All right, folks -- we have hit Summer Thursday in the Chill Save, and it is VACATION TIME! I think Victor, Alice, and Smiler have earned one, don’t you? And after all, I made them such a nice little cabin last time to stay in -- be a shame not to use it!

Of course, I couldn’t have them leave in the middle of the night, which is when I normally stop my play sessions in-game -- so while Victor and Alice caught up on their sleep, Smiler made another computer chip (getting up to level 6 Robotics in the process) and tried giving one of the specters a zebra fizz they stirred up on their new bar -- unfortunately, the little blob wasn’t impressed. Fortunately Smiler’s silver tongue was able to smooth the situation over afterward and stop anything truly bad from happening. They also took care of the chickens, cleaning out the coop and scattering feed, before taking out the trash. Gotta make sure the chores are all done, after all!

Alice, meanwhile, got up just in time to do a little scavenging (got a time capsule, haven’t opened it yet) and get that last bit of werewolf XP to take her up to Prime werewolf status! She got the Grumpy Wolf temperament, meaning she now needs more naps. *shrug* “Wolf Nap” was one of the first abilities I got her, so hopefully this won’t be too much of a burden! And Victor slept in, did some last-minute recycling, and grabbed some groceries for their trip -- mostly because I was mean and gave the version of “Green Getaway Makeover” in this save the “Simple Living” lot challenge. XD Look, I felt it (and Wild Foxes) made sense for a cabin in the woods! But yeah, with that, they were all ready to head to Granite Falls for the next three days to close out summer!

. . .meaning, of course, when they arrived, it was raining. *sigh* Welp. I promptly tried to make the best of things -- I sent Victor and Smiler inside to amuse themselves while I had Alice transform and brave the drizzle to “Hunt For Food” as per her latest ability. I then started looking for the others to find ways to keep them occupied out of the rain. Victor was inside having a shower --

And Smiler was outside having one. *facepalm* And better yet, as they finished, the local park ranger, Kalama, walked up. She was initially shocked by Smiler’s state, but once they put on clothes and greeted her, naturally they were the best of friends. XD Good thing too, as halfway through their chat, Alice showed back up with a plate of fresh red meat to wolf down. I don’t think Kalama signed up for this in ranger school!

They traveled with Dream for a long while, and were some of the few that actually knew that he was a vampire. The times he's tried feeding from them never ended well :') For a long while, Dream went half starved. At least until Cross came along, since werewolves have extraordinary healing, they make great blood bags lol

I've been working on a story for about a year now, and I'm having fun developing the main character. So here's his introduction...

Aaron Klafford

Age: 32

A decedent of the Twelve Progenitors.

Host to the Six-eyed Lycanthrope

History When Aaron's great-grandmother died, the powers of the albino lycanthrope became his. As a child, he was incredibly inquisitive which always made him seem a little more mellow than other kids. He was shy to a degree, but it was more out of fear of getting discovered that he wasn't necessarily "normal." This initial fear soon turned into a severe anxiety issue when he was a teen. While growing up, he learned of his heritage, and the mantle of responsibility as one of the 12 apostles, and it scared him. He saw what the others became, and the idea of gruesomely mutating into a creature caused him to distance himself from his family members and other werewolves.

It wasn't until a certain traumatic event happened when he was 18, that he completely ran away from the life of being one of the chosen. Aaron has accepted the traumatic experience and knows that he's not responsible, but it completely warped his feelings on using his wolf form, as it breaks him down physically, and somewhere in the recesses of his mind, he can feel the sentience of the "blessing" that was given so long ago.

Keeping his head down, Aaron was able to escape the gaze of the other 11 and his family and went into hiding. Eventually, he was able to snag a job as a nighttime security guard at an art museum and made enough money to live in a small apartment. His life has been somewhat calmer since he left, but there's something that keeps nagging at the back of his mind. Maybe it's the fear, maybe it's the anxiety of being found…or maybe it's his instincts warning him that something is coming and that he'll have to accept his monstrous side to overcome it.

