A youtuber (Negative Legend) once said that you can judge a fandom size based on the amount AO3 fics. To test that theory, I looked at vocaloid series and related subject matter: these are the findings. I can safely say it can be debunked.
(this was also really fun to do)
Also: Ghost has so many series/popular characters that I just put them on the list instead of Communications or Qualia Automata or whatever else
And for software: Miku is vocaloid, Defoko is utau, Teto is synthv, Maki is voiceroid, and Fuka is cevio
I'm also sorry if I forgot any Vocaseries, I am not a walking encyclopedia (though my friends like to joke that I am with all the obscure things I know and obsess over)

auron looks like he killed his best friend by bashing him into a wall then revived said best friend and proceeded to blow up his workplace only to survive. then after he ran away from the scene he basically gets adopted by a gay couple and on a walk or smth finds the best friend that he killed and then something i forgot the rest of the stellar paradigm

This is a preview for my soon-upcoming Stellar Paradigm x Persona 3 fanfic. This is also my first upload on Tumblr. [...]
He’d fallen in love with a girl he was in the orphanage with. He found her as the apple of his eye, for Cupid had struck his heart with his twenty-four-carat deluxe golden arrow. Madly in love, Akihiko ranted his tales of his lovestruck dreams to his best friend Shinjiro, which was a bad idea, since Shinjiro was a boy that did not understand the concept of love.
So the day came. After the ladies, the guardians of the orphanage finished their lectures about daily lives and helpful tips, he went outside, where the lovely girl was waiting for him. Akihiko finally confessed his ‘undying love’ and ‘ultimate devotion’ to the girl. He stared deeply, piercing into her soul with desperation and acceptance. Oh, if only Akihiko knew the truth about the girl!
“Akihiko, I know you’re a nice guy and a handsome-looking boy,” she attempted to smile as Akihiko could visualize flowers growing from her mouth, “but sorry.”

Okay so based on the ask about Bill's memories: how well would he remember the Pines in the future? And that's also how well in how ACCURATELY would he remember them?
I would guess he'd end up lumping Stan and Dipper into the same person as Ford most of the time. Dunno how well he'd remember Mabel, I assume almost as well as Ford, especially post story?
Now saying too much would tread into spoiler land; but I feel like it isn't much of a spoiler to say that this wouldn't be much of a redemption fic if, by the end of the story, he hasn't experienced a massive paradigm shift and had his "and the Grinch's heart grew three sizes that day" character arc. Considering that we're digging back to unravel behaviors and beliefs and thought patterns he's had for the entirety of his trillion-year life, it's not an exaggeration to say that this story will be the biggest & most significant thing that's happened to him since he left his dimension.
Heck, it's already the biggest thing that's ever happened to him: this is the first and only time he's ever successfully invaded a dimension, attempted to conquer it, died, completely severed contact with the last survivors from his dimension he knows, and been forced into an alien body with all his power stripped away from him. And all this is before he's even been bullied through his Grinch arc.
And BIG things, LIFE-CHANGING things, are the things he remembers the best and longest. He can still remember the name of some jackass theoretical astrophysicist that wrote an article calling his public lectures stupid a trillion years ago (and he's still pissed about it). He's forgotten hundreds of thousands of lovers ever existed but he still remembers the one he was with and the room he was in when he first subconsciously realized that he's fundamentally too awful a person to ever be a good partner and he'll eventually self-destruct any relationship he's in. The things that shape him stick with him.
So the people he's meeting now and the things he's doing now will stick with him a LOT longer than, like, the 6,843,135th stellar kegger he went to a billion years ago.
Beyond that, I can't give specifics without giving away where the plot and his relationships with the Pines are gonna go.
I can only guarantee one thing:
He's forgetting Dipper's name within five years.
(This is 50% a joke.)

Turbolent Plasma - The Source of the Universe's Magnetic Fields?
I promised days ago, now here I am.

