I’ll always be a fan of steve always knowing he’s into guys but never acting on it because he lives in small town indiana, and eddie is just a little bit put out that he wasn’t steve’s bisexual awakening.

Spoooooky request, what if the gang went to a haunted house and everyone made fun of reader for being scared, but Steve holds her hand and walks with her 👻
thanks for requesting angel! i switched it up a bit and did a sort of second part to this fic! you def don't have to read it but it'll give some context :D — you're still getting used to the world post-vecna, but it's easier with steve holding your hand
fictober (㇏(•̀ᵥᵥ•́)ノ)
The haunted house off Fifth Street looks strangely familiar. Two stories, faded cornflower paint job, boarded up windows. It looks like a dollhouse from hell. It looks like the goddamn Creel House. It’s like some kind of sick joke.
It didn’t take Hawkins very long to recover from last spring. Mostly because it was just an earthquake to everyone else. No one died, nothing was ruined beyond repair. To the rest of the town, it was just a minor natural disaster — an inconvenience more than anything.
No one knows that a thirteen-year-old girl killed the monster trying to end the world. No one knows that the local freak nearly died saving a bunch of teenagers. No one knows that one song, one heavy metal guitar, and one good memory just narrowly saved your life.
It’s secrets all of you are gonna have to keep for the rest of your lives. It weighs you down accordingly.
“Am I crazy, or is that…?” Robin trails off, freckled chin tilted towards the velvet blue sky as she gapes at the artificially rotted house. It glows a sickly green color on the outside. The windows light up red every now and then, in time with the screams echoing from the upper story.
“Yeah,” Nancy answers, breathless and equally dumbfounded. “I think it is.”
A beat of silence falls over the group of you. It doesn’t feel so heavy with the surrounding chatter. The crowd continues to bustle around you on the street, falling over themselves with laughter and lingering fright. They have no idea the ghost story they grew up with nearly destroyed the world.
The bitter realization makes your chest ache. Steve seemingly understands this and gives your hand a reassuring squeeze. You wonder if he can feel the way you tremble.
Eddie scoffs a cynical laugh from the other side of you. A pink, sadistic grin tugs at his lips, almost as wild as his curls billowing in the autumn breeze. “It’s basically kismet then, huh?”
Steve shoots the boy a half-hearted glare, then deflates because he realizes he can’t really be mad about it. Those damn demobats might’ve taken a pound of flesh from his stomach, but it’s nowhere near the feast they made out of Munson.
“C’mon on, dude,” he murmurs quietly with a subtle nod down at you.
“What?” Eddie snorts. “If I don’t laugh bout it, I’ll start crying, so… Take your pick, man.”
Steve wants to tell him that there’s no shame in crying. That he’s done it plenty of times since the fall of ’84. He’s cried for you, for himself, for the kids who will never get to be kids again. He figures it’s better than letting it all build up until you damn near explode.
But now’s probably not the best time for that talk. Or any time, really. He’ll get you to get all serious and sappy with Eddie about that another time, just like you did for him.
“I’m gonna, uh— I’m gonna go get the tickets,” Jonathan murmurs with his usual Byers mumblings.
He wasn’t around for the whole Vecna ordeal — just the weird shit in California and the secret lair thing in Nevada. He feels like he can be a bit braver about the whole thing for the four of you.
Nancy brushes a kiss to the boy’s cheek before he leaves. She does that a lot now, with Jonathan and all the rest of you. She always feels like she needs to say a proper goodbye and I love you whenever someone leaves. Just in case the world decides to end again.
“You don’t have to do this if you don’t want to,” Steve mutters to you, gaze twinkling with sincerity but stern still. “You know that, right?”
He knows that you know, but he feels the need to say it anyway. Mostly because he knows you were already scared of most things before everything went to shit. You’ve always been delicate, tender, like an open wound. Now, you can’t step outside without shaking. You’re always shuddering with the distant fear that the curse might return and no one will be there to save you.
Steve knows this, too. That’s why he holds so ardently to your trembling hand. It’s a silent reminder that he’s there, that he won’t let anything happen to you again, that he’ll always be around to save you when you need him.
“Oh, my god,” Robin groans, eyes wide and head tilted back. “Leave her alone, Steve! She’s fine!”
You know she’s just trying to be supportive. She thinks Steve’s coddling you because you’re quiet — that he’s sticking up for you because he thinks you can’t stick up for yourself.
He is. And you can’t. But still, she’s only trying to help.
Steve looks to his left to glare at her. They seem to communicate telepathically for a moment. His eyes soften again when he turns back to you. His deep cinnamon gaze swims with a honeyed concern, a silent “Are you fine?”
You nod. “I’m okay,” you tell him, mustering a soft smile that wavers at the edges.
He doesn’t believe you, not completely, but he doesn’t press it any further.
Jonathan returns with the ticket stubs. They’re black and blood red. You take the one he gives you with hesitant, clammy hands. He seems to notice how terrified you are without you having to say a single goddamn word.
“I’m not a huge fan of these things either,” he confesses with a thin-lipped smile. A light-hearted way of telling you that you’re not alone in the fear you keep hidden (very poorly hidden, you figure).
You smile back at him, but it doesn’t quite meet your eyes.
Your fingers fidget with the paper stub — maybe a distraction for yourself or maybe to hide how you’re too anxious to stay still. Steve figures it’s a bit of both. ‘Cause he knows you too well and not a thing gets by him. There’s nothing about you that he doesn’t notice.
He turns to face you completely while everyone else gets their ticket. He keeps his wedged between his middle and forefinger as his hands curl around the outsides of your elbows. He’s serious, but still soft — gentle, but still firm.
“Babe—”
“Stevie,” you interject with a similar tone. “I’m okay.”
“You heard her, Stevie. She’s fine!” Robin retorts, curling her maroon-tinted lips into a smirk. She scoffs out a laugh and gestures up to the fake haunt across the street. “This shit is basically for kids. No one’s dying here, alright?”
You know what she’s doing. She’s sticking up for you and taking the piss out of her best friend at the same time. It’s nothing new — hell, it’s her favorite hobby. She’s got your back now the same way she had it in that house last spring.
But still, her words sting a little.
Because she’s right. This place is for kids. And you still feel a bit like you’re dying.
Steve knows this, too. He knows everything about you. Even the stuff you wish he didn’t.
His sneakers scuff against the pavement when he turns to Robin. His eyes narrow in a challenging squint as he crosses his arms over his chest. He doesn’t look quite as intimidating as usual in his fluffy, cable-knit sweater.
“Well, you know what? I’m scared, actually. I don’t wanna do it, okay? You got me, Rob.”
The girl grins something cynical. She shakes her head all slow, like she’s just caught him in some kind of lie. “I knew it. You little baby.”
Steve lets her tease him. It’s not like he isn’t used to it by now. He just rolls his eyes and bears it, lets her laugh about it with the rest of the group as they head towards the haunted house.
You watch with an attentive gaze while they head inside, flinching softly when you hear a thunderous boom and the sound of their screaming a second later. It leaves you secretly grateful that you hadn’t gone in behind them.
A wavering sigh tumbles from your lips, a breath you didn’t know you were holding.
Steve exhales a gentle laugh from beside you. He smooths a wide palm up your spine and down again. He leans over to press the side of his hip against yours.
You cross your arms over your chest to make yourself as small as possible while you glance over at the boy beside you. You look at him so far beneath your lashes you’re basically peering at him from the corner of your eye.
“Thank you,” is all you say. It’s all you need to say.
Steve shrugs with a plush, crooked grin. “’S okay. I know you’re too sweet to say no, so…”
“I wanted to do it,” you confess, clearing your throat when your voice breaks.
“I know.”
“I guess I’m not… as used to everything as I thought.”
“I know,” Steve repeats. His hand curls around your waist and makes a home in the very center of it. He pulls you closer with the urge to melt into you. His brows raise, eyes sparkling when his smile widens. “But that’s why I’m here, though, right? We’re gonna get better together.”
You nod up at him, smiling more sincerely now.
Arms still crossed, your hands ball into fists to fight the urge to smooth a hand through his hair — to push back the rogue chestnut strands hanging over his forehead.
You hesitate, so he beats you to the draw. He swipes a golden hand over his head right before he leans down to kiss you.
He smacks a sweet peck to your smile. A bright light flashes with another thunderous boom a moment later. You flinch and pull back. You swear you hear Eddie screaming, “jesus fucking christ!” from the upper story. You forget to be scared.
You didn’t think it was possible. The whole getting better thing.
Steve makes you feel like could be.

