Okay you know what, I’ve held this back far enough

Why I hate canon Kailor sm

Im not gonna tag Kailor on this for obvious reasons plus this is kinda a long post, I don’t mind fanon Kailor mostly because tbh I don’t think it’s really a big thing and most I have seen of it is fine. Don’t read this if you like Kailor and don’t want to hear it bashed

Okay listen, s4 is my favorite season out of all ninjago, but if theres one thing I hate about it the most is Kailor. This ship has always been really annoying to me throughout the show, and I’ve hinted towards that in my blog. But why?

1. It’s basically jaya redone

Kailor brings nothing new or interesting to the table because honestly? It’s literally just the same dynamic as jaya. Socially awkward guy simps for usually unimpressed girl until she eventually caves in and they start dating.

Not only has this already been done before with jaya, but is also completely out of character for Kai to do.

While I admit seeing Kai as a flustered dork is kinda funny, once you realize the context of the situation that they’re in it’s pretty clear that Kai would never actually do this.

Reminder: Kai JUST found out his dead friend is alive and is forced to recognsizle with friends in order to get him back

Usually when Kai is presented in a situation like this, what he normally does is set himself dead first on the task at hand and usually ignores any distractions. He’s mostly distance and seemingly uncaring

((note this is after Zane died and Kai ran away from the ninja because of cole and jays bickering, knowing him he wouldn’t be the most excited to be back. His arc should have revolved around coming to terms with lost friendships due to death or distance but that never happens)).

What Kai DOESNT do is immediately fall head over heels for a girl he JUST meet to the point where even when he sees his DEAD FRIEND ALIVE AND WELL he completely ignores that for a girl he meet less then a week ago

This is something JAY would do, not KAI, Kai is a loyal friend who do anything to save his friends, he cherishes them and would fight god to help them with anything they need, he doesn’t forget them for someone new

It also does skylor unjustice as well, but we’ll get there when we get there

2. It adds nothing to the characters and is otherwise never mention again

You know how bad you fuck up a relationship if the best aspect of it is how it’s rarely on screen

Even considering the fact Kailor is just jayas dynamic, the connection between skylor and Kai feels completely non existent or one sided

Most of Kailor revolves around Kai simping for skylor

They have no common interests, common goals, they rarely actually talk outside of lloyds plan to overthrow chen

The whole relationship feels forced every time it’s brought up because of how disconnected they both are to eachother, Kai only likes skylor because she’s hot and that’s it, nothing else about her is actually interesting to Kai in anyway ((again sort out of character for him in this situation))

Skylor and Kai don’t form any genuine bond with eachother, it feels hallow and empty

Let’s compare this to lava, wait no that would be to easy, let’s compare this to pixane

Pixal and Zane both genuinely like and respect eachother, they both share bonds outside of being robots, they both care about eachother enough to know when they’re uncomfortable or need help

Kailor is barely mentioned past s4 and most of it in s4 is Kai being a creep

Oh yeah let’s get to that

3. It’s really really creepy

Im sorry I don’t find incest jokes funny ninjago, it’s just really uncomfortable and creepy

Hopefully this goes without saying but Kai thinking skylor is hot, figuring out they might be related and no longer finding her hot, and then finding out they aren’t and thinking she’s hot is really weird and creepy

Not to mention scenes like, Kai looking into her room without her knowledge or consent

Or Kai fighting people for her when it’s not necessary

Or him trying to impress her everytime he sees her

This isn’t cute or funny, it’s gross, privacy invading, and overall just very creepy and uncomfortable and most definitely not healthy

Again, this is REALLY out of character for Kai, Kai knows when to back off and respect people’s privacy

Literally the season before this he didn’t get involved in the love triangle probably because he knew that would make Nya’s situation worse

So for him to suddenly become this privacy evading perv is so grossly out of character for him and makes the whole relationship feel off and unhealthy

And finally

4. The whole thing is misogynistic

During this entire thing skylor doesn’t get a choice in the show once, she follows the commands of her dad before Kai tells her not to like her dad and follows his lead.

