Top Five Favourite?

MAX Charisma/MAX Intelligence, Grumpy/Sunshine where the girl is the grump or Prince type/'fuck that, thank you' pairings (in my head, these are all living under the same umbrella) - bonus points if it's rivals to lovers

Fey bullshit. Anything with fey bullshit in (and Sarah J Maas doesn't count)

Ambiguously worded prophecies, bargains, and/or contracts

Arranged marriage/Relationship of Convenience to feelings

Genre savvy protagonist (it's the isekai in me, but also this is my favourite brand of horror story)

Special mentions:

Wizard x Sorcerer and they're both mad about it (Uprooted, Howls Moving Castle )

I really like Cinderella/Goose Girl retellings/story structures where an overlooked, fundamentally good person finally earns recognition. Cinderella stories are a weakness of mine for this reason.

And my least favourite, delivered with a 'no shade' caveat:

Babies ever after (especially 'something to remember him by', where the LI dies but it's fine because single motherhood will fix it).

Yesss~ ToG thoughtss crafting go

1. I honestly go back and forth between a couple variations of the same theory, but I honestly don't believe that the 'princes' (but mostly Wangnan) actually have parents. Either its the clone theory, or the insistent terminology of "seed of the King" has more significance than we know (I like this one). Added to that, Wangnan 'inherited' something the others don't have (the horns/his title/the Sword), and may or may not have named himself. 2. Bam/or whatever may be possessing his body is some form of beast of destruction/demon, and Rachel is aware of this. The first time Bam saw her, she appeared to have entered the cave wielding a knife, as though she were expecting to get attacked by something, and has confessed that she "fears the night." This might play a part in how easily monsters like Thryssa and the Leviathan adjust to him. Kinship.

3. This is a silly self-indulgent one but, Miseng is related to the Ha Family. Her true power and berserk mode brawling potential reads like something you would expect from the Ha Family and I would not be the slightest bit surprised if it was revealed that she has Great Family ties. She's noted as having a 'strong soul' and is surprisingly durable for such a young girl as well.

4. Rachel knows Arlene personally, and may have even been taught by her. Rachel has mentioned Arlene a number of times, and each time with some degree of familiarity, so I have to assume that they knew each other as well. We know that Arlene left the Tower (somehow) according to her journal and Bam ended up in the cave as a result, so it makes sense that Rachel came into contact with him through some interaction with her.

5. Zahard is similar to Bam in that he has also "consumed" some kind of eldritch being, and made it part of him. This may be an intentional effort of his part to become "less human," possibly to escape fate.

in no particular order, here we go:

Jeddah gp 2022

i just love the whole thing, how lewis outperformed max and how val got esteban right at the finish line to win the constructor's championship 8th time in a row. because i love you, i even watched the netflix episode about it, and it's full of lewis praising valtteri and val saying "i think me and lewis may be the best teammates in formula 1". my lovely lovely merc boys :) also, the video of valtteri asking about lewis here - i melt.

Bahrain 2022 my beloved <3

basically the whole Valtteri running after Lewis to congratulate him on the podium, merc admin publishing the picture of the hug for wallpaper wednesday, lewis sharing it to his insta, their first race not as teammates after 5 years and its just. idk. soft ffs, so soft.

also, this post. my fucking HEART.

the progression of their relationship and friendship

i mean, if you look at the grill the grid videos, it's really heartening to see. there was a video i stumbled on while i was watching stuff on yt for, uh, science, and they were asking lewis "this or that" questions. and it was around 2017 i think, and they asked him "jenson or valtteri" and he was like "i dont care", and you can see how tired he is from the questions and how much his last teammate fucked him up. and then we come to the 2021, and this video, and you can see how their relationship has evolved. also, the whole joking around and stuff in 2022. just. i love that val was there and that they managed to become friends after what went down up to 2016. :)

this video. i adore it. i adore it so fucking much :D mine are like, 500 of those views at least. idk what is it about this video, just, the softness, how cute val is, how he makes lewis smile, all of that.

that whole Silverstone race with Merc boys + Toto

the whole video is here. you need to watch it, because it's adorable. they are just adorable, giggling, leaving toto in the dust, demonstrating a masterclass in driving, it's just lovely and i watched it a million times i stg :) it's one of my absolute favorites.

+ BONUS: Grill the Grid video about drivers' numbers, where Lewis legit knows 5 numbers, including his own, but the way he says 77 VB, idk. i just love it so very much :)

DIVINE SOUL SORCERER. (My Durge fanfic that I'm drafting made her a divine soul sorcerer bc it is both 1. the sexiest subclass ever invented 2. the one that makes the most sense for durge and I'm mad about it) 1b) Path of the Zealot barbarian for many of the same reasons.

Circle of Stars druid. With an option for constellation tattoos. Star ladies pretty.
