MadPat: - He doesn't really notice either, he just assumes you're a very energetic person - He's perfectly fine with it when you tell him, as long as it doesn't become an annoyance (you could never be an annoyance to him) - Actually grows to like your stims. i'm almost sure it's this post-game show lance leaving fic, because i got comments and asks for weeks begging me to write a happy ending lol. but this fic from the hana universe, from when keith is little and shiro is fighting for custody and they haven't figured things out yet. that one is sad. this dream pov adashi fic is also sad and has no happy ending bc, you know. shiro is in space and adam thinks he's dead and everything. my loneliest series is also still in progress and as such there is no happy ending. and this is my earliest angsty-ending fic with MCD

7. what’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

oh god pretty much everything i write has a happy ending?? if i’m being serious?? frankly i don’t do a lot of linear plot. i just write Scenes that are vaguely connected. BUT my h2o fic had a plot that ended happily, as did my cowboy fic, but truly i’m more of a slice of life kinda gal. all my active wips are plot-driven, though, and i plan for all of them to end happily.

8. do you get hate on fics?

oh god yeah. i get it on brown eyed lance, autistic lance, adhd keith, allura just in general (are you sensing a pattern), my refusal to use readmores, and lately just some demands for me to write differently/more?? most of it is just funny so i post it to goof on it lol, but some of it i just delete and pout about until i forget about it 💀

yes and it’s nasty and i will literally never ever post it. although i guess i’ve written some softer stuff that’s more allusion than anything, like in my loneliest series.

god, the butterfly effect. i get people asking me to update all the time and i genuinely feel bad, because i have absolutely no ideas or plans for it. i might try to come up with an ending of some kind?? but i wrote that like two years ago, so i have changed a LOT about my writing since then.

dialogue and humour, i think. and sometimes writing lack of emotional communication (if that makes sense — i like to try and write around an emotion).

i over explain a lot. and i overuse dialog ur tags sometimes. i have a Very Specific scene playing out in my head and i want everyone else to see it like i’m seeing it, which is my downfall a lot. i’ve been trying to work on implicit stage directions.

18. thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

i think sometimes it’s necessary? it can be a good tool for humour, like with cussing that can’t be achieved in english. but while i understand and read several languages i have always always struggled to speak or write in them. it’s very frustrating so i often avoid the subject entirely lol.

i’ve been writing fanfic in my head since before i knew what it was, but i started typing things at around 11 when i used to homestuck roleplay with my friends lol. messy messy times.

Hi! Sorry to bother you but I thought you could help! So, I’ve recently started wondering if I could be autistic. I stim sometimes, cannot look people in eye, have echolalia, very strong hyperfixations (though not a special interest exactly), and many people (though most don’t know much or anything about it) have suggested I may have it. I’ve recently discovered sensory seeking autism, which I relate to a lot, i also get somewhat frustrated when my routine is broken, and I can do next to nothing if such a thing happens, basically my entire day is ruined, it also definitely frustrates me. (up until now I thought it was just adhd waiting mode but i don’t know). The only thing is, I never really struggled making friends as a kid, which I understand is an enormous part of being autistic. I do however now feel a barrier in between me and my peers, I mean, I do have lots of mates but they think I’m different from them somehow and I agree wholeheartedly. Even younger (though I hadn’t realized this) I was always looking for some perfect friend that’d be different than my friends already, like, someone who understood me fully. Ever since I started high school I’ve always only made friends w people I for sure had to be around or already knew, and never my other classmates (actually I struggled w not being able to connect quite a lot). I’m pretty sure I have adhd and I’m 100% sure I have ocd. Do you reckon I should keep looking into autism, if these are my circumstances? Very sorry for the long ask but I can’t see a psychiatrist or anything close to that and I’ve been wondering. Either way, feel free to ignore.

It’s completely up to you if you want to pursue a diagnosis. As it comes with its pros, and of course, it’s cons.

You can still make friends/socialize just fine. It’s a spectrum, and everyone is different. Some have trouble making friends, while others don’t have that issue.

I have decided that Niffty is a Gemini.