(sorry about the last one! but not that sorry. this builds on it so read that part first!)
Spring 1986
Just once, Steve would like to go twelve months without the world falling apart. Just 365 days without some fresh new hell opening up. That doesn’t seem like so much to ask, but apparently, life has other ideas.
He’s currently curled up on a chair in the Wheeler’s basement for the second night in a row. In the past seventy-two hours, he’s been threatened with a broken bottle to his neck, found out about two murders at the hands of some unknown dark wizard from the Upside Down, and almost watched Max get taken herself. And it’s still ongoing.
Everyone else is asleep except for Robin, who has the first shift watching over Max. Steve can see her through the dark, sitting with her back against the couch by Max’s feet. Robin’s fingers are drumming silently along her knees, tapping out a frantic rhythm. Steve knows he should be trying to sleep, because he has the next shift in two hours, but he can’t. Not when his mind is miles away in a boathouse on Lover’s Lake.
Eddie is alone over there.
He must be terrified. He was only thrust into this other world a few days ago when he watched a girl die right in front of him. If Steve can’t stop picturing Max lifting into the air while they waited helplessly below, he can only imagine how horrific the afterimages of Vecna’s curse being carried out to completion must be. Eddie was a babbling mess when they found him, and it can’t have possibly gotten easier being stuck in that boathouse by himself the last couple of nights. That has to be the worst part, the being alone. Whenever Steve has been recovering from his brushes with the Upside Down, he’s never truly been alone; there have always been friends to turn to, even if he’s not always the best at doing so. There’s still a world to escape to, places he can go to feel normal again. But Eddie has no one, confined to a small box while police and pissed off jocks hunt for his blood.
Steve doesn’t want Eddie to be alone. He has no idea if Eddie would even want to see him considering how they left things, but Eddie deserves to have someone by his side right now. So Steve lowers his feet off the chair and leans over to tap Robin’s shoulder. She starts and looks at him.
“What’s wrong?” she whispers.
“Nothing,” Steve says, “Everything’s fine. Just—I’m heading out for a bit.”
She angles to face him more fully. “What?” she asks, “You can’t leave.”
“It’s just for a little while,” he assures her, “I’ll be back by the time I need to watch Max.”
“Steve—”
“It’s important, okay?”
“Steve, no offense,” Robin hisses, scooting closer and grabbing his ankle. “But there is nothing in the world that could be more important than sticking together right now.”
Sighing, Steve lowers himself off the chair and sits on the ground next to her. He wanted to avoid this, but it looks like it’s the only way. Maybe it’ll feel good to tell her. He leans close to her to whisper as softly as he can. “You remember last summer, when I told you about that guy I liked?”
She nods.
He leans even closer, voice almost inaudible. “It’s Eddie.”
It’s too dark to see her expression, but she grabs his hand and squeezes it. “Oh,” she whispers, “I understand.”
“I just want to make sure he’s okay,” he says, “He’s been alone for days.”
There’s a pressure as she leans her head on his shoulder. “Go to him,” she says, “I’ll cover for you if anyone wakes up.”
“I love you, Robin,” he says, turning and kissing her on the forehead. Then he gets to his feet. “Thank you.”
He ascends the stairs as quietly as he can and goes out the front door. Thank God he parked his car at the end of the driveway behind Nancy’s. He pulls away from the house and starts heading for the lake.
As he drives, he thinks about the last time he saw Eddie five months ago. He still doesn’t understand what happened. He thought things had been going well with Eddie—he thought they really liked each other. Steve knows he should have done more to tell Eddie how he felt. He knows he shouldn’t have deflected every time Eddie tried to have a conversation about what they were. He knows he was scared. But he thought they’d have time. Instead he’d shown up that day and Eddie had ended things without telling him why. The only reason Steve can think of is his own cowardice. And he hates himself for not being more ready. Maybe if he had been, he and Eddie would still be together.
Steve isn’t sure if Eddie will turn him away now. The two times they’ve seen each other since this all started, Eddie acted like they’d never even met. He came rocketing out of that boat brandishing a broken bottle, holding it up to Steve’s throat like he might really slit it. That was the first time Steve had seen him since he’d slammed the door in his face.
Parking outside of Reefer Rick’s place, Steve gets out of his car and makes his way to the boathouse, wondering what his reception will be like. He just hopes Eddie doesn’t send him back. Steve wants to help, wants to be there for Eddie. He hopes Eddie lets him.
He eases the door to the boathouse open. “Eddie?” he calls softly.
There’s no answer. It occurs to him that Eddie may be sleeping. If so, he doesn’t want to disturb him. Steve moves quietly inside, shutting the door behind him. He looks around, but doesn’t see Eddie. He wouldn’t have left, would he? Or maybe he was found, either by the police or by Jason and his cronies.
Steve moves through the boathouse with more purpose, trying to hold off the panic threatening to bubble up. “Eddie,” he calls again, not daring to raise his voice for fear of alerting the neighbors.
Again, there’s no answer, but he hears the faintest shuffling from the boat. Relieved, Steve crosses to it and pulls the tarp back. Eddie is lying on his back, staring up at Steve with those big eyes.
“Why are you here, Harrington?” he asks.
“I came to check on you,” Steve says.
Eddie looks away from him. “Great, well, you’ve checked on me,” he says, “You can go now.” He reaches for the end of the tarp and starts to pull it back over himself, but Steve grabs it before he can.
“Hey,” he says, “You’ve been alone for days, and you’ve seen some shit. You—” Steve digs in his jacket pocket and produces a pack of cigarettes. “Do you want one?”
For a long moment, Eddie just stares at the offered cigarette, not moving. Then with a small sigh, he sits up and climbs out of the boat to take it. Steve holds out his lighter, but Eddie gets his own out of his pocket. He pushes past Steve and sits on the bench along the wall. After a moment, Steve sits next to him. Eddie won’t look at him.
This is going great so far.
“Do you want to talk about it at all?” Steve asks.
Eddie shrugs. “I’ve already said all there is to say.”
“Alright.”
True to his word, Eddie is silent. Steve listens to the quiet breathing of the man next to him, the long inhales as he takes a drag. He listens to his own heartbeat, loud and persistent.
“How—” Eddie begins. Steve looks over at him and sees Eddie’s hand covering his face. “How do you do it?”
“Do what?”
“This. Handle this shit. I—I feel like I’m losing my fucking mind.”
Steve angles his body, knees almost touching Eddie’s. Well, you’ve seen me,” he says, “You’ve held my hand through enough panic attacks to know I don’t exactly handle it.”
Eddie drops his hand and looks at Steve, expression pained. Steve holds his hand out. Eddie doesn’t take it. Instead he folds his arms around himself, angling away from Steve. Steve retracts his hand.
“I’m fine,” Eddie says, “Still don’t know why you bothered to come.”
“Because I didn’t want you to be alone,” Steve says, “Because I care about you.”
That earns him a huff of air, an annoyed exhale. “Yeah, whatever.”
“What is that supposed to mean?” Steve asks. “You don’t think I care?”
Eddie takes a long drag of the cigarette. “Why should I think you do?”
Steve stands abruptly. This isn’t getting him anywhere. He wanted to be helpful, but he’s not going to stick around if Eddie’s just going to be a dick. “Alright,” he says, “I’ll go. I need to take over watching Max for Robin, anyway.”
“Yeah, wouldn’t want to keep Robin waiting,” Eddie says drily.
Hands on his hips, Steve turns to stand right in front of Eddie. “What, you have a problem with Robin now too?”
“Why would I have a problem with her?” Eddie asks, shrugging. “Everyone loves your girlfriend.”
“She’s not my girlfriend.”
Eddie raises the cigarette to his lips again. “You expect me to believe that?”
“Well, yeah, considering it’s the truth,” Steve says, “We’re just friends.”
“But you’re clearly sleeping together.”
“Absolutely not, man,” Steve says, “Why the fuck would you think that?”
Brow furrowed, Eddie waves the cigarette vaguely. “You’re so…close,” he says.
“Yeah, she’s my best friend,” Steve says, crossing his arms. “And we survived Russian torture together, so yeah. We’re gonna be close.”
“You survived—what?”
“Not the point. The point is Robin and I are not together. Never have been, never will be.”
Eddie is staring up at him, mouth slightly open. Steve can’t quite read his expression. “You…” Eddie says. “You’re not?”
“No, definitely not,” Steve says. “Is that why you’re so mad at me?”
Eddie stubs out the cigarette and drops it, then runs his hands over his face. “I saw you,” he says, voice muffled. “In October, I saw you at the diner in town all cuddled up with her. I thought she was your girlfriend.”
“You thought—but, Eddie, I was with you.”
Still hiding behind his hands, Eddie shakes his head slightly. “I thought she was your girlfriend and that you were fooling around with me behind her back.”
Steve is frozen to the spot. This is why Eddie ended things? Not because Steve wasn’t ready to label things but because Eddie thought he was a cheater?
“I wouldn’t do that,” Steve says, his voice coming out angrier than he expected. “And it sucks that you think I would.”
He turns and takes a step towards the door, but he’s held back by a hand on his wrist. “Wait, Steve,” Eddie says. He stands and moves around to face Steve. “I—I really thought—”
“I’m not that kind of person,” Steve says. He’s not. Even in his King Steve days, he never kept multiple girls on the line. When he loves, he’s all in. He’s not a fucking cheater.
Eddie puts his hands on Steve’s arms like he’s trying to keep him from running away. “I’m so sorry I thought that,” he says, “I just—I didn’t understand why you would be holding her like that. I mean, how was I supposed to know what your relationship was like? It’s not like you ever introduced me to any of your friends.”
That feels like a slap in the face. “You could have asked.”
Shaking his head slightly, Eddie goes on. “Sorry, no, I shouldn’t be trying to blame you, I—” He pinches his eyes shut. “It really didn’t make any sense. I didn’t understand why you were with me. You with me. It doesn’t—I mean, look at me.”
“What do you mean?”
“You’re—Steve Harrington. The golden boy,” Eddie says, opening his eyes. “And I’m a freak.”
“No you’re not,” Steve says.
“I am,” Eddie says, “You know I am.”
“Okay, well, I really fucking liked you,” Steve says, “Whatever you are. I don’t care if you have, like, unconventional interests. I really wanted to be with you.”
Eddie looks like he might cry. “I wanted that too,” he whispers.
“I wish you had talked to me,” Steve says, voice gentler. “I wish you’d told me what you thought you saw so I could have explained then.”
Eddie closes his eyes. “I thought I already had my answer,” he says, “I thought you—I mean, I tried to talk to you, about what we were. And you always avoided it.”
“I’m sorry,” Steve says. Tentatively, he lifts a hand to Eddie’s hair and Eddie leans in ever so slightly to the touch. “I should have told you how I felt about you. But I was scared. I mean, I’ve never liked a boy until you. It’s been—terrifying.”
“I understand,” Eddie says, opening his eyes. “And I’m sorry. Maybe we both kind of suck at talking.”
Steve smiles slightly. “Yeah, maybe.”
“Do you think we could, uh, start over?” Eddie asks, “Pretend all of that never happened and just go from here?”
“I’d like that,” Steve says. He puts his arms around Eddie, burying his face in the other man’s shoulder and they stand like that for a while, clinging to each other. He knows they’ll need to talk more, work out the issues that led them to this place and figure out where they’re going from here. But for now, he’s happy to just be touching Eddie.
“Hey, Steve?” Eddie asks, gripping him a little tighter. “Will you stay for a little while?”
Steve runs a hand through Eddie’s hair. “Of course I will.”
Eddie takes his hand and leads him over to the boat, climbing back in. They lay side by side on the bottom, tucked close together. It’s not even remotely comfortable, but Steve doesn’t really care. All that matters is that he’s holding onto Eddie and Eddie is holding him back.
“When do you have to leave?” Eddie asks, face against Steve’s shoulder. Steve checks his watch.
“In about an hour.”
“And why—you said you’re watching Max?” Eddie says. “Why does she need watching?”
“Oh,” Steve says. He sort of forgot that Eddie doesn’t know. “Vecna almost got her.”
“Holy shit,” Eddie says, tilting his face to look at Steve. “Is she okay?”
Steve shrugs. “I think so. No broken bones or anything,” he says, “But she’s definitely freaked out. We all are.”
Shifting a little, Eddie frowns. “How did she survive?”
As quickly and coherently as he can, Steve explains the discovery that Robin and Nancy made about music and Max’s description of what she saw. He stumbles over the explanation, since he’s not sure he completely grasps it. He wishes Dustin was here to describe it better. But Eddie nods along like he gets it.
“Music is powerful shit, man,” he whispers.
Steve nods. “Yeah, it saved her life,” he says, “We have her listening to the song on loop, and somebody staying awake to keep an eye on her in case she starts lifting again.”
He feels Eddie tense slightly, probably remembering Chrissy. “I’m sorry you had to see that,” he says.
“It was fucking terrifying,” Steve says, “I’m so sorry you had to go through it alone.”
Eddie tucks his face back against Steve’s neck, not saying anything. For a long time, they just hold each other. As terrible as the circumstances are, there is something oddly comforting about being in this boat with Eddie, bonded by their shared history and this new misery.
“You can sleep, if you want,” Eddie whispers eventually. “I’ll wake you up when you need to leave.”
“No, that’s okay,” Steve says, “You should sleep.”
“I’m not tired,” Eddie says, “I slept all day when it was light out. I can’t seem to fall asleep in the dark.”
Steve knows that feeling exactly. He’s gone through it enough times to know how much worse the darkness makes the nightmares. Now though, he’s so exhausted from the day that all he wants is to sleep. “Are you sure?” he asks.
“Sleep, baby,” Eddie murmurs, and Steve could cry from the return of that name. “I’ll wake you up.”

Steve's first thought when he discovered bisexuality wasn't "Oh, so there's a name for me, I'm not alone", it was "What a relief that I can still like girls" instead.
Don't get him wrong, he wasn't against being gay, it was just that girls were always an easier option for him.
He didn't need to pretend because he did like girls, like how soft and nice-smelling they were, like how they nestled in his arms and let him protect them.
But he also liked how tough and masculine-smelling boys were, like how they roughhoused and overpowered him whenever they wanted to.
He liked both and somehow, he was afraid ashamed to admit so.
Thus, while he would go out with girls and hook up with them, he would jerk off to photos of naked men on his phone when he was alone and fantasized about being pinned beneath them.
And yet, those masturbations remained as his guilty pleasure. A scandalous thing that was never allowed to see the sunlight.
Steve knew nothing was wrong with him liking boys, the world had started becoming kinder and more accepting.
But it was also difficult letting himself become the one thing that he had been taught was bad growing up.
His worldview didn't quite shatter when he first had a wet dream about one of the boys in his class, but it was a close thing.
It had made Steve dizzy and nauseous, causing him to almost have a panic attack when he thought it was over for him.
That was why he had spent his high school years sleeping around, hoping to cure himself.
It was until he met Robin that his eyes were opened.
Learning about bisexuality had finally set his mind at peace and he could never thank his best friend enough for saving him from his inner turmoil.
Still, Steve always had this secret fear that no one knew about, even Robin. But he had a suspicion that she already did and was just waiting for him to confide in her.
Thing was, Steve always wondered what he would do if the love of his life was a 'he' and not a 'she'.
Would he be brave enough to love 'him'? Or would he continue denying his feelings and stay single and unhappy for the rest of his life?
As Steve was still struggling with those questions, Eddie Munson had swept into his life like a storm.
The man took nobody's shit and was unapologetic when he told people his opinions.
He was weird and funny but also kind and a romantic at heart.
He always listened to Steve, took Steve seriously, and offered Steve comfort.
He made Steve laugh, made Steve forget all about the bad things, and made Steve float with happiness.
He was everything Steve could ever ask for in a partner.
Except, Eddie Munson was a 'he'.
And never once in his life Steve had wished to be a girl so bad.
Because if he was a girl, he could be together with Eddie without fearing his parents' disappointment or the pity and disdain people would throw his way once they knew he wasn't straight.
Nonetheless, all of that couldn't compare to his fear of losing Eddie.
Every day, the fear got worse until Steve just broke down and started bawling his eyes out in his bathroom at three in the morning because he missed Eddie so much.
After crying his heart out, he decided to just up and go to Eddie.
The older man had taken one look at him before carefully pulling him inside his apartment and wrapping him in his steady arms.
"Eddie," he sobbed, unable to keep his emotions at bay.
"I'm here, sweetheart," Eddie combed his hair gently and swayed them both slowly. "I'm here."
Everything kind of went hazy after that for Steve and when he woke up again, he found himself being tucked safely in Eddie's chest.
Somehow, the easy intimacy between them just broke something inside Steve.
He didn't know he was crying again until he heard Eddie's worried voice above him.
"What's wrong? Are you hurt somewhere, Steve?" Eddie had pulled back to get a better look at him.
"Nothing, I... I'm just scared," Steve sniffled.
"Oh," Eddie's face softened and the man started stroking his back soothingly. "What are you scared of, Stevie?"
"You," Steve admitted.
"Me?" Hurt flashed across Eddie's eyes.
"Yeah," Steve closed his eyes and dug the heel of his palm into his eyelid as he choked out. "I'm scared that I love you," his lips wobbled again, "So much, too much."
A tense silence blanketed them and Steve kept breathing shakily. He didn't dare to open his eyes not even when Eddie shifted and cradled his face softly.
"Me too," Eddie whispered. "I'm scared too."
That made Steve's eyes fly open in surprise, "Was that why you never said anything?"
"Yes and no," Eddie smiled sadly at him. "I'm always scared but never was I more scared of anything than losing you, sweetheart. I never said anything because I was afraid that I'd ruin our friendship with my stupid feelings."
"What should I do?" Steve leaned into the older man's touch and watched those dark eyes reflect his image. They were shining with many unsaid things and he wished he could keep them all to himself.
"I can't say anything for you, darlin'," Eddie caressed his cheek tenderly. "But we can be scared together if you accept me. Accept us."
Steve parted his lips to say it, but all the words just stuck in his throat and choked him with their thorns.
Eddie seemed to understand him nonetheless because the older man just gave him another sad smile before leaning closer until their lips met in a soft kiss.
"I love you," Steve murmured when they finally parted, his pointer finger tracing the line on Eddie's jaw.
"Love you too, my sweet boy," Eddie kissed his forehead and held him close again.
After that night, they had been inseparable. Despite their relationship staying secret, they had announced it to their close friends and Eddie's uncle.
Though the fear was still there and Steve might never be ready to accept himself, he felt better with Eddie by his side, always understanding and loving him unconditionally.
And Steve just knew he would be alright. They would be alright.

