s gasping for breath. You and Tommy call out at the same time, but you don’t think he hears you.
Tommy starts to move towards him, but you elbow him away and slide between Joel and the wall, putting your right hand to his chest and moving his right hand from his chest to yours. “Joel, look at me.” He sucks in a breath and does, clutching at your shirt where you put his hand. “Breathe with me, ok, baby?” He doesn’t respond, but the two of you lock eyes and you start to breathe together. You can see Tommy out of the corner of your eye – he’s turned his back to the two of you, ushering people on as they pass by.
You breathe together for a little while and eventually, Joel’s breaths come more easily, as do yours. You feel his hand relax and yours does the same where you’re clutching his right arm, holding him in place. Both of you are shaking. He tries to speak, clears his throat, and tries again.
“I can’t…” You shake your head sharply, afraid to let him finish that sentence. He moves his hand from the window frame to your cheek in response and smooths his thumb across your cheekbone. It settles you.
“Let me try that again. I’m sorry, darlin’, I don’t know if I can be that man anymore.”
You’re confused. “Joel, what man?”
“I’m not…” he takes a deep breath. “I’m a mess. I know I said slow, and we are moving slow, but I can’t see my way to our destination. I’m not the man I was Before and I don’t know if I can be him again.” He looks at you, eyes wide and afraid, and suddenly you’re angry. The words that have been caught in your throat for a month finally spill out.
“Joel, I’m not who I was Before, either. We’ve talked about it a little, but there’s a lot you don’t know about me yet. Who I became and what I did. You don’t have a monopoly on the pain of the last 20 years, alright?” He opens his mouth, but you shake your head and tighten your grip on his right arm. “No. We need to talk, and we need to learn about each other. But the truth of you is still there.” You flatten your hand over his heart. “I can see you in there, Joel Miller. I can see you in how you parent Ellie and how you talk to Tommy and how you look at me. I can see the way you take care of us and the way you’ve started to step up to help the people here.” You grip his shirt and shake him a little, doing everything you can to keep eye contact. “It’s scary, sure, I’m terrified. But I’m not giving this up before it even starts because it’s hard, or because sometimes the memories will overwhelm us. I already lived 20 hard years without you and I’m not doing it again. Not when that’s not what either of us really want.”
Joel looks like you cracked open his chest, actually gripping his heart in your hand instead of his flannel shirt, his expression wild.
“All I’m asking, baby, is that you try. I can do one step forward, two steps back. As long as we keep going forward, it doesn’t matter how much we backtrack on our way.” He doesn’t respond right away – he looks over your face, and down to his hand on your chest and back up to meet your eyes. You can see tears glistening on his eyelashes.
“Alright, darlin’. You don’t have to convince me to go after what I want. I’ve just been afraid to let myself have it. I don’t… I don’t want you to discover I’ve become someone you can’t abide.”
You bring both hands up to cup his face. “Joel, I’m afraid of the same thing. But I want to figure it out together, not apart.” He nods, and turns his face into your right hand, taking a deep breath. You feel him kiss your palm, lightly, and you shiver. “We can still take the long way. I just want you to walk it with me.”
You feel the adrenalin of the last fifteen minutes start to leave you and suddenly you’re a bit unsteady on your feet. He holds you up, moving his hands to your waist.
“Are you alright, darlin’? Let’s sit down.” You shake your head.
“I think I’d like to head home.”
“Let me take you home, then.”
You both turn to find Tommy has moved a bit further away, but he’s still guarding you both from the foot traffic at the door. He looks over when you look at him, and smiles a little ruefully. “I’m sorry about that, y’all.”
“Nothing to apologize for, Tommy.”
“I can get that song off the jukebox–”
Joel interrupts him, firmly. “No, leave it. I might…” he sighs. “We might want to hear it. Later.” You smile at him a little as he tucks your right arm through his left.
You say goodnight to Tommy and start to head home. The streets of Jackson are dark and quiet. You’re both quiet, too, letting the intense moment you just had settle as you lean on each other for support. Soon enough your houses come into view, and Joel walks all the way to your front door before he stops and turns to you and says your name softly.
“I have to thank you. You always know what to say to get me out of my head.”
“You always did the same thing for me, you know? We were good together for a reason.”
He smiles, and nods. “I know it.”
You reach out to pull him in for a hug, and you both squeeze a bit tighter than you have so far, since your reunion. You feel his left hand cup the back of your neck as the right slides down your back and pulls you closer. You’ve been through an emotional wringer in the last half hour, but you still feel your body start to respond to this man. Like it always has.
You turn your head so you can speak quietly into his left ear. “I enjoyed our dance, you know? Before all that.” His hand takes a firm grip on the back of your neck and you shiver.
“Oh, I know you did. I could tell.”
You laugh, and smack him lightly on the shoulder. “Oh yeah? Well you were enjoying it too, I could see it.”
“Never said I wasn’t. Never could take my eyes off you on the dance floor.” He pulls back a bit, and you meet his eyes. Gone, for the moment, is the worry from before – what you see in his gaze makes your breath catch in your throat. He smirks at you and runs his thumb up the side of your neck.
“Can I kiss you goodnight, pretty girl?” As he says it he tilts your head up towards his. Joel has always called you darlin’, from the very first time you met, and you love it. But there were some pet names he only used at certain times and, well. Pretty girl has the same effect on you now as it did then. Between that and his hand on your neck you swear your feet float off the ground.
You’re breathless, but you manage an actual response. “I thought you’d never ask, cowboy.” He huffs a laugh at that, and then pulls you in close.
You’ve kissed Joel Miller countless times. He kissed you for the first time in his backyard in Austin in 2001 and after that you can’t even recall every time or place you kissed this man, there were so many. You wouldn’t say you got used to it, but you did come to expect it – Joel Miller, available and ready to be kissed by you, whenever you’d like. You knew him inside and out and you’d kissed him everywhere and every way you could imagine, back then.
But everything about this kiss is new.
Joel softly presses his lips to yours, tilting your head with his grip on your neck, strong and confident. You circle your arms around his waist, moving even closer as you press into the kiss. He moves with you, pulling back a little, but returning almost immediately and kissing you a little deeper, a little firmer. You part your lips and you feel him inhale sharply before he slides his hand down from your waist to brazenly grab your ass, deepening the kiss just a bit, running his tongue along your bottom lip and groaning slightly as you bite softly as his lip in response.
You’ve touched him where you’re touching him before and he’s touched you like this. But it doesn’t feel the same. It feels new, and heady. It feels like a first kiss and a millionth kiss all at once. He’s kissing you like he knows you, and he clearly remembers what you like, but it’s also like kissing a stranger. One who’s picked up new moves that just echo the ones you remember from Before. One whose body is familiar but also different, changed and aged in ways you haven’t had a chance to explore just yet.
Joel shifts his weight in a way that turns you slightly, allowing him to slide his hand down further and grip the back of your thigh before pressing you against your own front door. He uses his grip to pull your leg up, stepping closer and pinning you in place with his hips.
He tilts your chin up again with the hand on your neck and uses his thumb to open your mouth wide. You’re pressed tight between him and the door, sinking into your growing arousal, sinking into him. He looks down at you, mouth held open and waiting for him. You feel hot and dazed, watching as he runs his tongue across his own bottom lip slowly. He meets your eyes, gaze heavy, before lowering his head and devouring your mouth. You sneak your hands inside his shirt to run your nails up his back as your tongues tangle. Joel moans, so quietly you almost don’t hear it, and thrusts his hips into yours. Your breath catches as you feel his arousal meet your own. You feel desire pooling in your lower abdomen and your legs start to shake.
You might have gone on like that all night – you might have let him fuck you against the door, unashamed, outside where anyone can see you – but a door a few houses down suddenly slams shut, startling you both.
Joel almost jumps away from you at the sudden interruption. Not far, he’s still got his hands on your hip and your neck. Your hands rest on his belt. He’s breathing hard and you suddenly realize you are, too. You shake your head, blinking, and start to claw your way back to awareness – your connection was so familiar, so easy, so much like Before. You’d sunk into those depths like slipping into a dream.
You blink at each other before you both let go at the same moment, standing up straight and stepping away. He lets his eyes dance over you, taking in your mussed clothes and swollen lips, before closing his own and pressing his palms to his eyes. He takes a deep breath. You can see the familiar outline of his cock in his jeans, and you force yourself to look away.
“I need to… I’m sorry, darlin’, but we shouldn’t. Not yet.” You nod. You try to convince yourself it’s the smart thing to do, even as you feel the pull of him like a magnet. Even if all you want in this moment is to pull him inside and make him finish what he started, just on the inside of the door this time. For some privacy.
