yknow, i've said before i don't know what my favorite Nico scene is cause i like a lot of them, but i think the top two are probably Nico being introduced with "You can take your great army and shove it up your ass" and him killing Bryce Lawrence and the line of "That word ['please'] didn’t make sense to Nico. The Underworld had no mercy. It only had justice." because those two lines are core tenets of Nico's character to me.

He will tell his first monster to go fuck themself as a ten year old actively being kidnapped and he operates on a moral system based on the laws of the Underworld, not based on mortals. and that is so fascinating.

actually this is a lie the third top Nico scene is in BoTL, Nico's conversation with Minos where Nico goes "You're talking about murder" and says Murder Is Bad and Minos says "You'll learn differently as you get older." purely because that to BoO when he kills Bryce - character development. He's okay with murder now. Interesting that Minos was correct. Love that for him.

Gods, I'm going feral over the friendships on OUAT. the ones we could've had. especially for killian

belle and killian. ESPECIALLY after after the frozen arc. bonding over their hate for Rumple, Belle realising killian was right, forgiving him, killian forgiving himself, bonding over books. killian telling her about his travels.

robin & killian. learning about the modern world together. going through relationship woes together. double dates with CS & OQ. both being outlaws and anti-monarchists while dating royals. the honour and good form that keeps them both in line.

regina and killian. both villains, both trying their best to redeem themselves for the sake of loved ones. fearing that their happy endings will never come (or that they'll lose them). fearing that their misdeeds were so awful they can never atone for them. supporting and keeping each other from relapsing. they both understand the pull of the darkness, ESPECIALLY when darkness plays on your grief and loss of loved one. they both had to put on personnas of power (Queen, Captain) in order to hide the broken mess underneath.

bigger emphasis on Killians' relationship and parallels with David. especially the whole brotherhood notion. Killian's relationship with Henry and how they both helped each other grieve Neal/Bae's death.

usually nothing . That’s kind of a big deal. in the 80s/90s they’d (reluctantly) celebrate Christmas with carole and bradley (who took that shit kinda seriously) so they wouldn’t really do anything by themselves. Maybe go out for a nice clandestine dinner just cause. After Carole dies and Bradley’s papers get pulled from the academy, ice’s low key newfound interest in celebrating christmas is one of his many many ways to try and normalize relations between him & maverick and try to improve their relationship in the conspicuous absence of the rest of their family. but yes he does make an effort—as does mav—to take advantage of holiday time to be with him as often as possible so, though their schedules don’t always line up, after 2006 they spend about 3/4 xmases together

Ice has very few hobbies besides a.) lovingly working on his cars & plane and b.) reading, so he is exceptionally easy to shop for (as most hobbyless men are): nice tie pins, cufflinks, those unnecessarily expensive hardcover books about weird random topics you find in airport bookstores, fountain pens, nautical /aeronautical themed paperweights, nice leather watchbands etc. highbrow rich guy stuff

Maverick has sooooo many stupid little hobbies that each last between 4-6 months so he is ridiculously hard to shop for— “i thought you were into woodworking so i got you some tools :)!” “uh no that was in April. im trying to learn how to make wallets now” :( so mostly if ice ever gets him anything it’s usually just an expensive dinner date in the city or cash in a blank card or a blank signed check for airplane parts for the next year. any and all gifts are given with extremely little fanfare PLEASE don’t make it a big deal… hidden around the house with a little “merry xmas!” note attached, or shoved into each others suitcases pre-leaving-for-navy-reasons, or unceremoniously dropped into one’s lap while he’s watching tv, “here you go,” “oh, this is nice, thanks!” Et cetera. love language of gifts/acts of service, but, like, very quietly.

There are SO many cool interactions and lore things we can look forward to now that Rubius says he'll come back to QSMP (not only as an angel / demon, but potentially as a human too!), but that little detail reminded me of something:

Even though q!Vegetta and q!Rubius were mutually interested in each other wayyyy back in the beginning of the series, as an Angel / Demon, Rubius said he can't have relationships with humans because it's against the rules.

But a bit ago on stream, Rubius said that he's thinking about having a "human" side so he can build and do more things on the server as a regular player. I'm excited because this means he can have more casual interactions with people and we can see him interacting with his friends more (and he can experience The Horrors), but also...

I think we're in for some very interesting drama in the next few weeks.*

* ( Assuming Rubius doesn't get harassed off the server by toxic shippers and weird fans of the Eggs again. Please be nice to Rubius and welcome him back kindly, he's a very cool guy and his character is SO interesting )