HI! IVE BEEN WAITING FOR YOUR REQUESTS TO OPEN!
Can we please get a song fic with "dial drunk" by Noah kahan??? Definitely gotta be a sad ending. I was thinking either Eddie or Steve, but you can pick! Thank you so much!
(I'd give you a kiss, but I've seen SB get jealous over less 🤭)
Jealous SB is one of my favorite versions of SB
Never proofread
I’m rememberin’ I promised to forget you now But it’s rainin’ and I’m callin’ drunk And my medicine is drowning your perspective out So I ain’t taking any fault Am I honest still? Am I half the man I used to be? I doubt it, forget about it, whatever It’s all the same anyways
Breakups were easy for Eddie because he never bothered to fall in love. He'd get into a relationship, hold himself from falling in love, and get over the girl a week after the breakup.
But now he's on month two of his breakup with Y/N and it hasn't gotten easier. She was the first girl that showed him what falling in love felt like. And she showed him how painful falling in love was.
Everything he touched, he ruined, and she was another thing he shattered. He held her heart in his hands and kept it safe for years and years. He took that heart with him to the bar and held it close while he got drunk, feeling the beating of her heart when he kissed someone new. Leaving her heart on the shelf while he felt the inside of another girl, not noticing the damage the heart would take.
Until the morning when he woke up with a girl that wasn't her, the heart burned when he touched it, glazed over with betrayal. He returned the heart to her with guilt in his eyes, and apologies were on his tongue. It wasn't enough. Her heart was in pieces, and she took every piece back.
Eddie promised himself he'd get over her, he vowed to forget about her in weeks, just like every other girl. But the rain was pouring as he drove to the bar, the same bar where he lost half of himself.
I ain’t proud of all the punches that I’ve thrown In the name of someone I no longer know For the shame of being young, drunk, and alone
Eddie lost count of how many drinks burned down his throat, but he was aware of how many times the guy next to him commented on the picture of Y/N. He took it out to stare at her, slamming the liquor down as he looked at the girl he missed.
His pity party was cut short when he heard the sexual comments the guy next to him had to say.
19....20....21..by the time the guy got to his 22nd comment, Eddie was yanking him off the bar stool. Shoving the man to the ground and trying to heal with every punch he landed.
I don’t like that, when they threw me in the car I gave your name as my emergency phone call Honey, it rang and rang, even the cops thought you were wrong for hanging up I dial drunk, I’ll die a drunk, I’ll die for you
Eddie heard the commotion all around him, but all he could focus on was releasing the anger, sadness, and regret that had built up in him. He heard sirens, and he felt hands grabbing him. His body was being slammed down with his cheek pressed into the sticky floorboards. His hands were yanked behind his back, feeling cold metal on his wrists as they were cuffed together.
He ended up in the backseat of a cop car, one place he vowed to never be in. But here he was, drunk, alone, and arrested. Just like his father.
When he arrived at the station, the cops asked for the number for his emergency call, and he gave her number. Eddie had no one in his life, she was the very last person, and she didn't want to be.
He listened to the call ring and ring. His heart raced the longer it rang; no trace of life on the other line.
The cop looked sadly over at him, a sense of pity in his eyes as Eddie heard the phone die out. He shouldn't be surprised that she didn't answer. This wasn't the first, or even the tenth, time he called her wasted off of his ass. She never picked up, and he hated that he wished for the outcome to be different every time.
I’ll rot with all the burnouts in the cell I’ll change my faith, I’ll kiss the badge Just wait, I swear she’ll call me back Son, why do you do this to yourself?
The cop was getting ready to move him to a cell, but Eddie pleaded just to have another minute. He'd do anything for another minute just to have a gamble to hear her voice again.
He'd rot away with the other burnouts in a cell. He'll change his views, believe in new fates, and discover a new god.
"Please, sir, just wait. I know she'll call back." Eddie pleaded
The cop didn't seem convinced, the pity look taking over his face as he watched Eddie almost in tears.
"Son, why do you do this to yourself?"
"Because I know she will call back."
It was a lie Eddie would continue to tell himself.
Because in the end
I dial drunk, I’ll die a drunk, I’d die for you

here we go... thank you for the request!!
occasional
summary | It all happened so naturally, you knew it would hurt when it eventually reached the end of the road.
Tumblr media
pairing | Steve Harrington x fem!Reader
warnings | fluff and angst, suggestive themes, allusions to semi-public sex (yeah, idk how we got here), sort of hopeful/bittersweet ending, this sort of delays season 4 for a year so no spoilers :)
word count | 1,3k (blurbs? i don’t know them anymore)
author’s note | idk, i listened to this song in an insane loop and sort of went with a summer love vibe because no one could stop me, but now i’m sad and i want these two to have a very happy ending… anyways, see it for yourselves :)

After moving out for college life in Hawkins felt weird.
Going back to your old home for Summer Break brough not only all the memories from your high school year but all related to The Upside Down events and it was… well, it felt even more weird.
You went to Family Video first, a way to get back to the Hawkins atmosphere after a good while you were gone — your mom would certainly kill you if you spent the break anywhere else that wasn’t her home again. There was no way to contain your surprise as you walked inside and saw Steve Harrington on the front of a shelf organizing movies, all that while involved in a playful conversation with Robin Buckley, one of your old friends.
With the Mind Flayer incident being distant by almost a year you ignored the last occurrences of your last month in Hawkins — that included the unexpected friendship between Steve and Robin and how he somehow knew who you were after surviving together in a Russian Military Base.
“I can’t believe it!” Robin said in the middle of whatever Steve was trying to reason with her. “It’s been months since I’ve heard from you.”
She came from behind the counter to give a hug, one that was very much welcomed by you. You truly missed her, distance made things harder and you feared the day one of your only friends in that small town would move on completely from you.
But at least you were still safe from that, it seemed.
“I didn’t mean to take so long to come back here and the phones… they don’t collaborate with a poor girl with too much gossip to tell.” You started to justify your every action before she just smiled and interrupted you.
“I get it, but I’m happy to see that you’re still alive.” Robin was still Robin, you grinned.
“Hi.” Steve finally came from behind the shelf, running his hand through his hair and smiling at you — why was he smiling at you like that? “Long time no see, Y/n.”
“Oh, hi Steve. I’ve been a little bit distant.” You heard Robin scoff the moment “little bit” left your mouth.
“So, now that you’re here, how can I help you?” He gestured around him, making you remember what your intentions were at first.
“Right! I came here to look for a… movie.” You told him the obvious, only five minutes inside the store and robin had enough material to tease you. “Don’t even say anything, Robin! Would you have any suggestions for an indecisive person?”
“Well, I wouldn’t be working here if I didn’t have one now would I?”
Robin told you later he would.
If you told any past version of you that you’d be one of those girls in Steve’s car you’d laugh in your own face. But there you were, during a summer break and very much occupied laying in the backseat. It seemed to be one of your favourite pastimes along with finding an excuse to go to the video store and talk with Robin, both of you teaming up against Steve.
Of course, she didn’t know about the other stuff that kept filling your daily schedule, but no one knew about that and it was better like that.
The “secret” rendezvous didn’t start as something intentionally hidden. Going to your house or his house when parents weren’t there was just easier after two casual encounters at a diner. It wasn’t hard to figure out you told no one about it and he neither, so that became a silent agreement.
Yes, the boy you considered a complete douchebag through all your High School years and avoided any possible conversation was now quite busy with the buttons of your blouse and not taking his lips away from yours. Things were different then a year ago.
There was no need to make a big deal about something with an expiration date.
But in those moments when you were so lost in each other you allowed yourself to think what would be like if it could last, just to hide the question in the darkest corner of your mind.
No need to make a big deal about something with an expiration date.
It was comfortable, that’s why you allowed it to happen.
Talking with Steve was good. He knew about the Upside Down even before you did and there were no lies about how you’d spent the last summer fighting a monster from another dimension. Steve was fun and charming, you felt safe with him even as the shadow of your departure came looming above you two.
And that was something you avoided talking till the last minute, you wouldn’t say you forgot because it was completely intentional.
That was the problem with things that flowed way too easily at the start, between wine glasses and late night drives the important stuff kept left out to create a new problem in the future, the type of problem you only stop ignoring until it’s too late.
“I got back to Washington tomorrow.” You suddenly announced.
Steve hit the breaks almost as fast as it, making you gasp with surprise since you were in the middle of the road.
“What?” That was the only thing he could think of asking. What on Earth were you saying?
“I’m going back to college tomorrow.” You repeated it, the nonchalant tone made his heart clench playfully and he had no idea yours was hurting in the exact same way.
“And you just tell me now? Less than 24 hours earlier?”
Your silence only seemed to make things worse, but there was nothing you could do. “You never asked me when I was going back.”
“It is because I was pretty sure you were going to tell me eventually!”
“Well, I didn’t.”
“Now I know.”
The quiet and uncomfortable atmosphere was a stranger in that car, but helped the tension to rise more every second you both spent with months shut.
“You should pull out the road.” You suggested in a whisper voice.
Steve took your suggestion in silence and all you wanted was to get out of his car and disappear.
“I guess this is it.” Steve said, pulling on your driveway and parking right in front of your house.
“Steve…”
“No.”
“Hey! I’m sorry, okay? I liked every moment we spent here. A lot. Probably more than I should.” You confessed to him even if Steve avoided looking in your eyes. “But we always knew this wouldn’t work.”
“Just say you don’t want it, assume you think it’s better this way but don’t say ‘this couldn’t work’ like me thinking it could work is the craziest idea you ever heard.” Steve said bitterly and you had no reaction to it besides the tears pooling in your eyes. “If you really wanted…”
“Now this is bullshit, Steve!” You exploded and his face fell.
“What did you say?”
“It makes no sense! It doesn’t mean I like you less, it just means there’s so many things that aren't in our favour right now and… God! I’ll miss you like hell, but I can’t even keep in touch with my friend, Steve.”
“You… like me?”
You frowned at his question. “I like you, I really do. Like, so much I know young me would slap me if she found out.”
“Wow, now that’s a pretty huge risk.” Steve joked and relief washed over you seeing his attempts at going back to your usual behavior.
“I know.” You smiled sadly at him.
The silence was back, the tension had dissipated but the weight of the words that were said was impossible to ignore.
“Well see how it goes. I…” Your rambling was cut off by a soft kiss, also a melancholic one. You wouldn’t dare to say it was a goodbye kiss, it was more of a don’t-wait-another-year-to-come-back-or-I’m-going-to-find-you-myself type of kiss.
“How many days till Winter Break?” Steve asked you when your eyes were still closed.
You didn’t even bother to answer the question, just pulled his lips back to yours by the collar of his uniform.