“We still need to talk,” you manage. Your voice sounds unfamiliar to your own ears, but Joel nods in response. “But we agreed, right? This, us, together – that’s the destination. Even if we take it slow.”
“Slow,” he repeats, eyes lingering on your lips. He blinks, and meets your eyes. “Slow, yes.”
“We should walk away before we jump each other where the whole town can see.” You smile as you say it. It doesn’t sit right on your face. You take a deep breath and move to open your door without taking your eyes off Joel.
He smiles back, and nods. His attempt looks just as uncomfortable as yours. “Alright, darlin’, I’ll see you tomorrow? Or soon?”
“Of course. Tomorrow.” Your feet feel rooted in place until he finally manages a step off of your porch. Your face feels like a mask as you try to present something pleasant, agreeable, fine with watching your heart walk away from you. The connection you just reawakened pulls taut between you and tugs at something deep in your chest. You keep your eyes on each other, and once he reaches his own porch you finally open your door. You take one last look, chest tight, before entering your houses at the same time.
Inside, you close your door and immediately slide down against it to sit on the floor, head in your hands.
...
Austin, Spring 2001
You and Joel talked a few times between Sunday and Friday – standing in your front yard, once, and over the phone twice, finalizing your plans and flirting so much you found yourself not paying attention and getting wound up in the cord of the old phone that came with the house. He told you not to waste your limited texts on him, the dinosaur, but you texted him a couple of times anyway. Sarah must have taught him a few things because he actually sent you a winky face back once. It made you laugh and clutch your phone to your chest like some kind of swooning maiden. You told Emily, your friend at work, and she laughed at you so hard she snorted soda up her nose at lunch. Served her right.
Friday arrived just in time to save you from working yourself up too much into a state of anticipation and nerves. You made yourself stick with the outfit you had picked out on Wednesday night when you talked to Joel on the phone and tried to figure out what was appropriate to wear dancing. He told you you’d be beautiful no matter what, but you wanted to look good on his arm for your first – and long awaited – date. You ran the outfit by Emily, too, and she gave it her official born-and-bred-in-Texas stamp of approval. (She also told you it was a good idea to wear jeans, because everyone else would likely do the same.) It wasn’t going to get much better than that.
Joel was going to pick you up at 7:30 after he dropped Sarah off for her sleepover. At 7:15 you were standing in your entryway with nothing left to do, feeling a little foolish. You looked around for something to occupy you and had just decided you’d put some dishes in the dishwasher, maybe, when there was a knock at the door. You glanced at the clock –7:17 – and raised one eyebrow while opening the door to find Joel on the other side. He was wearing cowboy boots, black jeans that were so tight in the hips it should have been illegal, and a button up green shirt that made your mouth water at how it showed off every line of his torso.
“A bit early, aren’t we?” you teased, leaning your shoulder against your door frame and crossing your arms.
“Well hello there, beautiful. I couldn’t wait any longer to see you. And you answered that door pretty quick, you know, to be teasing me like that. Were you waiting for me?” He grinned at you and winked. What a flirt.
“Maybe I was. You’re looking pretty sharp yourself, cowboy.”
Joel offered his hand to you and you took it, stepping outside to join him before locking your front door. “Ready to go?”
“Lead the way.”
He handed you into his truck and set off for the taco place he’d been on you to try for months.
(He’d learned earlier in the week while you were talking in your front yard that you still hadn’t gone, and the incredulous way he said your name had made you laugh.
“How? Darlin’, we told you about it months ago!”
“I’m busy, ok! And maybe I was waiting for an invitation.” You smiled and raised one eyebrow at him.
He grinned, but shook his head.
“Well, this can’t stand, darlin’. Seems like I’ll just have to take over from here, hmm? Make sure my girl is getting the best Austin has to offer.” He definitely caught your reaction to my girl, stepping closer and cupping your face with his right hand. You smiled at him, a little dazzled.
“Pretty sure of yourself, huh, cowboy?” You smoothed your hands around his waist and linked your fingers at the small of his back.
“Nah. Pretty damn sure of how much you deserve to be taken care of, more like.” You felt like you were going to swoon again, and really, twice in one week? This man.)
So you headed towards the taco place in the truck. Joel asked you about your week at work, how your students were doing, and he smiled a little when you told him that Emily approved your outfit for a night of dancing.
“You tell her thank you from me, darlin’, I sure do approve, too.” He reached over and set his right hand on your thigh, squeezing gently. You laughed and rolled your eyes a little, moving to hold his hand.
The taco place turned out to be pretty crowded, but there were plenty of tables outside and soon you were settled with tacos and drinks. Your table was cozy, a two-person set-up right towards the end of their outdoor deck, which was strung with fairy lights.
“Well? What do you think?”
“It’s lovely, Joel.” You felt his boot slide forward and settle against your foot. You smiled at him, resting your chin in your hand. “I’m glad you asked me out.”
Joel reached over and ran his thumb across your bottom lip, fingers cupping your jaw. “You got no idea how glad I am that you said yes, darlin’.” You opened your mouth to respond, but he left his thumb there, right in the middle of your bottom lip. He pressed down gently and you couldn’t help but dart your tongue forward to meet it. You watched as he inhaled sharply, staring at your mouth. You opened a little wider.
Joel shook himself and cleared his throat, pulling his hand away. “We should eat, baby. We got some dancing to do later.” He picks up a taco.
You smiled, enjoying the effect you clearly had on him, as strong as the effect he had on you. “Right. Dancing.” He shot you a look, picking up what you were implying.
“Eat your tacos, troublemaker.”
“Yes sir!” He coughed at your response, and you laughed, finally relenting. You picked up your own taco and took a bite.
You moaned.
“Joel! This is amazing!” You looked up from your food to find him watching you, dark eyes intent. “What?”
He just grinned, slow and smooth. “Nothing, darlin’.”
You narrowed your eyes at him, but didn’t press.
Over dinner you talked more about your week, about the family party the Millers had coming up, about your worries for your students as you hit the midpoint in the semester. Joel asked you about your coworkers and some of your students by name, and your heart warmed just knowing he remembered them from the stories you’d told him. That he listened and cared.
He told you about the projects he and Tommy were working on now, and some of his frustrations with his crew and the clients. You realized, as you listened, that Joel had never really held back from sharing himself like this, not with you. You knew all of his crew by name and reputation, at this point. You could ask after their partners and you knew their roles on the team. He’d been opening himself up to you the whole time, just like you had with him. You’d barely noticed at first because you hadn’t had anything to compare it to, no idea he could be so careful and distant with people he didn’t know. Knowing him the way you did now, well. You smiled, still listening.
The fairy lights were setting everything off in a warm glow, but you felt like that glow was inside of you, too. Like the connection between the two of you was lighting you up from the inside. Your fingertips were tingling.
You wrapped your ankles around one of his under the table and squeezed. He winked at you in response.
Around 9 you got back in Joel’s truck to head to the club he and Tommy had told you about. Apparently they sometimes played Latin music, but tonight was going to be all country, which meant two-stepping and line dancing. You felt your nerves, which had faded during dinner, start to return.
“Joel, you sure I know enough to go dancing? We barely got started last week.”
He reached over and set his right hand on your thigh again. “You’re ready, darlin’. Just follow my lead – I won’t throw anything too fancy at you.”
You sent him a look. “Something tells me I shouldn’t believe you.”
He grinned, tapping his fingers against your thigh, sending tingles down your spine. “I did say nothing too fancy.”
You soon arrived and Joel opened the car door for you in front of a large wooden building with neon figures in cowboy hats dancing across the facade. He took your hand again, lacing your fingers together, and started walking towards the entrance where there was a small line. It moved quickly and way too soon you were moving inside. Joel squeezed your hand as you entered the club.
The first thing that hit you was the sound – “Ain't Goin' Down ('til the Sun Comes Up)” was blasting through the dark space. You looked around, noticing the tiered side areas with tables and couches surrounding a huge dance floor sunk into the middle of the club. It was absolutely teeming with people line dancing on one side and two-stepping on the other. You looked at Joel and grinned. “Where to first, cowboy?” He smiled back and tugged you towards the dance floor. As you approached you noticed the bar nearby on the first level.
He leaned close so you could hear him, his lips brushing your ear. “Let’s get a drink and then we can watch for a minute, let you get comfortable.” You nodded, smiling at how well he anticipated what would put you at ease.
He got you drinks and somehow snagged a high bar table close to the dance floor. You stepped up to it and he stepped up close to you, to your side and behind you, curving his left arm around your waist. He put his mouth next to your ear again. “What do you think, darlin’?”
You leaned back a little, letting your back touch his chest as you turned towards him to reply. “They’re dancing pretty fast out there, Joel. I don’t think I can keep up.” He raised his right hand to touch your chin lightly, turning your head to the left a bit.
