Suddenly you are gone

It has been two years now. Two years since we saw or spoke with each other.

After seven years of friendship. Sudden stop.

We did not manage to pass the 7th year.

Now I know, we were not supposed to. I realized that it was not what I needed. Our friendship dragged me down. Regularly.

When I spoke up, was true about my thoughts, worries, feelings, I felt dismissed and ignored.

Thats not what friends do.

I ignored the red flags before. I could have realized before. I didnt.

And when I stood in my light, in my power, becoming more true to myself, you naturally had to dissapear.

We were not aligned anymore. I found my strength, my worth, my love for myself.

Finally, I decided to not give myself & my thoughts up. Not even for you my friend.

I truly hope you are fine. I truly hope you one day will break out of your toxic cycle.

Everything in him is telling him to rush over to her, rip into her throat and drink, but he stays seated. It wasn’t a smart move. Not now, anyway. “Did Damon send you to taunt me?”

“Press that against the wound, I’m going to get the med kit.”

What could he say to that? Nothing. Nathaniel knew it would be useless to even bother opening his mouth to protest. So, he did as she said and took the cloth to the bullet wound on his side. They at least had gotten away but in the process, he’d lost a good amount of blood. He could heal, yes, but not at rapid speed where death was impossible. It took him several hours to heal from a cut, much faster than a regular human but bullet wounds were something else entirely. It may take him a couple of days but bed rest wasn’t his option. Not that he could even think of it just yet, the wound needed to be taken care of first. Pressure increased against the wound to stop the bleeding, ignoring the pain as he did so. It wasn’t the first time he’s had to take care of himself like this and it most likely wouldn’t be the last.