hi!! just coming into your inbox because i saw you posted about the show ramy & i also loved it & have nobody to talk to about it. i know ramy youssef said he might make a season 4 but it's not official and i can't stop thinking about what a season 4 would be...fatherhood? but also he still owes a bajillion dollars due to that diamond piece he lost, right? idk. i welcome any and all thoughts <3
Hey dudette! Thanks for the follow, I'm in a pretty similar position so I feel you lol. The girl who introduced me to the show was a girl from a dating app and we don't really talk anymore so I don't have a lot of people to talk about it to either, thanks for hitting me up!
If the series ended where it left off, I'd be down with that, but I also can't deny I'm curious as to where the Hassan family + their friends end up after the third season. Putting my theories under read more cus it's a lot.
Here's what I'm thinking: it takes a really long time for Zainab to come around, but by the last 1-3 episodes she kind of accepts that Ramy is the father of her kid and she can't deny that, nor take that away from her daughter, and she can only come to this conclusion after a lot of time spent as a single mother (which comes with pros and cons) and a lot material proof that Ramy is a changed man; yeah he's still got his vices and flaws, but we all do, and he's not fucking his cousin or doing deals for the Israel mob anymore and he's finally found a nice balance between being a peaceful, average American millennial and being the firstborn son of an immigrant, which is definitely not an easy pattern to break.
Dena gets married, for sure, but the majority of her character still revolves around her studies and her career. There's scenes where her fiancé (I forget his name) gently drags her away from her studies to go on cute little dates or to remind her to eat dinner or to take her to diners for breakfast and catch up and pray and all, flirting with her over text and calling her on Facetime every now and then and linking up on weekends and vice versa, and it's established pretty well that he has a life of his own and is doing pretty well with his roommates and stuff. He and Dena get married a little after she passes the bar.
Farouk and Maysa have to sell the house, and it's super bittersweet. Ramy and Dena help them move all their stuff into this cute little 2 bedroom apartment, the second room doubling as a guest room and as a room for when one needs space from the other. It's weird not having the kids around and it's a little closer to the city than they like, but it's got a lot of perks too. Maysa can drive for Lyft and make friends easier cus everything is Right There, Farouk actually finds his rhythm as a con man, which complicates things a little but also, we all know he's a good and smart guy and would eventually know the law well enough to skirt around it, so it's a start. Their marriage improves a lot too cus they're finally humble enough to talk to each other about real shit.
Uncle Naseem doesn't accept being gay fully till like, the last three episodes. Post retirement of course. Ramy finds some old love letters while helping him clean and move the rest of Naseem's shit from Jeweler's Row and just smiles and nods to himself, dropping aforementioned shit off at his apartment with nothing but a little extra bundle of cash; both as a way of saying "sorry about the bullshit" and "don't explain; I know." and it's cool. As a cherry on top, he might have even made up with that guy at the gym, or he might have found a new guy.
Shadi should meet up with Steve at some point and get into the DJ scene proper; it's hard for him when Farouk and Maysa have to move into a smaller apartment without him, but he finds a decent and diverse group of rave bros during a set one night and it saves him from having to spend the rest of his time in the U.S. on the street. He falls for a cute black hippie chick during one of his sets, and they move in together. It's a little small and cramped but he has her and her cat has already fallen in love with him so how can he have any more reserves? This is just where god wants him to be,
I can't speak for any of the minor characters, or the cousin that Ramy stopped fucking, but yeah. This is my take. If you wanna talk more, feel free to DM!

If you’re still taking DVD commentary asks: I love what you said in your other response, about how a Steve POV would be hard because he’s not as honest with himself as Eddie. I’m curious what Steve’s thoughts are re: what’s happening between him and Eddie? It’s clear from Eddie’s perspective he’s embracing his feelings for Steve. And Steve is not unaware of what’s going on (how many times can you tenderly caress your bro to soothe him to sleep before it’s no longer considered Bro Behavior) but what’s going on in his head?
oh i always love taking dvd commentary asks! & this one relates perfectly into part of a scene in the upcoming chapter so gives me an excuse to ramble out some thoughts while i get it ready ❤️
so yeah, from eddie’s pov i think he’s fully accepted the fact that he’s falling/has fallen in love with Steve—but he’s almost, like, side-stepped really acknowledging those feelings because he’s so caught up in the fact that Steve has survived, that he’s going to be okay. so to him it’s more that: oh yup. Shit, that’s a thing. Well it’s not gonna happen obviously & i’m more than happy to live with that, to have him as a friend, because thank god he’s alive. so he’s almost silently told himself that anything more is an impossibility. so yeah, he can care for Steve, he can adore him, he can even slip out a couple of “Sweetheart”s without fully meaning to & that has to be enough—as long as Steve is safe, in eddie’s eyes it will be enough.
imo Steve is still figuring himself out in certain ways—him & Eddie may or may not have a conversation that might make some things a bit clearer (i say vaguely lol sorry) but yeah, exactly, Steve isn’t unaware of his feelings. in my head it’s kinda implicit that in this version of events, steve’s conversation with Nancy about his dream did not happen, but that Eddie telling him that Nancy diving into the lake was an act of true love did. & with regards to a Steve pov being hard cause he’s not as honest with himself… in that same way i feel like Steve finds it much easier to analyse Eddie and realise Some Things rather than directly analysing himself, if that makes sense? like him fondly watching Eddie & declaring “Got you all figured out, Eddie Munson” & “If any of us was going to be a romantic, it’d be you” is much easier than trying to figure himself out; him being baffled by Eddie believing he had a crush on a girl in their English class (“What is it with you and—never mind”*) is easier to focus on than unpacking why he’s getting hung up on the misperception, you know?
*in my head Steve’s also referring to Eddie initially pushing him & Nancy together here—he’s like, dude, why do you keep trying to pair me off with some girl? why is this bugging me so much? …oh. Oh, okay. Yeah.
but while Steve’s still working through some things, i think he also keeps growing more and more aware of how he’s falling in love with Eddie; him saying “what if I want to keep looking at you?”, while he’s exhausted, is still half an attempt at flirting (good try, Steve!) & him saying “You just stayed… you were so… lovely.” is imo the closest either have got to admitting oh, I’m in love with you out loud.
so yeah, both of them have probably had inklings of feelings right back at the fic’s opening—Eddie’s initially overwhelmed by grief because god, I think I just figured out that I want to know you, want to love you and now I’ve lost you. And then Steve’s journey of awareness is really given a shove by almost dying because shit, life’s too short and I really want to figure this out. Like that he almost owes it to himself, to allow himself to be happy? In that sense & in this fic i also view Steve’s line in the show to Robin that “I still have hope” to be partly him looking over at Eddie and subconsciously realising that there’s Something There. but then he sees the clock & has to come to terms with the increasing possibility of that hope being lost.
request some “dvd fic commentary”

Steve loses his virginity at a party, second week after the new year’s beginning.
Well, a lot of things lead to that.
After the night he spent with Jonathan, all Steve wanted was to stay with him even more. The whole week he counted the days, hours, minutes until next Friday when they’d get to meet again. They’d see each other on the hallways at school and smile and there was so much in Jonathan’s eyes that Steve felt like the heat of it could keep him warm throughout the whole winter. More often than not he’d have to look down or find excuses to not make Tommy or Bryan suspicious, still trying to steer them away from Jonathan.
Bryan. That was another thing.
Something happened someday between Bryan and another guy after a basketball practice, a week after the last time Steve saw Jonathan. Bryan and the other guy were the only ones there, until coach caught them and brought them to the principal. They were both invited to leave school, which was something Steve never thought he’d see happening, and since they were the only ones there, no one else knew what they did. Bryan’s family actually moved away, and the other guy was sent to a boarding school.
It was the talk of Hawkins High for the last month of the year. Everyone gossiped and theorized on what could’ve been that bad. But no one knew the actual truth.
Tommy, missing the other half of his brain, got grumpy. He wasn’t as physical anymore, not without someone else to help him with the beating, but he’d pick on more people, for reasons more stupid every day. And without his former partner in crime, he started dragging Steve everywhere. And, worst, following Steve everywhere.
Steve couldn’t see Jonathan. Not without the risk of Tommy trying something.
Now, Steve thought things would get better after Bryan left, but they didn’t. And at a party right before Christmas break, Tommy allegedly found the love of his life and if he was insufferable before that, he was actually even worse after. He dragged Steve all across town looking for Carol Perkins, and he wouldn’t rest before he found her.
Christmas came, Steve spent the holiday with his family and the minute it was over, Tommy was all over him again, to another random teenager’s party.
Steve couldn’t see Jonathan. Again. He had already planned the night, separated what he wanted to gift him, bought an extra can of hairspray.
But Tommy was relentless. The weeks followed, and he dragged Steve from the movies to the stores, to parties, to the mall two towns over — everywhere, looking for the girl he was obsessed with. It was the coldest winter Steve had ever gone through in his short life, and he was forcefully glued to Tommy like a teen babysitter. The one person he wanted to see so close and so far. Just a tiny spread of forest and the entire social pyramid separating them.
Two weeks after New Years, at yet another party, Tommy finds Carol Perkins.
She isn’t alone.
And Steve isn’t a virgin anymore.

I agree with your read on the Jancy fight in s2, and it's why Jancy endgame is the only outcome that makes sense for me. We need to see that the characters have grown across the show. Jonathan needs to stop letting his family responsibility prevent him from living his life and choose a future with Nancy, and Nancy needs to not just go with the "easier" choice (Steve) and show that she's willing to fight for her love and not let Jonathan slip away from her. Otherwise what have they learned?
Thank you so much, Anon! I completely agree about jancy (no surprise lol) and agree that their arcs are set up for an endgame in some capacity.
What I want to gently push back on, or at least question, is this idea of Steve being the easier choice now. I absolutely agree that Steve was the “easy” or comfortable choice in seasons 1 and 2 (and why I believe Nancy stayed with him along with guilt over Barb’s death and wanting it to not be in vain) but Steve’s life and his relationship to Nancy have changed so much by season 4 that if Nancy were to choose to be with Steve again, I don’t see it being an easy choice. For her to get back with Steve now, she would have to break up with her current boyfriend and navigate that fallout to be together. Which is messy (even if it ends up being what she wants).
When she chose Steve at the end of season 1, it was the safe and easy choice because their relationship and feelings were already established. Additionally, in season 2, Steve was offering her a comfortable life where he doesn’t go to college, stays in Hawkins, works for his dad at a job with benefits and all that adult stuff, where he can still be with her while she’s stuck in town for her senior year (but implies a life settling down in Hawkins). This is a comfortable life that resonates strongly with the vision she ranted against in season 1. We can even see the fear on her face when he mentions it.
Two season later, in season 4, Steve has gone through his redemption arc but we don’t really know much about his ambitions and desires other than he is desperately searching for “the one”, he doesn’t want to leave Hawkins (and specifically doesn’t want to date girls who are leaving for college in the fall), and wants to have a large family that go on summer road trips together (which is cute and great for him!) However, we also see that he’s working at Family Video and has not expressed any desire to move beyond that. In season 3, he mentions that his dad is punishing him for not getting into IU by making him work at Scoops Ahoy but we don’t know if the plan is still for him to eventually work for his dad.
Taking all of this into consideration, it’s clear that Steve’s not promising (or, more likely, not able to promise) a comfortable lifestyle for Nancy that mirrors the traditional single-income, “man works, woman takes care of the house and kids” future he kinda suggested to her in season 2 (which again, she did not like). Long story short, Steve is no longer presenting a comfy life to Nancy. If she chooses to be with him, it would not be for those reasons anymore.
So no, I do not think Steve is the easy choice or even the most comfortable choice anymore BUT I also think that Nancy’s attraction to Steve in season 4 stems from nostalgia and comfort seeking at a time where she is very insecure in her current relationship and feels unloved. In short she is retreating back to the comfort of Steve.
TLDR: Steve is comforting and fun and Nancy enjoyed the nostalgia of their time together during season 4 BUT choosing to love Steve now in season 4/5 would not be the easy of most comfortable choice for Nancy.