I’m not all that interested in astrology irl – at least not star signs – but it’s a fun way to assign birthdays, and I need one for an upcoming fic.

I originally tried taking this test from her perspective, but it didn’t give me results that matched up with my portrayal of her.

Wound up just googling the signs and manually assigning her one.

Used one site (allure) because I’m not doing a deep dive on Zodiacs for what is essentially a throwaway reference. Here are some choice quotes, and how they relate to my version of Niffty:

I write mostly pilot!Niffty, mixed with headcanons and some series canon. She’s not intentionally two-faced, but she does very much have two conflicting sides to her personality, which she holds in equal measure.

These hyperactive air signs have short attention spans and are most satisfied when they can move fluidly from one idea to the next.

I’ve seen Niffty described as “OCD” before, but I’m not sure if there’s anything to that besides the armchair psych, ‘cleaning = OCD’ thing.

However, as someone with ADHD, I can definitely see some aspects of hyperactivity and attention deficit in her. Specifically, the fact that she seems to become hyperfocused on tasks like cleaning, but is easily distracted in other contexts.

She basically narrates her train of thought on the pilot: *polite and enthusiastic introduction* (manners first) -> It’s been a while since I made new friends -> -> *notices everyone but Alastor is fem-presenting and thinks they’re all women* -> Why are you all women? -> (I like men best) Aren’t there any men here? -> *physically lifts Charlie in search of men* -> *remembers manners* -> I’m sorry, that was rude -> *gets distracted by mess* -> Oh man, this place is filthy! It could really use a lady’s touch -> *remembers that she has (mistakenly) identified all of the hotel’s occupants as women* -> Which is weird because you’re all ladies offense (manners) -> *remembers mess* -> *hyperfixates on cleaning*

Honestly, the Niffty ADHD headcanon should probably be its own post. Moving on!

Gemini expresses emotions externally

hio hio <33 i was wondering which of dostoevsky’s books is ur fav??

mai mai! thank you so much for asking, hehe >:) be prepared for a long rant because I have a strong hyperfixation and none of my irl moots share it. My ADHD is a higher force and I'm powerless when it takes over, I'm sorry baby :(

So, the ones I've read so far are Crime and Punishment, The Gambler, White Nights, Notes from the Underground (my first Dostoy), and The Brothers Karamazov, and I love them all! They're all different, but what I enjoy about Dostoy so much is that a) I fall a little bit in love with the main character(s) every time, but more about that later, and b) his writing is just *mwah* I just think the dialogues are great and surprisingly funny, but what I think I love the most are the characters' inner monologues. They're not that easy to read sometimes, all size 10 font across five pages and one sentence that fills a whole paragraph, but they hit close to home and are so full of depth and meaning and just beautiful to read. I get the impression that considering what a tragic life full of misery he had, Dostoy must've been a really resilient person who knew how to appreciate life and was able to find a lot of beauty in it despite all the darkness, and you can feel that while reading, at least that's what makes his books so special to me. They're dark, but not depressing, I rather find them to be hopeful (not the Demons, though, I dipped my toe into that one and it's gloomy) and often I feel as though whatever I'm thinking about or going through, he gets it!

About the characters, and relating to their feelings a little too much, I first had that experience when I read Notes from the Underground, because the main character embodies some of my own worst traits, making me feel called out, and yet, despite not being a likable person at all, his monologues made me giggle very often, the way he interacts with others is embarrassing to read (and totally not similar to my life at school, no no) but very funny too. I'm not sure if I'm smart enough to understand the full depth of the book, but I enjoyed it and the underground man is my little cranky gremlin and I love him, so that's one of my favs!

It's a close call between Crime and Punishment and the Brothers Karamazov because I'm a slut for Raskolnikov (I have three types of men that I'm into, and he embodies one of them: the antisocial intellectual that would spit on me if he were to stand before me) but I also have a lil crush on Ivan Karamazov (not as much of a dick as Raskolnikov but still out of my league and unapproachable) and the plot of both books is really good and suspenseful, and they deal with the characters' inner lives, are very psychological and philosophical and there's also female characters that I like a lot (and simp for). I'm very undecided because both novels are still unique and hardly comparable in other aspects, but definitely worth reading despite their size being a bit intimidating (pun not intended).