“Look over there, do you see the split?” As soon as he pointed it out you saw it. Yes, there were some dancers going so fast it made your head spin, but there was an area off to the left where pairs were dancing slower, and some looked like they were still learning, like you. “Everyone here is real polite, real aware of each other. No one’ll make you go fast before you’re ready.”
It reassured you, and you leaned back a little more into his chest. He tightened his arm around your waist. “Thanks, cowboy. That does make me feel better.” He grinned at you and winked again.
As you finished your drinks he pointed out people doing the steps he’d taught you, showing you the different ways they could fit together with other things you hadn’t learned yet. You realized the song was changing, and “My Maria” started up. It was a bit slower than the songs had been so far, which seemed like a sign.
You turned to look at Joel. “Should we give it a go?”
He looked surprised, and then pleased that you suggested it. “Let’s get out there, darlin’.” Before he moved away he leaned in for a quick kiss, stealing your breath and then grabbing your hand to lead you to the dance floor. As you reached it, he turned backwards, leading you with both hands into an open spot. He moved you into the stance he’d taught you on Sunday.
“Just follow me, baby. I’ll guide you right.” You nodded and took a deep breath, and then he started moving.
It amazed you how quick you shook off your nerves in Joel’s arms. He was right, you did have a good handle on the basic steps, and he smoothly led you around your little area of the dance floor, deftly steering you around other dancers. He even threw in a spin that left you a little dizzy. “Joel!”
“Sorry, darlin’.” He grinned, not looking sorry at all. “Just wanted to give it a try.”
You smiled back, charmed by his easy confidence on the dance floor. “Just warn me next time.”
A couple songs on the slower side followed “My Maria.” After three, you felt like you were letting the dance happen more naturally instead of staring at your own feet so much. Joel was smiling at you softly, and soon he sent you into another spin and caught you close. You stumbled a little and smiled at him. You realized neither of you were moving. You’d frozen in the middle of the dance floor, when his gaze darted down to your lips.
You'd moved a little closer, breathless, when the crowd suddenly cheered, startling you into stepping back and looking around. You looked at Joel, who was grinning.
“What’s going on?” you asked, but then you heard it. Most of the men were leaving the dance floor – the women in the room took over as “Man! I Feel Like A Woman!” started up. You laughed, but then stopped when you realized Joel was moving away, too.
“Wait, I don’t know what to do!” You were about to get corralled into one of the lines of dancers that was forming around you.
“Just follow along!” he called, grinning. You looked around and saw a woman you didn’t know beckon you closer.
“I’ll show you! Come on!” She broke it down for you slowly, and soon you were moving with the rest of the crowd. It wasn’t that difficult, you realized, just showy. You noticed some were throwing in spins and kicks, but you focused on the basic steps. Once you had a handle on it you looked up, looking for Joel.
When you found him, you almost froze in place. He was looking right at you, and by the look on his face, you knew he hadn’t looked away from you once. He was watching you with dark eyes, intent. It sent a shiver down your spine and you wanted to run to him, or for him to come back and dance with you again. He had a hand on his chin and he slowly rubbed his thumb along his lower lip as you met his eyes. You stumbled a little over the next step and he smirked, not meanly, more knowingly. You smiled back.
For the rest of the song you felt his eyes on you, and you felt like you were dancing only for him. It made you a little bolder – you swayed your hips more and looked at him out of the corner of your eye. His gaze was angled low. It spurred you on.
By the end of the song you were breathless, and you’d worked yourself up so much you needed a break before you hauled off and dragged him into the bathroom. When you met his eye you knew he was feeling the same way.
The crowd surged a bit as you approached, and you tipped forward into his arms at the edge of the dance floor. “How did I do?” you asked, grinning. He studied you, looking slowly down your body and back up. Your face heated in response.
He leaned forward, arms around your waist, lips brushing your ear again, and said, lowly, “I couldn’t keep my eyes off you. You tore up that dance floor, baby. Let me take you for another spin.” You closed your eyes and leaned your head against his, overwhelmed.
“Be My Baby Tonight” was playing then, and it was fast and a little intimidating. You turned your head towards him. “Get me a water, first, and then you can spin me all around the dance floor, cowboy.”
He ducked his head into your neck, leaving a kiss behind your ear, and then nodded. He turned and headed straight to the bar as you leaned against the high table next to you for support. You steadied yourself, taking several deep breaths. Dancing now. More of… that later. The thought made you chuckle, but you closed your eyes briefly against the heady anticipation it sparked in you at the same time.
Joel reappeared back in front of you quickly, drinking his own water and watching you intently as you finished yours. “Daddy’s Money” faded into “Shut Up and Kiss Me” as he grabbed your hand to lead you back onto the dance floor without saying a word. Your heart was racing as you followed, eyes locked on his.
The practice and the line dancing had flipped a switch in you, and you found yourself adding little things that made the dance your own. Swinging your hips a bit slower, throwing in an extra twist, spinning faster. Joel met you step for step and encouraged you with every addition. The rest of the club fell away as the two of you moved in sync. You barely noticed when he threw in a new move – a backwards spin of some kind. He smoothly guided you in and out of it, grinning smugly when it worked.
You danced straight through two more songs (“Fast as You” and “God Blessed Texas”, which the crowd loved). When “What About Now” started you found yourselves pressed even closer together, after the crowd that had formed for “God Blessed Texas”. You kept moving, but Joel caught your eyes right as the chorus started and your breath caught. He pulled you close and, to your surprise, sang softly into your ear, “How ‘bout tonight? Baby for once let’s don’t think twice.” You knew he could play guitar, and he’d mentioned before that he’d wanted to be a singer when he was a kid, but he’d never sung for you. You felt his voice, soft like velvet, sink deep into you and you squeezed your thighs together.
You pulled away and caught his eye, coming to a stop on the dance floor. He looked uncertain for a moment before he saw the look on your face.
“Let’s get out of here, cowboy.”
He smiled wide and immediately turned and led you through the crowd towards the door. It took longer than you wanted but eventually you emerged into the cool night air outside of the club.
At his truck he stopped and slipped his arm around your waist. He whispered in your ear, “where to, baby?”
“Take me home, Joel.”
“Just home?”
You smirked at him. “Why don’t you get me there and find out?”
He laughed, opening the door for you and jogging around to throw himself into the driver seat. As soon as he had the truck in drive his right hand was back on your thigh. Higher this time, and with his thumb rubbing a small circle into the outside while his fingers gripped the inside firmly. You sighed and sank a little lower in your seat. He glanced at you, and stood a little harder on the gas pedal.
Joel must have set a record between the club and your house, but soon enough you were pulling up in the driveway and he was opening the car door for you once again. You walked to your front door with him hovering right behind you, hands lightly brushing over your hips as he moved in step with you.
You unlocked the door, but before you could open it he grabbed your hips and spun you around. You found yourself sandwiched between him and the door, left hand firm on your hip, right hand against the door to the side of your head. The echo of your dance positions made your heart race.
He leaned in close, brushing his lips across your cheek before murmuring in your ear, “you got plans tonight, pretty girl?” You heard yourself gasp, lightly, and reached out to loop your fingers through his belt buckles.
“Met some cowboy at the club. He followed me home, trying to get in my pants.”
Joel laughed, and moved a little closer. His left hand moved from your hip to your neck, thumb in front along your collarbone. “Well, are you going to let him?”
You hummed and pretended to think about it. “I dunno. You think he’s any good?”
Joel met your eyes, sliding his left hand to the back of your neck and squeezing. You inhaled sharply and you knew he could see the effect he had, written all over your face. He leaned in and his lips brushed against yours as he replied, “well, baby, you can be the judge of that, alright? After I make you come on my hand,” he kissed you, “and my mouth,” he kissed you again, “and my cock,” he kissed you one last time.
Your head was spinning at his words and you could feel your arousal pooling in your underwear. You thrust your hips against his right thigh, firm between your legs. He squeezed his hand around the back of your neck again and you gasped as he moved back a little.
“Well then, cowboy. Take me to bed.”
He reached behind you and opened the door, pulling you in by the waist as he deftly maneuvered you around it and into your dark hallway. He pulled the door closed and locked it with one hand behind him, never even moving away from you, before backing you into the wall to your living room.
“I’ll take you to bed, pretty girl, but I think I’ll take you right here first.”
Your back hit the wall but he didn’t stop, moving forward until his front pressed all along yours. He caught your lips with his, moving his hand back to its new spot around the back of your neck in a strong grip. With his other hand he undid your jeans, then used both hands to start to pull them down. You reached down to help, but stopped when you realized Joel’s eyes had caught on your underwear. Particularly the lace.