Part one- Made for You ( Sequel to Beauty and the Freak)
🛑 Mature 18+ Minors DNI!🛑
Move in day
Veronica
" I think that is everything." I closed the door to the van and sighed. This was it, move in day. My stomach was a wreck, I was an emotional mess and my anxiety was through the roof. I knew that I should be excited, my first apartment, living on my own like an actual adult, starting a new chapter of my life, starting at a new school. But I had never been alone before, I knew that it was just a temporary thing and I also knew that I needed to learn to be self sufficient and independent. I was terrified but I couldn't show it.
Eddie came up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist. He put his chin on my shoulder. " I can't believe this is it."
" I feel like I could burst into tears at any moment."
"Baby it is going to be alright."
I looked around at the gang, who had come over to help me load up the vans." I'm really going to miss them. "
Steve, Robin, Dustin and Mike stood in my driveway ready to say goodbye.
Eddie unwrapped his arms from my waist and rubbed my shoulders. " It's almost time to go Sweetheart."
" Alright," I sighed. " Thank you guys so much for your help packing up the vans. I can't believe this is it."  I gave Mike a hug first," I'm glad I got to meet you, good luck your sophomore year of school. Tell Nance when you see her again that I said hey!" Nancy had left the previous week for orientation.
" I will pass that long." Mike smiled.
Then there was Dustin. My absolute favorite out of the kids. I wrapped him up in a tight hug then whispered." I think I'll miss you most of all." I pulled away and saw him smile." I don't really have any words of wisdom for you Dustybun because your already a freaking genius. Take care, and at some point when you guys have a long weekend or something maybe you could come visit?"
" That would be awesome." He smiled again.
I looked up at Robin instant tears in my eyes. I pulled her in for a tight hug. " Thank you for taking me under your wing and sharing your friends with me. You were one of the first people to talk to me. We have had some fun times this year, some wild times. I am going to miss you so much."
" Don't cry bitch! You'll get me started!" She laughed and squeezed me tight."Thanks for keeping me entertained in band, and outside of band and getting drunk with me at parties. It really was a wild year. You'll be home for holidays, Steve and I will come visit you when we can, I promise."
" You better!" I backed away and smiled, then turned to Harrington.
He pulled me in for a tight hug." What am I going to do without you around to have deep meaningful conversation with?"
"There is always Dustin."
" Yeah but I don't like his tone, and he talks to me like I am an idiot."
I looked up at him." You are an idiot." I smiled.
" Hey, hey, hey, I took a punch in the face for you, trying to defend your honor." He smirked.
" And I threw a punch trying to defend yours."
" I guess we are even then. I can never show my face again at the hideout, not after that. Steve Harrington had to get saved by a girl? "
" I don't think it's quite your scene anyway."
" No." Steve squeezed me tight." I'm really am going to miss having you around Montgomery."
I don't know what it was about him saying that, but instantly the flood gates opened. Maybe it was because I had been holding it in all day, maybe it was because I knew he was being sincere and I am just a hot mess. I buried my face in his chest and cried.
" I thought I told you not to cry!" Robin Sniffled. She and Eddie came over and joined in on the hug.
" I am going to miss my little dysfunctional family. You're the best Friends I have ever had. I went the past two years being a loner because it was just easier that way , then I moved here and you guys took me in." I sniffed and wiped at my eyes.
" It's not like it's a forever thing. We will still see you, we will call you. I mean you will have your own place, your only 3 hours away, we can make a long weekend trip, you can show us around the exciting world of Illinois. Life won't be as exciting without us around though, I mean you'll essentially be hanging around with a bunch of band geeks." Steve smirked.
" Who says band geeks aren't fun and exciting." Robin punched him in the arm." We are usually the life of the party!"
I backed away and wiped my eyes with my sleeve, Eddie came over and rubbed my back.
" Will you guys need any help unloading things when you get there? I mean I can follow you guys there and help." Steve offered.
" Thanks Steve, but I think we should be all set. If I had more furniture maybe but it should be pretty easy to unload. You can make the trek when we can actually go out and have a good time."
"Alright." He put his hands in his pockets. " I guess this is goodbye then, for now. If you need anything ,just call, ok? Seriously. Promise."
" I promise, if I need anything I will call you guys." I smiled at him then Robin. "You guys need to call me if you need anything too, ok? Promise?"
" Promise."
" Ok."
" We should get going before she cries again. Hey! Shrimps! Time to go!" Steve shouted and Dustin and Mike came back over. They quickly piled into Steve's car and waved before they pulled away.
Eddie pulled me into another hug. " You ready to go? I'll go get Lucy and Bill. " I nodded then climbed into the front seat of Eddie's van.
Eddie walked out wearing a tee shirt with my college emblem on it, mom and Bill right behind him both wearing one as well. My mom had a big smile on her face.
I Laughed." You guys are dorks!"
" I picked them up for us when we checked out the apartment , I thought it would be nice if we matched, showed our support!" Mom beamed.
" They are awesome Mom!"
Eddie opened up the door to the van then hollered over to Bill that we would follow them. He hopped in and buckled up." Ready for our road trip Darlin?"
" I guess so."
We took off down the road after Bill. Eddie thought of everything, snacks, drinks, my favorite mix tapes a map just in case we got separated. He kept the mood light chatting and singing, keeping me distracted knowing that I would most likely start crying again if I wasn't.
" Can't wait to see the apartment, you can walk right to classes from there right? It is close to Campus?"
" Yeah, that's what mom said. She also said that there is a cute little coffee shop right down the road too. "
" Maybe we can do some exploring together tomorrow? See what's close by. I want to see if there is someplace I can get a job."
" Sounds good."
" Your mom was saying that the rest of the apartments in the building are also being rented out by students. Maybe you guys will be in the same classes, can study together."
" Yeah, that would be awesome. But I'll have my favorite study buddy soon." I squeezed his leg. " You'll help me right?"
" Absolutely baby."
" Can't wait to decorate our apartment. Can you imagine our room? My pink comforter and curtains and your Iron Maiden and Metallica tapestries?"
" We will interweave our styles. I'm so excited. I can't wait to live a domesticated life with you. "
" It sounds so lame, but I can't wait to cook dinner for you in our own little kitchen."
" It's not lame. I will totally help you, I need to learn how to cook, like real food not frozen or canned shit."
" We'll eat dinner then cuddle and watch TV, it going to be so amazing. I'll be able to warm my cold icy  feet on your hot little body every night. "
" I won't have to crawl out of bed in the middle of the night and leave so your mom doesn't catch me."
" I'm getting butterflies just thinking about it. You and me baby, starting a life together on our own. I'm so fucking excited!"
Eddie rubbed  my thigh." Me too Sweetheart."
The next couple hours flew by as we talked out our life together, my school schedule and classes. We followed Bill as he pulled into a parking lot of a small brick  apartment building. We bolted from the van and ran up to the building, my mom handed me the key and smiled.
" Here you go my sweet college girl."
I put the key in the door knob and unlocked the door. The apartment was small but clean and super cute. I loved the tiny little kitchen with the island that looked out into the cozy living space. There was a window over the sink in the kitchen and a big window in the living room that let in a lot of natural light. I walked into the bare living room then down a short hallway where I found a small bathroom with a shower and then directly across from that was the bedroom. It was about the same size as my bedroom at home was and that was a huge surprise. The closet door was in the back corner of the room. The room would be plenty big enough for my bed, nightstand and dresser, Eddie could have the closet space if he needed it, I would only have a few performance dresses to hang up. I heard him walk into the room and I turned around to face him, the smile on his face matching mine. He picked me up and spun me around.
" It's perfect!"
My mom and Bill walked in smiling. "It's a little on the small side-"
" It's perfect Mom, I love it! Way better than staying in the dorms. It is going to be so cozy! "
" Come on Eddie, let's go out and see what we should unpack first." Bill pat Eddie on the back and the two took off.
I looked at my Mom and she started to cry." No Mom you can't."
" Can't help it! My baby girl has grown up and is going to college and has her own place! I'm not going to see your smiling face every morning before school! I can't say goodnight to you before bed-"
" You can call me every night mom if you want! "
" I know!" She hugged me." I am so proud of you, who you have become. I know I don't have to worry because you are smart and capable and responsible. And soon Eddie will be here with you, and I know he will take care of you." She pulled away." It's hard as a mother when your kiddo leaves the nest, and not to toot my own horn, but I know I did a good job raising you. "
" The best job Mom." I hugged her again.
" Let's go out and see what the boys are doing, I need some fresh air anyway."
We started unloading Eddies van first, that had mostly boxes of clothes, kitchen items , the smaller  things that were perfectly labeled so we would know exactly where they would go. Once the boxes were in there designated room we tackled the furniture. My bedroom furniture went in first, then the random pieces of living room furniture that my mom had picked up at lawn sales and that my Grandparents didn't want in their basement anymore. Nothing matched but it gave the place character. Once everything was in it was a matter of just putting things away. I tackled the kitchen and put away  my modge podge of random plates, bowls and silverware and my mom put away the linens and towels  in the bathroom closet ,then hung the shower curtain and the guys arranged the furniture in each room and started hanging curtains. The apartment was really starting to look like a cozy little home. There were a few things that we would need, like a small kitchen table and maybe some lamps but other than that it was perfect. When we finally stopped Bill looked at his watch and we were shocked when we realized that it was 7:00. He decided that we had all worked hard and we should celebrate with some pizza. My mom made up a list of groceries that we would need sooner than later like coffee and drinks and decided that they would make a trip to the market before hitting up the pizza joint. Eddie offered up his van so that they wouldn't have to drive the moving truck around. Bill accepted with a smile and they took off.
I pushed Eddie down onto the couch and straddled his lap. " What do you think of our place baby?"
" It's Awesome." He smiled." I can't believe it's ours." He grabbed my ass and pulled me closer to his body. " I can't wait to fuck you in every room of this apartment."
I leaned in and pressed my breast into him." I'm looking forward to it. Are you going to start on here on the couch?"
" As much as I would love to take you right here and now, I feel weird knowing that Lucy and Bill could be back any minute. "
I threw my head back and sighed."Your right. It's just, it's going to be a whole month Eddie. That's a long time"
" It's a good thing I have stack of sexy pictures of you by my bed." He smirked.
" I have a feeling that there are going to be a lot of late night phone calls." I smiled. " I will have to practice my sexy phone voice. "
Eddie laughed."You don't have to practice anything, I love your voice, I love hearing dirty words coming out of that pretty mouth of yours." He nipped at my lips."And you could be walking around in a holy T-shirt and baggy sweatpants and you would still be the sexiest woman alive."
" Awww Eds, I'm going to miss you so much."
" Please don't cry babe. Come on, let's go finish unpacking your room-"
" Our room-"
He smiled. " Your right, our room."
*************************************
" Well Honey, today has been a long day, between driving and lugging boxes around and unpacking I am completely exhausted. I am ready to hit the hay." My mom yawned
"You guys can take my bed, I can crash out here on the floor."'
" You will do no such thing. Bill and I booked a room at a cute little bed and breakfast about 10 minutes from here. We stayed there when we came to check out the apartment. It was lovely. We all deserve to sleep in a nice comfy bed after the work that we put in today. I know I am looking forward with soaking in a nice hot bath. We'll meet back up at the coffee shop around the corner say 9:00? Then we can show Eddie around campus, check out what's close by?"
I blinked a couple of times." Sure, that sounds great." I was totally shocked but wanted to play it cool.
" Great! " My Mom pat Bill on the leg, "Ready to get going honey?"
Bill got to his feet." We better before I fall asleep in this chair." Eddie and I walked them to the door. I gave them both a huge hug.
" Don't forget to lock the doors when we leave and double check the windows, Ok Sweetie?"
" I promise."
" Alright guys get some rest, we will see you in the morning. Love you guys!" My mom smiled at us then they left, waiting just a couple seconds until she heard the door lock behind her.
I turned and looked Eddie, a look of disbelief on his face.
" We have the place to ourselves tonight? I was fully expecting to be crashing on the floor tonight next to your parents."
" So was I. I'm quite shocked actually. I mean I guess they figured now or a month from now your going to be here. It's kind of weird though, I mean they have to know that we are going to have sex tonight right? Doesn't that make tomorrow morning awkward?"
" Maybe they got a room because they wanted to have sex."
" Eww Eddie!"
" Well, it's possible." Eddie came forward and wrapped his arms around my waist. " I think that we should take advantage of our current situation, not worry about tomorrow and break in every god damn room in this apartment." A sexy smile crossed his lips as his hands squeezed my ass "Where do you want to start?"
I bit my lip and pulled his shirt up over his head then threw it to the floor.           " Right here." I ran my hands down his sexy chest and didn't stop until I got to his belt buckle. I took it off as fast as I could and unbuttoned and unzipped his jeans. I could feel his hard length underneath the fabric  as I slid his pants down. I rubbed my hand along the front of his boxers and he groaned. I slid them down and exposed his raging erection. I closed my hand around it and stroked.
" That feels so good Princess."
" I want you to feel good baby." I kneeled down in front of him not wasting any time licking his tip before I took him into my mouth , moving my head slowly forward and back.
He groaned again." Jesus Christ," he ran his hand gently through my hair. "Baby can we slow down just a minute-"
I looked up and saw him biting his lip, I twirled my tongue around the tip and felt him shudder.Just a little tease before I pulled away. " You need me to slow down baby?"
" I need to get you out of those goddamn clothes, it's my turn now."he helped me up to my feet and started tearing off my clothes. I was so turned on. Once I was sufficiently undressed he picked me up and put me on the edge of the counter. He kissed my lips, my neck, I moaned as he took one of my breast into his mouth. I felt his hand slide between my legs and spread them apart. My pulse quickened as he trailed kisses down my body, his head now between my legs. He kissed the soft skin on the inside my thighs, raking his teeth lightly over it . It made me shiver. I watched a smile spread across his face, then ran his tongue along my slit. I gasped as he licked and flicked at the most sensitive area of my body with his tongue , than continued his fingers sending me close to the edge.
" Eddie," I breathed." Eddie, I need you inside me."
He stood up and picked me up off the counter and I wrapped my arms and legs around him. He sat back on the couch and I lowered myself down onto him. We both groaned. He felt so good inside me, I rocked my hips and he buried his head into my neck. He grabbed my hips and moved them back and forth at a faster pace. I wasn't going to last much longer.
" I'm so worked up, I'm so close baby," I whispered in his ear.
He raised his hips and dove deeper inside me. I cried out his name in release, feeling the wave of pleasure wash over me, I could feel Eddie's body tremble under me as he climaxed as well. We held each other a moment both breathing heavily, then Eddie leaned against the back of the couch. I brushed the sweaty hair back from his face and placed a soft kiss on his lips. He smiled at me then kissed the tip of my nose.
" Does that count as kitchen and living room?" I asked, running a finger down his chest.
" Check and check. Wow baby, it was-so fucking good." He took my face in his hands and kissed me."Our first time in our new place.  It is a good thing that we closed the curtains earlier or we would have given the neighbors a show."
" Oh shit, I didn't even think of that!" I got off his lap and found his shirt on the floor and slipped it over my head. I picked up his boxers and threw them over to him, then slid on my panties .
" We have upstairs neighbors too. Some of them could be classmates. "
" Fuck that's right. Guess we had better keep it down. Wouldn't want them to get jealous." He smirked.
I went into the bathroom and when I came back out he had slid on his boxers and grabbed the comforter off of my bed." Time for cuddles."
I smiled and snuggled up next to him."I can't believe I had sex on my Nana's couch."
" It's very comfortable. We'll have to thank Nana." He put his arm around me and covered me up. Within a matter of minutes we both passed out on the couch.
I woke up the next morning in my bed, Eddie spooning me, hand on my boob. I smiled to myself and wiggled up against him. He stirred and pulled me closer.
" Good morning Angel." He kissed my shoulder. " How did you sleep?"
"I must have slept hard because I don't even remember coming in here."
" I woke up at 3:00 this morning an you were completely zonked. I didn't want to wake you up so I carried you in."
" You carried me in? Baby, that is so sweet! I really must have been tired."
" You were snoring."
" I was? Oh my god!"
" No." He laughed.
I spun around to face him." Shithead."
He smiled and kissed me." I think the key to good nights sleep is lots of sex. It tires you out and you sleep like a baby."
" Is that it?"
" Yes, and guess the best way to wake up?-"
" Shower?"
" Sex in the shower, you get the added benefit of both."
" Oh I see. Well I guess we had better go wake up in the shower then."
We were showered and out the door by 8:30 walking hand in hand to the coffee shop to meet Mom and Bill . We arrived a couple minutes early so I ordered everyone coffee, except Eddie, I got him a hot chocolate and some pastries for everyone. We sat at a little table in the front of the café and watched everyone walk by. We waved at Mom and Bill as they walked through the door and they joined us at our table.
Mom smiled when she saw the coffee and treats at the table. " So how was your first night at the apartment? You guys sleep alright in a strange place?"
" Yeah it was nice and quiet, No creepy noises. We fell asleep on the couch watching TV. We were beat."
" I woke up at 3:00 in the morning because she was sawing logs." Eddie smirked.
" I was not you dork!" I playfully slapped his arm.
" She didn't drool on you like she did when she was sick, did she?" My mom smiled at Eddie.
" No I didn't!" I took a sip of my coffee.
" Actually Princess you did."
I looked from Eddie to my Mom." For real?"
" Yes Honey you did, I had to give him a different shirt to wear."
" Well that's embarrassing." I could feel my cheeks get hot.
Bill just sat back taking it all in with a smile on his face and  eating a danish.
" Babe it wasn't a big deal, you were sick, I was just glad you got some rest. I fell asleep too so I didn't see you in action."
My mom laughed. " That's probably when you picked up her cooties."
" I went over and took care of him when he was sick!"
" You did an excellent job nursing me back to help. Lucy, I think your soup helped too."
" The cure all."
We finished up our coffee and danishes and decided to walk around. It was a cute city, there were a lot of shops and restaurants and parks, definitely more going on here than Hawkins. Eddie found a music shop and a record store that he could potentially work in and he seemed to really dig the atmosphere. There were lots of lounges with open mic nights and lots of live music. Seeing the excitement on his face took away some of the anxiety that I was feeling about him relocating. I just wanted to be sure it was something that he actually wanted and not something that he felt obligated to do.
We walked around campus for a little while and I still felt slightly overwhelmed, there were so many buildings. It would be fine, I kept telling myself. We stopped at the university store and I bought Eddie a cheesy bumper sticker that said 'Someone I love attends Northwestern University.'
He said he would be proud to put it on his van.
My mom and I found a store that sold practically everything and we picked up a few extra things for the apartment, pillows for the couch, a throw blanket and some potholders. We also went and picked up more groceries. My Mom fully in mom mode stocked my cupboards and fridge.
" There I feel better knowing you've got everything you need." She wrapped me up in a tight hug . " We have to get going. I am going to miss you so much! You are going to do great, I know it."
" I will call you every night, I promise."
" You better!"
Bill and Eddie walked in from the living room, " Well Lucy I think it's time."  Bill gave me a big hug. " Love ya kiddo. Good luck."
" Thanks for everything Bill." I smiled at him, when I looked back at my mom I saw tears in her eyes. I started to cry. "I'm only 3 hours away. You can come see me anytime!"
" I know, I just worry. I know you get anxious and that you have trouble sleeping ."
" I will probably be so busy I will fall right to sleep, any anxiety I have will go away as I get used to being here. I am a creature of habit, once I get into a routine I will be fine."
My mom went over and hugged Eddie. "I feel much better knowing that you will be here with her. Take good care of my girl."
" You got it Lucy. I will be here full time before she knows it."
" I love you kids."  She pulled both of us into a hug.
I cried into her shoulder." I love you Mom."
She pulled away. " Ok, no more tears! If I don't leave now I never will. Let's go Bill."
We walked them to the door and gave them each one last hug. I watched them get in the moving van and I waved as they drove away. Eddie wrapped me in his arms and rubbed my back as I tried to stop crying. I was really going to miss them.
The next day Eddie and I lazed around trying to enjoy every possible moment of our last day together. I tried not to dwell on the fact that I was going to be an absolute mess later on when he left and just live in the moment. We cooked breakfast together, laid on the couch and watched movies together and just cuddled the entire day.
When 4:00 rolled around I knew it was time for Eddie to go, he had a long drive ahead of him.
" I don't want you to go." I buried my face in his chest.
" I don't want to go either baby." He kissed the top of my head. " Your going to be fine sweetheart. Once school starts you'll be so busy the time will fly. I just want to make sure that Wayne is going to be alright without me. I practically run the house because he is never home."
" I know, and I totally understand."
" Maybe I will surprise you and come sooner."
" Don't tease me. The countdown clock starts ticking the minute you walk out that door. Are you sure your going to be alright driving home? You won't get lost?"
" I have the highlighted map, it was pretty straightforward to get here."
" You'll call me when you get home?"
" I promise."
I looked up into his beautiful eyes and he smiled down at me.
" This weekend was such an awesome preview of what our future is going to be. I am so fucking excited."
" Me too. Now I just have to make it through this month. I'm going to miss you so goddamn much. I'm going to miss your hugs, your incredible kisses, your scent- "
" My dick-"
" Your charming personality and quick wit."
He laughed. " My scent? What do I smell like?"
" Like soap, cologne and leather. Super manly. I love it."
" I love how you smell too, shampoo and flowers. I am not sure what type of flowers but you always smell so good."
" Lily of the valley, or sometimes lilacs. My Nana gets me perfume every year for my birthday, always something light and floral."
" I'll have to thank Nana not only for the couch but the perfume as well."
I could feel tears starting to sting my eyes." I love you so much."
" I love you more."
" Kiss me and show me how much you love me."
He took my face in his hands and looked deep into my eyes, then his lips crushed mine. He kissed me so deeply, so thoroughly, so intensely it left me completely breathless. It was the most amazing kiss of my life. I leaned forward for one more and he delivered again.
When he pulled away he ran his thumbs over my lips and wiped the tears from my cheeks.
" You really are a kissing wizard. How are you so fucking good?"
He smiled." It's because I love you."
"When you come back we are going to spend the whole day just kissing like that."
" Sounds perfect ." he pulled me closer and squeezed my ass. " I've got to go."
My heart sank. " I know."
" I will call you every day."
" I will miss you every day."
" Baby," he squeezed me." I love you so fucking much. "
I squeezed him back." I love you more than everything. "
He leaned down and kissed me. " Promise me you will call me if you need anything."
" I promise." I reached up and took my guitar pick necklace off . " I know that technically this is already yours, but it is something that I absolutely treasure, I never take it off. I want you to have it back, wear it while we are apart." I clasped it behind his neck.
He smiled." It looks better on you."
" Your only saying that because it gets stuck in my cleavage all the time." I laughed.
He kissed my forehead, then pulled away. He took off his leather jacket and put it around my shoulders." I want you to have this. Make sure to wear this and tell everyone it's your boyfriend's so everyone knows your already taken."
I smiled." It smells like you."
Eddie took my hand and brought it up to his mouth, kissed my promise ring. " Will you walk me out?"
" Of course."
He held my hand as we walked out to the van. " Next time I'm here I'll be home for good."
" You'll be home." I wrapped my arms around his neck. " One more kiss before you go?"
" Oh course Sweetheart." He smiled and lifted me up for another amazing kiss.
I told myself I wouldn't cry again, I knew it would only make him feel bad.
" Don't forget to call me when you get home so I know you are safe."
" I will." He put me down then climbed into the van. " I love you baby."
" Love you! See you soon Pookie."
Eddie smiled. " See you soon Kitten."
I backed away and  watched as he backed out of his spot , then waved as he drove away.