Another fav of mine is White Nights because once again, I relate a lot to the main character (he's a sweetheart, though) and while it makes me a little sad, it's very beautiful! Plus, it's a short story, so less than 100 pages, I think!

hey..... not technically a "fish" but do you want some fun facts about my favorite aquatic animal? I'm hoping you do.

Olms are distant cousins to the beloved axolotl. They are long n noodley. They were discovered in 1689 by a man who thought they were baby dragons. They are not, unfortunately. They're aquatic salamanders.

They are mostly blind, with skin covering their eyes, although they can sense light. They also still have the ability to produce melanin despite living in underwater caves! So they start pink, but can be brown too, and they share the branchy gills of axolotls.

They can go for TEN YEARS without food. They have also been observed to stay completely still for SEVEN YEARS STRAIGHT. lil couch potatoes.

I agree with you anon, I am a fish lover first but I am also an aquatic animal lover and a defender of overlooked animals second. Axolotls and amphibians aren’t talked about too much in the mainstream — though with the appearance of lotls and frogs in Minecraft that has somewhat changed — but olms are mentioned even less!! This is clearly very wrong, as olms are really cool and interesting animals in their own right. They’re like mysterious wise sages, but at the same time reach the kind of silliness that snakes and axolotls and other “no thoughts head empty” long animals have! A hard balance, in my opinion. It’d be cool to make a fun facts comic on them eventually, like I’ve done with Magnapinnas, sea cucumbers, sand dollars and sea bunnies (and some other animals I’m working on).

Sexuality headcanon: This man is as gay as they come. Obviously a big part of his storyline revolves around women, but I've never gotten the vibe that he's into women. The things he says to men ALL the time though...I know what you are...

Gender headcanon: Cis or trans man, either works for me. I've read some really good fics/seen good art of trans Zoro and it makes a lot of sense to me and I enjoy it when I see it, but I'm not really fussed either way.

A ship I have with said character: Zosan forever and always is the OTP for me, and I'm a lot less of a multishipper with Zoro compared to Sanji for some reason lol. I've warmed up a bit on Zolu too but I do still prefer that as more of a platonic soulmate thing, and I know I said I see Zoro as gay but the t4t potential of Zoro/Kiku is quite good too so I'm willing to say he isn't 100% gay because of it.

a BROTP: Him and Chopper are so cute oh my god, the way Zoro acts like a proud/protective older brother to him is really really cute, that's his guy!!! I also LOVE the Zoro and Nami friendship, I think they antagonize each other for fun lmao but I also think they would be really close to each other and have their own special relationship where they can tell each other anything.

A NOTP: Zoro with any woman other than Kiku really, but I know Zoro/Robin is somewhat popular and I don't think I really get it all. I think their relationship/friendship is really interesting especially pre-timeskip where they had to learn to trust each other when Robin first joined the crew, but I think they're just friends who watch each other's backs.

A random headcanon: I'm surprised I don't see this hc more, and maybe it's just me projecting, but this man 100% has ADHD lmao. The way that he gets lost all the time, his hyperfixation on swords and also his dream, his head empty moments throughout the series, how he's somewhat impulsive, and I feel like the meditation/workout routine is how he tries to manage his concentration (also his anxiety).

general thoughts: I absolutely adore Zoro, and he was the one that surprised me the most. I knew about him before starting and thought he would be the "badass and stoic" character that ended up being flat compared to everyone else, and that's just not true. He's SO silly but also has a really good heart and character, that even though he is a loser he is also very cool at the same time. he's more of a simple character but there's still a lot to talk about with him and he's just had consistently strong writing throughout the entire series. I don't talk about him as much as Sanji or maybe even Robin but those three are tied for my fave strawhat.

Sexuality headcanon: Pansexual or bisexual, I think they've lived a thousand years and things such as gender aren't a factor in who they are attracted to. They truly just go for whoever they catches their interest at any given moment in time.