Shockwave secretly loves that you trust him enough to be so different from your normal self

He prefers it normally if it's quiet but somehow he doesn't find it annoying when you tell him all those facts that you learned

If it's something about earth then the chances are high that he didn't know it, but if it's something about cybertron and/or cybertronians then he most likely knows it already

But he won't tell you that unless you already told him that fact

Another cycle in the lab with Shockwave, while most found his presence cold and a little unsettling even you think that that's just because they don't know him as good as you.

You loved it in the lab, especially when Shockwave was there, and it seems like a safe place for you to talk.

Sometimes Predaking or Knockout or some other Con would interrupted your conversations but other than that it was pretty relaxing for you there.

It seems like Shockwave enjoyed you being with him too because he never interrupts your little fun facts and talks a much more than with others.

"..Shockwave, did you know that there is a thing called Ovipositor that helps to breed? From what I learned the spike retreats and the Ovipositor helps so the eggs won't slip out while being moved into the carrier. I find that very interesting."

You sometimes get a nod and/or a answer that encourages you to research more or he tells you what you want to know but most times you switch topics very fast because of how busy it can be in the lab.

Soundwave

You both are the perfect duo

Soundwave is, while not very introverted, very quiet and keeps his thoughts to himself a lot too

So you both have a lot in common

But I think he knows a lot of what you tell him already considering he is always searching through some databanks

You let out a sigh after you hear Megatron leave after he, yet again, beat the scrap out of Starscream and left you and Soundwave on the bridge alone.

Some vehicons where normally with you but this cycle the bridge was empty, only you and Soundwave, and that is when you where most comfortable talking.

Sometimes you where humming to some melody you heard somewhere on earth, talking to Soundwave about a mission, or like most times you told him just facts that you just learned or pop up in your processor.

"Hey Sound', did you know that there are many humans that have a preference for murders? Somehow the fact that they are capable of killing makes them seem 'hot' or attractive to them."

He most likely knew what you just said, but never interrupts you or tells you that, he just nods or gives you an emotion to show you he understands.

(You told him something about 'hentai' one time and Knockout was still in the room, the next few cycles where very interesting you couldn't tell if he was disgusted or something else with the looks he was giving you)

I just got this AU idea, like legit, it just hit me so hard. XD But yeah, what if: neing an Assassin wasn't the only secret Giovanni hid? He also kept it secret that the Auditore line is cursed.

Basically, werewolves. I know, cliché, but werewolves are fun! :D

But yeah, Giovanni thought his family was free of the curse as both his father, brother and himself didn't suffer it like their grandfather. That is, until Federico suffered his first transformation. Hearing his eldest sons screams of pain and seeing flesh tear and bones break broke his heart.

'God, why did you curse Federico? Why did you lull me into the false hope of living free of this curse?' He couldn't help but think, watching his son finish the gruesome transformation. He knew he should have struck the beast down while it was incapacitated, but it was Federico, his son. He couldn't do it, even if it would save the rest of his family. He should have had the cages that he and his brother used to sleep in before they knew for certain that they wouldn't transform. Now it's too late. His eldest son would murder them all and if he survived the guards until the morning, he would wake up without his family, covered in their blood.

Any minute now, the beast that was covering in the corner- wait. Werewolves never show fear. And the beassts eyes.. they shine with intelligence. With fear. Could it be? That there is no dumb beast, just his son?

"Federico?"

The beast flinches with the sound of his voice and whimpers. It is truly his son! Federico is not a mindless beast, so unlike his grandfather. So unlike any other beast before him. Maybe the curse has weakened after being absent for 2 generations? No matter how it happened, he will take this blessing.

"Federico, everything will be alright. May i come near you?"

He wants nothing more than to run and hug his son, but even without the madness, Federico will be much stronger than before and his claws are long and sharp. He could easily scratch his father to death in a hug. But his son nods to his request and he cautiously holds his sons featsome face in his hands. The fur is soft, warm and has the same colour as his hair, a dark brown, almost black shade. His dark brown eyes shine with tears, showing how distressed he is. A beast rarely cries and only does so when in great despair. He has heard tales of beasts slaughtering their families while crying, showing that despite not being in control, they are aware. He has not heard of crueler curse and probably never will.