Steve with Eddie and Nancy while Nancy is with Steve and Robin and Eddie is also with Steve and Chrissy? Thoughts? Potentially queerplatonic Steve and Robin?
Very interesting for someone to ask me for my Stranger Things opinions when I haven't written a Stranger Things fic since ... September? October? of 2022.
But I'm chatty, and I love giving my opinions about things.
First of all - isn't 'queerplatonic' just code for 'gay besties' 'two homos (meaning any kind of LGBTQ persons) who are attached at the hip but do not fuck'? - I always ship platonic Stobin, I think they are literally the best soulmates ever. And as someone who is the captain of all poly ships, I think that two people can exist as a platonic thread in a poly relationship with other romantic and sexual connections (those connections acting through other members of the poly relationship).
I have several drafts (and it's a shame I haven't finished or posted one yet) where Steve and Robin end up in a poly relationship with a reader character, and they are both still 100% platonic toward each other. They just fall in love with and date the same girl and use their intuition for each other to love and support her in a very 'teamwork' kind of way.
As for the polycule? I love it. I am always down for that, I especially love versions where Argyle and Jonathan are there too. I love that meme with Nancy - "this is my boyfriend Jonathan, and this is Jonathan's boyfriend, Argyle". I also feel like Eddie and Argyle would be soulmates if they got a chance to meet (rip).
Also, while I am multiship, one of the only Stranger Things ships I don't like is Stancy. And I feel like Stancy only works if they are in a poly ship, because if they're not, they fall into such horribly heteronormative roles, and I fucking hate it. Nancy would never be a homemaker and have Steve's kids (it's what she resents her parents for, being so cookie-cutter, she would be a career driven woman and probably never have kids, or adopt kids and make someone else take care of them) - but it feels like that's the life Steve wants or thinks that he wants with her.
When they're in a poly relationship, they don't just fall into those roles, and it feels so much better. So - I love Stranger Things polycule. Also, I have a guilty pleasure of Eddie x Nancy, and I feel like the only way it would happen would be in a polycule lmao.
Also CHRISSY - Chrissy and Eddie are so cute, and I feel like Steve/Eddie/Chrissy would be such an interesting dynamic, because Chrissy probably thinks that Steve would be like another asshole jock on the surface, and getting to know that he's just a fucking dork would make it so much easier for her to shed her social mask, and ooomf I LOVE IT
Thank you for coming to my Stranger Things polycule (mini) Ted Talk