Gender headcanon: Uhhh all of the above lol. Man, woman, nonbinary, no gender, all the genders, whatever they're feeling and however they are perceived is their gender. I think it's similar to the sexuality, you live a thousand years and gender is a construct they abandoned a long long time ago. No matter what I think they're trans though, and all pronouns.

A ship I have with said character: I think every major ship with Kenjaku works for me, and I struggle to pick a favorite. Gojoken, Tenken, Takaken, Kenjin, Mahito/Kenjaku, even Sukuken I find kinda fun lol. If I had to pick one of these, probably Takaken, but I am big Gojoken and Tenken fan so they're close behind.

A BROTP: So the thing about Kenjaku is that they're a cringefail loser and they don't know how to make friends lmao. Maybe Mahito and Kenjaku? I know I put them in the ship category but I think they fit more here, the silliness and horrors they get up to together were a lot of fun to watch.

A NOTP: Hmm I'm struggling to come up with an answer lol. Uhhh I guess the one Heian era character I don't ship with them is Uraume, but I've never actually seen this ship anywhere. Oh I guess if there's any Kenjaku/Yuuji or Kenjaku/Choso I would not be a fan of that either.

Random headcanon: I feel like in the in between time of executing their thousand year evil plan, they sometimes go out every once in awhile like every 20-30 years to engage with human society again and acts like an old man who's never heard of technology lmao. I also think they would say super off putting things that make no sense to anyone like "Man this dish was so much better 80 years ago :(" and the waiter is just staring at this person who looks like they're early thirties at most.

General thoughts: I think they're the most interesting villain in JJK by far, their relationships spanning over a thousand years are messy and mysterious and span far and wide and the small pieces we get are something to theorize on endlessly. I think they are so effective in that they always are doing or saying something interesting/horrific/fun when on screen, but when they are gone that causes more anxiety for the reader. They're a very cruel and inhumane character, but there is almost a melancholic aspect to them too where they have this big plan, but it doesn't even seem to excite them that much. I'm hoping to do a Culling Games reread maybe in the summer mostly just for them tbh.

Yona

Sexuality headcanon: Bisexual but she doesn't know that askhfkl. Obviously she's attracted to men, that's known from the beginning of the series, but whatever she had with Lili....well...I think they had the potential to be more than gal pals given time....

Gender headcanon: Hmm I guess just cis woman. Haven't thought about any other gender for her, and I think that's honestly what she feels comfortable identifying as. If you got any trans/nb hcs for her though I'm open to it.

a ship I have with said character: Have you heard of Hak/Yona....i think they're neat...cool even....yeah most obvious answer lmao but this is really the only romantic ship I like with her (even if Lili/Yona has potential too and I can convince people on the yuri if no other brave soldiers are willing to).

BROTP: All of the dragons, easily. Hak/Yona might be the ship but those five are connected through fate, through lifetimes. it feels like a disservice to pick one over the other even, they all have such a love for Yona and Yona for them, that's found family right there.

A NOTP: I know some people ship Yona with Soo Won and they have maybe my favorite relationship in the whole series, but I just cannot see it as romantic, especially since both have grown so much. Yona's crush at the beginning of the series to me is more "there's this guy I care about a lot, it must be love" and I do think it was/is love, but that's more of a teenager crush that doesn't actually mean anything. Yona loves him, but in a different way from Hak I think.

Random headcanon: This goes more into theory rather than hc, and it may be dreadfully outdated considering how far behind I am, but I don't think Yona will be the ruler by the end of the series (and definitely not Hak for that matter as well). That said I wouldn't be surprised if that does end up being the case, and it would still make sense especially since Soo Won is sick (as far I know), but I feel like her role as this liberator and almost Robin Hood like figure where she travels around to aid people just makes perfect sense for her and the group as a whole. Undeniably Soo Won has been a really good ruler even if he got spot through, you know, murder lmao. Idk I think I need to reread and catch up to really stand by this, but these were my thoughts through a lot of the series.