She doesn’t come to disliking her dad by her own thought, she was told to by Kai

She doesn’t get to do anything that SHE actually wants to do until LITERALLY the VERY END

She’s told by guys around her what she should do constantly, even without her being a love interest that’s just screams misogynistic to me ((Afab speaking anyways))

Everything about her character, down to the way she talks, who she’s allied with, and even sometimes how she looks is determined by male characters

Conclusion

If canon ships were shrek movies then kailor is easily shrek the third, a constant tired unfunny mess that caused everyone to think that these ships were shit ((to be fair Jaya is kinda bad to but at least it tired to get better))

There’s nothing redeeming about it to me, every time it’s viewed in a romantic setting it makes me groan or upset

What’s even more frustrating is how people constantly say lava can’t be canon because of it

Im going to go on a side tangent so you can just skip this part as it doesn’t add any actual substance to my argument

But it’s so frustrating to see people say that

Cole and Kai have had a much healthier relationship and would be a lot better for there characters

But no, this stupid misogynistic creepy ship where one side isn’t even consententing to it half the time is the one that has to stay canon because “it’s what the creators intended”

Lava isn’t the superior possibly canon relationship because it’s gay, it’s superior because it’s closer to a healthy working relationship in show then kailor has been ((fanon lava and kailor doesn’t count here because they’re isn’t any better fanon ship, Im just talking about in show))

But no it can’t be canon and it’s unfair for people to want it to be canon because tommy created this rlly shitty straight relationship for Kai instead

Hyperfixation Corner: A Special | Donkey Does Hyperfixation Corner

who said coping mechanisms were only for tumblr users? tonight, on hyperfixation corner, we're gonna look back on how a single inflatable kept a whole team from going insane over losing their jobs. this is the story of jaguar racing's last semester in formula 1 and donkeydoesf1.co.uk.

✷ context:

before jaguar racing, there was stewart grand prix, the love child of sir jackie stewart and his son paul and established in the 80s as a junior formulae team. stewart took the plunge to formula 1 in 1996, formally debuting in 1997 with the support of ford, who at that point were more than familiar with the business. you see, ford and cosworth were the long-term couple who spent 10-plus years together and you kinda admired them for being able to be together that long and that seriously committed without having the need of putting formal labels on it even though they even had kids.

in this case, the kids were the ford-cosworth family of engines that dated back from 1966 and were responsible for 13 drivers' championships. that way, ford and cosworth were development partners, but such as the couples who ruin the good thing they have going on by getting married, ford decided to put a ring on it in 1998 and buy cosworth's race engine division, as part of their "increased commitment to f1". this also meant that, in order to show the world how much they were committed to it, they went one step further and purchased stewart grand prix, which they planned to properly turn into a prestigious team and a flagship of one of their most valuable brands, jaguar.

the idea was fancy and exciting to all formula fans: they were going to bring one of the most classy, luxurious and well-renowned British car brands to formula 1, making it well known how British and fancy they were by using a very traditional British Racing Green livery, while using a third-party engine and not actually using the title manufacturer's staff, just its name and fanfare... i hope time is no longer a flat circle honestly.

anyway, jaguar flopped hard, never managing to go as further as seventh in the championship standings as much as the people in it made efforts to do better. i mean, these guys had niki lauda as their team principal for a whole season in 2002 and still didn't manage to get much done (in fact, niki spent most of the time fighting people there tbh). ford obviously didn't like how little cost/benefit there was in this as it was incredibly expensive to keep a f1 team that wasn't even promoting ford directly, and after reducing their investments and firing a lot of team staff over the space of 2 years, they formally asked for divorce in 2004, selling jaguar racing at the end of the year. a bit more on that later.

✷ donkey does f1:

while ford spent most of the 2004 plotting to get rid of their wife, the people who actually worked in jaguar were doing the best they could to keep the team running with less and less money and more and more threats of shutting down completely. team morale was clearly very low since as much as they tried, results didn't come and their last podium had been two seasons prior. these people could do with some light-hearted fun, you know? enter donkey.

donkey was an inflatable gifted to those who were lucky enough to get the right ribena bottle - important to note i'm not british and therefore have never seen a ribena in my life - , as part of a promotional action for shrek 2. it wasn't the ultimate prize, as it seems that a real donkey was one people were going for (in reality the donkey stayed in a sanctuary and you'd get to visit it lol). however, it was more than enough for the girlies at jaguar.