“This for me, darlin’?” As he asked he slipped his fingers into the slide of your underwear before moving his hands around to the back and reaching inside to grab your ass cheeks, one in each hand. You thrust your hips towards his, brushing lightly against his jeans.
“You see any other cowboys here?”
He grinned. “I think I like the idea of you picking these out, thinking about what I might like.”
“Wait until you see what else I’ve got up there.”
“Oh, I plan to.” He stepped back in to press you against the wall, moving his left hand back to your neck and his right hand around to the front to slip inside your underwear. “Mouth or fingers first, baby? What do you think?”
You let your head fall back and rest against the wall, breathless at his question.
“Come on, baby. Good girls ask for what they want.” As soon as the words left his mouth you whined, surprising yourself, a tiny noise in the back of your throat, barely there at all. But he heard it. “Oh, do you want to be my good girl?” The effect his words had on you was obvious – chest heaving, eyes closed, heat rushing to your face. “That’s good, baby, that’s real good. Now tell me what you want.”
You took a few deep breaths, trying to focus as his fingers moved lower in your underwear. “Your mouth.” You opened your eyes to see him grinning at you, eyes dark.
“That’s my good girl.” He leaned forward, voice low in your ear. “Now, let me hear you moan for me like you did back in the restaurant, got it? I want to hear it, baby. Don’t hold back.” And without another word, he sank to his knees in front of you. You steadied yourself on the wall behind you, unable to tear your eyes away from him as he pulled off your shoes, and then your jeans, and then your underwear. You stepped out of them as he ran his hands back up your legs to your hips. He placed a light kiss on each of your hips, sending sparks straight to your pussy. Your legs started to shake. His right hand moved back down to reach behind your thigh and he lifted it over his shoulder. Any self consciousness you might have felt at opening yourself to him like that was immediately quashed by the hungry look on his face.
“Oh, pretty girl. I can’t believe I waited this long to get a look at this pretty pussy.” He leaned forward and placed a kiss just above your clit. You took a breath that sounded like a sob. “I’m going to treat you right.” He was looking straight at your pussy as he said it.
He leaned in and started with a slow lick, from your hole all the way up to your clit. You felt it like a tremor that ran from your toes to the base of your spine, almost taking you out at the knees.
“Fuck.” Your hands flew to his head, tangling in his hair, but not pushing. He glanced up to meet your eyes before doing it again, this time maintaining eye contact. You felt like you were about to hyperventilate.
“Breathe, baby. Let me make you feel good.”
You whined again, softly, and he grinned. As he moved back to press his lips lightly to your clit, he brought up his right hand to tease his fingers at your entrance. He pressed his tongue down on your clit slowly, softly, before tracing the tip of it towards your hole. He pressed there, hinting at pushing his tongue past your entrance. You tightened your hands in his hair and he smiled, kissing you, right there, and then slowly pushed his tongue inside while his fingers moved up to brush against your clit.
You felt like you were floating, like last week when you danced, and again tonight when you were so in sync on the dance floor. It was like he could read you and knew what you wanted before you knew you wanted it. He thrust his tongue inside, curling it a way that made you gasp, pushing your hips towards his face involuntarily. You moaned, low. He caught you with his left hand on your hip and pushed you back into the wall.
“Good girl. Let me hear it.” He teased you again with the tip of his tongue. "You taste so good, baby. I could stay right here for hours.” You shuddered and he moved his fingers down to circle your entrance again. He pushed one slowly inside you. At the same time, he placed an open mouth kiss directly on your clit, lightly tonguing it as he found the spot inside of you that made you shiver.
He kept it up as you moaned again, mercilessly thrusting his finger inside while lavishing your clit with attention from his lips and tongue.
You felt your orgasm start to build slowly, from the base of your spine. It radiated up your back and tingled over your scalp, overwhelming you entirely as you pushed down with your hands in his hair and thrust into his mouth. His hand and shoulder held you up as your knees shook. “Joel, I–”
“I know, baby. I can feel you squeezing my finger. That’s it, pretty girl, let me see you come.” The wash of fire over you made you arch your back, and you called out his name as it took you. He worked you through it until you gently pushed his mouth away.
You heaved a breath and looked down at him, finding him just as wrecked as you, his entire face wet from being buried in your pussy. You watched as he used your hip to pull himself up, standing over you as he pulled his middle finger from inside you and slipped it into his mouth. His eyes slipped shut and he made a noise like he couldn’t get enough. Your mouth went dry.
Joel opened his eyes and reached for you, pulling you into his chest. “That’s one, baby. Ready for two?” You shuddered but fell forward, into his arms.
“I think I need to lie down first.”
He grinned, and wrapped his arm around your waist, drawing you close to lean on him and walking backwards while holding you up. “Let me take care of that for you.”
“Joel, I can walk!” You laughed as you said it.
“Nonsense, darlin’. Happy to have you in my arms, now that it’s my job to make your legs shake.” He winked at you and tightened his hold around your waist, drawing you into a kiss at the bottom of the stairs. You couldn’t help but notice how good his arms looked, supporting you like that. You tucked your head into one side of his neck and kissed lightly behind his ear and along his hairline. He tilted his head to give you better access, humming. Then he lightly swatted your ass cheek.
“Let’s get upstairs, pretty girl.” He encouraged you to go up in front of him, and you grinned over your shoulder at him, knowing exactly why. He stared directly at your naked ass, unrepentant.
Once you reached your bedroom you started to pull your shirt off, but he suddenly grabbed you by the hips and turned you towards him. He reached around behind you to grab your ass in both hands, pulling you into a searing kiss. Before you knew it he was walking you towards the bed, letting you fall onto it backwards. You bounced slightly and your legs splayed open as he stripped off his shirt, grinning at the sight of you.
“Look at you, pretty girl. Why don’t you take off that top for me.” You did, and watched him remove his boots and jeans, too.
Soon he was crawling on the bed, leaning over you on his left elbow while he slid his right hand up your leg, over your torso and finally to your cheek, where he pressed gently to turn you towards him and into a kiss.
“I dreamed about you like this, you know. For a while now.” As he said it he moved his hand back down, teasing your nipple lightly. “You, spread out on a bed, just for me.”
You kissed his cheek as he turned to look down your body, which squirmed a little under his gaze. “I did too, Joel.”
“What did you dream about, baby?”
You bit your lip to hide a smile. “Everything.”
He hummed, and moved his lips to your ear. He murmured your name. “I thought you wanted to be a good girl for me, hmm? Now, what did you dream about?” As he said it he tweaked your nipple slightly, making you gasp.
“Your mouth,” you breathed it so quietly he nudged you with his nose to spur you on. You cleared your throat. “Your mouth, and your fingers. Can’t keep my eyes off your shoulders, never could, even that first day. Couldn’t stop imagining them moving over me as you fucked me.” Your voice was steady, but Joel took the opportunity to drop kisses down your neck, moving towards your chest. You started talking faster. “Your arms, holding me up as you fucked me against a wall. Your lips… everywhere. Your thick fingers, sneaking inside my underwear. Being full of you. Being good for you. Using my mouth on you, sucking you off. Riding you in the backyard. Sneaking into the bathroom together on a night out. Sneaking over in the middle of the night to wake you up by sucking your cock. Waking up to your mouth…” You sucked in a breath as he lightly took your left nipple between his teeth. Your mind blanked. You couldn’t remember anything more. “Everything, baby.”
He twisted his tongue around your nipple before sucking a kiss into the side of your breast. You sank your fingers into his hair as you arched towards him.
“That’s my good girl, yeah? Where should we start?”
“What?”
He looked up at you. “Pick one, baby. Let’s cross something off your list.”
You smiled at him, a little shy. “What about your list?”
“Well, we have plenty of time. And don’t you worry about that.” He crawled over you, legs on either side of your hips, bulge obvious in his underwear. “You’re my list, baby. Everything you said, and everything else we can do, anywhere we can do it.”
You thought about calling him on the lack of specifics, like he did to you, but you knew you’d rather let him follow through on that promise.
“I want your fingers, Joel. Mouth, fingers, then cock, right?” You looked him straight in the eye as you said it. “How many do you think I can take?” He blinked, and then grinned wickedly.
“A good girl like you? I think you’ll take as many as I want to give you, don’t you?” Before you could respond, he leaned down and captured your mouth with his. This time he skipped past any build up and tangled your tongues together as he pressed down on top of you. Your legs were still trapped between his as he ground his cock, still hidden inside his briefs, against your hip. You ran your nails up his back and into his hair.
He shifted his weight to the side, freeing your left leg, which he grabbed at your thigh to push it to the side, opening your pussy to him again. He traced his fingers lightly from your knee to your hip, still kissing you deeply. Once he reached your pussy he traced through the remnants of your first orgasm.
