Where did the idea that Ace’s last name is “Copular” come from? From what I’ve seen it was never said anywhere officially and I had a feeling the Ace expert™ would maybe help me figure this out

THATS A GREAT QUESTION and you're right it's definitely not canon and I'm sorry to say at this time, nobody fuckin knows where it came from. even people that have been in the fandom longer than me don't really know, but there are a few theories

it came from a troll. this is pretty widely accepted as Copular in Spanish means......

someone needed a last name for a fanfic or au and it got out of control

just people making stuff up on the wiki for no reason... this is pretty common for the ppg wiki. I'm pretty sure they gave Grubber a last name as well but sadly not as many eyes are on him

this one's a personal theory -> "Ace" was too vague so somebody just made up a last name so they could find their stuff easier + people ran with it

there r probably other theories but I forgor them rn

but yeah all this to say it just kinda appeared one day sometime over 10 years ago and people ran with it

fun fact! it's so well known at this point that the 2016 reboot lists his voice as "Ace Copular" when that's never been confirmed before <- im not counting it bc this implies they literally just read his wiki to write him