i think it's kinda shrekacular tbh

anyway, logically someone down in milton keynes had the habit of drinking more ribena than it should be allowed to - according to my researches, literally any ribena. that shit sounds disgusting - and while they didn't get the real donkey, they got one of the inflatables. according to tim malyon, now head of research of the fia, the donkey got nicked by one of the mechanics who took it with him to spa-francorchamps and had a little garage photoshoot, you know, banter. just to lighten the mood.

while everyone had fun, the big wigs in jaguar's PR thought that this wasn't compatible with the Haute Luxury British Standards of Serious Branding (the earliest mention of this seems to be from October 2004 in The Sun, but I wasn't able to find it. They do cite it on Folha's article from later that year as well I referenced earlier so it's fair to say the mechanics got told off) and banned poor donkey from the subsequent races. however, the guys didn't care and took him to monza anyway, where donkey was involved in even more photoshoots:

the vibes were off, however, on september 17th, less than a week after the italian gp, when ford formally announced that they were going to sell jaguar and cosworth. understandably, people were livid at the situation since ford had spent 4 years bottling everything they could and the conception was in fact that they already knew they would do it but delayed giving team employees a heads up so that they could look for jobs ahead of time. so, donkey became truly a symbol of resistance and a sort of protest from the 300 people in jaguar that could be unemployed by november of that year if no one intervened. not only donkey was going to spend the rest of the season with them, he would be in the world wide web for everyone to see, and thus donkeydoesf1.co.uk went viral. (it seems the website had been created before the selling announcement, but it only gained traction after it).

as the next races went on, donkey started socialising with the rest of the paddock, hanging out everywhere from ferrari to williams - as mark webber would later state, he had been practically in every chassis on the grid. there was even some drama involving a picture of donkey getting eiffel towered by two jordan mechanics that later got pulled from the website. however, since the internet is pretty cool someone uploaded it to webarchive hahaaaa.

note: unfortunately, not all pictures got saved on the webarchive and got lost forever, sort of, but you can see the thumbnails and have an idea of what donkey was up to (he even got to go to the great wall!).

donkey's last appearance was in interlagos, where the jaguar team bid farewell to him as they had greater plans: donkey, who had gained notoriety due to his internet celebrity and sex scandals, would be auctioned on the benefit of Children in Need, a charity headed by the bbc (the british television channel one!!!!). to make him even more valuable, jaguar staff went around asking for drivers to sign it with a 100 % success rate (while michael didn't sign it, it seems the reason was because they didn't ask him to - couldn't find out why :/ it's ok though because even bernie got in on the joke).

in fact, it seems the drivers were so fond of it they were ok with mark bringing donkey along for the end of season class photo session, resulting in a funny moment when michael schumacher was late:

my internet skills end here as i wasn't able to find much on who got to keep the signed donkey. all i know is that someone who claimed they got it (codename Harv) decided to sell it again in december 2005 on the autosport forum. it would be actually appreciated if there were news from this guy as alongside donkey there was a cd with all the pictures taken that were lost with time. if you're out there, current cd owner, let us know and upload those pics! as mark webber said, donkey's relevance went beyond just a gimmick:

"he's been with us since spa but he's part of the team and of the factory (...) we're trying to deal with it with a smile on our faces and we gotta go out with the best result possible"

cosworth racing was sold to gerald forsythe and kevin kalkhoven, who had also recently adquired CART and turned it into the champ car series. cosworth's last venture as a supplier for formula 1 was in 2013, far away from its glory days. and jaguar? well, they became a little known team called red bull racing. bit cheap for such a High End British Brand if you ask me.

Yeeaaah… so this ended up turning out longer than I intended… but it’s a theory I felt like sharing nonetheless. Hopefully tumblr doesn’t eat this & if this is too long or odd to answer… don’t worry, I understand. I just wanted to share while it was in my head, ya know? So: Long Post Warning!

I am not 100% caught up on every chapter yet, but I do have a brief understanding of all the events up til now. So please forgive me if this has been revealed and I just don’t know about it yet.

Bell 🧚🏻 = wind spirit🌬🌪

Salamander (who honestly looks more like a dragon than a salamander so he’s gettin’ the dragon emoji) 🐲 = fire spirit 🔥

Undine 🌊 = water spirit💧

As far as I know, we don’t yet have an inkling of who the earth spirit will be or to whom he will “choose” to contract with.