"Um... yes?" You asked as you brought down the hand which was holding out a twenty dollar bill - since you thought it was the pizza you've been waiting for, for like the past half an hour, and not a blond, six feet and some inches, tall super soldier.
"Hi... doll," he smiled.
"My name's Y/N," you corrected him as you frowned, so fed up of men undermining you by calling you such 'sweet' nicknames. You knew Captain Rogers wasn't like that, but still you couldn't have him getting any ideas.
"Right," he cleared his throat as he repeated your name. "Sorry," he said with a toothy grin, which almost made your heart melt.
"How did you get my address, Captain?"
"Tony gave it to me. I would've asked you at work... but I wanted to do this the right way."
"Do what?" you quirked a brow.
"Um, I maybe people aren't as formal nowadays," he sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck, "But I can't really change who I am... not so late in life anyway," he cringed as he realised he was pretty rambling then, taking a deep breath he gathered enough courage, "I wanted to ask you to come with me, as my date, to the valentines party this Sunday."
You hummed at that, considering it because damn if Rogers wasn't convincing. Even when he wasn't as authoritative and dominating as he is when he puts on the suit.
It would be nice to be courted and treated nicely, and to not have to put up with the shit most men try to pull with you, you were sure Rogers would show you the time of your life. Besides, only an idiot would say no to him.
"No." You said with a finality that left no room for debate. "Is that all?"
"Uh... I... yes..." he stammered, not exactly prepared to be turned down so bluntly. "Can I ask why?"
"I don't shit where I eat."
"What?" his eyebrows cutely scrunching up.
You just knew you must've touched a nerve with your crass language. Tony, your boss, had told you about Cap and his 'language' incident.
"I don't date people at work... it can get complicated," you explained as he nodded.
It wasn't a complete lie. You didn't want to be known as the 'easy' girl or have others gossip about you. But that would be a sacrifice you'd willing make for someone like Steve. Who'd dare make fun of the Captains girl anyway?
You had been smitten with him from the moment you saw him, learning about his bravery and sacrifice as a kid you looked upto him and respected him, but when you met him in real life... you were a complete goner. Your stomach did somersaults every time he touched you, or hell even looked your way.
You tried your best to flirt, which was basically you stuttering and trying to make small talk whenever you had a chance to talk to him. Since he was born almost a century ago he would probably be offended if you were the one to make the first move.
You continued your back and forth for weeks before he told you about her. That he'll be visiting her over the weekend. You simply nodded, having a vague idea of who Peggy Carter was but not of what she went to Steve.
After some research you found out that she was an old flame of his, someone he couldn't marry and build a life with because he was frozen for decades. Upon seeing her many qualifications, and just how freaking brilliant she was, you knew one thing.
You may not be as smart as her, but you knew that you could never measure upto a woman that incredible. Someone Steve still visits after all these years. You were already afraid that he was out of your league but now you were sure of it.
"Did I do something wrong?" he wanted to know.
"What do you mean?"
"Well," he shoved his hands in his pockets, his bottom lip jutting out in a pout, "It's just that you used to talk to me all the time... and now it seems as if you're ignoring me. Is it because of something I did? Whatever it is I never meant to hurt you," he swore.
You sighed. "It's nothing you did, really. I just realized how incompatible we are. I hope you find the one you're looking for, someone who'll make you happy and give you the world. It just won't be me."
You didn't let him say anything closing your door instantly as you kept your tears at bay.

At the valentines party
"Cap," Tony said, slapping a hand on Steve's shoulder, "I thought you'd have her on your arm tonight. What happened?"
Referring to his assistant. He wanted to play cupid this once, since it was the season of love, he wanted to see his idiot friends happy. He was sure you both would be disgustingly smooching and all cute at the party. But not only had you both shown up separately, you seemed to be actively ignoring Steve.
"She uh... rejected me," he said, looking down into his glass of whiskey. It didn't do much for him but it helped him blend in.
"Ouch," Tony winced, "I was sure she would go for you. But I guess I have been wrong before," he shrugged.
"Really?"
"Yeah. She goes all heart eyes whenever you're around. But I guess that's nothing unique since that's just how most women act around you," he scoffed. "You should read all the love letters you got today. I was going through them, you have quite a passionate fanbase of people who want to... what was it..." he pretended to think hard about it. "Yes, 'ride your bicep', I don't understand the physics of how on earth that would work, but I am intrigued."
"Tony," Steve rolled his eyes as he always does when he's around the billionaire. "I don't really care about all of them... they don't know me. I only care about her and I don't know why she said no, but there's nothing I can do about it."
"Whoa, you're accepting defeat so soon? Where's that I-can-do-this-all-day attitude?"
"This isn't a war, Tony. If she doesn't see me that way... then there isn't much I could do."
"Maybe she's just playing hard to get. There's absolutely no way to really know what goes on in womens heads, Rogers. They're so smart and sneaky... it's kinda scary actually."
"I don't think she'd play games..."
Tony had gotten distracted pretty quickly and left Steve alone to pout and only appreciate your beauty from afar. You had worn a pink dress with red hearts on it, and for some reason, you got more beautiful every time he looked at you.
"Hello."
He jerked when he heard the foreign voice, looking at the blonde woman next to him, with her hand out, he shook it just to be polite.
"I'm Crystal," she smiled, flashing her sparkly white teeth.
"I'm Steve."
"Of course I know who you are!" she laughed, "You're Captain America, everyone knows you," she playfully hot his bicep before squeezing it, "Oh my... you must work out a lot."
"Uh... yeah..." he nodded. He could never get used to how people perceived him so differently.
"There is something I need to know really bad," Crystal blinked as she looked up at him, "Do you wear underwear in those suits? They seem really tight, wouldn't it be uncomfortable?"
"Oh, um... we just sort of..."
Tumblr media
You had never looked at yourself as a jealous person. Maybe things were different when it came to Steve... he was a pretty special guy.
When you looked at him, talking to some girl, dancing with her, laughing and having fun with her, it was as if you were on fire from simmering rage, at the same time you could feel your heart breaking in a million pieces.
You knew it was wrong. You had no claim to him, he can do whatever he wants. If you said no to him then it makes perfect sense that he seeked out someone else.
You just had to get away for some fresh air, so you wouldn't abandon all class and pull the girls hair and drag her away from your Steve.
You yelped when you heard him call out your name.
Looking over your shoulder you saw him staring at you, his brows scrunched up, he looked so worried. But why?
"What're you doing here? You'll catch a cold, doll," he takes off his blazer, putting it over your shoulders and then groaning when he realised his slip up.
"Right, sorry, old habits die hard. I won't call you that again, I promise," he said, crossing his finger over his heart.
"No... I think it's kinda sweet. No ones ever had such an endearing petname for me. I do like it."
"Oh," he frowned, "it's just that you said you didn't."
Tony, of all the people in the whole universe, was right. There was no understanding women.
"I guess I lied..."
"Why?"
"Um..." You were at a loss of words and nervous. Steve wouldn't tolerate lies, and you didn't want him to hate you. "It was easier to do that then tell you the truth."
"What's the truth?"
"I do like you... a lot. But I don't want to live in someone else's shadow. And I just think the whole thing would end in a disaster..."
"What're you talking about, Y/N?"
"Peggy. Your first and only love. I can't measure upto her, not in my wildest dreams, there's no use trying."
"Why would you have to measure upto Peggy?"
You opened your mouth to answer, but couldn't really come up with an answer. "Why wouldn't I?"
"I did have feelings for her, but that was a long time ago. I'm happy she lived her life, it just wasn't meant to be."
"So, you're not still in love with her?"
"No," he shook his head, "I wouldn't have asked you out if I was."
"Well, what about Crystal? You were practically glued to her the entire evening!" you huffed as you stomped your foot. Mad at your own stupidity. You could've simply told him the truth and asked for a straight answer. "I have to warn you, she had was pretty crazy in the last season."
"Last season?"
"Mm-hm, the last season of her reality show, I've seen all eight seasons. Maybe they just amp up the drama, maybe she isn't actually crazy, I wouldn't know," you shrugged.
"Doll," he smirked, circling a hand around your waist and pulling you into him, "are you jealous?"
"I am not!" you gasped, looking away from his eyes as you felt your cheeks heat up.
"I don't want anyone but you. Why would I? You're goddamn perfect. And... I want you to be my girl."
"I guess I don't really have a reason to say no now..." you murmured, your face still flustered as you played with the buttons on his shirt before he tilted your chin up to make you look at him, placing his lips over yours in the most tender of kisses.
Tumblr media
"Got the job done, Tones... I'm pretty sure I saw him go after her, I have to say though, you look at Captain America, and you really don't expect him to be that awkward..." Crystal said as she sipped on her gin and tonic. "You owe me."
Tony only hummed, not too happy about being indebted to someone, but you both needed a necessary push in the right direction.

#1 from the smut section?? 💕💕💕
Thank you so much for requesting!! Here is the prompt list if you have interest in prompting me!
Sorry, there's no actual smut in this, it's just about the tension. (But I can write smut for this at a later date, if it's so desired)
Steve isn’t ashamed of the pornos he keeps stashed under his mattress. He’s a young man with a healthy libido, it’s not weird or scandalous. It’s just that he hasn’t touched them in a while. Because they’re full of girls and while girls are still great. Amazing. Wonderful. His thoughts have otherwise been occupied.
Because Billy Hargrove works at the pool now. And Billy Hargrove probably lifts weights every day of his life. And Billy Hargrove always sticks his tongue out way further than he needs to when he’s getting ready to blow the whistle at someone. And Steve may have a perfectly serviceable pool in his backyard, he does not have a Billy Hargrove in his backyard.
Steve keeps his watch on a timer so he can put sunscreen on at precisely the right time. Skin cancer runs in his mom’s side of the family and he’s not willing to risk it. Even if he would like to get a nice tan, maybe one to match Billy’s. He also rotates every thirty minutes or so, swapping between lying on his stomach and lying on his back. Steve never actually gets in the water because that would ruin his hair. But he braves the crowds at the pool to stare at Billy behind his sunglasses.
Billy isn’t in the chair right now, he’s wandering around the edge of the pool, watching the kids and in just a moment he’ll be right by Steve’s chair. And Steve will get to admire his ass in those tiny swim trunks. Until he’s startled out of his daydreams by his timer going off. He sits up and slaps his hand over his wrist, flushing when Billy looks over to him. Steve really hopes that’s going to be it, Billy will look at him and move on. But, of course, without fail, Billy licks his lips and starts stalking over to Steve.
Steve reaches for his bag, pulling out his sunscreen and squirting way too much into his hand all at once. He starts slapping it on his chest and arms, trying to look intently focused so Billy will lose interest and walk away. But a shadow falls across Steve and he slowly looks up.
“I wasn’t running,” he says stupidly.
Billy chuckles, soft and predatory. “Oh I was just wondering if you needed help getting your back?” He gestures to the sunscreen Steve is covered in. “Wouldn’t want you to burn.”
Steve flushes again and he hopes his skin is tan enough for it not be noticeable. “Uh, yeah if you have the time.”
Billy swings a leg over Steve’s pool chair to perch behind him. “I always have time for you.” He picks up the sunscreen bottle and squirts less into his hand than Steve did. His hand is warm when he puts it to Steve’s back and he starts rubbing it in in sweeping circles.
Steve wills his dick to stay soft and does his best not to lean back into Billy’s hand. He focuses on rubbing all the sunscreen out of his chest hair and counting backwards from a hundred.
“Do you think of me when you touch yourself?” Billy murmurs, leaning in real close to Steve’s ear.
“What?” Steve asks, dumbfounded.
“You know, when you put your sunscreen on. Do you think about how much easier it would be if I was here to help you every time?” Billy asks innocently, eyes wide behind his sunglasses.
Steve chokes and licks his lips. “Uh…I…yes?”
Billy pats Steve’s back, gently right at the base of his spine above his ass. “I think about you too, pretty boy.” He gets off the pool chair and walks away, swinging his hips. He does a half turn and cocks his thumb towards the locker rooms, glancing over his shoulder.
Steve doesn’t care that he literally just put sunscreen on when he scrambles to his feet to go meet Billy in the showers.