General thoughts: Yona of the Dawn is my favorite shoujo and for good reason I think, and a very large part of that is how strong of a protagonist I think that Yona is. You see this really compelling arc over the course of the story of her coming of age that I think is really inspiring, where she very much comes into herself fully but also the relationships she develops with everyone are key to her success as well. One of my favorite characters ever go read Yona of the Dawn everyone (<- directed to me who needs to reread the series more than anyone else in the world)

“I say this as somebody with raging ADHD, who spent years building up my attention span and working out methods to help me read more efficiently, because I wanted to read a lot. it took effort, but now I read 100+ books a year.”

As someone with adhd who used to read and now barely can…please share your methods. because I’m really trying here but it’s not working. i’m trying to go to college asap but only books i hyperfixate on keep my interest vs taking months to read short books my brain doesn’t fixate on, and i’m aware that medication and Brute Forcing Myself are not miracle cures so anything helps for real.

the first thing to remember is that reading is like anything you have to build up to. you're not going to go out and run a marathon on the first day you decide to take up running -- you gotta start small and build up. reading is exactly the same. you're not going to be able to sit down and read for hours on the first day, but maybe you can manage ten minutes. the more you read, the faster you get at it, and the easier it gets. start small and build up. there's no such thing as "too little" time spent reading. so long as you're reading, it counts.

secondly, I found it helped to set an amount of time per day that I was going to read. this did not have to be all in one solid block. I bought a simple stopwatch, and I'd start it when I started reading and stop it whenever I stopped. once I reached the time set, that was my reading done for the day. it helped, because my brain wasn't darting around thinking about Other Tasks, because I had set this time as Reading Time Only. if my brain was being a dick, I would simply sit there and do nothing else. eventually boredom would drive me back to the book. I just had to be very strict with myself, and very disciplined. it got easier over time, and eventually my brain began to see reading as fun, rather than a Task. now my minimum hours-per-day reading is 4.

thirdly, if you find something that's hooked your interest, indulge. if you hyperfixate on a subject, read everything you can about it until you move on to something else. if you become obsessed with a certain theme or genre, read a bunch of books that include it. you do not have to make sure you're constantly reading different things, or reading classics, or whatever. read what you like. I recently got obsessed with a highly obscure genre called disaster nonfiction, and so far I've read 33 books in that genre. if something has caught your interest, just go for it. you're reading, you're learning, and you're focused. that's what you want, so let it happen.

finally, remember that you're reading for fun. if your brain is being a dick and you just want to reread a familiar book, or you want to read something light and simple, or you want to reread some of your favourite childhood books, go for it. you don't have to constantly be reading high-brow shit. sometimes I like to just pick up one of my favourite authors from when I was a kid and read a book I loved when I was 9. it's easy, it's familiar, and it's fun to see how I feel about it now I'm older. and it's still reading! don't worry so much about what you're reading, and just read.

overall, though, it is mostly about discipline. this is hard work, especially when you have ADHD, but I am telling you that it is possible if you want it bad enough, so long as you remember to take it slow and build up. you won't get a miracle right away. as I said, it took me years to get to this point. but every second of hard work was worth it, because I love reading and always have, and the years I spent barely reading because of various bullshit are years I consider wasted. do it for yourself, don't sweat if some days you read 10 pages and other days you read 50, and read what you like. always remember that despite the hard work, you loved this once, and you can learn to love it again.

hi! if you've seen this post on another blog, i apologize. i promise it is not spam, i am just trying to find as much information about this as i can with limited resources (and i, quite honestly, do not feel like typing out this behemoth of a paragraph in new ways 50 different times /lh /nm). i'm looking for some advice regarding a relationship issue occurring with my and my partner, and even if you don't have any advice, just reading over it is greatly appreciated. :) so me and my boyfriend are both neurodivergent (i have autism & adhd, he just has adhd) and we both have different hyperfixations right now. i am someone who struggles to communicate when it comes to things i am not fixating on at the moment, that aren't special interests, or that i don't know much about, and currently we don't have the same hyperfixation right now. i'm also experiencing burnout and taking in new information is probably not a good idea right now, including much about their fixation.