"Federico, i promise you, this transformation is temporary. In the morning you will be back to your human self and i will explain everything. For now, rest. I will stay snd watch over you."

Giovanni watches his son curl up to him, seeking comfort. Usually, Federico would be too old for such things, but being a family of Assassins, they rarely give much thought to what society deems acceptable and in this circumstance, comfort is needed. Everything will be fine by morning. Their lives are irrevocably changed, but it's still a good life.

Man, the words just came flowing out of me. XD So, i imagine this takes place when Federico is around 18. So he knows about the Assassins and has been training for a while(i headcannon he started sround 16-17, unless it's stated somewhere when he started?). Both Giovanni and him decide to keep training him as an Assassin, but they both know that Federico likely won't be trusted or sent away on missions, due to the curse. Renato was a great Assassin, but he very rarely travelled far from Monteriggioni due to not risking being away from the Dungeon. The Dungeon is basically a bunch of deep holes with heavy metal grates ontop. This design ensures that the werewolf can't get out and won't hurt snyone as long as the keep away from the grate.

In this AU, this is why Giovanni waits to tell Ezio about the Assassins. If Ezio turns out to be cursed too, they need to know if he will be like Federico or if he will be a mindless beast. Ezio's room is right next to Federico's, so if Ezio transforms and goes berserk, Federico can try to hold him while everyone gets to the secret tunnel. If Ezio retains his sanity, he can be informed of all the family secrets and start his training. Though it is risky, having a werewolf as an Assassin has some very obvious perks. The increased strenght, agillity and senses bleed into their human form, so they always make great Assassins as long as they ensure there is a cell strong enough to keep them contained.

But yeah. Big brainstorm info dump. XD Was gonna say idk what else to do with this, but then: What if? The day Giovanni and his sons get captured is a fullmoon and Federico transforms? Giovanni tries to explain to Petruccio why his big brother suddenly turned into a monster when they hear the howl of another werewolf. Federico and Giovanni share a sad look and both know that this has to be Ezio. The curse rarely affect women and Claudia is still too young to transform. Ezio is scared and confused and he originaly planned to talk to his father, but now he can't talk and would his father even recognise the monster he's become? Should he even try to see his father? No, he should wait this out, maybe this is a temporary thing and tomorrow everything will be alright.

It's cool as hell and would make her unique and give her an advantage over the other werewolves

It's not organic so it wouldn't make sense for it to change with the rest of her body

How much would that suck if the nerves and tethers to the flesh were separated each time she transformed? Poor woman would have to reattach the damn thing everytime. Sounds far more painful than just the transformation alone! I could not do that to our babygirl. 😭

OFC she has a tail!

How cute would that be? Now Sevika is a stubborn, prideful and grumpy lady and that applies to her werewolf form as well. She won't admit to enjoying anything other than killing, and she's going to try her damnedest not to wag that tail or let you even do anything that might trigger that response. But she is a woman, er... werewolf, with urges and instincts. Will power and stubbornness can only go so far before it's overpowered by the more natural responses. So if you know some of her secret weaknesses, and you can get close enough to exploit those, you better believe you're gonna see that tail do a little dance.

Belly rubs? Oh she LOVES those!

Again, you're gonna have to be sneaky to get close to that fuzzy belly. She's got sharp canines and is not against giving you a warning bite if you get too close to her soft spots.

You're best bet is to catch her while she's napping in her gigantic doggy bed at the foot of your shared bed. (You've forbade her from sleeping on your bed while in her werewolf form. She sheds profusely and has an annoying tendency to kick you with her hind legs when she dreams about chasing prey, which is probably you considering all the annoying things you do to her. Not to mention the one time you were rudely awaken to the mortifying realization that she was humping the back of your leg like a bitch in heat. Not that you have any right to complain when you take into account how much you like to grind on her thigh when she's in her human form.)

