I saw the Tampax tweet and found it kind of funny. Then i remembered when i was in 6th grade and my friend told me she wouldn't ever use a tampon because her mom said "if you use a tampon, it would technically take your virginity."
Why are we sexualizing tampons for women, especially girls?

For reference, India Willoughby is a transwoman, and therefore male.

In my honest, it’s very inappropriate for Tampax to tweet this. Especially considering part of their consumer base includes children and teens.
I also don’t appreciate my period(and by association me) being sexualized and turned into “I was in them first/I fucked them first” joke. When I’m using tampons, I’m not thinking about how this is inside me before a boy or man’s dick. I’m thinking about whether or not it will catch all the blood.
And the fact tampons are banned in some schools because they’re viewed in a sexual light, and they pull this stunt.
Don’t comment: Non-period havers, people without a uterus, men