The origin & evolution of cosmic magnetism is one of the most profound mysteries in astrophysics & cosmology.
Physicists at MIT have developed a new paradigm for understanding the origins of magnetic fields by studying how the microphysics of collisionless plasmas affect macroscopic astrophysical processes.
The plasmas between stars & galaxies are low density, which means that the particles in cosmological plasmas never collide, a key property that was included in the model the researchers developed.
By including detailed small-scale effects of plasma dynamics on macroscopic astrophysical processes, the model demonstrates that magnetic fields can be spontaneously created from flows in collisionless plasma.
What is plasma?
It is one of the four fundamental states of matter, along with solid, liquid & gas.
It is an ionized gas consisting of positive ions & free electrons.
It was first described by chemist Irving Langmuir in the 1920s.
Side note: The solar wind was the first astrophysical plasma in which direct measurements of turbulence were made.
Most of the visible universe is in a plasma state & usually the flows in these plasmas are turbulent.
So what does 'turbolence' mean?
From a fundamental point of view, turbulence is a paradigmatic example of nonlinear dynamics in open systems with many degrees of freedom.
It's basically what one would describe as chaos. Which is an okayish description. The image is important.
The system typically establishes a quasistationary self-organized state far from thermodynamic equilibrium. For this to happen, a permanent input, redistribution & output of energy is required. Basically, to have a stable system, you have to have a constant energy flow.
Various fundamental aspects of turbolence still belong to the most important unsolved problems of classical physics.
Alright, now that we've got THAT covered, let's dive into the study, shall we?
Why is all THIS important anyway?
Observation have shown that there are massive magnetic fields in our galaxy & in the intracluster medium (ICM) of galaxy clusters, but the why & how is still unclear.
It is widely believed that such dynamically important magnetic fields first arose as weak "seed" fields generated by cosmic batteries, subsequently amplified to currently observed levels by the turbulent dynamo of the plasma: a fundamental plasma process that converts the mechanical energy of plasma motions into magnetic energy through electromagnetic induction.
The origin of planetary, stellar & cosmic magnetic fields, the physics of accretion disks, the acceleration & propagation of high-energy cosmic rays, as well as many other space & astrophysical processes could be these turbulent plasmas!
There are two broad perspectives on the origin of cosmic seed magnetic fields:
The primordial origin (early universe)
The galactic origin
In the primordial origin seed fields are generated before recombination or the era of structure formation.
The earliest seed fields can be generated by exotic early-Universe mechanisms during inflation & cosmological phase transitions. At later times during the radiation-dominated era, seed fields can be produced e.g. through plasma fluctuations. These mechanisms potentially explain the pervasiveness of magnetic fields, but with predicted amplitudes that are typically weak (∼10−20 G).
Scenarios based on a galactic origin postulate that seed fields are generated through gravitational collapse or collision-related events occurring during structure formation & stellar evolution in the early Universe
(I won't go into the details of HOW because then I'd go completely through the roof & loose you all, but there are MANY ways for the birth of these seed fields).
These seed fields generated locally within stars or galaxies, are typically much stronger than the primordial seed fields & can potentially be transported into & diluted throughout the intergalactic medium (IGM) or early intercluster medium (ICM) by powerful galactic winds or jets.
Once formed, seed magnetic fields are thought to be amplified & sustained by the turbulent plasma dynamo after reionization, when the baryonic material in the universe becomes electrically conducting.
The possibility that turbolent plasma could also be the origin & not just the thriving force of these magnetic fields had not yet been explored yet.
In conclusio: they did simulations & they showed that, in addition to generating new magnetic fields, the turbulence of plasmas can also amplify magnetic fields once they’ve been generated.
This helps explain how magnetic fields that originate on small scales can sometimes eventually reach to stretch across vast distances.
Further research remains to be done.

A MILLISECOND ROTATION PERIOD IS A RED FLAG
Recently, a paper I wrote about an accreting neutron star got accepted for publication in a scientific journal, and in the process of working on it, I was forced to think about something: how exactly should I interpret accreting neutron stars in the context of the galaxy of Antiocheka? (the fictional galaxy most of my astronomy cartoons/stories with the living celestial bodies are set in)
Black hole accretion is them eating the material; that is obvious. But when neutron stars accrete, they don't absorb the gas inside their bodies. It strikes and spreads across their surface. So an eating metaphor doesn't really work for them. I've seen some people compare accreting neutron stars to vampires, given they are "undead" stars and are sucking the plasma off of other stars. But since they don't absorb the star's "blood" they're not really like vampires. They're honestly more like the legend of Elizabeth Bathory, who bathed in the blood of her victims in order to look more youthful. Accretion increases the neutron stars' spin rates (which normally slow down due to their magnetic fields) and temperatures (which normally decrease due to cooling). The accretion therefore makes them seem more "youthful" in a way.
I have previously stated that the black holes of Antiocheka need to constantly accrete matter to remain conscious, which puts them in conflict with the stars, who are nuclear fusion powered. I don't imagine the neutron stars have it quite so dire. But Antiochekan star society uses an energy currency, and so as a neutron star loses its magnetic field, temperature, and rotation, they start running out of ways to generate energy and maintain their status in stellar society. In that case, maybe it's not surprising some would turn to more brutal methods of generating energy...stripping material from other stars...
More science & character notes below the break:
-X-ray binaries are binary star systems where a black hole or neutron star is accreting matter from a star. They emit tons of X-rays, hence the name.
-The pulsar Chandra here is specifically a millisecond pulsar. Millisecond pulsars are thought to be formed when a pulsar accretes material from another star, spinning itself up so it has a millisecond-long rotational period. Some pulsars, in the process of accreting material from their companion star en route to millisecond status, end up destroying the companion star with the power of their winds and jets. These are called "black widow" pulsars for obvious reasons. I imagine Chandra was one of these in the distant past out of desperation, though she doesn't remember much of the incident.
-A millisecond rotation period is therefore a "red flag" for star dating because it implies the neutron star might have once been a black widow pulsar.
-I draw Astro (a T-Tauri star) as a five-point star because he is the star equivalent of a child, so he looks like a child's conception of a star. His "headband" is really glowing red plasma he ties into his corona with his magnetic fields.
-Astro has a crush on Chandra (the neutron star/pulsar) but Chandra does not have any affection for him, so she acts weird on purpose to drive him away. The pink letters in her shouting speech bubble represent X-ray speech. I imagine that sounds very intimidating to Astro, because stars normally speak in UV-optical-infrared light.
-The stellar black hole eating the rocket in the first two panels is Schwarzschild. Chandra and him have mutual affection for each other, so Astro is kind of jealous, especially since he still is influenced by the whole "black holes are instinctual automatons" paradigm most Antiochekan stars buy into. He feels as though he is losing Chandra to literally nothing.
