After a quick couple of google searches that yielded no result on a definition for this particular term. I offer my own.

‘Middle magic is a combination of Low (Sympathetic) and High (Ceremonial) magic.’

However, I prefer to think of this practice as Sorcery and is why I define myself as a Sorcerer.

Why Sorcery? It seems to be that popular culture associates Low magic with Wiccans and Witchcraft…

17th January 1574, birth of English Paracelsian physician, astrologer, mathematician, and cosmologist Robert Fludd, Fludd’s occult cabalist philosophy, and hermetic approaches to knowledge, set him in opposition to the German mathematician, astronomer, and astrologer Johannes Kepler, who criticised Fludd's theory of cosmic harmony. Fludd also defended the theory of sympathetic medical magic, especially the healing power of a ‘weapon salve’, the healing of a wound by treating the weapon that made it with the patient's blood, and human fat. In 1618 Fludd proposed the first design for a perpetual motion machine he called a "water screw"; his perpetual motion machine designs were still gaining patents into the 1870s. Welsh physician and herbalist, Edward Bach, believed that sun-warmed dew absorbed the healing power of the plants on which it was found. This is believed to allow the plants to work on a vibrational level, rather than a biochemical level. Flower essences do not target specific physical illnesses, but rather the moods and the negative emotions which lead to their manifestation. A flower essence is a super diluted, solar (or lunar, when appropriate) charged, liquid extract. A flower essence is an example of sympathetic magic, used to aid with emotional pain, i.e., lonesomeness, dread, sorrow insecurity, oversensitivity, weariness, and suffering. Each plant contains a unique energy vibration pattern, and the pinnacle of this energy is the flower. Do you feel particularly drawn to a particular flower? This suggests that you are in need of an innate wisdom, that the flower could provide to you, on a deep emotional level. Each flower boasts its own therapeutic advantages and can target a distinctive emotional state. Following Bach’s original practices, I gather flower blossoms early, while they are still dew-filled, on a clear, sunny morning. I gently place them into a clear glass vessel with distilled water and allow them to solar charge, beneath the morning sun. For night blooming flowers, I gather blooms once they are fully opened, and allow them to charge under the moon light. Preparing the essences in this manner, absorbs the imprint of the flower’s energy, into the water. Once the water is strained, you are left with the “mother essence”. I then preserve the mother essence with equal amounts of top-quality brandy. From the mother essence bottle, I create “stock bottles”, which are further diluted and potentized forms of the mother. The new adaptation of Shirley Jackson's WE HAVE ALWAYS LIVED IN THE CASTLE is fantastic. Spooky dramatic thriller with a ton of rural Gothic stuff happening. This won't be for everybody who loved Netflix's THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE. Quite different. But the screenplay sticks incredibly close to the source material, & the changes made benefit the story. Taissa Farmiga, Alexanda Daddario, Crispin Glover, & Sebastian Stan are all stellar in their roles.