He pulled back slightly, still close enough that his lips touched yours. “Is this pretty pussy always this wet?” You moaned as he slid one finger between your folds, teasing at your entrance.
“It is for you.”
“Even when you touch yourself, thinking about me?” Your face heated a little, and you turned your head. “Don’t be shy, pretty girl. Nothing gets me going faster than thinking about you – how you look when you’re concentrating, when you’re dancing in your kitchen, when you’re relaxing on the couch in those little shorts you wear around the house.” As he spoke he kissed along your jaw and pressed gently with his finger at your entrance. Almost inside. “I think about your hair on my pillow, your thighs around my head, your mouth on my cock, your pussy on my face, your legs around my waist in my shower, and I can barely keep myself from coming in my pants like a teenager.” He slid his finger inside you, and you moaned again, clutching at his shoulders. “That’s it, baby. Now tell me. Do you get this wet when you touch yourself and think of me?” His voice was stern and his finger curled inside you, making you push your hips towards his hand.
“Yes,” you breathed, turning your lips to his. “I’m always wet for you, Joel.” He took your mouth again, thrusting his tongue as he thrust his finger inside you.
“Good girl.” His voice rumbled, low, deeper than you’d ever heard it. He slipped another finger inside you. “That’s two fingers, baby.” He thrust his fingers in and out of you as he devoured your mouth. He slid his left forearm along the bed until his hand was behind your head and he gripped the back of your neck again. “Let’s try a third, hmm?”
You curved your hips into his hand as he added a third finger, stretching you wide and filling you up. You could feel a buzzing in your ears and a tingle at the back of your neck where he held you in his strong grip.
“That’s so good, baby. Taking my fingers so well. How does it feel?” He squeezed the back of your neck with his left hand as he curled his fingers upwards inside of you. You heard yourself whine before you realized you were doing it.
“Tell me, pretty girl. How does it feel?”
You sucked in a breath, and replied, “it’s so good, Joel.” You clenched around his fingers. “I – I need–”
He sucked a kiss into your neck, and then under your ear. “Tell me.”
“My clit—” you trailed off again as he moved his thumb right where you wanted it. You closed your eyes. He started drawing circles with his thumb as he thrust his fingers into you. You clenched your fists in his hair and in the sheets. You could feel it coming.
“Joel, I’m close,” you arched your back into him as he held your neck down in his hand.
“I can see that, baby. Don’t you want to be good for me? Let go, and let me see you come. I want to see it up close this time, see your pretty face.”
As soon as he told you to, you did. Blood rushed in your ears as you arched your chest off the bed, thrusting your hips toward his hand. The orgasm took you hard – you saw stars, felt it radiating out from your core to the tips of your fingers and toes. You might have called his name, but you couldn’t be sure. When you came down you heard yourself breathing hard and realized Joel was murmuring your name in your ear. “That was beautiful, darlin’, I’ve never seen anything so pretty. I knew you’d come so nice, you had to, so fucking gorgeous. Prettiest fucking pussy I’ve ever seen, and all for me. You were such a good girl for me, honey.”
You caught your breath, and then caught his face between your hands, pulling him into a searing kiss. He smiled at you after. You slid your right hand down, trailing over his chest and into his underwear. You gripped his cock in your hand. “I believe you promised another on this cock, cowboy.” It was his turn to moan and thrust his hips forward as you ran your thumb across the tip.
“You know I’m good for it.” You helped when he reached to push his underwear down, then kicked it somewhere on the floor. You took his cock in your hand again, marveling a little at the girth.
“I knew you were big, Joel, but damn.” He straightened his shoulders a little, looking smug. He caught your eye and winked.
“You knew it, huh?”
“You weren’t the only one looking, baby. I’ve seen you in your swim trunks. And that day your pants slipped down a little, on the ladder? Well, you should have worn a belt, is all I’m saying.” He laughed.
He raised his right hand to trail his fingertips down your face and neck, and traced the shape of your right breast lightly. “Maybe I wanted you to look.” You tightened your grip on his cock and he pinched your nipple in response before moving his hand lower and cupping your pussy.
He pressed his forehead to yours. “Are you ready for me, pretty girl?” he shifted his hand to your thigh, pushing slowly to make you bend your knee up to your chest. You nodded. “Hmm, I want to hear you say it.”
“Fuck me, Joel. I’m not waiting any longer.” He lifted his head and grinned at you. You grinned back. He reached over and grabbed a condom from your nightstand and made quick work of opening it and slipping it on.
“Well I know better than to keep a pretty girl like you waiting.” He shifted his weight, hovering over you. You moved your hands to his hips, but he picked up your right hand with his left and laced his fingers through yours before pinning your hand to the bed above your head. You shifted into it, loving the feeling of being held in place. You traced his shoulders with your eyes, watching as his muscles moved to hold you there. He tucked your left leg around his waist, your right rising immediately to meet it.
Then he reached down to take his cock in hand and tease along your pussy from your clit down to your hole.
“You’re so wet, baby. Ready for me, hmm?”
You curved your hips towards him, catching the tip of his cock between your folds. “Always, Joel.”
He thrust his hips forward in response, notching the tip right at your entrance. “Christ, darlin’, this is already so fucking good.” He was watching, looking at his cock just kissing your pussy. You felt heat rushing through you, watching him look.
“Now, cowboy. Give it to me.” He met your eyes again and did exactly as you said, pushing inside, studying your face. Your mouth fell open as you felt first the head and then the rest, stretching you wider than his fingers. You watched him lick across his bottom lip as he filled you up. He was staring at your open mouth. You were panting, tongue lax, surrendering to the stretch. You watched as he let spit gather on his tongue and then slip out, falling directly from the tip of his tongue into your open mouth. You caught it on your tongue and held it there. Your eyes snapped back to meet each other’s gaze as you moaned, loud. He thrust his hips forward, filling you the rest of the way in one swift motion.
He leaned down and licked inside your mouth, running his tongue along yours as he pulled back and slammed into you again, pushing you up the bed. For a moment you were both in a frenzy, your hips crashing together as you opened your mouths wide, tongues tangling, breaths coming hot and fast.
You twisted your hips, squeezing your legs around him, and he pulled his mouth away from yours. “You are so fucking hot, you know that? I ain’t never seen anything like you, never felt anything like this.” He was breathing heavily as he sped up his thrusts, reaching around your left hip and squeezing your ass cheek in his right hand. Pulling your pussy closer with his grip. “You’re taking me so well, such a fucking good girl for me.” You gasped, tossing your head back. “Feels like this pussy was fucking made for me. Christ.”
You could barely breathe, but you managed, “It was, Joel. All yours. No– nobody else.”
“Fucking right, all mine.” He pulled almost all the way out before slamming his cock back in. He tilted his head down and nipped at your neck where it met your shoulder. “All for me.”
“Yes, baby. Give it to me.”
He growled, speeding up his thrusts. He slipped his right hand from your ass back around your hip, sliding his fingers down to your pussy again. He tapped your clit once, sharply, and you let out a sound you’d never heard yourself make before. It sent a piercing arousal through you that made you tighten your legs around his waist. He grinned, and did it again, before starting to work at your clit in time with the strokes of his hips.
He licked from your collarbone to your ear, whispering, “You ready to give me that third one, baby? I want you to come on my cock.” You whimpered and nodded. “Let me have it then.” He was filling you so perfectly, you could feel your orgasm building again. “Let me see it again. Prettiest sight I’ve ever seen. Show it to me, baby. Please.” He bit down on the hinge of your jaw and you felt it hit you again. You squeezed his cock, tight, clenching your pussy as you came. This time it didn’t stop, the movement of his hips and fingers just kept it going, longer than you’d ever felt before. You fell into it. “Good girl,” he grunted as you felt his hips speed up, losing his steady pace. You felt like your orgasm shifted into a new gear as you clutched at his hair and cried out. He thrust hard into you one last time and your eyes flew open, yanking his face from your neck to watch his face as he came.
You locked eyes as you both tumbled over and came down the other side of the most intense orgasm you’d ever had in your life. You were breathing hard, breath mixing together as you stared at each other.
“Fuck,” you whispered, and one corner of his mouth lifted in a ghost of your favorite half smile. “Holy shit, Joel.”
He brushed his nose slowly along yours and moved his hips forward one more time. You gasped. “I knew it’d be this good,” he murmured. “Had to be. Fucking made for me, I knew it.” You smiled softly and pressed your lips to his cheek and the corner of his mouth. He caught your lips in a gentle kiss. “Such a good girl, all for me.” Despite how you’d spent the last hour with this man, you felt your face heat a little. He kissed your cheek.
You both took a deep breath and he pulled out slowly, catching the condom with his right hand. He moved away to dispose of it and you stretched languidly, twisting your hips. You’d never felt so content, so satisfied.