Tbh, I have a some of feelings about possibilities surrounding the earth spirit…

Bell and Undine are both obviously women and I’m 96.8% sure that Salamander is a boy… but who knows, I also wouldn’t be the least bit freaking surprised if Tabata threw that back in our face and Salamander ends up being a girl like in Shrek (and on that note, I just need to ask, in Shrek 2 when Shrek and Donkey drank the Happily Ever After Potion, it’s described as “"Happily Ever After Potion maximum strength. For you and your true love. Drink of this potion and bliss will be thine, happiness, comfort, and beauty divine.” This stuff turned both Shrek and Fiona human while it turned Donkey into a pure white stallion… am I the only one that still gets peeved we never got an answer on wtf that stuff did to Dragon??? Or how it would’ve affected their dragon donkey hybrid babies??? That’s the only thing that irks me about Shrek 2… okay, whew, now that I’ve gotten that out, back to Black Clover theorizing)

Going by the assumption that Salamander is most likely a boy, it would stand to reason that the earth spirit has a good chance at being male as well like 2 female spirits, 2 male.

Salamander’s inspiration obviously comes from dragon lore, I can’t find one singularly specific mythology reference Tabata would have based Salamader on so I’m guessing Salamander is based on dragon lore.

Bell has, for the most part, 2 inspirations Tabata based her on. The main one being Sylphs have power over the skies and air. They've been delineated to have control over the wind and the clouds, and even have the ability to purify the air and control the weather itself. Sylphs are not officially from a specific type of mythology, but if they were to be categorized they’d qualify as European folklore, same as Undine and Gnome which will be explained a few bullet points later. The second and most obvious (my fav of the 2) inspiration Tabata drew from for her character is Tinkerbell; from the blond hair, green dress, gets pissed when male partner pays attention to any female that isn’t her, yeah no denying she’s based on tinkerbell; my guess is Tabata combined her with Sylphs wind magic because it was Tinkerbell’s pixie dust that Peter, the lost boys, and the Darling children used to be able to fly. “Faith, trust, & a little bit of pixie dust” (Which is even more perfect because, even if he doesn’t show it, there is no one else in the series that has more faith & trust in Asta than Yuno does… Yuno’s infinite faith/trust in Asta both drives their rivalry forward and, by this logic, is one of the very reasons Yuno can sore so high🥰).

Undine is the only spirit character, for now, that is directly based off of a real water spirit in European folklore (again, even though Sylphs technically qualify to be categorized under European mythology, as far as I know, they are not officially categorized as such which is why I say Undine is the only one) - “Undine, also spelled Ondine, is a mythological figure of European tradition, a water nymph who becomes human when she falls in love with a man but is doomed to die if he is unfaithful to her.” Being that Undine is described as being able to take human form when she falls in love with a man *cough cough* Ariel *cough cough* Black Clover’s Undine’s background states that she made a contract with the first queen of the newly formed Heart Kingdom and has thus stayed loyal and made a contract with every Heart Queen since. Maybe she fell in love with the father/brother/husband/male-figure associated with the first queen and since the queen is the predominant ruler of the heart kingdom - Undine made a contract with her to be close to this man while knowing he could/would never be hers… she wouldn’t die if her love is one sided… if her love is unsaid and unrequited then anything this man does with another woman isn’t considered being unfaithful.. and maybe she’s maintained contracts with every Heart Queen since out of sheer devotion, loyalty, and love to that original man whom she took human form for. Or she was in love with the first queen and has made a contract with every queen since out of sheer devotion, loyalty, and love not on just for that first queen but every one of her descendants. Who knows?

Tabata’s mythological references (demonology excluded because that a whole other thing) for the most part mainly circulate around Greek mythology, Norse mythology, and European folklore.

Going based off of Undine (and Sylphs) , there’s a strong possibility that this yet to be named earth spirit will possibly directly based on, even if only slightly, someone of those three categories above.

Greek mythology, I find somewhat unlikely seeing as there’s no official male god of earth in Greek mythology. There are deities that have roles related to the earth yeah… but no god surround the earth itself or the element itself. The closest thing to a god of earth in Greek mythology is Gaea - goddess of earth. Simplify it to god of dirt and still the only result is Demeter goddess of agriculture (which seems similar to Mimosa in some ways but I don’t think she will obtain an earth spirit because I think the earth spirit will have more to do with mineral earth than plants and agriculture). If there is to be any inspiration drawn from Greek mythology in terms of an earth spirit, but even this seems a little unlikely, my guess would be possibly some characteristics from Satyrs seeing as they are the male equivalent of nymphs - what Undine is technically classified as.