She's snoring deeply, belly fully exposed, as she sleeps in her plush doggy bed when you cautiously sneak closer. You sit cross-legged in front of her and ever so slowly reach a hand out. Your palm rests on her soft, warm belly and your eyes flit to hers. They're still closed, so you start making, slow sweeping circles. Her breathing shifts and a hind leg twitches. Before long, the bushy tail that hangs over the edge of her bed starts swaying. The moment you add some light scratching to the belly rubs her tail really starts wagging. You can't hide your adoring smile, even as her eyes suddenly shoot open, purple glowing orbs locking onto yours immediately. Her struggle to react in anger is apparent by how her upper lip twitches as if she's trying to snarl, but she just can't fight how fucking good the tummy rubs and scratches feel. Slip your other hand behind an ear to give it a nice scratch and she's good as yours, tail swinging so hard it's smacking your knee. You might even get a little kiss on your arm from a big ol slobbery tongue.

Fetch? She can't resist.

You're not the only fool who would buy their sexy werewolf GF a nice, loud, squeaky ball to play fetch with. We all would, cause that tail wags so damn hard her back end shakes with it. This, however, is the one she's least happy to admit to enjoying, but all it really takes is throwing the damn ball. Just know that you'll pay for it later (You'll be her pet, on all fours wearing a collar and leash, for at least a day. But don't worry, she'll feed you real well).

Flea collar, or any collar for that matter? Hard nope

Don't even bother trying. You'll be the one in the collar if you do. She doesn't do flea baths either, so you better just get used to your hundreds of new insect buddies.

Good girl? Hahahaha... Nope!

Whatever you do, do not, I repeat do NOT call her "good girl", or you'll be the one in the dog house!

"Hey, babygirl, c'mere!" Sevika calls from the bedroom while you're finishing drying off after showering and you freeze in terror. You know that tone. That condescending, slow sneer. You know you're in trouble. "Need to talk to you about something."

Maybe if you go out there naked, you can make her forget whatever you'd done wrong, which you admittedly have forgotten yourself. Swallowing the lump that formed in your throat, you cautiously step past the doorway and into the bedroom. Sevika, in her human form, sits on the edge of the bed, glowing purple eyes on you and sharp canines poking out from her wide, devious smirk.

"Yes?" You ask sweetly albeit shakily, with false innocence as you step further into the room so she can see your nude form. Your eyes drop to her lap where you find she's already packing her fav strap. Thick, ribbed and curved for your pleasure. Heat rises to your cheeks.

"Do you recall what you called me last night?"

Too distracted by the thought of what she has planned, you shake your head. A movement catches your eye and you realize she's swinging a pair of handcuffs from one thick finger. Heat drops between your thighs.

"When you were petting me in my werewolf form?" She reminds you, tone noticably sharper when she mentions that particular act which was also one of her no-go rules.

Oh. Oh fuck. That.

In the same moment you recall what you'd said, you see the spreader bar, collar and leash lying on the bed beside her. Your doe eyes flit to hers, realizing just what you were in for.

"Good girl?" You squeak out.

"Mhmm. And are you supposed to call me that?"

"No!" You answer quickly, shaking your head profusely. "I'm sorry Sev-"

"On the bed sweetheart. Head down, hands behind your back and on your knees. Oh, and spread them real wide for me. Let's see who's the good girl."

-->Alice came home from her hunt with a couple of plates of meat -- one for the fridge, one for scarfing down purposes. . .but while she was scarfing, I happened to look over at the pet bowls in the kitchen and -- oh. Yeah, we should probably make sure the pets have food too, shouldn’t we? XD Fortunately it didn’t take long to refill the feeders and make sure that both Shadow and Kelly had something to chow down on. (Though now I wonder -- if you wanted to go ‘natural,’ could you leave plates of werewolf-hunted meat out there for them to chow down on? Hmm.)

-->With the pets sorted, Alice spent a little time in the yard scavenging while Victor got in a little sleep and Smiler made a computer chip -- she found a bit of Utranium, which was all right! She also started feeling the Fury again, so I had her unleash a somber howl before returning to human form to enjoy some music. . .