He came back quickly, cloth in hand to clean you both up before slipping under the covers with you. He pulled you close, tucking your head onto his chest and gripping your waist firmly with his arm down your back. With the other hand he traced designs on the arm you had flung across his chest.
“I’m mighty glad I asked you out tonight, darlin’.”
You smiled into his chest. “I’m mighty glad I said yes, cowboy.” He laughed at your imitation of his accent.
“I don’t sound like that.”
“You sure do.” He reached down and tapped your ass lightly in retaliation.
“Don’t you want to be nice to me, after I was so nice to you?”
You lifted your head to look at him, and he was grinning. You shifted your weight so your left hip rested on top of his, bringing your left hand to support your chin on his chest as you looked at him. “You and I both know you like it when I tease you.” He shook his head, but couldn’t hide his smile.
“Well, you got me. But it just means you fit right in.” You were a little dazzled at the idea of fitting in so well with his family – you knew he meant Sarah and Tommy.
For a moment you just looked at each other. His eyes swept over you, catching on where his now soft cock rested against your hip. You felt your heartbeat begin to slow and enjoyed the feeling of Joel pressed against you everywhere. You let your eyes start to fall shut. He reached over and tapped your chin lightly.
“I know it’s early, darlin’, but I can’t help but imagine sharing a bed with you like this all the time.” He met your eyes, a little hesitant, as he said it.
You tilted your head into his hand and twisted your knee between his, trying to sooth him by getting closer. “It might be early in terms of how long we’ve been doing this, Joel, but we’ve been heading this way for a long time. Since we met.”
He nodded. “I know it. But I still don’t want to rush it – I want to savor every moment that gets us there.” You smiled at the acknowledgement that you were both in this with the same goal, same dream. “And it’s not just about this, you know, even though you blew my fucking mind tonight. I love watching you get to know Sarah too, and seeing how we fit together. Everywhere.”
“Me too, Joel. She’s important to me, and I want this to last.” You looked at him for a moment, and then smirked. “We can take the long way, get lost in it a little bit. Do some exploring.”
He eyed you, and you could see that he was trying not to smile. “Exploring, huh?” He moved his right hand to your lower back and pushed down firmly, moving your hips to meet his as he thrust upwards. You felt his cock stir against your hip. “Well, you just let me know what you have in mind. I’ll be ready.”

I'd be so chill vibing in the car, I'm so food motivated that I would park my ass and wait for snacks. I'd sell my soul for Dr.Pepper lol
That would be ideal, for both of your sanity. He truly believes he’s done enough preparing for this trip (threats) otherwise he wouldn’t have taken darling. So if you choose to listen, out of fear or motivated by getting food that isn’t from the farm, he’s going to be very pleased and much more laid back for the rest of the trip.
The previous tension melts when he gets back in the car “here” he hands you the snack you asked for before buckling his seat belt “got you a few more in the back so you can have them now and then on the farm” he pulls the truck out of the car park and feels comfortable enough to visit some other shops he had in mind while you snack. The drive back is peaceful and he lets you roll down the window and enjoy the landscapes.

What is every skeleton's reaction to a strange human making a kidnapping attempt on him?
Undertale Sans - He's in the back of a random guy's car, chilled as hell, and he keeps talking just to annoy his kidnapper. He's not really kidnapped anyway, he could just teleport out of here anytime he wants. He's having fun. He can tell the guy is not really dangerous, so he takes advantage of that to teach them a lesson about kidnapping the wrong people. Eventually, Sans gets bored and simply disappears.
Undertale Papyrus - Well, he's always happy to make new friends but that gun on his head starts to seriously bother him so out of nowhere, he grabs the gun, opens the car window and throws it outside. Now, isn't it better to talk? Go on, he's a very patient skeleton. Tell him why you have so much anger in your heart, he's sure he can help. Undyne is so confused when later that day, a random man runs to her, crying, and begs her to arrest him for kidnapping a monster.
Underswap Sans - He's playing the dumb little hostage until his kidnappers lead him to his base, then he suddenly attacks, knocks them all down in ten seconds, then peacefully unties himself and calls for backup. That's not the first time it has happened, is it?
Underswap Papyrus - The man screams at him to jump in the truck and to knock it off. Except a loud car passed at the same moment and Honey only understood "Knock me off". So, uh, sure, it's a weird demand but who is he to judge. He takes his grocery back and explodes it against his kidnapper's head. Then Honey realizes he might be in trouble now and just teleports out of here.
Underfell Sans - Oh man, not again... It's the third time this month. Red starts to argue with the kidnappers, asking them why they still haven't moved on from trying to hurt his brother when neither of them is threatened by anything. Damn, he even knows one of them has kids. Don't you have better things to do than harass him constantly? It's not his fault you're all losers!
Underfell Papyrus - He can't believe he got kidnapped by a tiny three-year-old child. He was on his way, in a park, when a random child ran to him and dragged him towards the playground and now he's the prisoner of a bunch of children and if he dares to move they all start crying and their parents giving him death stares??? How did that even happen? He's not ok with this! Someone helps him????
Horrortale Sans - Welp. He kinda kidnapped himself actually. He saw a big truck open, and he smelled food, and he was hungry so... Yeah, he climbed in, the doors closed behind him, and now he's driving he has no idea where wondering if he should tell Willow or if Willow will get mad at him lol. At least he has cookies. Hundreds and hundreds of boxes of cookies. It's not that bad.
Horrortale Papyrus - So a grandma in the retirement house he's working in said she would kidnap him to make sure he keeps cooking only for her and he kinda thought it was a joke until she locked the door of her room once he entered and literally swallowed the key in front of his own very eye sockets while wiggling her eyebrows at him. Nobody told him this could happen???? He has no idea what he's even supposed to do now. He's kidnapped he guesses???
Swapfell Sans - He pets another cat on the way home and now Edge's cat, Doomfanger, is really mad he's cheating on her and kinda refuses to let him get out of the house. Nox tries to argue that it's quite hypocritical since she's cheating on Edge with him, but the cat refuses to listen and keeps biting his ankles very aggressively. He's a prisoner of his own house! That's crazy! Nox decides he has enough and bravely comes outside to face the demon, only to have Doomfanger beating him up like never before, and run back home with the tail between the legs to save his life. Nox is not sure how he's going to explain why he couldn't come to the Queen's meeting lol.
Swapfell Papyrus - He got kidnapped by two guys who can't work together. So Rus told one he heard the other said he would keep the money of his ransom for himself and just watched as the two guys argued together, then fought like wild animals. While they're rolling on the floor trying to kill each other, Rus simply gets up and leaves the building lol.
Fellswap Gold Sans - Why do people never learn? Instead of getting kidnapped, Wine kidnapped his kidnapper who is now crying like a baby in his living room and begging him to let him go. Why are you trying to hurt him when you piss your pants at the first contrariety? Are you stupid? Did you even read the mission paper telling how dangerous he is? Wine can't believe it. Kidnappers are so stupid these days. At least Underground they still had some reputation! Pathetic.
Fellswap Gold Papyrus - As soon as the man asks him to come, Coffee turns around and runs away screaming at the top of his lungs, chased by his kidnapper lol. He got kidnapped too many times, he knows that being loud helps so he's going to be the loudest. Eventually, people come to his rescue. While they're fighting with his kidnapper, Coffee runs for his life, giving up on all of them to get home. He knows it's bad but man, having to talk to so many people is far worse than being kidnapped and he really doesn't want to do it.

Fem! Teacher Reader x Teacher! Eddie
Tumblr media
Previous Masterlist Next
AN: Hi friends! Apologies for making y’all wait so long. I have been juggling a lot and have been slightly stressed. I am going to try to get back on schedule but… ya know! Anyways I hope you guys like this chapter, it’s SUPER fluffy. And remember: please like and reblog if you enjoyed it!
WARNINGS AND CONTENT: Minors DNI!!!, Noncanon, Hawkins AU, Normal Hawkins, Rumors about Eddie, Eventual Smut, Very fluffy, Outcasts and Bullying, Mentions of Loneliness, Mentions of anxiety, Flirting, drinking, violence/fighting, drug usage, mentions of death, Fem!Reader, use of nickname Tish in place of Y/N, older! Eddie, short-haired Eddie, 1995/1996 Hawkins, F! Reader has a dark past, F! Reader is a former goth lol, angst.
Summary: Eddie shows up to take you out to stargaze. He is suspicious of the past you hide so fervently, and you can’t help your anxieties.