Norse mythology seems a bit more, but not by much at first, plausible in terms of gathering reference for an earth spirit. It probably wouldn’t be the Norse God of Earth Jörd because she is still technically a goddess and mother of earth like Gaea. However, Norse mythology does have a deity of rocks - Hrungnir is a jötunn (a type of entity contrasted with gods and other non-human figures, such as dwarfs and elves. The entities are themselves ambiguously defined, variously referred to by several other terms, including risi, thurs and troll). There is also one more Norse aspect that goes along these lines - Dvergar or Norse dwarves are entities in Norse mythology associated with rocks, the earth, deathliness, luck, technology, craft, metal work, wisdom, and greed.

Norse mythologies depictions of both jötunn and dvergar tie into the third category of European folklore’s depiction of earth deities/spirits. In European folklore, Gnome, is a dwarfish, subterranean goblin or earth spirit who guards mines of precious treasures hidden in the earth. He is represented in medieval mythologies as a small, physically deformed (usually hunchbacked) creature resembling a dry, gnarled old man. - this description is similar to that of jötunn/dvergar and also ties into Charmy being revealed as part dwarf which will most likely be explored in a later arc.

Tbh, I picture this guy’s personality being somewhere between Grumpy from Snow White, the grumpy but well-meaning and wisecrack Lorax, and Phil from Disney’s rendition of Hercules… (not only does imagining this type of personality have me laughing… imagining the 2 most whom I find most likely to be chosen by this earth spirit… imagining them being partnered up with this personality has me near cackling😂)

As for the 2 whom most likely might be the “chosen one” of this earth spirit?

Even though he is technically described as being Arcane in terms of his magical attribute, Mercury is by definition “a naturally-occurring chemical element found in rock in the earth's crust, including in deposits of coal.” So mercury is naturally occurring, derived from earth, and the fact that it can come from deposits of coal ties in perfectly to the hypothesis of this earth spirit/deity being along the lines of dwarves which (not JUST in Snow White) are heavily associated with miners in various mythologies and folklores. So even though technically classified as being arcane, I do think Nozel has a strong possibility of being chosen by the spirit of earth (+ it would make for an EVEN MORE epic rivalry between Nozel and Fuegoleon if they both have an elemental spirit) (++ based off of how dwarves are depicted in mythology and based on how I decribed how I think this guy’s personality will be, I can see this guy as wise/rational but also getting grumpy/irritated easily with a short fuse and just imagine him getting irritated and kicking Nozel in the shins when when he doesn’t communicate his feelings properly & almost always kicks Solid/Nebra/Augustus in the shins when he says something he shouldn’t have - omg this guy’ll be a hoot!!🤣)

The second possible “chosen one” of this earth spirit could be Sol. Not only is she 100% raw earth magic but I also feel like it would balance her out a bit having a male spirit attached to her and that’s where the wisdom side of the Lorax/Phil could kick in and help her not only improve as a mage but also as a person helping her not see things so one sided. You notice, even though the Blue Rose Knights are an all girl squad… Sol is the only one that goes to that much of a degree in despising men; everyone else on the squad detests men on the surface but for the most part not truly. Charlotte keeps up the façade of detesting men to both appear strong for her squad ladies but also to mask her own insecurities. Sol, while she has gotten a little better since her initial introduction, is the only one who barely tolerates men… the only one who’s depicted as not having a façade and genuinely detests all men with a few exceptions. Having a male spirit like character who does not take her BS (*shin kick💥*) but also offers her wisdom and guidance that helps her grow as a person would be phenomenal for her character overall.

I find Nozel to be the more interesting outcome (NO! not just because I’m a Nozel simp… who told you that? They lie) but either of these characters would be interesting and could improve drastically in character development and as a mage having someone like this joined at the hip.

I'd like to platonically kiss you on the mouth (with your consent ofc, because consent is a big thing on this blog), because I love this. Okay the Fue simp in me was hoping to have more of him, but in the end I didn't even mind. And can I just say that I love, lovelovelove the idea of Nozel getting the Elemental Spirit of Earth.