mine is one that means a lot to me, and i actually associate a lot with them and happy times with them, but they are starting to associate it with bad times, and while they enjoy it, they don't fixate on it very much, and haven't for a while. they'll make sure that i know that while they aren't as into it anymore, they still love to hear me talk about it. my brain tends to hear that and see it as "i don't like it any more, and i never will again, and i really don't care to talk about it".

on the other end, my boyfriend is fine with enjoying their fixation on their own, but constantly feels as though if they talk about it, they're doing something wrong, and that there will always be a language barrier in between us due to it. they are down and determined to want to just "suck it up" and just throw out their interests all together and just try to make themselves enjoy mine again, but i asked them not to for their own mental health.

we both have trauma regarding people not taking our interests seriously, or not being able to share them in a healthy way, so we're struggling a lot with trying to find ways to communicate and talk with them in a healthy way. we both have the wish that we could just fixate on the same thing at the same time, like we did before with mine, and be happier that way and have less issues, but i'm not sure if that's going to happen for a while now.

i tried looking into resources about this, but as you could probably expect, there are none. so, i'm trying to go around tumblr and ask for advice from fellow neurodivergent people and see if they can help. neither of us want to hurt each other and are aiming to make it equally fair for both of us, but its just extremely hard for us to know how to do that without help. i would reach out to a therapist, or a counselor, and a. i am in the process of getting a temporary counselor, and b. because of my current home situation, therapy isn't a very feasible option at this moment.

i appreciate you taking the time to read this, and i apologize for the garishly long message. i know this probably sounds childish but its a lot of the only things we have right now due to my home situation, so we're trying to find ways to help it as best as we can.

My (as of now) brief story on getting a long furby

I'll preface this by saying I'm not in the fandom nor am I a collector. I really wanted a Furby when I was a kid, was obsessed with the thing, but my parents never got me one for reasons I can't remember rn (either too expensive or too weird)

Fast forward to present day, I was scrolling through YouTube and started to watch a furby makeover at random, because I enjoy arts and crafts. And I suddenly become charmed and mesmerized by the Furby's beautiful physique as I felt their cursed eyes stare at me through the screen.

Now, the way my ADHD brain works is that sometimes it will quickly but strongly become transfixed by a specific object (as opposed to just hyperfixating on a tv show or book like usual), and it overrides every other function in my brain with MUST HAVE IT. And that's exactly what happened in this instance.

So I immediately start to search for ways to acquire my own little guy, which took me to a deepdive on Etsy, eBay and Shopee for price comparing. In this journey I learned about the many different types of Furbys (Furbies?) and, although I would've loved to get my hands on one of the older ones (the face just looks cooler to me idk) I quickly realized that even the cheapest ones would be too expensive for me because of the shipping cost (I live in Brazil). In fact, the younger models were also too expensive, because dollars are just that inflated here, so after a couple of hours...after my entire morning was spent scrolling through listings I had the idea to get one of the tiny keychain-like Furbys (like the ones shown below) since they were cheaper so I could customize them and put it on my car;

Even though I'd originally wanted a long Furby I was fine with this alternative since I like tiny things, and I would be easier to modify.

However. It would seem that the Furby gods did not agree with my assessment.

A few hours before I resigned myself to the keychain idea, I had remembered a cousin of mine who got a Furby when we were children (a memory which came to me easily since I felt extreme jealousy). Even though he's not a kid anymore, I messaged his mom on Instagram in hopes that she was a hoarder much like my own mother, and perhaps would still have her children's old toys somewhere.

And after I had given up on my searching, she responded very positively to my weird question, said she remembered what I was talking about, and that she was pretty sure she still had one around the house. She promptly offered to look for it on that same day, and I thanked her endlessly.

Well, I said to myself, that'll probably take a while and obviously she's not gonna drop whatever she's doing to look for it now, so I'll find a way to keep myself busy and keep my brain happy until I get any news.

EXCEPT, and I shit you not, LESS THAN FIVE MINUTES LATER, she sends me this picture followed by the caption "Look who I found 🖤"

At my many exclamations of confusion, she explained that she kept all of the kid's toys in the same chest, and when she opened it her youngest daughter spotted the Furby at once. I offered to go pick it up and this woman, angel that she is, told me not to worry because she would be having lunch close to my neighborhood tomorrow and could bring it here instead.