You show up to meet Eddie in the parking lot, nervously fiddling with your jeans. You opted to dress comfortably, wearing jeans and a shirt. You’re starting to regret the decision due to the wind chill in the Indiana night air, but try to hug yourself to keep warm. You hear a rumbling of an engine, a worn-out black truck pulling up. You can hear some heavy drums and guitar from the stereo in the car and can’t help but feel your lips tug with a smile. Your heart flutters in your chest as your brain races, wondering if you wore the right jeans or if you look okay.
Eddie parked and opened the car door, climbing out. He stands there in his worn-out jeans and a long sleeve shirt, a leather jacket thrown over it. He walks over to you, signature dimples popping from his toothy grin. Your mind melts into a puddle of Eddie, Eddie, Eddie. You feel your stomach do backflips, and your heart skips a beat.
“Ready to go, Tish?” He calls to you, twirling his keys on his finger.
You nod, biting your lip with a slight smile. “Let’s go, Munson.”
He grins, grabbing your hand in his large, calloused palms, making you feel like sticky sweet syrup is sloshing in your stomach, giving you a sugar high and fluttering. You both walk around to the car, Eddie doing a little jog to open your car door and bowing. You giggle, climbing in the truck.
Eddie jogs back to his side of the car, hopping into the truck again and starting the engine. You drive for a few minutes, the vehicle playing some thrash metal at a lower volume than you suspected Eddie usually listened to. Finally, Eddie parks. You look around, trying to figure out where you are. But from the tinted windows, all you can see is a field and maybe a body of water surrounded by numerous trees.
Eddie opens the door, gently grabbing your hand to guide you out. You look up and around yourself. The sky is full of stars, and a few fireflies are in the air, illuminating the otherwise dark field. You’re distracted by the scenery, the calming chirps of crickets, and the low hum of cicadas still left from summer slowly creeping away. Living in a city didn’t grant you the pleasure of this serenity, so your heart thrums with delight at this calmness and scenery. You turn around to thank Eddie for this experience, only to realize that the sounds you had heard earlier behind you were Eddie prepping the bed of his truck. The tailgate is lowered, and blankets line the bed of the worn-out truck along with pillows. There’s a large bottle of white wine with red solo cups and a few bags of junk food. Eddie stands by you, looking sheepish. You feel your heart almost squeeze, and your stomach flutters again.
“I know it’s not much, but I thought it might be nice to have some drinks and snacks-”
“It’s perfect,” you interrupt, grinning from ear to ear.
Eddie grins back, his dimples coming back out, as he holds out a hand to offer you help into the truck. You accept the help, climbing into the bed of the truck. You lay back against the mountain of pillows and blankets; the bed is plush with all the cozy fabric. Eddie climbs in after you, grabbing the wine and opening it with a pocket knife. He pours some into a red cup for himself and pours you your own cup. You happily accept, thanking him.
“I’m normally more of a beer guy, but I noticed you didn’t drink any at the bar. I figured you didn’t like it.”
You feel warmth travel up and down your body and a tingle along your skin. He remembered. In the short time you had known Eddie, you had come to see that he was observational. More so than anyone you knew. He remembered your favorite candy, color, creamer you gravitated toward most in the teacher’s lounge, and so much more. You don’t know what to say; the sheer appreciation and tug at your emotions from such a simple gesture render you practically speechless.
“I don’t. It’s not my favorite. Tastes too…bready? I guess? I’ve tried to like it, but it just never stuck.”
He nods, contemplating, before taking a sip of the wine and cringing a bit at the taste, his face twisted in disgust. You feel a smile tug at the corners of your lips at the way his nose crinkles and his brow furrows.
“Ugh. It’s so sweet!”
You laugh a bit, shaking your head and taking a sip. You feel the familiar warmth travel and seep into you, the sharp notes and sweetness dancing along your tongue.
“C’mon, Munson. You’re not metal enough for a little wine?” You tease, softly poking his bicep, flushing when you feel the muscles beneath his leather jacket.
He raises a brow at you, challenging you, fighting a mischievous grin. “Oh, you’re gonna regret that later, Tish.”
You feel the warmth spread out from your chest, blaming both the alcohol and Eddie’s flirtatious tone. You lay back down, looking up at the sky, the countless stars winking in the dark velvet blanket winking at you.
“It’s so calm here. I could never see this many stars back home. Too many lights. Pollution. Plus, I had nowhere to lay down and look at the sky,” You joke, looking over to Eddie, who’s setting down his drink to lie next to you. He stares at the stars, the twinkling lights shiny in his warm brown eyes. He speaks, still staring at the stars as you turn your body to face him.
“I used to hate living here, ya know. When I finally graduated, I swore I’d leave for good. I went to my University out in the city. And god… I missed this. I missed the shitty diner, the local businesses, and how I could smell the grass. I missed the dinky pumpkin farm my Uncle Wayne took me to visit as a kid to make shitty Jack-O-Lanterns out of because Halloween was the only holiday I really cared about. I missed Wayne the most. He’s a gruff old bastard and doesn’t talk much about his feelings. But when I was out at college, I called him every week. I visited at least once a month. When I came back, I stayed in my old room while I worked at the school. It took me over a year to pay for enough to get me a nice house. Wayne was too proud to move in with me, so I paid for rent at a nice apartment for a year so he could focus on taking care of himself. I still visit the old Curmudgeon. And as much as I hate to admit it, I think despite all the bad I felt about Hawkins, it doesn’t outweigh the good.”
You smile softly at the revelation. You hadn’t met Wayne, but Eddie constantly sang his praises. But he did it in his own way. He would call him ‘bastard’ or ‘old man,’ always poking at his gruff and silent nature. But within those words was always love. You knew Eddie deeply cared for Wayne. He often complained about staying late to eat dinner with Wayne, who worked unusual hours. But you also always noticed his soft and shiny demeanor on those days when his dimples would linger a little longer.
“I sometimes miss all the hustle and bustle in the city, the coffee shop below my old apartment. My local restaurants were run by hard-working families. All the lights and life around me 24/7. But I don’t know if I would trade any of that for this,” You roll back over to gesture to the sky, the constellations winking at you. You feel your heart squeeze again.
“Is therenothing you would want in Hawkins? Nothing you are absolutely burning for in the city? No one?” Eddie turns on his side to look at you, his voice cautious, quieter, and calm than usual.
You bite your lip, thinking to yourself, turning back on your side to face him. You come face to face with his warm dark eyes, his short curls almost falling in his eyes. You fight the itch to fix his hair. His eyes bore into you. “Maybe the bookstore. That’s all I can think of. Or the library.” You feel bad memories creep up, your eyes prickling a bit. You break eye contact with Eddie, looking away. “On second thought… I don’t even know if I would want those anymore.” You roll back onto your back, staring at the stars but not looking at them. Your heart clenches.
Why can’t you be normal?
Eddie sits up slightly, looking down into your eyes. “Where do you go when you do that?”
You feel your heart pace a bit, a slight tremor in your voice. You try to hold your calm and ignore the prickling feeling of panic. “What do you mean?”
He cocks his head at you, looking down at you. His expression reads don’t bullshit me, as he gingerly reaches out to touch your face but stops himself. “You get this far-off look and a small wrinkle on your forehead. It’s like… it’s like you’re lost in your own thoughts.”
You paste on a smile as best you can, trying to hide the terror at someone noticing the cracks in your facade. “Sometimes I overthink. Overthinker. That’s all.” You sit up and grab your wine, taking a small sip and avoiding Eddie’s gaze. His face is practically stony and hard to read. He nods, seeming to think your answer is good enough. He reaches over, grabs a bag of chips, and opens it before offering you some. You take a few and chew on them quietly, trying to shake off the heavier atmosphere.
Eddie looks at you with eyes that tighten your chest, and your thighs press together. You try to will away all the thoughts. You know you like Eddie. But that’s also why pursuing anything serious is a terrible idea.
You’re not ready. You’re a mess. Don’t put that on him.
You swallow down the fear, looking at him as he continuously stares at you.
“Tish… Why did you really come to Hawkins?”
You feel your stomach sink to the floor, your hands slightly trembling. You try to grip a blanket, your hands are clammy, and your brain swirling with thoughts. Eddie reaches out cautiously, not holding your hand but rubbing his thumb across the back of your hand. You hug a spare pillow, staring out at the nearby lake.
“I’ll spare you the details. Just… I had a bad situation back there. Something got out of hand, and I had to leave. I wanted to do more than substitute teaching. I sort of just picked a spot on a map and went looking around for postings for teachers. I’d gotten no’s from most places I went, most wanting someone with more experience. But here, I didn’t get that. So I stayed.”
You bite your lip, looking toward him. You still feel his thumb rub back and forth across your hand, the motion igniting a flame in your gut. He stares at you, his expression much softer than before, and he grabs the hand he’s been rubbing gently, squeezing it.