The theory is made *so* *much* *better* by the mental image of him (supposedly 'him') being a Lorax/Phil (from now on, let's call him Phorax). Because can you just imagine this duo?! Nozel, our lovely tsun-tsun who is in need of a big, warm hug and therapy. (Like Nozel, sweetie, I know that there aren't many therapists around, but you need to talk to someone.)

I'm also thinking that since it's probable that there'll be the 2-2 divide between boy/girl spirits, because I kinda agree with you on Sal being a boy (I'm aware of Shrek 2, but unfortunately I have no answers, but I laughed *so hard* while reading that), if there'll be a divide between the Spirit forms that have wings. Because I can't see the Earth Spirit giving a flying Spirit Dive form.

I mean, what, everyone else, aka the rest 3 spirit owners can rise to the skies and then Nozel is left behind like a plucked chicken? (I'm so, so sorry for that comparison, but ain't no one leaving him behind! Nozel. Needs. To. Be. Included.) I don't think that's fair. So, it could very well be that the two else give a "grounded" Spirit form, and Bell and Undine give a flying form.

Aaaanyways... I do like your theory/thoughts on how Undine came to be. And I could very well see that to be canon.

I, honestly, have nothing further to add at this point. Because this is brilliant. I love this.

But Tabata please, give us a tiny bit more lore. Please? A pretty please

Unpopular opinion: I feel like John has been given way more attention or credit for his solo career. Not that he didn't deserve it (cause I LOVE him), but compared to the other 3, I think he got more popularity and recognition. Everyone I know knows The Beatles, but they can only name John, the give peace a chance, round glasses, Imagine guy, and they have no idea who are the others members nor their contribution to music, and so on - and that kind of bothers me tbh. Do you have the same impression?

As someone who has recently gotten into the Beatles but always knew a lot of their songs before: when it came to solo careers, I basically knew Imagine and that was it (like, the reason I knew Live And Let Die is cause of the Shrek The Third soundtrack fkdkdksk) So yes, in that sense, I agree.

I feel like a LOT of this is down to John dying and Yoko cultivating a very marketable image for him, which has stuck almost more than his Beatles era, from an imagery perspective (aside from maybe his Sgt. Pepper cover look).

Like, I agree with you, but on the other hand, John's HUGE legendary pop-culture icon status is also kind of shallow and doesn't stretch beyond two or three songs. They've all been pretty flattened in that sense, but John's untimely, tragic death allowed for more space for him to be remembered separately.

First impression - i think i started watching him around one life 2.0, and i was instantly like 'youre a little insane /pos' dksbfhjdb

Idea for a story - ok so I’ve been playing around with an alsmp fic idea kinda exploring his relationship with Lizzie and her deaths in there. Like, he was there for her first death, and if I tie it in with my other fic I wrote then her second death was after a conversation with him where she ran away, her third death was because someone wanted to target Joel, and he stayed away from her entirely for her fourth life but she still died and I kinda just wanna explore that tbh.

Random opinion - I went back to look at his old videos and oh my god. The shrek skin is so weird to look at now I’m so glad he changed it fjsjbfng

Okay friends and enemies and all of those in between. It's the last smash character and Papa Sakurai literally is saying even if you don't play smash you need to watch this. Okay so this must be the biggest character to be added to smash, so I'm going to give a couple of predictions and for why.

My first guess is waluigi, literally just for the meme that alot of people want him in smash and I'm in that bandwagon of people

My second guess is a third party mascot character and honestly I can be anything at this point because every rule we had from the smash ballot has been broken so I'm going to spit ball a few at once

“What’s Up Danger”

(Saved to Fanfic Inspiration playlist now. WHY HAVE I NOT CLICKED TO LISTEN TO THIS SONG BEFORE?!?!!? Thank you.)

I’m imagining the moments before Modern!Reader actuals starts making a getaway and leaving the human capital of Alagaésia. Confident Reader that goes into stealth mode through the city. It is not easy when the unexpected happened the night before. It is no longer safe for Modern!Reader to remain, so gotta make a plan to get out and passed guards. Thankfully Angela is willing to help, but there is a point where Reader no longer has Angela’s help once passed the guards.

(third listen) Modern!Reader strutting their stuff with a bow in hand. Then Modern!Reader walking through the capital city in Alagaésia without major worries because they know that they can not be roped into the politics and *bobbing head to song* know that they will say ‘no’ to Nasuada herself if given an order.