-->And then I was like, “actually, why should she enjoy it alone -- everyone, come down here and dance with her.” And so they did. XD Little private dance party, just for them! They all got some pretty cool moves now, might as well show them off! It only lasted a little while before Smiler went “oh hey, we have laundry to put away,” but it was fun! :)

-->With the impromptu dance party over with, the gang started all doing their own thing again -- Smiler added some new frogs they’d bred to their collection upstairs (a surfer eggplant frog and a spare hypnofrog) and went to practice some yoga; Alice tried the specter sip Victor received recently (she’d been trying to drink it all day, and I finally let her) and got some mischief skill out of it, before transforming again to do some more scavenging before sleeping under the moon; and Victor collected his lemon fizz from the juice fizzer before heading to bed properly. A quiet day, but a productive one!

And next time -- well, next week, all my usual posting is on pause because of Polyship Week, but the week AFTER, we start ramping up the action a little again. Expect seances, power outages, and the purchase of a new lot! Because it occurred to me recently that, if they have grocery stuff to sell, maybe they should have a proper store to sell it in. . .see you then!

Late ask, but just wtf is Sanremo? All I can tell it's something Catholic and has to do with a Saint, but based on the chaos I saw in your reblogs, it also isn't?? The Italian part of me needs to know, mainly because it makes sense for a festival about a Saint to be insane, seeing as many stories about them are pretty insane (read in a children's book on St. Francis of Aussi that when he accepted God's call he stripped naked and strolled out of town, while heard St. Patrick once cursed a group of people being jerks to be werewolves (he asked God to help him out and God was like "Yeah I'll grant you a solid my dude")

So, what is Sanremo??

Nono it's not something Catholic, it's called Sanremo because it takes place in Sanremo, a city in Liguria.

Sanremo it's the "Festival of the italian song" (people can only sing in Italian, that's one of the rules)

But, basically, it's a musical competition where we decide who's gonna represent Italy in Eurovision. Sanremo is way older than Eurovision toh, at first it was just a competition on its own but then they decided to use it for Eurovision too.

The reason why it looks so chaotic it's because IT IS CHAOTIC XD at least it has been for the past 4 years, it became so much fun to watch. So many funny things happened.

We once had this guy, Morgan, who changed his lyric to insult the guy who was gonna sing with him, Bugo. And this poor guy just straight up left the stage and DISAPPEARED for the rest of the night 💀

Hi! I hope you are doing alright.

When I first entered the Gloryhammer fandom a year ago, I genuiely thought all your art and comics were canon and made for the band, and honestly I'm still flabbergasted it's all fanmade content. So I wanted to know how you feel about all the stories you made, what place they had for you in your life and just in general what they represent for you. I hope this isn't too much of a personal question, all the efforts you put in this is fascinating to me, so I'm just curious about that.

Oh hey there! 

First of all, a bit thank you of course. Even though that notion of “thinking it is canon" would probably terrify some particular people xD But I think most do realise it isn't so eventually. I’m indeed just doing it for fun, as a hobby, trying to squeeze it into the free time I have between an actual job :’D

It’s an interesting question though, because the whole thing is naturally important to me, especially given the way I got into it. 

I got into Gloryhammer by chance in March 2020 I think, and by May that year I started the first comic. All art from that time is pretty rough since I genuinely had stopped drawing for a year at that point, because I had started a new job and was still very bitter about having to stop doing art full time due to health reasons at the time. But I made room for this. I had the idea for this story line very early on - which I always called my “5 Year ULF plan” (which I’m still almost on-track on. Going to be 6 years now because stuff got added. Like the Powerwolf comic wasn't planned X))

So, getting into Gloryhammer, kind of revitalised my love for doing this stuff. Worldbuilding, making comics, art and stories.