“Well, if you ever feel ready to tell me the details, I’ll be here.”
You nod, smiling softly, fighting off the tears threatening to spill at the kindness he’s showing you. “Thanks.”
He smiles softly, nodding and letting go of your hand.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You spend the rest of the night talking and laughing, the warmth traveling down your throats to your feet. You clearly drink more than Eddie since he has to drive the truck back. When it finally reaches midnight, and you’ve both remotely sobered up, Eddie offers to take you home. You take up the offer, opting to ride with him to school the following day. Both sit in the car, hands itching to touch, eyes stealing looks occasionally.
When you finally reach your apartment, Eddie looks over at you, brown eyes twinkling like the stars you had both stared at earlier.
“I had fun tonight, Tish.”
You nod, feeling a smile creep on your face and that familiar sticky sweet warmth traveling your body. “Me too, Eddie.”
He looks pained, like he wants to say something but doesn’t. He looks into your eyes intensely again, and you resist the urge to look away. He looks away, grumbling to himself where you can’t hear. When he looks back, it’s a flash, and then you sit staring at him. He pressed his slightly chapped but plush lips to your cheeks for a split second. If you blinked, you would’ve missed it. You feel a tingle spread from the spot he touched out, the warmth beneath your skin spreading further. You touch the area gingerly, scared to disrupt the sensations zipping through your body, your mind on cloud nine.
He smiles softly, his dimples prominent. His eyes sparkle as if he’s won a prize.
“Goodnight, Tish.”
You nod, still in shock, and walking on air. You open the truck door, in a trance heading for the apartment, your mind stuck on Eddie, Eddie, Eddie.
You don’t even recall opening the door and coming inside the apartment. You sit on the couch, letting the emotions hit you like a tidal wave, your heart racing as an infectious grin creeps onto your face. You feel like a schoolgirl, giggling and burying your face in a pillow, your heart bouncing against your ribcage. You relish in the cotton candy dreams and the replay of your thoughts of Eddie’s lips against your cheek, the way you felt the air escape your lungs. You don’t let the troublesome thoughts drown you out.
Maybe this time… Perhaps it’s different.
good morning :))) update if you care
i’ve been getting ROCKED with bad weather and snow over the last almost 2 weeks so i’ve barely been able to leave the house lol. i think that’s what’s causing a lot of this writers block, being in the same place all day everyday has me a bit stir crazy.
the wind chill had us in the -30°’s for literally a week. people were freaking out so all the grocery stores were crazy and it was impossible to get food. plus as i went to get our groceries, THE CAR GOT STUCK IN THE PARKING LOT??? so i was trying to reverse back out while i had help pushing the car and took my ass right back home - hungry and pissed off 😭 i had to have my dad take me to the store the next morning with his truck cause my car was completely snowed in. also since my place is really old, we have terrible drafts so i’ve had to keep blankets and towels on all the windows and doors to try and keep some of the heat in. the city said we all needed to lower our consumption or else we’d have outages but thank god we all did our part and were fine. now it’s a normal 10°(f) day out lol
but update on the job situation: i did end up quitting! i realized there is nothing more important in my life than making the best decisions for myself :) i’m back at my old place now and although i feel sad about how things went, i already feel a lot better!
i’ll have a lot more time and energy to write now! so i just need this writers block to FUCK ALL THE WAY OFF!!!! but i do have a draft that’s basically complete and another that’s getting close so ill do what i can please be patient with me <33
love you guys thank you so much for all the support on my posts and sending me all of your asks!! i hope to have a lot of fun with you guys this year <333
What are all the Eddie’s doing today?🤭
rockstar!eddie is always on the east coast, so he's with his girls living his best at the hamptons. they do a firework show on the water and they sit on the dock and watch. it's very domestic and very unlike eddie but it is his favorite thing.
mafia!eddie is at his house with the dogs, clear of any fireworks from atleast a twenty mile radius lol. he had the chefs cook some traditional fancy american dishes bc while this is by far his least favorite holiday, he likes to still do something if only for you lol. then you're wanting to pull the fall stuff out tomorrow despite the ninety degree weather and you know what? he does it for you lol.
cowboy!eddie is taking you to the red white and booze fest the next county over. live music, alcohol vendors, food vendors, and a huge positively american firework show when the lights go down. you sit in the back of his truck and watch them, and he tries to feel you up lol.
modern!eddie bought pop its and is terrorizing the neighborhood by slinging them on the ground as hard as he can. when he was little wayne would only buy him one pack, but now that he has big boy money? he buys like thirty lol. keeps him entertained for hours and he quotes "wake up cocksuckers it's time to salute the flag" every twenty seconds.
older!eddie is so excited bc your parents are very patriotic and always have a big backyard bbq. wayne and his gf get to come, madeline is home, brielle is home, and he gets to spend time with all of them. wayne and your dad get along so well, sipping beers by the grill and talking. they still have the playset up (renovated for their precious grandbaby ofc) from when you and madeline were kids, so he's pushing lilah on the swing until she's tired. the fireworks start and delilah is with you, so he sits on the porch steps next to brielle. when she was little, they always used to watch them at the trailer park and she loved them so it makes him really emo a little lol.
bouncer!eddie is at the bar. they get holiday pay and ellen grills out for the staff for working. you're wearing a cute little harley davidson tanktop with a skeleton holding a flag on a bike and it makes him so fucking hard for no good reason lol. there's no one there really, except a few regulars, and you all go on the roof and watch the fireworks from the park, sharing a few beers and just vibing.
janitor!eddie is at the park helping wayne grill out. wayne, many years ago, took it upon himself to grill out for all the residents of the forrest hill park (esp the single moms lol). they'd play country patriotic music loud, and the kids ran through sprinklers in the day and with sparklers at night. wayne made hotdog and hamburgers and everyone else brought sides, sort of like a giant park picnic until the fireworks later. you and oliver and olivia came this year ofc, and oliver is so excited to see his grandpa and the fireworks. olivia goes back to the trailer with you to try and keep them from waking her up with the tv on full volume lol, so oliver sits in eddie's lap in the lawn chair watching the fireworks and eating a smore.
I’m 24 and I just finished moving into my new apartment and I honestly with I had a big strong pro hero to help me with it because I am physically exhausted😫
Moving sucks! Well I mean... the process of moving sucks lol I know how you feel, the last time I moved I ended up hibernating skskdjsk
Honestly this makes me think of Lemillion, and specifically pro hero!Mirio that we're still "talking to" :')) he seems so very nice but we're still sussing him out bc it's all new and fresh and these things take some time? Of course when he jumps to help you with your move though, he's definitely earning some points towards maybe taking things up a step!
With his big beefy biceps and beautiful blues, that wide smile of his and he's so eager to help you!
He'd be the type that sorts all your boxes into piles for him to bring up, and stuff for you. His side has all your boxes of books and kitchen appliances and stuff, while yours has stuff like towels and linens and bedding. You take up the couch cushions, he takes the couch. That kind of thing.
And even though he is obviously trying to take as much of the heavy lifting as possible, you still get tired, you know?? Up and down the stairs all day, and the early summer sun is no joke. So Mirio sees you start to puff and insists you take a break.
He tosses you a water bottle and has you sit down on the couch, which is still kinda haphazardly placed into your new living room. He says he'll grab the next few trips, so you get you watch him, his flexing arms, all veiny from his hero work, all his training. There's sweat beading on his forehead, shining on his neck and shoulders, he's wearing one of those deep blue stretchy tanks and those mid-thigh cargo shorts that give you a nice view of his thighs (huge of course, bitable)
When the truck is finally unloaded, you're stuck looking at this mountain of boxes and you can feel the organizational dread sinking in, but Mirio just takes your hand, smiles and asks if you want grab dinner for a little while instead. "No need to jump right in, it can wait!"
He takes through your favorite drive thru, even though he's got his sunglasses and cap on you can tell the giggly cashier still recognizes him, but he doesn't even comment, turning back to you as you wait for them to bring the food out. He finds an empty street to park on, and you're both just eating and talking and enjoying the breeze. Cracking jokes about the hero gossip he's privy too, like who's flirting with suneater these days, and how much trouble Deku's fangirls cause. Just easy, silly chatting that shows you just how comfortable it is to be around him.
After he finally drops you off to your apartment, it's starting to dip past dusk, and you thank him for all his help making today easier, bracing yourself for the disaster that's awaiting you. But Mirio catches the door before it can close, and you try not to take note of the size of his bicep (seriously, it's right in front of your face—not an easy task). And he's just smiling at you, but this time there's a little more there, something a little warmer, a little more intense, and your heartrate starts to pick up.
"Naw, c'mon I can't leave you with all this. We started this together, we'll finish it together. Even if it takes all night."