(I don’t know what they’re singing, but it’s chill.)

I’m imagining a montage of days where Modern!Reader is dragging their feet back to their room in the hall of Dragon Riders. Just tired. Happy, but tired both physically and emotionally. Like they know so much about things they can not speak about there.

Uh, oh, I’m starting to picture Eragon starting to crush on the Modern!Reader. The longing looks hidden behind curious questions. I’m talking, Eragon finding little excuses, that are quite good, to talk with the Reader.

Now I have the song “Wherever You Go” in my head (I made me a peanut butter sandwich) …such a good song.

“Running Up That Hill”

Angst. Modern!Reader being too overwhelmed with their own feelings and having to deal with Eragon’s. So Reader just makes sure to spend time on their own to collect themselves without anyone and that bothers Eragon and makes him antsy because he’s having to deal with knowing that ‘yes’ he wants to spend more time with Reader. Eragon needs to understand why Reader needs him to either commit to his feelings or…well…just make a decision on his own and not dance around feelings because that effects others.

“Swan Lake, OP 20 Act 2”

*thinking* Don’t think of dancing. Don’t think of dancing. Don’t think of da—

Eragon all sure-footed going down a rocky path or side of a mountain to go reach the Modern!Reader who is just doing their own thing and walking around in the woods. Is there danger? No. But Eragon’s mind can be dramatic where his emotions are involved. Must speak to Reader! Chill, Eragon, you’re fast remember.

“Accidentally In Love”

Okay, first thing that comes to mind is Shrek 2 and the songfic I did for a Power Ranger. :D I love this song.

“What’s the problem, baby?” “I don’t know. Well, maybe I’m in love.”

OMG! Eragon freaking out because he realizes that it is more than a crush or a major crush that he has on Modern!Reader. Sunlight hitting the Reader’s face at just the right angle and he just melts. Montage of Eragon efforts to spend more time with Reader and trying to do cute things. THEN secret relationship scenes! Secret hand holding when sitting around a campfire with others. Nose nudges!!!

“This Woman’s Work”

(*song starts* Am I gonna cry??…)

Modern!Reader holding Eragon’s head to their chest because he needs comfort. They both just need time to process past events, even if it was years ago. Tears.

1. Name 4 fictional characters who showcase your personality the best, with explanations if you want.

aah this is hard okay so first and foremost peter parker. he’s one of those characters that have always been relatable in almost every aspect of life since i was a kid, especially when it comes to how he deals with his feelings and like his emotions and humor and his problems in general?? and then also jake peralta also because of feelings and how he tries to avoid them and be all!! fun fck yea!! and humor and idk?? also i love amy santiago so... third i think is percy jackson bc no thoughts head empty and he is impulsive and also brave and i would like to think that i am brave?? and yeh im trying to make this as short as possible and only vaguely explain but. it’s not working ksdfjbv okay fourth character is stiles stilinski ig?? like sarcasm and humor again, and idk this is all repeating but it all comes back to how he deals w his feelings and guilt and problems and idk the reasons are mostly the same with all these characters and yea there’s more but i feel like i am talking too much so i will stop skjdbvjk

uhh i’ve only listened to hamilton which had some really cool beats! ive also listened to a few songs from dear evan hansen, wicked, mean girls, and oh now that i think about it i’ve seen the shrek musical on netflix and 10/10 phenomenal in every way that’s my favorite one

i know i’ve gotten compliments but for some reason i cant remember any?? like the second i read this question my brain went whoosh. idk probably whenever people tell me im funny or notice that im keeping my cool in a situation that is very NOT cool?? idk i really cant think of any rn jdfsbksdjb but there have definitely been compliments that i have thought about for weeks bc i was like....omg? me? kinda sad that i dont remember them i really hope i do soon bc i wouldnt wanna forget smth like that sjkdbdvhsb

i don’t think i’ve ever been in love (at least romantically)? im not certain but im 90% sure i haven’t. but when it comes to friends and family, sososos many times i lvoe them all

uhhh i got pantsed in like grade 7 bc i was being dragged across the floor and then this 9th grader came up to me in the middle of the hallway and yelled “HEY I SAW YOUR ASS” i wanted to perish

first one is my school posted a picture of me graduating on their facebook and my mom sent them the link to look at it and when they pressed on it they started replying to my mom thinking it was on whatsapp but they left like 7 comments on the school’s post in arabic so that was funny as fukckjdbf, second is atla bc i love that show and everyone is so precious, and number 3 is literally any conversation with any of my friends

i plan on going into chemistry!! i might also minor in computer or environmental science, but i’m still undecided! crazy because up till a few months ago i had zero idea what i wanted to do and my plans kept changing like every week

probably my denim jacket or my really big red sweatshirt? idk tbh i really only buy clothes that i know i would feel myself in and that i would be comfortable, but i think those two are probably my favorites?