Blank Out (Bucky Barnes x Reader)
Tumblr media
SUMMARY ››››› Bucky Barnes has a list of names–amends he needs to make. When he gets to yours, he finds the amends process a bit more…difficult than it should be.
WORD COUNT ››››› 1,700-ish
WARNINGS ››››› language
A/N ››››› Oh hey, look at me jumping on that Falcon and the Winter Soldier trend. This is the Y/N version of my OC fic. Exactly the same but for people who prefer Y/N. Lemme know if you want to join the tag list!
Tumblr media
Bucky stood outside of the door, staring at the wreath of brightly colored fabric leaves, a small wooden sign hanging in the center with the words Give Thanks looping across it.
He doubted there was going to be much thankfulness for him on the other side of the door.
He shifted his weight from one foot to the other.
This was supposed to be getting easier. Dr. Raynor told him it would get easier.
But for someone who hated bullshit so much, she really spent far too much time talking out of her ass. Because this wasn't easy.
Easy would be surreptitiously wiring a million dollars into each of their bank accounts from the HYDRA accounts he still had access to.
Easy would be taking out anyone who had been involved in the decision to give him the order.
Easy would be breaking the damn rules.
The rules aren't meant to make your life easy, James. They're meant to disconnect you from the Winter Soldier. That's the whole point of making amends, isn't it?
He'd give anything to get her damn voice out of his head.
Bucky propelled himself up the front porch steps before he could change his mind. Like he had last yesterday.
He rapped on the front door, accidentally knocking the wreath sideways as he went to pull his hand away. Instinctively, he reached out to right it, centering the sign and taking his hands away slowly to avoid a repeat of the situation. Bucky checked over his shoulder, half expecting Sam's stupid little robot to Zoom into view with Sam cackling and making some dumb quip about metal butterfingers. But Redwing wasn't there. The only other person outside was an old man mowing his lawn in a dingy white undershirt and grey sweatshorts. Bucky's lip curled in disgust before turning back to the door--the sound of locks clicking out of place putting him on alert.
"Hello?"
Bucky blinked, his eyes meeting those of the woman before him. Her eyes were striking, pinning him to the spot and pushing all semblance of thought out of his head.
"Can I help you?"
Bucky blinked, nodding at her. Right. He was here for a reason. Not to stand like some teenage boy who'd just seen the girl next door for the first time.
"I'm looking for Y/N Y/L/N."
"You found her."
He blanched. "You're Y/N Y/L/N?"
The look of vague curiosity that had been gracing features markedly shifted into a look of annoyance. "Believe it or not, Y/N’s come in all shapes, sizes, and colors."
Fuck this. He needed to get out of here. There was no way he could have this conversation now.
"Still want to talk to me?" She asked, eyebrows arched and arms folded across her chest.
No.
Sam's laughter echoed in his head, as if he'd been here to witness the exchange. And that's why he stayed. Out of spite.
He nodded. "My name is James "Bucky" Barnes and--"
"Wait a second," she held out a hand and raised an eyebrow on him. He did as she asked, stopping mid-sentence with a sinking feeling in his gut. "You're the Bucky Barnes?"
He nodded, resigned to the fact that this was going to be his worst attempt at amends yet. "Yeah."
"Well," she breathed, dropping her arms. "If I'd known I was meeting an Avenger at my door, I might have put on some pants."
His eyes ran down from her face, noticing for the first time that she wore a dressing robe that barely swept the tops of her knees. Her bare knees.
His mouth opened as if he had even the faintest clue how to respond to this and then his jaw moved up and down for a new second as if the motion of talking would bring words. While it didn't muster an apology or some other decent thing to say, he did manage to utter a single word: "Shit."
She snorted at the reaction before smiling for the first time and shaking her head. "If you want to come in and wait, I'll go get changed."
He shook his head. "I can wait out here."
She was still smiling. Probably because she realized he was far more pathetic up close. "Suit yourself, but there's eggs inside."
"I'm good," he said, forcing himself to give a tight smile that didn't reach his eyes. She nodded, leaving the door open behind her as she disappeared inside the house--as if he'd change his mind.
He should leave right now. Turn around and come back a different day when he could at least function like a mostly human being. Bucky ran a hand through his hair, scratching the back of his head.
The quick, sharp sound of pattering bare feet broke his stream of thought, as another girl came to the door, standing before him with her hands on her hips. "We were having breakfast, you know," the girl announced, her voice dripping with sass. "Now we have to wait until she's done talking to you. And I'm starving."
Bucky raised an eyebrow. "Shouldn't you be….not talking to strangers?"
"Shouldn't you be eating breakfast?" she countered.
"It's ten in the morning; I ate already."
"We were supposed to have breakfast an hour ago. But Ravi--"
"Rocio, leave Bucky Barnes alone," Y/N's voice called from elsewhere.
Before he could fully process how odd it was for him to use his name, the little girl's hands dropped from her hips and she stared up at him, mouth agape and eyes comically wide.
"You're Bucky Barnes?" she asked, her small voice awed.
He nodded with a deep sigh and another forced smile.
"What happened to your hair?"
"Got a haircut," he shrugged.
She furrowed her brow at him, her little eyes peering intently at his face. He wasn't sure the last time someone had looked him in the eyes this long. Nobody except Steve had looked him in the eyes since he made it out. The corner of his mouth twitched up. She nodded at him, having composed herself so her little face was serious once more. "I like this better."
"Thanks." He couldn't keep the amusement from his voice. He didn't even really try.
A thought seemed to hit her, lighting up her whole face with excitement. "Wait right here. Don't move. Promise."  He nodded again and she raised her eyebrows at him, giving him a stern look.
"I promise," he said, clearly stating each word.
She nodded at him. "Ok. Good." And then she turned and ran into the house, her feet making far more sound than they should for someone of her size.
Y/N reappeared shortly thereafter with a faint smile on her lips, dressed in a copper colored sweater and jeans. "Sorry. You're her favorite."
"She's cute."
What an idiotic thing to say.
"Wish I could take credit," Y/N said, shaking her head. "She's my sister's. I'm just the babysitter on duty."
There were some more sounds of scampering and Rocio was back at the door wearing a long black satin glove, reaching about halfway up her bicep. There were lines streaked across it in gold marker to make it look like it was made of metal plates.
"I made an arm like yours!" she announced, almost whacking Y/N in the stomach as she extended her arm out for him to see.
He couldn't believe what he was seeing. He'd seen Halloween costumes for sale and shirts with one of the sleeves modeled after his arm, and pictures of guys with an arm wrapped in tinfoil. All of them had been with his old arm--his silver one with the red star. The arm that belonged to Him. An arm made to invoke fear.
This was the arm of a protector.
She deserved more of a reaction than a small, breathy, "Wow."
"Will you sign it?" Her eyes got even bigger if possible, and Y/N started to shake her head, bending over to talk to the little girl,  but Bucky stopped her.
"You got a marker?"
"I'll go find one!" Rocio disappeared again, leaving him and Y/N alone on the doorstep. She was closer this time, and he could hear her talking to herself and rustling through different drawers.
Y/N turned her attention from her niece back onto Bucky. "So, why is Bucky Barnes on my doorstep?"
"I uh--when does your sister get home?" he asked, eyes focused in the direction of Rocio's sounds. He swallowed, tearing his eyes away and back up to hers. "I should probably tell both of you...together."
The playful amusement that had been on her face disappeared as she stared at him, as if trying to see inside his head. Like she would want to see what was inside of his head.
"She'll be here around three."
He nodded, saved from a response by Rocio's re-appearance, waving a silver sharpie in the air. She offered it to him, and he plucked it out of her hand, taking hold of her toothpick of an arm in one hand and signing his name on the inside of her bicep. Where she could hide the signature if she wanted to.
Bucky handed the marker back to her as Rocio held her arm out, trying to catch sight of his name.
"Rocio," Y/N prodded, gently.
"Thank you!"  she chirped, before turning and literally skipping back inside. "Ravi--look!"
He liked her.
"That was really kind of you," Y/N said, warmly. "I think you just made her year."
He shrugged.
"Although, I have a feeling that this is all she's going to talk about for the next week," Y/N sighed, shaking her head. "Anyway, Lilly will be back around three if you want to come back then and share whatever secret serious news is it that you need to tell us together." Her voice was teasing, and Bucky's mouth lifted into a smirk.
"I'll be back then."
"Great," she smiled politely. "See you then."
He nodded, wishing her goodbye before turning down the stairs.
So much for getting easier.

Hey I saw that your requests for headcanons are open so if it's not a problem for you I had this idea in my head on how would the Avengers react on reader having pierced nipples(I was thinking about Tony, Steve, Thor, Nat, Bruce, Clint, Bucky, Peter, Wanda, Vision, Dr Strange. If they are too much you can write whoever you want or if you have any idea for anyone else go fo it) And so like I had it in my head as if reader is kinda new in the team and now one really new that until one day she wore a crop top without a bra and they were showing. Like after a bath or in the morning right after she woke up, and the team isn't really fond of her so they aren't making any comments about it, just their thoughts. It's okay if you don't want to or can't write it but thank you in advanced
a/n- Oh my goodness. I wrote this whole fic (I know the ask was for a head-cannon but Inn this case a fic actually felt easier.) then came back to post and realized it's not what you asked for. 🤦‍♀️ I'm so sorry Anon, it's also been months I think that you've been waiting. They're supposed to not like her and it's all in their heads. I wrote it with them all reacting to it verbally, and they like her. Send another ask and lmk if you want me to redo this. I'm going to go ahead and release what I already wrote for now.
Here now - Steve Rogers x Fem reader. (plus a little bit of Tony, Sam, Thor, Nat, Bruce, Clint, Bucky, Peter, Wanda, Vision, and Dr. Strange.)
Warnings - dark(ish), 18+ adult content, nipple piercings.
They’re never up this late, or at least they haven't been since you moved in with them. You’re the new girl still and while they’re all kind to you, you don’t fit in. It’s like they’re a family. They have history together that you just don’t. They’ve been through so much together while you just kinda just fell into it. Literally.
Yeah sure, you have super strength but it’s not something you want. Unlike most of the others, your power was something you were born with. You’ve never wanted to be a hero, you just want to be normal.
One day you were walking home from work while watching some stupid cat tik tok. You tripped and fell into this guy, tanging together with him on the sidewalk. When you looked up the entire avenger squad was running your way. Then you noticed the blood. The guy was covered in it. He had this look in his eyes that felt off. You didn't think, just punched. Your fist collided with his face, giving a satisfying crunch before he could scurry away.
Captain America got to you first and to your surprise chewed you out for your recklessness, it was quite the out of body experience. According to him, you shouldn’t have been on your phone while walking. He didn’t even say thank you or anything for catching the guy. But oh, how it made you feel with him standing over you all big with his muscles and piercing blue eyes. You should have been offended by how he was treating you but instead found yourself turned on.
Knocking out an evil villain made you a target, or so you were told. Your options were to join the avengers or live knowing that someone would probably show up in your life and either kill you or turn you into a weapon. You didn’t have much of a choice but to go with them.
That was a month ago. Since then you’ve mostly tried to stay to yourself.
Today, or rather tonight, you crave ice cream.
The freezer is always filled with all sorts of treats so you’ve made a sort of routine a few nights a week where you sneak out and eat a dessert.
You plop a hefty spoonful of vanilla ice cream into a bowl and bring the sweet treat to your lips, moaning at how good it tastes. Someone coughs and you look up into dark brown eyes.
“Oh, sorry, was this yours?” you ask Sam.
“No, you’re good, keep going.” He says, smirking as he steps back and crosses his arms.
You pause for a few minutes trying to understand what’s happening.
“Where’s Cap?” he asks.
“I don’t know?”
“Woah,” Tony’s voice rings through the air. you look up to see the whole crew walking in sans Vision and his highness, Captain America.
They look at you like you’re naked or something and it makes you feel more and more uncomfortable. Then you realize that they’re not looking at you, they’re looking at your breasts.
Fuck.
You look down and remember you’re not wearing a bra. They don't know that your nipples are pierced, or didn't know. Now they do.
“Hey, what’s everyone doing in here?” Vision walks in and looks around, knitting his brow in confusion. He looks at your nipples but doesn't seem surprised. “I don't understand.”
“I’ll explain later,” Wanda says quietly.
“Apparently nobody here has seen a nipple piercing before.” you say, rolling your eyes.
“It’s just a surprise to come in here and see you showing them off in that little outfit. I should have known, the shy ones are always the ones with fun surprises.”  Tony says.
“You should have heard her moaning a few minutes ago,” Sam chimes in.
You should walk away but your feet won’t move.
“We’re looking respectfully. Wanda says.
“I’m looking a bit disrespectful.” Natasha says. “Sorry, ”
“Why would you do that to yourself?” Bucky asks.
“You can't ask that Buck.” Bruce chides.
“I think I’m going to go to my room.” You finally say, moving towards the hallway.
“You don’t have to leave. I’ve come across many women with piercings, it’s nothing to be ashamed of.”  Thor laughs.
“Yeah, don't leave, stay right there and moan more.” Clint adds.
“Well now she’s definitely going to leave,” Peter says, glaring at Clint. "and she was just starting to warm up to us. I'm tired of waiting for-" He's elbowed by Natasha.
“Children. Actual children.” Stephen sighs.
“Cap’s going to be pissed,” Tony says.
“Why?” you ask, stopping and turning around.
“She doesn't know,” Peter says.
“Know what?”
“He obviously has a thing for you,” Wanda rolls her eyes.
“So?”
“He’s old fashioned, doesn’t like anyone walking around barely clothed, let alone his girl. He gets jealous.” Bucky shrugs.
“We’re also not really supposed to have piercings,” Peter adds.
You slowly back away. “Ok, well this conversation was weird… let’s not do it again.”
You slink back into the hallway and almost reach your room when you’re pushed against the wall. You’re used to being able to push anyone off but Steve is even stronger than you. Warmth pools in your belly as you realize that you feel totally powerless for the first time in your life. Fuck, why does this turn you on so much?
“Did it hurt,” Steve whispers. He brings his fingers to a nipple and plays with it, making your knees go weak.
“When I got it, yes.”
“And now?”
“It… It feels good.”
“Good,” he purrs, groping at your breasts.
He reaches around you and opens the handle, pushing you in.
“You’ll have to get rid of them,” he says frowning.
Fire is ignited inside you.
“You can’t tell me not to get rid of them just because of your stupid sexism.”
“Oh, you misunderstand,” he says “I like them. If it was up to me you’d keep them,”
“Then why?”
“Combat and piercings don’t mix,” he shrugs.
“Piercings or not, don’t wear this outfit out of your room again,” he brushes a finger over one of the piercings. “And yes, I’m definitely being sexist.”
“I-” your breath hitches as he leans into your ear and takes a lobe in his mouth, “But you like it, don't you naughty girl?” He whispers.
You bite your lower lip and flutter your eyelashes. You should say something, anything. He backs off of you and opens your door.
“Welcome to the team,” he smirks before leaving.
