From this WIP ask game

Ohh this is my most recent one I've worked on. I got inspired from listening to the Epic Musical Sagas and have just went with it.

This one is based off of my person choice in the ending of mass effect 3. I felt like my Shepard greatly related to the song the folder is named after. No matter what choice she made she was deciding so many things for so many people that she shouldn't have. And she felt bad. No choice was "the right choice" but she still had to do the most right choice for her and her friends.

Burning. Burning all around her. Burning hair, burning clothes, the sting of burning flesh seeping from her melted skin; it all hits her at once. The sound is gone, the flames are gone, the shake and rustle of the Citadel beneath her feet is stilled. Her disheveled shape, a bright red spot in a world of blue and white, her labored breathing echoing off an endless landscape.

And then, the boy. His eloquent speech reaches numb ears, pain and tiredness pound out the sound as her vision flickers between life and death. "Stop the Reapers." Those few words bring her mind racing back to consciousness, gritting her teeth and walking forward.

"How?"

The little brat smirks, and she wants to rip out his damn throat for it. "There are many ways."

"Tell me, right now." Her voice was the last bit of strength and will she had left, and by God was she not going to waste it on a spoiled AI.

"Destroy them, control them, or become them." Three paths, three choices, but her eyes saw only one. Every ounce of will, power, strength, walk, just walk. You have to do this. No hesitation, no turning back, this was going to be over with, once and for all.

"Wait, what are you doing!? There's more to this than that!"

#book recs #i haven't finished the last one yet but it's been good so far! i really admire these women's resilience and solidarity #some inspiring stories of political activism + insight into aspects of korean history i didn't know about #i wanted to do a half-fiction half-nonfiction list like last year but i've read mostly disappointing fiction this year :( #my favourites were probably kivirähk's the man who spoke snakish & catherynne valente's radiance; though it wasn't as good as orphan tales #i'm reading jacques abeille's les jardins statuaires right now and it's quite frustrating because on the one hand #it's well-written and interesting with original worldbuilding. on the other i'm 300 pages in and there have been #2 female characters. the purpose of both (so far) was to have sex with the male protagonist and only 1 has a name #which makes the read feel less original and more ''same old shit as far as i'm concerned''

Headcanon i've had for a while now about how minecraft hack clients could work, similar to the headcanons about how in game chat would work.

Just sort of an explanation with some examples, obviously some hacks are pretty hard to translate into a physical thing, but i tried my best. :)

"Hack Clients" are illegal modifications of a player's attire (i.e. player skin) in order to give them an unfair advantage. The visibility of a "Hack Client" modification depends on the server a player is on. On servers such as 2b2t, these modifications are obviously visible while on stricter servers, such as Hypixel, hackers will try to be more subtle, often hiding modifications underneath clothing.

Eyewear: Modified for use of visual hacks (i.e. x-ray. fullbright, esp, etc.), the easiest to hide from moderators.

Footwear: Modified for use of hacks such as Anti-Knockback, High-jump, and other similar hacks.

Mechanical Braces: Used to allow players to move with otherwise impossible reaction times, most often used for PVP. Completely illegal on most servers, players will attempt to hide them underneath clothing but often fail.

Leg brace: Used for b-hopping.

Arm brace: Used for kill-aura and aimbot.

These authors have given this phenomenal content for free, baked with time and effort. I have never once ignored this, hence why I try and comment on each and every one of these fics. However, my energy and ability to be verbose differs day to day. Some of these fics I have not given proper comments for, despite this, I will be on it the moment I can be.
