Thinking about how, when I first listened to the Lunineers’ Cleopatra album, “Ophelia” or “Angela” didn’t stick with me. Not “Sleep on the Floor, or “My Eyes,” though they’re all in the same vein of ‘sad song wondering about what could have been’

What stuck with me was “Cleopatra,” and especially because of why I was listening to that album — I listened because someone else liked them. Someone else, across the country, liked the Lumineers. So I listened.

Wholeheartedly in the vein of “analyzing and romanticizing my life like a novel,” I think there’s more weight to hear the but I must admit it, that I would marry you in an instant/damn your wife, I'd be your mistress just to have you around than just what they said. they said more to me, with the late for the love of my life, with the when I die I’ll be on time.

But I read the script/and the costume fit/so I’ll play my part.

I’unno. Maybe I’m overthinking. I’m most likely overthinking and adding weight to something that’s just… that. A song. A sad one, but a song. Even so, I like the weight. I’ll always associate “Cleopatra” with that person, not just for its meaning, and also because they love that artist. I’ll associate every single Lumineers song with them because of it.

Maybe that’s okay, too.

Have never watched the original of which “A Time Called You” is adapted from, so have no idea what is the difference between the versions in terms of characterisation/portrayal, but the way Min Ju is portrayed in the Korean version breaks my heart. Her character trajectory is understandable from the POV of a highly introverted, emotionally-intense, “anxious-depressive” and socially awkward girl who is trying to make her “dreams” come true vis-a-vis her long-time crush, ignoring the fact of imminent dangers forewarned.

It is tragic yet so realistic in its depiction of a young person’s - in her case in particular but of course issues which happen across ages - distorted outlook in life. Han Jun Hee is a confident, outgoing working professional in her 30s (her brighter personality notwithstanding, the life experiences between a teen and a woman in her 30s touched by grief is unimaginably large), and the contrast between an insecure teen and her is a wide gulf.

In a sense, I assume the age difference in the characters themselves between the Taiwanese and Korean versions would be noticeable in how the tone of the characters and narrative would be set. From a fan comment, I suppose the vibes/moods and portrayals between the versions differ, which is simply natural, and I would state, desirable. No point in making an exact copy of an already fantastic existing work (which is not really achievable either).

It is actually wonderful to be given different interpretations and portrayals of the same basic premise. It just means there is more to enjoy, and perhaps a/another favourite.

Jeon Yeo Been really performed both roles brilliantly, especially in the final last episodes. Both characters are easily recognizable from each other, and my heart just breaks for Min Ju and her misguided naivety and desperation. I took a peek of the finale and expect the ending would not be tragic, but I truly hope Min Ju gets her HE. She truly does deserve the world even if she did not feel she does.

Because by the end, I am much more invested in the “love story” between Min Ju and In Gyu than Jun Hee and Si Heon. 😅😆

Edit after completing the show: I enjoyed the ending but certainly wished we got a bit more updates on what happened to the characters, especially Min Ju and In Gyu. I suppose there is always headcanons.

every time i have to do a vision fields test, im the epitome of the this is great. im going to get a good grade in therapy peripheral vision, something that is both normal to want and possible to achieve tweet

except its not great because theres just long gaps where im not seeing any dots so i really dont think im going to get a good grade, and also this is relatively normal to want because losing peripheral vision is not typically a sign of healthy eyes and its possible to achieve by seeing all the dots and pressing the button to register that youve seen them, which again, i dont think i have.

oh and also, i havent got a bad grade in peripheral vision for at least a year so all of this stress is completely pointless. its like collateral damage from an accident that hasnt happened.

Hi guys,

We are starting this week off with a brand new product from Rare Beauty! I adore everything from Rare Beauty whether it's the branding, the products or the message behind the brand. I usually wear Rare Beauty when I want to wear more natural looking makeup compared to my more heavier full coverage makeup.

Today we are chatting about the brand new Soft Pinch Luminous Powder Blushes,£26.00! If you didn't know Rare Beauty has become known for their pigmented liquid blushes. Last year there was a viral trend of beauty influencers mixing the Rare Beauty Liquid highlighters with the Liquid blushes to make a glowy blush formula. Selena said that she saw this trend everywhere and went back to the Rare Beauty team to make a glowy powder blush for everyone to use. Honestly Miss Gomez is amazing at listening to when her fans want and using her beauty brand to make the products.

Now this is the first powder blush formula from Rare Beauty and as I mentioned it's a luminous formula so if you don't like a glowy blush I would stick to her liquid matte formula instead. On Space Nk they describe the blush as a " feather-light, so it gives the most natural and flattering look effortlessly. Its silky powder texture feels comfortable against the skin, while durable pigments provide an uplifted look all day long". I decided to play it safe and get the lightest shade in this collection called Cheer! Cheer is a gorgeous soft pink shade on the cheeks but you can build up the formula if you want a more intense glow.

I've been using this blush for 2 weeks now and I adore this formula. Every time I use the blush I feel like it gives my skin the flush of colour it needs to perk up my fair complexion. I'm really glad I got the shade Cheer because the other shade I was looking at was Happy but when you look at the tutorials they aren't drastically different so I'm happy with my choice. If you are looking to buy these blushes I would recommend shopping through SPACE NK as there powder products typically don't get damaged in transit because the pack them really well (at least in my experience anyway).

Hi hi look I made a thing!!!

It took one thrift-store pajama shirt, a heavily modified teddy bear pattern, two jugs of milk, a youtube video on sleeve patterns (thank you youtuber Kim Dave), and several weeks worth of trial and error on remnant bin fabric before even daring to touch the main goods, but I have created my very own Fluffy Prince.

Not for sale, but I’m gonna make another one for my brother and was thinking of taking pictures for a tutorial as I do that.