So, this is all I have for now. I'll be watching videos on how to handle the 2012-ish Furby and gathering some materials in the meantime. Any tips or guides are appreciated. Wish me luck!

I was out most of the day yesterday, and catching up has been... a lot. :) (I wrote this when I put it in drafts, then promptly forgot I put it in drafts - and here we are MUCH later - I am SO SO SO SO sorry - but goddamn, if this isn't part of my problem. lol)

First, I want to say I truly feel your pain. It is hard for me as well. Though in my case, writing has always been a hyperfixation, for better or worse, so that makes it a bit easier, but not exactly.

At some point, I will inevitably get distracted and just start "drifting," and once I do, it is very hard to get back on track. I actually put little post-its on the corners of my laptop with "You're supposed to be writing" written in colorful ink. They'll catch my attention if I start floating off into Tumblrland, and remind me to go back. Sometimes it works better than others.

Sometimes I ask some fellow creators who are friends to check in on me. To remind me to write if they see me on Tumblr, maybe check in to see how it's going, so it keeps me on task.

But my biggest problems are with having my mind become overactive. Where I can just write, write, write, and it's great - but I start 10 things and at the end will only be able to finish 5. It's frustrating to me, and then that can cause writer's block in certain stories.

I'm still looking for the solution, but I've learned to be kinder to myself about it - and it helps. Instead of "You're so stupid, you can't even finish this. You shouldn't have started this. You look like an idiot." talk, I now say, "You're doing great. Maybe you can't finish that now, but it's OK, you're doing something else. Be proud." it takes some doing, but I got there, and it really helps.

Of course, limiting distractions thing works too... phone away, sometimes writing with pen and paper instead of a laptop to avoid the urge to look at another page.

I'm always happy to chat with you about this if you like... it is a struggle, for sure. Just know you have people who understand. xo

- I'm 5'1 and a half, 24 yrs (so no minors pls), and a bit on the thicker side. White, long dirty blonde hair, blue/green eyes - Bisexual; I have the slightest preference for men, but if I'm crushing, then I'm crushing lmao - A theatre kid, but not a "theatre kid"; I enjoy acting and being on stage, but I'm not like, obsessed with musicals or sing constantly or anything - My favorite animals are owls and foxes - My ADHD makes me either hyperfixate on things or completely forget about everything I needed to do - My hobbies include video games, drawing/painting, occasionally writing, and spending most of my time researching for an OC to draw them but never actually drawing them lmao - I'm a college student majoring in Wildlife Education, with an emphasis in raptor husbandry - I currently work at my campus' nature reserve carving and painting cedar signs - I enjoy nature and being outside, but I LOTHE being sweaty; not to mention I have a HUGE fear of bugs, no matter how small or harmless - Autumn is my all time favorite season, and additionally I adore Halloween - I'm Pagan/Wiccan, though I don't practice as much as I'd like to - I'm always disorganized and cluttered; I lose energy easily so I don't tend to put things away fully or clean often, despite wanting to - On top of that, I'm a very sentimental person, and tend to keep any little trinket of the past. A crappy project that I failed, a beaten up binder with the script of one of the high school plays I was in, etc. - Omnivert; I come off as timid and overly polite to people I'm just getting to know because of my anxiety/fear of rejection, but I still give off this confident leadership vibe whenever I feel like I'm in some position of authority. When I'm comfortable around people, then I get more extroverted and bolder. - I have terrible sleep issues. I stay up late because it takes forever for me to feel tired, even with medications; I either wake up constantly through out the night or too early with maybe 3 hours of sleep. Sometimes my sleep pattern is so bad that eventually my body gives up and I sleep for far too long. - And a bonus fact: If I were to have a quirk, I think it would be something related to impersonating voices!

(Thank you so much! I'm definitely still doing these babies so no worries. Looking through, we have a few things in common like the quirk exactly, and the autumn being your favorite season etc, and especially researching but not drawing etc. Sorry I'm rambling, I love having the same interests as others haha. Also no need to worry about minors considering that's only Toga and Mustard here and I'm NOT putting them on the match-up list lol. Anyway let me shut up and get it started haha!)

