Modern au where Sanji and Luffy fall in love while Sanji is engaged. Similar to the events of WCI, Sanji is in a forced business marriage. A merger of Germa Tech. and LinLin Industries. Sanji has no feelings of hatred, he accepts since that is what he’s supposed to do, and who knows, maybe he will fall in love with whomever he’s engaged to. At least then, he’ll be able to leave his family. He signs up at a gym after snide remarks from his family about his weight and meets Luffy as he struggles with one of the machines. Luffy is pure sunshine, and Sanji envies that; he seems so free. Luffy is a personal trainer part-time and a semi-pro boxer. As they spend more time together, Sanji starts to realize that he’s falling more and more in love with Luffy (for added drama, he maybe doesn’t tell Luffy that he’s engaged). Luffy falls first; he tells Sanji as such after Sanji cooks for him for the first time (maybe as a thank you, but also as an excuse to spend more time together). Sanji is hesitant, though he feels the same way, but Luffy doesn’t give up. Somehow, Sanji’s family realizes what’s happening, and they find Luffy. They threaten him and attempt to silence him, Luffy fights back and wins (obviously). He goes to talk to Sanji, and Sanji finally tells Luffy everything. Luffy gets upset, not at Sanji, but at his family and wishes he beat up the goons they sent even harder. Luffy and Sanji meet up with the smartest person Luffy knows (Nami), and together, they come up with a solution. Something something, Sanji finally confronts his family and gets together with Luffy.

help this post has infected my brain i can't stop thinking about some journalist ex-colleague of trent's just watching the entirety of richmond's football team + several members of the staff (including ted lasso) scoop him up and sprint across the pitch holding him aloft. this has so much comedic potential. im just picturing so many different like. tableaus. jan maas giving an absolutely stoic trent crimm a piggyback ride. exact same position but it's jamie tartt and trent crimm appears to be pointing directly ahead as tartt cackles and charges. they topple over. dani rojas has elected to carry him bridal style for some reason. sam obinsanya, who was supposed to be one of the reasonable ones, follows his example. one of the players has trent fully sitting on his shoulders somehow and somehow they don't fall. both the participating coaches (ted and beard) simply throw him over their shoulder and book it. for one of them he appears to be laughing loudly for the other his arms are crossed and he is making such a pointed expression of grumpy tolerance (like a cat who has been picked up and is resigned to it but he's not gonna like it!) that it is clearly exaggerated. trent makes exactly one (1) attempt to carry someone else (it's roy) and he actually does fairly well considering but they do end up sprawled on the grass and just. roy flat on his back staring at the sky, trent having half pushed himself up on his elbows, hair a complete mess, laughing. they're all arguing about times. there are fans sitting in on practice who can Just See All This. like. you know how there's like bullshit nothing articles about dumb shit? just. some "article" that's like "richmond appear to be doing wife-carrying races as training for some reason, and even more bafflingly, trent crimm appears to be the wife in question. anyway here's our top twenty photos of this because it is funny and weirdly wholesome." and then it's all over twitter for like three days. trent's ex-wife is texting him like "babe why are you a meme now". keeleys like "good news this is great pr! bad news [sends trent a candid shot of ted scooping him up unexpectedly and trent very obviously blushing]" and trents like "ah." some of the photos are hilariously blurred in motion. they're pretty much all smiling. forget about the realistic "but would they get criticism for not taking practice seriously" shhhh. everyone is enjoying this. it's about the wholesome nature of the whole team playing around and genuinely having fun together and also trent is too. formerly feared respected scary journalist cackling like a little kid while balanced precariously on the shoulders of a premiere league footballer. it's cute. it's also extremely funny. how did anyone find this dork scary

Carole teaches a lot of things to Maverick, things that he's sure he's never going to use because he will live on a base, or on a boat, forever. He can't live on a plane because sadly that would solve half of every problem. But she insists and Peter can't tell her no, doesn't matter how much he tries. She teaches him how to make a roast, how to iron clothes, how to take away some strains and how others are a lost cause. A Sunday morning he teaches him how to shave someone else's face and here Mav is in the depth because why should he ever learn something like that? But he does, without shaving Goose because that's is a them thing, and learns how to shave in the most perfect of the ways because he's fucking Pete Maverick Mitchell and he is the best. He learns and puts away all this little domestic knowledge that will forever taste of Carole's pudding and smells like Goose's aftershave.

Then Iceman changes his plans completely and he finds himself using every little trick Carole taught him in the years: small thing but they make a Naval house their home. Shaving comes a bit as surprise but it's out of necessity and Maverick takes the first step: Ice's wrist is in a cast for two weeks and he has to make his one week beard go away because Monday and lessons and protocol. Maverick protest very loudly when his boyfriend announces so over breakfast and that he's going to get shaved in a little barber shop he saw the last time he was in town. No need babe, I can do it myself Mav announces and even if Ice is perplex he lets him do the work.

The works ends up being not half bad, shut that trap I did a perfect job, and he starts to get why Carole didn't let him shave Goose. It's strangley intimate for something so common to do, but being between Ice's legs, a razor in his hands and Ice completely focused on him and him alone? Wow.

We should do this again, Ice whispers before kissing him, once he's sure everything in Mav's hand is back in it's place, and his skin smells so good and it's so smooth under Mav's palms he could spend entire days just kissing this man and nothing could be wrong. Yeah, yeah we definitely should he answers before kissing Tom back again and again.
