Ana Mendieta was an amazing artist. Her art covered topics such as sexual violence, abuse and sexism but if you're okay to see art with those topics, then you should definitely check it out. she died in 1985, murdered by her husband Carl Andre. He was acquitted, though, despite the fact that there were reports of them arguing minutes before she died, her yelling the word no before falling to her death and the fact that his face was covered in scratches afterwards which were not there beforehand. She had been pushed out of a window on the 33rd floor of the apartment building. Her art is amazing and i hope that she is never forgotten and that her art continues to be an inspiration to artists around the globe.

After that agni Kai when Izumi was about to talk to Lin one of the royal court members said proudly infront of the couple.” Congratulations Fire Lord Izumi you have beaten the person with the most kills in Agni Kai history, Hei-ran Sei’naka”

Ursa father isn’t the same as Iroh's. Only a select few knew the man. The man who Kidnapped and did it to Izumi.  Zuko and Azula found the man within months and both of them burned him to death, a slow death. Which Izumi gladly watched. She never once told her children about what happened they still believed they had the same loving father, and barely managed to tell Lin when they were in their 50s. Lin held onto Izumi the entire night, they both were silent the entire night.

Izumi broke up with Lin more than three times. Each time was for the same reason, she was too afraid of what would happen to Lin if she was seen with her.

Every year Lin disappeared from everyone for a day. No one knew where she went or what she did. But they did know everytime she returned bit of her soul was taken away. One day Izumi got to worried and decided to follow Lin. What she saw was Lin sitting in a graveyard that were filled of her fellow detectives. Izumi never confronted her about it.

Lin rose her voice at Izumi, a voice that she didn’t even use on her sister, Izumi was in shock for seconds before she returned the same shout at her. The argument was over eachother’s habits. It took weeks for them to move on.

Lin often kept her emotions bottled up and when she couldn’t handle her emotional distress she took Izumi who did the same. They both anonymously fought in Pro bending,  bought liquor with the money they won.

Lin hurt Izumi on accident. When they were arguing about Suyin and Toph. Lin bent metal at her enough to barely scrape her right cheek. Izumi wasn’t nearly as affected as Lin was who broke down where she stood and apologized profusely

ok i'm just gonna make my own post since i don't want to annoy the OP but i think a lot of people forget the BDSM motto which is "Safe, sane and consensual" and what people don't fucking realise is that BDSM is supposed to be ALL THREE of those things. If what you're doing is consensual but it's not safe AND sane...honey that's not BDSM that's just....either abuse or just dangerous acts in general. Like is getting off on punching the hell out of someone you're having sex with sane OR safe? no, it's not. If the thing you're doing has the potential to seriously hurt someone, either physically OR mentally then it's not safe nor sane. It doesn't matter how consensual it fucking is, if it's not safe or sane then it's not BDSM, bitch it's abuse. People need to start realising that some shit that has been normalised in the BDSM community are not safe or sane. There's a reason that motto exists, and that's because some things will never be okay to do to people, no matter what. There IS a limit to BDSM. There IS a physical and mental limit to all human beings, and if you go too far you've left BDSM territory and gone straight into abusive and dangerous territory.

The admin knows about but won't do anything I think because his dad gives money for our academic programs. I am really scared and I don't want to anywhere near him. I just can't have him around me. That’s literally so horrible! If you really don’t have many options and don’t want to do anything too drastic,,, like her law enforcement involved,,, then you should consider trying to change some of your classes so that your schedule is different. Or! You can try contacting teachers ahead of time and tell them your personal fears about the situation, a lot of teachers are nice if you can explain it right! I wish there was something I could actually do

sorry, just to clarify - what's your position on the tswift testimony today? couldn't tell via the tags.

I think taylor swift did an amazing job testifying. 

What I meant by my tags was that I found it hard to fully express what an incredible job she did in the right tone. Like, someone did something awful to her and put her in a terrible position and victims of sexual assault get so much shit, so my initial reaction of “oh wow, good for you, taylor!” felt pretty inadequate.

It’s so beyond frustrating how often women are treated the way she was. And also how often victims of sexual assault aren’t in a position where they can express themselves the way she was able to, so clearly and forcefully. 

I think it’s powerful testimony.