-Oh yes, I'm sure you maybe expected this to be the man for you, but let me at least explain to you why! The two of you met on a rather cold evening while you were both heading to a local theater production of (whatever yknow?). It was a little uncomfortable considering he walked behind you silently for at least a block and a half. You turned to stop and look at him, secretly prepared to defend yourself if you needed to do so. He raised his hand in defense and smiled. "My apologies! I wasn't aware you were in front of me! I was reading." He raised his other hand up to show a pamphlet he'd been scanning for the past few steps. "You sighed in relief. "Oh thank goodness. The city has been wild lately and my quirk isn't cut out for combat exactly." You silently cursed yourself for revealing that. 'Great job y/n, now this complete stranger knows you can't protect yourself...' Lucky for you, it wasn't needed. He turned out to be a rather nice person. He followed alongside you and struck a conversation. You ended up learning a bit about each other like your quirks and some of your surface level interests. When you got to the show you ended up sitting next to each other the entire way through. Well you weren't going to but he certainly ended being the one to reach out and ask for your email. You laughed considering he wanted communicate through email instead of phone numbers. You ended up giving him both and heading home.

-He kept in touch fairly often with you. The two of you talked about various plays coming to town, and sometimes you brought up different restaurants and cafe's you'd like to check out. Soon the suggestions turned into date requests and the next thing you knew, the both of you were going steady. Dating him was over the top but in a good way. He made you laugh and never failed to express his affections for you. Although he was only 32, he had an old-fashioned way about him. He was the type to practice chivalry on a daily basis, never really text and use emojis, and sometimes complained about the local youth. It was odd but in a charming way I suppose. It was up to you to introduce him to things he wasn't very well versed in. For example, when it came to video games he was ass...I mean the worst you could ever imagine. He preferred to try out solitaire and mahjong rather than more interesting games. As far as your other hobbies, he was more interested in them. Art and writing was something he took part in himself. He was never any good at people or animals but he can paint backgrounds for days! When it comes to writing he shows you that on a weekly basis. He often gave you poems he wrote about you when you least expect it. Your hair and eyes are often a subject of them! He takes pride in knowing you're sentimental and that you'll hold onto these things. He's the same way with you, therefore he will keep what you give him and hold it close to his heart.

-You'll find he's supportive of you in all you choose to do with your life. Right now while you're in college he's cheering you on every step of the way. He loves if you come home and sum up what you've learned or did for that day. He's a good listener so he doesn't lose focus when you tell him even the most simple of details. He'd love to come along with you one day to your campus nature reserve but he understands if that isn't allowed. Instead he'll also settle for a nice picnic out in the woods with bird or wildlife watching. If you can bear the possibility of bugs then you might catch an owl or fox during the late evening hours near the creek by your shared apartment. He's taken to having dates around this time until fall rolls around. it's cooler in the evening and he knows how much you despise the sweat.

-Speaking of the fall season, he regularly enjoys it as much as you do. It's not his favorite season (winter is), but he still likes it a great deal. Halloween is a good holiday for someone like him since he's able to go out with his mask on and not be pestered by law enforcement. The league became as popular as Stain so a few youngsters are out on Halloween dressed as his counterparts. The same counterparts he doesn't bring around you too often since they can be a bit much. He almost killed Dabi when the man tried to gift you a cliché witch hat and broom after he learned you're Pagan/Wiccan. That was probably the first time you'd seen Compress so mad at someone before. It's up to you whether or not you want to continue to hang out with them after that. Compress knows you can sometimes be introverted at first before opening up so he doesn't want to force them on you.

-As a whole, he's a really great person to have fallen in love with. Around the house he never skips on his end of the chores because he knows you'll take over and clean everything. He keeps the organization in line since it's not your forte exactly, and he always pulls his weight. At night when things have settled down in your happy little home, he cuddles up and pulls you close to him. He knows you won't be falling under so soon but he'll be here when you do, and he'll be here when you wake up not too long after. In general, he'll be there for you no matter what (and that goes for EVERYTHING, not just sleep).