It’s not been a smooth ride all the way, it is unfortunate to know that some people just don’t get that this is genuinely fun. But there are enough people who follow along and appreciate it. We may not be many, Gloryhammer itself is already niche, so ULF only takes another fraction from that, but it’s never been about clout.  (Like, there was this surreal moment when I posted (1) TF2 fan art in between the ULF stuff in late 2022 and it got like 2000 notes - which was like “ah right, it’s really about fandom size xD”) 

It IS an enormous amount of work though for sure. But it’s sufficiently varied. I finished the next comic a few weeks back (starting on the 22nd this month!!) And I am right now still in the “I never ever want to draw a comic ever again” phase xD but that will fade over the next months again. In the meanwhile I can focus on writing and other art. 

On a more theme related note concerning ULF and what it means to me,

The ULF worldbuilding carries forward a lot of themes and ideas and concepts I had been conceptualising for a long time already. Like ideas about immortality, magic, even the werewolves of Hatir are very closely based on Original content I’ve written before. It also focuses a lot on the idea of characters just not fitting in, or struggling to comply with the status quo in many variations. Which is also a theme that has been running through my stories since forever. There is definitely a lot in ULF that is either important or interesting/fascinating to me personally. (One would assume so I think xD) But at the end of the day, I do it because it's fun to me and I greatly enjoy the result this far.

It’s often very grim and dark - but in the end I always hope to get it to a brighter place. I still plan for a happy end for ULF. So there is hope in that :)

Just finished reading the thicker than demo, and immediately I'm Enthralled. Like, thoroughly captivated. You're writing and world building remains absolutely beautiful, thank you for sharing it with us! I just spent the last couple hours fleshing out my MC for thicker than and her interactions with the world - in particular, how having a child will impact how she interacts with this new world she's found herself in (all of the vampires around her are motivated by blood and power? Okay, well she's motivated by power - power to protect her child. Move over bitches, don't mess with this mama). Imagining her meeting my MC for Blood Moon is... interesting XD I imagine Lady Blackwell has learned very quickly how to do the whole Vampire's Don't Emote thing in order to protect what she cares about the most, so that level of absolute (apparent) apathy is probably fairly horrifying for a werewolf. That particular cultural clash between vampires and werewolves is so interesting to think about, especially after the conflict between the pack and the previous Blackwell - and fuck, the more I learn about the fledglings under his control, and re-reading the Blood Moon fight scenes at the end (how some seemed to "wake up" but we still had to keep fighting) the more horrifying the whole situation was. I just wanna bite into it all and chew on it for a few days or weeks. Anyways, thank you for sharing more of your world with us! I really appreciate it, it's so beautiful and I'm captivated by your writing <3

I'm really glad you liked the demo.

I'm having a lot of fun exploring 'the dark side' with these vampires. Thicker Than is a much messier, much more political game than Blood Moon. And that makes me nervous. I hope I can create a good game, even if it's a little different from what came before.

I love that you're having fun building your vampire character. I hope I can do the story she's in justice. She sounds absolutely amazing.

i love makin aus man theyre so fun! i think im up to like 50+ for mw og and reboot, and at least 10 for ghosts (i joined the party late lol im working on it)

you'd think everyone would know that at least elias is a dragon but theyre not actually sure what any of the walkers are. they know they arent human, absolutely, but aside from merrick (who doesnt have it in him to care, and therefore keeps his mouth shut) and neptune (who knows everything but finds it hilarious to watch everyone guess wrong), they know jack fucking shit XD at first they think maybe werewolves, because you know the whole dog thing theyve got going on (hesh was very offended by that) or maybe vampires (which logan takes so much advantage of), but dragons are rare enough that nobody actually thinks to guess that for a whiiiile

and injuries do transfer between forms! while dragons are very fucking durable (hence the squishing and the pancaking) theyre not invulnerable. theyve got a faster healing time than a regular human, but they can still get hurt. poor logan was a sitting duck, especially since its even harder to switch when youre hurt

Aha! I guessed correctly! >:) Does in fact explain the pancaking they keep doing lmao. Squish. Poor Logan tho, sitting duck. Bet it sucks even beyond just being hurt and stuck in the pit. I can't imagine being born to fly and then being restricted from that.