I’m letting the first draft of my last WIP sit, it’s going to need a lot of work seeing as I wrote it in 12 days, so I need to rewrite with a completely clear mind.

So I’m working on another idea from my ideas book.

The original idea involved a family of three siblings and a prophecy which involved two boys saving the world from something (honestly, I’m feeling evil spirits for some reason.) Apart from that I’ve not done much more planning.

So the middle sibling, who is the twin of the eldest is left out because they were born a girl. So the eldest and youngest are trained their whole life for this big event, which they’re not sure what it is.

The middle sibling is just kind of dragged along to training mainly to be a punch bag, like their parents are shitty tbh.

The youngest of the siblings really doesn’t want to be involved in saving the world, he wants a nice quiet life without any trouble. He’s shy and not really fighting material, but his parents think (hope) that he will be the brains of the duo.

It was originally going to be about this girl who is branded a problem child because she knows she’s invisible to her parents so wants to kind of push them to see how much she can get away with ( a lot)

But something didn’t feel right. So I did something I promised I would never do, I made the middle child a trans guy. (for those that don’t know, I’m a trans guy, before I start getting hate for this)

(You can see where this is going, hold on with me)

So Damien (his chosen name and the only name he will go by in the whole story) is introduced in the story by setting fire to a science lab in his college. His twin, Kieran tries to stand up for him, but the head just knows it was Damien. I haven’t got a name for the youngest, but I’m thinking around 10-13.

The twins are 17. I wanted an age that wasn’t too much over 18, but wasn’t exactly a child. I’m considering having the twins turn 18 during the story.

So Damien has already come out, is living as a boy, there will be no coming out. He will have a legal name and title change, but won’t be on hormones yet.I don’t want this to be a coming out story. I want this to be a character that is already socially transitioned. His parents were like ‘okay, do whatever’ pretty much because their focus is on the other two.

Now Damien isn’t a hero. He doesn’t want to be a hero tbh he is a bit of a shit. But I’ve had to decide beforehand his morals.... how far would he go? What would he do and not do?

One thing I’ve decided is that he won’t lie. Here’s a paragraph from my first draft of a chapter.

Damian didn’t say anything. He was many things, but he wasn’t a liar. He may not exactly tell the truth by freely offering up information. But he wouldn’t tell a lie. He had enough of people lying to him his whole life. If he could stay silent or twist the truth in a way so he wasn’t lying but wasn’t telling the whole truth, like Pinocchio in the third Shrek movie, then he would. But he refused to straight-up lie.

If asked straight up something, he will answer because his parents lie to him a lot and he knows how shitty it can feel. This is probably going to get tricky, because he may have to decide at some point whether to lie to someone or if to tell the truth.

I’m also probably going to make it so he won’t bully anyone, he may be an arsehole to everyone, but he won’t be a bully. He also won’t do anything to serious injury someone (nothing other than maybe a bump and a bruise).

He is going to be a character some people love and others will hate.

Back to the storyline, obvious the prophecy is linked to the first two boys in the family (I’m going to make it so it isn’t like the first two born males, it’s going to be worded in a way that makes Damien fit it). While the youngest is over joyed at not having to fight anything, Damien is like ‘fuck’s sake’ because he really isn’t a hero. His parents will be like ‘we fucked up.” and will try to be nice to Damien because now the twins are going to bring great pride onto the family, but Damien is like ‘fuck no’ to them.

Maybe at the end I’ll have the twins (if they survive) leave home with their younger brother because the youngest sibling really shouldn’t be in the care of their parents, seeing as the parents just cared about the pride it will bring on the family, instead of their children’s well-being.

I’m also thinking that maybe the younger sibling will come along to help his siblings save the world, because he’s trained for it, and even though he technically is let off of the prophecy, he wants to help his brothers.
